Road Map

Introduction:

The sequel to the cult game Hyperdimension Neptunia is finally here! Instead of focusing on the console wars, this time the game focuses on the handheld wars.

This game requires two playthroughs, though the game is quite short, and there is New Game+, which carries over levels, Lily Ranks, and items from previous playthroughs. The reason for two playthroughs is that a certain secret boss does not appear until New Game+. The shares do reset, and you have to recruit everyone again. Also, the Chirper events are reset, and the skills related to them have to be reacquired. This time, you do not have to defeat all the monsters in the game, nor do you have to view all the events. There are seven different endings in the game. If you want to fill up the gallery, you will need to complete the game seven times, though it is not necessary for the platinum.

Shares are different in this game. Each individual city now has its own shares. To change the shares in each city, you must complete quests in the Guild or coliseum battles (the coliseum opens up in Chapter 5). Many quests are repeatable for share grinding. When you accept a quest, notice who is the sponsor and how will the shares change. The sponsor is the city whose shares will be affected upon completion of the quest. The global shares are based off the combined total of shares of every city on the world map.

Included in this game is Lily Rank. Upon completing Chirper events with certain playable characters, your Lily Rank with them increases. They also increase when you use the characters in battle. The Lily Rank has an effect on endings (except for the Conquest Ending). The highest rank is 5, indicated with a red blushing face. To check the Lily Ranks, go to Tomes in the Main Menu and select "Lily Rank".

Step 1: Play through the game, and get the Conquest Ending.

I recommend getting the Conquest Ending first since Lily Ranks do not matter (and they carry over in New Game+), and because it is the most tedious ending to get.

During this step, you will want to increase the shares in the cities of Leanbox, Lowee, and Lastation as high as possible (at least over 55%). In Chapter 2 or Chapter 3, once shares are high enough in the city, use the Chirper menu to talk to NPCs. Talk to Slayer in Lastation, Arfoire Mama in Lowee, and Mid-Level Explorer in Leanbox, to view events about rumors of a Demon Sword. Do not change the shares at this time. I recommend that you do the Chirper events with each character to raise their Lily Rank. While it's not necessary for this ending, they will help when you start a New Game+, since the Lily Ranks carry over.

In Chapter 5, once Neptune joins, go to each capital city and recruit Noire from Lastation, Blanc from Lowee, and Vert from Leanbox. Here, you will earn the trophies Vert's Return, Noire's Revenge, and Blanc's Vengeance. Once all three have been recruited, increase Planeptune's global shares (not just the city) to over 55%.

Once you complete Chapter 5, instead of going to Chapter 6, you will continue to "Apocalypse: The Savior's Sorrow". Finish the game, and you will earn the trophy The Blood of Many...

Step 2: New Game+

Once you complete the game, the game prompts you to save. Be sure to do so. From the title screen, choose "Continue", and load up the file that you just saved. You will start from the beginning of the game, but your levels, items, and Lily Ranks carry over. Continue playing the game normally until you reach Chapter 6. Make an extra save here, since from here we will branching out onto different endings, and DO NOT overwrite it!

Step 3: Get the other endings

From Chapter 6, you can get the other six endings in the game. Please refer to each trophy for more information on how to get each ending. At the end of this step, you should get Normal Ending, Human Ending, Planeptune Forever, Leanbox Lover, Lastation Training, Lowee's Readership, and Happily Ever After.

Step 4: Cleanup

Here, you can get any trophies that you have missing. Be sure to level up all of your characters, including the optional ones, to level 99 to get Freshly Grinded Girls, and defeat Delphinus in the Coliseum to get Delphinus Wrecked.

You need to go to a town and select "Item Synth" and create an item. The game forces you to make a Nep Bull in order to proceed. All the ingredients can be found in the Virtua Forest. The needed ingredients are: 5 herbs, 3 dogoo jellys, and 3 yellow petals. The herbs can be found in gathering points by pressing :cross:, and the other items by defeating dogoos (dogoo jelly), and tulips (yellow petals).

Neptune joined the party.

This is story related and cannot be missed. You get this at the beginning of Chapter 5, after a fight with CFW Magic. This is a hopeless battle, so do not bother to try to win, unless you are in New Game+. Winning this battle does not net anything special.

Vert joined the party.

To recruit Vert, you must first reach Chapter 5 and Neptune must have joined your party. Increase the shares in the city of Leanbox to at least 50%, and there will be a cutscene, and Vert joins. Unlike in the prequel, you do not fight her.

Nisa joined the party.

This is story related and cannot be missed. You get this in Chapter 2, in the Virtua Forest Depths. After the fight with Ancient Dragon, she joins before the fight with three M-3 Customs. The Ancient Dragon fight is rather easy, if you have Nepgear transform and unleash Mirage Dance. The M-3 Customs fight can be a bit difficult. Be sure you have a way to cure paralysis, and concentrate on one at a time. Use skills whenever applicable. One Mirage Dance from Nepgear can finish one off.

You get this trophy after fighting a battle on the field after the initial quests. The first battle with 3 Dagoos nor the battle after that one with a Grandagoo do not count. For a preemptive attack, press :square: and if the weapon strikes the enemy, you will get a preemptive attack.

Fought 500 battles.

To earn this trophy, you need to fight 500 battles. This counter does carry over in New Game+. You will get this while aiming for the platinum. Be aware that if your level far exceeds the enemy on the field, when you press :square:, instead of a fight, the enemy disappears. These do not count towards this trophy, nor they give you any experience or items.

This is story related and cannot be missed. You get this in Chapter 5 after defeating CFW Magic in Planeptune. Unlike the previous CFW Magic fight, this is not a hopeless fight and you have to win. Not much to say here, but surround her with all four characters on different sides, keep your HP up, and revive any incapacitated characters.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/1393/85A.jpgCombo Championhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Achieved an 80-hit original combo.

The combo hit counter increases everytime you hit an enemy, and it keeps increasing until either you do something other than attack (like healing), or an enemy takes its turn. Using standby does not break the combo. Hitting multiple enemies at once increases your combo even quicker. A good fight to attempt this is the Ram and Rom in Chapter 3, in New Game+, though any fight with multiple boss characters works well. Have all four characters surround the twins, and keep pressing :circle: to standby. Once you have accumulated 2 turns of AP for all four characters, unleash all of your attacks. Be sure that your attacks hit both twins whenever possible. I managed to get a 118 hit combo in this fight.

Some other good fights to try is the Level A fake CPU fights in the coliseum (except for Green Heart), since there are multiple enemies with high HP that even works with level 99 characters.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/1393/456.jpgTake Off, Every CPU!http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Dealt over 100,000 damage.

The 100,000 damage has to be all in one combo. Anything other than attacking (such a healing), or if the enemy takes a turn, breaks the combo. Using standby does not break the combo. You will likely get this without even trying once your characters are at a very high level.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/1393/336.jpgFreshly Grinded Girlshttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Everyone reached level 99.

I recommend waiting until New Game+ to get this trophy, since New Game+ opens new areas for level building. You need to get everyone to level 99, including the optional characters. Level 99 requires 31,732,731 exp. The new areas are Powerlevel Island and Panan Jungle, with Panan Jungle having the stronger enemies. Be sure to partner up each character with a character with EXP+ support to make this go much quicker. If you are feeling daring, you can try the higher ranks in the coliseum for good experience too.

To earn the normal ending, you cannot meet the requirements for the True Ending, nor the Conquest Ending. You get this after finishing Chapter 6.

To earn this ending, you must get the normal ending. Then you need to have a Lily Rank of 5 with the following characters: Compa, IF, Nisa, Gust, and 5pb. Do not recruit Noire, Blanc, or Vert, and be sure to keep the city of Planeptune's shares low (below 65%). Though it is possible to get this ending having recruited the goddesses, it is not recommended, but if you have, keep their respective capital cities below 65% of their home shares. After the credits (feel free to skip them with :square:), there will be an extra cutscene where this trophy unlocks.

To earn this ending, you must get the normal ending. Then you need to have a Lily Rank of 5 with Neptune. The city of Planeptune's shares should be at least 70% (global shares do not matter). For best results, do not recruit Noire, Blanc, or Vert, but if you have, keep their respective capital cities below 65% of their home shares. After the credits (feel free to skip them with :square:), there will be an extra cutscene where this trophy unlocks.

To earn this ending, you must get the normal ending. Then you need to recruit Noire. You need to have a Lily Rank of 5 with Noire and Uni. The city of Lastation's shares should be at least 70% (global shares do not matter). For best results, do not recruit Vert or Blanc, but if you have, keep their respective capital cities below 65% of their home shares. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1393/F18.jpgDelphinus Wreckedhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Defeated the secret boss, Delphinus.

Delphinus is a Level S coliseum battle. To unlock this battle, you must first beat the game and start a New Game+. Once you reach Chapter 5 in New Game+, the coliseum unlocks and this fight will be available. It is best to attempt this battle with characters at least in the mid 90s. A party of 4 level 99 characters with high HP and AVD should not have much difficulty with this battle, though bring in many healing and reviving items, because she tends to hit hard. Having high AVD stats helps too, since her attacks will miss more often, so bring AVD boosting items, like Golden Feathers and White Owl Feathers. White Owl Feathers are better since they also raise an ally's TEC, so that you can land more hits. Other recommended items are P. SP Charger 1 & 2 to increase characters SP (especially Neptune's) so that you can use skills more often and down Delphinus quicker.

The best characters to use for beating Delphinus are Neptune partnered with Nepgear in the back row (be sure that you have their combination attack Violet Schwestern) by doing all of their Chirper events), and IF, due to her natural high AVD. The other two characters do not matter much, except do not bring mage-like characters (Compa, Gust, Ram, and Rom). I personally used Noire and Blanc (high natural HP). Spread out your characters so that she only hits one character at a time. To do a lot of damage, use Neptune's combination attack Violet Schwestern for massive damage.

Due to this being a coliseum fight, the game will not end if you lose. The only things that you lose are time and whatever items you used in the fight.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1393/CE2.jpgThe Blood of Many...http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png (missable!)

Finished the Conquest ending route.

There are many requirements for this ending:

First, you need to view all three Demon Sword rumor events. Raise the shares to at least 55% in Lastation, Lowee, and Leanbox. Use the Chirper menu in each city and talk to the following: Slayer in Lastation, Arfoire Mama in Lowee, and Mid-Level Explorer in Leanbox. This can be done as early as Chapter 2, though Chapter 3 is also a good spot to get them. Here is a video of all the Demon Sword rumor events, credit to MasterLL:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LzR1JDjXmhs]「Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2〠C05b-17-E "Demon Sword Rumors" - YouTube[/ame]

Lastation event starts at 0:00, Lowee event starts at 0:28, Leanbox event starts at 1:08.

Second, once you reach Chapter 5, after getting Neptune, recruit the goddesses in Lastation, Lowee, and Leanbox.

Third, increase Planeptune's global shares to over 55%.

Lily Ranks do not matter for this ending.

Once you finish the second CFW Magic fight, instead of going to Chapter 6, you head to a Chapter called "Apocalypse: The Savior's Sorrow", and you will be locked into this route. Complete the game for this trophy.

Viewed the True ending.

To earn this ending, you will need to recruit Noire, Blanc, and Vert in Chapter 5 or 6. The global shares of Planeptune, Lastation, Lowee, and Leanbox must be at least 15%, and Arfoire's global shares must be below 40%. You will need shares of at least 70% in each capital city. You also need to have a Lily Rank of at least 4 with every character. If done correctly, upon completion of Chapter 6, you go to Chapter 7, and you will be locked into the True Route.

Share Guide

Here is a list of quests and coliseum battles that will help you increase shares. This is not a comprehensive list of all the quests, but the quests that will help get the shares necessary for the endings. These quests can be repeated many times. Do not do any quests, aside from those required by the storyline, unless you are attempting to change shares. If you are going for the Conquest Ending, I recommend that you transfer shares from Arfoire to its nation's shares, and then transfer its nation's shares to Planeptune. Example: for Midgard (a Lastation city), transfer it's Arfoire's shares completely to Lastation, and then transfer its Lastation's shares to Planeptune's.

WARNING: Do not do the quest Level C Guild Quest "Members Wanted". This quest affects the shares in the city of Lastation. It transfers 15 of the city's shares from Lastation to Leanbox. There are no quests in the game that can undo this!

Lily Rank Guide

Lily Rank is a new feature introduced in this game. When you do certain Chirper events and use characters in battle, their Lily Rank goes up. The Lily Rank has an effect on certain endings, and the Lily Rank does carry over in New Game+. The Lily Ranks also effects Item Synths, since you cannot synthesize certain items without having at least a certain Lily Rank.

This is the Lily Rank system.

http://i.imgur.com/GMBeM9B.jpg

The Lily Rank goes from 1 (the angry purple face), to 5 (the blushing red face).

To view the Lily Rank of all the characters, outside of battle, go to the Main Menu, then "Tomes", then "Lily Rank". The screen should look like this:

http://i.imgur.com/EjEZCDN.jpg

Note: It really does not matter who is the Lily Rank No. 1, since it has very little effect (it is a tiebreaker for endings if the same conditions are met with other characters).

The fastest way to increase the Lily Rank is to do Chirper events in each capital city. Since Chirper events do reset when you start a New Game+, you can redo Chirper events again to gain another Lily Rank boost.

The location of each playable character is as follows: Nepgear and Neptune on Planeptune; Nisa, Noire, and Uni on Lastation; Blanc, Gust, Ram, and Rom on Lowee; 5pb. and Vert on Leanbox.

Note: You cannot get Chirper events with characters who are not yet in your party.

Using characters in battle alongside with Nepgear also increases Lily Rank, but it is much slower. I recommend using characters whose Lily Rank are not maxed out in the battle front lines whenever you are doing quests for shares or grinding for levels.

Nice guide, I just need a bit of clarification on step 1.

Once you get to chapter 5 and need to raise Planeptune's global shares, is it then fine to lower the shares Lowee, Leanbox, and Lastation have in their own cities?

Thanks.

That depends on which ending youre going for.

Youll need all those different places at 80 for the true ending. However, youll need planeptunes shares at 80 in each city AND 55 of world shares for the conquest ending.

I highly recommend going for the Conquest Ending first, which is indicated in my roadmap. Yes you should lower Lowee's, Leanbox's, and Lastation's shares, and transfer them to Planeptune, so that you can get Planeptune's global shares above 55%. I'll have a more in depth guide on which quests to transfer shares soon (this is why I reserved two posts).

Are the enemies tougher at the Conquest route (The Apocalypse Chapter)? As in do you need to be a over leveled when attempting it at your first playthrough?

Thanks!

No. The enemies are a little tougher than in Chapter 6, but you'll level up fast also. The bosses might be a little difficult because you sometimes have more than one enemy at once.

This is how all the demon sword rumor scenes in the game look like. This video was made by MasterLL, so thanks to him.

The Leanbox event starts at 1:08.

If you've recruited all the CPUs, can you still, say, get the Lastation ending as long as only Lastation City's share is over 70%?

That is correctly, assuming that your Lily Rank is 5 with both Uni and Noire. If you have more than one city over 70%, the city with the highest percentage will take over, assuming that the Lily Ranks are over 5.
