I almost gave up on this game when I heard it had been "scaled down" to a downloadable game, but the gameplay I've seen so far looks too stiff to make up for the interesting bits it has to offer.

Funny to note that both reviews basically have the same criticisms, but one reviewer is obviously turned off by it while the other is willing to let some things slide.

With Mass Effect 3 coming in, I doubt I'll end up getting this now...

Same here. I was kind of keeping it in the back of my mind. Then I watched the Gamespot On Spot of it and it seems ok. I'm not really liking the downloadable title aspect. Games like that have a stigma unless they're a certain genre or a port/remake. It kind of reminds me of Amy, minus the escort and horror aspect. If it was episodic I'd be a little more interested.

Is it out yet?

Comes out whenever the ps store updates which doesn't have a set time....just go to blog.us.playstation.com and when it says store updated then it's on there ....other wise just search the ps store every hour since it will show up there before you know it's updated

I tried the demo and I am quite impressed. I don't understand why IGN or others would bash this game so much. It's decent. The game was "designed" to make it difficult to survive. You have no resources or very limited. You might find only a few bullets for your gun in the whole game. That's how it's intended people! So far the graphics and controls seem good. I'll say they aren't "amazing" but certainly this is a good, decent game. I'd give it a score of perhaps 7/10. I haven't experience glitches or bugs yet.

I think if this game was released as a full title it would be a lot more polished, which I think is all it needs. I LOVE it, literally blew me away. If anyone's interested I did a little piece on it here:

Triangle, Circle, X, Square: I am.. Alive

I don't get why it's being bashed either, there's very little I can fault about this game at all, it's a real breath of fresh air.

Thanks for the quality write-up. I was on the fence (leaning towards) getting it, now i am definitely getting it. The atmosphere, realism, moral quandry elements sound great and $14.99 seems well worth it. IGN made me hesitate a little bit but I am going to get it.

Guess I will try the demo first just in case. :)

it's a bit awkward how they went from retail. to PSN.

sounded like they where just trying out this whole, selling games only on PSN thing, but when i see that trophy list,. not being approved enough trophies for a platinum, or just a few gold or whatever.

I don't play the games just for the trophies, have that in mind,

but that trophy list, is the proof of that either something is missing in this game, developers f***ed up or something.

because if they where planning retail at first, they must have had something bigger than this in mind.

I don't care about reviews. I played the demo, liked it, gonna buy it. Simple
Exactly.

Reviews from the big news sources are becoming less and less credible, especially IGN. These days you just HAVE to play the game yourself to know if you like it. Years ago perhaps reviews had more substance but not anymore. The reviewers are like little spoiled children who get to play every game before it is released (and they do - that's how they get to review them by getting press and preview copies). They don't appreciate paying for a game and enjoying it at face value. Everything has to be technical and circumstantial with them.
