Introduction

The DOOM 3 BFG Edition is a compilation of the first three games DOOM, DOOM II and an enhanced version of DOOM 3 + the Expansions, including one never before seen called the Lost Mission. This is also the first time any DOOM title has been seen on the PS3! The Platinum is a tough one, mainly because of the Nightmare difficulty. Everything else though is just your standard trophy list with a lot of collectibles added. You need to get all the PDAs Lockers and Video Logs in the DOOM 3 campaign, plus the PDA's in both the Lost Mission and Resurrection of Evil campaigns. For DOOM 1 and 2 you just have to complete all the levels and repeat some of them to get the last few trophies. There are 6 online trophies but they aren't too bad. You can boost them all in approx 10 minutes or you can get try getting them legit in a few days depending on luck.

Known Glitches

There are a few game breaking glitches in this game you should be aware of so you know when to save your game. Here is a list of them and how to best to try and prevent them:

Delta Labs - Delta Lift becomes broken and you can't advance

In the Delta Labs you area tasked with turning on the power and the reactor, the power activates the elevator which can become glitched. Here is a way of avoiding it thanks to Subterfuge but be aware this doesn't always work. Just make sure you make a fresh save when starting the Delta Labs area and if it glitches, reload:

Subterfuge said:
When you turn the power on, BEFORE going and turning on the reactor, you have to head to the right in the Command Centre like room (where you turned on the power) and have a video conference with Sarge. If you don't have this conversation with him then the elevators will not open and you must do this before turning on the reactor, because if you go back and talk to him afterwards it still won't work.

Delta Labs - Delta Reactor

When you're in the Reactor Room you have to climb up a ladder, in rare cases this ladder will not let you reach the higher area (like there is an invisible wall above the ladder). There is no way to avoid this and it is completely random if it will occur. Climb as high up the ladder as you can and look slightly to the left at the reactor. You want to throw grenades at this curved surface and keep trying to move up the ladder. If done right the explosion will boost you to the upper level.

Walkthrough

Step 1: Complete the DOOM 3 campaign on Recruit, aim to complete it in 10hrs for the Speed Run trophy.

If you're confident enough you can get all the collectibles in this step. I was able to beat the game and record trophy videos for the PDA locations etc and my final time was 9hrs 20mins. Even when you play on Nightmare, you might even beat that time. This step is just if you want to enjoy the game and not worry too much about the trophies just yet.

Step 2: Complete the DOOM 3 campaign on Nightmare, collect all PDAs, Video Logs and open all Storage Lockers

The next step is to get all of the PDAs, all the video logs and open all of the lockers. You can do this in your first step if you want to. There is 64 PDAs, 17 video logs (Only 15 can be picked up) and 32 storage lockers (not counting Martian lockers or other weapon rooms). These are the most tedious trophies because if you miss one, you have to replay the whole game again as you can't backtrack most of the time. I recommend saving at the start of each level, that way if you miss one you can easily reload then continue playing from there.

Step 3: Complete both the Lost Mission and Resurrection of Evil Add-ons on Recruit, collect all the PDAs and then do your Nightmare playthrough.

Now that you have completed Doom 3 you will want to move onto the additional add on campaigns for the game. These are Resurrection of Evil and Lost Mission. Resurrection of Evil is the longest of the two and takes about 2-3hrs to complete depending on if you rush through it but as you'll be collecting the PDAs as you go, it will most likely take you at least that long. The Lost Mission, however, is very short and takes roughly an hour to complete it and get all of the PDAs.

The next part of this step is getting the miscellaneous trophies, there are only a couple of them and you might get them without even trying. The final step is completing both the campaigns on Nightmare difficulty, this is the same as DOOM 3 in terms of difficulty but as they are both short it shouldn't take very long. Just remember to save after every room you clear, it is very tedious but it will save you from un-necessarily having to redo large parts of the game.

Step 4: DOOM I and II

The final step is to complete DOOM I and II. These are the original games, and are presented in their original 4:3 Aspect Ratios. This can be annoying but as they are classics it's what you expect them to look like. The trophies here aren't difficult, you have to complete DOOM on Ultra-Violence for the rampage trophy but that is easily manageable and it's not the hardest difficulty. On DOOM II you have to do pretty much the same thing but you don't have to complete the 2nd part on a specific difficulty, you can do it on "Too young to die" if you want. The final thing you then want to do is get 100% in one level on both of the games. This will then finish the DOOM I and II parts of the trophy list, you should now have your Platinum. Congrats! If not continue onto Step 5.

Step 5: Clean up

Missed out on a PDA or another collectible? Maybe you missed out on a miscellaneous trophy? Well now is the time to replay the game until you get all the trophies you are missing. You should now have your Platinum, congrats!

7D6.jpg DOOMed Nightmare (B)

Complete the DOOM 3 single player campaign on Nightmare

Note: The difficulty trophies stack. Nightmare is unlocked after completing the game on any difficulty. Also, here's a thread on Nightmare tips: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/178362-tips-nightmare-mode.html

This is by no doubt the hardest trophy in the game. It's not extremely difficult but is rather time consuming due to having to save a lot. Be aware that when you begin Nightmare you start with the Soul Cube. However, every second or two your health will drop by 5 until it reaches 25. Don't bother trying to keep your health above 25 when trying to survive. Here are some general tips:

  • Save, save, save!: The only way you could make Nightmare difficult is by not constantly saving. You should be saving after every single enemy that you kill. You should never enter a room with out having saved, nor should you last over one minute without saving. This makes Nightmare into a game of Trial and Error, when you die you'll know what to do next time in order to get passed the bit you're on. As you only have 25 health, a single hit from an enemy can kill you.

  • Cover: There isn't a cover system in this game but you can hide behind walls and such, then pop out and shoot the enemy and go back behind the wall. This is very effective against the demons which use long range attacks, e.g Imps. Don't get up close and personal though, as most enemies will lunge at you. The enemies with guns will kill you almost instantly, make sure you run back to cover and wait for them to come to you and then shoot them to avoid damage. The shotgun up close will kill them in one hit most the time.

  • General Tips: Don't be afraid to use the Soul Cube, but save it for the bigger demons such as the Arch Demon etc. Make sure you open all the storage lockers as you go through the game, as most of them have a lot of ammo in them. Every enemy is different but the ones to look out for are the Lost Souls. They are the heads that fly around and leave a jet stream behind them. They are small and fast which means shooting them quickly before they can hurt you will prove to be a challenge. Always be careful when fighting any of the marines, as the Chain Gun enemies can wipe you out in an instant. It is best to use the Soul Cube against these guys.

A2E.jpg DOOMed Collector (B)

There are 64 PDAs in the Doom 3 campaign, here is a link to my thread with video guides for all of them: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/178612-doom-3-bfg-edition-all-pdas-lockers-video-logs-guide.html

Find all video logs in DOOM 3

There are 17 videos in the Doom 3 campaign (One of them has to be watched on a TV in Mars City), here is a link to my thread with video guides for all of them: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/178612-doom-3-bfg-edition-all-pdas-lockers-video-logs-guide.html

9B2.jpg That was Close! (B)

Kill an enemy with 1 health remaining in DOOM 3, RoE or Lost Mission

Note: The trophy description for this is misleading as it's you that has to have 1 health remaining, not the enemy.

This is easiest done on Recruit as a lot of enemies will only inflict 1 HP damage to you (such as Z-Sec Pistol guys). Just wait until an enemy drops your health to one, then kill him. It's likely you'll get this trophy naturally as you play the game. The Imps take 3 HP off of you so if you're at 100 health, just keep letting it hurt you until you reach 1 HP.

116.jpg Goody Finder (B)

Open all storage lockers in DOOM 3

There are 32 storage lockers in the Doom 3 campaign (this doesn't include Martian lockers or other such code lockers/rooms that don't say "storage locker" on them. Here is a link to my thread with video guides for all of them: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/178612-doom-3-bfg-edition-all-pdas-lockers-video-logs-guide.html

942.jpg Unarmed Badass (B)

Kill 20 enemies with the fists/melee hands in DOOM 3

Self explanatory, you just have to defeat 20 enemies with your fists in the DOOM 3 campaign. Melee kills in Lost Mission and Resurrection of Evil don't count.

09B.jpg cTo Be or Not to Be (B)

Kill the scientist trapped next to the Reactor Control Room in DOOM 3

In Alpha Labs Sector 4 you'll start off seeing someone trapped in a chamber and he'll tell you to open the chamber. The console has two options, Open Chamber and Activate chamber. Instead of hitting Open Chamber hit Activate Chamber, he will then die and you'll get your trophy. Be aware though you can't get the PDAs in his locked room if you do this so if you're trying to get DOOMed Collector, make sure to save before doing this.

1BC.jpg Double the Fun! (B)

Kill 2 Imps with one shotgun blast in DOOM 3, RoE or Lost Mission

Simply get two Imps (the demons you're first introduced to), line them up side by side then shoot. If you struggle to kill them both with one shot, try softening them up with your pistol, shooting an equal amount of shots on both of them. They have to be right next to each other too or it won't kill both. If you are still having trouble, try the Super shotgun instead. The Super shotgun is found in certain lockers and is Double Barrelled.

F0C.jpg Killing Time (B)

Score 25000 on Super Turbo Turkey Puncher 3 in DOOM 3 or RoE

At the start of DOOM 3 you'll eventually reach a common area where the IPN news is playing on the TV. There is an arcade machine in the back corner which is the required game. All you have to do is keep spamming :triangle: to punch the turkey until it explodes. It will take about 5 minutes of constantly doing this. The trophy will unlock when you earn 25000 points.

D74.jpg Boomtastic (B)

Blow up 50 barrels in the DOOM 3, RoE or Lost Mission campaigns

Note: This trophy is cumulative.

The barrels are the red barrels that have "Flammable" written on them. You just have to shoot them and they'll explode. There are hundreds of them in the Doom 3 campaign alone, just shoot all the ones you come across and you'll get the trophy in no time.

14A.jpg Ready for Action! (B)

Get the BFG-9000 from Security Chief's office in DOOM 3

This can be found in Delta Labs Level 2A, after the room with the yellow cranes, you should see a locker and the BFG will be visible through the class. The door code for it is 931. Here's a video guide:

851.jpg Not a Scratch (B)

Complete a level without taking any damage in DOOM 3, RoE or Lost Mission (except Mars City)

This can be obtained by constantly saving and reloading when you take damage. However it's especially easy to do this on Delta Labs 4, as it's very short or on one of the very small levels such as Communications Transfer. Save after each and every enemy you kill like if you were playing Nightmare. The trophy will unlock after transferring to the next level.

0CF.jpg Rage (B)

Find the RAGE logo in the Lost Mission

At the very end of the Lost Mission campaign you will be walking though Hell. After you have gone through all the hellish looking castles you will be out in the open. Here you will see some stairs in front of you that lead down to a set of stone obelisks. Don't go down here as that triggers the boss, instead take a left and go behind the stone bricks. There will be the the RAGE logo on the wall behind these bricks. Simply interact with it and the trophy will unlock.

6CA.jpg Speed Run (B)

Complete the DOOM 3 single player campaign in 10 hours or less

There is a great chance this will come naturally either on your first playthrough or second. If you're especially struggling with this, do the game on Recruit and try skipping through as many enemies as you can. This game isn't very difficult to beat under 10 hours. Also, make sure you don't leave your game on not doing anything without pausing it. If you die and have to reload, this will not keep the counter going.

A22.jpg Sticky Situation (B)

Defeat the Vagary boss in DOOM 3

Story related, cannot be missed.

Spoiler

This is the spider queen boss you come across at the end of the Alpha Labs Level. It is really easy to kill and all you need to do is circle it and keep shooting it. Avoid the spikes on the floor as they hurt you.

C0A.jpg Cookie Stealer (B)

Defeat Guardian boss in DOOM 3

Story related, cannot be missed.

Spoiler

This is the Guardian boss that you will come across at the end of the Hell level. It is very easy to kill and all you need to do is kill the "Seekers" that are flying around. Once all are dead the Guardian will spawn more from it's back. Shoot at the light emitting from its back, when it's red that means you are hurting it.

2FF.jpg You're Not My Boss! (B)

Defeat Sabaoth boss in DOOM 3

Story related, cannot be missed.

Spoiler

This is Sarge, you fight him at the end of Central Server Banks. He has now mutated and turned into a tank/human thing. He fires BFG bullets at you which take a off a lot of health if you get hit by one. The easiest way to kill him is throw the Soul Cube at him then fire off 5 rockets.

DD7.jpg Big Boy (B)

Defeat Cyberdemon boss in DOOM 3

Story related, cannot be missed.

Spoiler

The final boss is the Cyberdemon. You meet it at the very end of the of the game. It is in fact one of the easiest bosses to kill, the best thing to do is circle the volcano in the middle and kill all the Imps etc that crawl out of it until your Soul Cube charges. Once charged throw it at the Cyberdemon. Repeat this 5 times then it will die.

B30.jpg Bot Buddy (B)

Keep a Sentry Bot alive to its destination in DOOM 3, RoE or Lost Mission (except Mars City)

You'll easily get this if you go play on Recruit but if you don't, when you see a Sentry Bot make sure you stay right near it and shoot who ever gets in its path. I always had the Sentry Bot reach its destination on Recruit, difficulty even when I left it fight on its own.

C9C.jpg Ripped! (B)

Use the chainsaw to kill 20 enemies in DOOM 3

The first place you can obtain the chainsaw is in Communications Transfer, Service Tunnels, Service Room 2A. Simply pick it up from the box or kill the Marine with it and pick it up. There are plenty of other chances to get it, this is the first time though. Simply kill any 20 enemies with it and the trophy will unlock.

Find the id logo secret room in DOOM 3

Right before you enter the room to the final boss or the cutscene to the final boss, turn to the left and you should see a secret area which contains the id logo, just press :triangle: on it and the trophy will unlock. See the video below for more info:

DC2.jpg You Laugh, It Works (B)

Find the bloody handiwork of Betruger (in Delta 4 Hallway) in DOOM 3

As soon as you exit Delta 3 you'll be in the Delta 4 Hallway, the walls will be covered in bloody messages. Continue on until the hallway curves left a second time and you will see a message that says "You Laugh, It Works" by a skeleton. Shine the torch on it and the trophy will unlock.

DC7.jpg Turncoat (B)

Get 2 demons to fight each other in DOOM 3, RoE or Lost Mission

In DOOM 3 you can get demons to fight each other. This is done by a less powerful enemy accidentally attacking a more powerful enemy. You may get this without even trying or you might not. What you have to do is get, let's say an imp and an arch demon in the same room. If you can line it up so the imp will throw a fireball towards you but then it ends up hitting the arch demon the two will fight, with the Arch Demon winning. There's two good spots for this:

Hell (DOOM 3)

After the fight with the Zombies and Lost Souls you'll enter a room, opposite that room is a cliff gave and behind a rock is the BFG. Run into that area and just sit there, make sure you saved prior to this part. There will be two arch demons that can't fit through the gate (Don't kill them), plus some imps will be on the other side. It won't work every time but just keep pacing back and forward and an imp will most likely hit an Arch Demon. This is a very good spot as the Arch Demon killed two Imps when I did it. You had best to do this on Recruit.

Hell (Lost Mission)

Near the end you are going through a sort of castle complex, what you want to do is just keep running around and running towards the next area. They will be tons of demons of all types here and chances are one will hit another. If this trophy doesn't unlock by the time you reach the last boss, reload your save and try again.

804.jpg Soulfood (B)

Use the Soul Cube to defeat 20 enemies in DOOM 3

You will get the Soul Cube after defeating the guardian boss in Hell if you aren't playing on Nightmare. If you are playing on Nightmare then you will start off with the Soul Cube. You have to kill 5 enemies to charge the Soul Cube and it will say "Use Us". Simply use it and it will go after and kill the nearest, most powerful enemy. It will also restore some of your health, depending on how much HP the enemy had. Repeat 20 times for the trophy.

6DB.jpg Evil Recruit (B)

Complete the RoE campaign on Recruit

Note: The difficulty trophies stack.

You simply have to complete the RoE campaign on at least Recruit difficulty. Recruit difficulty can be chosen from the start.

Complete the RoE campaign on Marine

566.jpg Evil Nightmare (B)

Complete the RoE campaign on Nightmare

Note: The difficulty trophies stack. Nightmare is unlocked after completing the game on any difficulty.

This is not extremely difficult but rather time consuming due to excessive saving. However, every second or two your health will drop by 5 until it reaches 25. Don't bother trying to keep your health above 25 when trying to survive. Here are some general tips:

The enemies with guns will kill you almost instantly, make sure you run back to cover and wait for them to come to you and then shoot them to avoid damage. The shotgun up close will kill them in one hit most the time.

  • Artifacts: Use the artifact whenever you can, these will allow you to slow down time at first. As you progress through the story you will kill more of the demons which will grant you additional powers for the artifact. To be able to use it you have to equip it then hover the crosshair over a dead human body, it will then absorb the 'soul' and give you 1 use of the artefact.

0AD.jpg Too Slow, Fool! (B)

Kill 5 enemies at once while in Hell Time in RoE

This is easily obtainable in Erebus Level 3. When you get the Super shotgun, the card, then remove power cell and leave the room, 5 zombies will appear (you can kill these to get the trophy but it's easier in the next area). Your screen will turn red. Many zombies will be there (at least 15), activate Hell Time and kill 5 of them, throw grenades to make it faster.

232.jpg Gimme Time! (B)

Defeat the Helltime Hunter in RoE

Story related, cannot be missed.

Spoiler

The Helltime Hunter is very simple. His attack is quite easy to dodge as all he does is throw fireballs and teleport towards you. To beat him, use the Grabber and grab the energy balls that are being shot from the guns at the sides, then shoot him with it. Repeat this process until he dies.

000.jpg Gimme Power! (B)

Defeat the Berserk Hunter in RoE

Story related, cannot be missed.

Spoiler

The Berserk Hunter shouldn't give much trouble. His heart will open occasionally, when he does this activate Hell Time with the artifact and shoot him with the Super shotgun as many times as you can. He'll mainly throw Fireballs at you so dodging shouldn't be in issue.

0BC.jpg Shocking! (B)

Defeat the Invulnerability Hunter in RoE

Story related, cannot be missed.

Spoiler

The Invulnerability Hunter can be really tough. You can't shoot him when he's glowing with electricity. You must activate the terminals that are active, and destroy the cores generating the Hunters shield. Blowing them up can be risky and drain a lot of health. Make sure you are constantly saving through out the battle and especially when you're about to destroy his shield. If you see yourself stuck when destroying a generator for his shield, enter Hell Time to prevent damage. Also, below where you're fighting him is a bunch of bodies to get ammo for Hell Time, so take advantage of that as well.

1A9.jpg Play Catch (B)

Kill 20 enemies with projectiles launched from the Grabber in RoE

You get the Grabber after the cutscene which shows a solider throwing a fireball back at an Imp, he gives you the gun then. All you have to do is when a demon throws a projectile at you press and hold :r1: on it and then release to throw the projectile back at the demon. It will kill them in one hit on Recruit.

BC5.jpg Fists of Fury (B)

Use the Artifact with Berserk ability to punch out 20 enemies in RoE

Once you defeat the second boss, your artifact will require the Berserk ability. Simply activate the artifact, take out your fists, and punch out 20 enemies. These should be all instant kills. This is the same as the Berserk ability found on the Hell level in DOOM 3 and also multiplayer, so you should be familiar with how it works.

D36.jpg Lost Recruit (B)

Complete the Lost Mission campaign on Recruit

Note: The difficulty trophies stack.

You simply have to complete the Lost Mission campaign on Recruit difficulty. Recruit difficulty can be chosen from the start and is the easiest of them all. The only difference between difficulties is the damage you take, it's not like the original DOOM games where there are more enemies etc.

83D.jpg Telefragged! (B)

Kill an enemy player by jumping into a teleporter after them in DOOM 3 Multiplayer

This can be done on The Edge 2, wait for someone to enter the teleporter at the very bottom of the rotating platforms then enter afterwards. This could also easily be boosted, please refer to thread below for boosting partners: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/175448-trophy-boosting-thread-read-first-post.html

A70.jpg Crushed! (B)

Catch an enemy player in the Reactor of Frag Chamber in DOOM 3 Multiplayer

In Frag Chamber, there is a room where someone can be trapped by activating a panel to trap and kill a player (this is very similar to the "To Be or Not to Be" trophy). You must catch someone in the room at the time you press the panel to activate chamber and kill that person. This could also easily be boosted, please refer to the following thread to find co-op partners: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/175448-trophy-boosting-thread-read-first-post.html

897.jpg Ninja Killer (B)

Kill 5 enemy players while using Invisibility in DOOM 3 Multiplayer

Note: This trophy is cumulative.

In Frag Chamber, after activating the Frag Chamber, there should be an Invisibility pick up in the centre of the chamber. Pick up the Invisibility and kill 5 people. You don't have to do this in one go, you can pick it up multiple times and it will still count. This trophy can be boosted, refer to the boosting thread to find partners: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/175448-trophy-boosting-thread-read-first-post.html

874.jpg Clean Sheet (B)

Complete a DOOM 3 Multiplayer match without dying

Simply join a game and spectate. You will get the trophy as you technically didn't die. If you want though you can just hid away in a corner, under some stairs etc but spectating is the easiest way to get this trophy.

126.jpg Berserked! (B)

Use Berserk to kill a player in DOOM 3 Multiplayer

The Berserk pickup can be found in The Edge 2. When you enter the teleporter, you will see the Berserk pickup after you teleport to your destination. Pick it up and kill someone. This trophy can also be boosted, refer to the boosting thread to find partners: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/175448-trophy-boosting-thread-read-first-post.html

C5A.jpg 2 Deaths - 1 Gun (B)

Kill two enemies in the same room with a rocket in DOOM 3 Multiplayer

You must kill two people with one shot of the rocket launcher. There is no easy way to get this trophy without boosting it. If you get lucky you may encounter 2 people in a room at once, the rocket launcher has a lot of splash damage so aim at the floor near the two and fire. The easiest way to get this trophy though is to boost it, refer to the thread below to find partners: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/175448-trophy-boosting-thread-read-first-post.html

987.jpg DOOM: Neophyte (B)

Complete any level of DOOM in single player

Simply complete the first level. Level 1 takes less than a minute if you run through the level so this trophy will prove no problem. As soon as you go into the Transfer Room and exit, the trophy will unlock at the start of the next level.

BF3.jpg DOOM: Episode 1 (B)

Complete DOOM Episode 1 on 'Hurt Me Plenty' or higher in single player

Story related and cannot be missed. Make sure you're playing on "Ultra-Violence" difficulty! That way you won't have to do another playthrough.

See DOOM: Rampage for more info.

0B8.jpg DOOM: Episode 2 (B)

Complete DOOM Episode 2 on 'Hurt Me Plenty' or higher in single player

Story related and cannot be missed. Make sure you're playing on "Ultra-Violence" difficulty! That way you won't have to do another playthrough.

See DOOM: Rampage for more info.

192.jpg DOOM: Episode 3 (B)

Complete DOOM Episode 3 on 'Hurt Me Plenty' or higher in single player

Story related and cannot be missed. Make sure you're playing on "Ultra-Violence" difficulty! That way you won't have to do another playthrough.

See DOOM: Rampage for more info.

007.jpg DOOM: Episode 4 (B)

Complete DOOM Episode 4 on 'Hurt Me Plenty' or higher in single player

Story related and cannot be missed. Make sure your playing on "Ultra-Violence" difficulty! That way you won't have to do another playthrough.

See DOOM: Rampage for more info.

063.jpg DOOM: Rampage (B)

Complete all DOOM levels on 'Ultra-Violence' or higher in single player

This is the only trophy on DOOM that might give you trouble. The key to this is to skip any enemies you can, constantly save, find secrets and try to conserve as much ammo as possible. You'll get the hang of this soon, especially if you've already played the game once before. Ultra-Violence isn't the hardest difficulty either so it's not as bad as it sounds. The higher the difficulty in this game, the more enemies there are. You also take a lot more damage from hits.

E2B.jpg DOOM: Nightmare (B)

Complete any DOOM level on 'Nightmare' in single player

Self explanatory, however I recommend you do this on the very first level of Episode One. When you first start the level there should be a room to the left with a couple shotgun enemies. In the room, down the stairs, there should be two pillars, one of which has a switch. Activate the switch then a secret door should open back towards the start of the level (It will close after 5 seconds), which will take you outside. After going outside grab the armour in the centre, then you will see a door to the right with a few shotgun enemies in there, kill them, grab the health, grab the shotgun ammo. Open the wall and kill the enemies behind you, then open the last door and be careful as there is some demons here which will take almost all your health off it you get hit by a fireball.

2A1.jpg DOOM: Burning Out of Control (B)

Complete any DOOM level with 100% kills, items and secrets in single player

Once again, I recommend you do this in the first level of Episode One. Also, make sure you set your difficulty to the easiest possible which is "I'm too young to die". All you want to do is walk over all of the items and unlock all the secret doors. Here is a video by MikeG5SR:

B7E.jpg DOOM II: Just Getting Started (B)

Complete any DOOM II level in single player

Self explanatory, all you need to do is complete the first level you play on DOOM II. Some levels are very short if you just run through them, killing and collecting only what you need.

974.jpg DOOM II: From Earth to Hell (B)

Complete all levels in 'DOOM II: Hell on Earth' in single player

Self explanatory. If you struggle with the final boss, keep in mind you must shoot him with the rocket launcher by going riding the pillar once it's activated and must repeat the process until it's dead. Here is a video guide by Rami Safadi:

F23.jpg DOOM II: And Back Again (B)

Complete all levels in 'DOOM II: No Rest for the Living' in single player

Self explanatory. Please note there isn't a trophy for completing this on Ultra-Violence, so please be aware of this before you play on "No Rest for the Living". Simply complete it on the "Too Young to Die difficulty", as that way there will be less enemies and it's harder for you to die.

99C.jpg DOOM II: Superior Firepower (B)

Complete all 'DOOM II: Hell on Earth' levels on 'Ultra-Violence' or higher in single player

This is the only trophy in DOOM 2 that might give you trouble. The key to this is to skip any enemies you can, constantly save, find secrets and try to conserve as much ammo as possible, just like the original DOOM. You'll get the hang of this soon, especially if you've already played either DOOM or DOOM 2.

FD2.jpg DOOM II: A Really Big Gun (B)

Find a BFG in DOOM II single player

Self explanatory. Simply find a BFG and pick it up. Not all of them are hidden so you should get this by the time you're done as there are many opportunities to pick one up. Don't worry about this trophy as it will come naturally.

B76.jpg DOOM II: Burning Out of Control (B)

Complete any DOOM II level with 100% kills, items and secrets in single player

I recommend you do this on the very first level of Hell on Earth and the easiest difficulty as well. Here's a video of 100% in the first level if you're having trouble but be aware that to get the rocket launcher you have to run onto the green button on the raised platform, like I do.

872.jpg DOOM II: An Important Looking Door (B)

Find a secret area of a DOOM II level in single player

A secret area is one where you have to press a wall to reach it, it is very difficult to find them without a guide as they just look like walls. See DOOM II: Burning Out of Control for a video guide on the secret rooms in the very first level.

Quality guide just letting you know that you are missing the video for:-

DOOM: Burning Out of Control

Complete any DOOM level with 100% kills, items, and secrets in single player

Once again, I recommend you do this in the first level of the first episode. Also, make sure you set your difficulty to the easiest possible, I'm too young to die. If you're having problems with this trophy, please refer to this video:

Damn, beat me to it, for Nightmare and Doom 1 + 2, I have a couple of threads that will help a bit more comprehensively:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/178362-tips-nightmare-mode.html

http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/177540-tips-doom-doom-2-trophies.html

I didn't write the one for RoE Nightmare yet, but plan to. (Just trying to get over the trauma from the Vulgars, they are 100x worse than imps).

Also, you CAN use the artifact on Betruger's 2nd phase, the hell time and beserk powers work perfectly, it's just the invincibility one that doesn't. But it does indeed work.

How the hell am I supposed to get this trophy?

Turncoat

Get 2 demons to fight each other in DOOM 3, RoE, or Lost Mission

I've completed Doom 3 twice and RoE once and the trophy still didn't pop. All demons attack only me, and if they hit each other with their attacks, nothing happens at all. Also in this trophy guide I can't even find the trophy, why isn't it in here? Please help me :(

EDIT: Great guide so far, by the way :)

Small issue with your story related spoilers, other than them being empty. Your spoilers from Gimmie Time and Gimmie Power are labeled the same (BOSS1)

The RoE bosses? Yeah, DS has just PMed me them so I'll add them in now :)

^ Guy above Woz, try Hell in the DOOM 3 campaign. You know where you get the BFG? Run into that area and just sit there, make sure you saved prior to this part. There will be two arch demons that can't fit through the gate, plus some imps will be on the other side. It won't work every time but just keep pacing back and forward and an imp will most likely hit an arch demon. I think the arch demon can hit the arch demon and they will start fighting, but I'm not sure.

EDIT: Your right, turnout isn't there :o

That's caused by the boss killing himself so you will have to redo that section but make sure you plant the killing blow and ensure the boss doesn't get too close else the explosions from his gun will kill him: http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doom-3-bfg-edition/178703-your-not-my-boss-glitched.html

BTW, great guide guys :). Also, is the Super Shotgun the Double Barrelled one?

Yeah, but the gun is really bad imo. It's only good against bosses. It reloads every shot, which takes a couple of seconds to do. If you miss you'll lose lots of health getting attacked while reloading.

We will add in links, glitches etc later today :)

Two other things.

1. The description for Evil Nightmare can be misleading. On RoE you don't get to use the Soul Cube, while the discussion of the trophy in the guide says you do. Just a heads up because that can cause confusion.

2. There is another spot to get the Turncoat trophy. I don't remember exactly where, but it's a section where there is a lift that you can either control manually or you can select locations and the lift automatically takes you to them. The first time around I chose a location and as the lift went by it passed near a wall that reveals a Z-Sec, armor, etc. As the lift kept moving a Cacodemon appeared and the Z-Sec shot him as the Cacodemon went to follow me. I got it completely by surprise. If it interests you, the wall goes down on an intersection, and the lift moved perpendicularly from where the wall opened up. I'll try to get the location and get back to you guys.

EDIT: Found the spot. It's in Communications Transfer. It's from that spot and to the right.
