Loftus
The game is huge, simply playing through the story i probably spent a good 30 or so hours, then when you factor in replaying a lot of missions to meet certain requirements and a pretty huge online grind... I'm still not at yet and i'm already pushing the 100 hour mark with over half of the online left to go. It can probably be done a lot quicker with exploits/glitches etc. but for me it seems to be taking an eternity.
VersionII
0-5 hrs ... j/k 100+ lots to do in SP then MP with nerfed RP and those boring Plat awards.
vegetollo7
I think single player took me about 30-40 hours to complete everything. It's been awhile but I must have spent another 40-50 hours playing GTA Online.
Totoyeahwhat
30-40 hours on SP. Before they patched most missions to get RP, the online took around 30-40 aswell. Now total time for platnium is close to 200 hours.
Labartu
100+. The SP alone takes a while, and then there's the online grind which will take ages. I think my final time was 109 hours.
Warbear
100+ hours. There's lots to do in both the single player and online portion of the game. Getting the game to 100%, and getting 60 gold medals rack up a lot of time while the online portion requires you to reach level 100 and earn 30 platinum medals. It's a huge grind. Aeirou
With Rockstar going Patch-Nazi on GTA Online, you can expect the online grind alone to be quiet ridiculous. If you're not using a boosting method while roaming around from objective to objective, then you're looking at a lot of playtime. You're best bet is to take advantage of whatever boosting method is open to you as you're going for the trophies, quickly before it's patched. I wont even get started on talking about the campaign... just know that you're in for over 100 hours.
Combatting
Considering I knew Rockstar were nerfing every exploit going. Even after 24hrs after being publish. I managed to glitch my way to level 100. Before they again nerfed the helicopter glitch. Still it's going to take you over 100hrs+ either way. Plenty of things to do.
NY_Madness
Over 100 hours, good grief. And I was considering playing this game for the first time today after it's been sitting in my drawer for over 3 months, now i'll just throw it further down the backlog. jmac92123
Monster size game and a grinding task of collectables and online rp Well over 150 hours.....
Tkaley
I believe I voted for 51-75 hours last week. But now that I checked the Socialclub website, I saw that I spent over 80 hours for offline only. For online, I was "Wanted" for almost 5 days & 17 hours (due to the 200 rp glitch, 2 star glitch) That's just for the glitch. Other than that, probably spent a total of 15-20 hours in general. So yeah, definitely over 100 hours +
Kiina
76-100hrs. Idk the exact time but it must be around that.

MrJoobJoob
Around 100 for me. I found a great way of grinding XP in Online, which helped -- if you were try it without specifically XP grinding, then it might take you int he range 200 hours total. twyz
All I need to get the is to reach rank 100 online, but I'm already well over 100 hours total.
Ryoshi
Does the starting cash from the PS4 pre-order have a lot or any impact at all on the length?
DerbyStar
+100 hours for sure. Personally I've spent probably more than a 1000 hours in the game but I've also played a hell of a lot online etc. Completing the story, getting 70 gold medals and getting 100% in SP alone takes an eternity. And I had to do it TWICE because of some stupid glitch which kept me off the 100% trophy on my first save. I finally got around to finishing it today. I don't really remember much of the online trophies since I did them last year, all I do remember is that it was a huge grind towards level 100. So glad that I'm done with it

AstroFlibble
Over 100 hours is the only choice. The story takes a fair amount of time (20-30 hours), and then going around doing all the extras afterwards is easily the same time again, let alone going back to do missions over and over for gold medals. Online will take you longer than all of SP put together.
Juniorw189
I'm just glad there isn't a timed achievement like there was in GTAIV. 30 hours is doable in this, but the game is just a lot of fun if you take your time.
JAK-KRIEG
This can only be 100+ hours. Sp is 60 hours alone doing everything for 100% completion and getting the 70 gold medals.
GGNL
How long will it take to get to rank 100 online normally without exploiting bugs/exploits? I've already done all offline trophies and trying to figure out if I want to go into the online deal to get platinum. But not really looking forward to spend a 100+ hours again on online grinding
stpatty
My time spent online is 6 days, 1 hour 40 minutes. I've just reached rank 101 so a bit more than necessary there. My character playtimes: Michael - 23 hours 20 mins Franklin - 1 day 9 hours Trevor - 14 hours So, 100+ hours it is.
