Game Info:

Groovin' Blocks is a new kind of music-based game.

It brings a unique mix of Rock Band-style beat-matching to addictive puzzle gameplay. It is the first game where you get rewarded for playing a puzzle game to the rhythm of the music. The game features high-quality original music, 27 stages, 15 levels of power-ups, as well as cooperative and head-to-head gameplay modes.

Trophies:

Obtain 1 star from any song.

Play your first song and you can't miss this.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/463/02.jpg Help is on the way! (B)

Unlock two bonuses.

When you get 6 stars in total on Casual you'll receive your second power-up and this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/463/03.jpg Easy Street (B)

Obtain 32 casual stars.

Get 32 stars on Casual difficulty, there are 51 in total.

If you have problems getting this, try some songs on Experienced for power-up upgrades, making it easier and some give higher bonuses and/or more points.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/463/04.jpg Feelin' complete (B)

Complete a song set.

Complete all songs in any set to get this.

Amount of stars doesn't matter, just finish the songs.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/463/05.jpg Sextuple me (B)

Get a 6x multiplier.

Try dropping all blocks on the beat until you have a 3x multiplier, which is the max you can get without power-ups/super beats. When you have 3x try to drop a block on a 'super beat', these are brighter than the standard beats.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/463/06.jpg Nothing beats experience (S)

Obtain 32 experienced stars.

Earn 32 stars from the 51 in total.

If you have problems getting this, try some songs on Hard for power-up upgrades, making it easier and some do give higher bonuses or more points.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/463/07.jpg It's a hard life (S)

Obtain 34 hard stars.

Earn 34 of the 54 stars in total.

Power-ups are your friend here, try to save the destruction power-ups for when it's getting really crowded with blocks.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/463/08.jpg Weapon of choice (S)

Unlock all bonus types.

When you have 45 stars on Experienced you'll unlock the last power-up and this trophy + "Unlock Nuke bonus"

Secret Trophies:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/463/09.jpg Playin' with power... (S)

Unlock all destruction bonuses.

Get the level3 upgrade for the destruction power-up

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/463/10.jpg WOW (G)

Obtain 36 stars on all challenge songs.

This is by far the hardest trophy in the game. You need to earn 36 stars on Legend difficulty (this difficulty is unlocked when you reach 40 stars on Hard), on this difficulty you don't have power-ups which forces you to take risks getting the multipliers.

My tactic: at the start of the song drop as many blocks on the beat as you can, now DON'T continue dropping on the beat, just let the blocks fall (this way you'll keep your multiplier). Only manually drop blocks on the superbeats, to get a 4x or 6x multiplier.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/463/11.jpg Unlock Nuke bonus (S)

Unlock Nuke bonus (BOOM!!!)

You'll unlock this one at the same time as "Weapon of Choice"

Without counting that last secret trophy, I guess the difficulty rating is a solid 4 (only because if you don't have good rythm, you are gonna get stucked!). But trophies are gained rather quickly.

Be careful how you vote.

Votes aren't based on the average difficulty of all the trophies. It's based on how hard it is to get all the trophies, which actually means you rate the difficulty based on the hardest trophy.

Many people voted Lego Rock Band anything from 4 to 6, saying things like "All the trophies are easy apart from 1". If you can't get that 1 trophy, you should vote a 10. Again, because difficulty here is based on being able to get every single trophy.

Oh I definitely agree!

That's why that preliminary rating is low. Like magmar says, if that last secret trophy has anything to do with the Legend difficulty, this is easily going to affect the ratings. In my case it would probably be a 7 (or who knows if a 10 :-p), but I'll wait to see if we can discover what the heck is that last trophy! I just learned that this game came out on the Wii, but I don't remember the Wii having achievements so...

I finally bought the game this morning, played it for over an hour, and it makes sense - it reminded me a little of "Columns" if you've ever played that game?

Casual mode doesn't seem too bad, and with powerups the early levels can be re-visited for score boosts. Once I get the Easy Street trophy, I'll move onto experienced mode. It's funny how you can get 4 trophies in the first hour of play; and I'm guessing the rest of them take far longer to get :p
