Trophy glitch

So far Fast Worker and The Hard Way trophies can be completed from the start of stage 4.

Anyone try No Man Left Behind, Fireproof, or Miss Ion Complete from the 4th stage to see if they pop? I always seem to run out of time at the last part of stage 4 or a random character dies right after I open a door.

EDIT: nevermind. looks likes you have to start from the beginning.

Also does anyone know anyway to tell who is the one who set off the fire for first mission on stage 4?

Try rescuing the robot.

Saving the Robot doesn't count towards to 'No Man Left Behind' nor 'Fireproof' trophy. If you happen to let the Robot go to the exit, you don't get an extra time. If you do, you don't complete the mission, and you get the words from Ms. Ion: "You let the stranger go? Get out of my sight!".

To identify who the robot is in level 4-2, don't try to save the people yet. If you found the people, take them to the safe place, but don't let to go to the exit yet. When you find a big empty room where it's coloured black (I think), and if you move forward a little, you'll see the security scanner. When you bring one person at the time and you bring them there, it'll identify whether it's a real person or not. If the light is coloured green, then it's safe to let them go to exit; if the light is coloured red, then you'll soon realized that it's not a real person, it's a ROBOT. When you found the Robot, find the room where you can let it stay on the squared-shaped floor, and you press the switch to activate the flames that'll destroy it immediately (IMPORTANT NOTES: DON'T touch that floor that emits flames or you'll die permanently). Once you destroyed the robot, you can now safely escort all of people including Miss Ion.

Try rescuing the robot

According to a post by the devs on Facebook, you have to do all the missions and rescue all cats for fireproof too.

So that would mean you have to find and destroy the robot.

I guess that I'm just missing one of the workers, 4 cats per level, and 19 people? That seems a bit random, it's probably 4 cats and 20 people.

This is really strange.

I have now tried for fireproof on he 4th stage alone for a third time. This time saving the robot. Still no trophy.

There are definately only 19 people you can rescue on that stage since my rescue stats where 4 cats 18 people. Had the heart monitor on so I knew I couldn't have missed anyone.

Edit: The one thing I didn't do. Was speak to miss ion for a 2nd time After the robot was saved. So she never said Get out of my sight. Did anyone who managed to get this speak to her a second time?

Hey everyone just completed, so thought I would chime in. Wanted to confirm as well, that fireproof, fast worker and hard way can be obtained on the last stage.

@ King_Ubu: As ROFLWAFFLES said sounds like the trophy has glitched on you. I completed the level with 4 cats and 19 people and 'destroying the robot' - so you can save Miss Ion. I had the same thing happen with 'The Hard Way' trophy. Signed in and out, completed multiple times, tried uploading save to Plus and re-downloading after deleting the game and nothing. Thought I must have missed someone so attempted the 100 death trophy and after 112 deaths still didn't unlock anything. After a lot of frustration I ended up having to start the game on a new save and the trophies started unlocking as usual.

I am a compulsive screenshot taker so can also confirm there is an odd number of people to save in the game. Just did 'No Man Left Behind' and total was 16 cats and 79 people.

[ATTACH]8175[/ATTACH]

I hope this is helpful to anyone that reads this. As the trophy glitches are both really helpful and frustrating depending on which you end up getting. And while I absolutely love this game the trophies not unlocking really made me want to pull my hair out.

Well I might try on another save then.

Oddly, if this trophy has indeed glitched, it doesn't glitch every other trophy.

I was able to get Miss Ion Complete and No Man Left Behind despite the problems with Fireproof, still to get the 100 deaths so might try and test that one just to see if there's something which you can do which glitches those particular trophies.

I can confirm that this has happened to me.

The 100 death trophy hasn't unlocked and nor will Fireproof.

However, I was still able to unlock other trophies despite these two glitching out on me, so if it does happen to anyone else, you can get all but those two trophies without having to use a fresh install/save file.

I do wonder what it is that causes those two trophies to glitch the way they have?

I just purchased this game over the PSN Summer Sale. I like it a lot (I absolutely dig Spelunky and Binding of Isaac). I'm happy I read some of ya'lls posts about getting some of the trophies by just firing up the last level and playing through. I figured "Fast Worker" would be impossible without just killing people and trying to run from the Grim Reaper the entire time.

I'll try and steal from the shop keep too. Didn't even know that was possible?

So I wanted to do a quick update of anyone reading about this game still trying to unlock trophies: the game is NOT patched yet (on Vita) for completing "Fireproof", "Fast Worker", and "The Hard Way" by firing up the game on Level 4 (The Factory) and finishing the game like normal. However, completing the game like this will not unlock "No Man Left Behind". I have yet to complete the game saving everyone, however... atleast with Fireproof out of the way, you can revive people with the Defibrillator (I think?) and unlock No Man Left Behind.

I can confirm you can use the Defibrillator to get No Man Left Behind (I just did it).

Important tips:

1)cats can't get defib'd, so save them immediately upon entering a room. Heartbeat Sensor helps here.

2) before you get a defib, check your map going into rooms -- if it has a door on the far side, you might get the 'wall of fire' which insta-kills people. Hose like crazy! Wet floors stop the wall. The Wall caused me many a restart.

3) imo if you don't get either the defib, super extinguisher, or speed shoes in the first store (so level 2) consider just restarting.

[really, defib is the best since w/o it a tiny mistake can end a good run]

stores can -suck- (i've even seen dupe items in the same store, let alone repeats of stuff i have) and getting an important item early helps. Note- getting 3k for the first store if it does a super weapon will likely require a minute or so of 'farming' a room that has rugs for a couple hundred extra gold. [lightly hit big fires w/ hose in the middle so they quickly recatch]. A 3k item in store 1 is the only time i've ever needed to farm.

4) be careful where you 'park' cats in late stages... some have acid/ tiny fireballs/ etc. that still exist post-clearing it.

I can confirm "Fireproof", "Fast Worker", and "The Hard Way" can be popped from just doing stage 4.

Tips --

Do Fireproof and The Hard Way separately. After you turn off the power, make your way to the store. If it's got something great [speed boots, super extinguisher, super hose] then hit the clerk with your extinguisher and steal everything and go for Fireproof.

note -- now satan will come after you instead of the grim reaper, and he's real fast... so keep time on the counter!

I tried doing them together for awhile, and while I got close, it was overly frustrating. It's far easier separately, especially since you can skip missions if necessary for Hard Way and don't feel like you're ruining a good run for Fireproof.

If the store is full of useless junk, then ignore it and go for The Hard Way.

You should get Fast Worker naturally with one of the other two, I didn't have to try for it.

Some Stage 4 notes:

Don't drop people into the exit until the last second; it's better to run on empty time for a little bit (assuming you haven't stolen anything) and drop them in at the end if necessary so you have the full 5 minutes for the next level. That said, on a good run you should be good for time - I finished hard way with 3 minutes on the clock but got lucky [the robot got hit by a fireball, identifying him].

Pay attention to room design! If there's a door on the far end, hose away! Fire walls kill people instantly.

I got Fireproof with a super hose. Extinguisher or speed boots would have been useful too.

Oh, and my 100 deaths trophy popped at exactly 100 deaths.

Right... I got platinum a while ago and I did a lot of testing and I think I've cracked the conditions for the glitch to occur/not occur for Fireproof.

So I looked at peoples time stamps as to who got the trophy and who didn't and I noticed something, those who had the trophy got it before getting every upgrade.

So I ran some tests.

First attempt: Fully upgraded. (This was repeated many times under tons of conditions).

1: When I tried to get it originally from my own save file, I had every upgrade maxed out.

2: Beat stage 4 with trophy conditions, no trophy.

Second attempt: Some upgrades.

1: Deleted my game, beat stages 1-3 and only picked a few upgrades (mainly fire resistance).

2: Beat stage 4 with trophy conditions, no trophy.

Third attempt: No upgrades.

1: Deleted game, started new, cleared stages 1-3 without ANY uprades, at least 1-3 NPCs died during this step.

1.5: Quit the game when at stage 4, start a new run on stage 4, do not buy any upgrades.

2: I beat stage 4, with trophy conditions, no upgrades. Trophy popped.

I think, that fireproof has a glitch within a glitch. That being if you pick some specific upgrades, for whatever reason it locks you out of playing just Stage 4 for it.

So if you want this, try doing a no upgrade run and then keep at Stage 4, it will take a number of times but eventually you'll get it.

However, a patch is coming next week which makes the game easier so this advice might be redundant.

You say some NPCs died... but isn't fireproof for beating the game without anyone getting knocked down by fire?

I remember mine unlocked first try y just beating stage 4 before i was fully upgraded (if that helps)

Hopefully the patch comes out with the ps4 version, I've wanted to finish this off for quite some time.

It depends on how you do it.

Start from stage 1 - end game = No NPCS must die.

Start from Stage 4 - end game = No NPCS must die.

Start from stage 1 - 4, then quit the game = It doesn't matter.

You can play the game and unlock stage 4, it doesn't matter if any NPC's died during stages 1 - 3 so long as you start fresh on stage 4 and nobody dies/gets KO'd you'll get the trophy (provided you don't get hit by the upgrade glitch).
