Overview:

Introduction :

Welcome to Elemental Monsters -Online Card Game-! Here, you start your adventure in the Continent of Aldo. The Demon King has escaped his card imprisonment and it is your quest as a Master to reseal him and restore the land to how it was. If trapping Demon Kings in cards isn't your forte, you can head over to the multiplayer section of the game and take on the world and friends in 3 different game modes, spanning from ranked matches to 2 day tournaments. Use the vast variety of monsters and power ups to conquer them all!

Note: If you have not played this game and do not want to waste money: THIS IS NOT THE GAME FOR YOU.

In the online mode, you use tickets to battle against other players. You start with 10 tickets and 1 is used every time you are matched up with someone.

You will, however, be able to get a decent amount of trophies from SP alone. So if 100% isn't a main virtue for you, go for it as the game itself is only 99 cents.

Tickets are now up.

4 tickets = .99

21 tickets = 4.99

45 tickets = 9.99

100 tickets = 19.99

(Special thanks to PuppetShoJustice for the prices)

With that said, prepare for a long and exhausting haul in the multiplayer mode. I'll explain that in a bit.

Step 1: Single Player

First, go through the single player mode to get a feel for the game and get some cards for online. If you have the extra money buy some booster packs. It won't kill you and they help. SP mode consists of 10 chapters that span from the smoldering city of Serpentis, to the gleaming Elven land of Leonis in your quest to reseal the Demon King.

Step 2: 100 Man Battle

Welcome to the masochistic 100-man survival battle. I highly suggest getting this out of the way before moving on to multiplayer for a few reasons.

1) This is by far the most annoying + time consuming trophy and will get you some good cards in the process as you have a high chance of hitting a Legendary card. (thanks to PuppetShoJustice for the tip)

2) These cards will greatly help in your online portion of the game seeing as Japan has had this game for over a year and will most likely be better than any of us.

3) This is good practice, as the people that play online are not as forgiving as the CPU.

Step 3: Multiplayer / Clean-Up

In this step you'll be getting your 100 ranked wins and any other trophies you may have missed. This will probably be the longest part so get ready to hate this game. Here you will mainly focus on winning matches. By now you should know how the game works and how to get a tactical advantage with your deck sets. After winning 100 ranked matches you will most likely have every other online trophy. Good luck!

Obtain Dark Jewel in Singleplayer Mode.

Story-lined cannot be missed.

This is the 4th jewel you get. Below is a list of chapters and what cards they use.

[1] Warsat- (tutorials) They use a mixture of cards but don't worry too much about here. It's only the tutorials and won't take much effort to complete.

[2]Serpentis- Serpentis is big on fire cards, but they (along with every other chapter) don't use fire cards exclusively. Keep that in mind when building your decks.) Use water or ice to win easily.

[3]Hydrae- Hydrae is big on water elements. Use grass cards to win easily.

[4]Witch's Abode- The enemies here commonly use dark elements with a slight mixture of light elements. Use the same rules to win easily.

[5]Leonis- Leonis use grass elements. Use fire to quickly get through this chapter.

A few more tips on easily winning:

- NEVER use only one element type. Your enemies use a mixture of elements and so should you!

- Have a good starter lead into your main build. One example of this would be the Ogre deck:

[spoiler=ogre1]

Field Element: Fire

Formation: Separate

Cards: Left Side--- Right side

(top) Goblin Knight--- Ogre

(Flip) Ruby Knight--- Wind Sword Zephyrus

Tactic:

-Summon Goblin Knight. His Agility will be raised to 40 and his Attack to 30.

-Use him to take out as much of the enemies cards as you can.

-When he dies, Ruby Knights flip skill will cast 25 damage on the enemies active card.

-Summon Ogre.

-Use Ogre as your sandbag. He has a large amount of health, and stronge attacks.

-When Ogre dies, summon Ruby Knight.

-Use Wind Sword Zephyrus' SP Skill to increase Ruby Knights Attack by 10.

-Finish the battle with Ruby Knight.

-Use Separate formation. It gives you less cards, but drastically increases their stats.

Conduct Card Fusion once.

Card fusion can only be performed at the Witch's Abode. After beating the final stage (4-6) it will unlock and is located at the top of the battle trail. In order to perform card fusion you first need multiple copies of that card. Usually ranging from 4 or 5. Once you have that, visit the fusion cauldron and select the card you want to fuse (make stronger).

Simple enough. Play your first multiplayer battle and the trophy will pop during the results screen.

Exceed 100 cards.

Cards are earned by winning in single player or competing online. You gain 10 cards for winning your first battle in the tutorial so you only need 90 more. You get 1 card for every win you get. You can get 90 wins offline, 90 wins online, or a mixture of both.

Note: if you have money to spend you can buy booster packs to increase this process.

2nd Note: Duplicates DO add to the count (thanks to PuppetShoJustice for the tip).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/869/03.jpgDragon Masterhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Acquire Expansion Pack, Legendary Dragon.

You can get this one of few ways. The quickest being to go into multiplayer and play a match. Regardless of winning or losing you will be given all packs to choose a card from (only 1 can be selected). Simply choose the Legendary Dragons pack for a quick easy silver. Another method of getting this would be to get to stage 50 of the 100-man-battle (stage 11-1). (credit to PuppetShoJustice for the tip)

Note that you can buy the Legendary Dragons booster pack off the PS Store and still receive the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/869/03.jpgLegendary Cardhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Acquire one card of Legendary rarity.

This is one of the most annoying trophies in the game. Getting a Legendary card is not hard. It just involves a lot of luck. Legendary is the highest rank card and are scarce. Their are 3 you can get in single player by constantly choosing the Otherworldly Visitors pack. But your chances at Rare and Legendary cards are greatly increased by playing online.

Note: Getting a Legendary from a booster pack will still pop the trophy.

Win 100 battles.

Simply win 100 battles across game modes. You'll have this by the time you get Professional. For a quick method, check the spoiler below.

[spoiler=100win]Go to stage 1-1. His only card is a Gold Slime. Use a dark element card for a 1hk + win.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/869/03.jpgScholarhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Obtain 50 different titles.

See Title Collector.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/869/03.jpgLegendary Masterhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_silver.png

Defeat the Demon King in Singleplayer Mode.

This will pop when you defeat the Demon King for good in stage 10-6. Read the tips given above and the ones below for help.

[spoiler=demon]

  • There's no easy way around this fight. His cards have a lot of health and they hit. Hard.
  • One of his biggest cards, and the one you should focus on getting out of the way as fast as possible, is the Imperfect. This card can change the tide of the battle in a heartbeat.
  • My method on taking it out is to use the Goblin Knight as a first card. It's fast and it's attack does a good amount of damage. If the Goblin Knight dies I send out my strongest card and finish the Imperfect off.
  • Light element cards are great to use against him, so long as they can survive the Imperfects Dark element attacks. Using Light will give you both an advantage and a disadvantage as Light and Dark do 2x damage to each other.

Become Class 100

You rank up by winning or losing in online ranked matches. (winning of course gives you more EXP). You SHOULD have this by the time you get your 100 ranked wins. (See Professional for information on Tickets.)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/trophies/869/04.jpgVeteranhttp://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/../images/site/icons/trophy_gold.png

Win 100 consecutive battles

This is by far the hardest and most time consuming trophy in the game. Depending on how the enemies get set up, it could either be a breeze or a F:whistle:KING nightmare! To obtain this trophy you must complete stage 11-1, the 100 man battle. Enemies decks are randomly generated so don't expect to breeze through this.

Tips:

  • Use light elements, if you'd like, as nothing is specifically strong against it (except Dark elements.)
  • If you see you're losing, quit out of the game via XMB before the battle is over, and try again.
  • Make A LOT of decks befoe heading in. If you're losing a match you can quit through XMB and try again with a different card deck. (credit to PuppetShoJustice)
  • Make sure to click the Suspend option after each fight so the game saves your hard work and progress. (credit to dufftech)

Win 100 battles in the Ranking Match.

If you want this trophy I hope you're the patient type. As if winning 100 battles wasn't bad enough, the online is dead, so make sure to visit the boosting thread.

Tickets are now available on the US Store.

The other way to get Tickets for free is to compete in Tournaments. Tournaments span the length of 2 days, and not just anyone gets the Tickets. The top 85% get 5 tickets and the top 40% get 7 tickets. ON TOP OF THAT you only get to compete in 10 battles. So pray you win or visit the boosting thread above. Other than that, all I can say is to do this last. You will have more cards for your decks which you will really need. Especislly if you're matched up with someone from Asia. They've had the game for a year and can destroy you in a matter of minutes.

This is the last single player trophy you'll earn. Simply complete all 11 chapters and this trophy is yours.

If you complete all missions in order, this will follow right after Veteran.

You can actually get the Dragon Master trophy without touching multi-player. Getting to at least match 50 in the 100 Games level in single player will award you a Legendary Dragons booster when you lose. If you beat all 100 levels you apparently get 3 boosters from that set.

Not a practical way to get the trophy compared to just playing a ticket battle and opening a Legendary Dragons by choice. But since you're going to have to clear that stage anyways for the consecutive wins trophy; it's relevant.

Note that for the 100 wins trophy you can pick your deck from any of your deck pages. So if you get to say, Round 30, and you get absolutely destroyed by the enemy's deck, you can quit out before the match is over, reload, and pick a deck that will trump the enemy's. Once the enemy's deck for any given round is determined it won't change no matter how many times you forcibly quit the game and reload that particular match. So having a bunch of different decks handy is super, super helpful. I made 9 decks before I decided to try to take that stage down.

Also. I might be crazy. But I think there is a chance that the circumstances surrounding your boosters influence what you draw. I drew ALL my legendary cards in World 11 of single player and I've played very few games there. I've also drawn about 5 blue dragons, 1 red dragon, and 2 green dragons there. Which is pretty nuts compared to my luck drawing Otherworldly Visitor packs everywhere else in the game.

Again; this might just be dumb luck. But I felt it at least worth mention.

I doubt that is dumb luck. If it is you need to head to Vegas ASAP. :)

I would verify but I can't beat any of the stages in 11 yet. Should be able to tonight and will report back.

Good first guide however I'd like to make a couple comments not by content but by appearance. Don't take my comments as ... rude but more so like suggestions to make it better.

1) The guide would look alot cleaner if you posted the roadmap without the spoiler and as a standalone post in post 1.

2) Please take a look at your bbcoding as i am getting broken and repeated image links on my side of the screen as they appear like this :

http://i56.tinypic.com/2qd0exi.jpg

I decided to quote your post to see what the coding looks like and you have multiple IMG files there, you might want to do alittle clean up.

http://i54.tinypic.com/14l11lf.jpg

2.5) Within your IMG links and the name of each trophy you are linked to the main site which isn't necessary within the forum guide as it takes characters in each post, highlight your post(s) and use the unlink tool in your tool box to unlink them all from the main site. The unlink tool is this icon within the tool box http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/images/PS3T2/editor/unlink.gif.

3) You are missing the trophy icons on each trophy, before you add them make sure you are using the smiley shortcut opposed to the full image link. You can view the shortcuts here.

If you have any questions in regards to the BBcoding please refer to the BBCode 101 thread in the FAQ. Congrats on the first guide.

It might be the web browser you are using, it used to be like that for me too until I compared the appearance on multiple browsers. Im currently using Google Chrome and I have Firefox and IE as well on my computer to compare my coding if I need to. I'm pretty sure one of them hides the broken image links so that they don't appear on your side however the coding is still in there and will appear on others.

I got 2 titles for beating the 100 Wins level and that unlocked the Title Collection trophy for me. I'm very low Class but I do think I have a Ranked Match title or two. But it looks like you can get the title trophy as low as, like, Class 15. Assuming you defeat the entire Single Player game.

Edit: Just realized there are 2 title collection trophies. Time to grind my arse off for the other one.

The 100 wins level can pretty much bite me. I had another player tell me its nonsense to buy Legendary Dragon packs from the PSN Store since you can just get what you want from doing the reset on Round 100 until you get 3 packs that you really like but, man. I just don't have the time or patience. I'd sooner just throw down the five bucks on a booster box than ever have to beat 11-1 again.

I did pull one Legendary rarity card from my third pack so I really didn't want to bother trying to push my luck further than that.

On a random note; it does seem like this game is starting to get a bit more popular. It seems easier to find a battle opponents this week than it did last.

The runner up in the top 85% will always get 5 tickets from all the tournaments so far. But the top 40% prize is always different, and so are the rules of the game and how many battles you compete in. But as Puppet has said. The game has picked up greatly which was expected since it is a $.99 plat. But as I've said before in another thread, participating in the tournament will easily get you into the top 85% bracket unless you force quit out of the game and get 0 points. I've had 3 accounts so far with nothing but surrendered losses that have ranked 70-80% each time at the end of the tourny. That may change, but I doubt it as the game is growing each day.

Please dont take this as an attack but this guide seriously needs to be updated with the following information.

This game will take 1000+ hours to platinum. You wont unlock the 100 titles gold trophy and 30 different avatars gold trophies until you reach around class (level) 400. This is not an easy platinum or a .99 platinum. Sure you could platinum this game using only .99 but it would take you YEARS to do it just grinding off the free tickets you could win weekly. Yes YEARS. There is no way this game can be platinumed in any less time by not buying tickets.

The last two trophies you will get in this game will be the 2 gold trophies i mentiond above Title collector and Avatar Collector. As you reach higher levels around level 40 i think you are only awarded 1 title OR avatar every 5 levels you level up. I am at class (level) 65 with only 14 Avatars unlocked and 52 titles unlocked. I have over 125 hours so far in the game and i have 89wins. I am now on my 3rd pack of tickets. I buy the 19.99 100 pack. So yes im on 300 tickets so far. Get the idea.

I have beaten the top 3 players in the world. MrBUSHIDO-Kizuna and I match up often. Just look at the leaderboards and you will know who he is.To give you an idea he is class (level) 320 with 2.7 million experience and almost 1 thousand wins. He is ranked 3rd. There is only 2 people in the world who has the platinum and thats number 1 and 2 YujiKAI and adon56. You can only play this game while online while connected to psn. Your wins stats etc update almost instant. Thus providing us accurate info on trophies etc on the players.

People seem to think that once you reach level 100 or get 100 wins thats around the end of the game. That couldnt be much further from the truth then President Obama promising change. I just dont wont people to keep getting the idea that this is a cheap, easy and quick platinum. This takes alot of skill and time to do.

Even if you think your a good player you can still lose on luck. You cant boost matches or wins etc. Point being if you dont want to sink alot of time and money into this game then move on or you will have an incomplete game on your list. Some people dont like having incomplete games on there trophy list. So beware! Excuse my spelling its late.
