All other trophies can be achieved using chapter select. -Glitched trophies: None -Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, see High IQ and Puzzler -Do cheat codes disable trophies?: No cheat codes. Road Map Step 1 – Hard Puzzle Playthrough Play through the game with puzzles set to Hard difficulty. Enjoy the storyline, get to grips with the (sometimes glitchy) control system and AI. It is recommended that you try to obtain all the collectibles in this step, as well as doing some of the miscellaneous trophies like Soundly Beaten or Beg For Mercy, though you can mop these up later if you’d prefer. In this step, you will unlock the following trophies for certain: Crate work Fast on your feet On the right tracks A Plumb Job Hack Job Tested to Destruction The Open Road No time to hang around Hello Sweetie Soundly Beaten Toxic Relationship Ye Doctor Goodbye Blue Boy Winch Way Next A steal Hello Sexy Sent packing One in the eye for the good guy Geronimo! Universal Destruction Avoided And most likely: Smooth Operator Thorough Pucker Up If you played through the game with the recommended parameters above, then upon completion, you will also obtain: Puzzler High IQ You may also unlock the collectible trophies should you attempt them during your first playthrough. Step 2 – Speed Run If you didn’t unlock Flying Doctor during your first playthrough (which is likely if you took time to collect collectibles etc,) then play the story again with the puzzle difficulty set to Easy in order to whizz through in as quick a time as possible. Under 300 minutes is an easy time to beat, especially on Easy, so this shouldn’t take long. You'll also likely unlock the rest of the speed run trophies here too, which are: Clever Clogs Smart Cookie Clear Vision Timey Wimey Quick Getaway Deleted Elementary Exterminated Step 3 – Clean Up If you haven’t acquired all of the collectibles or the trophies for completing certain sections of the game/puzzles under a required time, now is the time to go for these. Set the puzzle difficulty to Easy, and this will be simple. The collectible trophies are as follows: Head Scratcher Paper Trail Short Story Hat's off to you Long Story Diarist Mad Hatter Trophy Guide The trophies in the guide are separated into four categories: - Story-Related, where you will find trophies that are either unmissable due to being tied to story events, or are best completed at certain parts of the story. - Puzzle-Related, where you will find trophies associated with completing certain puzzle types in a certain amount of time. - Collectible-Related, where you will find trophies associated with collecting certain amounts of the Doctor’s hats or River’s diary pages. - Miscellaneous, where you will find the remaining few trophies, and the Platinum. Story-Related Trophies http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/712.jpg Smooth Operator Press 10 TARDIS console buttons When you begin the game, you will be able to press at different consoles in the TARDIS. Press ten times, and this will unlock. You will return to the TARDIS numerous times during the game, so you don’t need to do this all at once, if you don’t want to. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/712.jpgThorough Scan 10 objects When you are in possession of the sonic screwdriver, the Doctor and River can scan their surroundings by using the right control stick to get hints and tips on how to proceed. Scan everything in sight in the first level, and you will unlock this very quickly. If not, then you will obtain it as you progress, since you will need to scan many doors and platforms in order to continue with the game. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/712.jpg Crate work Use the gold bullion crate to smash your way out of the Bank of England Unmissable. As you near the end of the first level, Stormy Beginnings, you will unlock this after destroying a grate by pushing a crate of gold bars onto it. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/780.jpg The Stormcage Redemption Escape Stormcage without being detected. Complete the second level, Stormcage Escape, without being detected by the guards or the security lights in order to unlock this. Take your time, learn the guards and lights movements, and you should unlock this easily. The most difficult section here involves a guard patrolling between two consoles, and another guard facing away from you to the right. Wait for the guard to finish with the two consoles - he will then walk towards the camera. When he turns around and heads back to the console on the right, this is the time when you should make your move. You will have plenty of time to sneak over the boxes and kiss the guard facing away from you so that he can open the door. If you trip an alarm by standing in the green lights, or if you are spotted and captured by a guard, pause the game and return to the main menu to retry. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/780.jpg Pucker Up Kiss 6 Stormcage Guards During the second level, Stormcage Escape, River will be able to kiss Stormcage guards with her hallucinogenic lipstick by creeping up behind them with and pressing . Do this to six guards, and you will unlock this. There are plenty of guards during the level, and this is cumulative across all playthroughs of the level. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/780.jpg Quick Getaway Escape Stormcage in 8 minutes Complete the second level, Stormcage Escape, in under 8 minutes. With the puzzle difficulty set to Easy, this should be fairly straightforward. If not, then replay the level and try to learn the movements of the guards in order to progress quicker and not get caught. See The Stormcage Redemption for tips on the hardest sections of this area. As an indication of the strictness of this time limit, I was able to get this trophy and The Stormcage Redemption in the same runthrough, so you have plenty of time to be patient and still complete the level in under 8 minutes. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Fast on your feet Beat the Cybermen to the Underground refugee camp Unmissable. [spoiler=1]During the third level, London Underground, River and the Doctor will flee through the underground train system away from a battalion of Cybermen. Complete this section and this trophy will unlock once you have sealed the doors behind you, trapping the Cybermen. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg On the right tracks Defeat the Cybermen in the Underground refugee camp Unmissable. [spoiler=0000]At the end of the third level, London Underground, River and the Doctor will split up. As the Doctor, jump across the railway tracks and climb the ladder on the far right. Solve the redirection puzzle here and the action will switch back to River. Run between the three tunnels, using the sonic screwdriver to activate the circuit boxes if you see Cybermen coming towards you in order to electrocute them. Survive until the time runs out, and once the Doctor and River reunite, head all the way to the left and climb the ladder to complete the level and unlock this trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/712.jpg Stunning work Stun 5 Cybermen When playing as River during the fourth level, City Streets, use the power shot function (Hold ) of her blaster to disable 5 Cybermen temporarily. [spoiler=2]During the fourth level, City Streets, the Doctor will head back in time to Victorian London. Near the end of this section, you must complete a puzzle to alter some blueprints. The trophy will unlock once the puzzle has been completed and you have returned to the present day. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/712.jpg Hack Job Open the security door in the office block Unmissable. [spoiler=3]During the fourth level, City Streets, River will need to avoid some Cybermen and hack some consoles in order to open a security door to escape them. The trophy will unlock once the door has been opened and you have escaped through it. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/712.jpg Tested to Destruction Re-route the thermionic consoles in the Cyberfactory Unmissable. Complete the fifth level, Ninth Legion Cyberfactory, and this will unlock once you have collected the first piece of the Eternity Clock and escaped the factory through the time tunnel. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/780.jpg Deleted Finish the Cyberfactory in 20 minutes Finish the fifth level, Ninth Legion Cyberfactory, in under 20 minutes. With the puzzle difficulty set to Easy, this should be fairly straightforward. If not, then replay the level and try to learn the quickest ways to complete each platforming section, and try not to die when the Cybermen are chasing you – this will add to your time. It is very easy to unlock this trophy, as the time limit is fairly lenient and you should be able to finish the level in under 10 minutes if you are careful. The trap you may fall into is rushing too much, leading you to take risks and get killed by errant Cybermats - take your time, and you will easily be able to unlock this trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/712.jpg The Open Road Lower the drawbridge on Old London Bridge Unmissable. [spoiler=5]Halfway through the sixth level, Old London Bridge, you will lower a drawbridge near where you began the level. The trophy will unlock once the drawbridge is down and you have crossed over it. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/780.jpg Elementary Finish return to Victorian London in 15 minutes Complete the seventh level, Somewhere in Victorian London, in less than 15 minutes. With the puzzle difficulty set to Easy, this should be fairly straightforward. If not, then replay the level and try to learn the movements of the guards and Silurians in order to progress quicker and not get caught out. I was able to finish this level in under 10 minutes, so the time limit here isn't too demanding. Just don't spend too much time messing around - head straight for the sewers, then get the sonic screwdriver, and head back to the sewers right away. Be careful, as rushing is your enemy and will lead to you running into Silurians and dying, which will add to your time. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg No time to hang around Collect the Stasis Field Generator in the Silence Base Unmissable. Complete the eighth level, Somewhere in Elizabethan London, and this will unlock once you have collected the Stasis Field Generator inside the Silence ship. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpgSilently Silencing the Silence Outwit the Silence without being checkpointed [spoiler=6]Complete the section inside the Silence ship in the eighth level, Somewhere in Elizabethan London, without losing sight of the Silence and having to return to the beginning of the section in order to unlock this. Go slowly, and don’t try to rush this section, and you should be fine. If you don't think you're going to make a jump without losing a Silent, then wait until you can. There's no time limit, so take your time and you should be able to unlock this in one go. You can set the puzzle difficulty to Easy to make the stasis field generator puzzles easier, but this won’t actually affect the movement of the Silence themselves. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Hello Sweetie Wake up River in the tomb Unmissable. This will unlock at the beginning of the ninth level, Love A Tomb!, after the Doctor and River reunite. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Soundly Beaten Sonic disarm 5 Silurians Unmissable. During the tenth level, Deep Beneath The Earth, River will have to fend for herself against an army of Silurians using the sonic screwdriver. Use the screwdriver with the right control stick and match the waveforms to disarm a Silurian. Do this five times, and you will unlock this trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Toxic Relationship Defeat Vekkis Unmissable. Complete the tenth level, Deep Beneath The Earth, and the trophy will unlock. [spoiler=25425]In order to defeat Vekkis, you will first have to move a lift around a column as the Doctor in order to reach some puzzle consoles. Solve the puzzle, and the action will switch to River. You will have to defeat some Silurians here (See Soundly Beaten) - be careful and make sure to hide behind the shields which raise and fall alternatively. You can usually defeat one Silurian before the shield falls, so try to beat one and then run for the next shield. Once you have defeated enough, the platforms will raise and you will be able to reach a valve. Turn this, and the action will switch back to the Doctor. Repeat this pattern four times, and Vekkis will be defeated and the trophy will unlock. River's sections are much more difficult than the Doctor's. Be careful, since if you die, you will have to start the pattern entirely from the beginning, which can be frustrating. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Ye Doctor Discover the statue in the Elizabethan quadrangle Unmissable. Completing the twelfth level, 545 Years Earlier, will unlock this trophy. The Doctor will come across a statue of himself, and be less than impressed. The trophy should unlock here. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Goodbye Blue Boy Outwit the Strategist Dalek Unmissable. Lemmerman
http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg A steal Defeat the Silence and steal their time capsule Unmissable. Complete the fifteenth level, Silence Time Capsule, and this trophy will unlock. [spoiler=777]This level involves alternating between puzzle consoles as the Doctor, which are straightforward, and then shooting the Silence as River. Run around the platform, since you won't be able to see all of the Silence otherwise, and don't bother with the power-shoot. Quick-shoot all the Silence until they fall, and once you have repeated this pattern four times, the level will be complete and the trophy will unlock. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Hello Sexy Find the TARDIS in the Dalek time lock Unmissable. Complete the sixteenth level, Inside The Time Lock, and this trophy will unlock. This level and the next will seem to blend into one, but once you have reached the TARDIS for the first time after dodging some Daleks, this trophy will unlock. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/780.jpg Exterminated Finish time-locked London in 20 minutes Complete the sixteenth level, Inside The Time-Lock in under 20 minutes to unlock this trophy. With the puzzle difficulty set to Easy, this should be fairly straightforward. If not, then replay the level and try to learn the movements of the Daleks in order to progress quicker and not get caught out. This is another lenient time limit, which you should be able to complete in under 10 minutes at a stretch, although under 15 is more likely. As with the previous chapters, don't rush the sections where you must dodge Daleks, since dying will just add to your time. Be aware that running past Daleks in the background will make this much easier - as long as you keep moving, they shouldn't be able to hit you. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Sent packing Send the Dalek Supreme to Antarctica Unmissable. Complete the seventeenth level, Dalek Command Node, and once you have hacked a final terminal and teleported the one remaining Dalek away (complete with cries of NO! NO! NO!), this trophy will unlock. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg One in the eye for the good guy Shoot the Emperor Dalek in the eyestalk Unmissable [spoiler=10]During the final battle with the Emperor Dalek, there will be sections where you control River. Use her power-shot ability (Aim with the right control stick, then hold until the gun bleeps, then release) to shoot the boss in the eyestalk and this will unlock. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Geronimo! Defeat the Emperor of the Daleks Unmissable. Complete the final level and defeat the final boss to unlock this. [spoiler=999]This is another fight in which you will alternate between River and the Doctor. As the Doctor, find the terminal which is in front of the "arm" that is circling the room. Crouch down underneath it, and the Emperor's attacks will not be able to hit you. Solve the puzzle here, and the action will switch to River. As River, find the Emperor Dalek's eyestalk and power-shoot it (see One in the eye for the good guy). The Emperor's shell will close, and it will rotate around the room. Follow it and shoot it in the eye. This will repeat until the action switches back to the Doctor. This is mostly the pattern for the fight, with occasional trips on the lift up to different levels. Defeat the Emperor Dalek and claim the last piece of the Eternity Clock, and this trophy will unlock. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/780.jpg Universal Destruction Avoided Complete the game Unmissable. Obtained when the game credits are rolling after defeating the final boss and solving the final Time Corridor. Puzzle-Related Trophies http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Clever clogs Complete Data Link puzzle in 60 seconds A Data Link puzzle is the type in which you must link up tiles with pictures on to join one point to another. The first time you find one of these is in the Stormcage Breakout level, right at the end. With the puzzle difficulty set to Easy, this shouldn’t be difficult. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Smart Cookie Complete Re-router puzzle in 60 seconds A Re-router puzzle is the type in which you must change a circuit to light certain lamps. You encounter a lot of these during the Somewhere In Victorian London level. With the puzzle difficulty set to Easy, this shouldn’t be too hard. You can speed up your time here by pressing when you have lit the correct lamps to get the next configuration quicker. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Clear Vision Complete Mind Map puzzle on Medium or Hard in 60 seconds A Mind Map puzzle is the type in which you must spin four discs to create a picture. You first encounter one of these in the first level, Stormy Beginnings, right at the end. With the puzzle difficulty set to Medium, this shouldn’t be too hard. If you attempt this on puzzle difficulty Hard, here's a helping hand: "On Hard mode, move the "first"/middle circle to the right until the that part of the mind map is correctly aligned. After doing so, scroll up once to the "second" (or third coming from the top) movable circle and move it to the right until the image completes itself." (Credit to Bucket for this handy tip!) http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/869.jpg Timey Wimey Complete a Time Corridor in 2 minutes You enter Time Corridors after collecting pieces of the Eternity Clock, like at the end of the Ninth Legion Cyberfactory or Deep Beneath The Earth levels. With the puzzle difficulty set to Easy, this shouldn’t be too hard. To complete these puzzles, you must use the and buttons in order to rotate the "wheels" of the corridor so that you have a platform in front of you that "matches up" with the platform you are standing on. For example, if you are on a platform made of the bottom left four squares, then you would require one with the bottom right four squares. Press when you have a matching pair, and then use the left stick to move the Doctor onto the new platform. Continue in this manner until you reach the TARDIS. If you spend too long on one platform and it is struck by three bolts of lightning, then it will fall apart and you must retry. This all sounds very complicated, but once you actually get to do it, it will make much more sense. You can finish one of these puzzles in just over a minute, even with a few mistakes, so this trophy shouldn't be too hard. Collectible-Related Trophies For these trophies, you will find that the Collectibles Guide is most helpful in locating them all. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Head scratcher Collect 5 Hats See Mad Hatter. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Paper trail Collect 5 Diary pages See Diarist. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Brimming with enthusiasm Collect 10 Hats See Mad Hatter. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/B36.jpg Short story Collect 10 Diary pages See Diarist. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/869.jpg Hat's off to you Collect 20 Hats See Mad Hatter. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/869.jpg Long story Collect 20 Diary pages See Diarist. Miscellaneous Trophies http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1537/869.jpg Flying Doctor (Missable) Complete the game in 300 minutes The game isn’t too long, so you should be able to do this quite easily. If you have trouble, set the puzzle difficulty to Easy – this will save you time on some of the more difficult puzzles, as well as timed sections where you must complete puzzles in order to evade capture. Unfortunately there's no way of knowing how long it has taken you in-game, so time yourself with some kind of stopwatch to be sure. (Credit to laticspieman for the tip!) As a rule of thumb, I unlocked this in just over four hours, and the time limit is five. If you'd like to glitch through this after playing through once, you can actually just play the first level, Stormy Beginnings, then quit out and play the final level, Dalek Flagship. Bucket
For the Elementary trophy, you mean Silurians Random tip for Clear Vision trophy/Hard mode mind maps in general (once you list that and the others): On Hard mode, move the "first"/middle circle to the right until the that part of the mind map is correctly aligned. If you attempt this on puzzle difficulty Hard, here's a helping hand: "On Hard mode, move the "first"/middle circle to the right until the that part of the mind map is correctly aligned. After doing so, scroll up twice to the "third" (or second coming from the top) movable circle and move it to the right until the image completes itself." (Credit to Bucket for this handy tip!) are you sure this works tried it out and it dont seem to work, as it will always knocks out the center bit when you put the 2nd part of the tip into action? Yeah, that'd be my fault. I think I mixed my notes up a bit - I'll go check, but I'd assume the actual method I had used was "scroll up once to the "second" (or third coming from the top)", so the opposites of what I said originally. In any case, not Lemmerman's fault EDIT: Hmm, the original post still works for me. I align the part that is the very middle (first) by spinning it right. Once that's aligned, I press up twice to reach the "third" wheel and spin it to the right - it eventually completes the image. If doing that changes the first one though, then the solution may be random though it seems to always be the same for each mind map. Here's which wheels each wheel (4 is the top one, 1 is the middle one) spin when I spin it (you can check each wheel to see which ones they spin, then simply use the one that doesn't spin the middle wheel to solve them): 4 = 4,3,1 3 = 4,3,2 2 = 3,2,1 1 = 4,2,1 Edited May 29, 2012 by Bucket
johnnyhotrocks
sweet but i gave it another go (already got the trophy as it wasn't to hard) but i move the middle #1 bit to the right so its in the right way for the picture, and when i move the ring part #3 to the right for me it always spins the #1 ring as well. granted i only did this on the very first level but i was testing itso when i play the hard mode i was hoping your trick would make it easier. not sure these puzzles will be the hard ones but maybe the matching the shapes when you only have the right amount of titles to use to get from 1 side to the other. they are more annoying than hard if you know what i mean. Roughdawg4
I found a much easier way to get flying doctor and it prevents playing the game a 2nd time http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/doctor-who-eternity-clock/160622-flying-doctor-trophy-easy-way.html
saintdave
I am proud to confirm if you beat the first chapter on hard puzzle, quit out at start of chap 2, select last chapter on hard puzzle and beat it you will get high IQ. Doing just the last chapter on hard got me the trophy for doing the game on medium puzzle. With both chapters the hard trophy

Bucket
I am proud to confirm if you beat the first chapter on hard puzzle, quit out at start of chap 2, select last chapter on hard puzzle and beat it you will get high IQ. Doing just the last chapter on hard got me the trophy for doing the game on medium puzzle. With both chapters the hard trophy I tried chapter select for the hard mode trophy when I was still playing, but didn't get it. Granted, I only tried the last level so the first level is probably the key to unlocking it this way then ^^
saintdave
Yeah you must do first aswell. Oddly when I did just the last level on hard it unlocked the trophy for doing the puzzles on medium.
DanTheMan
This is just not unlocking for me, i have even deleted save and game data then played on easy all the way through again did first and last level on hard but nothing. because i started on hard then dropped difficulty coz i was miffed off with it and the guide said first play on hard but then at the bottom of guide there mention of difficulty glitch(thanks for that:think:)why not mention it at does difficulty affect trophies at the top so i dont think this is 100% unless you dont change difficulty just noticed it has been edited since i last read it(good job) Anyboby had same trouble as me and found way to do it ?
