Introduction:

The trophies of this game are really challenging. You need to be the best of the best Guitar Hero players to get the platinum. 5 playthroughs are required for platinum. All instrument careers and a band career. Amazing Rockstar is glitched but in a good way. You only have to complete the last song in the career to get the trophy. Most of the trophies you can do with any difficulty setting but some require you to be on Hard, Expert or Expert+. Cheats disable trophies but you can use extra cheats such as Hyperspeed to make it easier to see the notes.

Walkthrough:

Step 1: Complete Tutorials and Create Custom Items

  • First you should learn how to play the game by completing the Tutorials.
  • Do each instrument Tutorial individually. Make sure you have Guitar Hero drums or you can't do the drum tutorials. Then just watch through the Band tutorial.
  • After the tutorials, create your own rocker with a custom guitar and a tattoo. Then make your own band with a custom logo and you're ready to start a career.

Step 2: Complete Career Mode

  • Now you should complete Career Mode with every instrument. You can do it with any difficulty setting that suits you best.
  • This part is time consuming remember that playing improves your skills.

Step 3: Complete Band Career

  • Here you should either get a friend with you or do this alone by playing vocals and an instrument at the same time.
  • If you already have played more than 150 songs in your career, you can skip the rest of the songs once you have enough stars to play the final song and complete the career.

Step 4: Get Band and Online Trophies

  • Now you should get all the Band related trophies locally with your friend or online with a boosting partner.
  • After it you should aim to get the Online only trophies and download a song from GHTunes.

Step 5: Complete Career on Expert

  • You can skip this part if you already completed the career on Expert.
  • Here you should complete Through the Fire and Flames on Expert with each instrument.
  • If you can't do it with some of the instruments, do all the instruments you can do it with to get them out of the way and come back to the hardest instruments later during the clean-up.

Step 6: Get miscellaneous Quickplay trophies

  • Here you should get all the offline trophies you didn't get in career such as recovering from a poor performance.
  • After the easy trophies you should go for the hard ones that require you to grind for very high scores and good performances. If you can't get some of the trophies leave them and get all the trophies you can with your current skills.

Step 7: Clean-up

  • You can skip this part if you were skilled enough to get all the hard trophies earlier.
  • Here you should get all the trophies you have missed and practice for the hardest trophies you couldn't get earlier.
  • You're going to spend a lot of time in Practice mode during this part.
  • Once this part is done you should have your platinum.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/158/38.jpg Amazing Rockstar (G)

Complete single player Expert Career on all instruments.

This trophy is glitched but in a good way. You don't have to complete the entire career on Expert. Just the last song 'Through the Fire and Flames'.

The easiest of the four instruments on this song are Vocals. If you know the song, you should do fine. Save star power if you are having trouble on some sections of the song.

The next easiest is Bass. The song is pretty simple to play on Bass. It's just rapid strumming with some bass fills. If you are having trouble, save some star power and learn the strumming rhythm in Practice mode.

The two hardest instruments are Guitar and Drums. These are the instruments that might cause you not to get the trophy.

For Drums you do NOT have to complete the song on Expert+. Play the song on Medium first to get the feeling to the rhythm and drum fills. Then move on to Hard. This difficulty is almost same as Expert but with one big difference. There are less hi-hat notes during the fast sections. Make good use of Practice mode and learn when to use star power to get past the hardest sections.

When you think you've mastered it on Hard, you can move on to Expert. First thing you notice is that the hi-hats are very fast and hard to play. I usually play them a bit slower in a free rhythm so my hand won't get tired and I can still keep the Rock Meter in green. Make sure to practice the hardest parts and the parts where you can get star power. Plan where to use it well and you will complete the song after a lot of hard work and effort.

For Guitar, this is most likely the hardest song ever in Guitar Hero. Do the same thing you did for drums. Start with a lower difficulty setting and move up when you master that difficulty. Make sure to use star power well and Practice. For the intro, you can do it by holding the green fret with your right hand's index finger and tapping the rest of the buttons with your left hand (vice versa if you are using lefty flip). This way you're playing it like you would on Hard. For the fastest tapping sections use two hands to randomly play the notes you are seeing. Use star power on the hardest parts only.

With enough practice you should master the song on Expert.

Complete a song with all Band members on Expert (4 player Band).

For this trophy you have to complete a song with a 4 player band and each instrument on Expert. You need to have a guitarist, a bassist, a drummer and a vocalist. You can do this locally or in online quickplay.

You can do this with 3 players. Pick a song that has only spoken sections for vocals such as 'Killing in the Name' and place the mic next to something that makes enough sound for it to pick it up such as a fan.

You can also complete an easy song with four players if some of the players are having trouble completing the song. Easy songs are for example 'I Love Rock 'n Roll' and 'Heart Shaped Box'.

You can do this locally or in online quickplay.

Start an easy song (for example 'I Love Rock 'n Roll') and make sure everyone is on Beginner. To get Star Power you have to hit every star shaped note in a sequence. On vocals, you'll get Star Power by getting Excellent phrase ratings.

Once everyone has Star Power available activate it at the same time. With guitar and bass tilt your guitar upwards or press the :select: button on the guitar. For drums hit both yellow and orange cymbal at the same time. For Mic, tap the head of the mic with your hand or press :cross: on the controller.

You can also get this by yourself if you have all the instruments. Connect all the instruments and set the mic to be the band leader. Set the difficulty of the mic to Expert and all other instruments to Beginner. Select a song with only talking sections (Killing in the Name, Laid to Rest or Raining Blood), put the mic next to your speaker and then leave the song playing. You should get the trophy after the song finishes. (Thanks to Geir585858 for the tip)

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/158/24.jpg War Apparatus (B)

Complete a song on Expert + (Drums only).

For this trophy you have to complete a song on Expert+ with drums. Expert+ means the song has fast kick notes requiring you to use two kick pedals to hit them so fast.

You do NOT have to have two kick pedals to get this trophy. You can do it with one. Make sure the song has a skull with bones next to it so you know it has an Expert+ track. The easiest way to get this is to complete the song 'Shout at the Devil' on Expert+. It only has double bass sections at the end of the song and they are pretty slow. If you have a fast foot, you can hit them all with one pedal. If not, you can play it like you would on Expert, hitting every other kick note and you should be able to complete the song without failing. If you are having trouble, save star power and activate it when the double bass section comes.

If you are a skilled drummer, you can also try Bark at the Moon. It is much harder to play compared to Shout at the Devil but it has almost no double bass sections, mostly just occasional triple kicks, making it easy to pass with only one pedal. (Thanks to grimydawg for the tip)

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/158/29.jpg There's Hope! (B)

Recover from a poor performance.

When the song starts, strum rapidly so your rock meter goes to red. Then just complete the song normally to get the trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/158/47.jpg Smoking!!! (B)

Complete the song Smoke On The Water as a Vocalist.

Go to Quickplay with your mic and controller and pick the song 'Smoke On The Water'. This is a pretty classic song so you should be able to complete it without any trouble. If you are having trouble you can go Beginner and place your mic next to a fan so that it hits every note and completes the song.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/158/48.jpg Deadzone (B)

Fail a song with available Star Power in single player.

After you get enough star power to use it on a song, don't activate it and strum rapidly or stop playing so that you fail the song to get the trophy.

Score 5 stars in a song on Expert with Lars Umlaut in single player.

Go to career or quickplay and pick Lars Umlaut as your character. If you can't get 5 stars on any Expert songs, do vocals and pick a song with only spoken parts. These are 'Killing in the Name', 'Raining Blood' and 'Laid to Rest'. Place your mic next to a fan and complete the song to get 100% and the trophy is yours.

When the song is about to end, strum rapidly to get the rock meter to red. Then just finish the song with the meter in red to get the trophy.

Hit all Open Strum notes in the song Laid To Rest as the Bassist.

Note: It is not stated in the trophy description but you can only get this on Expert.

Open Strums are the purple lines that only appear when you are playing as Bass. You can play them by not holding any fret buttons and strumming.

Make sure you hit every open note in the song. I tried it by only focusing on the open notes but soon found out that this was a bad strategy. Then I tried to play the song like normally and I got 100% on it and the trophy. The song isn't that hard, you just have to get the feeling to the rhythm.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/158/42.jpg Hail The Reverend (B)(H)

Get 5 stars on the song Beast And The Harlot Expert Drums without using Star Power.

This trophy can be quite hard. You have to be a good drummer to get it.

Go to quickplay and do the song 'Beast And The Harlot' on Expert. You do NOT have to do it on Expert+.

You can't use the star power at all. Star power is activated by hitting both cymbals. Be careful not to activate it accidentally during the parts where you have to play both cymbals together. Practice the song in lower difficulty settings and in Practice mode. You need to keep your streak going throughout the song. Make sure to practice the Verse and Chorus so you can 100% them.

The hardest part about this trophy is that you have to pass the drum solo without star power. The first part is pretty simple. Just fast kick notes and some random drums. The second part is a crazy drum fill. You can get past this if you rapidly keep hitting the drum pad where the fill is going and make sure to hit the kicks in between the fills too. Don't mind about the random hi-hats between the fills.

Do the hardest sections in Practice mode and you should be able to get 5 stars on it with enough practice. If you are having trouble, you can get a friend to work the kicks for you while you do the upper drum pads.

To get 5 stars you'll need about 500,000 points.

Complete the song YYZ with 5 stars on Expert Bass.

This is one of the hardest Bass songs in the game. Practice the song in Practice mode and play it in a lower difficulty setting. The hardest parts are the bass fills and the main verse riff.

Practice these sections and use star power well to get the highest score and you should be able to get 5 stars.

To get 5 stars you'll need about 171,000 points.

Get 100% on a song as a Band (4 players).

You can do this locally or in online quickplay. For this, every player has to hit every note and not miss any. You can over strum but not miss any notes.

You can do this with 3 players by placing your mic next to a fan. Make sure every instrument is in Beginner. Then complete an easy song like 'I Love Rock 'n Roll' and make sure everyone hits every note. It might take a couple of tries but if everyone focuses well, you should be able to get the trophy.

Get a 100 note streak in the song Through The Fire and Flames on Hard or Higher as the Drummer.

This trophy can be quite tricky. Do this on Hard. Practice the main drum riff. You don't have to nail the drum fills. There are multiple spots in the song where you can get it without the fast drum fills. After you get 100-streak you have to complete the song or you won't get the trophy. Make sure you practice the song so you won't fail it.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/158/43.jpg Free As A Band (S)(H)

Score 2,000,000 points on the song Free Bird as a Band.

You can do this locally or in online quickplay. Make sure you have four instruments because this trophy is almost impossible with 3 or less.

Make sure you have a good guitarist with you who can do the song with good score on Expert. You can get 600,000 with just the guitar if you do well.

Drums for this song are easy but in the middle of the song there is a very long drum fill that can cause you to fail the song so make sure you are on hard or you're a good drummer.

Bass is very simple. You shouldn't have much trouble with it. If you can't do well on other instruments pick bass.

Vocals are very simple. You don't have to do Expert. Make sure you are on a difficulty setting where you can almost 100% the song because Vocals are the main source of star power.

Make sure everyone activates star power together and during parts where you all have a good streak going. Everyone should also save starpower for the ending. Guitar and Bass have rapid strumming here which will get you a lot of points.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/158/49.jpg You Play It Well (S)(H)

Perfectly play the Let's Play section in the song Play With Me as a lead Guitarist on Expert.

This trophy is one of the hardest trophies in game. You have to complete the Let's Play section 100% with guitar on Expert. Good thing is that you don't have to streak through it, you can overstrum.

I spent the whole day in Practice mode to get it. Start practicing with the slowest speed and when you can 100% it move one step faster. If you are having trouble, return to a slower speed. When you can 100% it at normal speed, you need to go to get the trophy. You can't get the trophy in Practice mode.

Start the song in Quickplay and play until you reach the Let's Play section. Stop playing a bit before it comes. Then hit the tapping section correctly. After it you still have to hit the strums after it. One time I hit every note in the tapping but missed a strum. You can strum like crazy while holding the correct fret to make sure you don't miss any notes there.

I used two hands to get the trophy. The first part of the tapping is just going from green to orange and back but you have to hit one extra red before going up to orange. Hit it with your left index finger while holding the green fret down all the time. Hit the orange with your right index finger.

The second part is easiest IMO. It is same as the first part but you have to hit one extra blue before going down to green. Just tap the orange button three times with your right hand to nail that part.

After it, you have to quickly get your right hand to the strum bar and strum the third part where there are simple notes going up from green to blue and red to orange. Strum like crazy to make sure you don't miss the notes.

After you have or think you have 100% you still have to complete the song. Don't screw here or you don't get the trophy. After the song, the trophy will pop up.

You can also get someone to hold the green fret button for you but for this song, it doesn't help that much.

Below is a video on how to get the trophy. In the video, the player only taps the orange notes in the second part of the tapping but I like to tap the first part too. You should test which method suits you better.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/158/50.jpg Raining Notes (S)(H)

You perfectly played the First Blood section of the song Raining Blood as the guitarist on Expert.

This is one of the hardest trophies in game. You need to complete the First Blood section of 'Raining Blood' in Expert and hit all the notes there. IMO this is harder than You Play It Well because the section is longer and Let's Play.

Make sure to practice it and play it on lower difficulty setting. Important is to play it on Hard. There are two ways of getting it.

Single Player method. You can do it by either holding the green button down all the time with your index finger while using the rest of your fingers to hit the other notes. I prefer this method. Another way is not to hold the green and tap it like the other notes. Some people prefer this because you have more control on your other fingers. You should not try to do this with two hands because there are chords in between the riff that you have to strum.

Two Player method. You can get a friend to hold the green fret button. This way you can play it like you would on hard. Make sure he lets go at the exact right time when the chords come.

Practice this in practice mode with the slowest speed and move to play in faster once you get 100% on that speed. After you can 100% it in practice mode, you have to do it in Quickplay. You can't get the trophy in Practice mode. Go to quickplay and play the song until you reach the First Blood section. You can just ignore the last bit of notes to get your hands ready. Keep trying until you hit every note there. Then you still have to complete the song for the trophy to unlock. Don't screw up here or you'll lose your trophy.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/158/51.jpg Bloody Feet (S)(H)

You completed the song Raining Blood with 5 stars as the Drummer on Expert+.

This is the hardest trophy in the game IMO. You have to get 5 stars on the song Raining Blood on Expert+ drums.

First of all, start with a lower difficulty like Medium. 5 star it. Move on to Hard and 5 star it. Then move on to Expert. Expert is exactly like Expert+ but with no double bass parts. You should first train the song so that you pass it. The hardest parts are First Blood and the outro. For first blood the riff is going very fast. Just focus on hitting the kicks and snares correctly. Don't care that much about the cymbals. Just randomly hit the cymbal to pass that part. Now comes the hardest part. The outro. It's rhythm is very hard. You have to alternate between hitting the cymbals and snares. Practice it in practice mode. What I did was keep playing it until I mess up. Then I activated the star power I saved for it and started just hitting all the notes that showed up in random order and pretty fast. That way you can pass the outro.

After this, I made sure I could 5 star the song on Expert. This isn't really that hard. You have to save star power and activate during the easy parts. That way you should hit the 5 star mark before the outro. Then just make sure you complete the outro.

After this you have to move to Expert+. This is where you'll notice why the trophy is called Bloody Feet. There are two ways of getting it.

Single player method. This is the hardest. You'll do it all by yourself. You have to purchase a second kick pedal because it is impossible with 1. Practice the fast kicks and use star power well. Make sure you won't fail the outro by saving some star power there. If you can pull this out by yourself, you can call yourself an excellent drummer.

Second method is two player method. You can do this with two players. One plays the drums and the other the kicks. The person playing the kicks can either use his feet or if you have extra drum sticks, drum the kick pedal with the sticks. This way you don't need two pedals. Use star power well and save it for the outro.

I found out that the most effective way to get the trophy is to practice the song so you can get every star power phrase and use it during the fast kick parts. If you can streak them while in star power, you'll boost your score almost half a star each time. If you're going to play the song alone, I would recommend playing the kick sections very softly and not moving your feet very much. Same thing goes with your hand in First Blood section and after it. Not only will it make your hand/feet tired but you won't be able to move your arms/feet as fast as you could. If you can activate star power on the kick sections and finish the outro without it, you'll get the trophy almost guaranteed. In outro you should practice the rhythm. During the first part I didn't mind about it that much but when you see the star power notes coming, that's when you should try to get your streak up. If you can do it, it will boost your score just enough for 5 stars.

To get 5 stars, you'll need to score about 345,000 points.

Complete the song Through The Fire and Flames with 4 stars or more as the Guitarist on Expert.

This is one of the hardest trophies to get. You have to get 4 stars on 'Through the Fire and Flames' Expert Guitar.

The song is one of the hardest songs ever in Guitar Hero. You have to practice the song to hit the star power parts and activate star power when you have a good streak. Practice the solos to pass them without star power and the rapid strumming verses so you can streak them and activate star power there for score boost. For the hardest solos, you can hit notes randomly while strumming. For the tapping parts you can use two hands so you can hit more random notes. If you practice the intro and can 100% it, you'll get a good score boost for the rest of the song.

To get 4 stars you'll need about 402,000 points.

Win an online Pro Face-Off match by 25,000 points or more.

You need to play an online Pro Face-Off match and win against your opponent by more than 25,000 points. This is easiest if you boost this trophy with another player. The loser plays no notes while the player who gets the trophy gets at least 25,000.

This trophy is exactly the same as You Cannot Beat Me, except that you have to do this in Face-Off mode. Again, you can boost this with another player who hits no notes.

You need to win 50 matches against an online player. You can boost this with a friend because 50 wins can take a while. Pick Battle mode because you don't have to complete the whole song to win. Make sure the losing player strums rapidly when the song starts so you win. Take turns and you should get the trophy after your 50th win.

A tip for the band leader trophy is to connect all your instruments, set the mic to be the band leader. choose Killing in the name, Laid to Rest or Raining Blood, and set the mic to expert (fan trick) and all others on beginner, then just leave it:)

Amazing Rockstar:

For Guitar, this is most likely the hardest song ever in Guitar Hero. Do the same thing you did for drums. Start with a lower difficulty setting and move up when you master that difficulty. Make sure to use star power well and Practice. For the intro, you can do it by holding the green fret with your right hand's index finger and tapping the rest of the buttons with your left hand. This way you're playing it like you would on Hard. For the fastest tapping sections use two hands to randomly play the notes you are seeing. Use star power on the hardest parts only.

Shouldnt it be left hand on the green? if your not lefty offcourse

Otherwise great guide! I personally think its way better then the stickied one:D

No it's right hand. That way you can use your whole left hand to play the other frets exactly like you would play it on hard.

k, I see, but when I tried this method i failed, personally i think left hand on green and red and right hand on yellow, blue and orange is best:)

I guess it's different for each player. I usually just use 1 hand and hold the green with my index finger and do the rest with my 3 fingers. I know it's harder but that just suits me the best. Many YouTube vids do that method I posted. For example in the vid guide for 8th Wonder that guy uses that method and I think it might be easy for beginners trying to pass the intro.

To play a song on expert+, the easiest song would actually be Bark in the Moon. Hardly any double bass, at all. There's the occasional triple bass, but it's not constant. Other than that, not too shabby. I have all Guitar Hero (P) except for the new GH. I shall get all of them again :)

Bark at the Moon is hard for players who don't really play drums. In GH:WoR, Shout at the Devil difficulty level for drums is 3 so it's pretty simple for beginners. I agree that Bark at the Moon has less double kick notes but the song itself is pretty hard and long and might not be that easy to do for some players. And don't forget the double kick mash right at the beginning. Might be a problem for some ppl.

And GJ for the plats! I just tried Bloody Feet yesterday for the millionth time and now my feet are cramping. Currently I can 4 star it. Another one that I don't have is Raining Notes but that should come with time when I decide to waste another day for grinding it.
