Summary:

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is a four player, ghost-busting adventure that will take players on a brand new paranormal experience. Gamers will suit up with their proton packs and assume the role of a rookie hired by the Ghostbusters to save New York City from a disaster of ghoulish proportions.

The action-packed gameplay progresses as players complete jobs as fearless rookies who explore a series of haunted environments that must be cleared of any ectoplasmic threats. The gripping adventure rages on as players encounter gigantic bosses that require a concentrated effort to defeat using a medley of highly destructive weapons including the Proton Stream, Plasma Inductor, and the Fermion Shock. Rookie Ghostbusters will face the dangers of the eerie world alone or with a ghostbusting team of friends both locally or online through the game’s multiplayer capability.

The Destructive Weapons:

The game is very basic with it's weapon killing type mechanics:

Red Typed Enemies: Proton Stream (Switch to it by pressing :circle:)

Yellow Typed Enemies: Fermion Shock (Switch to it by pressing :triangle:)

Blue Typed Enemies: Plasma Inductor (Switch to it by pressing :square:)

Road Map:

This game is meant to be played with online co-op buddies. You'll beat the game much faster and easily this way. The single player mode of this game is absolutely terrible. The AI are your average dumb jockeys and will sometimes follow you and don't shoot at ghosts since half of the time they'll just stand at the same position looking like an idiot. All they do is revive the fallen and once you're down on the later more challenging levels they'll attempt to revive you but will stop and run away once they get hit and then run back to you just to get a Game Over on your screen.

Step 1: Online Co-op

The first thing you'll want to do is find a decent group of players or friends that's willing to play through the entire game's 12 levels. Click here to find co-op partners. During this playthrough you'll unlock ROOKIES, HERO, FULL HOUSE, RUSH HOURS REVENGE, and BUSTIN' MAKES ME FEEL GOOD all naturally. This playthrough can also be done to obtain ROCKSTAR by destroying every LCD TV on the walls in the Hotel on Level 1: Training Day. Be sure to destroy everything during each level's sections to find the 30 hidden collectibles that are found hidden inside breakable objects scattered throughout game to unlock the NICE THINKING, RAY trophy. Click here for the collectible locations guide. Also be sure to kill a Slime Abomination with the wrong weapon for the COLORBLIND trophy.

Step 1.5: Online Chase Levels

This is by far the hardest step in the entire game. For this section you need to have a good team of co-op partners or PSN friends. Your main objective is to keep your shield up over 75% during a Chase Level. So have a group of cooperative teammates of 3-4 and select the first Chase Level on Level 4: NYC Mayhem. This is the best and easiest Chase Level in the whole game and it only consist of 4 parts but only 3 out of 4 of these parts are needed to maintain your Ecto-shield above 75% to unlock the DON'T TOUCH THE CAR trophy. Read more in the Trophy description.

Step 2: Clean Up

Use the level selection feature to mop up whatever trophies you missed during your online co-op game. To start off, watch each comic without skipping to unlock the STORY TELLER trophy. You can't view the story's (terrible) comic narratives while playing online. So use the level select and one by one watch it in full then quit to the main menu and select another level to view and repeat the same process over again. While selecting each level to view the comics of the game's story make sure to select each character at least once so you'll get the TEAM OF FOUR trophy for playing as every character at least once. When you select Level 12: Temple of The Destroyer, be sure to defeat that boss to view the last comic which is actually the game's ending comic. If you missed any collectibles which you can see how many you collected or missed via the level selection screen, then replay that game's level and destroy everything till you found them all. If you missed the SPEED DEMON trophy while playing online then replay the first level by yourself on single player. The first level is remarkably easy since it only has the Red typed enemies and the AI will actually help you trap a ghost successfully as long as you don't mess up on the mini button pressing command game, which will give you the perfect 100% trap score of 10,000.

Trophy Guide:

Finish the first level.

Self-explanatory. Just finish the first level and it'll pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/837/04.jpgHERO(B)

Revive any teammate 20 times.

Not as hard as it sounds. This trophy is best earned online because your teammates will fall down much often than the AI controlled CPU players would. This does not need to be done in one sitting or level. All revives are cumulative and will carry over. You don't need to revive the same teammate 20 times either. You just need to have a total of 20 revives by tapping :cross: over them then once you get your 20th teammate revival the trophy will pop. To find co-op partners use the thread here

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/837/06.jpgSTORY TELLER(B)

Watch each comic without skipping.

There are a total of 13 comics in the game. These are the comics that play at the start of each level. You must watch each one of these comics in full length from the beginning to the end. This will unlock after you viewed them all without skipping. And the last comic in the game is actually a comic after defeating the game's final boss.

Once you completed the game online and have all the levels unlocked after defeating the game's final boss. Use the Level Select feature and select every level and watch them completely till that level starts. Once the level starts up, press :start: and then quit to the game's main menu. Rinse and repeat till you watch Level 12's comic and solo kill the Final boss to see the last comic which is actually the game's ending comic. This will also unlock normally by pressing the :cross: button which is the "next page" button instead of pressing the :circle: which is the "skip comic" button.

Comic Length's Times:

Level 1 Comic Length: 7:20

Level 2 Comic Length: 2:50

Level 3 Comic Length: 1:40

Level 4 Comic Length: 0:55

Level 5 Comic Length: 0:55

Level 6 Comic Length: 1:25

Level 7 Comic Length: 2:45

Level 8 Comic Length: 0:45

Level 9 Comic Length: 1:10

Level 10 Comic Length: 0:40

Level 11 Comic Length: 1:50

Level 12 Comic Length: 1:05

Ending Comic Length: 1:40

Play with each character.

Self-explanatory. Simple select and play as each character once. The fastest way to unlock this is by selecting a character then starting up a level. Now quit to the main menu and select another character and repeat the process over again. It'll pop as soon as your fourth character loads up in the level.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/837/08.jpgROCKSTAR(B)

Destroy all the expensive LCD televisions in the hotel.

A very simple trophy. Simply destroy all 8 of the LCD (Liquid-Crystal Display) televisions on the walls of the game's very first level (Level 1: Training Day). Click here for the Collectible Guide.

Here's a video of the LCD TVs locations. Please note that the real 5th LCD TV is on the top wall in the room with #4. He didn't count it, but destroyed it still.

Finish an online level with the help of 3 other players.

You need to be in a full party for this trophy. Easily obtainable in the Co-op Partners Thread. Will pop for all players once you completed a level.

Defeat the Subway Smasher.

Story related. Boss fight on Level 5. He can be defeated easily with the use of the Co-op Partners Thread

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/837/02.jpgBUSTIN' MAKES ME FEEL GOOD(S)

Level 5: Subway Smasher

Level 6: Graveyard Plot

Level 7: Back to The Sedgewick

Level 8: Mean Streets

Level 12: Temple of The Destroyer

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/837/03.jpgNICE THINKING, RAY(S)

Find all the collectibles hidden inside objects in each level.

There are 30 collectibles hidden in objects throughout the entire game. Simple destroy everything and collect the "Stay-Puft Plush" found hidden inside the breakable objects. This does not need to be done in a single playthrough and you only need to pick it up at least once only. If you're wondering if you collected them all or missed any of them on a certain level. Then you'll be happy to know that you can view the collectibles that you have found in each level via level select. Who said level select wasn't awesome? This can be earned online too. Everyone get's the collectible added to their collection list regardless who picks it up. Click here for the Collectible Guide.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/837/05.jpgSPEED DEMON(S)

Get 100% score with the trap.

Best done on Level 1: Training Day on single player. You won't have any trouble making it to the level's first boss on solo. Once you defeated the boss and the Trap Ghost command shows up. Press :r2: to enter a mini game and you'll be promoted to enter a random combination of :square:, :triangle:, :circle:, :cross: to trap the ghost. Now here's the difficult part about this trophy. In order to get the "Perfect" 100% score with the trap you must score a 10,000 at the end of the trap capture. That score is actually affected by your teammates. While you're the one trapping the ghost in the mini game. Your teammates need to keep their Proton Streams shooting at the ghost till it's trapped in the Trap device. This is why it's best to do this trophy on single player because the AI controlled CPU players will keep shooting at the ghost while your doing the mini game command entries.

This can also be obtain via online play, but chances are you'll score around 7,500-9,800 if your teammates stopped shooting at the boss then the player won't get a 100% perfect trap score. Also note that if a teammate did get the perfect score. They would be the only ones to get the trophy and not the teammates.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/837/09.jpgCOLORBLIND(S)

Kill a Slime Abomination with the wrong weapon.

Another simple trophy. Slime Abominations are the big golem slime looking monsters. They come in all the corresponding weapons colors of Red, Yellow, and Blue. To get this trophy you need to simply kill a Slime Abomination with a different colored weapon. For example, if a red Abomination appears then kill it with the Fermion Shock (yellow) or the Plasma Inductor (blue). The trophy will pop as soon as you kill it with the wrong colored weapon. Also note that you can weaken it faster with the right corresponding weapon color and then switch to a wrong colored weapon for the final kill. You'll encounter your first Slime Abomination on Level 3: River of Ooze and many more on later levels for they're pretty common enemies types.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/837/12.jpgDON'T TOUCH THE CAR(G)

Finish a chase level with at least 75% of the Ecto-shield up.

This is best earned on Level 4: NYC Mayhem. On this level you have 4 rides on the Ghostbuster's car. Thankfully you only need to keep your Ecto-shield's up for only 3 out of 4 of these rides. This can easily be achieved with a party of 3-4 players. For the first ride's part, have all players focused on the front and kill the Red Birds flying in from the front toward your car. On the second part's beginning ride your car will do a drift turn to the right as about 10 Red Skulls come swarming in from the left towards you. Kill them and once you make it past that part, have the players take their own sides. For example, have two players shooting at the front and the other two take the back for the reminder of the ride. On the third part which is the final chance to keep your shield above 75%. Continue taking your own sides and kill everything that comes flying in from the front and back sides. To find co-op partners use the thread here

You'll probably find it yourself, but yes, there is one last comic cutscene after the final boss, so you'll have to beat him solo or with local co-op. Thankfully he's not that hard so long as you remember not to stand in the path of his nearly invisible flame barriers, because the AI does not feel like reviving you on that level.

Thank you, I knew it pretty much since I have experience with the game. I might post the total time of the comics but didn't because they only 50 secs to 3 minutes in length and the first ten comics added to over 10 minutes of watching time. that really didn't effect my estimate time to 100%. I'm over 6 hours in so far. and 3 hours was co-op the other was me trying to be Rambo so I have 11/12 trophies without my teammates, but impossible to solo this on the last stages with partners.

Blaze, when you post a guide, don't just say you'll figure some of the stuff out later. It should already be figured out. Please update it soon.

It'll be done. I couldn't confirm it when my team went to work last night. but I tried to solo the tenth stage 8-10 stages myself and made it to the tenth stage but the AI are dumb and got game over 40 times. So I had to wait 4 my team and now we ready to proceed on. I'll edit all level names and etc.

Plus I have a friend that will record the 75% trophy. while we doing it to demostrate our effective plan. I just didn't type it till we tried it out.

I for one was glad to see a guide even if it was only 85% complete. I just wanted to know these three basic things before buying.

Are any trophies 1: Missable 2: Online 3: Does it include a Platinum?

Thanks to what was here already I got my answers. I saw it earlier on another computer and couldn't respond then.

Looks fun by the way, I'll wait a week or more to read users reviews before deciding.

SPEED DEMON(S)

Get 100% score with the trap.

Your partners shooting the ghost don't affect the score. I was dead during an entire dunk sequence and my partner got the trophy. It's all based on your accuracy on pressing the pop-up sequence.

In fact shooting the ghost makes it harder because it ticks the sequence faster giving you less time to tap the proper button (although it is still easy to do anyway).

Question? were you with 2 players with 2 AI? There's a difference. in that for the AI will still be shooting.

Score is affected for a certain message pops on other players screen. It's not the exact wording of the message but it's reads something like:

Shoot the ghost to help your teammate trap the in the trap device.

I was with 3 other human players but I was dead and not doing anything during the dunk. The player who set the trap still got the trophy.

I really wanna buy this game but scared that some trophies are gonna be glitched like the last game. Have you heard of any glitched trophies?

The trophies in this game all work fine. It is unlike the previous Ghostbusters game where some trophies rely on stats stored on the server, which is the root of most trophy glitches (eg Gozers Most Wanted).

No glitch trophies that I'm aware of.

Your teammate was still shooting at the ghost while you were down. Score still affect by teammates I confirmed it many times. And this is the message that pops up on everyone's screens except the person doing the trapping mini game:

"Keep shooting the ghost with your photon beam to help your teammate."

Wow that is amazing, you were able to surmise that without even being in my game?

I just did some testing of my own on level 11 since it already starts with a boss fight.

On 4 player local multiplayer with all three teammates dead, I threw a trap and with 11 button presses I got 10,000 points.

On 4 player local multiplayer with all three teammates alive and shooting... trap with 11 button presses = 10,000 points.

When you throw your trap your score already starts at 10,000 points. You can see the current score in the middle of the screen the moment you start trapping. You have a set amount time to press the next button before the points start decreasing to 9900, 9800, 9700, etc. Your partners shooting just increases the amount of time you can press a button before the score starts dropping.

Your teammates don't have to be shooting. It is not a necessity for the trophy.

I appreciate your own theory testing efforts, but the thing is your whole team was dead and not alive. If they're dead they'll have no effect towards the score. If they all still kicking, well that's another story. :)

For you collectible guide you should ask for another post in this thread so the guide is not in the middle of the thread or make a new thread and link that thread to your guide.

Thank you for the tip. I had no idea admins had that kind of super modification power. :)
