Introduction:

Gotham City Impostors is a first-person shooter, multiplayer only video game set in the universe of DC Comics' Batman. Developed by Monolith Productions and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, the downloadable game is played from the perspective of two teams each trying to kill the other: one with people dressed like Batman and the other with people dressed like his arch-enemy, The Joker.

Step 1 – Complete the Initiation:

This is a series of quick training exercises to introduce you to the game. This is where you will be practising with a few of the weapons and gadgets such as the Grapple Hook, Glider Rig and Roller Skates.

Step 2 – Start the challenges:

These can be pretty hard and frustrating at times but luckily for you I have made a video guide. See Shower of Gold for the videos and more information. There are more than 50 challenges, to be exact there are 75 gold medals available for grabs but you only need 50. This means you can leave out the hardest challenges and just do the Easy and Medium challenges.

Step 3 – Online:

This is where you will be putting the majority of your hours in, try to do the following trophies in the order listed to make it more time efficient.

(B) Thanks for Playing!

(B) Customizer

(B) Total Victory

(S) Hero of the Hour

(S) Weapon Specialist

(S) Gearhead

(S) Nemesaurus

(S) Prestigious

Conclusion:

Gotham City Imposters is a pretty easy 100% and a great fun game to play, especially with mates. You shouldn't have too much trouble doing everything on this game and ranking up will come with time even if you are the worst FPS player ever you will be able to do this as its just plugging away. If your like me and have played a lot of FPS's in your time, this will be a breeze.

Trophy Guide

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/C9C.jpgInitiated (B)

Complete the Initiation mission.

GLITCHED but also no longer possible due to server closure.

Go to "Play Now" then select "Initiation" at the bottom of the playlist. This is a tutorial which will introduce you to the various gadgets and weapons in the game, beat it then the trophy will pop. According to a few people on these forums, this trophy has glitched on them and will not unlock. As of yet, to my knowledge, there is still no known solution.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/B9C.jpgSlap Happy (S)

Kill 50 enemy players using the panic-slap melee attack.

No longer possible due to server closure.

For this you must play Psych Warfare. When the enemy team plants the battery, hide and don't disconnect it. Your screen will then go all spinny and wobbly and you won't be able to use your weapon, you have 30 seconds to get as many kills as you can. Be careful though as the enemies can see you on their radar and their bullets will push you back making it hard to attack them.

I recommend the following setup:

Body Type – Nimble/Tough

Gadget – Roller skates

This will help you move quicker but still take a decent amount of damage before you get killed or you can try 8BitArtist's Method:

For Slap Happy, I used Mighty with Ninja Bomb and Body Armour. Hide behind the enemies and don't move. When the timer goes off, re-emerge from behind and slap them.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/183.jpgPrestigious (S)

Accept your first Promotion.

No longer possible due to server closure.

Total XP needed for level 100 - 2,500,000

This will take some time to get and will most likely be the last trophy you get if you followed the Road Map. I highly recommend using different weapons and doing all the challenges with them as well as the gadget challenges and item challenges.

I found this glitch the other day and it 100% works every time, see my video below for how to do it:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZzyW_Ziyu4]Gotham City Imposters - Level Up/XP Glitch [Tutorial] - YouTube[/ame]

This glitch will give you 31,500 XP every time!

TEXT GUIDE

Step 1. Search or a match

Step 2. Finish the match

Step 3. Quit back to the main menu

Step 4. Quit the game via the PS Button

Step 5. Start the game back up

Step 6. Bask in the success of free xp!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/CA9.jpgGearhead (S)

Complete all feats related to a particular gadget or support item.

No longer possible due to server closure.

I used the Targeting Goggles to get this trophy as there are only 2 related challenges, target 1,000 enemies and kill 2,500 targeted enemies. Once you do all the challenges, your trophy will pop or you can try DISCOKING's method:

An easier way to get the Gear Head trophy is the Motion Mines support item. Simply drop the mine near a gas canister in fumigation or battery in Physche Warfare. Any time a nearby enemy is tagged it doesn't matter if you kill the tagged enemy or if a team-mate kills him, you will get credit much faster than with goggles.

I will second that and say the motion mine is a hell of a lot faster than Targeting Goggles, all you need is:

2,500 enemies targeted.

500 mines deployed.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/773.jpgShower of Gold (S)

Earn 50 gold medals in Challenge mode.

No longer possible due to server closure.

In these challenges you will be tasked with a series of goals to complete. There are actually more than 50 challenges but you can just do the Basic and Intermediate sections of each map. Here are all the videos I made for the challenges needed to obtain the trophy.

Basic:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/285.jpgKill Crazy (S)

Earn a 10-kill streak.

No longer possible due to server closure.

This will be a hard trophy for you if you're not very good at the game as it's very skilled and luck based. I found the following set-up very helpful and it made getting a 10-kill streak much easier:

Body Type – Burly/Mighty

Ready Weapon – Shredder

Backup Weapon – Gatekeeper

Support Item – Body Armour

Gadget – Ninja Smoke Bomb

Fun Fact 1 – Wallflower

Fun Fact 2 – Marksman

Rampage – Kill Crazy

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/536.jpgThanks for Playing! (B)

Finish one match of Gotham City Impostors.

No longer possible due to server closure.

Do as you are told and play your first match!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/D45.jpgNemesaurus (S)

Become a Nemesis 50 times.

No longer possible due to server closure.

This will come over time, you need to kill the same enemy a set amount of times to get this but if you are good you will get it somewhere around level 50/60. If you are having trouble getting nemesis, use the loadout I described in the Kill Crazy trophy Description.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/B09.jpgCustomizer (B)

Unlock any locked loadout or costume item.

No longer possible due to server closure.

This is a simple trophy. As you rank up you will get an unlock for weapons and Mods, just use one of these and you shall get your trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/F5B.jpgWeapon Specialist (S)

Complete all feats related to a particular weapon.

No longer possible due to server closure.

Choose the weapon you feel the most comfortable with and complete the following challenges:

1,000 kills

500 Headshots

25 B.O sniffer kills

45 Extended Magazine kills

20 Muzzle Break kills

30 kills with the Penetration ammo against enemies with armour

75 Red Dot kills

60 Reflex Sight kills

These are the challenges for all Light Machine Guns and Assault Rifles. Some weapons have fewer challenges such as the Bear-Stalker.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/B65.jpgHero of the Hour (S)

Turn the tables in Fumigation when the enemy team's victory is imminent.

No longer possible due to server closure.

When the enemy team's % is around 95%, go mental and capture as many as you can. This will be a lot easier if you do it with a few friends.

Thanks to 8BitArtist for the following information:

For Hero of the Hour, you need to have 1 GB captured and the other team has 2. At about 97%, start capping a second GB while you still have the first capped. You will end up capping the second GB with 1-2% left and, as long as you still had the first capped, you will get the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1027/49F.jpgTotal Victory (B)

Win each game mode in Ace Chemical, Amusement Mile, Crime Alley, Gotham Power and The Docks.

No longer possible due to server closure.

For this trophy you need to win a match in each game mode on each map making a total of 15 wins.

I would personally hold off on shower of gold and dive right into multiplayer. This way you learn the maps well and how to use the items. After you get confortable with levels and items do some trials here and there. I actually had to do some of the advance ones for trophy as i wasnt good with jumping boots and skates/ certain weapons. Dont think i ever did get one where you skate and use sling shot while in skates! But if you come back after you are around level 30-50 should be cake then.

Initiated will not pop for me. I have contacted the devs to see if there is a reason for it.

I would suggest to anyone getting the game to just do that trophy first no matter what. I was in no rush to do it because I knew how to play from the beta's and now im out of luck with it.

I am going to try and get it to pop by playing on my sons ps3 and will report back if it works

Its also best to hide behind a wall and wait for the enemy to engage you so you can slap them, because bullets in this game push you away from the enemy pretty far and they also know where you are on the radar so they'll run straight for you, and you can set some bear traps in advanced to help you stop them in there tracks for an easy slap.

okk cheers, i am yet to use the mines, ill add it to the guide.

You should also mention which trophies that can be boosted. And have a boosting estimation as well for the lazy trophy hunters. ;)

i dont even know if the game can be boosted but if someone tells me ill add it to the guide, as well as which can be boosted.

For the Gearhead trophy, I found an easier way was to use the Hatchet. There are only 3 requirements and the Hatchet is a one hit kill item:

1) Kill 100 enemies

2) Retrieve 100 Hatchets that you have thrown (an easy way to get this is just to throw the hatchet on the ground by your feet then pick it up. Rinse and repeat)

3) Get 7 Post-Mortem Kills with the Hatchet

Motion mmes only have 2 categories

Tag people

Tag people get killed by you or teammate

Simply dropping the mine on the ground takes no skill

I think mines are easier than hatchets
