Possibility of Glitched Trophies

Recommended Posts

Okay, I've played for game for a few hours and I was able to get a good ways in. I still have a little bit of time before Liu Bei's nation takes the country over, but we pretty much have control of the northern half (I'm in the Chi Bi time period).

Basically, I'm not sure whether or not the 'Double-Tongued' trophy is glitched or if I'm thinking of a different special tactic. I used this special tactic to cast doubt on Jiang Wei in another country, so he fled and I was able to pick him up a few rounds down the line.

Is that Slander? Or does slander just taunt a country into attacking you?

Ingenious Strategist didn't seem to be glitched for me. You just need to make sure all the activatable strats go off. My last one was pitfall, hadn't had someone trigger one yet. You also need to use all the Diplomacy strats. Didn't seem to need to be successful, but they all have to be used including Edict.

A few of the others are more random luck at times. For the Powerful Enemy one I'd suggest taking on Meng Hou in his house as a ruler since you WILL capture him at that point.

Did all that and still nothing, there's clearly some issues with the strategy trophy.

I can't say for sure that there isn't, but I don't know of any confirmed issues. I'm guessing you already had a list to check off, but just in case, there's a full list with details here.

But, here's a short delete/check-off list:

BRAVE----

Resolute Defense

Lightning Speed

Taunt [successfully]

Coercion

Shout Down [successfully?]

Immovable

Raid

Dragnet [successfully]

Peerless

WISE-----

Ambush [activated]

Base Fires

Persuasion [successfully?]

Pitfall [activated]

Rockslide

Inferno

Flood

Gust

Submerge

Edict [successfully?]

Fires of Chibi

KIND-----

Beast Escort

Phantom Troops

Fortitude

Petition [successfully?]

Bonds

Volunteer Army

Supply Lines

Frontline Recall

Submission

ORDERLY--

Lockup

Elite Unit

Rapid Return

Volley

Voice of Reason [successfully?]

Elite Cavalry

March

Iron Walls

Fire Arrows

Grand March

AFFLUENT-

Defensive Base

Treasure Base

Supply Depot

Sorcery

Catapult Base

Weapon Base

Eloquence [successfully?]

Modified Defensive Base

Dispatch Catapult

Modified Weapon Base

Modified Catapult Base

EVIL-----

Vilify

Thunderbolt

Confiscated

Mobilize

Pillage [activated]

Insult [successfully?]

Explosions

Poison Mist

Base Traps

Ultimate Might

The notes are mainly things I'm pretty sure you have to do (I'm not 100%, though. The last one I needed was the Frontline Recall, and by that time, I had already made sure I activated and successfully did everything).

[activated] - means you need it to be completed with a cutscene. For pillage, you actually have to take over a base after using it. For the others, you have to have an enemy fall for it for it to count.

[successfully] - means it has to be successful. If your wise fame isn't high enough and your Taunt fails, it probably didn't count.

[successfully?] - These are diplomacy stratagems. Some say they need to be successful, some say they don't.

I say, just in case, try for Fires of Chibi, and Frontline Recall first.

It's said that FoC can come to a Lv.9 Wise character, but I never tried it to see how it works. The other way is to do the Battle a Chibi scenario and do that scenario battle on Wei/Wu's side.

Frontline Recall is the one everyone has trouble with.

After that, I say cross-off or delete all the ones you do OFTEN, and work on doing the rest over again, just in case. It helps if you have your previous saves (I usually use a new save for each playthrough).

There may be some that you think you did, but may not have (especially in the Affluent ones, where there's normal and "Modified"), and if something happened and you didn't save or something, you can really only trust the ones you did often, or did recently.

If you clear the list and still don't have it (the achievement should pop almost right after the last one you did is completed--you shouldn't even have to finish the battle to get it), then it's definitely glitched.
