Full list of all monsters needed for 100% enemy report in Final Fantasy XIII-2. This is all based on personal experience.

Keep in mind that this list WILL contain spoilers about bosses, you have been warned.

This is not a strategy guide on how to defeat certain bosses or monsters, feel free to discuss strategies but none will be added to the list.

The list might contain minor errors such as which monsters you meet in side missions, please contact me if you find any of these. Also, feel free to post tips on how to meet monsters or if you feel a monster should be listed as a semi-rare monster. I require a reasonable reason to change anything.

Lastly, this list is to be used on PS3T and PS3T only.

A few things you should know about the bestiary fragment:

You only need to fight a monster once in order to gain it's entry.

You do not need to unlock all data for a monster in order for it to count, simply it being in the bestiary is enough.

Rare monsters can spawn more than once.

Terms used in the list:

Purple: Bosses or monsters you will fight in the main story.

Green: Monsters you have to fight in side missions.

Blue: Monsters that are not classified as rare, but can take longer to spawn compared to normal monsters.

Red: Rare monsters that appears as "Voids" when they spawn.

Mind you the boss "Proto fal'Cie Adam" has a special form which you will not encounter, no matter what, in the story. Please refer to it in the list below.

There's also a version of "Caius Ballad" that can be missed (But obtained later with time reversal), refer to Caius Ballad in the list below for more info.

Lol. I just managed to (P) the game with all the random lists I could find. Oh well! :p

Great job. Hopefully this will help people with some of the more annoying monsters, so it will get less frustrating! :applause:

Stonestump Wastelands Trench(Sunny) for Metal Gigantuar seems to work really well. I encountered him so many times with the rare monster fragment on.

Excellent work! Not that I'd expect anything less from the Ninomiya-Kun Fan Club! :D

Thanks brother!

Proto fal'Cie Adam - To fight the special version of Adam, you will have to intentionally fail on ALL QTE's AND pick a wrong answer when you get a choice (Everything but 'Scream at Hope'). All of this happens after you defeat the 2nd form of Adam.

Right Manipulator - Same as above.

Left Maniupulator - Same as above.

Seriously, a hidden FAIL addition.....ridiculous

Excellent job Lethal!

I'm not sure how, but I got all 4 versions of Adam without failing any of the QTEs. When I fought him the first time through, I aced the QTE then did every other option in the Live Trigger except for Scream at Hope. After this I had 3 in my bestiary, then I got a 4th going for the paradox ending. Not sure if I was a fluke, but if not, you don't need to fail the QTE.

Yup, I actually just confirmed that. 1-2 you meet no matter what, 3rd is by taking a wrong choice and the last is from the Paradox ending. Thanks! :)

I found Fomoire and Malebranche on the west side of the Steppe in stormy weather, in the marsh but against the cliff. I couldn't find them in the ridge or wastelands for hours. Hit the cliff and bam they showed up.

Woah, I found both just south of the gate that requires you to activate the statues.. Could it be that they spawn everywhere? Either way I'll try and see how long it takes for me to spawn them on the west side.

I don't know if they spawn everywhere, but I couldn't find them at all in the South, got frustrated, eventually found someone who mentioned they saw at least one of them by the edge of the cliff so I went over there. When I made it there I believe Malebranche was the first one to show up. Beat him, moved a little more south just to see, another Malebranche, ignored him, continued and Fomoire showed up. In the marsh I found Vouivre as well, at least I think so, didn't bother fighting them. But they were near Ochu's spot.

About the Malebranche, since there was doubt I looked up at this site, with the map of Archylte in stormy weather. There says the Malebranche (マレブランケ) appears at the very south (南部) and at the very west (最西部).

EDIT: it's the same for the Fomoire (フォモール)

I was just pointing out what the site said :p, trying to bring some different light to the discussion. :)

I didn't looked to much into the list, since I don't have the english version of the game, but...

Vouivre - this one had a thread in this forum, and some of the players informed that they found him in the cloudy weather. The japanese site says you can find him in all weathers except the stormy weather. And today, while trying out Lightning, I found this enemy at least 5 times in the sunny weather.

Tonberry - you can find him outside the area where Atlas stood. I farmed him in the tunnels. Don't know if the same applies to Don Tonberry.

Proto-Behemoth - he's not from Augusta Tower, but Academia AF500.

Is the Sahagin Prince a particular area of Sunleth Waterscape AF300 or he is just very rare?

Can fight him anywhere, I remember fighting him near the gate to the south.

Thanks, :) I'll do an update when I get home. The only reason I listed Proto-Behemoth in Augusta Tower is because you fight it in the elevator sequence during story, either way i'll add Academia as another possible location.

in archylte steppe, what is a hotspot for moblins and their captains?

I badly need to farm vitality essences but they just never spawn, i know a hotspot for metal cactuars (i have hermes shoes woot) farming, for blue chocobos even, they almost 100% show up, also navidons exact location easy.

but these moblins only show up once every random 20 fights or so, i want to know wich EXACT spot on the map has them most of the time cause this is just 100% luck based this way and impossible to farm vit essences like this.

been lvling my navidon a bit with potent essences but they just dont yield as much hp and thats what a sen needs most.
