wolfish426
i was wondering if i were to do the main quest line up to and including American Dream, and when i get to the citadel, can i still leave the main questline and finish up rest of trophies and side quests etc? or am i stuck now finishing the main questline? Magnum700
Yep you can just leave the main quests and do whatever you want. Don't go into the main room in the memorial because you can't leave. Once you reach there, just leave. Come back there every 72 hours and the enemies respawn. Good source of income. I hope this answers your question
Doomofsteel
On one of my first playthroughs before the DLCs were released I had left the group of scientists at the door to the memorial and went off to do more side quests. I will say though that when I did that I ended up having to deal with vertibirds unloading enclave soldiers all the time when I was trying to walk through the wasteland. When I play the game I like to do the sidequests right before I go down into Vault 112, seems to be the best spot before the last part of the main quest really takes off. Joe2794
You can leave the main quest at any time really, but I would recommend downloading the Broken Steel DLC. It allows you to continue the game after you finish the main quest, rather than having to explore without the main quest finished.
