1. English Campaign

 

Notes:

A = Archer

B = Bombard

G = General (Dismount unit)

I = Infantry (Peasant, Light, Heavy, or Unmounted Man At Arms)

K = Knight or Man at Arms (Dismount unit)

* = Empty Space (you can put any unit here if you want)

RP(#) = Repeatable mission until you pass certain chapter #

 

1. You need to upgrade all your unit to maximum as possible. You also must purchase Large Shield and strong weapons for every unit. These Battle Cards are highly recommended: Starvation, Prevailing Wind, Bad Omen, The Flux, Sudden Panic, Well Fed and Good Omen.

2. At least 8 Archer units must be at level 9+.

 

Chapter 1: Province: Flanders [Fight Battle of Cadsand - Nov 1337]

Gold: 200

Reward: Weapon (Estoc Sword)

Strategy: Disband all Infantry unit except Archer, then purchase 2 more Archer units. When the battle starts, you need to move the Archer units square by square slowly so they can eliminate the enemies.

 

Province: Picardy [Raid the border villages] RP(6)

Gold: 100

Reward: Battlecard (Rally)

Strategy: Make a defensive line with 3-4 Archer units.

 

Province: Reims - Champagne [Raid enemy town]

Gold: 50

Reward: Wagon Captured (100 Gold)

Strategy: Make a defensive line with 4-5 Archer units, then move forward square by square to eliminate all the enemies in the town. Let the general unit capture the Wagon, then kill the reinforcement.

 

Province: Ile de France [Raid the enemy heartland]

Gold: 200

Reward: Battlecard (Rabbit Warren)

Strategy: 8 Archer units can do a trick in this battle, however, if you still need to level up at least Infantry unit for the trophy then you can use 3 K and 5 A units.

 

Chapter 2: Province: Nantes - Brittany [Fight Battle of Morlaix - Sep 1342]

Gold: 200

Reward: Weapon (Goedendag), Class (Heavy Infantry)

Strategy: Formation, let the Archer units take care those English cavalries.

Strategy: Formation, after you defeat the 1st wave of the enemy, you need to regroup on the left flank. Then move forward to defeat the rest of the enemies at North side.

Chapter 3: Province: Gascony [Fight Battle of Auberoche - Oct 1345]

Gold: 250

Reward: Weapon (Hammer), Battlecard (Kill the Leader)

Strategy: Formation, If your Archer units' level is around 4-5 then you can finish this battle easily:

Province: Perigord [Escort Convoy]

Gold: 100

Reward: Battlecard (Inspirational Rhetoric)

Strategy: Formation, when the battle starts, immediately move one of your unit to block the way of 2nd Wagon (bottom one), then just wait for the enemies come to you. After you clear the first area, then form a line of Archer and move forward to defeat the enemies at second checkpoint. Make sure you let the General unit to fight against Heavy Shield enemy, you also should use at least 3 Archer units to fight that enemy by doing melee (press :cross: on the unit until you see the red sword icon). To win the battle quickly, you should defeat 2 enemy units on the top right corner of the map:

Strategy: Formation, you can purchase more Archers for this battle. There are 2 Large Shield enemy units, however, those Archer units can handle them:

Strategy: Formation, you should move 3 Archer units from 3rd row to back up the 2 units in the South. Let at least 1 K unit to capture the Wagon on the NW:

Tournament (this is random battle because I triggered it in the 1st playthrough, but in 2nd playthrough I didn't see it even I tried to check if there is new battle after I finish every battle)

Reward: Battlecard (Good Omen, Sudden Panic, Well Fed)

Strategy: This is one-on-one battle which your General unit will fight against one enemy unit.

 

Province: Gascony [French Town Revolts]

Gold: 200

Reward: Battlecard (Bad Omen)

Strategy: Formation, move all units to the main force. Move forward to the North slowly to defeat all the enemies including their leader:

Chapter 8: Province: Saintonge [Fight Battle of Saintes - Apr 1351]

Gold: 400

Reward: Weapon (Halberd, Bill)

Strategy: A defensive line of Archer units can eliminate all incoming enemies. Make sure you place 1 unit on V square because you will lose the battle if the enemy reach this square.

 

Province: Perigord [Night Attack]

Gold: 200

Reward: Battlecard (Bad Luck)

Strategy: Formation, move all units into a big group then focus on attacking on their Archer units. You also should use all battle cards to boost your units' stats:

Chapter 9: Province: Calais [Fight Battle of Ardres - Jun 1351]

Gold: 400

Reward: None

Strategy: Formation, when the battle starts, immediately move General (1st row) and K (3rd row) to the left square once so they will prevent the Wagon moving somewhere. Use all other units to eliminate the enemies:

Province: Perigord [Assassinate Nobleman]

Gold: 200

Reward: Battlecard (Aim for the Weakspot)

Strategy: It's a stealth mission, your goal is kill the enemy leader. Follow these steps (use battle cards if needed):

  1. Since you only have 2 units (including General unit); therefore, you should bring a strongest Archer you have.
  2. Move A unit to the right to kill the Spear Light Infantry.
  3. After the enemy flees, you need to move the A unit next to their Wagon (switch to melee mode by press :cross: until you see the red sword icon)
  4. When their Wagon is destroyed, immediately hide somewhere on the left side.
  5. Wait until the enemies pass your location then move up to kill the Archer unit who stands on the hill nearby their leader.
  6. Control A unit to kill the leader.

Chapter 10: Province: Brest - Brittany [Fight Battle of Mauron - Aug 1352]

Gold: 400

Reward: Weapon (Bardische Axe)

Strategy: Simple formation Front Row: K units, Back Row: Archers; make sure you don't let any enemy invade the V square. The enemy cavalries will attack from left side, so you should place some K units there to protect A units.

 

Province: Perigord [surrounded]

Chapter 11: Province: Poitiers - Poitou [Fight Battle of Poiters - Sep 1356]

Gold: 500

Reward: Weapon (Lance), Class (Knights in Mail and Plate)

Strategy: Formation, it's a hard battle because the enemy army has 6 Knight in Mail. To win this battle quickly you need to capture the French king, however, this guy won't move until most of his units are killed. You can send Mounted units to attack him. In case you want to defeat all enemies for XP then I recommend you equip Warhammer for all units:

Reward: Battlecard (Starvation)

Strategy: Formation, you should use battle cards to boost ally's strength:

Reward: Wagon Capture x2 (400 Gold)

Strategy: Formation, after you capture the 1st Wagon you need to regroup your army then move forward slowly to attack the enemies on the left flank. If you do it correctly, they won't attack you since your Archers have long ranged attack:

Province: Rouergue [Raid French Villages] RP (16)

Gold: 100

Reward: Battlecard (Target the Horse)

Strategy: You should use the army of 5 K (including General) and 7 A units. When the battle starts, regroup your unit then eliminate the enemies.

 

Chapter 12: Province: Brest - Brittany [Fight Battle of Auray - Sep 1364]

Gold: 500

Reward: Weapon (Great Sword)

Strategy: Formation, you should have 1 Mount K (or G) unit then move them to V square on the North of the map to panic the enemies.Move the K units to front row to protect A units after the 2nd wave of enemies comes:

Reward: Battlecard (The Flux)

Strategy: Formation, it's a tough battle. When the battle starts, you need to move all units to the South and wait for the enemies come to you. Keep moving to the South if you are surrounded by the enemies:

Chapter 13: Province: Poitiers - Poitou [Fight Battle of Lussac - Jan 1370]

Gold: 500

Reward: Shield (Cavalry Shield)

Strategy: Formation, move Archer units (bottom) to kill all 4 enemy units on the left flank (they won't attack you if you use Archer units only except 1 enemy Archer unit. Then move all units to the left hill and camp there. If you see their Cavalry units already move, then order 2 Archer units (top) to kill the enemies who guard the Wagon then destroy that Wagon as well to force their Cavalry units flee. To make thing easy, you should equip the Warhammer for all units:

Province: Orleans - Orleanais [Protect Artillery]

Gold: 300

Reward: Battlecard (Looting)

Strategy: Move all K units in front of the Artillery, and A units on the back row.

 

Chapter 14: Province: Saintonge [Fight Battle of Chiset - Mar 1373]

Gold: 500

Reward: Weapon (Pike), Missiles (Handgun)

Strategy: Formation, after you eliminate half of the enemy army, you should move all unit to North side to reach the V squares. You can sacrifice any unit to slow down the enemies, make sure you have at least 3 units reach V squares. Alternative way, you can use all mounted units in this battle. Stay on the right or left side to lure the enemies to one side, then speed run to the V squares from other side:

Province: Orleans - Orleanais [Rescue Hostages]

Gold: 300

Reward: Battlecard (Caltrops)

Strategy: Use Archer units only for this battle. Move them to the right side to eliminate all the enemies who are surrounding the Hostages. After they flee away, you need to contact one of Hostages so you will receive a new order by eliminating all the remaining enemies. Keep moving Archer units forward slowly to kill the enemies, they won't attack if you shoot them at long distance.

 

Chapter 15: Province: Artois [Fight Battle of Mercq - May 1405]

Gold: 500

Reward: Battlecard (Prevailing Wind)

Strategy: Formation, equip Handgun for all Archer units then wait for the enemies comes to you. After you eliminate all the enemies then move K and G units to destroy their cannons:

Gold: 300

Reward: Battlecard (Take Cover)

Strategy: Formation, move all units to the left side to reduce the number of casualty due to the enemy cannons shoot at your army. When you regroup your army from the left flank, you need to move forward slowly to kill all the enemies. Make sure all Archer units use Handgun:

Chapter 16: Province: Province: Artois [Fight Battle of Agincourt - Oct 1415]

Gold: 1000

Reward: None

Strategy: Formation, you should disband all K or Infantry units then purchase Archers only. Make sure you purchase Handgun for all Archer units. When set up a formation, you should place Level 1 Archer units on the back row. By using Archers with Handgun, you won't lose a single unit in this battle:

Strategy:

Strategy: It's an easy battle, just line up your Archer units to block the enemy's route and wait unit they come to you.

 

Chapter 3: Province: Troyes - Champagne [Mont Epiloy - Aug 1429]

Gold: 300

Reward: Weapon (Battle Axe), Class (Archers)

Strategy: Focus on eliminating the Archer then No Shield units, you will have enough 120 kills:

Province: Carentan - Normandy [Destroy Artillery]

Gold: 250

Reward: None

Strategy: It's hard battle since you will lose ~20% of your units to reach the enemy base. If you have full army (8 Archer and 8 Knight units) with Large Shield + high level then you can beat this mission. You can focus on attacking the left or right flank of the enemy base.

 

Province: Anjou [Encircled Wagon]

Gold: 250

Reward: Battlecard (Rainshower)

Strategy: Set up a circle formation, K units should have Large Shield

 

Chapter 4: Province: Argentan - Normandy [Celerment en Beauvoisis - Jan 1430]

Gold: 350

Reward: Weapon (Halberd, Bill), Class (Knights in Mail)

Strategy: You should use Archer units only for this battle. Since you can't control the default units; therefore, just let them draw enemy's attention then your Archer units will eliminate them.

 

Province: Maine [intercept English Raiders] RP(7)

Gold: 260

Reward: Battlecard (Starvation)

Strategy: Deploy all Archer units on the right flank to attack the incoming English army.

 

Province: Chartres - Orleanais [Raid Fugitives] RP(7)

Gold: 100

Reward: None

Strategy: A A G A A. Most of the enemies won't attack you except 2 Mounted units from the North side.

 

Province: Brest - Brittany [Raid French Territory] RP(7)

Gold: 250

Reward: Battlecard (Aim For the Weakspot)

Strategy: Form a line of Archer units then use one of the unit to lure the enemies to your area. With battlecard Rainshower, you can eliminate all unit easily. Make sure you have at least 3 K units to take care of Large Shield enemy.

 

Chapter 5: Province: Picardy [Guerbigny - Mar 1430]

Gold: 350

Reward: Weapon (Bardische Axe), Class (Knights in Mail and Plate)

Strategy: Formation, make sure you use battlecard Rainshower and Starvation at beginning of the battle:

Strategy: Formation, move all Archer units to the back row of K units. To win this battle, you need to kill all enemies or the Wagon retreats out of battlefield. You also make sure all K units have Large Shield so enemy Archer units can't attack them:

Gold: 200

Reward: Battlecard (Sudden Panic)

Strategy: In order to win this battle, you need to regroup your army by move all units to 1 side of the map then start to attack from that location.

 

Chapter 6: Province: Ile de France [soissons - May 1430]

Gold: 350

Reward: Weapon (Lance), Missiles (Steel Arbalest), Shield (Cavalry Shield), Class (Armoured Archers)

Strategy: Formation, you need to use Rainshower and Starvation battlecards at beginning of the battle. After you receive a new order to retreat 6 squads while Joan of Arc hold off the English army. Immediately, move at least 6 units to the V squares at South side of the map:

Strategy: You must use Mounted K units for this mission since they can reach the Wagon quickly. Assume you have 8 Archer and 8 Mounted K units, you should move all K units to reach the Wagon, then form a line of Archer to block the enemy army.

Gold: 200

Reward: Battlecard (Prevailing Wind)

Strategy: Formation, It's easy battle if you have all Armoured Archer units with Steel Arbalest. Then use these battlecards: Rainshower and Starvation, you can just sit back and enjoy the show:

Gold: 350

Reward: Weapon (Great Sword), Class (Knights in Full Plate)

Strategy: Set up a formation of Armoured Archer units with Steel Arbalest, then use these battlecards: Rainshower, Starvation, and Prevailing Wind.

 

Province: Picardy [Protect Peasants] RP(10)

Gold: 100

Reward: Battlecard (Receive the Charge)

Strategy: Use Armoured Archer units only then move them forward to eliminate all enemies to protect the Peasants and Wagon.

 

Province: Cambrai [Disrupt Evacuation] RP(10)

Gold: 200

Reward: None

Strategy: Use Armoured Archer units only the move them into a defensive line.

 

Province: Reims - Champagne [Raid Enemy Mainland] RP(10)

Gold: 350

Reward: Battlecard (Well Fed)

Strategy: Same

 

Chapter 8: Province: Carentan - Normandy [Formigny - Apr 1450]

Gold: 400

Reward: Weapon (Pike), Missiles (Handgun)

Strategy: A defensive line of 8 Archer units with Rainshower, Starvation, and Prevailing Wind battlecards.

 

Province: Troyes - Champagne [Defend Camp]

Gold: 250

Reward: Battlecard (Plague)

Strategy: Move 2-3 Archer Units to protect the Cannon and Wagon (you don't need to protect the Wagon on the left flank). After you eliminate some enemies, move those units to protect other Cannon or Wagon, repeat until no enemy left.

 

Province: Orleans - Orleanais [Kamikaze]

Gold: 250

Reward: Battlecard (Drunk)

Strategy: Move the Wagon to the back row then let the Archer units take care everything.

 

Chapter 9: Province: Gascony [blanquefort - Nov 1450]

Gold: 400

Reward: Missiles (Hand Culverin)

Strategy: You only have 4 units while the enemy has bunch of units in this battle, but don't worry because it's super easy battle. With the battlecards: Starvation, Prevailing Wind, and Well Fed, all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the show.

 

Province: Rouen - Normandy [Rescue Convoy]

Gold: 250

Reward: None

Strategy: After your army eliminates the 1st wave of enemy. Immediately, move all of them to surround the wagon to prevent it move to the North. Just wait here until the enemies come to you:

Chapter 10: Province: Perigord [Castillon - Jul 1453]

Gold: 500

Strategy: Disband all K units then purchase 7 Archer units. You need to equip them all with Hand Culverin and make a formation of a defensive line then wait for the enemy comes to you. I didn't lose a single unit except few men of default unit which locate at middle of the map.

Peasant Archer (200)

  • Archer (100) - (+1 Ranged Defence, +2 Melee Armour, +3 Ranged Armour)
  • Armoured Archer (300) - (+2 Ranged Defence, +4 Melee Armour, +7 Ranged Armour) * French only

Mounted Man At Arms (350 - French campaign / 400 - English campaign)

4. Battle Cards

 

  • Aim For the Weakspot: A voice calls out from the ranks identifying a weak spot in the opponent's armour. The unit receives an attack bonus.
  • Bad Luck: A terrible chance occurs, causing a morale crisis.
  • Bad Omen: The target unit's morale is lowered from the start of the battle.
  • Battle Cry: A rousing shout increases morale and attack strength for a short time.
  • Caltrops: Hidden spikes, strewn on the ground, cause casualties to units moving over them.
  • Drunk: The unit is fighting drunk. While it has an increased attack, its aggressiveness makes it almost uncontrollable and prone to unwise attacks.
  • Good Fortune: A happy chance raises morale.
  • Good Omen: The armies morale is lifted at the start of the battle.
  • Inspirational Rhetoric: A nit morale is lifted by an inspiring speech.
  • Kill The Leader: The unit will actively seek out the next enemy unit's leader it meets in combat in an attempt to cause a leadership crisis.
  • Looting: The spoils of the surrounding area prove too much for the enemy. A unit is removed from the enemy line.
  • Plague: The plague has swept through the enemy camp. A number of men are removed from each enemy unit.
  • Prevailing Wind: The wind aids the player by increasing the range of their arrows.
  • Rabbit Warren: A hidden obstacle, only revealed at the last moment. This counts as difficult ground and can disrupt cavalry charges.
  • Rainshower: The rain lowers bow range and reduces the fire rate of firearms.
  • Rally: A routing unit can be returned to the line.
  • Receive The Charge: By careful timing, the impact of a charge is reduced.
  • Stand Fast: Increases defensive abilities.
  • Starvation: The enemies supplies have run out and their troops are weakened by lack of food.
  • Sudden Panic: A moment of confusion can easily turn even the staunchest troops into a rabble.
  • Take Cover: This increases the unit's resistance to incoming projectile fire.
  • Target the Horses: An experienced hand knows that the cavalry's weakest spot is their mounts. Attack bonus against cavalry.
  • Taunt: An enemy can be drawn into an unwise advance by catcalls and taunts.
  • The Flux: Dysentery runs through the enemy army. The enemy unit's attacks are weakened.
  • Well Fed: A unit's morale and strength are increased after being well supplied.
