R353ARCH D35TROY
I wanted to make a better sorted list for the DLC for Hyperdimension Neptunia. There's a lot of content, and on the surface it seems a bit overwhelming. However, there's a lot of content here that is offered for free or very cheap. It pleases me to see a game of this nature have both DLC to expand the game post-market, and DLC for those that like to splurge on useless items (which is where most of the DLC cost comes from). All prices and content taken from US PlayStation Store. R353ARCH D35TROY
Thank you, fixed, and moved them to a separate category. Would you care or be able to contribute any explanations, weapon stats, opinions, or screenshots for any of the DLCs? I haven't bought anything yet. I'd like to finish the game in it's original integrity first. Edited June 27, 2011 by R353ARCH D35TROY
Shuffle
Well for 1 thing, the tickets for Gust and NISA let you play as them in battle and as well as be the character who walks around in dungeons. Without it, they just become a Guest on your team and have no more role in the game at all. Gust can use the Search, while NISA does the Monster Call. The Red and 5pb events is like the Gust and NISA tickets, but the DLC also includes the needed events to get them to join your party with some new CGs. Once they join you, you can use them in battle or have them be the one who walks around in dungeons. Red uses the Obstacle Breaker, while 5pb I believe uses the Search. Some images I found that should help http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z104/AweOfShe1/SAM_0595.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z104/AweOfShe1/SAM_0568.jpg http://www.capsulecomputers.com.au/wp-content/uploads/hyperdimension-neptunia-nurse-outfit-pe-outfit.png http://savepoint.es/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/hyperdimension_neptunia_01.png http://admintell.napco.com/ee/images/uploads/gamertell/hyperdimension_neptunia_gust.jpg After you buy it on the PSN Store, buy it at the in-game store for free in order for it to be usable. R353ARCH D35TROY
Some of the costumes look really cool! But I can't possibly afford them all. And 5pb as a playable for $4? I have to finish the game and delve into at least SOME of the DLC treats... Two things I'd like to really explain or clarify for the DLC is the missions... 1) Will adding new missions raise or lower the monster or dungeon percentages? 2) Are the missions meant as end-game activities, offering more powerful versions of the trophy-based weapons, or as stepping stones for those struggling or that wish to make the journey through the main story seem longer? And thank you for the pictures, I'll try to think of a way to enhance the 1st post with them.
Shuffle
I don't think the dungeons add any percentage to the main percentage since well they're extra. As for monsters, I do remember the Japanese version having some glitch on a monster not registering, but 1 of these missions was able to get that enemy to register. Some missions have a basic like requiring to be level 20 or so, but some say like 600 or more(needless to say I never went into those dungeons, so don't really know what that's about). Yes 5pb becomes playable if you get the 5pb events and see all of the needed events to have her join your party. Same thing goes with Red. Gust and NISA have the events in the game, so for them it's basically just making them playable which is why they're cheaper since there's no other events to see for them. saceria
what do the level cap packs do? do they unlock the ability to level higher, or do they add that many levels to your character?
stgermain
what do the level cap packs do? do they unlock the ability to level higher, or do they add that many levels to your character? They up the level cap for characters. The level cap without DLC is 99. It's useful for those very high leveled DLC dungeons, but it's not needed for the platinum since once you hit the 90s, you can easily beat everything. marsx69
I know this is a bit old but do the items do anything other than just giving you a new costume to run around in? And can the cpu parts be obtained during regular game play?

And can the cpu parts be obtained during regular game play? Well like most JRPG games with additional costumes, the costumes can lower or raise your stats like AP, HP, ATK, DEF, INT, MEN, VIT, etc depending on what else you have equipped on that character. If you go into the shop in the game called Amazoo(yes a parody of Amazon.com), you can already buy some additional costumes to add to your characters, but these DLC ones are not in the actual game unless you get the DLC. Not a 100% certain if the CPU parts can be obtained in normal gameplay, but it does make it a lot easier especially like with the other 3 Goddesses(Green Heart, Black Heart, and White Heart who don't even join your party until like the very end of the game if your shares for their lands are good from those ranked dungeons). marsx69
Thanks Shuffle. I haven't been too far through HDN yet but wasn't sure if they were just skins. BTW I like your avatar of Luca and Cloche. AT2 is a super game!

R353ARCH D35TROY
Accessories do add to stats... the first few you find in game don't do much of anything, but as you progress through the story, you'll find ones that do affect stats to a very small degree. As to just how effective the DLC ones are and what if any stats they affect is anyone's guess. ^^ If it's stats you want, I assume the additional character levels will give more bang for your buck. ItazuraOokami
There's a free level 999 mission. Sounds a little like they want you to buy the level caps to be able to enjoy the dungeon.

Rentarou
I'm planning to buy this game soon, so i wanna ask a few things: 1. Will u recommend buy any of these dlc? Like character stats enhancements? Can it really help in game? 2. Someone said that there free dlc with best sword for Neptune. Which one is that and do u recommend use it? Zeokage
I'm going to be getting into the game soon and got the free DLC in preparation as well as the Red and 5pb stuff. My question would be whether and why I should go for the Battle Tickets, Level Cap and Mail/Devil units. Can you get them later and they'll work straight away? I heard that the Red and 5pb DLC has to be downloaded before you start a new game for them to work.

Lotus1604665345
So, I just got the free DLC dungeons a while ago but just now got around to bothering with it recently. Unfortunately, whilst I'm able to S-rank most of them on my first time through there's one or two that I haven't quite managed yet (though being low 70s for my average level is probably why and the recommended is 999; I can manage to finish them, just not quite quick enough). Issue here is I'm unsure if I'm locked out of getting Speedy Hunter until I'm capable of S-ranking the DLC dungeons or not. I'm mostly done with the in-game ones, since I have all of Planeptune and Lastation done but for the higher end DLC so I'm not sure if it's safe to ignore these and move on to Lowee and Leanbox yet or not. e; Well, I just got Multi-Platform and I haven't been to every DLC dungeon yet so I assume that the same holds true for Speedy Hunter too.
