ROAD MAP

Estimated 100% Difficulty: 3

Approximate Time to 100%: Two hours

Offline: (B) 7 (S) 4 (G) 1

Online: None

Missable Trophies: None

Minimum Playthroughs: 1 round on each map

Difficulty Affects Trophies?: No difficulty settings

Glitched Trophies?: None

Cheats?: No cheats available

Although Flight Control is listed under the Move section of the store as a Move game, it is also compatible with the DualShock3/SixAxis controllers. The controls for both are:

Move: Waving the Move controller around will move the onscreen pointer, and the

:trigger: locks onto an aircraft. You must hold the :trigger: while setting a landing path for all aircraft. :circle: speeds up the game.

DualShock/SixAxis: Use the :ls: to move the pointer around the screen, hold :cross: to set a landing path, and :circle: speeds up the game.

I'd recommend playing through once on each map after reading the tutorial, then once you find the airfield you feel most comfortable on, aim for any leftover trophies.

Step 1: Read through the tutorial

This will net you the Safety Card trophy, and then you can dive straight into the game.

Step 2: Play once on each airfield

Don't worry too much about your scores first time round, as long as you land at least one aircraft per game. Once you've gotten the First Flights for playing each level once, you can go back and cleanup.

Step 3: Cleanup

After my first playthrough on each level, the three trophies left were Perfect Timing, Veteran and Wings. Find the airfield that you feel most comfortable on, and I recommend using that for any leftover trophies.

TROPHY GUIDE

Read the game tutorial

Once you load up the game, select the "Tutorial" tab using :l1: and :r1:, then keep clicking "Next" to get to the last page. Once the last page is shown, the trophy will pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/747/02.jpgFirst Flightshttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Land an aircraft on each airfield

For this trophy, simply play through each airfield, making sure to land at least one plane/helicopter every time. The trophy will pop once you land the first aircraft on the last airfield you play.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/747/03.jpgJet Powerhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Land 10 jets in a game

Jets are the planes that are noticeably bigger than the regular planes, you can just about see the engines under the wings, which you can't see on the regular planes. To get the trophy, you need to land 10 of these Jets in the same airfield on the same round.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/747/04.jpgCenturionhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Reach 100 'Total Aircraft Landed'

This is a cumulative trophy recording the total number of aircraft you have successfully landed. Once you get to the 100th plane/helicopter, as soon as it touches down on the runway/helipad your trophy will pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/747/05.jpgHelicopter Lovehttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Land 3 helipoters in a row

To get this, you need to have 3 helicopters landing one after another. No planes can land while you are going for this trophy, so if you have 2 helicopters on screen, I'd recommend keeping your planes in the air until the third helicopter appears, then try your best to land all 3 without any interruptions from crashes or otherwise. The trophy will pop once the third helicopter lands.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/747/06.jpgRush Hourhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Land 5 aircraft within 10 seconds

If you don't aim for this trophy intentionally, by keeping a sufficient number of aircraft in the air so that you can land them quickly enough to get this trophy to pop, you will definitely get this sooner or later once you get far enough into a level, and aircraft begin to appear more and more frequently. Providing you have landed the aircraft in time, the trophy will pop as the fifth aircraft touches down.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/747/07.jpgHolding Patternhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Keep the same aircraft in the sky for 3 minutes

See "Restrainer" for more information.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/747/08.jpgRestrainerhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Land no aircraft for 3 minutes

I recommend going for this trophy and "Holding Pattern" at the same time, but nevertheless they require the same principle. This will obviously be made a lot easier if you start a level out and right from the beginning, don't let any aircraft land. Personally I found it a lot easier using one of the huge maps (maps #6, #7 and #9 seem to work best) because of the extra airspace. Obviously for Holding Pattern, you only have to keep one aircraft from landing. As long as the same plane/helicopter stays airbourne for 3 minutes, you can let all the other aircraft around land if you wish (which makes things a lot easier too!). The trophy will pop after 3 minutes pass for both of these.

Land 3 aircraft at the same time

There is virtually no forgiveness in the timing for this one, so to make things easier for yourself, I'd recommend going straight for this trophy at the start of a round, and keep one of each aircraft colour in the air (letting the others land to keep some free airspace) until you have 3 different colour aircraft ready to land. To set up as closely as possible, I'd set them all up in front of their respective runways/helipads, and just draw a flight path to keep them circling in front of it. Then when you're ready, send them all straight in to land at the same time. This may take some practice, but you'll get it eventually. Once you get it right, the trophy will pop as they all land together.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/747/10.jpgCrowded Skyhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Reach 20 'Most Aircraft on Screen'

The 'Most Aircraft on Screen' will be the point where you have filled up the airspace and so no more aircraft can be sent in. I got this whilst going for "Perfect Timing", as having not landed anything for 3 minutes, unsurprisingly the airspace got a little crowded. I'd recommend using a big airfield for this too (maps #6, #7 and #9 seem to be best) since the aircraft seem a lot easier to control when you have more airspace to work with. After the warning has popped up for the 20th time, your trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/747/11.jpg Veteranhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Play 200 games in total

I can now confirm that the fastest method for this (although extremely tedious) is simply repeating the following cycle - load up a map, double tap :circle: to lock fast mode, wait for the inevitable crash, then press :cross: twice to reload the map. Using this method you should have the trophy in under an hour. The trophy will pop upon loading up the 200th game.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/747/12.jpg Wings (G)

Land 200 aircraft in a game

Following N43's recommendation, the map which seems best for this definitely the 5th map (the one with the windsock and opening/closing runways). Once you get the hang of dealing with the switching runways, you shouldn't have too much trouble getting into a groove on this map and racking up 200 successful landings in one attempt. I personally recommend prioritising the red planes on this map, since every time I played it on this map, all my failures were because of something I did wrong with the red planes (usually letting a Jet slip through). Once you succeed, the trophy will pop after the 200th aircraft touches down.

Tip from patacama:

Here's a little tip for the Wings trophy - if you crash, quit the game and select the map that you crashed on and select continue, it will return you to the last tenth number before your crash (10, 20, 30, etc).

Wings

I got this 3rd try on the 5th map the one with the wind and changing landing strips.

Seems the best map do this on.

Perfect Timing

I got this without even thinking about it ,on the 5th map , same one I got wings on.

Restrainer

I got this on the 6th map ( one that goes night and day )

When you first play on a map there will only be 1 aircraft for the 1st minute before the others start to come, map is nice and big , don't let them get to near the edge to avoid accidentally collisions on new aircraft coming in.

I'm using the DS3 btw.

Also this game isn't coming to the US store.

I got wings on my first ever play of the Windy level, as many others have said that's the easiest level to get it on, just got to keep your wits about you and bare in mind planes that are already set to land will still land even if the wind closes the runway.

I can't do the no landing for 3 minutes one yet, although I guess its doable if you just draw lots and lots of spinny circles and like spinning plates just top them up as you go lol

also, do using multiple controllers still work for the trophies? that seems the best way and working as a team with a friend

What difficulty rating is it?

2-3 out of 10.

Also I got all the trophies expect play 200 games in less than an hour.

Are you guys using reg. controller or MOVE?

DS3

When you first load a map don't press anything and only one plane will come for the first minute , makes it alot easier, bigger maps are best.

How do you have this game? I don't see it in the store.

Only available in Europe and Japan gets it next month. It's not coming to the US store.

I don't think you'll be able to, maybe try one of the import sites to pick up a UK PSN card? Or maybe eBay?

This trophy title is misleading, i got this just by landing 10 aircraft full stop, consisting of jets, small planes and helicopters, once the counter reached 10 it popped

Thanks for this, will update if someone else can confirm this has happened to them too, just in case it was a one-time thing :x

2-3 out of 10.

I rate it as 2 for difficulty and 9 for fun. Great party game.

Although "Wings" looks a daunting prospect at first, it is in fact pretty straightforward on the windy map (#5) - even with a DS3. As others have found, the larger maps which render smaller aircraft are the easiest on which to get "Restrainer" simply because it is easier to keep the aircraft apart when you draw your tight, concentric circles or multiple small lines that double back on each other (both work equally well). Ditto for "Holding Pattern".

Not bad for a game originally made as a minor side project to another title. One hopes for future DLC with different game modes. Online coop would be nice. And parachutists veering across the windy map?

I don't know if it's already posted but here's a little tip for the Wings trophy (G), if you crash, quit the game and select the map that you had in the crash and select continue, it will left you to the last number with a final 0 (10, 20, 30).

It's a great guide too. If you remember I did the banner ;)

Awesome, thanks, will edit it in now. And I certainly do, thanks again ;D

Just worth pointing out that you have to be really quick to do that i.e. AS SOON AS your two aircraft crash and before it autosaves. Messing about to see how to get patacama's tip to work, I found it difficult to quit quickly enough with the Move controller because of the small PS button. Using a DS3 it wasn't a problem to quit in time, so I will probably switch to the normal controller for 'Wings' only.

Earlier I was on 193 landed and cruising, then one came out of nowhere and smashed into a plane already on its flight path :( Wish I'd known the 'quit' tip then!
