Introduction:

This game is a block breaker that features various girls (and one man) decked out in Hello Kitty gear and is much like Arkanoid. The game has 26 sets of 5 levels each with a boss at the end of each set. After completing the levels you also have to complete the levels quickly for S and A ranks, some of which can be frustrating, but Level Select somewhat tones down the frustration of the game. There are also various trophies for clearing levels with certain powerups active and reading the descriptions for every block and power up. None of the trophies should take too much effort to get, making this an easy platinum.

Walkthrough:

1. Completing levels:

During this step, you must play through the levels and make it to the end of Challenge mode for all of the story-related trophies. During this playthrough, try to get as many S and A ranks as you can, but don’t go too out of your way to do so as you’ll eventually be going for the ranks anyway.

2. Getting S and A ranks:

During this step, you will be going for any S and A ranks that you have missed. I’d recommend going for all A ranks first because while going for all A ranks, you’ll likely get a few more S ranks at the same time. When going for 100 S ranks, try to focus on getting them from boss battles and Challenge levels since you have to get an S rank in all boss battles and 10 Challenge levels for two gold trophies.

3. Cleanup:

During this step you will be going for any miscellaneous trophies that you haven't gotten from playing the game normally. See the trophy guide for specific details on those trophies.

[Received more than 100 S rank]

I’d recommend going for this trophy last because as you are going for other trophies (such as や、やりおる……です ! [Or, do you... It is!]) you’ll inevitably get a few more S ranks, which will cut down on the amount of levels that you need to S rank while going specifically for this trophy. See や、やりおる……です ! [Or, do you... It is!] for details on getting fast times for S and A ranks on non-boss levels and ボスがコテンパンです![The boss is down!] for tips on getting S ranks on boss levels.

全ステージAランク以上でクリア

[Or, do you... It is!]

[A rank above all stage clear]

For this trophy you'll need to get an A rank or higher on all levels (including Challenge levels). This is likely going to be the hardest trophy in the game for most but with enough practice on all of the levels, you'll eventually get it.

Tips for non-boss levels:

1. At the start of each turn, you are able to aim your ball. You can use this to your advantage to try to clear a lot of blocks in one shot. For example, if there is a column of blocks near a wall, you can aim the ball in such a way that it will bounce between the blocks and the wall to clear most if not all of the column. Depending on the stage, you can even use this trick to go above the blocks and clear entire rows of them in one shot. Yet another way to take advantage of this is by dying on purpose to aim at a hard to reach block instead of trying to reach it normally. It should be noted that dying adds about 3 seconds to your time, so only do this if you know you can't get the block quickly through normally hitting the ball.

2. If possible, try to grab powerups that speed up the ball (They are dark coloured and have a bent arrow next to a ball on them. They turn your ball dark blue). Though this seems counter-productive at first, the speed up can shave seconds off of your time if you can keep up with it. Other ways to speed up your ball are hitting blocks that have blue arrows on them and hitting bumpers that have a bold red V on them.

3. If a levels has blocks that you can move by tilting the Vita (these are the shiny light blue and gray X blocks), you can use them to your advantage. In the case of the blue blocks, you can move them towards the ball to clear most of them in one shot. In the case of the shiny gray X blocks, you can use them as makeshift paddles to keep the ball in one spot. This is only truly useful if you can get the ball near a group of blocks or if you can shoot it at a wide angle. If this is not possible at the time, do not bother with this trick because if the ball is going slowly in either direction (left or right), it will take a while for the ball to reach a block, giving you less time to clear other blocks.

4. In a level with teleporting X blocks (they are yellow), try to use the timing of the blocks to your advantage to keep the ball near other blocks. If this is not possible or the blocks can’t be easily used to keep the ball in play (usually, this will happen with circular blocks), try to avoid the teleporting blocks.

5. In levels with blue and red whirls, try to use them to your advantage if possible. Remember blue whirls will make the ball orbit around them and red whirls will send the ball away from them. These levels can be frustrating because of how the blue whirls will sometimes make the ball orbit around them several times and send them in a random direction; usually away from blocks (the second Challenge boss is especially guilty of this).

6. In the Paperman stages (the stages where some of the blocks look like faces), focus on making all of the faces the same. Each time you hit one of the faces or detonate a grenade block around one, the face will change. The faces change in this order: Girl-Cat-Boy.

7. In the golf stages, focus on making a clear path to the hole by clearing blocks around it. Once you find a clear path to the hole, intentionally let the ball miss your paddle so that you can aim the ball directly towards the hole or just hit the paddle towards the hole if you're able to.

8. Practice, practice, practice. Some of these stages are going to take many attempts to get a good rank on (the final Challenge boss took me 154 tries to S Rank), so you’ll need the patience to play some of these levels over and over again until you get down what you need to do and how to accomplish it quickly.

ボスステージで全てSランククリア

[The boss is down!]

[s rank in all cleared Boss Stages]

For this trophy, get an S rank on every boss battle. This will likely be a hard trophy for most people as a few of the bosses can be a real pain to beat. Below are some tips for each individual boss.

E-1-5: There's not much to say about this boss since it goes down in ten hits and has a completely blank stage. The boss moves by making small swerves in one direction and then making small swerves in the other direction. At the start of the stage, move the paddle all the way to the left and aim the ball towards the top half of the right wall. By doing this, you can hopefully land 3-4 hits on him, making a fast time easier to pull off. This boss will be referred to as the turtle boss. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:25:00

E-2-5: This boss has the same strategy as the last one, which should score 3 hits on the boss. This one move from side to side at a constant rate while moving slightly up and down. This boss will be referred to as the bat boss. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:40:00

E-3-5: This turtle boss has a wall of bricks. A good strategy is to make a hole in the wall from which you can enter. After making the hole, let the ball go out of the playing field so you can aim for the hole. Once you do this, assuming the ball doesn’t return through the hole, the boss should get hit enough times to bring him down. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:25:00

E-4-5: This boss moves by making hop-like motions across the field. A good strategy is to keep the paddle where it is and aim the ball at a 45˚ angle to the right, which should get you 3-4 hits on your first shot. This boss will be referred to as the octopus boss. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:30:00

E-5-5: This bat boss has a line of movable blocks with a shiny gray X block in the middle. A good strategy for this boss is to use the X block to keep the ball in the area of the boss. Depending on whether you keep the ball in the area of the boss, you can deal a lot of damage in one shot. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:30:00

N-1-5: This boss moves about halfway to one side slowly before darting in the other direction and moving in an elliptical motion until it gets hit, at which point it start darting from side to side. A good strategy for this boss is to move the paddle slightly to the right and aim the ball at the bottom of the right wall. If done right, this should get 2-3 hits. This boss will be referred to as the bee boss. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:40:00

N-2-5: This bat boss has two pairs of gray X blocks on the lower edges of each wall and two pairs above those that are somewhat closer to the center. For this boss, try to avoid hitting the X blocks from the bottom as this will likely cause the ball to bounce around for a bit in the blocks and go downward. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:35:00

N-3-5: This turtle boss has fast blocks on the top of the stage. Rather than try to get hits from the first shot, try to rebound off of the fast blocks to make your ball go faster. The blocks are positioned in a way that you can get several hits from one shot because the ball will rebound quickly from the fast blocks. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:35:00

N-4-5: This boss moves up and down while slowly moving left and right in a wavy motion. Unlike every other boss type, the ghost boss will turn invisible if you’ve gone long enough without hitting it. A good way to deal a lot of damage to this boss at the beginning is to move halfway to the left and aim halfway between a straight shot and a 45˚ angle to the right. If done right, you can land about 3-5 hits in one shot. This boss will be referred to as the ghost boss. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:40:00

N-5-5: This turtle boss has 7 gray X blocks rotated vertically and arranged in a row with spaces that stretches wall to wall. Try to get into the spaces at wide angles so you can rebound off of the X blocks and likely into the boss. This boss will likely take several tries to get an S rank on. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:55:00

N-6-5: This bee boss has 7 columns of star blocks arranged in a similar fashion to the X blocks in N-5-5. If you can, try to use the star blocks to rebound the ball into the boss several times for massive damage, though it’s likely that you'll need to clear a few blocks before you do this because the spaces in between the columns are too small to effectively do this from the start. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:50:00

N-7-5: This octopus boss has several shiny blue blocks arranged in a chequered pattern on the field which are separated by a diagonal line of regular blue blocks. For this boss, try to coax the ball into the boss using the shiny blocks. This will work better if there are more blocks on the field. An especially easy method to S Rank the boss is to tilt all of the blocks to the right and then shoot the ball on the left side of the field where there should be a block-sized gap for the ball to enter. Once the ball crosses the gap, move the blocks to the left to keep the ball in that area. The boss should take several hits if you use this method, and even if the ball falls out of the boss area to where you have to hit it, it's easy to get the ball back in the boss area to land the rest of the hits. Using this method, I managed to beat the boss with a time of 0:17:06 even with the ball exiting the boss area once. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:30:00

N-8-5: This bat boss is protected by a group of teleporting X blocks quickly moving in a figure eight pattern. Try to use the teleporting X blocks to your advantage and try to time your shots so that the ball goes above the teleporting blocks. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:45:00

H-1-5: This bee boss has a catch i.e there are two of them that must be defeated to complete the level. Also, it is the first boss to shoot bullets at you that you must dodge with your paddle, which is something that all bosses after this one will do. Try to make shots that will rebound off of one boss and into the other to make the battle go quicker. Estimated S Rank Time: 1:00:00

H-2-5: This turtle boss has a row of star blocks protecting it. Try to break one of them and let the ball go out of the playing field so you can aim the ball at the hole so it can enter it from an angle and deal a lot of damage to the boss. Estimated S Rank Time: 1:15:00

H-3-5: This ghost boss has two rows of pink chests above the boss but covering a row of V bumpers. One of the powerups is the multi-ball powerup, so try to grab that whenever you can. Also, try to pick up the speed up powerups so that the ball(s) will go faster. If you can maintain these two powerup types while avoiding the narrow and slow paddle powerups, you can get this S rank easily. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:30:00

H-4-5: This bee boss has three heavily spaced-out rows of round gray X blocks in the area hat it flies in. Though it will be somewhat harder than having regular blocks, try to use the gray X blocks to rebound the ball into the boss. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:30:00

H-5-5: This ghost boss is like H-1-5 in that there are two bosses to defeat, but because of the way that the ghost bosses move, it is a lot easier to kill them both quickly. Estimated S Rank Time: 1:15:00

H-6-5: This octopus boss has three rows of round blocks in the area of the boss which are below a row of round V bumpers. Because of how the blocks are organized, they don’t work to your advantage, but this stage also unleashes the octopus boss’s new ability, which is speeding up the ball each time it gets hit. Estimated S Rank Time: 1:00:00

H-7-5: This bat boss has round V bumpers bordering the walls and ceiling of the stage. Try to use these to make your ball go faster and to rebound the ball into the boss. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:45:00

H-8-5: This octopus boss is set in the dark and when the boss is hit, the ball will speed up. Try to avoid the bullets and pay attention to the path of the ball as each time it hits something, the area around it lights up. If needed, you can use the back touch pad to light up areas of the stages. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:45:00

C-1-5: This bee boss is like H-1-5, but with three bees instead of two. The strategy from this boss also applies to this one. Also, the bees will sometimes be spread out in such a way that you can get several hits in one shot. Estimated S Rank Time: 1:20:00

C-2-5: This bat boss has blue whirls in the top-left and bottom-right corners of the screen and red whirls in the top-right and bottom-left corners of the screen. If you get lucky, the blue whirl in the top-left corner can coax the ball into damaging the boss several times, but it’s much more likely that the whirls will cause your ball to miss the boss rather than hit the boss. For this reason, it is easily the second hardest boss to get an S rank on (second only to the final Challenge boss) and could easily take you dozens of attempts to get an S rank on. For example, it took me 78 attempts to get an S rank on this level. Estimated S Rank Time: 1:00:00

C-3-5: This octopus boss has a row of pink chests above it which is in turn below a row of alternating turret and star blocks as well as star blocks that are placed below the turret blocks. The boss also speeds up your ball every time you hit it. The only powerups on this stage are for growing or shrinking your paddle, so neither of them will make the boss any faster. Estimated S Rank Time: 0:45:00

C-4-5: This bee boss has two rows of oval blocks which have fast blocks in them above the boss in a dark stage. Try to hit the fast blocks to speed up the ball and make things go faster. If possible, try to use the blocks to hit the boss multiple times. Estimated S Rank Time: 1:15:00

C-5-5: Where to even start with this one? This turtle boss is protected by a chequered grid of star blocks that in turn is also protecting some dynamite blocks and some turret blocks. There are also three dynamite blocks near the bottom of the grid, 2 of which can be detonated if you aim the ball right. Also, the bullets have a tendency to group together in such a way that you’d need superhuman reflexes to make it past them and get to the ball. To start, try to detonate one of the dynamite blocks on either side of the stage as this will provide you with a space to damage the boss in. Try to keep the ball within that area so that when the boss comes over to it, you can land several hits on him by hitting the ball so that it doesn't stray too far towards the middle, which will allow the boss to get away.

This is by far the hardest boss in the game and is a pain to even beat, let alone get an S rank on. For reference, I had to retry 154 times before I finally got the S rank on this level along with this trophy. Estimated S Rank Time: 1:30:00

Thanks to vampko from the NISA forums and Akari for the solution.

This trophy is for making 15 bullets disappear and then clearing the stage. To make the bullets disappear, just have your ball fly into them and they'll disappear automatically without affecting the course of the ball. Any level with several turrets or any boss level from H-1-5 on is good for this trophy, though my personal recommendations are C-1-5 (three bosses means triple the bullets) and C-5-5 (level design makes it very tedious to destroy the turrets and for that matter, the boss).

[Clear with Penetration state]

For this trophy, you must have the Penetration powerup active at the end of a level. [Clear a stage only taking at least 3 bad items]

For this trophy, take at least three bad powerups (The dark colored ones) in one stage and clear it. An easy stage to get this in is N-8-3 because there are 3-4 speed up powerups for you to grab.

[it is a testament to have withstood the protracted!]

[Play a stage for more than 3 minutes]

For this trophy, stay in a stage for three minutes and go on to clear it. Simply pick a stage with shiny gray X blocks and try to keep the ball from hitting all of the blocks until you’ve been in the stage for three minutes. You must also clear the stage for the trophy to pop, so try to stay alive as well. If you can’t do this method, then a few of the Challenge stages are complex enough that on your first try, you may end up exceeding three minutes without trying.

お邪魔ブロックに50回当てた

[i won't lose heart is important!]

[interrupt block focused 50 times]

For this trophy you have hit the same block 50 times in one stage. These hits do not have to be consecutive. You can get this in any stage with a gray X block, preferably a level with a shiny X block so you can move the block towards the ball.

Thanks to MegaHentai for the following tip:

Great place for this one is C-3-2. Just trap the ball in the center area by sliding the grey blocks into place around it and let it bounce around. It will slip out eventually but you should be able to snag this well before losing all three balls.

Simply play the game for 5 hours to get this trophy. Unless you are very good at this type of game, you will get this while going for other trophies.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1593/7FD.jpg 短いのは嫌いじゃないです! (B)

バーが短い状態でクリア

[short hates isn't it!]

[Clear with short bar]

For this trophy, clear any stage with a shortened bar. This is one of the powerups you can get in H-5-3, so I recommend going for this trophy in that stage since it only has powerup chests. Try to get the powerup near the end of the stage as powerups only last for a limited time in this game.

バーが遅い状態でクリア

[slow is not bad!]

[Clear with slow bar]

For this trophy, clear any stage with a slow bar. This is one of the powerups you can get in H-5-3, so I recommend going for this trophy in that stage since it only has powerup chests. Try to get the powerup near the end of the stage as powerups only last for a limited time in this game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1593/7FD.jpg ボクは長いほうが好きです! (B)

バーが長い状態でクリア

[i like the longer I was!]

[Clear with long bar]

For this trophy, complete any stage with a long bar. This is one of the powerups you can get in H-5-3, so I'd recommend going for this trophy in that stage since it only has powerup chests. Try to get the powerup near the end of the stage as powerups only last for a limited time in this game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1593/7FD.jpg 速いのは嫌いじゃないです! (B)

バーが速い状態でクリア

[it's quick and you hate!]

[Clear with quick bar]

For this trophy, complete any stage with a fast bar. This is one of the powerups you can get in H-5-3, so I'd recommend going for this trophy in that stage since it only has powerup chests. Try to get the powerup near the end of the stage as powerups only last for a limited time in this game.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1593/7FD.jpg 下手な鉄砲も・・・なんです! (B)

ボールが2つ以上の状態でクリア

[A bad gun is what...!]

[Clear with two or more balls]

For this trophy, clear any stage with 2 or more balls in play at once. In any stage with an multi-ball powerup, you have to keep both balls in play, which is somewhat difficult because you have to focus on two balls at once. If you can keep both balls relatively close to each other, you shouldn’t have any problem with this trophy. A good stage for this is N-8-1 because it has two of these powerups as well as two Penetration powerups, so keeping two or more balls in play for the entire stage should be easy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1593/7FD.jpg 反射神経いいですね!です! (B)

ボールが速い状態でクリア

[Nice reflexes! It is!]

[Clear with fast state]

For this trophy, clear any stage with the ball at full speed. You can do this by collecting speed up powerups, hitting blocks that have blue arrows and hitting V bumpers.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1593/7FD.jpg 慎重派なんですね!です! (B)

ボールが遅い状態でクリア

[i'm careful sect! It is!]

[Clear in slow state]

For this trophy, clear any level with the ball at its minimum speed. This is easiest on E-2-3 as the level isn’t too complex, so as long as you get the powerup near the end of the level, you should have enough time to clear the rest of the bricks before the powerup times out. The slowdown powerup is on the far right in this stage and has a curved, orange arrow below a ball.

[it is a genius!]

[in the challenge area S rank won 10 or more]

For this trophy, get 10 S ranks in the Challenge levels. See や、やりおる……です![Or, do you... It is!] for tips on non-boss levels and ボスがコテンパンです![The boss is down!] for tips on the boss levels.

ミスを500回以上する

PlayStation®Vita本体を一度も傾けないでステージクリア

[is my heart unmoved!]

[Clear the stage in an upright position once the body PlayStation ® Vita]

For this trophy, you have to clear a level without moving the Vita at all from start to finish. To do this, I'd recommend playing the game while setting the Vita on a table so that you don't accidentally move the system while holding the Vita up. Credit to Aeliana for clearing up the requirement for the trophy.

1ゲーム中、10回以上シャルロッテ、かのんにタッチする

[is a touch too much. Gone!]

[To touch more than 10 times in one game, Charlotte, Kanon]

For this trophy, touch the girls on either side of the screen 10 times using the touch screen. Assuming you know about it, this will likely be the first trophy you get.

[Dark I don't like!]

[Clear a dark stage]

For this trophy, clear a dark stage while lighting the playing field. You can light the playing field by holding the rear touch pad where you want to light up. The first dark stage is H-1-4. Thanks to Aeliana for clearing things up for the trophy description.

お邪魔ブロックに50回当てた

[i won't lose heart is important!]

[interrupt block focused 50 times]

For this trophy, hit the same block 50 times in one stage. These hits do not have to be consecutive. You can get this in any stage with a gray X block, preferably a level with a shiny X block so you can move the block towards the ball.

Great place for this one is C-3-2. Just trap the ball in the center area by sliding the grey blocks into place around it and let it bounce around. It will slip out eventually, but you should be able to snag this well before losing all three balls.

Hi, I'm having trouble with the trophy "暗いのは嫌いです!" or clear a dark stage. I beat Hard 1-4 but the trophy didn't pop up. I tried to beat it without losing any life and using the rear touchpad. Any ideas what I should do to achieve this trophy? Thanks.

The description in the guide isn't 100% precise:

"For this trophy, clear any stage where the playing field is darkened. The first stage that is darkened is H-1-4. If needed, you can use the rear touch pad to light up areas of the stage."

Simply beating a dark level isn't enough; you actually MUST light up the stage, and you must finish the level while the stage is still illuminated via the rear touch pad.

Don't know if you still needed help w/ this since it was from a month and a half ago, but if you do, that should solve your problem.

攻撃が効かないだと!?です!(S)

I got this on C-1-5 while playing the 3 yellow jacket boss stage. You need to lose the ball after 15 crashes on a boss stage.

Could you please specify what "crashes" are? I've never heard of the term before.

I have a little correction to ad:-)

the silver trophy where you write to hit a boss 15 times:

I got this trophy not in a boss level but in the level where many turret blocks are. I can not remember now, and I have not the vita in hand now. but it is the level where the turret blocks are on one line.

I played this level and destroyed many of them and missed the ball. a second later I got the trophy.

I would change the description a bit, because It does not to be a boss level as I can prove.

I am writing with a friend a German trophy guide and we both share the same opinion:)

Well, I know it doesn't have to be with turrets because I got the trophy in a level with no turrets, though that might explain the mention of turrets in the description. Nice find! :)

Hi there.

Now i am sure about the Trophy with the turrets.

The Level is: HARD 5-4

in this Level are less then 15 turrets but i got this trophy here, even if there are a few turrets left, when i lost the ball. The Reason:

We need to survive the turret attacks.

The descipion is, to hit the Ball 15 times in a turret level an then die. I survived long enough and then I "MISSED" the ball i do not get hit by the turrets.

I can not prove this opinion, because I got this trophy already but it would explain, why i got this trophy in this stage.

I am pretty the requirement for 攻撃が効かないだと!?です! is to destroy 15 bullets with your ball and beat the stage. I got it in Hard 5-4 as well.

I had far, far more trouble with C1-5's boss than 5-5... Easily 250 tries.

1. I honestly don't even know anymore what with all of the different theories as to what the trophy is and the complete uselessness of Google Translate for this. The only way we'll know for sure is if this somehow gets a localization, and that's rather unlikely.

2. Really? That's kinda surprising. I remember getting much more frustrated with C-2-5 and C-5-5. C-1-5 probably took a while for me, too (can't be bothered to check atm), but it never frustrated me much.
