Introduction: Welcome to Dragon Ball Z Budokai HD, the first fighting game re-mastered for the PS3 of the popular anime TV shows Dragon Ball Z/GT. The HD Collection features both Dragon Ball Z Budokai 1 and Budokai 3 of its Dragon Ball Z Budokai franchise. In terms of trophies, the game shares one list among both games and is pretty straight forward as most trophies in the game are related to story mode and unlocking characters, which will come naturally as you play the game. If there is anything challenging about the game it would be in Budokai 3 with the addition of Dragon Arena that pits your Dragon Ball Z hero/villain build against the computers. Here is a step by step guide on the best way to get yourself the platinum. Walkthrough: Step 1: Clear Dragon Ball Z Budokai 1 Story Mode You will play through the story mode 2 times and unlock characters as you move on. In the tournament fights, you should always aim to ring out your opponent to make the fight faster, but be warned it may backfire and you may end up getting ringed out yourself. Budokai 3 Uub Clear Dragon Universe in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 with Uub This trophy is story related and cannot be missed. Finish Uub's story mode once. Budokai 3 Broly Clear Dragon Universe in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 with Broly This trophy is story related and cannot be missed. Finish Broly's story mode once. Budokai 3 Novice Champion Win World Tournament mode on Novice in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 Beat World Tournament on Novice difficulty. Please read "Budokai 3 Advanced Champion" for more information. Budokai 3 Adept Champion Win World Tournament mode on Adept in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 Beat World Tournament on Adept difficulty. You'll need to have 16 or more characters unlocked and have beaten Novice World Tournament. Then purchase Adept for 6,000 Zenie from the Skill Shop located in Skill Editing. Please read "Budokai 3 Advanced Champion" for more information. Budokai 3 Advanced Champion Win World Tournament mode on Advanced in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 You'll need to have 32 or more characters unlocked and have beaten Adept World Tournament. Then purchase Advance for 6,000 Zenie from the Skill Shop. Just like Budokai 1, the best way for you to win will be using the heart disease method consisting of the Senzu Bean, Heart Disease and the Vaccine which will bring down your opponent to half way health on the last bar. Unlike the first, you will have to manually activate Vaccine by holding and pressing twice. You then have two ways you can go about winning the match: first you can play it safe and wait for your opponent to be weakened and then go in for the kil,l or secondly you can always go for the faster way and ring out you enemy but be warned as it carries a risk as they can dodge you and knock you out instead. In case you do die, Senzu Bean will revive you at full health for a 2nd attempt but will not work if you get ringed out. Another strategy that you can do is have Goku equipped with SSJ4 + Kamehameha along with chilled juice, basically you will back away from your opponent at the start and use chilled juice and then transform into SSJ4 and spam Kamehameha. You can always use your own custom items set to win or play it fair and square and win with sheer skill if you're confident. Note: For Vaccine, you can find it in Vegeta's playthrough in the Android Saga by visiting Goku's House. For Heart Disease, you can find it in Goku's playthrough or as a random item in the field. Also you can find both of them in shop for 6,000 Zenie but they are rare and will take some time. Budokai 3 Cell Games Champion Win the Cell Games in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 To unlock Cell Games you have to first completed the Advanced World Tournament and then go to Dragon Arena and have Cell break in and challenge you. All you have to do is enter and quit until you get your break in and don't have to play the matches till then. You must be fighting opponents in the level 51-55 range which means you need to be at least level 21+. As for strategies on beating the Cell games, you can just use the same strategies as you used in Budokai 3 Advanced Champion. Also, in Cell games you can NOT be ringed out. Budokai 3 Goku's Family Unlock Goku (Kid), Gohan (Teen, Adolescent, Saiyaman), and Goten in Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3 Kid Goku - For Kid Goku, there are two ways for you to unlock him: first is you'll need to be playing Goku's story a 2nd time and after you beat Raditz you need to go to Grandpa's Gohan House located in the very east of the main continent and unlock him there, second is to finish Broly's playthrough. Here is a picture where the island is: Uub - You'll need to hit Kid Buu with Spirit Bomb with Goku and win the clash in which Goku will turn Super Saiyan meaning that you did it right. Be sure to at least have the following equipped: Spirit Bomb, Super Saiyan and Kaioken. Note: Do NOT go Super Saiyan because your Ultimate changes. Afterwards you will get a extended arc that is the 14th battle against Uub. Important: Before the fight you should head towards the furthest island South East and pick up the SSJ4 Capsule for Goku if you wish to get all the Budokai 3 Fierce Warriors trophy in one run in Goku's 2nd playthrough. Here is a picture where the island is: After that just head towards the World Tournament to the West and beat Uub. Arturia
How do you unlock the Viral Heart Disease and Vaccine capsules in Budokai 3? Good guide btw. I like how you added in the maps. There a few ways to unlock them, for Heart Disease its by the shop and another is in Goku playthrough or randomly finding it in the field. For Vaccine you can find it also in shop but also in a Vegeta playthrough in the android saga when u visit goku's house. There both rare in shop so it will take a while to get them.
