Due to the nature of this game and how you do not come across the collectibles in a linear fashion, and most people won't find them in the same order each time, I have attempted to make it as easy as possible by creating maps, text and video guides. The collectibles are colored by type and numbered by the actual description of the collectible you find in game and not the possible order in which you come across it within the game. There is a text description in the posts below as well as a time link to the video. This will allow you to play back videos in the order that "you" come across them.

Note: If you pass the point of no return and haven't found all the collectibles, you will have to start a new game to find the ones you're missing. There is a fast travel station at this point at the end of the game and you'll need to to confirm if you want to continue. So until you have done everything, don't continue. Also, collectibles are immediately saved when you pick them up. So no worries if you die, restart or quit out.

Some mobile devices (ie, all Apple mobile products) YouTube app will not open timestamp video links and will always start playing from the beginning instead. View the text guide in the posts below for video timelines.

Angela Guerra Recording's

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hD90z55ptz8]Dead Island: Riptide ~ Angela Guerra Voice Recording Collectibles - YouTube[/ame]

Recording #1

- Right after arriving to the island, follow the path ahead that leads up. To the left will be a building you can jump into through the roof. Look in the corner.

Recording #2

- This is in Mataka Village which is nearly in the center of the map. The recording is in the house furthest South. To get inside, you'll need to enter the back door which will require you to climb up and drop down into the fenced in area behind the house. As you enter, it'll be on the right on a bottom shelf.

Recording #3

- This is located in the far North part of the map in an open camping area, just north of the crashed helicopter. It'll be a little further back on the right on a bench.

Recording #4

- Just west of Olivier Wenge's Hideout in the far north, there will be a workbench. To the right of that along the edge, closest to the water and near a locked chest, is this recording. It's in the same area where you have to save Tyler for a side quest.

Recording #5

- If you look at the Halai Village section of the map, you will see a stretch of buildings extending outwards on to the right. Just Northwest of the nearby workbench, there is a ladder in the water that takes you up to a blue building elevated above the water with a recording sitting on the table

Recording #6

-This won't be available until after you can enter the Research Laboratory. Once you do enter the Research Laboratory, instead of following the path to the right towards your objective, take the left path right from the start. You will need to avoid the mines. Cross over the fallen tree and on the other side, there will be a building that you can enter. Enter this building and climb a ladder in the back up to a second floor and the recording will be just in front of you on a table.

Recording #7

- This is one of two collectibles in the Ferry Docks area. After defeating the horde right before the ferry arrives, head across the way opposite of the gas station to the open warehouse and find this recording in the back on the right.

Recording #8

- We are now in Henderson for this and the rest of the recordings. No real landmarks to guide you here other than it's slightly East of the Military Base, but you'll know the area because there are a ton of red/white striped umbrellas. On one of the tables will be the voice recording.

Recording #9

- Along the very bottom of the map, there will be an sitting area. Be careful of the nearby Screamer. This is just south of Xavier's side quest and Ogio Moke's Laundry.

Recording #10

- Southwest corner of the Military Base in a tent and on a shelf. Edited by PS4Trophies Wozamil

John Morgan's Diaries

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EpBAWavvIcw]Dead Island: Riptide ~ John Morgan's Diary Collectibles - YouTube[/ame]

Diary #1

- After saving some locals in the Paradise survival camp, head back to the where you entered the area from and there will be a ladder that you can climb up and enter a door underneath a yellow stripped canopy. Just ahead of you when you enter this building will be the diary.

Diary #2

- In Halai Village safe area with other surviors, in the same building with the fast travel on your map, it'll be under a bed in the room where Marcus is.

Diary #3

- In Jimmy's Workshop, across the water from the Marina, climb up the ladder in the back corner that is in the water (or you can make your way around the right side of the building along the deck and jump across two openings until you reach this same point). From here, walk across a narrow plank until you reach a ladder that you climb to the roof.

Diary #4

- This is in the structure with the entrance to the tunnels. It's located on the second floor on a box near one of the positions you place the mini-gun.

Diary #5

- This is in the first room you enter in the Research Laboratory. It's on a desk in the corner.

Diary #6

- In the tunnels. You will see a large satellite dish. Before climbing your way down, there are some stairs that lead up to a prison cell looking area. Climb your way to back of that area and the diary will be sitting on a shelf.

Diary #7

- This, and all the rest of the Diaries are in Henderson. This one is located right in the middle of the map inside the Make Shift Hospital. Once you load in, it'll be on the desk immediately to your left.

Diary # 8

- Just south of the cinema, outside Infested Warehouse Dead Zone entrance, sitting on a table.

Diary #9

- As soon as you walk down some stairs and enter a flooded area near the Northern part of the map, take the first left and on your right you will come to a green crate on top of a couple brown boxes that will hold this diary.

Diary #10

- Just East of where you save Gianna. You'll see a blue awning with boards and barrels blocking what's hidden beyond it. Luckily, you can jump over the barrel and get the final diary. Edited by PS4Trophies Wozamil

Postcards from Palanai

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvJqnN9SpWQ]Dead Island: Riptide ~ Postcards from Palanai Collectibles ~ The Hoarder - YouTube[/ame]

Postcard #1

- After blowing up the bridge for Trevor in the Survivor camp, you can enter the "Drink Bar" next to where you took the missions from. It'll be on the counter

Postcard #2

- In the Kiwi Camping area, in a building on a hill to the East. To enter this building you need to enter through the front window by jumping over a barricade. It'll be on a table if you go around to the left.

Postcard #3

- In the Halai Village shop located in the middle of the map. Once you enter, look to the right and you'll see this on a short table.

Postcard #4

- Just west of Peter Spicer's Shack (and deadzone) in the Brerir Outpost, there is a building on a little island. On the north side, there is a piece of fallen roof that you can climb that leads to a platform with survival gear. On this is a mattress, and on that mattress is a postcard.

Postcard #5

- This is in Mataka Village. It's in the building you take the medicine to during Natural Resources. It'll be in the back right corner.

Postcard #6

- In Halai village, look for the buildings extending out to the right on your map. Near the start of this section of outreaching buildings, on the south side, there will be a blue house that you can walk around the outside of it and find the card sitting on a table.

Postcard #7

- This is in the Quarantine area of Henderson in Nick's House. This and the rest of the Postcards are in Henderson. Access to this is restricted until chapter 12. Once in Nick's House, go up the stairs in front of you and turn right when you reach the hallway. Take that down to the end and make a left. At the end of this hallway on the right is a closed door that opens to a bathroom. Between the sick and the tub will be the postcard.

Postcard #8

- This is the second location you move to after getting the key to open the gate when you first enter this map. Look for the "Bank of Henderson" sign above a door. It'll be to the right of that door on the ground.

Postcard # 9

- At the very bottom of the map, in the center, there will be a small building that you can enter and find the postcard on the left.

Postcard #10

- After leaving the northern most part of Henderson across a bridge, hang a left and down and around some stairs. Make your way to the very end of this path to find the card on the ground to your left.

Postcard #11

- Just a bit north of a workbench and NPC Damien's location on a table. Just a bit Northeast of the Military Base.

Postcard #12

- As you head South on the Eastern side of Henderson, you'll cross under an archway and see this postcard just past it on your left on a bench.

Postcard #13

- This postcard is in a shop with a workbench on the far Eastern side of the island in the Southern part of the map. It'll be pinned up on a corkboard.

Postcard #14

- Head to the roof of the cinema. From there, make your way to the Southeast corner and it'll be on a table underneath a yellow and white striped umbrella.

Postcard #15

- Just a little bit directly East of Villa Henderson on a park bench. The Villa is on the Western border about halfway down the map. Edited by PS4Trophies Wozamil

Added quick links underneath each map. For all collectibles in that particular map, click the number to open up a new window with a quick peek at where specifically the collectible is. Guide is finished.

A quick note. Some mobile devices won't open to the timestamp in the video. In that case just scrub forward to the correct one. They are all in order.

Thanks for the maps and text guides, they are really useful if you don't want to have your notebook sitting next to you! :)

Unfortunately you forgot to mark postcard #7 on the map (Henderson), could you please add it? Thanks again!

:o

I looked it over a hundred times to avoid that exact mistake. Thanks for finding that. I have put up a replacement map. And thank you for finding this useful. I do appreciate the feedback.

Your layout was very helpful for finding the few items I missed by the end of the game. I was able to find them systematically without backtracking an area for each type of item, saved me a bunch of time.

For some reason your links did not start the video where you cued it, but always at the beginning . I just ended up skipping to the time as it's listed in the URL (in seconds).

Great guide, thanks.

Glad it helped. What were you watching it on? I know many mobile devices don't support time stamped YouTube links. I'll add a chart with the video times in the text section

Good guide but the are a couple of errors in your text guide, island guide #16 is actually west not east as the text says, the other was something in Fort Henderson but I forget what it was, it should say check the seats on the back of the helicopter but it just says seats this is a little confusing. Other than that, great stuff as usual.

Thanks for pointing that out. I was never good with East/West, lol.

Also, could someone test the timestamp links on a portable Android device (phone or tablet)? Do they skip to the right section of the video, or does it start from the beginning? iPads and iPhones won't skip to the right section.

Hi

I have run into a problem. I have collected all the collectibles but the trophy didn't pop. It shows under trophy progress 60/61. Even though in my log book I counted & I have everything collected.

I even started a new game with another character n played till chapter 1 to get s postcard from survival camp but it still didn't pop.

Any suggestions ?

I really don't wanna play the game over again just for collectables.
