Suporex
Hello guys, I am finally going for 100% plat with this one. I have played this game when it was released on PC, finished with mage and warrior. I have platiniumed DA2 as well so I am familliar with the game and mechanics. Now I was thinking about doing one playthrough plat with rogue. My question is if nightmare will be fun playthrough you think? or is it bit to much? I want game to be challenging but not dragging as well. Or should I go for Hard? PS. I know I can change difficulty at any time but I would like to avoid it. Thanks. Suporex
one more question is Hopelessly Romantic even possible with one playthrough?
Joe111eleven111
Hopelessly Romantic requires at least 2 playthroughs, 1 as a male and 1 as a female. Nightmare is very tough but doable. The party members will have to be micromanaged and you'll want to make sure your character is optimized (read: broken).
Suporex
so I guess Hard would be more for a challange and yet fun playthrough
InfiniteRefrain
Hard should not be that much of a challenge if you have already finished the PC version, and have the plat on DA2; personally, I never found Nightmare to be 'fun' If you do not have the DLC you will need 3 playthroughs for the lvl 20 achievements, so the second playthough for the romances is a moot point- The 360 lvl glitch was fixed before the PS3 version shipped. Suporex
Yeah, all my friends at work said they will follow me playing on nightmare, so I will go with it. I actually got myself Ultimate edition. I was reading somwhere that some DLC might not work but it should be easy to solve with Bioware support... mattigummi
I always played on Normal difficulty when I was working on the platinum, and i didn't find that any too easy. Now I'm playing the game again because it's just amazing, and I'm playing on Hard now and am enjoying it. I find it challenging at times and sometimes easy enough, but I'm too afraid to go any further than that, and I don't want to start raging if it's too hard. So I'm staying on Hard and having fun, and I'm determined to not go lower the difficulty.
Suporex
hi guys, so I am doing my nightmare playthrough but what I am missing is solo mode and possibility to select all my characters and issue move command to where I want. Is it even possible on PS3 version?
DerSchwarzePrinz
hi guys, so I am doing my nightmare playthrough but what I am missing is solo mode and possibility to select all my characters and issue move command to where I want. Is it even possible on PS3 version? You can select all characters by pressing L1 + R1 simultaneously. I think there is no "move to" command. Suporex
You can select all characters by pressing L1 + L2 simultaneously. I think there is no "move to" command. thanks for that. And do you know if you can enter solo mode?
DerSchwarzePrinz
thanks for that. And do you know if you can enter solo mode? Sorry for the typo, it's L1 + R1. I do not know the PC version. What do you mean with solo mode?
Suporex
in PC version you had 2 buttons under portraits. 1 to sellect all, 2 for solo play, when you clicked it all the other characters were staying in the location u left them not doing any action. so you can tak your main character and pull some mobs and run back, switch to team mode and all the characters would preform actions acording to their tactics. That's an easy one: 1. Open your "control wheel" (don't know, how it's called in english) with L2. 2. Select "hold position" from the advanced tab
PixelStorm87
Well I platted DA:O on my old accounts and i'm just starting it on this account. I plan to do a 'nightmare' 100% playthrough. I will be doing a mage with blood mage/arcane warrior specialisations as this is probably the best setup imo. DEX rouges being a close 2nd. Its all about crowd control/dps/survivability and blood mage/arcane warrior ticks all those boxes. I'm also doing a skyrim new character legendary playthrough atm, if it aint difficult it aint fun XD
DonJohn80
When Nightmare time comes, bring a rogue. The Archdemon is much harder if you can't keep fixing that ballista.
