Introduction

There are 64 PDAs (If you count your own), 32 Storage Lockers and 17 videos in the DOOM 3 campaign, you have to collect all of them for collectible trophies. There is also 9 PDAs (If you don't count your own) in the Lost Mission campaign, there is no need to collect the Video Logs or open the lockers in this campaign as there is no trophy for doing so. Finally there is 22 PDAs in the Resurrection of Evil campaign, like Lost Mission you only need to collect the PDAs as there isn't any trophies for the Video Logs or Lockers. Here are the trophies you will unlock by following this guide:

FAQ

Q. I missed a PDA(or other collectible), what do I do?

A. Well, you are screwed for getting the trophy. You cannot backtrack through levels and there is no level select option so if you miss one, then you will have to start again. What I recommend doing is saving in a new slot every time you transfer to a new level. That way if you miss one you can go all the way back to the one you missed. Sadly you'll have to re-collect all of them past that point.

Q. Can I check how many I have?

A. You can check on your PDA, press :select: and it will tell you all the names of the PDAs you have and also video logs. You cannot check lockers however.

Q. I unlocked Goody Finder early

A. This is a known glitch but it's a good one. It might be because of the Martian lockers, in the videos below I only opened 1 of them (2nd one in Delta Labs). You will unlock the trophy by following opening only the storage lockers, it just unlocks early if you open the others. I haven't included the others in this guide.

Q. If I die and have to reload my save from before, do I have to pick them up again from where I reloaded?

A. Yes you do, but I'm sure this won't be too much of a problem as you should be saving every so often.

If anyone is getting impatient waiting for this... there is a good guide here:

JayHopkins, I know you're trying to help, but it's kind of rude to post a link to an external guide within the thread of a nearly finished guide here. I've removed it. If people are impatient, they know how to use Google and find existing FAQs and guides for games like this, that are older.

I'll finish up that video tomorrow, i just need to record 5 more. I've just been very busy lately as I've severed a tendon in my finger and I've had other things going on. Will be finished by tomorrow though :)

What's the status? Great guides so far, by the way!

  • 2 weeks later...

Thanks for the guides :)

It's really nice to have all collectibles covered in one guide (sucks to follow multiple guides at the same time).

If I may suggest so: Since you have covered Alpha Labs and Delta Labs in a single video each it would have been better to notify if you left one level and entered the next one (Delta Labs 2 -> Delta Labs 3), just to avoid confusion.

Yeah, would have been better if I did that. All the areas are story related though and I made sure to start off at a easily recognizable place. So hopefully you don't have too much trouble :)

good job on the guide. I'm using it now and its making everything much easier.....

I used it already on lost mission, and I got the trophy... all 9 PDA's were really easy to find, almost didnt need the guide...

however, i'm juuuust starting up ROE now. I got the first one easy, and as I look at the video for the second one, it looks like alot of stuff to go through, as if it were hidden or secret....

I have a question.... are alot of the 21 PDAs here secret, or hidden? or are they all easy to find, like the Lost Mission ones?? Reason I ask, its sorta a pain in the ass to go back and forth to my computer, to ps3, and also sucks being paranoid thinking "zomg did i miss one" lol..... so are they easy to find? or hidden? thanks again :) hacking back into level 1 now.
