Dragon's Dogma is an open world Japanese RPG that is filled with adventures and quests. It takes place in the land of Gransys, a land that needs a hero called the Arisen; a hero who's capable of rising up to defeat the Dragon and to make the land safe again from the dark time and pledges. Along the way, you'll experience the unique combat as you fully explore the open world, while slaying vicious beasts and creatures on your quest to slay the Dragon.

All the trophies in this game are fairly easy and straight forward; however, they will require time to obtain. Capcom wants the players to experience the riches and mysterious beasts of the world. This means you'll be spending time questing, traveling, gearing up, making gold, and killing creatures after creatures.

http://i.imgur.com/6IZFHSk.png

Step 1: Complete the adventure the first time

This is the first step in obtaining your platinum. The first thing you'll need to do is complete the prologue. Once the prologue is completed you'll unlock the story related trophy It Begins as you're taken to the character creation screen. Have fun in making your hero and do take note that gender really won't have a major impact on you. The only difference is males can carry more weight and are slightly stronger than a female and females can be faster than a male with slightly quicker stamina regain. These two things won't make a difference in your gameplay at all since you'll level up and making this difference not noticeable. However, some creatures in the game will become frenzy towards a female character making the creature even stronger to kill (Goblins and Ogres etc). Still, this will not be an issue as leveling and gearing up removes this issue overtime.

After creating your character which you'll be using for the remainder of the entire game, you'll begin your first playthrough primarily focusing on the main story quests. This will enable you to obtain almost all the story related trophies, but while playing through the story you'll be given certain choices. These choices will give you the option to either fight the ultimate fight of your life or to either walk away like a coward. These two things are really considered story related and walking away will act as a death. In other words, we advise that you always walk away from these major battles when given the option to. That way, you'll get the trophies related to walking away out of the way first because you'll be given the option to 'Retry' and fight the boss after the credits finished rolling.

Next thing that you'll need to keep in mind is the exploration trophies. You'll need to discover over 150 different locations for the The Explorer trophy. Don't worry about discovering all 150 on your first playthrough, as most of the locations are not accessible until your post game or either NG+. It's something that you'll unlock over time, so keep playing through the main story and quests while leveling and getting geared up. When on the world map, questing in dungeons, visiting/shopping in cities be sure to explore every single inch you can.

Thirdly, are the weapons and armor along with gold and quests. These things are major elements to your long term goal of obtaining the platinum. When it comes to weapons/armor try to gear up yourself first based on your current vocation. Then slowly gear up your pawn whenever you get the gold to gear them up. Usually it's best to give them the leftover equipment that your character doesn't need anymore; however, it might not be the case all the time depending on your vocations. Then there's the gold, which will be an issue on your character on the first few couple of hours. You'll need to take responsibility in managing your gold and obtaining/farming gold. When in need of quick gold you'll need to do some side quests from the Notice Boards etc. Another option is to always sell the low level weapons/armor that is no longer needed. Farming gold isn't necessary on your first playthrough, but if you got to do it then do it. We aren't referring to farming gold methods for the 10,000,000G trophy, which is a trophy you should be ignoring at the moment. There are plenty of methods to get small amounts of gold that will become natural to you as you play.

Finally, attempt to do as many notice board quests you possibly can. This will eliminate the time needed towards your NG+ playthrough making it significantly shorter. In other words, attempt to unlock the The Laborer trophy for completing 50 notice board quests on this playthrough and save The Hero for NG+.

Step 2: Complete the post game quests

This is the second step where you start your post game after you've completed the main storyline that Dragon's Dogma originally had to offer. You'll wake up back in Cassardis with the newly upgraded gear you've obtained from the wyrmfire (the Dragon Forged trophy) and will immediately receive another main quest called 'Warm Welcome', thus starting your post game. A few things have changed in the post playthrough which are the following:

  1. Gran Soren main district collapsed, which leaves a pitfall to the Everfall. Therefore certain locations have been relocated in the city, but shops are unaffected by this change.
  2. A new area will open, called ‘Everfall’. The Chambers in Everfall hold many fierce creatures and bosses. Many of these are trophy related.
  3. The following vicious beasts spawn around the world of Gransys:
    • Cockatrice - replaces the Griffin in southern Gran Soren
    • Drake - spawns in various areas of Gransys (weakest dragon type in game)
    • Giant Undead - on the road (Manamia Trail) by the Encampment
    • Goblins & Cyclops - Overtaken The Shadow Fort again
    • Gorechimera - on the Seabreeze Trail road
    • Grimgomblins - replaces the Goblins near Cassardis
    • Hellhounds - around Gran Soren city capital
    • Hydra - now spawns in the Frontier Caverns once you accept the 'A Challenge' quest found in Cassardis Notice Board
    • Wyrm - now spawns inside the Water God's temple

With those changes in mind, your new primary objective is to really complete the post game's main quests; however, we suggest farming a few new gear that is now available in the shops. The dragon forged gear isn't really good despite its states and effects. So you'll need gold to get the higher leveled weapons/armor for yourself and your main pawn. Refer to the The Coin Collector trophy description in order to learn how to farm millions of gold in a few hours. Also, if not done yet already, finish enlisting a large number of pawns for The Captain trophy. You'll need to hire/recruit at least 70 or more pawns in order for the trophy to unlock.

When ready, continue with the main quests again unlocking the remaining last story related trophies. You'll be given the option to fight the ultimate battle or to walk away like a coward again. Do the walking away first once again to get the Peace out of the way and to receive the 'Retry' screen. Now this time fight the final boss and get killed on purpose for the Servitude trophy and to receive the 'Retry' screen once again. Afterwards, kill the true final boss of the game for real this time and you'll get the story related trophies for doing so.

When the fight is over and you've killed the Seneschal (the true final boss). Sit on the throne of the chamber and you'll be able to visit different places of the world. Use the godsbane afterwards to start New Game +.

Step 3: Complete the adventure a second time (NG+) along with completing all pre-planned/non-notice board quests

This is the third step, where you'll need to complete the main adventure all over again for the The Ever-Turning Wheel trophy. When you truly completed the game (real credits) and have returned back to the main menu. Do the following in order to begin your NG+ playthrough:

  1. Kill the Seneschal
  2. Use the Godsbane (found in the inventory) and stab yourself
  3. Select Load Game at main menu
  4. Follow the instructions to start the NG+

In NG+ you'll notice the following changes:

  • There is no introduction prologue anymore; instead you'll start in Cassardis.
  • All your stats, items (found in the storage at an inn), equipment, NPC affinities all carries over from your last playthrough.
  • Everything you explored on the map and even dungeons remain discovered.
  • All vicious beasts and even bosses won't have their levels increased.
  • A Rift Stone now appears at Cassardis' beach which can take you right to the Ur-Dragon fight (great for farming levels).
  • Portcrystals are available for purchase (200,000G) at The Black Cat.
  • All previous portcrystals are still active where you last left them in the world.
  • New Quests are now available on Notice Boards.

With the changes all listed and in mind, you've been warned! There's no going back once you started your NG+. Still, you should know the point of no return and you're a real powerhouse now. Everything is the exact same thing and this playthrough is extremely much shorter due to that fact. While playing through the adventure a second time, be sure to complete all the pre-planned, non-notice board quests for The Hero trophy. The last few things you should do is kill the Ur-Dragon, which is now easily reachable on the beach of Cassardis and to defeated a drake, wyrm, and wyvern if you haven't kill these bosses before. Don't forget to visit any other locations that you're still missing such as entering the duke's manse for the Into the Manse trophy only available during the 'Arousing Suspicion' and 'Duchess in Distress' side-quests. Plus, help Madeleine open her shop in Gran Soren and dress a male party member in women's clothing to get the The Patron and A Queen's Regalia trophies. At the end of this step you should have obtained the platinum, if not then go to step 4.

Step 4: Clean the adventures and quests of any missing trophies (optional)

This step is completely optional and isn't necessary; however, if you did by a chance missed a few trophies or any quests during your first and second playthroughs. Then you'll need another playthrough to clean up any missed trophies such as 350+ weapons/armor or explorations etc. The beauty about this game is that you can start a NG+ an infinite number of times. This means you'll be doing a NG++ until you're 100% finished.

Completed the prologue.

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed. You'll unlock this trophy by completing the introduction at the Tainted Mountain Temple.

Main Story Quests:

  • The End at the Beginning

[spoiler=Taint]You'll begin the game as a basic Fighter along with a skilled companion. As the story begins, you'll be given a small explanation on how the game mechanics work such as using your inventory, light attacks, heavy attacks, etc. When ready continue through the tunnels and a dragon will breathe fire on you two. After holding it back by blocking with the :l1: button, kill the two goblins and drop down in the hole. Within the area you dropped down to is a glowing stone that will allow you to summon two more allies to fight along your side. With a larger party you can easily kill the goblins in the chambers. Eventually, a cutscene will trigger where armored men will open the gate and guide you through the tunnels. At the end of the section a Chimera will appear and devour one of the men.

http://i.imgur.com/IcD0K1O.jpg

Chimera's Attacks:

  • Back Kick
  • Leaping Attacks
  • Magick
  • Poisoning
  • Rolling Over
  • Staggering Roar
  • Striking Tail Attack

The Chimera is the first boss you face in the game and they are made up of the following three animals of a lion, goat, and serpent. There are plenty of ways to deal with this creature such as chasing after it and attacking it with light and heavy attacks along with some skill abilities thrown in the mix. Chimeras tend to jump and leap attack a lot, but be careful of its snake tail. If you're behind the Chimera, it can strike you with its tail which is capable of inflicting poison on you and your allies who are struck. The goat on the back of it is the animal that is casting the spells on your party and the lion's head can roar and stagger everyone around it. To make quick work of the beast, it's best to jump on its back and slash away at its tail. To get on the Chimera's back you have to grapple it with the :r2: button and remember that a grapple takes stamina, no stamina and you'll get knocked off the Chimera easily. When on top of the Chimera, use :square: light attacks only as the heavy attacks are too slow meaning you'll do little damage to it. After the snake tail is dealt with, do the same thing to the goat head on the back. This will reduce the damage the Chimera is able to inflict. If you get hurt badly during the fight, back off and heal by using the herbs in your inventory or cure poisons etc. Use any skill attacks to finish it off and once all three of its health bars are depleted you'll unlock the trophy.

Departed from Cassardis.

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed. You'll unlock this trophy by leaving Cassardis.

Main Story Quests:

  • Harbinger of Destruction
  • Newly Arisen

[spoiler=Cass]After you completed the prologue, you'll be taken to the character creation screen. When you're done with that process, confirm your character to start the next section of the game. In the village, a cutscene unfolds; you'll face off against a powerful dragon. There is little you can do against it and will ultimately fail and have your heart stolen from you. To get your heart back from the dragon you'll have to seek him out. Once your hero awakens and you've regained control over him. It's time to begin your journey. But before you can win your heart back from the dragon, you'll have to prepare. A voice will speak with you and you'll be given the chance to select a vocation. You can select from the following vocations:

  • Fighter
  • Strider
  • Mage

Choose the vocation that suits your playing style the best. Do note that this selection isn't permanent at all. You can eventually change your vocation later on in the game, learning new skills from all the classes. After you made your choice, leave the room and listen to what your caretakers are saying in the cutscene. After the cutscene, speak with Quina and then go outside. You’re in the town of Cassardis, the starting town in the game. There's plenty to do here such as exploring, searching for items, checking shops, and collecting some side missions that begin here. When you're ready to leave the town, a pawn will drop in on you from a gateway. A villager then explains the lack of a pawns will or personal drive; this triggers the Upon a Pawn quests. Take the pawn to the Encampment to fulfill your quest by leaving Cassardis, thus unlocking the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/086.jpg A New Ally (B)

Summoned your own pawn.

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed. You'll unlock this trophy after you've created your own pawn at Encampment's Rift.

Main Story Quests:

  • Upon a Pawn
  • Call Of the Arisen

[spoiler=encam]Once you leave Cassardis, follow the road along with your first pawn. The road's path will lead you to a paddler who's under attack by three goblins. Kill the goblins and once they have been slain. The paddler, Reynard, will reward you with a cape. Equipping the cape will provide you with extra defense. Continue to along the road until you finally reached the Encampment. This will complete the Upon a Pawn quest. The Encampment is a place where brave warriors of the land gather to fight against the dragons and other mystical monsters. As soon as you enter the Encampment you'll receive a new quest called Call Of the Arisen. Search the Encampment for a rift which is found behind the inn. Interact with it and you'll be tasked to prove yourself that you're the right person at hand. Accept their challenge and a threat will happen soon. Return back to the entrance to trigger a cutscene. Follow the waypoint towards the eastern gate and exit the Encampment. Once outside the gates, you'll see a Cyclops along with some minions fighting the knights. Help them out and slain the monster.

http://i.imgur.com/jUKTO0g.jpg

Cyclops' Attacks:

  • Grapple
  • Rampaging
  • Stomping
  • Sweeping Attacks

The Cyclops is the 2nd boss you'll face in the game. They are also the weakest of the bosses, but sometimes they wear armor and other types of varies weapons and can even have minions fight alongside them. Other times they'll be alone with no armor at all. At the start of the fight, help with killing the goblins then focus your attention on the Cyclops. It’s a slow brute, but is very powerful if you face them head on. Staying back and attacking from a safe distance is the best approach to killing them. The Cyclops has a weakness on its head by hitting its eye. Targeting the eye will inflict the most damage on Cyclops than attacking it anywhere else on the body. Staying away from it will not cause a ranged fighter type to get hit by his sweeping attacks due to the Cyclops long arms. If you're a close ranged fighter type, then you can climb on its legs and slash at them to knock it on the ground. Remember that you need stamina to climb creatures. Continue attacking its weak point and it'll die very soon, since it had about 40% health at the start of the fight.

With the Cyclops dead, grab the loot that it drop and return back to the Encampment. Head back to the inn and you can purchase and equip a new skill since you have enough Disciple Points by speaking with Ecbal. Once done, interact with the rift once again to complete the Call of the Arisen quest and you're given a chance to create a customized pawn. After you're done with the process, a cutscene will trigger. You've have been recognized as Arisen and been granted a loyal pawn to be your constant companion in your journey, thus unlocking the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/4A9.jpg Getting a Head (B)

Earned the approval of the Enlistment Corps.

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed. You'll unlock this trophy after defeating the Hydra and talked with Mercedes.

Main Story Quests:

  • A Rude Awakening

[spoiler=merc]After you created a customized pawn and tried to leave the Encampment. You'll be stopped by a knight named Ser Berne. He'll help to train you in pawn control, so accept his training in order to trigger the Strength In Numbers quest. It's a very simple short test and shouldn't take you long at all. After completing the third test, leave the training ground and return back to the inn to trigger a brief cutscene of a strange robed man. Speak with Mercedes who's near the inn's location. She'll offer to let you rest, so take her offer to advance the storyline (also triggers the A Rude Awakening quest). Once you awaken, you'll learn that the Encampment is under attack by a Hydra. Defend the Encampment by killing the beast.

http://i.imgur.com/XDn4bIb.jpg

Hydra's Attacks:

  • Head Strikes
  • Running Over You
  • Smash itself on the ground (if climbing on him)

The Encampment is the first encounter against a Hydra and thankfully you don't have to fully kill it. Don't waste time attacking the lower body as that does little to no damage. The key to killing this beast is to serve its heads by climbing on him as soon as you can. Once a head is served off, it'll take major damage and get weaker. While fighting a Hydra you never want to stay in front of them. They'll run you over or simply strike you with their multiple heads. Also, be careful when climbing up a Hydra, if you climbed too far. They'll smash themselves to the ground, which sends you flying. Save your stamina and climb to the middle neck of the head to start slashing away and once it's served you'll end the fight.

After you made the Hydra slither off in pain, you'll automatically speak with Mercedes who thanks you for your help and offers to take you north. Agree to accept her offer and rest. The following day you'll regain control over your hero and along with the A Rude Awakening quest completed, thus unlocking the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/7D4.jpg The Courier (B)

Entered Gran Soren.

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed. You'll unlock this trophy once you've reached Gran Soren by escorting Mercedes.

Main Story Quests:

  • Off With Its Head

[spoiler=escortmer]When you rest and agreed to meet Mercedes at the Mountain Waycastle, you'll receive the Off With Its Head quest. Leave the Encampment and journey to the Mountain Waycastle by following the waypoint on your mini-map. Along the way you'll kill wolves and bandits (or undead if you go at evening/night). When you finally made it to Mercedes at the front gate speak with her to escort her to Gran Soren, the capital city of Gransys. Mercedes will have the gates raised for you and your party to protect her cart from monsters. Stay close to her as this is a long journey and hostiles attack immediately. The creatures you'll have to fight are the following:

  • Goblins
  • Harpies
  • Wolves
  • Bandits
  • Undead

Goblins can be killed with anything, Harpies can be killed with arrows, magic or anti-air moves and Wolves are weak to fire and travel in packs. If you're having issues keeping your pawns in order don't be afraid to use the "Come" command to ensure that they follow you and the cart along the journey. After you made it to the gates of Gran Soren, Mercedes thanks you once again and lets you into the city. In the morning, Mercedes parts ways with you and a man named Mason will approach you as Mercedes heads off. At the end of the conversation you'll regain control over your hero, thus unlock the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/E4E.jpg Writ Large (B)

Received a writ from the castle.

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed. You'll unlock this trophy once you've received the Wyrm Hunt License.

Main Story Quests:

  • A Matter Of Myrmidons
  • Lure Of The Abyss

[spoiler=hunt]At the end of the conversation with Mason, explore the town visiting the inn to learn more skills, rest, or to change your vocation if you wish to. Afterwards, travel north from the inn's location to speak with Ser Camillus. He'll let you through when you tell him you have important business with the Pawn Guide. Inside the Pawn Guide (on the western side of the area past Ser Camillus) is a man named Barnaby. Speaking with him will end the A Matter Of Myrmidons quest. Now speak with Barnaby once more to trigger the Lure Of The Abyss quest. He'll lead your party down to the bottom of Everfall, a circular tomb. Be warned, this is a dangerous place especially if you're still around the 10-15 level ranges. Below you can expect to fight the following monsters:

  • Bats
  • Skeletons
  • Skeleton Mages
  • Skeleton Knights
  • Undead
  • Harpies
  • Ogre
  • Spiders

We personally suggest that you have two good decent mage(s) with Fire or Holy spells because everything in this tomb is weak to those spells and will make killing them such easier. While in the tombs you'll find levers on the walls. You can use the levers to open gates farther down or to close gates behind you. Once you've descended further down, you'll encounter an Ogre. You don't have to kill this monster at all. You can run past it and spam the "Come" command to get your Pawns to follow/run with you and lock the Ogre behind a gate. A second alternative is to stand near the edge of a cliff and dodge the Ogre when he charges at you to instantly kill it (he'll fall to his death). He will never come back once killed and the expedience points are wonderful if you managed to pull it off. At the bottom of the tombs is a circular room with a circle of energy on the floor. Examine the circle of energy and a cutscene triggers. After the scene ends you have to quickly run out of the dungeon as fast as you can because giant worms appear and they're infinite in numbers. Don't waste time killing the worms as they reward you with zero experience. When you've escaped the Everfall, speak with Barnaby again to complete the quest.

After you've completed the Lure Of The Abyss quest, attempt to leave the Pawn Guide. A man named Ser Maximilan will automatically approach you and at the end of the conversation you'll have the Wyrm Hunt License in your Special Inventory section, thus unlocking the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/E66.jpg Come Courting (B)

Attended an audience with the duke.

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed. You'll unlock this trophy after your hero meets the Duke. Warning! You must complete any two tasks during the Wyrm Hunt for this to become available.

Main Story Quests:

  • The Cypher
  • A Fortress Besieged
  • Seeking Salvation
  • Justice Done
  • The Watergod's Altar

[spoiler=licen]This is a long road and all you have to do at least complete at least two of those tasks. It's not necessary to do them all on your first playthrough because you'll need a 2nd playthrough regardless, plus you'll be way stronger with better gear to do these quests, which is why we strongly recommend that you complete all of the above quests. Not doing the ones you wish to not complete will result in you forfeiting your Wyrm Hunt License. Meaning the quests will become unavailable to you for the remainder of the playthrough.

When you're ready to meet Duke or forfeit some missions by handing over your Wyrm Hunt License. You'll lose the ability to do any other quests from Ser Maximilian. When you accepted his agreement you'll receive the Come To Court story quest. This grants your hero to enter Duke's castle, so enter and make your way into the audience chamber to see some familiar faces and new ones. Duke will then grant you privilege to explore the rest of the lands in order to succeed in your quest to kill the dragon, thus unlocking the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/E59.jpg The Message (B)

Received the duke's commendation.

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed. You'll unlock this trophy once you've received the duke's commendation.

Main Story Quests:

  • Griffin's Bane
  • Trials And Tribulations
  • The Wyrmking's Ring
  • Pride Before A Fall
  • Honor And Treachery
  • Reward And Responsibility

[spoiler=commend]You'll have to complete all of Aldous' quests until you received the 'Reward And Responsibility'quest. You'll have a lot of traveling and killing to do, even fighting three different types of bosses which are the following:

  • Griffin
  • Solomet
  • Cockatrice

Complete each task one at a time and it's highly recommended that you have a party with two mages or sorcerers because almost every creature or boss you'll face has a weakness to fire and holy magic during these quests. The only issue you might experience for the first time is traveling to the Bluemoon Tower which is northeast of the Windbluff Tower. When tasked to travel there to kill the Griffin and again when tasked to kill Solomet there as well. It's highly recommended that you travel in the morning. Don't travel at night time as you'll encounter powerful Skeleton creatures who are also aided by Bandits in the rocky mountains. When you do make it to the Bluemoon Tower for the 'Griffin's Bane' quest. Kill the Griffin and take the portcrystal from it's treasure. Place this portcrystal to travel back to a certain location much faster. These are helpful in completing future quests especially if you placed your first on the upper north or far south of the world map, but it recommended that you place the portcrystal in the Bluemoon Tower. This way you don't have to worry about traveling all the way back to kill Salomet later on in the 'The Wyrmking's Ring' quest.

Eventually after completing Aldous' second round of quests and either killing or driven off the Cockatrice. Speak with Ser Camillus near the Nobleman Quarter and he'll lead you to Aldous where you'll complete the 'Honor And Treachery' quest and finally begin the 'Reward And Responsibility' quest. Follow Aldous to the Duke's Solar and Duke will lead you to the Treasury chamber. Inside the Treasury room is a ton of loot and gold for the taking. Looting everything and the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/B8D.jpg Rough Landing (B)

Completed the urgent mission.

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed. You'll unlock this trophy once you've secured the Greatwall.

Main Story Quests:

  • Deny Salvation

[spoiler=deny] You'll receive the 'Deny Salvation' quest as soon as you've finished the 'Reward And Responsibility' quest. You'll be tasked with securing the Greatwall from all the creatures lurking within it. When ready travel to the Greatwall and rest outside the Greatwall Encampment before heading in to kill everything. After all, your party needs to be in full health right from the start since you'll need to fight two armored Cyclops along with Harpies attacking simultaneously. You shouldn't have an issue about killing Cyclops but it's best to kill one at a time after killing the Harpies helping them. Below is a listing of all the other creatures awaiting you:

  • Chimera
  • Skeleton Knights
  • Skeleton Lord
  • Skeleton Mages
  • Skeleton Sorcerers
  • Undead Warriors
  • Wights

With the above listed creatures you take note that all of them are weak to fire and holy magic. The Chimera is not threat either, so make your way to the upper levels of the castle until you're on the roof. A cutscene will trigger where you'll end up fighting to Wights as a boss fight. Melee fighters will have trouble fighting these enemies, but mages/range type players can kill them easily. All they do is summon undead and cast spells. If you're a melee type, then you'll have to wait for them to descend for you to kill them or your party could kill them for you. When they are both slain, an awesome cutscene will trigger and end the quest, thus unlocking the trophy.

When facing the Dragon, he will ask you to either leave or fight him. If you walk up to the person on the floor, you’ll choose to leave. Avoid this by walking towards the Dragon. Don’t worry though, he will ask you a final time about your decision.

The fight between you and the dragon consists of a few stages.

  • Stage 1: He will follow you and the camera will be positioned towards the dragon. Press :r3: to run and just keep running until a cutscene starts.
  • Stage 2: The dragon will get stuck for a awhile. At this point, you can start to some damage on him. Concentrate on the heart at the bottom of his neck. Stick to the back of the room, behind the rocks. He will use fire breath which will do heavy damage and might possibly kill you and/or your pawns. The rocks can break, so be careful.
  • Stage 3: He will free himself. Move towards the back. There are a few pillars. Be careful though, he will soon rampage through it and destroy them. You can start to attack him again, but he will soon fly off. Move towards the quest marker when he does.
  • Stage 4: Now all you need to do is run and jump on the walls, moving from tower to tower. Be careful of the Dragon though, he will come fly at you with his fire breath which can easily be evaded. Some parts of the wall will break off, so be careful not to jump to your death. At one point, he will land on the wall. You can choose to damage him a bit, but it’s easier if you just walk past him on the right and move towards the quest marker.
  • Stage 5: When you reach the last tower, get to the top and go to one of the ballista’s. Aim for the Dragon’s heart. If you aimed at the right time, a cut scene will start of you hitting his heart.
  • Stage 6: You’ll find yourself on the tail of the dragon. Move forwards towards the heart. You can’t actually get to the heart below him, but there’s a shining part all the way on the top of his back. Be careful though, there are parts where you can fall of. It’s when the left joystick animation appears on your screen. The animation seems to ask you to move your left analog stick from left to right, but it’s much faster if you make a circle movement. Direction doesn’t matter. Once you’re at the heart, press :square: for a light attack and a new cut scene will start. Be careful though, you’ll need to move your analog stick again.
  • Stage 7: This is it. You’re back at the ground. Prepare yourself; he can do some heavy damage. At the very back from where you started are a few rocks you can hide behind. These can break though, so be careful. You can also use a cliff on the right side for cover. These won’t break. There’s also a ballista. Focus on his heart where you’ll do most damage. When he flies near, go stand behind one of the walls and he won’t be able to hit you. If you don’t have any range attacks, you’ll have to fight him on the ground though. You can use the ballista till it breaks. If there appears a green circle close to you, quickly move out of it. This will do some heavy damage.

Once the Dragon has been defeated a new cut scene will start and you’ll be back in Cassardis. A new quest will appear and you’ll receive the Godsbane. Don’t use it if you want to achieve most, if not all missable trophies on your first playthrough. You’ll also receive the Dragon Forged trophy if you haven’t already. You’ll also receive the Godsbane Blade. (You can use it, but it won’t do much else then kill you... For now.

Peered into the very depths of the world.

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed. You'll unlock this trophy by falling down the pit (Everfall) near the Fountain Square of Gran Soren and then speak with Quince.

Main Story Quests:

  • The Final Battle
  • A Warm Welcome

[spoiler=Treacherous]

A new quest will automatically start after defeating the final Dragon fight. Go back to Gran Soren and go see the Duke. A cutscene will start and afterwards, you’ll have to fight the Duke. He’s a very simple enemy. Defeat him and a new cut scene will start. Afterwards you’ll have to run. No use in defeating the guards, because they’ll keep respawning. When you leave the castle gates, don’t go left, but go to the right through the gates. Go towards the where all the merchants are in Gran Soren and a new cutscene will start.

You’ll keep falling down, that’s why it’s called Everfall. You want to grab onto a ledge, by pressing :r2: when close to one. Grab onto the very first ledge when you fall down, it’s located a little on the right above you. If you fail to do so, jump down and you’ll keep falling again and you can retry. Now a new cut scene will start if you’re on the right ledge, with a pawn talking to you, which will start a new quest called “Fathom Deep”. Do not complete this quest if you don’t want to miss out on many trophies! See the Freedom trophy for more info.

Escaped the yoke of eternity.

This is a story related trophy and cannot be missed. You'll unlock this trophy by bringing 20 Wakestones to Quince.

Main Story Quests:

  • A Warm Welcome
  • Fathom Deep

[spoiler=Freedom]

To unlock this trophy, you’ll have to complete the “Fathom Deep” given to you by the pawn when you first entered Everfall. This quest requires you to obtain 20 Wakestones. Wakestones can be found throughout the game. So can Wakestones Shards, get 3 of these and they’ll form a Wakestone. They can also be bought.

However, the fastest to obtaining 20 Wakestones, and which will also give you many missable trophies while you’re at it, is by going through the Chambers in Everfall. All Chambers start out as the Chamber of Illusion. Defeat the Evil Eye there and all the Chambers will change. All these chambers hold grueling bosses and many Wakestones that can be found in chest and as a frequent drop by the monsters and bosses.

The quickest way to obtaining 20 Wakestones, is by defeating the Ur-Dragon, which grants 20 Wakestones everytime you kill him. See the The Messiah trophy for an easy way on how to kill it.

Once you turn in all the 20 Wakestones, a new portal will open in Everfall. Jump down and the trophy will unlock. Be careful! Completing this quest will stop you from entering any Chambers in Everfall, causing many missable trophies if you haven’t obtained them already. If you missed these, you can always start NG+, because you’ll need to finish the game a second time anyway. See the Headshunter, Eye Contact and Serpents' Bane for more info.

[spoiler=Servitude]

After completing the “Fathom deep” quest and jumping down Everfall, you’ll find yourself in a limbo. Walk towards the man on the throne. A new cutscene will start. After the cutscene, a new quest will start. He will ask you to battle him, but instead of battling him, choose to do nothing and get killed. A cutscene will start afterwards. After the cut scene a retry screen will appear and the trophy will unlock. Choose to Retry to try to get right back into the battle. See the Peace trophy next.

(You can also use the Godsbane blade on yourself, which will speed up the process and you'll still unlock this trophy. Also, if you've missed this trophy, you can use the Godsbane on yourself before obtaining the Mercy trophy, which will also unlock this cutscene and trophy. Thanks for the tip InfiniteStates!)

Open your inventory by pressing :select: and go to Tools. Select the Godsbane Blade and choose to Hold it. Press :square: to pierce yourself and a new cutscene will start.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/244.jpg Human Resources (B)

Changed your vocation.

At level 10 you’ll be able to change your vocation towards any of the advanced versions of the main vocations; Warrior, Ranger, and Sorcerer. Also, the final three vocations of Hybrid Vocations also become available at level 10; Mystic Knight, Assassin, and Magick Archer. In order to change your vocation you need to reach either an Encampment site or an Innkeeper as speaking with them will give you the option to change your character and main pawn vocation. It costs 1,000 Discipline, which you earn by defeating enemies to change to any vocation that you’ve having yet purchased or used before. Once you’ve paid the cost to change your character’s vocation your trophy will unlock, but don’t worry because you can change back to your original vocation if you wish to. Do take note that your vocation will determine your basic attributes, equipment and skills learned. Also see Inhuman Resources.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/23D.jpg Inhuman Resources (B)

Changed your main pawn's vocation.

See Human Resources for more information.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/0F3.jpg The Specialist (S)

Learned all the skills of a single vocation.

You’ll unlock this trophy by learning all the skills of a single vocation. This can be earned even if you learned all the skills after changing vocations or even if your main pawn learned all their skills. In order to learn skills you’ll have to purchase them with Discipline Points by visiting an Encampment Site or an Innkeeper. The skills are based on the following criteria:

  • Weapon Skills
  • Core Skills
  • Augment Skills

The weapon skills will tech you new moves to use in battle or further improve abilities already learned. Core skills are your passive abilities which can extend combos of weapons etc depending on your vocation. Augments skills can be used in any vocations once learned and are capable of giving you stat bonuses such as increased health, stamina, extra weight, less damage received etc. You can only have six augments at a time though. Below is the total Discipline Points that are required to learn all the skills in the basic and advanced vocations (excluded the hybrid list):

  • Fighter: 76,300
  • Strider: 78,650
  • Mage: 78,000
  • Warrior: 78,900
  • Ranger: 91,400
  • Sorcerer: 143,500

As you can see basic version or the advance version of only the Warrior are the fastest to max out in terms of Discipline Points. The hybrid vocations are the longest which is why they aren’t listed.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/1DF.jpg Local Recruit (B)

Directly enlisted a pawn to your party.

For this trophy you must simply enlist any pawn to your party that you bump into during your adventures. Pawns wander the streets of Gran Soren and the wilds (usually on the roads). Once you meet speak with them and you’ll be given the chance to hire him/her into your party. Once you do the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/C10.jpg Foreign Recruit (B)

Enlisted a pawn to your party from beyond the rift.

For this trophy you’ll have to examine a Rift Stone and then speak to any of the pawns inside. When speaking with a pawn inside the Rift, you’ll be given the chance to enlist them into your party so have them join by selecting to enlist them, thus unlocking the trophy. Also see The Captain

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/E71.jpg The Captain (B)

Enlisted a large number of pawns.

For this trophy you’ll have to enlist 70 pawns into your party by examining a Rift Stone which are found in the Cassardis, the Encampment, Gran Soren Pawn Guild, the Abbey, Catacombs, Bluemoon Tower, Greatwall Encampment, Rest Camp and Travelers' Camp.

When inside the Rift Stone walk around to pawns and enlist them into your party, then enlist another pawn into your party by switching the one you just enlisted out of the party. When you enlisted enough pawns you can use the Rift Stone to summon 5 more pawns and do the same thing towards them as well until you’ve enlisted the required amount of 70 pawns, which can be seen in the History tab. You can also do this by directly enlisting any pawn walking in Gransys (most of them can be found in Gran Soren, Pawn Guild), you don't have to use a Rift Stone.

If you go to your Options screen and turn connectivity to off, or just sign out of PSN, it allows you to skip the rating and gifting screen, saving some time. (Thanks for the tip scaryice82.)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/8A9.jpg The Savior (B)

Used a Wakestone to restore the dead to life.

Wakestones are rare items with which you can resurrect you from the death. If your health hits 0, you’ll have to retry or start from the latest checkpoint. However, if you have a Wakestone on you, it will ask you if you want to use it. If you do, you’ll get resurrected with full health and stamina. Wakestones can be bought and found throughout the game. It’s also possible to find Wakestone fragments. Find 3 and they will automatically change into a Wakestone. Wakestone shards can be bought from the Black Cat store in Gran Soren.

There’s also a quest called 'Reaper's Scorn' in Gran Soren, close to the Pawn guild. A man asks you to find a Wakestone and use it on his son. This will also unlock the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/AFE.jpg The Knave (B)

Obtained a forgery.

Location: Gran Soren

Shop: The Black Cat

For this trophy you'll have to find any forged item such as a Wakestone Shard or by having Mountebank create a forgery for you. You can't forge everything at Mountebank, but most of the quests items will work. In other words, there's really two ways to go about obtaining this trophy, but finding a Wakestone Shard in a chest above The Black Cat shop is the easiest method. In the city capital of Gransys, travel to the far eastern end of the map marked below:

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g451/blazenarutoshippuden/BlackCat.png

In that area you'll find a man named MounteBank who's the owner of The Black Cat shop. Above his shop is a secret room with a chest. Run around the store to the left side of the area until you find a ladder. Climb up the ladder and jump across the rooftops until you're above The Black Cat's roof. Go into the room to find a chest and open it. You're looking for a Wakestone Shard so if the shard isn't there then do the following:

  1. Press the :start: button
  2. Select Save / Quit
  3. Select Return to last checkpoint or Quit the Game without saving (only if you saved before doing this trophy)

If the Wakestone Shard is inside the chest, then pick it up to add it to your inventory and you'll unlock the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/4B6.jpg The Artisan or The Craftsman (B)

Combined two materials to make an item.

About the Trophy Title: The trophy may either be called The Artisan or The Craftsman on your PS3. Even though the name may be different, the trophy requirement is still the same.

Open your inventory by pressing :select:. Go to Curatives, Tools, Materials, Special or Other and select any item or material and press :cross: to confirm. Choose to Combine and it will open a new window. Select any material from the list and press :cross: to confirm. Select how many you want to craft and confirm once more. You can also go to your storage and choose to Combine from there.

There are many combinations possible. When you select to combine, many possible combinations will automatically show up, if you've found the item/material you can combine it with. The description will also tell you what you create when you combine the materials, if you've done so before. If you haven't obtained the item/material needed before, it'll show up as '???' (Unknown) nor will it tell you what you can create.

A few basic combinations:

  • Greenwarish + Cloudwine = Dessicated Herbs.
  • Greenwarish + Sweet Pollen = Potent Greenwarish.
  • Potent Greenwarish + Curious Wine/Cloudwine = Matured Greenwarish.
  • Clean Cloth + Rock = Absorbent Rag
  • Flask of Water + Absorbent Rag = Clean Cloth.
  • Lantern + Flask of Oil = Lantern (Fueled)
  • Airtight Flask + Pretty much anything = Material doesn't perish anymore.

For a full list of combinations, click here.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/AEA.jpg Dragon Forged (S)

Strengthened equipment in wyrmfire.

To strengthen any equipment in wyrnfire, you’ll have to defeat a dragon. If you’re lucky, any of your equipment will get dragon forged, basically a level 4 enhancement. The higher the equipment is enhanced, the higher the chance it will become dragon forged. Only the equipment you’re wearing becomes Dragon Forged.

If you beat the very last boss in the game, all your equipment will automatically get Dragon forged.

You can gain Dragon Forged equipment from: The final Boss, the Ur-Dragon, Wyvern, Wyrm and Drake’s. The Final Boss has a 100% chance of Dragon Forging all your equipment. It seems that the Ur-Dragon also has a 100% chance of Dragon Forging your equipment. The others have a smaller chance of doing so, but the chance can be increased by enhancing your armor.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/341.jpg Well Equipped (B)

Obtained 350 pieces total of weapons and armor.

You’ll have to find/buy 350 total of different types of weapons and armor. If you explore a little while adventuring through the game, you shouldn’t have to worry about this trophy. Keep this for your second playthrough.

If you haven’t obtained it by then, you’ll either need to farm chests, or buy equipment from shops all over the place. (Gran Soren, Cassardis, Rest Camps, Great Wall, Ancient Quarry.) You want to look out for any equipment that says ‘New’. This is equipment you haven’t obtained before. However, you probably missed most of these ‘New’ icons, since selecting that equipment once, will remove the ‘New’ icon. Move from town to town and buy any equipment you can. If you don’t have enough money, see the The Coin Collector for tips.

You can check how many armors and weapons you’ve obtained by going to the History menu. From there press :r1: and move all the way over to the Adventure tab. Scroll down to the Inventory tab.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/3B5.jpg The Philanthropist (B)

Gave 50 presents.

Walk up to random NPC’s and press :circle: to speak with them. Press :square: to open the present inventory. From there, select anything available. You can give 50 items to 1 NPC, or spread it out over multiple NPC’s.

If you give 50 to one NPC, you’ll raise their affinity, which will help towards the Affinity and Beyond trophy.

You can check how many presents you’ve given, by going to the History menu. Press :r1: and go all the way to the right to the Adventure log. Scroll down to the Gransys Denizens tab.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/9C1.jpg The Coin Collector (S)

Earned a total of 10,000,000G.

This should easily come over time. You don’t actually have to have 10 million on you, you need to have earned 10 million in total. It’s accumulative. The best place to farm gold would be in Everfall, which is a place that holds many bosses. You’ll unlock Everfall after the completion of the main story.

You can check how much you’ve earned by opening the History menu. From there, press :r1: and go all the way to the Adventure log. The general tab displays how much you’ve earned in total.

There’s a Sorcerer Augment, which you unlock at Vocation rank 2. It’s the Sausion Augment. With this augment, you can sell anything for 1.15x the normal price. Augments can be equipped by any Vocation, it doesn’t matter with which vocation you bought/unlocked it. So if you have any valuable stuff and you want to sell it for a bit more, visit a Inn and swap any Augment you have with this Augment and sell your stuff. Once done simply switch back to any Augment you prefer.

Another great way is defeating the Ur-Dragon. This may seem like a daunting task, but he may spawn with 0 health. Kill him and you’ll always get a full set of armor and some random weapons. These will easily sell for 500k-1million each. Also, if you keep 1 set and wear it while defeating the Ur-Dragon, it will become Dragon Forged, which increases its value by almost 3, making every items easily worth 1,300K!

If he doesn't spawn with 0 health however, try the offline Ur-Dragon. While he doesn't drop as much loot as the online version, you can still easily get 1-1.5 million by selling the weapon and Wakestones he drops.

There's also a 'Carrot exploit' that can easily get you 200k-300k profit each time. Watch the following video. (As of Patch v1.02, this exploit will still work, but the merchant only sells a maximum of 99 carrots etc this time. If you're really that desperate, you can always delete the patch and cancel to update.)

The trophy will unlock as soon as you discovered Ancient Quarry location when the grey text box appears in the top center of your screen. Below are some quests related to the ancient quarry:

Side Quests:

  • A Parting Tribute

This is an escort side quest which you can get from the Gran Soren Inn Notice Board. You'll need to escort a man named Ser Berne down to the Shadow Fort, so use the Ancient Quarry as a shortcut. Once you reached the North Entrance of the Ancient Quarry. Speak with a merchant named Alon to receive the 'Of Merchants And Monsters' quest. Once inside the dungeon the trophy will unlock, but you'll have to kill all three Ogres inside the Quarry and open the gates. Once you completed this task the Quarry will become a great way to travel as a shortcut and monster free. The merchant (Alon) will also open a shop inside the Quarry. Afterwards, simply finish escorting Ser Berne to the Shadow Fort to complete his escort side quest.

Entered the Soulflayer Canyon.

Main Story Quests:

  • The Cypher
  • A Fortress Besieged
  • Seeking Salvation
  • Justice Done
  • The Watergod's Altar
  • Come To Court

For this trophy, you'll need to enter the Soulflayer Canyon which is dungeon that is great for getting closer to the Greatwall. There are two different entrances that you can enter which is either the West/East Soulflayer Canyon entrance. You can get to by doing some side quests related to it, but you'll most likely find the eastern entrance while exploring the Cursewood (west from the Wilted Forest). The trophy will unlock as soon as you discovered Soulflayer Canyon location when the grey text box appears in the top center of your screen. Below are some quests related to the Soulflayer Canyon:

Side Quests:

  • The Conspirators

In order to start this quest you'll have to complete the main quests listed above until you've meet the Duke. After meeting the Duke, go upstairs and look for a man named Fedel in the Gathering Hall. Accept his quests to retrieve an important letter. The letter so happens to be in the Soulflayer Canyon. Explore the dungeon to unlock the trophy and to find the letter. When you find it, return it back to Fedel or give it to Ser Gabrain when you enter the Duke's Demesne. Either choice you pick will allow you to complete the quests, but it you are greedy with the rewards received after completing quests. You can make a forgery of the letter at The Black Cat. After resting a few days in the Inn get your forge letter and give it to both Fedel and Ser Garbrain to receive the rewards from each of them.

*Missable*

Main Story Quests:

  • Griffin's Bane
  • Trials And Tribulations
  • The Wyrmking's Ring
  • Pride Before A Fall
  • Honor And Treachery
  • Reward And Responsibility

For this trophy, you'll need to enter the duke's manse, which is really the Blighted Manse. The Blight Manse is an estate located north of Gran Soren. Unfortunately, you won't be able to enter the Blighted Manse since it's guarded by knights who won't let you enter it. The only way past this is to get in by accepting the 'Duchess In Distress' side quest. The trophy will unlock as soon as you discovered duke's manse location when the grey text box appears in the top center of your screen. Below are the side quests that will get you there:

Side Quests:

  • Arousing Suspicion
  • Duchess in Distress

First you'll have to complete the 'Arousing Suspicion' side quests and all of Aldous's quests listed in the above main quests. You can start the 'Arousing Suspicion' side quest the first time you meet a woman named Mirabelle in the castle gardens (after meeting Lady Aelinore first). Once you completed it and all of Aldous's tasks, talk to Mirabelle outside by the castle's entrance to accept the 'Duchess in Distress' side quest. Upon accepting to help her, she'll give you a Set of Royal Guard Armor so you'll be able to enter the Blighted Manse estate. Leave Gran Soren and travel northeast past the Windbluff Tower until you found the Blighted Manse estate. Put on the armor and enter the estate and the trophy will unlock.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/C08.jpg Into the Frontier Caverns (B)

Entered the southwestern caves.

Main Story Quests:

  • A Matter Of Myrmidons
  • Lure Of The Abyss
  • The Cypher
  • A Fortress Besieged

For this trophy, you'll need to enter the southwestern caves also known as the Frontier Caverns. The Frontier Caverns is a underground passage connected to the Shadow Fort. That is now a lair to the Goblins and an armored Cyclops. Eventually, you'll be able to kill a Hydra here when you accepted the A Challenge' side quest only during your Post Game playthrough. The trophy will unlock as soon as you discovered Frontier Caverns location when the grey text box appears in the top center of your screen. Below are the main story and side quests that will get you here:

Main Story and Side Quests:

  • A Fortress Besieged
  • A Parting Tribute

The two quests listed above are the main ones that will help you discover the location much early. Do either one you wish or both at the same time for more rewards and experience points. We recommend that you use the Ancient Quarry as a shortcut to get to The Shadow Fort much faster. When as the Shadow Fort, you can either finish your main object to secure it from the Goblins and Cyclops or you can just jump down into the passage way on the ground of the battlefield. There are two different holes on the ground but the one on the right is large enough for you to jump down into. Once you enter the new area the trophy will unlock.

This is a trophy that will take time, but you'll unlock just by going for the The Laborer and The Hero trophies. You'll know when you visited a new location whenever a small gray text box appears in the top center of your screen. You can keep track of this trophy by checking the History of your stats/records.

Use the following video for all the trophy related boss locations. (Description has a time line):

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/382.jpg The Veteran (B)

Defeated 3,000 enemies.

For this trophy you’ll have to defeat 3,000 enemies. This will naturally come over time. You can check how many enemies you’ve slain by going to the History menu. From there, press :r1: and go all the way to the right to the Adventure log. Scroll down to Enemies and at the top it will tell you how many you’ve slain. This will carry over to NG+.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/791.jpg Headshunter (B)

Defeated a hydra or archydra.

*Missable*

http://i.imgur.com/XDn4bIb.jpg

Hydra:

  • Locations: The Hydra can be found post game in the Frontier Caverns, which is located near the Shadow Fort. You’ll need to activate a notice board quest before it will spawn though.
  • The very first Hydra you encounter (at the Encampment) in the main story doesn’t count. You don't actually kill it.
    • Watch the video linked here for all the locations.

  • Health: 100,000
  • Attacks: Head Strikes, Running Over You, Smash itself on the ground (if climbing on him)
  • Weaknesses: Slash, Fire, Holy

Make sure you have a pawn that can cast a fire or holy buff, which will cause the most damage. Aim for the heads and set them on fire. If you deal enough damage to a head, it will come off. If you shoot all of his heads off, it will go down. Quickly get close and damage the necks for the most damage. You can also move towards the back of the beast and grab it. Move up to its head and start attacking it. You’ll want preferably use a slash attack. (Swords, daggers etc). Be careful though, it can smash itself to the ground. If a head grabs you, quickly move the left analog stick in a circle movement, else he will eat you as a whole and instantly kill you.

http://i.imgur.com/ZlIRxoV.png

Archydra:

  • Locations: The Archydra will spawn in the Chamber of Hesitation in the Everfall, post game. It’s the 3rd chamber down.
    • Watch the video linked here for all the locations.
    • Or click here for the Everfall map (DD Wikia).
    • If you're falling down Everfall, open your map and press :square: once. It'll open a list with all the chambers. If you scroll through them, it'll show you where they're are positioned.

  • Health: 100,000
  • Attacks: Head Strikes, Running Over You, Smash itself on the ground (if climbing on him)
  • Weaknesses: Slash, Fire, Holy

Pretty much the same tactics as the Hydra, but be careful though, the Archydra, when losing all its heads, will start to regenerate health. He can also grow back his heads.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/435.jpg Eye Contact (B)

Defeated an evil eye.

*Missable*

http://i.imgur.com/KExMCG9.png

This can only be done post game. A new area will open, called the Everfall. As the name suggest, you fall down forever until you grab hold of a platform, by pressing :r2: when close. When Everfall opens up the very first time, all the platforms will lead to the Chamber of Confusion which holds the Evil Eye. Once you defeat him, the Chamber of Confusion will disappear, opening up all other chambers.

  • Locations: The Evil Eye will spawn in the Chambers of Confusion and Chambers of Sorrow in the Everfall, post game.
  • Health: 66,666
  • Attacks: Barrier, Tentacles, Casting Spells, Charging, Teleporting, Grabbing, Sealing Spells
  • Weaknesses: Holy, Slash, Bash

The Evil Eye seems to be pretty strong and have a lot of health, but It hasn’t. The main problem is its barrier, which renders all attacks useless. The main thing you want to do is to focus on his eye. Most of the times, you won’t harm it, because of the barrier (you'll easily notice the barrier blocking your attacks). Quickly start to attack his eye when he goes up in the air and casts a spell for a bit. Once he does cast the spell, he will lighten an area, which removes his barrier. Be careful not to stand in the light though, this will cause a horrible curse that will slow you down and kill you no matter your health when not cured.

When the eye takes massive damage, he might disappear and start spawning tentacles. Don’t worry. Attack the tentacles or leave them be, he will soon come back. Once he does, he will slowly spawn at one spot without a barrier. Quickly attack it!

Your pawns will also shout out when its barrier is down. Once you're able to do some serious damage, it will get stunned and fall to the ground with his eye out. When that happens, quickly focus all your attacks on the eye. This will do massive damage. You should be able to kill the Evil Eye when this happens.

The Evil eye can also spawn tentacles, you can attack these, but we suggest you leave them be. Just don’t get to close. They do use fire spells, so be careful of getting hit, which might light you up. This will stop over time, or you can use a potion that stops you from burning.

The eye itself can cast a few spells, grab hold of you or your pawn and start devouring you. It also has a teleport. When he teleports, 2 dark clouds will appear, one where he is, and where he will teleport to.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/7E6.jpg Serpents' Bane (B)

Defeated a drake, wyrm, and wyvern.

*Missable*

http://i.imgur.com/OS52IsL.png

Drake:

Drakes can be found at any time and post game.

  • Anytime: South of the Shadow Fort, in the woods.
  • Post Game: South of the Shadow Fort, where the Cyclops used to be. (Even more south from the Drake location above.)
  • Miners hut, west from Gran Soren.
  • Chamber of Fate in Everfall.
    • Watch the video linked here for all the locations.
    • Or click here for the Everfall map (DD Wikia).
    • If you're falling down Everfall, open your map and press :square: once. It'll open a list with all the chambers. If you scroll through them, it'll show you where they're are positioned.

  • Health: 80.000
  • Weaknesses: Ice.

The main weakness of a Drake is ice and its heart. The heart is located on his stomach area/beneath its neck. So get some Ice buffs and focus your attacks on his heart. When you face the Drake near Shadow Fort, there are a few ballistas. Use these to shoot him a couple of times. Once he’s down to 0 health, you’ll need to damage its heart before it dies.

The Drake has a few attacks you want to be careful of. His grab attack (right arm). If he grabs you, he will smash you into the ground, losing quite some health. If he grabs a pawn, quickly shoot his hand. If you’re not in time, your pawn will be possessed by the Drake and it will start to attack you. You can solve this by either quickly killing the pawn and reviving him by pressing :circle: when close, or bring a few potions that cure possession. He can also sweep his arm and cause some major damage. The same can be done with his tail.

He can also use fire breath and do major damage and set you and your pawns on firing, causing damage of time. He can either use his fire breath in a wide angle, from left to right, or he slowly steps backwards and spitting firing in a straight line.

One his most devastating attacks causes all your pawns to instantly die. The only thing you can do is revive them.

http://i.imgur.com/rOmmm6X.png

Wyrm:

Wyrms can only be found post game.

  • Offering Chamber in the Watergod’s Altar dungeon.
  • Chamber of Distress in Everfall.
    • Watch the video linked here for all the locations.
    • Or click here for the Everfall map (DD Wikia).
    • If you're falling down Everfall, open your map and press :square: once. It'll open a list with all the chambers. If you scroll through them, it'll show you where they're are positioned.

  • Health: 60.000
  • Weaknesses: Fire.

Pretty much the same as the Drake, only his weakness is Fire and he uses Ice breath. He can also cast ice spikes. Red circles will appear of where it will strike. Just keep moving and you should be safe.

Also, be careful when he starts to fly. He will come straight at you and use some sort of wind attack that will rocket you sky high, causing fall damage.

http://i.imgur.com/OS52IsL.png

Wyvern:

Wyverns can only be found post game.

  • Between the Catacombs and Windbluff tower, in the woods.
  • Bluemoon Tower, upper level where you fought the Griffin.
    • Watch the video linked here for all the locations.

  • Health: 70.000
  • Weaknesses: Fire.

Pretty much the same as the Drake and Wyrm, only his weakness is Fire and he uses Lightning attacks. Red circles will appear where the lightning is going to hit you. It doesn't cause damage, but it will knock you to the ground, leaving your vulnerable. Also, his hearth is located on its back instead.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/8FA.jpg The Messiah (G)

Defeated the Ur-Dragon.

http://i.imgur.com/WCNRf6x.png

The Ur-dragon is the most powerful creature in the game. This mighty creature is actually an online event.

  • He can be found post game in the Chamber of Lament in Everfall. It’s the 7th chamber down.
  • You can also find him in NG+, using the special Rift Stone that can be found on the beach in Cassardis. It’s all the way in the back.
    • Watch the video linked here for all the locations.
    • Or click here for the Everfall map (DD Wikia).
    • If you're falling down Everfall, open your map and press :square: once. It'll open a list with all the chambers. If you scroll through them, it'll show you where they're are positioned.

When you enter his Chamber, move all the way to the back of it. There you’ll see 3 pawns standing. Kill these. They don’t have much health, so it’s quite easy. Once you’ve kill them, wait a few seconds and the Ur-Dragon will come flying down.

  • Health: 1.470.000
  • Weaknesses: Holy, Slash, Bash.

There’s a super easy, easy and hard way to defeat the dragon.

Super easy way: If you’re lucky, he will spawn with no health at all. All you have to do is to hit the red globes all over its body. Once that’s done, you’ll be granted a kill and the trophy. This will happen for 30 minutes after the Ur-Dragon has been killed by someone.

What if he spawns with full/more health? Well, that’s the hard way. Either leave and try to get it to spawn with 0 health, try it the hard way or offline.

Easy way: Go to Options and turn off connectivity. This will spawn an offline Ur-Dragon. It’s pretty much the same as the online once, except much, much easier and it has different loot. You can easily solo it at level 80-90+.

If your still having a hard time, you might want to level up some more. Complete the other trophies first, go start your second playthrough if you want.

The hard way: The hard way is when he spawns with all his health, or at least a big chunk of its health. When this happens, you have 8 minutes the time to damage it as much as possible. But you want to kill it. If you want to do so, you better prepare for a grueling fight. If you’re in the level range of 40-60, don’t think you can beat it with most of its health left.

The Ur-Dragon is the strongest creature in the game. You better bring many health items. Oh, and Wakestones aren’t a bad idea either. You might want to be careful with dieing though.. Each time a player dies, the Ur-Dragon will recover health, based on if you used a Wakestone or not. He will also recover a great deal of health when someone flees the battle.

The Ur-Dragon uses pretty much the same tactics as the Drakes and Wyverms, but much, much more devastating. The stream of magical fire he lets lose can pretty much instantly kill you at lower levels. He can also cast some magic skills, such as Meteor, Lightning Strike, Curse and Stone pillars. When he does, red circles will appear where the spell will strike. Lightning attacks won’t cause damage, but will knock you down. His most damaging magic attack is when a big red circle appears around you or your pawn. Quickly move out of there, or prepare for an (almost) instant death. You can tell when he’s going to cast this spell, when he sits still and bows his head, looking towards the ground. You can cancel any of these attacks if you do enough damage quick enough on his head.

The Ur-Dragon becomes a real pain in the ass when it starts to move around a lot. Especially annoying when you're a close combat fighter. You want to have ranged attacks since some spots might be difficulty to hit otherwise. Its probably best if you play as a vocation with ranged attacks, because with pawns it can take a while.

When the Ur-Dragon is standing on his back feeth and you see a big bright blue light coming from his mouth, move out of the way. He will use a pretty devastating attack, unleashing a blue fire stream towards the ground which will cause an AoE (Area of Effect) field. This will also unleash a few meteor balls. This all can be easily dogded by having some distance.

Attacking the dark parts on the dragon has no use, it will do no damage. Attacking the lighter parts will damage him. Also, apparently, if you attack his joints, you will do 30% more damage. Be careful though, once he his health reaches a low point, he will go into a berserk mode. If he hits 0 health, you’ll need to shoot off all the red orbs on his body.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/BF3.jpg The Laborer (B)

Completed 50 notice board quests.

Most notice boards can be found in cities and camps. Most notice board quests are simple tasks that can be completed whenever you want, so it’s best to always check if there are any new ones and complete them while adventuring through the game and/or main story line. You can activate as many of these as you like.

There are a few however, that will require completing the quest before you can use the notice board again. Mainly escort quests. If you don’t like the quest, you can cancel it by using the notice board again. You can then choose a new quest or start the one you just cancelled.

You can check how you’ve completed by going to the History menu. Press :r1: and go all the way to the right to the Adventure log. Scroll down to quests.

The total amount of completed notice board quest will carry over to NG+, so don’t worry if you haven’t gotten it yet.

Helped Madeleine open her shop.

*Missable*

Main Story Quests & Side Quests:

  • A Rude Awakening
  • A Matter of Myrmidons
  • Chasing Shadows

For this trophy you'll have to help Madeleine open her shop in Gran Soren, but there's really two ways to go about obtaining this trophy:

Method 1:

After defeating the Hydra in the Encampment, go back to Cassardis. Madeleine will be waiting at the Inn. Talk to her to start the 'Guard Duty' quest, you'll then have to escort her to the Encampment. Go in the morning to avoid the stronger creatures at night time and make sure she doesn't die. When you're back at the Encampment, Madeleine will ask for 1,000G. Give her the 1,000 gold to help her in opening her shop later on.

When you arrive in Gran Soren, complete the 'A Matter of Myrmidons' main quest, then find Mason (black guy, pink clothing) at the Fountain Square. (If he's not there, rest a few days at the Inn or complete a few other quests first.) Talk to him to start the 'Chasing Shadows' quest. Go to the Inn and sleep till nightfall, then go to the Nobleman Quarters and a cutscene will trigger. Follow the knight, but don't get too close, or too far. Once you're done, go back to Fountain Square and talk to Arsmith to complete the quest.

Now rest at the Inn for a few days, until the 'abandoned house' marker disappears from where Madeleine her shop will be. (It's where you saw her talking to the knight.) If it doesn't disappear within a few days of sleeping, go do a few quests and come back later. Once her shop is there, speak to her and choose to buy. You don't have to actually buy something, but this will make the trophy unlock.

Method 2:

If you didn't escort her to the encampment, but you did complete 'Chasing Shadows' side quest, she'll still open up her shop in Gran Soren. Go talk to her, the trophy will just unlock! This has happened for quite some people.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/646.jpg The Escort (B)

Acted as a reliable travel companion.

This requires you to escort someone from point A to B. You can find escort quest by using the notice board at the Inn in Gran Soren. It’s best if you sleep till morning and then start an escort quest. You don’t want to escort someone in the middle of the night. It’s easiest if you stay on the roads, ignoring most enemies.

A really easy trick is to set a Portcrystal at the destination. Start the escort quest afterwards and use a Ferrystone to teleport to it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/CD7.jpg Affinity and Beyond (B)

Raised a person's affinity to the maximum.

You can raise someone’s affinity in many ways. If you’ve maxed out a person’s affinity, you’ll hear a ring every time you speak with them. You can raise pretty much anyones affinity. Be careful who you romance. It'll have an impact on the ending of the game. (Don't worry though. It's nothing really major and doesn't affect any trophy.)

  • There’s a trophy that requires you to hand out 50 gifts. This can be done by talking to any NPC and pressing :square: to open the gift inventory. If you give 50 to one person, you should be easily on your way towards max affinity. (Some people like different presents. Check your items and some of them will tell you which are favored by whom.)
  • Every time you sleep at an Inn, you’ll raise the Inn keeper’s affinity. This might take quite some time. (Sleeping at an Inn is a good thing to do often though. It restored health and you can gain a lot of Rift Crystals because of people hiring your pawn.)
  • By completing Selene’s quests, ‘Lost & Found’, ‘Witch Hunt’ and giving her presents. (Also ‘Elsewhere Bound’ from the Cassardis Inn Notice Board and ‘Witch’ Brew’ from the Ale House notice board in Gran Soren might help.)
  • By obtaining the The Patron trophy, either give presents to Madeleine and/or complete the ‘Bad Business’ quest.
  • After completing the ‘Dragons Tongue’ quest, you’ll obtain the ‘Arisens Bond’ ring. Give it to anyone to instantly raise their affinity.
  • After meeting the Duke, you can start the ‘Arousing Suspicion’ quest. Complete this quest to raise Aelinore’s affinity to maximum.
  • After meeting the Duke, you can start the ‘Talent in Bloom’ quest, by talking to Quinna at the Abbey. Give the flower back to her and complete the quest.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/994/F70.jpg The Ever-Turning Wheel (G)

Completed the adventure a second time.

You'll need to complete the main adventure all over again to obtain this trophy. When you truly completed the game (real credits) and have returned back to the main menu. Do the following in order to begin your NG++ playthrough:

  1. Kill the Seneschal
  2. Use the Godsbane (found in the inventory) and stab yourself
  3. Select Load Game at main menu
  4. Follow the instructions to start the NG++

In NG++ (like NG+) you'll notice the following changes:

  • Shop keepers and owners keep the same stocks they had from previous playthroughs along with new items and few changes.

There are many quests in the game that can easily be missed. Most of them are missed by simple story progression. You want to be careful when you get to the Ser Maximilian, the Duke or the Final Battle quest. That’s where you can either lock out many quests or cancel them out.

Be careful with quests given by Ser Maximilian. You can activate them all at once, but as soon as you complete 1, you have the option to meet the duke. Do NOT activate this quest if you have any active quests. These will get cancelled and you won’t be able to start them again. (Notice board quests won’t get cancelled.)

If you miss any, start New Game Plus (NG+) (you need to complete the game a second time anyway) and all your quest progression will be carried over to NG+. Even though your Cleared quest tab gets wiped, you don’t have to complete any quest you’ve already done before. Simply follow the list below and you should have no trouble obtaining this trophy.

Here’s a list of the quests you need to complete (main quest line not included) for the The Hero trophy. (See the trophy for more info.)

The quests are grouped together as for when you can start them. Next to the name of a quest is where you can start it. The number represents the location on the world map we made, which can be found here.

Floral Delivery [Cassardis - 1]

When you leave your house in Cassardis, you’ll see a broken down house on the left. Talk to Benita and she’ll give you the quest. She wants you to find 5 Sunbright Flowers and 1 Moonglow flower afterwards. Sunbright flowers can only be found during the day close to trees. They’re bright pink.

Moonglow can only be found at night close to edges and rocks. It’s a blue flower with butterflies. One can easily be found in Cassardis itself. Go all the way to the back of the beach, and head under the small rock tunnel and look on your left.

Grim Tidings [Cassardis - 1]

Find Elvar in Cassardis. He should be either walking outside, or in his home in the back. He will want you to deliver some bad news to Merin. Simply follow the quest marker. Once you’ve talked to Merin, report back to Elvar.

Lost Faith [Cassardis - 1]

In the church in Cassardis, located south is a priest that has lost his scriptures. After accepting the quest, a boy will be waiting outside, telling you he wanted to take a look at them and lost them. The scriptures are located on one of the roofs in Cassardis. Before leaving the church area, at the right side of the church, is the building with the scriptures. It’s near a chimney. The scripture is red and so is the roof, so it’s hard to spot.

Of Merchants & Monsters [Ancient Quarry North Entrance - 18]

At the ancient quarry, talk to the guy standing outside. He will ask you to open up all the doors in the quarry. The doors are opened by standing on a stepping stone. While opening the doors, kill any Ogre you come across. They can be very hard to kill though.

Once all of them are opened, go back to the guy outside and he will ask you to kill 3 ogres in the quarry. If you already killed all 3 of them, talk to him again. If not, go back in the quarry and the map will show you where you can find the ogres.

Search Party [Cassardis - 1] [The Encampment - 2] [Gran Soren - 23] [Rest Camps - 9, 10, 27]

Before you can start this quest, you’ll have to save Reynard, the travelling merchant from a few goblins. Once you’re heading to the Encampment the first time, simply follow the road and you should see someone getting attacked by goblins close to a tree.

Now to start this quest, you’ll have to find Reynard first. This can be difficult, since, well.. He’s a travelling merchant, pretty much travelling all over the place, to pretty much any city or resting place. It’s probably easiest if you sleep at the Cassardis or Gran Soren Inn and wait for him to show up. (This can take a few minutes.) To get the quest started, you need to purchase 10 items 1 by 1 until the a ‘?’ will appear above his head.

First he will ask for a ‘Scrap Iron’ (it looks like a rock). Check your inventory or storage or your pawns inventories. If you don’t have one, you should farm some skeletons. You could also try to obtain one by getting it gifted through the Pawn system.

Once you’ve given him the Scrap Iron, do the same as before and purchase items 1 by 1 until the ‘?’ shows up again. Now he will ask for a ‘Miasmite’. Miasmites are dropped by Phantoms, which can be found at night close between the Catacomb and Windbluff Tower, North-West from Gran Soren after passing the bridge. You can also combine 3 Miasmite Shards with a Firefly stone and craft a Miasmite.

Now once again, as before, keep purchasing items from him 1 by 1 until the ‘?’ appears again. This time, he will ask for 6 of his Fathers Journal. These can be found here:

  • First Journal: Encampment. When you enter via the gate closest to Cassardis, go to the left and stick the wall on the left. You should see a chest.
  • Second Journal: Catacombs. When you get to the room with the Phantoms and zombies. The chest all the way in the back of the room.
  • Third Journal: Venery, Gran Soren. Go to the Black Cat shop and close by you should find a ladder leading up to the roofs. Go up and walk towards the roof of the Black Cat. Instead of jumping on the Black Cat’s roof, jump to the roof on the left. You should see a small area locked by the houses.
  • Fourth Journal: Miasmic Haunt. West from the Greatwall, you’ll find a camp all the way in the upper corner, with 3 chests behind the tents. It’s in the middle chest.
  • Fifth Journal: Soulflayer Canyon. Enter from the West entrance (closest to the Greatwall) and follow the road until it splits. Go right and you should see a chest on a broken bridge.
  • Final Journal: Ancient Quarry. In the center of the map, with a Ogre close by and a stone wall with an opening, the chest in the corner next to it.

Strength in Numbers [The Encampment - 2]

After you created a customized pawn and tried to leave the Encampment, you'll be stopped by a knight named Ser Berne. He'll help to train you in pawn control, so accept his training in order to trigger the quest. It's a very simple and short quest that will give you 3 tests. The first test, you'll need to move grab and move cargo (boxes) to the designated area. For the second test you'll need to destroy some scarecrows, which can be done with any weapon. For the third and last test you'll need to destroy some scarecrows again, but this time some of them are resistant to either physical or magick attacks.

(Defeated the Hydra at the Encampment.)

An Uninvited Guest [Cassardis - 1]

Talk to the Cassardis Inn keeper. He will tell you about a thief and ask you to talk to the other shop owners. Once you’ve talked to them, report back to the Inn keeper. He will ask you if you’re ready to catch the thief. Confirm and it will become nightfall. He will tell you the thief will come and be ready. Simply wait for the thief to show and try to grab him by pressing :r2: when close. You can choose to chase him, but you can also wait at the exit gate, because that’s where he will always go. You can also attack him which may cause him to stop for a brief moment. Use this to grab him.

Deep Trouble [Cassardis - 1]

Close to the exit gate in Cassardis, you can see a well on the right with a guard standing next to it. Talk to him to start the quest. Go inside and move all the way to the back and kill the saurions there. Once you’ve killed them all, you need to report back to the guard.

Deeper Trouble [Cassardis - 1]

After meeting the Duke, go back to Cassardis. As soon as you enter Cassardis, the camera will change towards the Well and you’ll hear a voice. Go down once more and talk to the guy below. Follow the quest marker. Kill all the saurions there and destroy the eggs. Be careful, a Saurion boss will spawn. (This quest can only be started after completing "Deep Trouble". If you can't start the quest, leave and enter Cassardis again.)

Guard Duty [Cassardis - 1]

At the Inn, you can find a woman in yellow called Madeleine. She can be either down- or upstairs. Talk to her to start the quest. You’ll need to escort her to the Encampment. Before starting the quest, you might want to rest till morning so that there’s a higher chance you don’t have to fight with any monsters. It’s only a short distance. Once you’re at the Encampment, she will ask you for 1.000 in gold. Give it to her. You don’t have to, but if you don’t, you’ll miss out on the The Patron trophy.

Lost & Found [Cassardis - 1]

Go to Cassardis and find Chief Adaro (old guy, white hair/beard). He will want you to find Quinna. Go to the Witchwood and you’ll find her close to the entrance. Talk to her and she tells you she wants to find the Witch. Escort her to the Witch house. Be careful of wolves, they’re pretty much everywhere. Once you’ve escorted her, she will tell you she will find her way back to Cassardis on her own. Go back to Cassardis and report to Adaro.

No Honour Among Thieves [The Ruins of Aernst Castle - 6]

Speak to the bandit leader, called Maul. He will task you to either kill 10 of the female bandits at the Ruins of Heavenspeak Fort, or capture a deserter. The deserter can be found in Cassardis. If you go after the deserter, tell him to go back to maul and face his own death.

(Starts after visiting Gran Soren the first time.)

Dying of Curiosity [Cassardis - 1]

Go to the beach in Cassardis, on the left, close to the bridge at the boats you’ll find someone named Merin. He wants you to find Valmiro. Before you can do so, you’ll have to inquire information from 3 persons.

Afterwards, leave Cassardis. Immediately on the right is a beach. Go to it and you’ll see Valmiro laying on the beach. Talk to him and he will ask you for something to heal him. (Greenwarish.) After doing so, you’ll have to find him again. Go to the Encampment front gate. He’s laying in the grass close to a tree on the left. This time, he will ask for 2 healing items. He will run off once more. This time, he can be found in Witchwood. Simply enter Witchwood and you’ll immediately hear and see him. He will ask for 3 healing items. Go back to Cassardis and talk to Merin again.

A Fortress Beseiged [Gran Soren - 23]

Given to you by Ser Maximilian. Go to the Shadow Fort (use the Ancient Quarry as shortcut). Talk to the guard there and he will tell you to open the huge main gate. Enter the hole close to them and find you way to the other side of the gate. (Be careful. You’ll need to fight many goblins. Also, in the huge open area are 2 cyclops with armor and goblins will shoot at you with ballistas.)

From the building you came from, go all the way to the top. The wall in the back is where you open the gate, but the lever is gone. Move to the open area where the Cyclops are and you should see a small building on the left. You can’t enter via the door. There’s a ladder at the back of the house. Walk all the way up and jump down the house. You’ll see a door on your right. Open it and move into the prison. The chest, protected by the goblins holds the lever. Go back and open the main gates. The soldiers will storm in.

Now fight the goblins until a cutscene starts, showing goblins opening the of the fort. Enter the building and go all the way up. You’ll have to fight a goblin with more health than usual. Once he’s almost dead, he will jump out of the window. Don't bother chasing him. A new cutscene will start and you’re back outside. Talk to the commander you previously talked to, to receive a Ferrystone. Head back to Maximilian.

A Troublesome Tome [Gran Soren - 23]

Speak to Steffan in Gran Soren. He’s easily spotted by the ‘?’ quest marker. (He’s the guy in yellow/brown shirt, mostly peeking through windows at the Inn or in the alley behind it..) Talk to woman from the Herbshop in Gran Soren. You’ll need to go to the Ruins of Aernst Castle. (West from Cassardis/Witchwood.) Don't worry about the bandits there. They won't attack unless you do. Talking to the bandit leader, Maul, will get you nowhere. Go up the tower at the castle and climb your way to the top. Open the chest and obtain the book and give it back to Steffan.

Chasing Shadows [Gran Soren - 23]

Talk to Mason at Fountain Square. (You need to complete the main quest ‘A Matter of Myrmidons’ first.) Go to the Noble Quarters (close to the Dukes castle) at night and walk towards the middle. A cutscene will start. Afterwards, follow the knight. Don’t get too close or too far from him. Simply keep following until he enters a house and starts talking to Madeleine. Afterwards, report to Mason’s friend at the Ale house.

Land of Opportunity [Gran Soren - 23]

Find Fournival, the big fat guy in a dress. You can probably find him at his home close to the Dukes castle gate. He wants you to evict some people from his land. First find the small boy, Pip. You’ll have to chase him down. At one spot, he may be hard to find. Don’t search in the barn, he’s actually up on the roof. Go to the building left it and jump on the ledge of the small wooden construction next to it and jump to the barn roof. Afterwards, you’ll have to chase him down Gran Soren. Try to grab him by pressing :r2:

Now find the woman Sara. She’s probably wandering the Fountain Square. After talking to her, rest a day at the Inn and talk to her again.

Now talk the guy outside the Inn, Jasper. He will want you to talk to his wife and son first. They can be seen wandering around Gran Soren. Once you’ve found them and spoken to them, go back to Jasper. He will ask you to pay him 30.000. If you do so, completing the quest will give you 40.000. You can also go back to the Fournival and purchase the land for 80.000. (Chosing one or another has impact on the ‘Trial and Tribulations’ quest. Nothing major though, don’t worry about it.)

Escort Duty [Gran Soren - 23]

After completing Chasing Shadows and Land of Opportunity, talk to Fournival. He wants you to escort his daughter. First, escort her daughter. Once you get close to the Inn, she wants to play Hide and Seek. She either hides at the Inn, behind the Ale house (or at the pawn guild?). After finding her, she will wander the market for a while. She’ll want a Flask of Water. Either get it from your inventory/storage, or if you don’t have any, go to the Herb shop at Gran Soren. Afterwards, she wants to race you to the city gates. You can choose to let her win or lose.

(While it doesn’t really matter what you do or how fast you do it, if you meet certain criteria, you’ll be able to obtain the Gold idol, which will come in handy. See the 'Idol Worship' quest video for more info.)

Seeking Salvation [Gran Soren - 23]

Talk to Ser Maximilian (in front of the Duke castle gates). Go to the Catacombs and at the very end, a cutscene will start and many undead will appear. Kill them all and you’ll hear Mason behind the door in the back. Go to him to start the ‘Justice Done’ quest.

Justice Done [Gran Soren - 23]

After meeting Mason, he wants you to either kill the guy or leave him be. The difference between both is that Mason will disappear from the game if you chose to spare the guy.

Reaper's Scorn [Gran Soren - 23]

Across from the pawn guild, is a small house with a guy standing next to his dead son. Talk to the father and he will give you a Wakestone shard. He wants you to obtain a Wakestone, which can be found or created by finding 3 Wakestone shards. You can pretty much find them anywhere, but you can also buy them (30k each though) from Fournival or the Black Cat. Once you obtain 3 shards, it will automatically become a Wakestone. Talk to father again and use the Wakestone on his son.

(If you haven’t already, this will give you the The Savior trophy.)

The Cypher [Gran Soren - 23]

Given by Ser Maximilian. (Noble quarters, in front of the Dukes castle gate.) He will give you an ancient slate for you to translate. Go talk to the Black Cat shop owner. You’ll need to get it translated by the Dragonforged, who can be found at Hillfigure Knoll. (North-West from Gran Soren/West from Windbluff Tower.)

The Watergod's Altar [Gran Soren - 23]

Given by Ser Maximilian. (Noble quarters, in front of the Dukes castle gate.) Talk to Father Geffrey in the church at the Nobles quarter. He will tell you to meet up with the Survey party. Go to the Watergod’s Alter and talk to Haslett. Go into the ruins. Follow the path until you can’t continue. Don’t jump in the water. It won’t kill you, but you’ll get set back to land.

Go to the stairs on the left and find the lever. Now go back to where you came from and use the lever to lower the bridge. Follow the path on the left and move to the room in the back. Investigate the body on the ground. Before going back to Haslett, kill the Cyclops, it will drop a ‘key’ you need. Report back to Haslett and he will tell you to find the ancient slates. Go back inside and follow the path. Now take the first right and open the door with the key from the Cyclops. These slates are marked on the map and all of them are found in chests. These slates are very heavy (about 15 in weight each), so give some of them to your pawns if needed. Once you’ve found all 5, head back out and talk to Haslett once more. Afterwards report back to Maximilian.

(Met the Duke the first time.)

An Innocent Man [Cassardis - 1]

Find the child in Cassardis at the beach. He will tell you they captured his dad. Go to Gran Soren and inquire information. Easiest done by talking to the guard at the Noble Quarter. They tell you he’s in the Dukes castle dungeon. You’ll need to head there and free him.

For this you’ll need 2 Skeleton keys. These can be bought from the Black Cat. You can also get a 100% drop from a chest located near Noble Quarters. If you go right when you exit the Castle gates and follow the path that leads to the Pawn guild, you’ll need to open 2 gates first and head down the stairs. If you look on your right, you’ll see a chest in the corner. This holds the Skeleton key.

First open the door where the father is held. Then the door opposite of it and escape through the tunnels. The boy will be waiting outside.

Farewell, Valmiro [Cassardis - 1]

Complete ‘Dying of Curiosity’ first. Find Valmiro at the boats again, close to the docks. He wants to leave Gransys and adventure to different places. He will ask you for a few items. You can choose to find these 1 after each other, or find them all at once so you can complete this quest pretty much immediately.

  • Potent Greenwarish: Pretty much any shop.
  • Lantern: Pretty much any shop.
  • Pilgrim's Charm: Madeleine, Fournival.
  • Kept Sour Ambrosial Meat: If you find a Ambrosial Meat, rest for a few days and let it turn into Sour Ambrosial Meat. Then combine it with an Airtight Flask (can be bought at many shops) to make a Kept Sour Ambrosial Meat.
(Sour Ambrosial Meat has a 100% spawn in a destroyable crate in the middle of the ancient quarry.
Watch the following video for its exact location.)

Arousing Suspicion [Gran Soren - 23]

After meeting the Duke, go to the entrance of the castle. The camera will zoom in on Aelinore. Talk to her a few times until you give her your hat. Then afterwards go to Mirabelle in the Castle (entrance) and start the quest. (If she isn’t there, rest a day at the Inn). Don’t worry about the outcome of this quest. You’ll still be able to visit the Castle and the duke to complete all the necessary quests.

Idol Worship [Gran Soren - 23]

Start this at the Blacksmith of Gran Soren. He will ask for an Idol. You need to find a Golden, Silver or Bronze Idol. Any will work. The better the Idol, the more new armor he'll sell. Once you obtain one of them, you can make a forgery and give him a fake one and use the real one for Madeleine. He will notice a forgery.)

  • Gold: ‘Escort Duty’ Quest from Fournival.
  • Silver: Gran Soren, Pawn Guild Notice Board. Start the 'Put the Eye Out' quest.
  • Bronze 1/2: Left of the Dragonforged in his cave at the Hillfigure Knoll (West from Windbluff Tower)
  • Bronze 2/2: In the window of the Witch's house in Witchwood.

Or watch the following video.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-H5PXk0pp4]Dragon's Dogma - All Idol Locations (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Cursed) - YouTube[/ame]

Supplier's Demand [Gran Soren - 23]

Find Madeleine at her store, close to the Black Cat. She will ask for an Idol. This whole quest is the same as the 'Idol Worship' quest, given to you by the blacksmith. Madeleine will sell more weapons instead.

Rise of the Fallen [Gran Soren - 23]

Given to you by Ser Maximilian (the guard in front of the Duke castle gate). Rest till nightfall and go to the marked location on your map. Jump down and go under the bridge. After the cutscene, you can choose to take the key by force or by paying him 10k. Paying 10k is unnecessary, as by force won’t do anything other than getting a free key.

Now go to the catacombs and use the key on the door which you previously couldn’t open. (Normally you had to go left. There are many zombies behind the gate.) You’ll find a door which requires 5 gems to open it. Turn around and go left and explore the whole area there. All of the gems are found in coffins, so open any you find. Once you’ve found all 5, open the door.

Be careful though. You’ll have to fight a sorcerer. He isn’t that hard, but he summons many skeletons, which can become quite overwhelming. Kill him, pick up the loot and report back to Maximilian.

The Conspirators [Gran Soren - 23]

In the Duke’s Castle, talk to Fedel. The short fat guy in white clothing. He wants you to retrieve a letter. You’ll need to find it in Soulflayer canyon.

To find the letters, go all the way to the West entrance of the canyon. From there, walk inwards on the canyon. When the path splits, go left. You can choose to fight the Cyclops or move on. Be careful though, you or either your pawns can easily get knocked off the passage, causing instant death. Follow the path and when you slide down, stick to the left, else you’ll have to walk all the way back. Slide down again when you turn and afterwards you need to slide down once more, stick to the right this time. The letter and random pieces of paper are laying on the floor. Make sure you pick up the letter. Also, be careful of the Gargoyel.

Go back to the Castle. The camera will focus on a knight. He will ask you to give the letter to him. You can choose to give it to him, Fedel, or forge the letter and give it to both for double the quest reward. It doesn’t really matter to who you give the letter.

Witch Hunt [Gran Soren - 23]

Go to the Fountain Square. Someone will be talking about a witch to a few others. Listen to the conversation and the quest will automatically start. Go to the Witchwood and find the witch her home. You’ll see a crowd of people. The Golem will come to life. Defeat it and a passage to a new area in Witchwood opens up. Find Elene and talk to both her and the other person.

The Dragon's Tongue [Witchwood - 5]

If you’ve completed the ‘The Witchhunt’ quest, a tablet will appear on the grave where you’ve finished that quest. (If you don’t see it, leave and come back. Rest a day at an Inn.) Pick up the tablet and the guy next to it will talk to you. Go to the Dragonforged and let him translate the tablet. The tablet will change into a ring with which you can raise someone’s affinity to maximum.

Mettle Against Metal [Witchwood - 5]

If you’ve completed the ‘The Witchhunt’ quest, behind the grave at the cliff, you can see many Golems laying on the floor. Walk towards the Golem on the small island in the river and the quest will start. If it doesn’t, leave Witchwood (sleep at an Inn) and return.

It’s no ordinary Golem, it’s a metal golem. To defeat it, you’ll have to destroy the crystals floating in the air. These are spread out all along the river. You can’t seem to damage these with magick attacks, so use normal attacks. However, there’s at least 1 crystal high up in the air, close to a tree, which you can only reach with a Strider/Ranger/Assassin class because of their bow. Magick Archer bows won’t work. Also, pawns are kinda stupid when it comes to crystals, so you might want to switch to one of these vocations yourself for a while. (However, a Strider/Ranger Pawn with Mettle Against Metal/Steal Golem knowledge will work. However, it might take some time before they target the crystal. A Ranger pawn would be the better choice.)

Continued.

(Met the Duke the first time.)

Nameless Terror [Gran Soren - 23]

Leave Gran Soren from where you first entered the city. A guard will mention a group of assassins. These assassins will show up at 4 different locations at night. Once all four have been dealt with (can be done in any order), you’ll be able to find the leader and kill him to finish the quest.

  • Ambush Location 1: Cross the first bridge you encounter west from Gran Soren.
  • Ambush Location 2: At the Ancient Quarry.
  • Ambush Location 3: When walking to The Mountain Waycastle via the mountain roads. (Close to a cage on top. You’ve came across here when escorting the Hydra head.)
  • Ambush Location 4: Follow the road between The Mountain Waycastle and the Encampment.
  • Ambush Location 5 (Leader): At the gate of Cassardis.

Supply & Demands [Windbluff Tower - 36]

At Windbluff Tower, north from Gran Soren, talk to Ser Daerio. He will ask for more supplies. Deliver his message to one of the guards at the Castle, Ser Julien, who’s also at the castle, or both. If you select a week worth of supplies for both and finish this quest and talk to Ser Daerio again, he will give you the key to a locked area at Windbluff Tower (he’s facing it).

Talent In Bloom [The Abbey - 19]

The Abbey is a church west of Gran Soren, in the forest area. Talk to Quinna to start this quest. She’s the girl that wears no hat. She won’t have a quest mark above her head, so don’t go looking for that. She will give you a flower. You can give it to anyone, even her. Once you gave it to someone, speak to Quinna again.

A Parting Gift [The Abbey - 19]

If you’ve completed the ‘Talent in Bloom’ quest, you can talk to Clarus to start the quest. If you can’t however, leave the area and rest at an Inn and come back. (You can also enter and exit the Rift by using the Rift Stone at the Abbey instead. Thank you for the tip scaryice82.) She will want you to find a Pilgrims Charm. The easiest way would be to buy one from Madeleine or Fournival, which can be both found in Gran Soren.

Thick as Thieves [Ruins of Heavenspeak Fort - 30]

Go to the Ruins of Heavenspeak Fort and either talk to Ophis or Betiah.

If you talk to Ophis, you and all your pawns need to be either female, or wear female clothing. (You can buy them at the Black Cat in Gran Soren.) If you talk to Ophis, you need to head to the Ruins of Aernst Castle and kill 10 male bandits. (If you wear 'Maul’s Badge of Amity' on you, no one will attack you, except for the person you just attacked. Can be obtained by completing the "No Honour Among Thieves" quest.)

If you talk to Betiah, you’ll need to feed a Goblin to her pet Ogre. Goblins can be found near the pet’s place. Kill one and grab it by pressing :r2: and put it down close to the Cyclops.

Bad Business [Gran Soren - 23]

After completing all of Aldous tasks, go to Madeleine’s shop. Madeleine will be gone and there will be a girl waiting. (This quest will only trigger if you've escorted Madeleine to the Encampment before, in the 'Guard Duty' quest in Cassardis. Thanks personausermike.) Talk to her to start the quest. Also, grab the daggers from the counter. Now inquire about her whereabouts. Once a quest marker appears, once you get close a guard will ask you if you’ve seen her. Reply no. Now exit Gran Soren via the aquaducts. You’ll see Madeleine waiting outside. She will ask for her daggers. Once you’ve given her daggers, the guards will show up and ask if you’ve seen her. Reply no again. Talk to Madeleine once more and she will ask for 50k in Gold. Give it to her.

Duchess in Distress [Gran Soren - 23]

After meeting Duke Edmun for the first time, you'll be able to start the 'Arousing Suspicion' quest by talking to Mirabelle. Simply complete this quest at nightfall. Don't worry about the outcome. You can still complete every quest Aldous and the Duke have for you.

Once you've finished all* quests given by Aldous, which are:

  • Trial and Tribulation
  • Griffin's Bane
  • Pride Before a Fall
  • The Wyrmking's Ring
  • Honor and treachery

He will ask you to talk to the Duke, who will give you the 'Reward and Responsibility' quest. Simply finish this quest and a new one will start automatically, called 'Deny Salvation'**.

Now go outside and find Mirabelle. She will give you the 'Duchess in Distress' quest. Equip the armor she gave you and go to the Blighted Manse all the in the most northern corner of the map. Go all the way to the top where you'll find Aelinore. You'll need to escort her out of the castle. She will open a gate for you that leads you under the castle. Be careful though. You don't have any pawns to aid you and you'll have to fight off some guards and many bandits.

*It's possible you can start 'Duchess in Distress' before completing all his tasks. Just keep an eye out on Mirabelle.

**Do NOT complete this quest if Aelinore has maximum affinity towards you, else 'Deny Salvation' will cancel out 'Duchess in Distriss', because of what happens at the end of the main story.

You can however, lower someone's affinity by attacking them. Once you leave jail, the next time you speak to them, the 'ring' sound should've disappeared.

I don't know what PS3T's stance is on this, but I would first consult the GT staff before using the map that is linked on your second page. That one is a straight rip-off from the Brady Games Strategy Guide.

[EDIT] Post, not page.

I'll remove it. Going to replace it with a map we made soon-ish anyway. Oh btw, I used your video for the Sour Meat location, you ok with that? (Credit given of course.)

Won't be able to make any big changes within a few minutes. It's 1AM and have to go to work tomorrow. You can bother Blaze if you want though :p As soon as I get back from work, I'll edit anything that needs to be changed.
