Fubzy
Overview: Estimated trophy difficulty: 1/10 (Vote here!) Offline: 15 (13 / 1 / 1 ) Online: 0 Estimated Time To 100%: 1-2 hours Minimum Number of Playthroughs Needed: 1 Arcade Mode Number of Missable Trophies: None Glitched Trophies: No known glitches Does Difficulty Affect Trophies?: No Introduction: Welcome to Fighting Vipers! An underrated and largely unknown fighting game from the 90s, which only made an appearance on two consoles in that gaming era (the Sega Model 2 and Sega Saturn). If you’re a fan of Virtua Fighter you’ll feel right at home here, as Fighting Viper’s battle system is quite similar. It's developed with cage-fighting in mind, with you fighting in a relatively tight arena, and each character built up in armour. Breaking off armour will result in the respective wearer’s defence being lowered, giving the other player an advantage. The trophies are also very similar to Virtua Fighter's. Fighting Vipers does contain two tricky trophies however (Who needs armor? And Skirt Destroyer), but if you follow the methods detailed in the trophy guide you should nab them both in no time. Before we start - The Controls: Please grow acquainted with the following match-ups before you begin play: / = Combination punch (press repeatedly to initiate a three-hit combo) = Block = Kick / / = Single punch = Kick Walkthrough: I - Arcade Mode In this step, you’ll simply run through Arcade Mode to pick up the stage-related trophies. It's also advisable to play as 'Mahler' for his respective trophy, as well as aim for Perfect. Unlike Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers doesn’t take a strange turn in A.I difficulty midway through Arcade Mode, therefore you shouldn't have too much trouble at all. You're aiming for the following trophies during this step: Mahler Stage 1 Complete Stage 2 Complete Stage 3 Complete Stage 4 Complete Perfect II - Offline Versus Mode If you do not have two controllers you’ll have to try to earn the following trophies in Arcade Mode, however I’d recommend otherwise if you want to make things easier on yourself. In this step, we’ll be cleaning up all the leftover trophies that are simply easier with a second controller: Wall Breaker Armor Destroyer Who needs armor? III - Clean-Up Finally, it’s time to pick up the remaining Mode-related trophies, which shouldn't take much time at all. The trophies regarding Candy (better known as Honey) and her armour, may cause a little grief, but with the correct amount of patience and dedication however, they are easily doable. You're aiming for the following trophies in this last step: Ranking Mode Random Mode Kids Mode Skirt Destroyer Class of ‘95 Sweet Tooth Edited April 3, 2020 by Slamma Restore missing images
Fubzy
http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/D0F.jpg Stage 1 Complete Complete Stage 1 of Arcade Mode (any difficulty) Simply complete the first stage and this trophy will unlock. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/BA4.jpg Stage 2 Complete Complete Stage 2 of Arcade Mode (any difficulty) Simply complete the second stage and this trophy will unlock. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/074.jpg Stage 3 Complete Complete Stage 3 of Arcade Mode (any difficulty) Simply complete the third stage and this trophy will unlock. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/8ED.jpg Stage 4 Complete Complete Stage 4 of Arcade Mode (any difficulty) Simply complete the fourth stage and this trophy will unlock. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/DB4.jpg Perfect Win a round without receiving any damage in Arcade Mode (any difficulty) This may seem daunting to you at first, however with the correct preparations it can be made much more simple. If you follow the recommendation of playing as Mahler in your first Arcade Mode run, you’ll find he has quite a spam-worthy selection of combos (namely his http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR :triangle: move) which can finish the round in seconds. This is most easily achieved in Round 2 against Grace, as she can be quite a weak opponent. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/CAC.jpg Ranking Mode Play Ranking Mode in Arcade Mode (hold down P+K+D+START button during Attract Mode) First, you’ll need to enter Attract Mode. When choosing your pre-Arcade Mode settings, press before confirming these settings and Attract Mode will initiate (the embu for Fighting Vipers will play). Anytime during the embu, press , and , then finally and Ranking Mode will begin. You can play Ranking Mode if you wish, however it is not a necessity for the trophy. Simply lose the first round, a certificate with your character’s statistics will show and the trophy will unlock. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/D06.jpg Random Mode Hold ↑ and hit START button during Attract Mode in Arcade Mode Just like for the Ranking Mode trophy press when confirming your pre-Arcade Mode settings and you will enter Attract Mode. This time, hold the http://bit.ly/1QFszPh button and press . Choose a character at character select and when the first round begins the trophy will unlock. Fubzy
http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/81D.jpg Kids Mode Select game settings in Arcade Mode or Offline Versus while holding L1 button+R1 button to activate Kids Mode This time, press and when determining your pre-Arcade Mode settings and Kids Mode will initiate, a mode in which all the characters will have higher voices with significantly changed models. Within the first round, the trophy will unlock. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/AC1.jpg Wall Breaker Destroy a stage wall in Arcade Mode or Offline Versus This can easily be obtained in Arcade Mode whilst playing through it for your first time as Mahler. When an opponent’s health is nearly gone, back them up to a wall and perform a strong combo (with Mahler, http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR :triangle: will suffice) and the opponent will burst through the arena cage walls, ending the round in the process. This is most easily earned during Stage 3, in the fight against Picky, as the arena is a lot tighter than the other stages. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/7C1.jpg Armor Destroyer Break an opponent's armor in Arcade Mode or Offline Versus This is most easily earned in Offline Versus. Set a match with 3 rounds, 30 seconds. Play as any character against someone wearing armour (Grace, Picky or Candy for example). Playing as Candy and using her :triangle: combination is effective. Eventually, you'll see the armour body next to their health bar and name, slowly flashing in some areas. Continue to attack with the same move and by the end of the third round, the armour should break off completely. Using a jump kick next to a wall is also an effective method, as the armour almost always breaks off when a 'Wall Break' occurs. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/DDA.jpg Who needs armor? Unequip armor in Arcade Mode or Offline Versus (quickly input →←→←+P+K+D) Please refer to Skirt Destroyer. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/315.jpg Mahler Use Mahler in Arcade Mode or Offline Versus (move cursor left of Grace during character selection) Highlight Grace in the character select screen then press http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q once. Mahler will then be highlighted, confirm and in the first round the trophy will unlock. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/D00.jpg Skirt Destroyer As Candy unequip armor each Arcade stg or break her lower armor after 10 straight wins in Offline VS This can be a tricky trophy, the commands must be quickly inputted to meet the requirements needed for un-equipping armour. Note also that this can be done at any part of the match; it doesn't have to be the beginning. The inputs are: http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q http://bit.ly/1lGwKgR http://bit.ly/1lGwH4Q (the last three inputs can be substituted with if you wish) You have to press the above very quickly, this is quite doable for most, however new players and maybe even veterans could have some difficulty. Thankfully, doing the latter option of the trophy description (10 Offline Versus and destroying your own skirt) is much easier if you follow the method below. It may seem a bit tricky, but a little practice can go a long way. Note that if your character's upper armour breaks and the lower doesn't, the trophy will still unlock. Go into Offline Versus Mode, set the Time Limit to 90 seconds and have a total of 3 rounds. Have both controllers play as Candy. Work towards getting the 10 wins out of the way, whilst doing this also grow accustomed to the following movesets: http://bit.ly/1IcZtPa > quickly press :circle: > > / can be used as well, and is the easier alternative For the first round, focus on using the former combination. Continue to do so until the opponent’s lower armour is weak (the dummy picture next to their health bar signifies this). Near the beginning of the second round, start using the latter combination so that you begin to break the upper body armour (while this is not a requirement for the trophy, it seems that if you do not, the armour as a whole does not break at all later). At the end of the second round or the beginning of the third round, both the upper and lower body armour should be flashing red on the dummy picture. Lower the opponent’s health to roughly 15%, and finally use the latter combination once more on the opponent against the wall. Doing so should break both the upper and lower body, thus fulfilling the trophy requirements. The trophy should unlock moments after. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/BDD.jpg Class of '95 Select game settings in Arcade Mode while holding the □ button to enter Attract Mode The description says it all, when choosing the pre-Arcade Mode settings, simply hold before confirming and Attract Mode will begin. http://www.playstationtrophies.org/images/trophies/1825/47C.jpg Sweet Tooth Select game settings in Arcade Mode while holding ↑ to unlock Candy's appearance in 2nd Attract Mode Once again, in the pre-Arcade Mode settings, this time press and hold http://bit.ly/1QFszPh before confirming and keep holding the button. It will play the Fighting Vipers embu, two character demos and then finally a second, alternate embu, during which the trophy will unlock. Edited February 10, 2016 by Terminator Fixed typo. Button inputs are a bit different in Fighting Vipers/Virtua Fighter. Will add them to all three guides shortly
Keep99
One additional remark from my end: Who needs armor? Can be performed at ANY time during a fight. It is not a must to do that at the beginning of a fight. It was mentioned couple of times that this will only work at the start of a fight. That is not true. Knowing this, will make the Skirt Destroyer alot easier!! Hope this helps

Walt the Dog
I have two things about "Skirt Destroyer" 1. You may want to mention that the armor break code can also be used in Offline Versus so you don't have to get used to the combos if you can do the code properly. 2. I found that instead of using > > for the second round, you can also break her upper armor by using while she's against a wall to kick her in the air during the second and third rounds. I did this against P2 multiple times and it destroyed all of her armor every time (after reaching the 10 win streak, that is).

The one used for "Who needs armor?". 2. You're welcome. You may want to add that this is easier to while she's against a wall since there is a good chance that you'll get two or possibly even three or four kicks in one knock down, speeding up the process. Also, for "Perfect," just as in the other two AM2 games, you can get it with two controllers by having P2 press start in the match, selecting a character for P2, and then beating the crap out of P2. Had the description simply using the terms 'former' and 'latter' combos for that, which details wall-hits anyway, so that's all done Actually meant to add that, thought of it the other day. Thanks for reminding me, will add it now :3 (Might I add, I adore your signature >.<)

Ichikyo
Another method while using Offline Versus for "Skirt Destroyer" method while using 2 Candy is to spam Punch Button (Triangle) until you put your opponent near the wall, then the Third Punch Button will become a Grab button in which Candy grab the opponent and push it against the wall. Doing this should put the whole Oponent armor into Red condition around the second round.

Stardust Justice
A VERY EASY method for "Skirt Destroyer" in offline versus is to play Candy, then after the 10 wins in row input -> <- -> <- L2 to unequip your armor. You'll get "Skirt Destroyer" and "Who needs armor" I have tested this myself and it does work. Cheers:dance:
