duck360
Big Thanks to RED_REBEL44 for the header! Overview Estimate difficulty: 8/10 (Platinum Difficulty Thread) - Platinum now unobtainable due to Server shutdown. Offline: 37 (1(G) 5(S) 31(B)) Online: 11 (1 , 2(G) 3(S) 5(B)) Approximate time: 100+ hours Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 2 Missable trophies: None ( Chapter Select is available ) Glitched trophies: 1 Over the Hill Reach experience level 50 in Multiplayer - See this thread for more details PLEASE READ: Warning -- Platinum Possibly Unobtainable (game is crap too BTW) - PlaystationTrophies.org Cheats disable trophies: No cheats Difficulty affect trophies: Must beat each chapter on Guerrilla difficulty. Online Code/Pass: Yes Road To Platinum Homefront has both Offline and Online trophies: Single Player The single player trophies are all chapter-related trophies which require you to do something in a specific Chapter, pretty easy. There are also collectibles. Beating each chapter grants you a trophy. Beating each chapter on Guerrilla Difficulty also grants you a trophy and beating each chapter without dying or restarting grants you a trophy which you will have to do on the easiest difficulty unless you're Rambo. Step One: Complete the game on Guerrilla difficulty. Guerrilla difficulty is hard, in my opinion, compared to other games' hard difficulties because in a few areas there are infinitely spawning enemies and the A.I are dumb. Also, enemy A.I always aim at you and not your friends. But still, it's beatable, just take your time, move slowly, use covers a lot and you should be fine. Also in this step, I recommend trying to do all the chapter-related trophies and if you miss anything you still have a 2nd playthough to go and do the ones you missed. And lastly, it's your choice if you want to deal with the collectibles in this playthrough or the next one. I personally recommend collecting them on the 2nd playthough so you can get familiar with the areas on the first one. At the end of this step you should have unlocked all Guerrilla and Normal trophies + All or most of the chapter-related trophies. Step Two: Finish every chapter without dying. I highly recommend you do this on Easy difficulty to make it so much easier. Finishing a chapter without dying can be annoying if you're careless. Always use cover and stay away from grenades; even in Easy they could kill you. Also, if you have missed any chapter-related trophies you should get them in this playthrough. And lastly, it's time to deal with the collectibles. There are 61 collectibles in the game that you should collect on this playthrough. See the trophy guide below to find more information. At the end of this step you should have unlocked all Iron Man trophies + Completed all chapter-related trophies + dealt with the collectibles. NOTE This is how I played the Single Player and this is how I recommend you play it. If you think playing it on Easy first and then Hard is better, then do that. The Single Player trophies are very simple and you can do them in any order, but this is what steps I think are best. Online This is the long part of the Platinum. In Online there are 3 types of trophies: -Challenges -Party Leading -Threats in Battle Commander Challenges: What you need to do is get 200 kills with every weapon, drone and vehicle, and also 100 wins in each of the 3 modes. This could take more than 100 hours to do. There is no easy way to do it - all you have to do is play and play and play. See the trophy guide for more information. Party: It means inviting friends to get trophies. There are 3 trophies for this. Invite one friend and win a match, very easy. Invite 4 friends and enter a Public match. And last, having 16 players in the party and then entering a public match. Use the Trophy Boosting Thread to find players to help you. Threats in Battle Commander: This trophy can be hard for some players. What you need to do is enter a Battle Commander match and get a 15 kill streak as a soldier or a 20 kill streak in a vehicle. Like I said, it can be difficult for some players. See the trophy guide for more information. All online trophies must be done in Public Matches (Ranked) and cannot be done in Private Matches. The game won't start with only 2 players in the lobby, it has to be half-filled for the game to start. To boost the trophies you must have a group of people and not a few partners. BIG NOTE: Many players have reported that their stats got reset. It is highly advised to back up your save file from time to time. Edited September 2, 2017 by Terminator Replaced a missing banner. When an RPG guy arrives he will be marked as an objective so you'll know when they arrive, but they won't wait a second to fire so you must be fast. There are 2 checkpoints in this area. Enemies spawn from the left and right side. Go to the left side inside a warehouse-looking building and inside is where the enemy spawns on the left side. By entering this room you should stop them from spawning in it. Right after the first battle in the chapter, one of your friends will give you a Sniper Rifle. At this point the mission will turn into a stealth mission. You must follow your friend every step and if you make a mistake the mission will end and a checkpoint will be loaded and must play the chapter again. Later in the chapter you'll be on a church tower with your sniper. In here your friends will tell you which enemies you should kill. The enemy that you must kill will be marked as an objective called 'WAIT' - while the marker is on, wait, don't shot or you'll lose. After a few seconds the Wait objective will turn into a red marker that says 'Eliminate'. Here you must shoot. If you kill a guy with Wait on him, you will fail and a checkpoint will be loaded and then you must play the whole chapter again. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/639/34.jpg Stairway to Heaven From the front door of the church, make it to the crow’s nest in 240 seconds in Chapter 5: Heartland Impossible to miss! Later on in chapter 5 you'll run on a long empty road and at the end you'll find a church. An objective will appear saying 'Enter the Church'. Before you do that, kill the enemies outside. Now, as soon as you enter the church the counter will start and you have 240 sec (4min) to reach the tower of the church. The good thing about this is that 4min is a lot of time. Just take your time and kill everyone inside and you'll reach the goal without even breaking a sweat. NOTE: If you die the counter will reset so it's okay to die. But don't worry, 8 minutes is way too much. Just keep following the objectives, killing everyone in your way, and then you will need to fly next to the tankers in order to let your friends hijack them. All you need to do is fly low and match the tankers speed and when you're in the right position hold to let a friend hijack a tanker. Do that on each tanker. Remember that you must not die. See this thread for more info about what is this all about: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/homefront/149818-please-read-warning-platinum-possibly-unobtainable-game-crap-too-btw.html There is a workaround to fix this glitch which is available in this thread: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/homefront/156728-over-hill-workaround-rank-resetting.html http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/639/44.jpg Squad Commander Enter a public match as the Party Leader of a 4-Player Minimum Party in Multiplayer Unobtainable due to server shutdown. To unlock this trophy you must play a match with 3 other players in the party. The 3 people don't have to be in your friend list, but you must at least have one in your friend list to invite and he can invite the other 2. And remember that you have to be the Party Leader. To invite a player to your party, you must be first in the ONLINE Menu. Press to open the friend list. Press on the player you want to invite and then 'INVITE TO LOBBY' to invite him. For trophy you must have a party with 16 players in it. You don't have to be Party Leader for this trophy and you don't have to win either. Simply invite everyone you know into the party and let them invite everyone they know into the party (that's how I did it!). When 16 players are in the lobby, start the public match and the trophy will pop as soon as you spawn in the game. Use the Trophy Boosting Thread to find a group to help you. This trophy must be done in a Battle Commander public match. To become a threat you must have a killing streak. To reach a 3-Star threat you must: Soldier: 9 killing streak Vehicle: 11 killing streak Drone: ?? RQ-10 parrot: 25 marking streak There are 3 easy ways to get this trophy. Using a Tank or Apache or RQ-10 parrot. Other than that it is hard! M-Easy
Yeah I noticed a lot of grammatical errors in the guide but because I'm lazy and don't get paid for it I'll let the guide team sort them out for you. Its a good guide I just think its a really bad idea to suggest to play on guerrilla 1st. The game is bad enough as it is, throw in that difficulty and people will have trashed this game by chapter 3. But you put a note on it so whatever
Handz19
nice guide mate, btw you have 3 star rank twice, i think you mean 5 for the last one
duck360
Yeah I thought the same thing but if they play it on easy first they won't get Iron Man trophies they will die because even easy is a bit difficult. Playing guerrila as 2nd playthrough and easy again as 3rd playthrough =\ So That's why I think playing Guerrilla first is better. But only if you think that's the best choice for your self

Bryc10
"Remember reloading a checkpoint doesn't reset your kills. But reloading a checkpoint with prevent you from unlocking 'Iron Man - Why We Fight' and force you to play the whole chapter again to unlock it." I think 'with' should be will. Also you can get the mercy and let them burn trophy in the same playthrough, you just do the mercy one first then reload the checkpoint and do let them burn. I did this and got them both one after the other.

NemoNemo95
Thanks a lot for the guide. I just bought the game and will maybe go for the platinum. I read in your guide it does take a while when you play online, so when I play this game once in a while I will get there eventually

keshs001
The parrot drone thing is 45 spots for 5 star threat and 27 I think for 3 star threat.

AstroFlibble
Surely 5 star threat will be easily boostable. If you're in a party of 16 players that has been organised here and enter a BC Skirmish (max 16 players), then all they'd need to do is get the trophy one person after another. Jasman
Thanks for the guide, I'm working my way through a guerilla playthrough now. I just wish I didn't have to constantly stop to pick up annoying collectibles
mattybell2117
Man this guerilla mode is killing me on chapter 3. I think I might just not finish it. I mean I won't be able to finish all the challenges anyways so I can't get platinum. The requirements are BS and the servers are so bad that I wouldn't be surprised if I lose my rank and stats tomorrow.
NemoNemo95
I've tried the first level on easy ( I think, because I didn't get the guerilla ) and I died once, so it will be doable i think for getting the Iron man award. I even died at a pretty stupid way So this evening I will do level 1 on guerilla, and I'll see how difficult it will be.
saintdave
Very useful guide, will be using it alot when I give the campaign a proper playthrough. Just wanted to add for Over the Hill there is a perk/infantry ability called grizzled that gives the player extra xp in all they do online. With this on and the spotter drone (as mentioned) you can gain loads of points and level up quicker.
