Welcome to Dragon Age: Origins. If you've played an RPG from Bioware before, you know what to expect. Think Jade Empire or Knights of the Old Republic as opposed to Mass Effect.

Playthrough 1: Origins

When you're setting up your character, your first real decision is your choice of gender and of class (Warrior, Mage, or Rogue). Warrior and Rogue are much easier than the Mage. Choose whichever of the three you want. I'd play with the Warrior or Rogue the first time so you can get used to the combat and the game as a whole. Next, you'll choose your background. If you select Warrior or Rogue, you'll have five Origins open to you (all except Mage). Play through the game collecting all of the party members (see Recruiter) and finding as many locations (see Traveler) as possible.

There are eight main quests in the game. In all of them, there are decisions to make that will affect the outcome of the game. On your first playthrough, make your selections based on what you think is best. You can save right before you make these choices, do them, quit, and reload to go back and get the other trophy, but where's the fun in that? You're going to have to essentially play through three times anyway.

The one spot where I'll recommend saving, quitting, and reloading is with the endings. There are four possible endings (see Perfectionist). Make the correct decisions and talk to certain people at the right time, and you'll get everything ok. It is possible to make an extra save, reload, make a different choice, and redo "The Final Battle" to get a different ending. If you're impatient, then you can go that route.

As far as the romances, you may be able to get up to four in one playthrough. It's difficult and you'll need to have a lot go right in terms of how you deal with the four romantic options though. The easiest way would be to do two each in different playthroughs. With some effort, you can set up a three-some or even a four-some with Isabella at The Pearl in Denerim. Two of the characters require you to be a specific sex to complete the romance plot (Morrigan and Alistair). The other two (Leliana and Zevran) you can be either sex. See Hopelessly Romantic for more details.

Traveler is a frustrating trophy. There is a very specific list that you will need to follow to get this trophy. It's not every location on the map, but certain important ones. Don't pay as much attention to your percentage in the stats screen. Check off where you've been. As long as you visit all of those locations (in addition to all of those along the main story), you shouldn't have any trouble.

Take your character up to level 20 and get as many Darkspawn kills as you can. It's possible to get all 1000 in the first playthrough, but if not, don't stress as the Darkspawn kills stack across all of your playthroughs. To get your level up higher, do every quest that is available to you. Get kills. If you're a Rogue, disable traps and pick locks.

The majority of your trophies should come in this playthrough (I ended up with 40/55).

Playthrough 2: The Mirror Image

Whatever you did in your first playthrough, then do the opposite. If you chose to be a male the first time, then be a female. If you chose to be a Warrior, then be a Mage. If you sided with one faction, then side with the other. Finish the other two romances as well. If you didn't find all locations the first time, then you'll want to this time. Be sure to follow the list with Traveler. Most of those come in the main story, but a few others you have to go out of your way to find them.

Playthrough 3+: Polishing

Start out by finishing off the other Origin stories if you haven't already. They take about an hour each. Once you're finished, select the third character class you haven't played yet and reach level 20. Also do any of the random trophies that you have left (romances, speech, crafting, Heavy Hitter). This playthrough will be your mop up game. Anything that's left, get them here (including if you've missed an ending).

The One Playthrough Method

Here, you'll be making strategic saves during the storyline so that you don't have to playthrough completely a second time. You WILL have to play a small part of the game a second time, but only enough so that you can complete the romance with Morrigan.

Start with a female Rogue (origin doesn't matter). Pour points in Cunning, Strength, and Dexterity. Make your character an archer so that Heavy Hitter is easier. Complete the Persuasion and Pinning Shot talent lines. Do enough sidequests so that you'll be able to level up over 20 easily. The guide will have the details of when to save and reload.

Download Awakening or The Golems of Amgarrak. Start a new game in either with the Warrior and then the Mage. In Awakening, you'll start at level 18. Once you level up to 20, the trophies will unlock. In Golems, you'll start at level 20, but you have to level up to 21 for the trophy to unlock.

DLC: Spirits, Stone, and Vengeance

Estimated Time: Warden's Keep (30-45 minutes), The Stone Prisoner (1.5-2 hours), Return to Ostagar (45-60 minutes)

Note: You do NOT need to complete these trophies for the platinum. If you want 100% in the game, you will need to complete them though.

You'll have the opportunity to finish the DLC after you complete the game (depending on which ending you choose). There's no need to go out of your way to complete either "The Stone Prisoner" or "Warden's Keep" during the main quests. However, the companion you get from "The Stone Prisoner" is well worth going out of your way to get. Shale proved invaluable to me throughout the game. Shale was in party for essentially the entire game after the quest was over. "The Stone Prisoner" is meant to be played during your main quest as the other "Stone Prisoner" quest is unlocked during one of the main ones (see Liberator or Pragmatist).

If you've already completed the game, you'll be able to do this in the Epilogue. Either way, head to the new location on your map (Bann Loren's Estate) to begin "Return to Ostagar". Once you arrive there and complete the conversations, you'll be able to head back to Ostagar. The rest is pretty linear. Pick up King Cailan's armor as you find it. After you kill the ogre that gets you the trophy, you'll be finished.

The most interesting thing about "Return to Ostagar" is Cailan's chest. It's not required for anything, but it's interesting nonetheless. I'll describe the location for you until I can find a suitable map. On the western side of the Ostagar bridge (where you start this DLC set) is where the chest and the key are. The key is just to the north of the bridge entrance in a pile of rubble. The chest is to the south of the bridge entrance in between two spiked, wooden walls.

Expansion: Awakening

Estimated Time: 6-10 hours

The first thing you need to know about Awakening is that you lose any and all DLC items except for the ones from "Return to Ostagar". If you were like me and had the Knight Commander's armor and Starfang (both from "Warden's Keep) equipped, you'll start off unarmed and in your underwear. Hardly a fitting welcome for the Hero of Fereldan, but there's nothing that can be done. Just make sure to get back whatever items you want from your companions in the Epilogue before importing your character. The only items that carry over are from "Return to Ostagar" and what is on the disk. No "Warden's Keep" and no "Stone Prisoner" items. The good news: all of your gold, potions, attributes, talents, skills, and experience points carry over.

In terms of your character, you have a choice. You can either import a character from Origins or go with the Awakening character. Whichever you choose is totally up to you, but if you want the trophy for hitting level 30, importing a character that has a nice head start isn't a bad idea.

Most of the trophies follow the main storyline. Complete the plot-related quests for the trophies. Be sure to do plenty of side quests for more experience points. The one trophy that is outside of the storyline is The Enduring Vigil. See that trophy's tips for more details.

If you want all of this done in one playthrough, then make sure to create an extra save after the third story quest. You'll have to make a choice at this point of the game and unless you want to play through Awakening again, make an extra save.

DLC: An Alternate Ending and a Prologue

Estimated Time: Darkspawn Chronicles (1-2 hours), Leliana's Song (1 hour)

Note: You do NOT need to complete these trophies for the platinum. If you want 100% in the game, you will need to complete them though.

The "Darkspawn Chronicles" provides an alternate ending for the story of Origins and an interesting what-if scenario, What if your character died during the Joining process? This DLC is very similar to the final battle of Origins, but you're just on the other side. The trophies are pretty straightforward for this. One is guaranteed, but the other two you'll have to do a bit of work for. One thing that you will have to do is keep the first Ogre you are asked to save. There is one section where you are separated from it. When you open the gates to free it, two will appear. Enthrall the first one that goes through the gate and you'll have your Ogre back.

The other trophy that you'll go out of your way for is to enthrall every type of Darkspawn. It works like romance in Origins (and yes, you can give your Darkspawn buddies gifts), but killing gets their approval up. There are only six types that you have to enthrall, so you'll have to kill them once their approval is at the maximum. There is a spot shortly after you free the Ogre where enemies spawn infinitely. That's as good a spot as any to farm some approval.

"Leliana's Song" provides the back story for her character. You'll learn about the history with Marjorlaine and how she came to the Chantry that was briefly mentioned in Origins. Again, the trophies are straightforward. One is story related and the two you'll have to do a bit of collecting for.

When it comes to ruining the Guard Captain, thoroughly search the marketplace for every questionable item you can find. Plant all of those on his unconscious body and you'll get it while speaking with Marjorlaine. For the Battledress, you'll have to search for items throughout most of the DLC. Keep searching behind every locked door and in every locked treasure chest. There are only six that you have to find. Most of them are just a little out of the way though.

DLC: Golems and Loose Ends

Estimated Time: The Golems of Amgarrak (1-2 hours), Witch Hunt (1 hour)

Note: You do NOT need to complete these trophies for the platinum. If you want 100% in the game, you will need to complete them though.

The Golems of Amgarrak is the most difficult test you'll face in DA:O. The story isn't overly complex and the puzzles aren't too hard, but the Harvester has given quite a few people fits. As you're going through Amgarrak, you'll have to backtrack quite a bit to find all of the research notes. Find these. They will be immensely helpful against the Harvester. There are only six, but they will power up your golem and make it an extremely valuable ally.

The Harvester itself, good luck. You can change the difficulty right before you face him to Hard or Nightmare. That's about the last easy part in the fight though. Take down it's first form as quickly as possible. Take the fight near the pedestal and select anytime skeletons appear to get rid of them. Once you're through the first form, you'll be fine as the second form is much easier.

Finally, the final piece to the Origins puzzle, the return of Morrigan. The story is pretty linear, then it branches a bit. It ends on one path, so multiple playthroughs aren't necessary. The only section that you really have to pay attention is during Cadaish Thaig. There are four notes that you have to look out for. All of the other trophies are along the storyline.

The Varterral is the boss that has to be done on Hard or Nightmare here. Compared to the Harvester though, this one is a breeze. Again, you can switch the difficulty just before facing it. Hammer away at it. Keep your party's heal pretty high, and you'll make it through without much trouble.

After that comes your long awaited reunion with Morrigan. Whatever you decide, the story of Origins is now closed. Whether there will be more DLC in the future is unknown. With the Morrigan question answered, I'd say that the book is closed.

You'll have to get on the good side of the humans in Redcliffe, the Dalish Elves, the Dwarves, and the Mages/Templars. Once you complete those quests, return to Castle Redcliffe and speak to the Arl. Tell the Arl to begin the Landsmeet and watch the cutscene.

This is a very long quest that will see you traverse the map several times. You''ll travel to "Redcliffe Village" to begin this series of quests. After you help the people of Redcliffe and take back their castle, your quest will become to save the Arl. This quest becomes intertwined with "The Urn of Sacred Ashes" here. spacer.png Mercenary (B)

Complete 15 job-board quests

Each town (Lothering, Redcliffe, and Demerin) has job boards posted in front of their Chantries. You can also find jobs for the Mage's Collective from their Liaisons in Denerim and at Lake Calenhad. Redcliffe and Denerim also have the The Blackstone Irregulars that you can do jobs for. Finally, in Denerim at the tavern in the Market, you can jobs for less reputible people. Complete 15 of these quests for this trophy. Most are pretty simple and don't take nearly as long as the main story quests.

spacer.png Recruiter (B)

Across all playthroughs, recruited all party members

The party members that you have to recruit are: Alistair (Ostagar), Morrigan (Kocari Wilds), Leliana (Lothering), Sten (Lothering), "Dog" (Human Noble origin and in Ostagar), Zevran (encounter after Redcliffe), Oghren (Orzammar), Wynne (Mage's Circle Tower), and Loghain (after "The Landsmeet"). Be aware, if you accept Loghain into your party, then Alistair will leave it forever.

Shale is not be required for this. If you have the "Stone's Prisoner" DLC, recruit him anyway because he's extremely valuable.

spacer.png Hopelessly Romantic (B)

Across all playthroughs, experienced all possible romances

Complete the romance stories with Morrigan, Leliana, Zevran, and Alistair. For Morrigan, your character needs to be male. For Alistair, your character needs to be female. For Leliana and Zevran, your character can be either male or female. When you reach a certain level (track your progress with the meter below their Character Record), you will slowly approach the end of the romance. You need to get the meter as high as possible (Leliana for example is close to maxed out, Zevran doesn't take nearly as much). You'll do a quest for them, then share a kiss, and then...

For an easy way to gain points with them, go into your inventory, and scroll over to the "Other" list. Anything that says "Gift" in purple can be given to any potential romantic interest. Just use :r1: to scroll over to the character you're interested in, highlight which item you're going to give her, and press :cross: to give it to him. The best items vary from character to character. See First Knight, Witch Gone Wild, Easy Lover, and Wine, Woman, and Song for more details.

You'll probably need two playthroughs for this, but it may be possible to do this in one. If you have a high enough affection with each of the four, have been romantic with at least one of them, none of them are jealous, and have a high enough coercion talent and cunning ability, then you may be able to pull off a foursome with Isabella in The Pearl in Denerim.

The Feast Day gifts DLC also give huge approval bonuses. See the individual trophies for details.

spacer.png Perfectionist (B)

Across all playthroughs, discovered all possible endings

This is all going to depend on the decisions you make and who you side with throughout your playthroughs. You should be able to get this in two playthroughs. You should be able to save in Fort Drakon, play out the quest, quit, and reload doing the opposite and this should unlock. For now, that is unconfirmed. Below in the spoiler tags, is the list of what you have to do. Do not read if you don't want things spoiled for you.

  • Morrigan performs the ritual that saves you.
  • You sacrifice yourself to save Ferelden. You'll have to speak to Loghain or Alistair in Fort Drakon telling them you are going to sacrifice yourself.
  • Loghain sacrifices himself to save Ferelden. Speak to Loghain in Fort Drakon and tell it's best he sacrifices himself.
  • Alistair sacrifices himself to save Ferelden. Speak to Alistair in Fort Drakon and tell him to sacrifice himself.

One Playthrough Method: Utilize the extra saves made with Morrigan's offer and the extra save before heading to The Landsmeet. Also make an extra save at the autosave point on the second floor of Fort Drakon. If you only need two endings, then great. If you need more, use the extra saves strategically to hit all of the requirements.

spacer.png Educated (B)

Used a tome to improve the main character's attributes, talents, spells, or skills

At random spots in the game, you'll find these tomes that can improve your character. They will be in the "Usable Items" section of your inventory. Press :select: then :r2: to get to your inventory. Push :right: to get your Usable Items list. The tomes will be at the bottom beneath all of your potions. Highlight and press :cross: to use it, then :circle: to leave the menu.

spacer.png The Ultimate Sacrifice (G)

The ultimate sacrifice was made in defense of Ferelden

Note: If you go this route, Morrigan will leave your party.

Note 2: Even if you aren't the one to make the sacrifice (see Perfectionist), then this will unlock.

After "The Landsmeet" ends, travel to Redcliffe. You will find out what the fate of the Grey Wardens is. Morrigan will offer you the chance of going through a dark ritual the night before the battle. Refuse her. Then complete "The Final Battle". There's nothing special to "The Final Battle" other than surviving waves upon waves of Darkspawn.

Once you make your way to the top of Fort Drakon, the fun begins. This isn't quite the same as your other encounters with dragons. The Archdemon is much, much tougher. Plus, you'll have to deal with a few waves of Darkspawn that run out of the Fort. Call in support troops (see Defender for moe details) to help out. There are also several ballistas around the roof. Get behind one, push :cross: to rotate it so it's aimed at the Archdemon and fire away. You can basically stand behind the ballista, and pushing :cross: when it's ready to fire over and over, only moving away from it when there are Darkspawn near.

One Playthrough Method: After discussing what to do in Redcliffe, make an extra save. In one, refuse Morrigan, complete the game, and then reload. Accept Morrigan's offer.

spacer.png A Dark Promise (G)

Defeated the Archdemon and, through a dark ritual with Morrigan, spared your own life

After "The Landsmeet" ends, travel to Redcliffe. You will find out what the fate of the Grey Wardens is. Morrigan will offer you the chance of going through a dark ritual the night before the battle. Accept it. Then complete "The Final Battle". There's nothing special to "The Final Battle" other than surviving waves upon waves of Darkspawn.

See The Ultimate Sacrifice for more details about this quest.

spacer.png Magic Sympathizer (B)

Sided with the Mages in 'Broken Circle'

To begin this quest, head to the Lake Calenhad Docks and take the ferry to Circle Tower. Once you get on the ferry, there's no turning back. You'll have to finish "Broken Circle". Part way through the tower, you'll be sent into the Fade. There are six "stages" that you must complete, each with a demon. Four of these also have dreaming Templars and Mages that will give you a Shapeshifting ability. After destroying these demons, you have to rescue the other three members of your party, then fight the Sloth Demon. After escaping the Fade, you'll meet an imprisoned Templar on the way up to the blood mage. He'll ask you to kill all of the Mages. Refuse him and elect to spare the mages.

During the fight, the blood mage will attempt to turn the other captured mages into sloth demons. If you don't use the Litany of Andraste to protect them, you could be unwittingly forced into Annulment Invoker if you're not careful. The Litany protects the mages and prevents the blood mage from corrupting them. Use it every chance you have to protect them.

One Playthrough Method: At the imprisoned templar, make an additional save. On one, don't bother saving the mages. Reload and make sure all of the mages live. By choosing the Templars over the Mages, you'll lose Wynne. You want Wynne. Make sure she's with you.

spacer.png Annulment Invoker (B)

See Magic Sympathizer for more details about this quest.

Once you escape the Fade, then you have to face the blood mage that has overtaken the Tower. You'll meet an imprisoned Templar on the way up to the blood mage. He'll ask you to kill all of the Mages. Agree with him and kill them after the fight with the blood mage.

Once the fight is done and you have killed all of the Mages, return to the first floor of the Tower and say that the Tower is secure. The Templars will join your army as a result.

One Playthrough Method: At the imprisoned templar, make an additional save. On one, don't bother saving the mages. Reload and make sure all of the mages live. By choosing the Templars over the Mages, you'll lose Wynne. You want Wynne. Make sure she's with you.

spacer.png Slayer (B)

Sided with the werewolves in 'Nature of the Beast'

See Poacher for more details about this quest.

When you reach the end of the Werewolves' Lair, you'll be taken before the werewolves' leaders. Persuade them during the conversation to attack the Dalish Elves camp. You'll need to have the skill Expert Coercion (14 Cunning) to pull this off. Anything less, and they won't believe you. Once you convince them, you'll be taken the Elves camp. Wipe them out.

One Playthrough Method: In the room where first meet the shadow werewolves, make an additional save. In one, convince the werewolves to attack the elves. Reload and then convince the werewolves to negotiate.

spacer.png Poacher (B)

Sided with the elves in 'Nature of the Beast'

To begin this quest, go to the Brecilian Outskirts and speak to the Dalish Elves. Head into the Brecilian Forest. You'll be attacked by combinations of wolves, werewolves, bears, Darkspawn, and trees. Yes, trees. Find the Grand Oak and it'll ask (yes, ask) you to find it's acorn that was taken by a mad hermit mage. When you the hermit, you'll have to play his game. You can't attack him and take it. You have to play along. When you catch him, he'll offer you the acorn in a trade. Return it to the Grand Oak, and you'll be provided with a way to reach Witherfang. Make your way through the ruins to the werewolves.

When you reach the end of the ruins, you will be asked to return with Zathrian to negotiate. Side with Zathrian when asked and wipe out the werewolves.

One Playthrough Method: In the room where first meet the shadow werewolves, make an additional save. In one, convince the werewolves to attack the elves. Reload and then convince the werewolves to negotiate.

spacer.png Sacrilegious (B)

Sided with the Cult of Andraste in 'The Urn of Sacred Ashes'

Note: If you have Leliana in your party, she will turn on you and you'll be forced to fight her.

Towards the end of your search for the Urn to heal the Arl, you'll come across the Cult of Andraste. After fighting hordes of them, you'll meet one of them who wants to talk. He'll offer you the chance of helping the Cult and still being able to heal the Arl. Accept his offer and continue on to find the ashes. After desecrating the ashes. you'll be forced into a fight with the guardian and a couple of tough shades.

Whatever you do, DO NOT hit the gong. You won't be able to win the fight that comes until later in the game.

One Playthrough Method: When you meet the Cult in the caves, say that you'll help them. When you get to the Urn, make an additional save. Do what the Cult wants you to do. Reload, and then defy them.

spacer.png Bhelen's Ally (B)

Sided with Bhelen in 'A Paragon of Her Kind'

To begin this quest, head to the Frostback Mountains and gain entry to Orzammar. When you have to choice of whom to support to become the king, do the quest for Bhelen. Follow the line of quests that you receive for supporting Bhelen. Eventually, this quest will become intertwined with "Anvil of the Void." See Liberator and Pragmatist for more details.

After completing "The Anvil of the Void", return to Orzammar and choose Bhelen as the king of the dwarves. Despite doing quests for Bhelen, you will be given one last chance to change sides.

One Playthrough Method: Make an additional save before entering the Anvil of the Void. After siding with either Cairidin or Branka, choose one of the candidates to be king. Reload, complete the battle, and then choose the other.

spacer.png Harrowmont's Ally (B)

Sided with Harrowmont in 'A Paragon of Her Kind'

To begin this quest, head to the Frostback Mountains and gain entry to Orzammar. When you have to choice of whom to support to become the king, do the quest for Harrowmont. Follow the line of quests that you receive for supporting Harrowmont. Eventually, this quest will become intertwined with "Anvil of the Void." See Liberator and Pragmatist for more details.

After completing "The Anvil of the Void", return to Orzammar and choose Harrowmont as the king of the dwarves. Despite doing quests for Bhelen, you will be given one last chance to change sides.

One Playthrough Method: Make an additional save before entering the Anvil of the Void. After siding with either Cairidin or Branka, choose one of the candidates to be king. Reload, complete the battle, and then choose the other.

spacer.png Liberator (B)

Destroyed the Anvil of the Void

Whichever potential leader you chose to support will send you into the Deep Roads beneath Orzammar to find Branka and ask her to support your choice for king. After fighting legions of Darkspawn and other creatures, you'll find Branka. She'll get you to complete a series of trapped rooms to get to the Anvil. When you complete the rooms, you'll find Cairidin. He'll ask you to destroy the Anvil. Whether you choose to destroy it or not, you will have the means to put into place the new king.

By completing this and taking this path, you'll open up "A Golem's Memories" if you have "The Stone Prisoner" DLC.

One Playthrough Method: Make an additional save before entering The Anvil of the Void. Side with Branka first. Reload and then side with Cairidin. By choosing Branka, you'll lose Shale (assuming he's with you, and if you want to complete The Stone Prisoner, he's with you).

spacer.png Pragmatist (B)

Preserved the Anvil of the Void

Note: If you have Shale in your party when you do this, you'll be forced to fight it along with the other golems.

See Liberator for more details about this quest.

When you complete the rooms, you'll find Cairidin. He'll ask you to destroy the Anvil. Refuse him and side with Branka. Whether you choose to destroy it or not, you will have the means to put into place the new king.

One Playthrough Method: Make an additional save before entering The Anvil of the Void. Side with Branka first. Reload and then side with Cairidin. By choosing Branka, you'll lose Shale (assuming he's with you, and if you want to complete The Stone Prisoner, he's with you).

spacer.png Heavy Hitter (B)

Main character inflicted 250 damage with a single hit

As a Warrior and have a high strength and willpower. Get a two-handed weapon with runes on it to increase the damage you inflict. Have your party mates cast buffing spells on you. Use the Berserker skill “Final Blow”. Make sure you stamina bar is full as well.

As a Rogue, max out your Archery talents, especially the Pinning Shot line. Get to Arrow of Slaying as soon as you can. Use that talent in a fight and you'll easily do over 500 damage.

As a Mage, use Walking Virulent Bomb or Mana Clash on another Mage. Combining Spell Wisp, Spell Might, a high magic attribute, and two items that increases damage works as well (thanks to AstralBlades for that tip).

This needs to be done against one, single enemy. There have been quite a few times where I've damaged multiple opponents with my Mage or Rogue with damage well over 250. Remember, it's a single hit, not a single attack. You also need to do this with your main character. No switching to Shale. It won't count.

spacer.png Bloodied (B)

Completed an origin story without the main character ever falling in battle

This can be done on any of the Origin stories. Don't allow yourself to run out of health during any of the origin stories. Keep it up with health potions. Setting the game on Casual difficulty makes this extremely easy.

spacer.png Traveler (B)

Set foot in every area in the game

This has to be done in one playthrough. You'll need to hit every location on the main map, and the sub maps for the Deep Roads and Denerim. You'll need to do every main quest and quite a few side quests to visit all of them.

This trophy was recently confirmed to need the following places by Fleapants on the Bioware forums. Make sure to create an extra save before heading to the Royal Palace during "The Landsmeet". That's the point of no return. If for some reason Traveler doesn't unlock for you, then here is the complete list of locations in the game.

If you still need additional help, ZOLANTON wrote a detailed list of all of the locations in the game here.

Redcliffe:

  • Blacksmith's home
  • Dwyn's home
  • Kaitleyn's home
  • Kaitleyn's home, second floor (ask the boy what he was doing there)
  • Tavern
  • General store

Denerim:

  • The Pearl
  • Gnarled Noble Tavern
  • Wonders of Thedas
  • Warden's Cache (ask Riordan after finding his documents when freeing Anora)
  • Wade's Emporium
  • Dirty Back Alley
  • Rundown Back Streets
  • Dark Alley (the last three are from "Back Alley Justice" sidequest you get from the Denerim chantry)
  • Orphanage in the Alienage

Lothering:

  • Dane's Refuge (this is the tavern where you meet Leliana)

Haven (both of these are easily missed):

  • Haven house near the entrance
  • Haven General Store (at the top of the hill)

Orzammar:

  • Proving Grounds (in the Commons)
  • Shaperate (in the Diamond Quarter)
  • Janar Armorers
  • Figor's Imports (Unlocks after choosing the new king)

Final Battle:

  • Fort Drakon rooftop

spacer.png Master of Arms (S)

Main character achieved level 20 as a warrior

You'll need a whole lot of experience points and you won't hit level 20 until late in the game. Kills, of course, get you XP. Do every side quest that you can. There are quite a few to be found. You'll need 135,000 XP to reach level 20. This is a long grind, but you should reach level 20 before the end of the game.

Fortunately, this is made even easier by DLC. If you have Awakening, then just start a new character in one of the classes that you don't have. You'll start at level 18. It's a short grind up to level 20. If you download The Golems of Amgarrak, it's even easier. You'll start at level 20. Once you level up to 21, the trophy will unlock. Even more amazing is that it gets even easier with further DLC. If you have Witch Hunt, all you have to do is start a new character and the level 20 trophies will pop.

spacer.png Shadow (S)

Main character achieved level 20 as a rogue

See Master of Arms for more details.

spacer.png Archmage (S)

Main character achieved level 20 as a mage

See Master of Arms for more details.

spacer.png Dragonslayer (S)

Defeated the dragon guarding the Urn of Sacred Ashes

Here you go. This is why you don't hit the gong when you get to the Urn. This dragon is damn hard. Get everyone to use fire resistant salves before hitting the gong. Have one or two warriors with you. Adjust their tactics to be defensive, but still attacking. If you have two, set one to Ranged. They're going to take the brunt of the battle. Have Wynne with you as a healer. Adjust your healers tactics so that they're set to Healer. Pay attention to your Warrior's health and switch to them when you need to (:l1:or :r1:).

If you find yourself as the last one, then play keep away. The dragon is powerful as it is, is stupid. It'll keep going back and forth to the same spots. Keep running between the same couple of spots when the dragon takes off. It'll take a bit of time to get, but once the dragon is beaten, it's oh so sweet. Enjoy the loot it drops too.

spacer.png Pilgrim (B)

Completed a Chanter's Board quest

After you leave Ostagar, you'll head for Lothering. In the town, you'll find a Chanter's Board with a quest available. Simply approach the board, accept the quest, and complete it. The quest should be something relatively simple, like "Kill x bandits."

spacer.png Grey Warden (B)

Killed 100 darkspawn

This will come naturally as you progress through the story. The Darkspawn are your primary enemies. As long as someone in your party kills a Darkspawn, it counts towards this trophy. The Darkspawn kills count across all of your playthroughs. There's no need to go out of your way for this trophy.

Recent patches have screwed up these trophies a bit. You'll probably have to delete the patch and play offline to be able to earn the darkspawn kills trophies. For more info, visit this thread that spatters53 as put together.

spacer.png Master Warden (S)

Killed 500 darkspawn

See Grey Warden for more details.

spacer.png Blight-Queller (G)

Killed 1000 darkspawn

See Grey Warden for more details.

spacer.png Defender (B)

Preserved the lives of half the troops at Denerim's Gates in "The Final Battle"

During "The Final Battle", you'll gain the option to call in support troops (:l2:, then select Advanced, the choices are listed on the bottom of the radial menu) from the human, dwarven, or elven armies, or a group of mages. The total will vary depending on who you side with. As long as more than half survive by the time you reach Fort Drakon, this will unlock.

spacer.png Tinkerer (B)

Crafted an item

Open your radial menu with the :l2: button and select "Potions" (9 o'clock) or "Poisons and Traps" (8 o'clock) and push :cross:. If you selected "Potions", select "Herbalism" and if you selected "Poisons and Traps", select "Poison-Making". If you have the necessary materials, you'll be able to craft an item here. You'll find the materials scattered throughout Fereldan. Search bodies and plants for the materials. You'll find some for sale from merchants as well.

Below are the potions, poisons, and traps you can make with the first level skill. As you move to Improved, Expert, and Master, more recipes become available. These are the easiest though. Be aware that you'll have to buy flasks from merchants.

Potions

Lesser Health Poultice: 1 Elfroot, 1 Flask

Lesser Lyrium Potion: 1 Lyrium Dust, 1 Flask

Mabari Crunch: 1 Elfroot, 1 Deep Mushroom

Poisons

Venom: 1 Toxin Extract, 1 Flask

Deathroot Extract: 1 Deathroot, 1 Flask

Traps

Rope Trap: 1 Trap Trigger

Small Caltrop Trap: 1 Metal Shard

Small Claw Trap: 1 Metal Shard, 1 Trap Trigger

Small Shrapnel Trap: 1 Metal Shard, 1 Trap Trigger

spacer.png Persuasive (B)

Succeeded at five difficult Persuasion attempts

When you see a conversation option with (Persuade) before it, choose that. Select five of those end up being successful and you'll have this trophy. The four Coercion skills (Coercion, Improved Coercion, Expert Coercion, and Master Coercion) are very important for this, as is the number of skill points you have assigned to Cunning.

spacer.png Silver Tongued (B)

Succeeded at 25 difficult Persuasion attempts

See Persuasive for more details. This is the same idea, just 25 instead of five.

spacer.png Bully (B)

Succeeded at five difficult Intimidate attempts

When you see a conversation option with (Intimidate) before it, choose that. Intimidate options are a little rarer than Persuade, so do it whenever you see one. Select five of those that end up being successful and you'll have this trophy. The four Coercion skills (Coercion, Improved Coercion, Expert Coercion, and Master Coercion) are very important for this, as is the number of skill points you have assigned to Strength.

spacer.png Menacing (B)

Succeeded at 10 difficult Intimidate attempts

See Bully for more details. It's the same idea, just 10 instead of five.

You'll need to be a female character to complete this romance. Alistair will join your party shortly after you enter Ostagar. Speak to him every chance you get in the Party's Camp and do every speech option. Flirt with him. Talk about love with him. You can boss him around a bit, just don't mock him. Ask him about his past as a templar.

When you do his side quest, choose to toughen him up more. Select the dialogue option "Everyone is out for themselves. You should learn that." and when you talk to him again after completing the quest, DO NOT choose "That's not what I meant. Don't do that!".

Warden's Keep DLC Trophies

spacer.png Master of the Peak (B)

Completed 'Soldier's Peak' ('Warden's Keep' downloadable content)

Once you download and install, this will be added to your quest list (push :select:, then :l2: until the icon on the left is highlighted). After the DLC is installed, a new location will appear in gold on your map. Go to your Party Camp and speak to Levi. He will tell you about Soldier's Peak. After traveling there, fight your way through Soldier's Peak. You'll be asked to help someone destroy and stop the demons coming into the Keep. Prepare for a battle with several different types of demons. Once the ritual is over, so is the quest.

spacer.png Diabolist (B)

Took advantage of Avernus's research ('Warden's Keep downloadable content)

Towards the end of the "Soldier's Peak" quest, you'll come to Avernus's workshop. You'll find a potion sitting on a table next to a book. Drink it.

The Stone Prisoner DLC Trophies

spacer.png Rock and a Hard Place (B)

Completed 'The Golem of Honnleath' ('The Stone Prisoner' downloadable content)

Once you download and install, this will be added to your quest list (push Select, then L2 until the icon on the left is highlighted). After the DLC is installed, a new location will appear in gold on your map. Head to this new location, Sulcher's Pass. You'll speak to a merchant who will tell you about a magic object and direct you to the town of Honnleath. After killing some Darkspawn, you'll find Shale in the center of the town. You'll have to find someone in the town to help you release him. Once you do, speak to Shale and accept him into your party.

spacer.png Stone's Lament (B)

Completed 'A Golem's Memories' ('The Stone Prisoner' downloadable content)

You will need to complete "The Anvil of the Void" and have chosen to destroy the Anvil to open up this quest. Once "The Anvil of the Void" is complete and the dwarves have a king, return to your parties camp and speak to Shale. He will begin to remember and set you on your way. A new location will appear on your map, Cadash Thaig. Travel there to complete this quest. Fight through the Darkspawn until you reach the Golem Monument. Once there, Shale will remember everything.

Return to Ostagar DLC Trophies

spacer.png In War, Victory (B)

Defeated the Ogre that killed King Cailan

After installing, make your way to the new gold location on your world map, Bann Loren's lands. There, you'll meet another survivor of Ostagar and he'll tell you about the key he left to King Cailan's chest. Head back to Ostagar and fight through the Darkspawn to gather the pieces of Cailan's armor, the contents of his chest, and Duncan's weapons. You'll have to fight through the lower level of the Tower Ishal again, but after going through a tunnel, you'll emerge onto the battlefield. There the Ogre awaits. He's no tougher than any other ogre you'll face, so treat it no differently. After defeating what Darkspawn are there and the Ogre, this will unlock.

Darkspawn Chronicles DLC Trophies

spacer.png Bane of Thedas (B)

Handed victory to the archdemon by killing Fereldan's last Grey Warden. ('Darkspawn Chronicles' downloadable content)

This is the same as the last quest of the game, except that you're one of the Darkspawn. As you go through Denerim, you'll be getting new quests from the Archdemon. You go through the Gates, the Marketplace, the Alienage, the Palace District, and then Fort Drakon. You'll also have to kill some of your former companions along the way. You'll have to find out which ones for yourself. To end the DLC, you have to kill the last of the Gray Wardens.

spacer.png Enthralling (B)

Earned maximum approval from all thrall types. ('Darkspawn Chronicles' downloadable content)

You don't technically have any companions here. Instead, you have to enthrall the Darkspawn units you've become very familiar with. The approval meter is the same as the romance meter. You can also give gifts that you take from dead enemies.

To enthrall, press :square: and move the cursor to one of the Darkspawn. You can only have three enthralled at one time. By killing enemy units (you have to kill them, not just let your companions do it), you gain approval from the enthralled Darkspawn. Once you have max approval for one, kill it by holding :r2:, pressing :square:, and highlighting it. The units that you have to enthrall are a Genlock, a Hurlock, a Hurlock Emissary, a Shriek, a Blight Wolf, and an Ogre.

In the Palace District, after freeing the Ogre, there is a spot at the top of the stairs where there are infinitely spawning dwarves. You can grind it out the approval there.

Note: If you want to do this all in one playthrough, then do not kill the Ogre. Cycle the other two spots, but keep the Ogre alive.

spacer.png Ogre's Keeper (S)

Keep the initial ogre as your thrall throughout the entire module. ('Darkspawn Chronicles' downloadable content)

This one is a little complicated and some people may have trouble with it. At the gates, the Archdemon will give you a quest to save an Ogre. As soon as you approach it, enthrall it. If you don't, it may disappear permanently. Once you enthrall it, keep it alive. When you get to the Palace District, the Ogre will be removed. It will be trapped behind a gate that you have to flip two levers to release. Once you release it, you'll have to enthrall it again (make sure you have an extra spot).

Here's where you may have a problem, there are two Ogres there. Enthrall the first one that was standing behind the gate. The second will follow you around, but make sure you enthrall the first one. Keep it alive through the rest of the DLC and this trophy will unlock during the credits.

Awakenings Expansion Trophies

spacer.png The Enduring Vigil (B)

Acquired all upgrades for Vigil's Keep ('Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening' expansion)

Start working on this as soon as you can. You'll have to run some errands for a dwarf named Voldrik and some old friends from Denerim. Voldrik wants to upgrade the walls to dwarven standards. Pay him 80 sovereigns (gold pieces) to get the work started. After the first story quest, he'll tell you that he needs granite to finish the job. There is a granite deposit in the Wending Wood just to the east of the entrance to the Silverite Mine.

The other upgrade is for your old friends. They'll ask you to find ore deposits so they can make weapons and armor for the soldier's of Vigil's Keep. There are three deposits out there. Two of them follow the main story, the third is from a side quest in Vigil's Keep ("It Came From Beneath"). The iron ore is in Kal'Hirol. The silverite ore is in the Silverite Mine in the Wending Wood. The veridium ore is in the basement of Vigil's Keep.

spacer.png Savior of Kal'Hirol (B)(H)

Destroyed the broodmothers in Kal'Hirol

This is a story related quest. One of the first quests you'll be given is to find Colbert in the city of Amaranthine and speak to him. He's right near the entrance to the city on the right side. Talk to him and he'll tell you about the chasm. Travel to the new location on your map (Knotwood Hills) and enter the city of Kal-Hirol. At the entrance to the city, you'll have the choice of going the front way or the side way. The side way is much easier. When you're facing the steps, on the left side there will be a barrier that goes to a wall. On the wall, there is a large triangle with faces on either side of the triangle. The left face has a switch for the secret entrance. After fighting through legions of Darkspawn (and meeting the Children), you'll come to a room where you'll fight the Inferno Golem and The Lost. The Lost is like any mage you've faced before, only with more hitpoints. Same goes with the Inferno Golem (frost runes work nicely on it). After defeating both, you'll enter a room with a pit in the middle and chains at each corner. Fight through the broodmother tentacles and break the chains. I only had to break two of them (both on the same side), but that may vary from game to game and difficulty to difficulty.

spacer.png Blind Vengeance (B)(H)

Escaped the silverite mines

This is another along the main quest. You'll be asked to go and speak to Mervis in Amaranthine about merchant caravans disappearing. He'll direct you to the Wending Wood. After exploring, you'll meet Velanna. She will tell you who is behind the caravan attacks. Find the sole militia survivor after that. After encountering Velanna again, head to the Darkspawn Camp and then head into the Silverite Mine. Once inside, you'll see The Architect for the first time. You'll be imprisoned and all of your items will be taken away. After escaping from your cell, you'll have to fight, but without your weapons and armor. Pick up what you can on the way. Each character's equipment will be worn by an "Experimental Subject". Kill them to get your gear back. After you have all of it, your final fight will be against two dragon thralls. After a few hits, they'll both fly to another spot in the room.

spacer.png Pride Before The Fall (B)(H)

Defeated the baroness

The third of the initial three story related missions you're given is this one. You're told about a Grey Warden named Kristoff who was investigating the Darkspawn. Head to Amaranthine and search his room in the tavern. You'll discover that he traveled to the Blackmarsh to search for the Darkspawn. When you get there and find Kristoff, you'll be sent into the Fade. This isn't like your trips to the Fade in Origins, this is different. You'll be asked to help the people of Blackmarsh defeat the Baroness. Help them and you'll escape the Fade. After closing some Fade Portals in the real world, you'll fight the Baroness again. Defeat her for this trophy.

spacer.png Amaranthine's Last Hope (B)(H)

Saved the city of Amaranthine

Note: If you don't want to play through Awakening a second time, make an extra save after completing the third story quest.

After the third story quest is completed, Amaranthine will be attacked. Head there and you'll be given a choice to make, continue saving Amaranthine or save Vigil's Keep. Choose to save Amaranthine. Fight through the city saving the city's guards. After all are saved, head into the Chantry until you're told that the Darkspawn are attacking again. Go to the Crown & Lion Inn and fight the Darkspawn. Go through the secret door in the back into the Smuggler's Cove and continue the fight. Return to the surface to face another Darkspawn general and a new opponent, the Armored Alpha Ogre. Both are just beefed up versions of their previous versions.

spacer.png Keeper of the Vigil (B)(H)

Saved Vigil's Keep

Note: If you don't want to play through Awakening a second time, make an extra save after completing the third story quest.

After the third story quest is completed, Amaranthine will be attacked. Head there and you'll be given a choice to make, continue saving Amaranthine or save Vigil's Keep. Choose to save the Keep. Remember the quest at Denerim's gates during Origins? Here you go again. Survive wave after wave after wave of Darkspawn. The last wave will consist of The Herald and the Armored Alpha Ogre. The ogre is beefed up version of the regular ogre and The Herald is a stronger up version of the new Darkspawn generals.

spacer.png Awakening (G)

Completed Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening ('Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening' expansion)

After saving either Amaranthine or the Keep, you'll be told where the Mother's Lair is. If you saved the Keep, it's "Lair of the Mother" on your map. If you saved Amaranthine, it's "Dragonbone Wastes" on your map. Whatever it's called, it's the only available location, so head there. Fight through the Darkspawn civil war, which includes a High Dragon. After the dragon is defeated, enter Drake's Fall. You'll have to make a choice of whether to help The Architect or not. Helping him gives you more help for the fight against the Mother. In Drake's Fall, activate the three towers by finding the 12 crystals. These are dropped by enemies, in chests or in flesh pods. The towers will give you another method to fight the Mother. Enter The Nest after making your way down. The Mother is very much like the Broodmother from Origins. Fight her the same way. Once you're done, ding!

spacer.png Commander of the Grey (B)

Reached level 30 ('Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening' expansion)

Your best bet is to import your character from Origins. I'm not sure if it's possible to start with the Orlesian Warden and reach rank 30, but I do know that giving yourself the best headstart possible can't be a bad thing. The good news about leveling up is that it's much easier. Everything is worth more experience points. Kills that you got about 20-30 points for in Origins get you about 70-80 in Awakening. Along with completing the story, do as many sidequests as you can for extra XP. There are plenty to be found in Amaranthine.

Leliana's Song DLC

spacer.png Provocateur (B)

Collected and assembled the Battledress of the Provocateur ('Leliana's Song' downloadable content)

You'll need to find six Masterwork Leather Pieces to complete the Battledress. The items will all be in the Plot Items section of your inventory.

  • Kill Jovi Merice and take it from his body. Be sure to take his body too for Vendetta.
  • As you enter the Arl's estate after coming in through the basement, you'll enter a bedroom. After the entrance room, you'll be in a hallway. Across from the door you walked out of will be a small room with a locked door. Pick it and then pick the locked chest for the next piece.
  • In the room where you leave the papers. You'll have two chances at this one. The second time is after you visit your hideout. Either way, it's in an ornate chest in the corner.
  • After returning to the estate, go through the first couple of fights and there will be a locked door to your right. Behind it, are a weapons master and three mabari's. Kill them and go to the armor stand on the far side of the room. You'll find the fourth piece there.
  • You'll see a couple of cutscenes, and then you'll be in a dungeon. After you get to where Sketch and then Tug are being held, there will be a crank in each of their rooms. Pull both. After the second one, head out the way you came in and go into the next door on the left. You'll fight a few guards and there will be a locked chest on the far side of the room. Open it for the fifth piece.
  • When you escape the dungeon, you'll be brought to the Chantry. Once regain control, go to the desk behind you and look in the drawer. The final piece will be there.

spacer.png Turning Point (B)

Heard Leliana's version of her betrayal. ('Leliana's Song' downloadable content)

Complete the DLC and this will unlock. It's story related.

spacer.png Vendetta (B)

Destroyed the career of Guard Captain Eams. ('Leliana's Song' downloadable content)

This will be the first one that you can get. You'll need to assemble some items and plant them on the body of the Guard Captain. First, open all three chests in the market and take the stolen items.

Next, find the Mage's Collective markers. The first will be where the Mage's Collective bag is (remember from the original game?). The next marker is to the west of that spot (north is straight up on the map). The second marker is near where you started. Those will reveal the location of the cache, which is right across from the gates to the Alienage. When you get there, you'll have to fight a mage and a golem.

Next, attack the noble, Bann Perin, and then steal his underlings.

The last piece is Jovi Merce. After you kill him, take his corpse and then plant all of the items on the unconscious Guard Captain.

After planting all of that, signal Marjorlaine and talk to her. During the conversation, this will unlock if you got everything planted.

The Golems of Amgarrak DLC

spacer.png Reaper (B)

Defeated the Harvester ('The Golems of Amgarrak' downloadable content)

See Grim Reaper. Beating him on Casual is pretty easy, but Hard or Nightmare is a real challenge.

spacer.png Grim Reaper (B)

Defeated the Harvester on Hard or Nightmare difficulty ('The Golems of Amgarrak' downloadable content')

I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is that you can switch difficulty right before The Harvester fight (after you find the sixth note) and get the trophy. You CANNOT switch the difficulty once the fight begins however. If you had thoughts about getting the Harvester within one hit of death changing the difficulty, think again. The bad news, the Harvester is insanely hard. The easiest character type to beat the Harvester with is a Mage. With a Warrior or a Rogue, struggles will ensue.

With the Mage, you want an Arcane Warrior. Some of the spells that you want are flame weapons, crushing prison, group heal, revival, haste, and miasma. With the Warrior, be a tank. With a high enough number of hit points, you can take anything. Just have plenty of health poultices. With the Rogue, you'll have to be crafty. Attack the Harvester from behind as much as you can. If you have dual wield and two good weapons, use them. Otherwise, stick with one powerful weapon.

Prepare early. Find all of the notes for your golem and get it fully upgraded. Set it's tactics to Ranged and make Group Heal it's top priority. Set the tactics of the two dwarves to Defensive. Set three of Brogan's tactics to use "Taunt" and "Grievous Insult" and to use a stamina poultice when that drops below 25%. This will ensure that the Harvester is usually targeting only Brogan. You'll spend most of your time in the battle with Brogan selected downing health poultices, so make sure you have plenty of health poultices left. I had about 200 in my stockpile when starting the battle. Anytime someone's health drops to about half, switch to them and heal unless the golem takes care of them first.

The first form is the hardest. This first phase of the fight is really about how quickly you can knock down the Harvester's health while avoiding the "yellow" and "orange" skeletons. Hack away as best you can and heal anyone that needs it. During the first form, skeletons will start to appear around you. The Harvester will basically stay in place though. You want to start the second phase with as few skeletons as possible since the Harvester will just summon more. One good thing you can do to get around the skeletons is to use the switch on the right side of the room as you enter. If you click on it, the skeletons will disappear. To click on it, hit (or hold depending upon your set up) :l2:, get the switch in the center of wheel, and push :cross:. Be warned though, more will appear a few seconds later though, so get your shots into the Harvester quickly. At certain points, you'll hear one of the dwarves yell that weapons are no longer effective. If you can, switch to the golem and cast chain lightning. If you find yourself being overwhelmed, as the sole survivor, and you can't get to the switch, then start running around. Get some distance between yourself and the Harvester and chip away at the skeletons. The most important thing to remember with the first form is that you keep the golem alive at all costs. If the golem goes down, you will too, eventually.

Once you defeat the larger form, the Harvester will become the little crawling thing you've seen in the distance. It'll jump around to certain points in the room to spawn skeletons. Continually attack it as best you can. Move around when you get overwhelmed. At least with this phase, all of the skeletons will be standard ones. When you're pretty clear of skeletons, hammer away on the Harvester. The second form is much easier than the first.

spacer.png A Secret Stitched Together (B)

Gathered all of the research notes in Amgarrak ('The Golems of Amgarrak' downloadable content)

If you want a chance against The Harvester, find these. They'll upgrade your golem. You'll have to do a fair amount of backtracking to get all six, but they're all either in plain sight or just off the main path. There are four types, Healing, Mechanics, Fire, and Lightning. Fire and Lightning give extra attacks to your golem. Healing allows it to heal your squad. Mechanics toughens up your golem. Find them all. They'll help out a ton.

Each note also requires a different lyrium switch to be flipped. Each switch corresponds to a different color (blue, purple, white, green, and red). Each color allows you to access doors or chests that are encased in the mist of the same color.

  • After entering Amgarrak, there will be a room where you’ll be attacked by golems. On one end of the room, there are three chests that have a blue mist around them. You have to hit the switch to change the flow of lyrium to get to them. Backtrack and open the center chest for the first research note, Mechanics.
  • On the opposite side of the same room is the next one. Head back for the blue lyrium switch, but go to the right near a purple flame. Inside this little alcove will be the next note, Fire.
  • After activating the purple switch, go back to a door that was surrounded by purple fog. Go in and you’ll see a few golems with chests behind them. All of the chests are glowing green. Flip the switch on one side to return everything to normal and then flip the switch on the other side to get to the green chests. After returning things to normal, be prepared for a nasty fight with six or seven golems. With the exit from the room on your right, the first chest on the right has the third note, Lightning. The second chest on the left has the fourth, Healing.
  • Near the first blue lyrium switch will be a room that is just off the main path. There will be two treasure chests at the end and golems lining both walls. The chest on the left is what you want, but you’ll have to go back to the normal world. Once you do, fight off the golems and get the fifth note, Healing.
  • After breaking through the red mist , go down the stairs into the forge and take the first right. In the alcove will be a chest with the sixth and final note, Mechanics.

Witch Hunt DLC

spacer.png Varterral's Fall (B)

Defeated the varterral on Hard or Nightmare difficulty ('Witch Hunt' downloadable content)

The Varterral is at the end of the Dragonbone Wastes. If you’re concerned because of how difficult the Harvester was on Hard, don’t worry. This thing is much, much easier. Again, switch the difficulty to Hard or Nightmare right before you get to the boss fight (it’ll be right after an autosave point before a huge clearing). Have Finn set to heal everyone in your party. You, Dog, and Ariane hammer away at the Varterral. When the Varterral summons Dragons (which will happen two times), have Ariane go after them. Keep hammering away with Dog. The Varterrel is more annoying in some ways than the Harvester because it heals itself and jumps around a lot. Other than that, it’s a cakewalk.

spacer.png Witch Hunter (B)

Completed 'Witch Hunt' ('Witch Hunt' downloadable content')

Story related. After fighting the Varterral, you’ll speak with Morrigan. This trophy will unlock after the conversation ends, whichever ending to the conversation you have.

spacer.png A Time of Wood and Stone (B)

Gathered the lost lore of Cadaish Thaig ('Witch Hunt' downloadable content)

After learning about the Eluvian in the Circle Tower, you will have to head to Cadaish Thaig and caves near a Dalish camp (if you played the Dalish Elf origin, you'll know all about these caves). In Cadaish Thaig, there are four writings to look out for. Once you have all four, the trophy will unlock.

  • Worn Note - After crossing the fourth bridge in the Thaig, you’ll fight a group of darkspawn led by a Hurlock Alpha, head around a path to the left. It’ll be in a chest near a campfire.
  • Worn Journal – After finding two of the Lights of Arlathan, there will be an open area where you will fight more Darkspawn. To the right, is a little alley with a pile of bones at the end. The journal will be here.
  • Torn Letter – Near one of the vortexes used to find the Lights (off to the right side), there will be another pile of bones near a few large boulders. The letter is in the pile.
  • Scrap of Paper – After crossing a bridge, there will be a vortex. To the left of it, will be a scrap of paper stuck on a stake. Coincidentally, it’s called the Scrap of Paper. There’s the last of the lore.

spacer.png Through the Looking Glass (B)

Completed the scrying ritual ('Witch Hunt' downloadable content)

Story related. Once you gather the shard of the mirror from the caves near the Dalish camp and the four Lights of Arlathan, Finn will want to perform the ritual. Once it’s complete, this trophy will unlock.

Really nice job so far, Olsen. I'm not very far into the game. From what it appears to me, you will need three playthroughs, one at least with a male and one as a female. It looks like, it will be a very challenging game to complete --- longetivity speaking.

But, nonetheless it is a great game.

As for those who were asking about Dragon's Age and Demon's Souls. Demon's Souls and Dragon's Age are similar in a small way, but very different in many ways. Demon's Souls is a game that you will either love or hate.

I have both and I love both, but, Demon's Souls is a very, very difficult game in comparison to this. DA seems to be a bit more user-friendly, and a lot more forgiving --- by far. If you make one, or too many mistakes in Demon's Souls, you will regret it as the game will just continue to get more, and more difficult for you.

I suggest you try it and see if you like it before buying it, as I said, you will either like it or hate it. But, in my opinion, I think most people would pick Dragon's Age over Demon's Souls.
