Roadmap

Introduction:

It's time to get off the couch and get yourself in shape! EA Sports Active 2.0 brings an in-gym workout and personal trainer into your living room to turn that flab into fab (sorry, that was bad). With the help of heart rate monitor and leg/arm sensors, EA Sports Active 2.0 monitors your movements and your bodies overall calorie burning while putting yourself on screen with the trainer doing the exercises. The game allows you to follow a number of preset workout programs, can create a custom tailored one to your needs or allows you to set your own custom one with the exercises you want to do. Trophy wise, everything is pretty straight forward and relates to the different options available to help maximize your workouts, as well as ones designed for specific exercises. While none of them are very difficult, they will take time to complete as most of the accumulative trophies require a rather high number of time invested to complete them.

Walkthrough

There are 3 main areas that you will want to focus on during the game and they can be done simultaneously with each other:

Area 1 - 9 Week 3 Phase & Cadio Kick Start Programs:

There are 4 trophies related specifically to these 2 programs, but there are a ton of other ones that can and will be obtained during them as well. Over the course of the two programs, you will be well over 100 different workouts and an insane amount of exercises before all is said and done. While completing these, you will pretty much get all the requirements for the calories burned, time spent, workouts completed, exercises completed and program related trophies, as well have a very good headstart on all the exercise accumulative trophies. For those reason, this is why you will want to start one of these off immediately and switch to the other after you complete the first as they is also the most time consuming!

Area 2 - Exercise Specific Accumulation Trophies:

There is a good number of trophies that relate to completing a certain number of miles traveled or activities done within different exercises. While you will get a pretty good chunk of what is required of them from doing the programs mentioned in Area 1, it will not get you all the way with them. For that reason, it is a good idea to work on these while you're doing the programs, either after completing that day's scheduled workout or on an off day. Just work on them as you can and build them up slowly but surely with the help of the program.

Area 3 - Misc Trophies:

There are a handful of trophies that are not related to either of the first 2 parts above. Most are extremely easy and require you to navagate the other options available in the game to help maximize your workouts. You will want to aim to complete these in between your currently selected program's scheduled workouts and going after the exercise related trophies. As stated, most are easy and can actually be obtained one your very first day with little to no effort, so try to get them out of the way as quickly as possible.

You can approach the game however you wish as I said, but if you wish to maximize your time and lower the amount of repetativeness or doing things more than once, this is how I would try to do things. While the main goal of this roadmap is to give you a direct line to trophies and try to help you require them quickly, just remember not to push yourself too hard or over exert yourself just to get a trophy. Do only what you can physically do and then take a break and either come back later for a little bit or the following day!

Complete 5 scheduled workouts in a row

*Missable Trophy*

Just as the description says, you have to complete 5 scheduled workouts in a row without missing one. You should get this while going for the "Program Trophies" as they are all scheduled workouts. Just make sure that you do 5 of them in a row without missing a day and after you complete the 5th one, the trophy will pop!

Complete a Fitness Program without missing a workout

*Missable Trophy*

You need to just finish either of the programs that has scheduled workouts, and not miss a single day during it. It's probably easiest to do this while going after the "Program Trophies" as you need to complete all the workouts for it anyways, just make sure you don't miss any of the days during it. This is obviously easier with the Cardio Kickstart Program since it is a shorter program. Once you complete your selected program and completed every day without missing a workout, the trophy will pop!

The calories you burn is recorded and saved after every workout/exercise you complete. You need to accumulate a total of 10000 calories burned over time for this trophy. If you are going after the "Program Trophies", then by the end of the 9 week program, you should have burned enough calories to meet this requirement (or be very close to it). Just keep doing different workouts/exercises until you hit your 10000th calorie burned and the trophy will pop after you do!

You need to accumulate a total of 100 workouts completed over time for this trophy. If you are going after the "Program Trophies", then by the end of the 9 week program, you will have more than enough workouts needed to meet this requirement. (You should get it right near the end of Phase 3). You can also get this by creating custom workouts of only one exercise and doing it over and over again until you reach 100 workouts completed. Either way, once you finish your 100th workout, the trophy will pop!

Either way, once you finish your 50th unique exercise, the trophy will pop!

But you can also do it by doing other workouts or creating custom ones for yourself as well. Whichever way you choose to do it, once you finish your 101st exercise, the trophy will pop!

You must complete the preset number of required actions for each of the accumulative exercise trophies. While working on your "Program Trophies", you will get a nice chunk towards the final requirements, but not the entire amount needed. To get the rest, the easiest way is to create a custom workout and only selecting to do whichever one you are aiming at going after at that time. Just keep completing the workout/exercise and then repeating it for as long as you can (obviously don't over-do it just to get the trophies). Everything accumulates over time, so you change it up and select different ones to break things up and/or give yourself a break from some of the harder ones if you get tired. If you want to see how you are doing towards a certain trophy, then go to the Main Menu & select Journal, then Fitness Tools & finally My Milestones. It will show slider bars next to each of the different catagories. Once you finally complete the required number of excercise attempts/distance, the trophy will pop for that specific one!

Misc Trophies

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/437/40.jpg Ready to go! http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Set up your EA SPORTS Active 2 profile

This will be the first trophy that you get as you need to setup your EA Sports Active 2 profile before you can start the game. Just follow the menu prompts entering all the information it asks and when it is completed, the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/437/13.jpg GOAL! http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Complete 1 goal with 100% completion

You need to complete one of your Personal Goals to 100% for this trophy. When you first start your game, you will be given a list of 3 possible Personal Goals to do (normally it's Workouts Completed, Exercise Time, & Calories Burned). The easiest out of the three to get to 100% is the Workouts Completed as you only need to do 4. To do this quickly, at the main menu select "My Workouts", then choose to workout alone or with someone else, and then select "Create Custom Workout". Choose one exercise to do (the Warm Ups are the easiest) and then start your work out. Complete the entire exercise to complete the work out, go back to the main menu and repeat the previous steps 3 more times. After you finish the 4th work out, you should have 100% in your Workouts Completed goal bar and the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/437/22.jpg Goal Getter http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Complete 3 goals with over 80% completion

You need to complete your 3 Personal Goals to at least 80% for this trophy. When you first start your game, you will be given a list of 3 possible Personal Goals to do: normally it's Workouts Completed, Exercise Time, & Calories Burned. Here is what you should need to get to 80% in each:

  • Workouts Complete: You must complete 4 Workouts (4/4 = 100%)
  • Exercise Time: You must complete 96 minutes worth of Workouts (96/120 minutes = 80%)
  • Burn Calories: You must burn at least 480 calories (480/600 = 80%)

You have 7 days in order to complete these so you can pace yourself over those days and a do a little each day (it resets each week). If you are going for the "Program Trophies", then you should get all 3 goals by the end of your first week if you start it on the first day and finish all 4 workouts. Once you get at least 80% on all 3 goals, the trophy will pop!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/437/25.jpg Workout Buddies http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/site/icons/trophy_bronze.png

Just create your own custom work out and complete it. To do this quickly, at the main menu select "My Workouts", then choose to workout with a friend, and then select "Create Custom Workout". You need to complete every exercise within a workout in order to get this one. You can do this easily by setting up a custom workout and choosing only one exercise if you want to, but you will get this while going after the "Program Trophies" as well, so it's up to you which way you want to do it. Once you complete a workout with 100%, the trophy will pop!

Select at least one activity and enter an amount of time that your spent doing it and complete the survey out. Each day you can complete a new survey, so make sure to do one every day for 5 days in a row. After you finsh the 5th one, the trophy will pop!

It's great to finally see an official guide for this great game/program. I'd just like to offer a few possible corrections/additions.

For the Fitness Pro trophy, you cannot get 100 workouts by doing a 9-week program alone as the guide's description states:

If you are going after the "Program Trophies", then by the end of the 9 week program, you will have more than enough workouts needed to meet this requirement (you should get it right near the end of Phase 3).

Without doing a lot of additional workouts on the side, one 9-week program only provides you with 36 workouts (9 weeks x 4 workouts/week). It may also be worth noting that doing the Fitness Tracker Report each week counts as one workout and only takes a few minutes.

I would also add to the guide that you should immediately start doing custom workouts that include lots of rounds of Fitness Trail Running (especially the Long versions of Sprint, Outrun, Follow the Leader). In my book, the Trail Blazer trophy is a major, major grid and the biggest impediment to getting the platinum (even more than Workout Buddies). I've completed the 3-week cardio kick start, have done several custom workouts, and am finishing week 2 of the 9-week program and I have fewer than 10 miles running so far...that's a long way to 621! For all the other "1000" this or that trophies, you seem to make quite a bit of progress naturally in the programs and may only need a little clean up at the end. (I'm shooting baskets on the side since I'm not seeing that in my program workouts.)

One other thing, for Goal Getter, more than one person in this forum, including myself, has reported not getting the trophy until they reached 100% (not 80%) in each category.

EDIT: I just checked my Milestones and have made even less progress in Mountain Boarding and Mountain Biking than in Trail Running, so I would recommend doing a lot of extra work on those in custom workouts as well.

I just finished Phase 3 of of the 9 week workout, and I didn't get the Perfect Attendance trophy. One of a few options occurs.

1. It will unlock later.

2. When Phase 2 told me I had missed workouts despite having 100%, it was counting the fitness tracker workouts.

2.a. The fitness tracker workouts count.

3. You are not, in fact, allowed to skip exercises.

I have the three week program ahead of me still, but I just thought I'd mention this.

Thinking about getting this, what are these sensors? I presume you get one with the game

 so would you have to look for one on ebay or somewhere to get another one?

From amazon:

The sensors are an innovative wireless control system powered by motion sensors in leg and arm straps that provide complete freedom of motion. Additionally, it will feature a heart rate monitor that provides constant on-screen monitoring, allowing users to capture intensity and optimize performance over time.

You can buy a set on ebay, though most on ebay require you get the game with it. Saw one the other day for 20 dollars.

Just so you guys know I did 7 workouts start to finish before going on my trip outta town. So I decided to try to finish the program the morning before I left. I unplugged the ethernet cable and started the workout. I did one exercise then quit. I chard the clock. And repeat ed this about 46 more times. I git all 3 phases trophies. But did not get perfect attendance.

My question is what did I miss? I didn't miss any workouts in the program but I didn't finish 100% on the workouts. Maybe that's it. I'll try again. In the cardio program.

From what I can see, you have to finish every single exercise in every single workout to get the perfect attendance trophy. You can't skip anything.

Yeah... I was wondering this as well. So far I haven't skipped anything so I should be good. But I have a couple questions regarding Perfect Attendance :

1. If I have scheduled workouts for M, T, W, Th... but this week I can't make it to a workout on Monday... Can I unplug the Ethernet cable change the system clock and then start the game to make it think it's Saturday?

2. Can I change my scheduled workouts half way through the program... like if I have M, T, W, Th... can I change the schedule to M, T, F, S after Phase 1? will that screw up the PA trophy?

Thanks in advance

Just go into HELP & SETTINGS and you can edit your workout days.

For example if your schedule has been M, T, W, Th for the past 3 weeks, on Sunday you could change it to Su, T, F, Sat if you wanted. You wouldnt have to change the system clock or anything. You could change the clock, but then you'd have to change it back later and that may mess things up down the road.

i didnt try to connect online after my date-changing experiment but during my initial setup i had to auto-correct the date on my ps3 just in order to get to the main menu. so you'd have to stay offline if using the date changing method.

Thanks man...

The date changing method knew might get a little screwy. So I was a little nervous to do that in the first place but just wanted to make sure.

The main concern I had was the change of scheduled workouts. But if you say that it's ok to change the days of work outs as long as I don't miss one then I may try that later. I know I'm going to come across a day where I won't be home and I don't want to blow the perfect attendance trophy.

Thanks again

how long do you spend on a workout in the 9 weeks program?

I'm intrested in doing this, but an hour a day might not be doable seeing as I don't always have time...

ow and when you finish the 9 week program how much time do you need to spend on doing the different exercises to get the plat? like it takes 100-120 hours to plat, how much of that is grinding it out and how much goes into the 9 week program?

thanks;)

answer to 1st part of the question.at 1 st 9 week programme starts around the 20 minute mark even on easy but on phase 3 its up to the 40 minute+ mark.

answer to second part is nobody knows as nobody as of the moment has platinum.let alone nobody has trail blazer, pedal power and shred it trophies according to ps3trophies.com's info.So its still a mystery.follow my sig trophy card it should be in top 3 games played for quite a while yet

edit even on your sig trophy card the trophies i mention are 0%

I am just about to start on the last 3 KILLER trophies, but I like the workouts so......(Actually I am 12 exercises form 100 workouts, but will have that way before getting these last 3 bronzes)

Here is a run down of the do/get 1000***, all exercises and the programs were done on Hard

**** 2-3% Completed While Doing the 9 Week and Cardio Kick Start on Hard****

Trail Blazer

Run 1000km/621.4 mi. in Fitness Trail

Pedal Power

Bike 1000km/621.4 mi. in Mountain Biking

Shred It

Board 1000km/621.4 mi. in Mountain Boarding

I will let you know how long it takes  but due to actually needing to move more on these I am yet to figure out how best to set up the exercises so as to warm up etc.

**** 20-25% Completed While Doing the 9 Week and Cardio Kick Start on Hard****

Brick Wall

Make 1000 saves in Soccer

Sharp Shooter

Make 1000 baskets in Basketball

For the above I created a custom program each containing 10 of the above exercises which at 10 x 24/22 reps so 240/220 per set respectivly for each set of 10 exercises. It takes approx 20 mins per set of 10 exercises so roughly 1 hour straight to knock out each trophy and you have to move a little for this so you start to feel it after a while. When you think you are close to completion just do 1 exercise at a time.

**** 30-35% Completed While Doing the 9 Week and Cardio Kick Start on Hard****

Push it to the Limit

Complete 1000 Pushups

Pumping Iron

Complete 1000 Arm Curls

For the above I created a custom program each containing 10 of the above exercises which at 10 x 15 reps = 150 reps per set each set of 10 takes approx 20 mins you can just do the motions with your arms so do not have to do the actual exercise unless you can and want to. When you think you are close to completion just do 1 exercise at a time.

Note: For arm curls I used the hammer curls exercise

**** 100% Completed While Doing the 9 Week and Cardio Kick Start on Hard****

In Order Of Completion

Golden Gloves

Throw 1000 punches in Cardio Boxing

Hot Stepper

Complete 1000 steps in Step Aerobics

Squat Master

Complete 1000 Squats

Lunge Expert

Complete 1000 Lunges

Thinking about getting this, what are these sensors? I presume you get one with the game

 so would you have to look for one on ebay or somewhere to get another one?

I purcahsed a second set from the store, opened it very carefully (of course the game remain sealed) simply started a warm up exercise which did not require the sensores to be used/held sweated on etc then simpy repacked and returned the them for a full refund. (check the shops return policy first)

The only thing to note was that the arm sesnor/heart monitor on the second set would not get detected so i could not do the workout after messing about for a while I tried the "rebind option" in settings and it then worked, not sure if this is common or was an issue because I was using 2 sets but just wanted to make ppl aware.

OK I started the last 3 trophies today, just for reference

Trail Blazer

I created a custom work out containing 10 x Fitness Trail Sprint (Long) on High

1 set of 10 of these exercises took approx 12 Mins and came in at

3.1 Miles

Pedal Power

I created a custom work out containing 10 x Mountain Biking on High

1 set of 10 of these exercises took approx 25 Mins and came in at

25 Miles

Shred It

I created a custom work out containing 10 x Mountain Boarding on High

1 set of 10 of these exercises took approx 26 Mins and came in at

13.5 Miles

After doing 4 x Trail and 1 each of the other 2 I noticed the green bars move but only a little. I actually hit X on them in the milstone menu to make them bigger and put a sheet of paper on my TV and marked them before I started so I had a reference point.

Anyway you can use the above info for a rough idea of what is involved trying to get these trophies. There is no easy way to do it, you can use minimal movements to allow you to use less energy and get more sets in but this will tire you out eventually and the time I takes sucks so I advise to proceed only if you want to get fit, as you could probably plat 10 other games in the time it will take for this. :/

There is an easier way to check your progress than looking at the green bars. Go to your online group and on the right hand side you'll see updates of what you or other members have done recently. For example if you do a custom exercise with a trail run, check the group menu after you've done it and it should display the exact # of miles you've spent running.

I've also tested the difference in distance between running on easy, normal or hard and the distance is the same. The only difference is that the runners you run with run slower or faster. So always set intensity to easy and distance to long.

I also have a custom workout that has 2x sprints + 2x outruns that i do whenever i have extra energy or am on the day before a rest day. in a month ive run about 30 miles.

no doubt about it = these distance trophies will each take months to earn. dont buy this game for trophies and don't even think about the multiplayer trophy until you have all the others.

These trophies are ridiculous. I will say though if you have something else to do, do it while grinding therese. For example, on my off days usa has a NCIS marathon. So I just watch those shows while working in the mileage. Still taking forever though. I'm halfway on biking and not even 1/4 though on the others. If I had another ps3 it would allow me to get easier games done as well
