Roadmap:

This guide is written from the perspective of a DS3 user. Whichever control scheme you choose is completely up to you. The trophy set is pretty straightforward, the only downside is that there are a lot of easy but time consuming trophies. You'll have to create a total of 3 different character classes and clear the game with each different class. Unfortunately the game starts off with only the default Hero difficulty mode, meaning you'll have to replay the game over again with a character that you cleared the game with to reach the maximum level of 75 and to clear Legend difficulty mode. You'll also need to progress through the Story Acts to be able to unlock all the Side Quests that the game has to offer. Having said that, there are only two online/multiplayer trophies to worry about and the game isn't really popular and you might need to find co-op patterns or use spare controllers to get them. The way the game is laid out you'll be much better playing the story 4 times. I've outlined the best possible steps you should take below:

Step One - Begin Game as a Rogue:

For starters, begin the game starting as a Rogue. Rogues are the easiest class for starting players to learn the game. Rogues are very agile and can avoid attacks very easily. The aim of this playthrough is to focus on clearing all the Story Acts to beat the game to unlock Legend difficulty mode for your character's 2nd playthrough run. Feel free to consult my Game Walkthrough and Side Quests Guide while playing if you like. Once you successfully cleared the game your next task should be focused on finishing all the remaining Side Quests that you haven't completed or missed before you move on to Legend difficulty. Once all Side Quests have been completed in full you've unlocked the Devoted King (B) trophy then you can move on to Legend Mode.

Step Two - Legend Difficulty:

Now that you've completed the game once you'll have unlocked Legend difficulty Mode. You'll need to go through the game once again on Legend mode with the character that you cleared the game with in order to unlock the Legendary King (S) trophy. All your character's gear and status will carry over. While on this playthrough your character should finally reach the maximum level of 75 and should have over 10,000 in monster kills total. As for holding over 1 million gold on your character your going to have to grind gear and sell them to the merchants until you have over 1M in gold once you completed Legend. Refer to the Rich King (B) trophy description for more info.

Step Three - Warrior Speed Run:

Once you finished Legend Difficulty Mode. You can now move on to making another character class. So start your third playthrough as a Warrior. Warriors are very strong and can wear the game's best armor. While on this playthrough you'll want to just focus on clearing all the Story Acts.

Step Four - Mage Speed Run:

Once you beat the game as a Warrior. You can move on to creating your last character class. So start your final playthrough as a Mage. Mages are good at providing support magic such as protection fields or repulsing enemies. Once again, while on this playthrough you'll want to focus on clearing all the Story Acts. This playthrough should also reward you with The Ultimate King (S) trophy for beating the game with all 3 character classes.

Step Five - Multiplayer/Missed Trophies Mop Up:

If during the course of any of your playthroughs that you missed any trophies, now will be the time to clean them up. For the two Multiplayer trophies you'll have to kill both the Goblin King and the Final Boss: The Dark Queen/Dark Fairy with 2-4 players present. The Goblin King can be earned very quickly for he's the Boss fight at the end of Act 2. The Royal Heritage. You must kill the Goblin King with at least one multiplayer partner present. As for the game's final boss fight against the Dark Queen/Dark Fairy found in Act 12. The Dark Queen. You must have a full party of 4 multiplayer partners present when you defeat the final boss. Multiplayer trophies can be done with the use of spare controllers or either online co-op and will reward you with the League of Kings (B) and One For All (B) trophies.

Reach level 75 with one character.

This will come over the course of playing on Legend difficulty. Once you reach level 75, the trophy will pop.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/06.jpg League of Kings (B)

Kill the Goblin King with more than one player present.

This is a multiplayer trophy. To unlock this you must kill the Goblin King with more than one player present. The Goblin King is the final boss fight at the end of Act 2's: The Royal Heritage. You can use either a spare controller to go about doing this or by online co-op play. You can use the established co-op partners thread here to find partners.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/07.jpgOne For All (B)

Beat the final boss in a 4-player multiplayer game.

This is another multiplayer trophy. To unlock this you must kill the final boss: The Dark Queen/Dark Fairy in a 4-player multiplayer game. The Dark Queen/Dark Fairy is the final boss fight at the end of Act 12's: The Dark Queen. You can use either 3 extra spare controllers to go about doing this or by online co-op play. You can use the established co-op partners thread here to find partners. The trophy will unlock during the Credits.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/08.jpgPotion Addict (B)

Drink 200 potions with one character.

This will come over the course of playing for the game is very potion heavy. But you can unlock this at the very start of the game where you're introduced to potion dispensers. The best thing about this potion dispenser is that it only cost 1 gold for a potion. You should have over 200 gold on you if you searched everything. If not just transmute some items till you have over 200 gold. You can simply spam your first default skill attack by pressing the :square: button and then drink a potion at the same time by also pressing the :l1: button simultaneously. You can buy up to a total of 10 potions so you can get through 200 potions very quickly with this trick. This trick only cost 200 gold which is nothing, but there's no need to perform this quick trophy unlock method for it's a natural unlock trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/09.jpgRich King (B)

Earn 1,000,000 gold with one character.

This trophy is best earned while playing on Legend. To unlock this trophy one of your characters must be holding over 1,000,000 gold on him at one point. Some players claim to have unlock this trophy naturally by maxing out their rouges Treasure Finder skill and equipping Magic Find armor while playing Legend from start to finish. However, chances are that most players will finish the game with around 600-750k on average and will have to grind out the remaining gold by killing the final boss: The Dark Queen/Dark Fairy over and over again. Every time you kill her you get to collect her loot and the loot from the two treasure chests that spawn after she's dead. Collecting this loot altogether will add up to about 25.5k worth of gold every time you sell them to merchants. And since you're maxed out in level with some of the game's best gear at your disposal she'll be a cakewalk every time for it only takes 1-2 minutes to kill her, which isn't bad at all. Grinding her can take about 2-3 hours of your time due to the games long loading times, visiting potion dispensers for more potions, and visiting merchants to sell your loot that you farmed.

There's also a multiplayer Item Duplication trick for online use only that's very similar to Borderlands own item duplication trick that can be found here. Thanks to OWTLAW274 for making this discovery.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/10.jpgTyrant (B)

Kill 10,000 monsters with one character.

It has been reported that this trophy might not unlock on a character with over 10,000 kills since the leaderboard for that character can stop updating. If this happens to you, you can simply grind out the kills with another class character instead for the trophy to rightfully unlock. Thanks to ESYLD for the confirmation.

This will come over the course of playing on Legend. There's no need to grind this trophy. Simply kill over 10,000 monsters with one character. You can also keep track of how many kills you have by looking at the Best Monster Killer on the Leaderboards.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/11.jpgDestroyer (B)

Destroy 1,000 barrels with one character.

This will come over the course of playing the game. There's no need to grind this trophy. Simply destroy over 1,000 barrels with one character.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/12.jpgDevoted King (B)

Complete all quests on Hero difficulty.

These are both the story related quests and side quests that all must be completed on Hero difficulty. While traveling through the game, you'll encounter people who will give you quests to do. These people will all have a big white exclamation mark over their heads indicating that they have a side quest for you. All of these people will have only one quest except for one knight that will give you a second side quest. Once you finished your final quest your trophy will pop. Feel free to consult my Game Walkthrough and Side Quests Guide.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/13.jpgSkillful King (B)

Kill a boss only using skills (no basic attacks).

This is a very simple trophy. All you have to do is kill any boss in the game by only using skill attacks. My advice is to just spam your default skill attack on any boss that you encounter and then replenish your MP by drinking potions with :l1:. Just don't press the :cross: attack button while you're doing this.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/14.jpgBrutal King (B)

Kill a monster in a single blow.

This trophy will most likely be your first trophy in the game. Can be done as soon as you create a character and begin your adventure. All you have to do is simply kill a monster in a single blow and your trophy will pop. You'll probably earn it before you know what you did!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/16.jpgThe Warrior King (B)

Beat the game as a warrior.

Story related, cannot be missed! Simply beat the game as a warrior. Will unlock during the Credits.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/17.jpgThe Rogue King (B)

Beat the game as a rogue.

Story related, cannot be missed! Simply beat the game as a rogue. Will unlock during the Credits.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/18.jpgThe Mage King (B)

Beat the game as a mage.

Story related, cannot be missed! Simply beat the game as a mage. Will unlock during the Credits.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/15.jpgLegendary King (S)

Beat the game on Legend difficulty.

First you must have a character that has beaten the game to unlock Legend difficulty mode for that character. Once you unlocked Legend mode simply start a new game on Legend and beat the game again. Will unlock during the Credits.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/989/19.jpgThe Ultimate King (S)

Beat the game with all 3 character classes.

It has been reported that this trophy might not unlock for you despite beating the game with all 3 character classes. If this happens to you, simply reload an old character and kill the Final Boss again. Even a level 75 on Hero mode will do the trick and your trophy should pop as normal. Thanks to Blitzwing85 for the confirmation.

Story related, cannot be missed! Simply beat the game with all 3 character classes as a warrior, a rouge, and a mage. Will unlock during the Credits.

If you have multiple controllers you can avoid having to play through multiple times. As your primary character advances through the story, use your other controllers to load your secondary characters at key parts of the story (like when turning in main line quests). This keeps all your characters equal in terms of the story line. Once you reach the Dark Queen complete the quest three different times, once with each class as your primary character. This will net you the three class trophies and Ultimate King trophy.

Doing this will significantly cut down your play hours.

Thanks for that info. I'm going to try and test that out if I can restart my level 75 rouge character so I can speed run through. I only have one spare controller to test this on.

I'm doing it now on my second playthrough with warrior/mage(but it could be done on your first). You just have to make sure their quest journals stay current and match each others.

When you bring in the alternate character and your quest journals don't match up, you'll receive the on screen message "The host's current game progression does not match the progress of secondarycharactername. No quest updates will be saved."

That does work, but it cuts the levels of your two characters. I just had my mage loaded as the main then loaded my level 75 rouge to speed run through the end. I just had the mage die and killed everything with the rouge. :) You can rush to the big red X on your map since the level 75 character already done it before so you can see the whole map. Once I reached the boss or gates just disconnect your controller and player 2 will disconnect giving you game over. But you'll re-spawn by the potion dispenser that you last run past and all enemies will be dead. enter new area and repeat. This goes by really fast if you maxed of the rogues movement moves. Course the only downside is your Mage and Warrior will be very weak once you beat the game by doing this.

For the Skillfull King trophy, mini bosses will also work.

I'll copy what I posted on gamefaqs about it.

I got it on the first Cremator, as you're making your way out of the Royal Tomb. If you've passed that point, you could always start a new warrior just to get this trophy, it shouldn't take much time.

Go solo, make sure you have max potions and just keep spamming square or Slam. Use a potion when you're low on mana. Piece of cake ^_^

I'm sure it's just as easy with the other classes but I didn't try them; I had past that point with them before I read the description for that trophy.

that fire demon was a Boss and not a mini boss. I got the trophy for killing him with skills only because i knew to kill bosses with skills only for a trophy unlock. but thanks for the post.

I read about that happening and it only occurs during online play that I'm aware of. Plus you missing the warrior and mage trophies for beating the game if I'm not mistaken when the trophy unlocked for you? Because that does happen for this trophy on rare occasions with online play.

oh lol no i had warrior and mage trophies already (by doing the same method lol)

oh, then you still got it normal then as you unlocked the rouge trophy by joining your friend's game who was at the very end of the game and he killed the final boss for you enabling you to obtain the two trophies trophies. am I right? then no glitch there. that's a quick way to get the trophies though if the psn was back online.

Man... I'm glad you had this roadmap here, Blaze. Ultimate King was driving me bahooties. I had already beaten Legend with my first character (Rogue). I had also already beaten it with my warrior and mage and no trophy. I just now tried reloading my Rogue and beating the game... again. Got the trophy. By the by, I can't load my Rogue into Hero difficulty. Every time I try he's stuck in a black abyss of doom and can't go anywhere.

I had to beat the game again for my Ultimate King trophy as well. I just breezed through the final bosses like Superman in less than 36 secs on Hero. Not sure about getting stuck somewhere but the game froze on me twice while I was trying to beat the game with my warrior. Maybe you have to join someone's game or try joining one of your characters games to see if it changes the locations.

Great guide Blaze. The Roadmap is well done except that I would have listed the Skills & your recommendations for each class. I've found that re-allocating a character's attributes & skill points from that town NPC also resets the prerequisites for all the items in your inventory. I tested this @ max level for my warrior & my axe requirement shot up over 15 STR & END- in short, I could not wield it & never will as my character's at its highest level. Luckily, I pressed the PSN Home button & quit the game which didn't autosave my activity.

Adding a "Game Walkthrough and Side Quests" is a bit overkill for such a simple kill/fetch action RPG game, but apart from that & a listing on proper skill selections, your guide is well written & very thorough. Good job! :applause:

Thank you, Yes it's overkill to add the Game Walkthrough and Side Quest part to it but it's just there for an added bonus and also to see how many needs to be done or how long is the game Acts etc.

The skill three build is something players can spend there invest invest on and yes I recommend resetting your skills as you play for resetting skills can build a far better character. I think that deserves it's own thread really and not listed in the guide.

I saw in another thread you were asking for the Move Controls:

Menus:

:start: = Pause Menu

:select: = Character Menu

Twist Move Controller = Scroll Tabs

Scroll Vertically = Hold :trigger: + Tilt Move Controller Down or Up

:move: = Confirm

:circle: = Back

Field:

Aim and hold :trigger: = Move

Aim and :move: or shake slightly = Attack

:move: or shake slightly = Interact

:square:, :triangle:, or :circle: = Skills

:cross: = Potion

Tilt Move Controller Down = Fairy Spell

Twist Move Controller = Swap Weapon Set

Aim at mini-map and press :move: for two seconds and release = Mini-map

I agree on all accounts. Nice guide. I'd shrink the walkthrough and side quests sections with spoiler tags to clean up it up a bit. Describing future quests and such is kind of spoilerish so it would make sense to me. The info would still be there if people wanted to look. But maybe it's just me.
