Introduction

Disgaea 3 takes the simple concept of having different types of units kill each other and takes it up a notch or twelve. With the incredible depth and replay value of the game, you’ll be reincarnating your characters for hours and hours to come. The trophies in this game are hard to get. Most of them involve some form of luck as you either have to find the items needed to enter certain item worlds or just find the enemies needed in the item worlds. If that wasn’t enough for you, some of the trophies are ridiculously hard to obtain. Making it through some of the item worlds without exiting may sound hard (which very much can be) but imagine going through a world with the strongest possible enemies without exiting? Getting there alone is a daunting task, but if you are up to the challenge of getting one of the hardest to obtain platinum trophies, read on for the quickest way to get this platinum.

Step 1: Pre Game Research

This phase is OPTIONAL BUT RECCOMENDED. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED! You’re going to want to start out by researching the game and its various techniques, characters, and strategies. This is going to take a few hours, but it will save you so much time during your playthrough that it is all worth it. You’re going to want to make sure that you study up on the various characters, unique and standard, and their moves and uses. You should go through and learn all of the games terminology, including reincarnation, evilities, Power Leveling, and many others. You will learn most of them in the beginning of the game but not in the depth required to excel in the game. There are many guides on gameFaqs and even this site, I suggest looking up a few and reading more than one, three is a safe bet.

Step 2: The Main Story

Sadly, you don’t get very many trophies during the Main Story. You’ll actually only get a few most likely. The good news is that it doesn’t take too long to finish (compared to the post story phase) so you should focus getting to know the game and learning how to use your units effectively. You should use what you’ve learned from your pre-game research to your advantage; use multiple types of units to find out which units truly fit your play style. What looks good on paper may not look good on the screen. If there are any trophies which are beyond simple, then go ahead and get those. Also, you will want to get “Cinco de Panelo” here, there is a story mission which is great for obtaining this trophy. Once you’ve finished the story, read on.

Step 3: Beyond

At this point, all that’s left is your post game trophy hunting. You’re going to want to really start to strengthen your characters using the power leveling method of your choice (there are many of them, look through some guides mentioned in Step 1 for more details.) You’re mainly going to be going through item worlds; you will get your damage trophies, pirating trophies, treasure trophies, and pirate trophies here. You will more likely than not get the rest of your trophies here as well, as you will be playing the game for hours and hours and hours and hours and hours on end. Going through the maps acquired in the class world help as well, the characters obtained through these maps are quality units. So in short, go through item worlds until you’ve killed all of the pirates, gotten all the item world completion trophies, done enough damage, and anything other trophy requirement you haven’t fulfilled.

Step 4: Clean Up

Did you miss a trophy somewhere? Are you only a few away from platinum? At this point, go through item worlds or whatever stage needed to get your trophies. You’re almost at platinum, just put the finishing touches on the game.
