All secret trophies discovered!

Look at the bottom of the post to see them ;)

I tried in co-op, but with no luck:

  • complete 1 song
  • complete a set
  • getting a 6x multiplier
  • getting a 9x multiplier

In head-to-head, also with no luck:

  • winning from player 2
  • losing from player 2
  • getting a 6x multiplier with player 1
  • getting a 6x multiplier with player 2
  • getting a 9x multiplier with player 1
  • getting a 9x multiplier with player 2

Single player attempts:

  • getting a 9x multiplier
  • getting all stars on Casual/Experienced/Hard
  • every drop on the beat in a song
  • hitting all 'super beats' in a song
  • getting a 100.000+ score on a song
  • finishing a song with an empty field
  • finishing a song on Legend difficulty
  • getting 3 stars on a song on Legend difficulty
  • complete a set on Legend

Here they are:

(S) Unlock Nuke bonus

Unlock Nuke bonus (BOOM!!!)

I unlocked this one at the same time as Weapon of Choice (unlock all bonus types)

(S) Playin' with power...

Unlock all destruction bonuses.

Unlocked this when I upgraded the Destruction power-up to level 3

(G) WOW

Obtain 36 stars on all challenge songs.

Anyone already unlocked 1 or more?

Any ideas

maybe in head to head a few wins in a row? like 3 or 5 wins in a row

and in co-op you might have to get a score higher then ....

Let us know when you find these trophies!

I unlocked Legend difficulty at a certain point (don't remember exactly how much stars are needed for it to unlock).

I'm afraid the last trophy has todo with Legend, looking at how much % still needed for 100% this has to be a gold.

Didn't manage yet to complete one song on Legend, let alone get 3 stars or completing a set :(

Let's hope it's not getting all stars on Legend, that's going to be insane..

I'll ask a question here rather than on your trophyguide thread.

Basically, will I enjoy this game if I enjoy GH/RB games? I know it's likely not to be similar to GH/RB at all, but does the music/rhythm make a difference to the game? Will I need lightning reflexes for the hard modes?

I bought LUMINES Supernova last year, and I couldn't get my head around it (I still can't, so I'm stuck on 5% trophies lol). Is Groovin Blocks easy to understand and play?

it's easy to understand, just like Lumines,

but mastering it will need some skill/speed and a feeling for rhythm.

Here's the link to their website, with 2 video's:

Empty Clip Studios - Groovin' Blocks

edit:

to answer your RB/GH question, it has nothing todo with those games,

only the hit/drop-on-rhythm part can be compared with it.

the rest is all puzzle madness :D

squodge,

It's like Rock Band and Tetris had a baby... :-p

I don't play a lot of puzzle games but I found this one intriguing so I bought it and I don't regret it. Love the playability, the songs, etc. On Casual difficulty you will quickly get what the game is all about. If this game was priced even lower, maybe $5 or $7, it would have been better but it's $10 not wasted in my opinion.

magmar, thanks for the guide.

I didn't know you needed 45 stars in experienced to get the last bonus. BTW, there seems to be hidden tracks/songs?!?

hey GelockS, good to see you here and not only on the leaderboards :D

you can view under the option power-ups how many stars are needed for upgrades or to unlock a certain power-up.

what do you mean hidden songs, haven't seen anything hidden?

[btw, this is a thread to discover the last secret trophy, let's move this discussion to the guide ;)]

The thing is, I found Lumines easy to understand, but impossible to play. It doesn't even compare to Tetris. I could get 200+ lines on Tetris routinely. But on Lumines, I can't seem to think fast enough to create 2×2 blocks of colour.

Weirdly, I had to problems playing Numblast. The learning curve of Numblast is much higher than for Lumines, but my impression was that Numblast didn't have a learning curve as such, it was just hard to learn - but once you did, there wasn't much to improve on. Lumines was different - like learning the guitar. You can play a few chords, sure; but you were never going to be a Hendrix without a ton of learning. Or am I just retarded at Lumines.

In short, how the game 'feels'... is it more like Lumines, Tetris, or Numblast? If any of you have ever played a Bop-it Extreme 2 toy, I got the highest score possible after just a couple of tries. So I know my reflexes are good.

well, Numblast isn't really in it's place here, maybe only the speed needed but nothing more.

Groovin' Blocks plays like Tetris, but with the combination making of Bejeweled (3 of the same color in-a-row).

on the higher difficulties you sure have to think quick and still listen to the beat to earn highscores and thus 3 stars.

Lumines you just have to know how to make combinations which work all the time,

once you master that Lumines is a walk in the park.

Thanks for that. I think I'll snap this up from PSN then :D

I'll have to check whether it's cheaper on the US or UK stores, as I have plenty of credit on my US account.

I'm pretty good at Bejeweled, although I got bored of it which is strange as I've never gotten bored of Tetris. One day I'll understand Lumines... just not now :p

Wow.

That's impressive.

I still have to go through a bunch of 2 Star songs I have...

Did you check the Wii version to see if it has any kind of achievements or bonuses after you complete x or y objectives? I haven't had time to check (work is killing me!!!!!! :-p)

don't give up already ;)

yes it is a challenge but it feels good when you complete a song on Legend.

any of you already tried Legend?

according to the leaderboards I'm the only one atm who completed songs on Legend :D

Just unlocked legend.

Couldn't complete the first song! lol

I was close and then a twitch reflex made me press the down key and I it was placed in an already high column... I lost... hehehe

Maybe tomorrow I'll try for a bit.

Also, I couldn't be on time with the metronome for most of the song, so I don't think I'll be doing high scores on those guys...

I'll have to wait till the weekend before I can try matching either of you two legends lol. I work a night shift during the week (I'm at work right now, 3.17am), so I get twitchy nerves during the day, pft!

magmar is by far the most accomplished at this game, so he's the one to beat. The clock is ticking :D
