Below you will find links to the collectible guides for each level. In general I described each item in the order you come to them as you play through the levels.

 

An important thing to note is that if you are playing the game on Normal and without upgrades, time will become a critical factor later in the game. That means one of two things:

  1. Skip the collectibles the first time and focus on completing the objectives and then search the level after the timer goes away. You can also replay the levels later, maybe even replay the game on easy and the timer will be a non-issue. Understand that there are some items that can only be obtained the FIRST time you enter an area. If you miss or skip these you will be replaying the level.
  2. If you want to do everything in one playthrough you will need to move from point to point quickly. PAUSE the game after each pickup to read the next description to save the precious seconds it takes to read where to go next. Also you need to be simulatanously painting buildings and freeing citizens to get time extensions. Don't screw around and look at scenery or you will not complete some of the missions in time.

Gallery 1 – After the brief tutorial and using the first transformation engine, a wall will break away and an orange waterfall will start to pour down. When you walk through the new path you will be facing a big statue of the main enemy. Pan the camera to the right and you will see the first gallery picture behind a small rock ledge near the water’s edge.

 

Gallery 2 – Go back to where we first saw the front of the statue and this time pan the camera to the left. You will see some rock ledge steps leading up the mountain side. This will take you to an upper area of the orange waterfall. Continue up the steps on the right and follow the wood plank path to the second gallery picture.

 

Gallery 3 - After using the second transformation engine and breaking the statue, you will see a rock bridge in front of you. Walk under that archway and look to the right, behind another rock, for the third gallery picture.

 

Style 1 - Go over the rock bridge and you will come to a red waterfall and blue puddle. Complete the next couple of objectives and this will appear right in front of you.

 

Style 2 - Use the third transformation engine but before continuing across the new rock path in the water, pan the camera to the left. Jump up onto the ledge directly beside you and then jump up on to the next ledge as well. Another new path has appeared and it leads down to a boat in the water. Follow the trail down and jump onto the boat. Use :r1: to enter the hole and grab the second style collectible.

 

Lightbulb 1 – Right below the style 2 is this lightbulb.

 

Style 3 – Go back outside and return to the path to cross the water. As you approach the red question mark, you will see this collectible up on top of the houses to the right.

 

Gallery 4 – Complete the next couple of objectives and you will discover red, green and purple waterfalls in this area. There is a narrow path through the mountain side where the purple waterfall comes down. Go through it and turn right for this collectible on the beach.

 

Gallery 5 – Now go back toward the purple waterfall but instead of going back the way we came, go around the back of the rock it is pouring from. In the water is this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 2 – Return to the main area and follow the trail past the red and green waterfall. Jump up the ledge to the next objective and this one will appear right in front of you.

 

Style 4 - As you move on, you will come to a small wooden rope bridge. There will be a blue geyser shooting up from the rooftop on the left. Jump up to the roof, through the blue geyser and cross the next series of rooftops for this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 3 – Directly below style 4.

 

Lightbulb 4 – Below you is an orange puddle. Jump down to it and then jump up to the next ledge toward the houses. You will see this collectible in the middle of the row of houses in front of you on a roof.

 

Style 5 – From this roof, jump over the rope and down to the beach below. Pan the camera to the right to find this collectible near the base of the house.

 

Lightbulb 5 – Make your way back up to the main level and follow the trail to the second wooden rope bridge. The orange puddle should be below you on the left. If you look across the second rope bridge and pan the camera to the right, you will see a black ink waterfall. To the right of that is the next lightbulb so jump across to collect it.

 

Lightbulb 6 – Face the black ink waterfall and turn 180 degrees. Hop up the ledge and go straight out toward the ocean and this collectible will be on a platform in front of you.

 

Lightbulb 7 - Complete the objective to paint some trees and the fourth transformation engine will appear. Use it and a cave will open up. Go through the cave, swim across the pool of blue water and use the switch. Drop down the hole and follow this path to the left. In the blue water and under the platform you are standing on is this collectible.

 

Gallery 6 – In the same area as lightbulb 7, right by the blue switch.

 

Lightbulb 8 – As you continue through the cave you will come to an orange pool. Swim through and smash the crates in front of you for this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 9 – As you exit the cave you will get a cut-scene involving a lighthouse. You should see this one during the cut-scene and to your right as you exit the cave.

 

Lightbulb 10 – As you hop down the steps on the side of the orange waterfall, you should see this one on the mountainside. Jump over the orange stream to collect it.

 

Style 6 – At the bottom of the orange waterfall is your next objective marker. Straight ahead of you, over the black ink stream and under a walkway is this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 11 – In the lighthouse you will learn how to use elevators. To the right of the first elevator is this collectible.

 

Style 7 – After exiting the lighthouse, another new path will open up. Go through the gate and turn right to find this collectible at the end of a wooden walkway overlooking the water.

 

Lightbulb 12 - Continue on the main trail and cross two wooden rope bridges. Stop at the third bridge and drop down to grab this lightbulb which is beneath it.

 

Style 8 - Climb back up and cross the third and fourth bridge into the next area. Climb the houses to the right to make it to a ledge with this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 13 – Smash the crates on the dock below the house that style 8 was on.

 

Lightbulb 14 - Continue following the docks and painting the citizens and you will come to a red waterfall. Climb on top of the nearby roof and then onto the next rock ledge to find a lone crate. Smash it for this collectible.

 

Style 9 – Keep climbing these rock ledges to find this collectible at the top.

 

Lightbulb 15 – Pan the camera around and you should see 5 boats in the water. Facing the boats, pan the camera to the right and you will see this collectible on a wooden walkway below you, near the water’s surface. Drop down to pick it up.

 

Style 10 – Follow this walkway around and you will see another collectible on the wooden walkway just across the water. Jump over to collect it.

 

Lightbulb 16 – Grab this lightbulb which is right next to the above collectible.

 

Lightbulb 17 – From lightbulb 16, drop down to the dock of the housing section you are on, to find another lone crate. Smash it open and claim your prize.

 

Lightbulb 18 - Paint the boats red and when you get across the last one, you will see a lone crate in the middle of the dock. Break this one to get this collectible.

 

Gallery 7 - From the last crate, you will see an orange geyser shooting up by some houses on your right. Head toward the geyser and onto the small roof of the house right behind it. On the small section of the dock below, sits this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 19 and 20 – From Gallery 7, pan the camera to the left and you will see another set of unpainted houses across the black ink. Jump over and climb up the rooftops to collect both of these lightbulbs.

 

Style 11 - From where we just were, there should be a boat in the water below you. Beside that is another section of the dock, another lone crate and another row of houses. This collectible is on the rooftop of them. Just go behind the buildings to the lower roof sections and jump up to the top.

 

Lightbulb 21 - You should now be in the area where you learn about the super charge. Smash all the statues and crates like the objective tells you to and you will find this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 22 - From this area you should be able to see a blue and a red waterfall. There is a mountain path between the two waterfalls. Go all the way through it and you will come out into another blue puddle and waterfall. You should have passed a small statue on the edge of the beach. Destroy it to get this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 23 - Continue through the large blue puddle and you will find yourself back on the other side of the docks. Go up the ramp in front of you and keep working your way up the hill. As you follow the trail you will pass a red geyser on your right. At that point there will be some rooftops ahead of you that you can climb to reach this collectible.

Lightbulb 24 – From this high perch, pan the camera to the top of the hill we’ve been climbing (now below you) and you will see this lightbulb on top of another set of rooftops.

 

Lightbulb 25 - Now return to where we learned how to Super Charge and you should see the next red objective marker up a hill. To the right of the path you will see a yellow geyser and this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 26 – You should now be sitting next to a red geyser. Pan the camera to the right and you will see some smoke stacks. To the right of that is this collectible on the edge of the factory roof.

 

Lightbulb 27 - From lightbulb 26, look down into the inky water and you should see 2 horizontal pipes. There is also a wooden walkway down there. Drop down, smash the crates, follow the walkway around and you will get a message telling you to “Hold on Champ”. You should see this collectible on the rocks right in front of you.

 

Lightbulb 28 - Jump up the next group of rocks and you will come to a blue geyser on top. Go into the clearing and pan the camera to the right and you will see the beginning of the level. Walk to the edge and you should be able to see the red waterfall in the distance on the right edge of the cliff. Go to the bottom of the red waterfall and climb up the ledges in front of you. You will come to a gap with a purple waterfall below. Jump over the gap and you will see this collectible on the ledge to your right.

 

Lightbulb 29 – You should be able to see this from lightbulb 28. Just jump over the next gap to collect it.

 

Style 12 – This is right beside lightbulb 29. You should see it as you jump across the gap. This is the last style collectible for this level.

 

Gallery 8 – After picking up style 12, you should see a wooden walkway in front of you. Follow it around for this collectible.

 

Lightbulbs 30 through 36 - Now head all the way back to the factory area we came from. You can use the two big smoke stacks as reference to head toward and you will want to make your way up the rooftops that lead between them. Complete the objective to paint the factory and use the fifth transformation engine (if you haven’t already). This will now unlock the green challenges. Use your compass to run around and complete them all now.

 

Lightbulb 37 – After completing challenges, your compass will now display the 3 different award objects (assuming you don’t already have the gold medal for them). Let’s hold off on that for a minute and instead make your way to the large Pinky head marker. Do NOT talk to him yet. Instead pan the camera around and you should see a purple waterfall. Directly above the waterfall is this collectible. Jump on over to collect it.

 

Gallery 9 – Continue straight ahead and you should see this collectible above you on the next ledge. It will be below the metal building supports.

 

Lightbulb 38 – From the last Gallery pick-up, pan the camera to the right to spot an orange geyser. The lightbulb is just past the geyser out on the cliff top between two trees.

 

Lightbulb 39 - Continue along the base of the building with the metal supports and you will come to a metal walkway. Drop down and follow it to this lightbulb.

 

Gallery 10 – From lightbulb 39, you should be able to see this directly in front of you. This is the last gallery item for this level.

 

Awards – Now take some time to follow your compass to find the remaining awards. If you have missed some they will be displayed on your compass. The 3 awards are Liberation (little brown guy symbol), Environment (palm tree symbol) and Clean Up (explosion symbol). If you already have a gold medal for one or more of these awards, that symbol will not be shown.

 

Lightbulb 40 – Talk to Pinky and he will open the main door to the building. Progress through the building and after pressing a green switch, you will come to a section that requires you to put orange paint into two holes in the wall. Ride the elevator to the top of that room for the final collectible of this level.

 

Level score before bonuses: 456,417

Level score after bonuses: 711,417 and got “S” Class

Downtown

 

Lightbulbs = 40

Style 1 – From the starting point, look directly ahead of you on top of some buildings in the distance. Hop on over and pick it up.

 

Style 2 – Pan your camera to the left and you will see another one on top of some other buildings.

 

Lightbulb 1 – In mid air, right next to the building style 2 was on, will be this one.

 

Style 3 – When you land on the ground below, pan the camera up and left to see this collectible sitting on a building.

 

Lightbulb 2 – This can be found on top of the very next building beside style 3. Just jump over the water to claim it.

 

Gallery 1 - Head to the first objective marker and go down the hole with :r1: to turn on the paint valves and go back outside. Follow your objective marker and paint buildings along the way. You will come to the first bridge. On the left side of the bridge is a small ramp leading down into the water. Follow it and go under the bridge for this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 3 - While you cross the first bridge, stop in the middle and look up and straight ahead. You should see this collectible on top of the buildings in the distance. Climb up the rooftops and use the sign as a springboard to the lightbulb.

 

Lightbulb 4 - You will land in a courtyard near a statue. Walk out to the street and you should be facing a pool with red, blue and purple paint. While facing this pool, pan the camera to the right and you will see a lone yellow pool. Climb up to the top of the buildings behind the yellow pool and you will see an air car with the lightbulb on top of it. Just jump over to claim it.

 

Gallery 2 – You will fall either in the water or near the water’s edge. There should be a hole you can enter nearby. If you are facing the hole with your back to the water, you will see some ledges on your right. Climb all 3 for this collectible.

 

Gallery 3 – Now go back to the hole and use :r1: to drop inside. Zigzag down through the platforms while collecting color atoms. At the bottom you will find this collectible by some crates.

 

Lightbulb 5 – Now use the piston to jump back up one level and head left. You will come to another piston so use it to launch into the air, grab the lightbulb and exit the hole.

 

Lightbulb 6 – You should now be on a road that runs along the side of the beach. Follow this road to the end for another easy collectible.

 

Lightbulb 7 - Go back to the “T” intersection we just passed in the road and head into the center of town. As you round the first building corner, you should see a red pool on your left. Look at that pool and pan the camera 90 degrees to the right. Head straight down the road and you will run into a brown pool. Climb to the top of the buildings directly behind the pool, work your way to the left and around the big skyscraper, by moving along the rooftops. As you round the corner, you should see this collectible on the next series of rooftops. Jump over the gap to grab it.

 

Lightbulb 8 – From this high perch, you should be looking down at a red and brown pipe. Pan the camera to the right and you should see a lightbulb in mid air. Paint the remaining buildings for the current objective (if you haven’t already) and the first transformation engine should appear. Use it to raise some platforms and you will get a tutorial about the wall run. Use the wall run to reach this collectible.

 

Style 4 - You will now be introduced to Paintbots. After smashing the first one, climb the two rooftops directly in front of you and you will see a lightbulb by a sign on the back wall. You can’t reach it from here so instead, pan the camera to the left and you will see a style collectible on the next series of rooftops. Leap up them to reach it.

 

Lightbulb 9 – There will be an air car right next to you and you will see this lightbulb in mid air. Just move across the top of the car and jump to reach the collectible. If you miss the jump, just climb back up and wait for the air car to return. You can then hold :l1: to lock onto it and leap to it with :cross:. Then you can just ride the car to the collectible.

 

Lightbulb 10 – You can now either ride the car around or climb back up to where we first got on the car. Your destination is the rooftops just to the left of the lightbulb we saw when we picked up style 4. Move along the rooftops and then use the wall run to reach the collectible before hitting the sign.

 

Lightbulb 11 – Go back to where we first entered the area and this time head to the left. Assuming you didn’t already activate it, there will be a red objective marker sitting on a rooftop. You will get a message about using the wall run to restore color to the buildings on the other side to the water. You should see the lightbulb on the back wall ahead of you. Simply jump toward the back wall, press :cross: to stick to it and then roll to the collectible.

 

Lightbulb 12 – Follow the compass to the next objective marker and you should see this collectible sitting in the middle of a fountain. Go through the color mixing tutorial and then grab it.

 

Lightbulb 13 - After painting the buildings, your compass will direct you up a ramp. Before going up though, you should see a hole in the ground that you can enter. Go inside to find out it is part of the subway system. Follow the path through it and you will come to a room with 2 elevators and an orange button. Take the elevator on the right down and you will be in an area with 6 breakable crates. Smash them all open to reveal some Paintbots. Smash them all to absorb the paint. Now UNDER the elevator on the bottom right of this area you should see a grayed out wall. Hold down http://www.xbox360achievements.org/images/misc/lt.png to target it and you will see that it is breakable by pressing :r1:. If you don’t have enough paint to break the wall, just wait for the Paintbots to respawn and you can get some more paint. Once through the wall, you will find this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 14 – Ride the elevator back up and this time take the elevator on the left up. Jump over to the right and smash the 2 crates you find for this collectible.

 

Style 5 - While still on the top right platform, you will notice this wall is breakable too. Fill up with the required amount of paint and knock it down for the fifth style bonus.

 

Lightbulb 15 – Press the orange button and move down the ramp. You will see this item on the top right platform behind a crate.

 

Gallery 4 – Now drop down and you should see a hole in the floor right in front of the brown switch. Drop down on top of the shipping containers below and head through the pipe on the right for this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 16 - Now that you are back above ground, pan the camera around and follow the left road back down to the previous section. You will see another hole in the ground has opened up and that you can enter it with :r1:. Go down to find some moving pistons. Ride the middle one to the top to find this bulb.

 

Style 6 – Now intentionally fall in the water under the middle piston and let it push you under to reach this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 17 - Now intentionally fall in the water under the right piston and let it push you under to reach this collectible.

 

Gallery 5 – After coming out of the second subway hole, we can finally continue up the ramp behind the fountain and you will see some buildings you can climb on your left. Climb to the top and pan your camera around to see this item sitting right there.

 

Lightbulb 18 - Right after grabbing the last collectible, you should see this lightbulb sitting in mid air on the tip of a sign. Jump up and wall run on the adjacent building then leap in the direction of the lightbulb to grab it. If you just can't make this jump technique work, come back to this later after activating the air car in this section and just ride the car to it.

 

Lightbulb 19 and 20 – Sitting at the top of the ramp, pan your camera around and look up above the building with the next red objective marker. On the back wall you should see 2 lightbulbs. Climb to the top of the second story building. Now jump and stick to the back wall to use your wall run to reach both of these.

 

Gallery 6 – Go back to the top of the building we just jumped off of and pan the camera around to find the buildings with the red and blue pipes coming out of them. Climb to the top of the building with the blue pipe coming out of it and pan the camera around to see this collectible sitting in the corner of a lower rooftop.

 

Style 7 – From the top of the building with the blue pipe, pan the camera around to find the grayed out building across the way in the only corner we haven’t been too yet. You should be able to see this collectible sitting on the left side of the second level. Go ahead and drop down to the road and run over to pick it up.

Style 8 - Continue on with the objectives and defeat the Blancs to be prompted to enter a manhole. Grab some yellow paint and break through the weak portion of the floor. You will land on an elevator. There will be a couple of enemies and another hole that leads down. Jump over this hole and you will be looking at another breakable wall. Knock it down to grab this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 21 - Once outside, your next main objective is to enter the cinema. There is nothing inside so transform it and move through the newly opened gate. As you make your way down the road you should see this up on a rock ledge on the right. Jump up and grab it.

 

Lightbulb 22 - Follow the trail of color atoms across the water and you will come to a small shipping yard. Immediately to your left is a stack of containers against the left wall. Jump on top of the lower stack and then use them to leap to the higher stack and this collectible.

 

Style 9 – Cross the shipping yard and grab the yellow paint. Use that to destroy the Leechbots and the crates on the ground floor. Now up on the next building you will see this collectible. Use the slanted road to the left to be able to jump up to the rooftop and grab it.

 

Lightbulb 23 – Continue up the slanted road and jump to the very next rooftop on the right. Go to the edge and pan the camera to see this item floating in mid air. Use the wall run to reach it and then fall off and land in the water.

 

Lightbulb 24 – Continue onward up the slanted road and you should see this item above the trapped wall on the right buildings. At the top there will be a small single story triangular building. Hop on top of it and then jump and use wall run to head toward the collectible. You will need to stop in the middle of the building before reaching the sign and then press :cross: to leap off the wall to reach it.

 

Lightbulb 25 - Use the Paintbots to fill up and defeat the Blancs and their spawn tubes. Once they are all gone, return to the top of the slanted road that came from the small shipping yard below. Now from the top of the ramp, pan the camera to the left and you should see some buildings with a trapped wall on the lower portion of the middle buildings. Head down the road and look at the trapped section of the wall. On each side where the trapped wall ends, you will notice that there is a single story rooftop. Jump on top of the one on the right and move to the edge. If you pan the camera down and to the left, you will notice the small shipping yard below. If you keep panning the camera to the left you will notice a lightbulb floating in mid air along this back wall. You need to jump out toward it, curve in mid air, attach to the wall and run to it. If you end up above it you can press :r1: to drop down and collect it.

 

Gallery 7 - Head back to the same rooftop we were just on and pan the camera around to see this collectible sitting on top of the second floor of the adjacent building.

 

Lightbulb 26 – Drop down from the rooftop we were just on and you should see a lone crate in front of you. Smash it open to claim your prize.

 

Style 10 - Head up the next ramp to enter the next area. Turn left and jump on the small triangular rooftop right beside you. From there jump to the next square rooftop and you should be able to pan the camera and see the area we just came from, below. You should also see this collectible on another triangular roof behind a portion of the skyscraper tower.

 

Lightbulb 27 - Head back to the top of the second ramp and clean out the enemies and smash the crates. In the back corner you should see another hole you can enter with :r1:. Go through it and press all the colored buttons. Come back out and play through the objectives to learn about the rainbow power up. Climb up to it and you will notice this collectible straight ahead and slightly to the right. Climb down, cross the street and then back up to the second floor to reach it.

 

Style 11 - While still standing on the small triangular rooftop that we just picked up lightblub 27 from, move along the tall side wall and jump up a couple more rooftops. At the end you will find this collectible straight ahead.

 

Gallery 8 – You should be able to see this item on the rooftop up ahead. Do another curved air jump to attach to the wall and roll over to it.

 

Lightbulb 28 – While still standing on the same rooftop we got the last collectible on, pan the camera to look away from the building walls into the city. You should see this lightbulb in mid air right in front of you and slightly to the left. Do a big jump straight to it.

 

Lightblub 29 - Now complete the objectives all the way to getting inside the opera house. Once inside, head to the right and drop down to a room with a purple pool. Fill up with paint, kill the enemies and enter the next room. Grab some blue paint and use the piston to jump up into the tube above. Hit the green switch and head back through the other tube. Continue to the right. Drop down the levels to the bottom, defeat the enemies and ride in another tube to the left. Smash more crates and press the green button to continue. Drop down a hole and you will enter a room with a bunch of gears. Make your way over to the power-up on the bottom right of this screen and you will notice a breakable wall there. Use the power-up and smash through to collect this item BEFORE breaking the gears and using the transformation engine.

 

Lightbulb 30 – After you come out of the opera house DO NOT talk to Pinky yet. Instead, look behind the opera house to see an air car. Hop on it and you will ride in a small circle, on the way back toward the opera house, you should see this item on the beach below. Jump down to grab it.

 

Style 12 - Follow this lower beach and you will come to a cave in the Cliffside. Enter it and defeat the enemies in the immediate area. To your right you should see a hole that leads into some water. Jump in the water and head UNDER the platforms and go all the way to the right. When you break the surface again, you will have this collectible. This is the final style bonus for this level.

 

Lightbulb 31 - Now head all the way to the left, use the piston and head to the left again into a green pool of paint. Jump the gap and use the angled pistons to reach the top and collect the color atoms. Jump on the last piston and you will be back out in front of the cave. Now that you are green, re-enter the cave and head to the green button on the right. Press it to activate the piston on the right, use that to jump up and to the right to grab this item.

 

Gallery 9 - From the upper platform we were just on, head all the way across and to the left of the remaining upper platforms to find this item on top of the last one. This is the last gallery picture for this level.

 

Lightbulbs 32 through 40 - Now go ahead and complete all the green challenges. Use your compass to run around and find them all now.

 

Awards – Now take some time to follow your compass to find the remaining awards. If you have missed some they will be displayed on your compass. The 3 awards are Liberation (little brown guy symbol), Environment (palm tree symbol) and Clean Up (explosion symbol). If you already have a gold medal for one or more of these awards, that symbol will not be shown.

 

You should be clear to talk to Pinky and exit the level.

Blanctown

 

Lightbulbs = 50

“S” Class score = 950,000

 

Style 1 – To begin, don’t bother grabbing the objective mark just yet. This will allow you to grab this first batch of collectibles unseen. Take note of this starting point because we will be coming back to it. From the starting point, pan your camera to the left and you will see this first item on top of the buildings.

 

Lightbulb 1 – While standing on the rooftop after grabbing style 1, pan you camera 180 degrees and you will be looking at this bulb on top of the set of buildings across the street.

 

Lightbulb 2 – On the rooftop you’re standing on now is a sign. If you look past the sign and out into the distance you will see 2 small islands in the fog. Head toward them and as you get closer you will see this lightbulb come into view on another island further back in the fog.

 

Style 2 – From this island turn 180 again and you should be looking back into the middle of town. There should be an arched bridge in front of you. Cross it and look up to see a lightbulb on the top of a high rooftop. Just past that, the style collectible we are going for should come into view. Return to the starting point rooftop (across the street from the red objective marker if you left it alone) and jump up to the highest point on that series of roofs. Now jump across the street to the lowest roof of the series of buildings that the style collectible is on. Continue to the top to claim the item.

 

Lightbulb 3 – This is the lightbulb that we saw on the way to style 2. It should be right in front of you so just jump over to the next set of rooftops to collect it.

 

Lightbulb 4 – From this high perch that we just landed on, pan the camera back to the building we just jumped off. You should be able to faintly see this lightbulb down and to the left of the last building. It is on an island off in the fog. Drop down to grab it.

 

Gallery 1 – look back into the city and you should see a small boat to you immediate left and an arched bridge in front of you. Hop in the stream and go under that bridge. Follow the stream and you will come to another bridge. The item is sitting in the water under the bridge.

 

Lightbulb 5 - Hop out of the water and head to the objective marker. This will open a hole so use :r1: to enter it. You will now use paint to break through 3 walls. Immediately after the third wall there will be a breakable portion of the floor. Target the floor with :l1: and use :r1: to break inside. You will find this bulb below.

 

Style 3 - Grab some yellow paint to hit the button at the end and then use the piston to get back outside. Follow your objective marker to the next yellow switch and turn on some of the other colored pools. Feel free to paint some buildings on your way over to get some valuable time extensions. Press the button, fill up on more paint and go to the next objective marker. It should be right on top of the roof next to you. Activate it and head over the bridge in front of you. Once on the other side make a left through the grass and you will see a forklift and 3 crates. Target the forklift with :l1: and press :r1: to smash them all at once and collect your reward.

 

Gallery 2 – You should be in a 4-way intersection. Turn left and head toward the water to see a small pier with two crates on it. Smash them for the item.

 

Lightbulb 6 - Now follow your objective marker to your next destination, another hole. BEFORE going in though, look behind it and you will see another pier with a lone crate sitting on top of it. Smash that crate for this item.

 

Lightbulb 7 - Enter the hole with :r1: and drop down the right side first. Break through the wall on your left, press the button and use the piston to launch back up. Now drop down the left side and break through another wall to find this item.

 

Style 4 - Continue through the underground pressing the buttons and breaking walls until you find the secret meeting place of the citizens and the exit. Head back outside and activate the next objective to paint some buildings. Before doing that though, head straight down the street toward the purple pool. You will see a single crate sitting by a building corner on the left. Smash it for this item.

 

Gallery 3 - Across the water you will see another lone crate sitting on an island. Carefully leap, target it in mid air and smash it for the item. If you land in the water don’t forget about the purple paint pool that is right there. You can just refill and try again.

 

Lightbulb 8 - Find the green paint pool and enter the library. There is nothing to find here so just complete the objective and transform the library. Follow your objective marker to the town hall next. Again, nothing to find in this building either, so work your way through it and free the citizens. Transform the building to move on. On the next objective you will get a tutorial about TVs. As you make your way to the TVs, you will pass the purple pool again. There is a single story roof beside the pool so jump on top and climb to the highest rooftop of these buildings which is in the back corner along the mountainside. You should see a single crate which contains this item.

 

Lightbulb 9 – Destroy all four TVs and a transformation engine will appear on top of an arched bridge. Use the engine and then drop in the water and go under the bridge you were just on for this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 10 – You should have seen this in the cut-scene. Head through the newly opened gate and up toward the red symbol. You will see this bulb in the back right corner.

 

Lightbulb 11 – Move toward the next objective marker but before activating it, pan the camera to the right and you will see this item in the water right behind the black gate.

 

Gallery 4 – You should have also seen this on the other side of the water so grab it too.

 

Lightbulb 12 – Now that you are on the other side of the water you should be on a walkway that leads to some buildings. Follow it, climb the buildings and snag another bulb. This one is hidden behind the sign on top of the building if you approach from the other direction, something we won’t have to worry about.

 

Style 5 – From this high rooftop, pan the camera around and you should be able to see this style collectible on the next set of buildings. Drop down, climb up the other building and add it to your collection.

 

Lightbulb 13 - Activate the objective marker and learn about Z-jumps. Go ahead and try it out and activate the next marker to open up a hole. Enter the hole and make your way to the second blue button. Pressing it opens up the gate on your right but it also opens up the wall behind you on the left. Go to the left to receive your next bulb.

 

Lightbulb 14 - Continue on and you will use a piston to launch up to a small group of enemies on a ledge to your right. Kill them and then go left to find yet another breakable wall hiding this item. You can use the angled launcher to shoot past all the enemies and grab the item with flair.

 

Lightbulb 15 - Press the final blue button to release the Paintbots and exit the underground. Follow the objective marker and press the next blue button then return to the hole we just came out of (don’t go down it though). Pan the camera around and you will see a yellow Paintbot on top of a single story building. To get to it you would need to cross a bridge. Drop in the water and go under the bridge for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 16 - Use the yellow Paintbot to get some color back and look up the slanted road to see a red Paintbot. Use that red Paintbot to hit the red button and unlock the next objective and a couple of color pools. Go back to the roof with the red Paintbot and start climbing up the next one to see this bulb straight ahead behind the skyscraper. INSTEAD of going there just yet, hop up on the next rooftop on your left and you should see another bulb in the front of the building. Grab that one first.

 

Lightbulb 17 – Make your way back to the one we just skipped.

 

Style 6 - On the rooftop below, you should see a Z-pad. Use it to reach the top of the adjacent skyscraper and this next collectible.

 

Lightbulb 18 – From this rooftop that we just landed on you should be able to pan the camera to look for your blimp. To the right of that and a little bit down you should see this bulb sitting on a rooftop 2 buildings away. Make your way over to it and pick it up.

 

Style 7 – From this rooftop, pan around and you will see a blue Paintbot on a lower roof of the building we passed to get here. There is also a yellow Paintbot on the building you are standing on. Go down the slanted road between these two Paintbots and turn left to see a single crate in the back corner. Smash it to claim your prize.

Lightbulb 19 - Turn 180 degrees and you should see 3 crates on the right side of the road. Smash them for this item.

 

Lightbulb 20 – Continue down the road and you should see a boat in the canal to your left with two crates on it. Break them open and grab this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 21 – While standing on the boat, you should be able to pan the camera around and locate two bridges. Hop in the water and swim under the one on the right. Follow the canal straight ahead to another bridge with the lightbulb underneath it.

 

Gallery 5 - Make your way back to the objective marker and activate it to open the church. Use the Haz-mat item to help cross the ink and defeat the enemies to go inside. There is nothing in it so just make your way through the building and defeat the last wave of enemies to unlock the transformation engine. Use it and head outside. Now make your way to the back of the church building however you like and you will see this item sitting there. Sneaky. From the water you can jump on to the small grass ledge and then up to the second grass ledge to reach it.

 

Style 8 - Run to the next objective and defeat all the enemies that pop out. This should make the next transformation icon appear. Make your way to it and you will come back to the boat with a Z-pad on it that we passed earlier. Use this boat to launch up to a higher walkway and this item.

 

Lightbulb 22 - While on this upper bridge pan the camera 180 degrees and you should see a hole in the ground. Drop inside and use the power-up to cross the conveyor belt. Continue on and you will be prompted to smash some crates and save some workers. Drop down to the bottom of this area and head to the left to see a hole in the floor that leads into the water. Jump in and head underwater to the right for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 23 – Finish up underground and come back out of the hole. While standing on the hole you should see a lone skyscraper tower right beside you. There is a clothesline running from it to the adjacent building. Look up on top of this building for the next bulb. Just go down the road a short distance and you will come to a single story roof that you can jump to. Follow the rooftops back to the bulb.

 

Gallery 6 - Drop back down to the level with the last hole we were just in. Walk over to the edge under the clothesline and you will see the ramp that we used when we initially entered this area. Now that we have restored the color pools, we can smash some more crates. Drop down to the big ramp below and walk up the road into this portion of town and take the first bridge on the right. Cross the next immediate bridge and you will be facing a red pool. Turn right to see a small pier with a lone crate on it. Smash it for the item.

 

Lightbulbs 24 and 25 – Make your way back to the red pool and you should see 3 more crates sitting on another small pier in front of you. Smash them for the items. We’re halfway there.

 

Lightbulb 26 - While sitting on this pier, look across the river and down the street between the buildings. You should see some more crates. Jump over and smash these as well.

 

Lightbulb 27 - Make your way back to the transformation engine and use it to open the gate to the next area. Go to the objective marker and it will open another hole. Go inside and make your way through the area to release the Paintbots. Once back outside, make your way to the yellow button and you will see this lightbulb behind it.

 

Lightbulb 28 - With the color pools activated, make your way to the blue pool. A little ways past that, you should see 2 crates and a small black road barricade. Target the barricade with :l1: and use :r1: to smash it and get the bulb.

 

Lightbulb 29 - The barricade was right in front of a bridge. Cross it and climb the ledge on the left. There will be a blue Paintbot up here too. There is another ledge with 3 trees on it and a scenic overlook of the lower part of the level. Drop down one level and look below you to the left to find this bulb tucked in by the edge of the cliff.

 

Gallery 7 – Now make your way back up the ledges to the overlook and you will run into this collectible.

 

Style 9 - Head back into town by following the objective arrow. It will lead you over a bridge that has a Z-pad on it. Ignore the pad for now and turn left on the other side of the bridge to destroy another black barricade for this item.

 

Lightbulb 30 – Pan the camera around and you will see that you are beside a courtyard with a statue in it. There are also 3 crates with spikes on top of them. Target one and dash through them all for the bulb.

 

Lightbulb 31 - At this point continue on with the main objectives and paint the buildings whatever color you need too. You will eventually be told that you are ready to move on but need to find a way past the white tiles. We are going to use the Z-pad on the middle of the bridge to bounce up there but we are going to make a detour first. Use the Z-pad and jump to the second pad. Instead of jumping off this one, press :r1: to drop down onto a high walkway. Walk across to the other side and you should see this lightbulb on top of the roof that you could not reach from below.

 

Style 10 – Drop back down to the Z-pad and use it to reach the walkway again. This time look on the opposite rooftops and jump down to them to reach this last style collectible.

 

Lightbulb 32 – Drop down again, roll up the hill with the white tiles and leap up to reach this bulb sitting in mid air over the inky water.

 

Lightbulb 33 - Go back down the ramp, fill up with red paint and use the Z-pad all the way this time. Defeat the 3 enemies out front and enter the compound. Roll to the right and you will notice a breakable floor. Grab some paint and return to this spot and break through to find this bulb below.

 

Gallery 8 - Complete the remaining task inside and transform the building to return outside. DO NOT talk to Pinky yet. Instead stand in the pink circle and face the compound. Pan to the right a little bit to see a waterfall. Walk over to it and look in the water below for this item.

 

Gallery 9 - Stand in the pink circle again and face the compound. Turn 180 degrees and walk to the water that is between the two bridges. Jump in to get the final gallery picture for this level.

 

Lightbulbs 34 through 50 - Now go ahead and complete all the green challenges. Use your compass to run around and find them all now.

 

Awards – Now take some time to follow your compass to find the remaining awards. If you have missed some they will be displayed on your compass. The 3 awards are Liberation (little brown guy symbol), Environment (palm tree symbol) and Clean Up (explosion symbol). If you already have a gold medal for one or more of these awards, that symbol will not be shown.

 

You should be clear to talk to Pinky and exit the level.

The Senate

Lightbulb 1 – At the beginning of the level you need to head left and get some red paint and then head back to the right to press the red button. As you continue to the right, you will grab some blue paint and enter a room with a lightbulb above you and out of reach. Forget it for now and press the blue button to lower the water level. Drop straight down and you will land in some water. If you look to the left you will see this bulb underwater.

 

Lightbulb 2 – Head to the right to get some yellow paint. You will notice that the right wall is breakable. Smash through for the prize.

 

Lightbulb 3 – Head back to the left and press the yellow button to raise the water level all the way up. You will now be able to reach the first bulb we saw.

 

Style 1 - Once outside, Head toward the first objective marker and just past it you will see this item sitting on a single story rooftop.

 

Style 2 - Go ahead and activate the first objective and paint whatever buildings you need to. Now that we have some color to work with, return to the fountain that we started at. We will work our way around the fountain smashing crates. Face the fountain so that you see a statue in the distance. Pan the camera to the left and you will see a small pier on the water’s edge that has 3 crates on it. Smash them for the item.

 

Lightbulb 4 - Continue clockwise around the fountain and the next pier you come to will have a single crate with this bulb inside.

 

Lightbulb 5 – Continue clockwise around the fountain and the next pier will have 2 crates on it. Smash them and move to the end of the pier. Pan the camera to look at the fountain and the continue panning to the left. You will see a slanted roadway leading into the next section. Below the roadway and in the water you should be able to see this bulb. Swim over to grab it.

 

Style 3 - Return to the front of the fountain and activate the next objective if you haven’t already. Continue to paint all the remaining buildings. The third objective marker will appear up on top of a second story building. Go to it and you will see the collectible on the building right behind the objective marker. Activate the marker and then jump over to collect the item

 

Lightbulb 6 – While still on the rooftop you should see another higher rooftop on your right. Jump to it and the bulb will be up on the next roof of the same building. Grab it and then drop down to go free the people.

 

Lightbulbs 7 and 8 - After defeating all the enemies you should be in an open area with a fountain that is not running. Activate the next objective marker and you will be told to save some factory workers. BEFORE doing that, you should see a yellow Paintbot close to you on these same rooftops. Climb to the highest rooftop of this group of buildings and you will come to a catwalk of sorts. At the intersection of the catwalk is a blue Paintbot. Walk out to the “T” and you should be able to see these 2 bulbs one after the other.

 

Gallery 1 - At the intersection where we picked up lightbulb 8, turn right and follow the catwalk to the end for this gallery object.

 

Lightbulb 9 – Turn around and follow the catwalk all the way to the other end for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 10 - Drop down and free the people on the boats and make your way over to the large group of captives on the land. Defeat the enemies and go inside the building. There is nothing to find in here so just transform the building and go back outside. With the ink gone, you can now go around behind this building for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 11 - Head to the next objective and use the rainbow power-up to paint the required buildings. Do the next objective to unlock the Z-pad. Use it to reach the top of the building. You will see a yellow Paintbot to the left of where you land. Jump to it and pan the camera to see behind the building and you will notice this blub floating there in mid air. Drop down to it.

 

Lightbulb 12 – You will land between a group of crates. Smash them all for your reward.

 

Gallery 2 - While back here behind the building, you will notice 6 large black towers. Jump to the small island the second tower is built on (should be almost right in front of you). Once there you will notice two crates. Smash them and continue on hopping from island to island until you reach the fifth tower which also has two crates on it. Break them open for the prize.

 

Gallery 3 - Get some more yellow paint, return to the Z-pad and head inside the main building. There is nothing inside so just defeat all the enemies and transform the building. As soon as you come outside, pan the camera to look behind you and this will be inside the small balcony with columns.

 

Style 4 – Directly on the roof above this balcony you will notice that this item has appeared. Hop on up to claim it.

 

Lightbulb 13 - Drop all the way back down to the front of the building and look inside the front porch to notice this collectible behind the columns.

 

Lightbulb 14 - Head to the transformation engine and you will open a gate and release some tanks. Follow the directions to destroy them and move on through the gates. Turn right and look behind the gate column to find this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 15 - Roll into the fountain to get the armor pick-up and you should notice this bulb sitting on the third floor roof of a building on your right. Carefully hop up while avoiding the trapped wall to collect it.

 

Style 5 - Move and activate the next objective which will be something about taking out air support. This will also unlock some Z-pads. Ignore them for a minute and you should be able to pan the camera around to see a side road leading up to a red Paintbot with this Style bonus behind it. Head on over and climb the 2 rooftops to get it.

 

Gallery 4 - Turn around and face the red Paintbot we just passed. To the right of that, in the center of the road is a clear water tank. The tall buildings form a circle around this glass tank. Directly behind this glass tank is another single story rooftop and there is a yellow Paintbot roaming around on it. Climb over to it and continue to make your way to the top of this circle of buildings one roof at a time. At the top is a blue Paintbot and just a jump away is this next item.

 

Style 6 - You should now be looking at another series of catwalks. Make your way to the first yellow Paintbot and turn right. You will see this collectible on the next platform.

 

Lightbulb 16 - Continue this direction along the catwalks and you will come to a red Paintbot. Turn to the right and head to the dead end of the catwalk for this collectible.

 

Style 7 - Return back the direction you came and continue along the catwalk. You will come to a platform with a helicopter, a couple of enemies and 2 crates. Smash everything and continue on to the next platform. Once again destroy everything and go to the third platform. There will be a helicopter right in front and behind it lies this collectible. Smash all the objects in your way to complete the current objective and claim your prize.

 

Gallery 5 - Continue along the catwalk in the same direction we have been going and you will come to a blue Paintbot. Turn to go down to the end of this dead end for yet another collectible.

 

Lightbulb 17 - Return back the way we came and you will end up back at the yellow Paintbot we first started this catwalk loop with. Look down right below you and you will see this item floating in mid air right on top of a statue. Drop down to pick it up.

 

Lightbulb 18 - While standing at this statue, pan the camera around until you are looking up a dual set of stairs. Head toward the bottom of the stairs and there will be another side street going uphill on your right. There will also be a single story rooftop at the intersection of the stairs and this side street. Climb on top of this rooftop and onto the next. You will be overlooking another glass tank in the center of a circle. Directly to the left of you is a tall angular building and across from that is a slightly higher rooftop than the one you are currently standing on. Use your wall run on the angular building to reach the other rooftop. From there, continue to the top of the circle of buildings until you reach this collectible on the highest tower.

 

Lightbulb 19 - From this high perch, orient yourself so that you can see the dual set of stairs below. Now pan to the right and you will see a waterfall. Drop all the way down to the surface of the water and head toward it to find the bulb underneath it.

Lightbulb 20 – From under the waterfall you should see a lone tree on a small island surrounded by ink. There is also a crate on that island. Carefully jump over to break it open for your reward.

 

Style 8 – Head back into town toward the object marker and you will come to a circular fountain pool. You should be able to see this collectible sitting on the second floor to the buildings behind the fountain.

 

Lightbulb 21 - Continuing on to the objective marker, activate it, grab some red paint and enter the building. There is nothing to collect inside so just finish the transformation and go back outside. Head to the next objective and complete it by painting all the towers the correct color. You will find this bulb at the top of the yellow tower.

 

Gallery 6 - While painting the orange tower you probably saw this collectible on the ledge below. If you climb to the top of the orange tower and leap off toward the item you can reach it. If you miss the jump you can always go around the other side of the island and make your way up one ledge at a time.

 

Lightbulb 22 – While painting the orange tower you probably also saw this collectible on the water’s surface. Just drop down from the ledge we are on to the beach below to pick it up.

 

Lightbulb 23 - Continue painting the red, purple and brown towers to open the bridges to the enemy compound and make your way inside. As you work your way through the compound you will eventually come to some Z-pads. At the top DO NOT go right to the piston jump just yet. Instead drop down to the left and defeat the enemy there. Now break through the left wall to collect this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 24 - Continue on through the building and transform it to get back outside. Head to the next objective marker and activate it to enter the bank. There is nothing inside so just transform it and return outside. Use the next transformation engine outside too. You will be introduced to the Mortars and will need to avoid there fire. As you move along you will come to a Haz-mat power-up surrounded by ink. Jump to it and target it in mid air to reach it with ease. Now you can safety cross the ink to pick up this bulb out of the water on the right.

 

Style 9 – As you enter the gate, turn right and this item will be sitting there behind the gate column.

 

Lightbulb 25 – You should also see 2 crates sitting on a pier right there. Break them for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 26 – Follow this wooden dock all the way to the other end and drop in the water to pick up this item.

 

Lightbulb 27 – Hop out of the water and you should see this bulb sitting right in the open on a single story building.

 

Lightbulb 28 - Follow the objective arrow to the next location and complete the objective after that to turn on the yellow fountain. Paint the statue and return to the yellow fountain and then move onto the next objective marker. Save the citizens and defeat the enemies. You will be standing in the middle of a street. There is a triangle of water on one side and a stone wall across some more water. Head toward the stone wall and fall in the water to collect this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 29 - Now follow the compass to the next transformation engine and use it to raise the skyscrapers. Now go to the next objective marker to activate the Z-pads. Destroy the mortars to move on. BEFORE doing so though, face the camera toward the red objective marker and then pan the camera to the right. You should see this bulb on top of the nearby skyscraper. You will need a perfectly timed jump to reach the lower portion of the skyscraper. From there you can hop up to the collectible.

 

Lightbulb 30 - While sitting on top of this skyscraper you should be looking at another skyscraper with a sign on it. If you pan the camera down and to the left you should be able to catch a glimpse of this bulb (note the white light that glows from the top of the icon) on a lower rooftop. The only way to get to it is by making careful jumps from skyscraper to skyscraper and then dropping down on it from above. Plan your approach and go get it.

 

Lightbulb 31 - Drop down to the lower level and use the Z-pad to get back to the top. From the landing location, face the red objective marker again but this time pan the camera 180 degrees and you will be looking at a portion of the bridge that has flame traps on it. Pan to the right and look to the top of the highest skyscraper for your next bulb. Carefully jump over to pick it up.

 

Gallery 7 - Now either jump back to the overpass or drop down and use the Z-pads to get back up. Activate the next objective marker which will activate a Haz-mat power-up on top of another skyscraper. Climb to it but instead of continuing onward, look down below to see this collectible on a lower rooftop. Drop down to collect it.

 

Lightbulb 32 - Now drop all the way down and use the Z-pads to get back up. Return to the Haz-mat power-up, grab it and head inside the building. There is nothing to find here so just kill everything and transform the building. Back outside you will see that the flame traps are gone. We will now be able to reach the items (you should be able to see them easily) on the last set of skyscrapers. Jump to the lowest rooftop first and slowly start making your way around to the first bulb.

 

Style 10 – This is on the very next rooftop and is the last style bonus on this level.

 

Lightbulb 33 – This is over on the next skyscraper at the highest point.

 

Gallery 8 - Jump back to the overpass (or drop down and use the Z-pads to get back up) and head to the next objective. Before entering the Senate, make a clockwise loop around the exterior to pick up some collectibles. When you get to the yellow Paintbot, head down that waterway to find this item at the end.

 

Lightbulb 34 - Continue clockwise to the opposite side of the Senate and you will come to a red Paintbot and this bulb which is easily seen just sitting in the waterway.

 

Gallery 9 – Continue all the all down to the end of this waterway to find this lonely collectible.

 

Lightbulbs 35 through 50 - Now go ahead and enter the Senate. There is nothing to find inside so just transform it and head back outside. At this point, go ahead and complete all the green challenges. Use your compass to run around and find them all now.

 

Awards – Now take some time to follow your compass to find the remaining awards. If you have missed some they will be displayed on your compass. The 3 awards are Liberation (little brown guy symbol), Environment (palm tree symbol) and Clean Up (explosion symbol). Lightbulb 1 - From the beginning head right along the rooftops and at the end you should come to a couple of crates. A little bit more to the right, is a single crate on the water’s edge. Smash it for this first bulb.

 

Gallery 1 - Follow the objective marker and paint the statue. Defeat the enemies and activate the next marker. Paint the building the required colors and activate the next objective found in the middle of the upper bridge between the two taller buildings. Jump over to the Z-pad and use it to reach the rooftop of the tallest building. Then drop down to collect this item.

 

Lightbulb 2 - Return to the middle of the bridge face the Z-pad and pan the camera to the left. You should see a lightbulb directly across a bridge on the other side of the water. Drop down 2 rooftops, jump over to the bridge and grab the bulb.

 

Style 1 – Turn to the right and drop down a couple more rooftops to claim this item.

 

Lightbulb 3 - Activate the transformation engine to move on (if you don’t already have it sitting there complete objectives until it is). Complete objectives to enter the first building. At the bottom you will find this in a jail with some citizens. Defeat all the enemies to open it.

 

Lightbulb 4 - Continue on to transform the building and return outside. As you head toward the next red objective marker, activate it and you should see this bulb sitting in the back corner in the distance behind the library. Just roll over and get it.

 

Lightbulb 5 - Enter the library and transform it to continue on. Next stop is the barracks. Before going in through go behind it to find 2 crates. Smash them and continue behind the barracks for 2 more crates. Break them open for this reward.

 

Gallery 2 - You should now be looking right at this collectible. It is on a single story roof in the back corner. Walk over to get it.

 

Lightbulb 6 and Style 2 - On the very next single story rooftop you should see a hole in the ground. Go inside and head to the left. Drop into the orange water to grab this bulb and this style bonus.

 

Lightbulb 7 - Continue to the left to find this bulb on top of the purple button.

 

Lightbulb 8 – Now drop in the purple water to collect another easy bulb.

 

Lightbulb 9 - Press the purple button and return back to the right and use the piston to jump back out the way you came in. Once outside there should be 3 crates right in front of you. Break them open for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 10 - Enter the barracks and transform it to move on. Complete the next objective to paint the Dean’s house and use the transformation engine that appears. This will unlock the Z-pad behind the Dean’s house. Head on over and use it now to reach the Dean’s roof and this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 11 – While on the Dean’s roof, you should see this in the courtyard above the statue. Make a big jump and you will reach it. If you miss, use the Z-pads to bounce back up to the top and try again.

 

Style 3 - The last transformation engine also raised some buildings and extended some bridges. You should have seen this item during the cut-scene and it can now be reached by climbing the new buildings.

 

Lightbulb 12 - From this rooftop you should be able to see this lightbulb sitting on a small grey ledge just over the water. Cross the closest bridge and jump to this little ledge to claim the bulb.

 

Gallery 3 – Continue jumping along these small ledges and you will also collect this item.

 

Lightbulb 13 - Now drop into the water and follow it back the way we just came (while crossing the little ledges) until it reaches a dead end. The bulb is there in the water.

 

Style 4 - Now head toward the next objective marker. BEFORE activating it you should notice a group of 3 crates. Break them for this item.

 

Lightbulbs 14 and 15 – Activate the objective and use the pistons to bounce around. You will run through these two in mid air automatically.

 

TROPHY NOTE: This is a good spot to try and get the secret trophy, “Piston Partisan”. If interested, take a short break and refer to the trophy guide for specifics. You can always come back and try later if you have trouble.

 

Gallery 4 – BEFORE moving on, drop down and take another lap on the piston jumps. As you bounce off the last one you can guide your blob to land on the nearby rooftop to reach this item.

 

Lightbulb 16 - Moving on, run around and defeat the Elites and then paint the required buildings. Activate the next objective and you should see another piston jump on the roof nearby. Use it to reach a hole in the ground. Break through the floor and then work your way all the way to the bottom. Once there you will find a brown pool on your left and a piston jump on your right. Use the piston jump to bounce up and you should see this bulb sitting there on the right (you may need to hit the red button before you can grab it).

 

Style 5 – This is right beside lightbulb 16.

 

Lightbulb 17 - Use the gravity wall to climb back up to the top and continue to the right. Use the purple button, free the citizen and ride the elevator down to claim this bulb automatically.

 

Lightbulb 18 - Once you are back outside, activate the next marker and defeat the enemies. Use the button to turn on the gravity wall and use it to reach the top of the building and a piston jump. BEFORE using it, plan to bounce on the first pad, bounce on the second pad and then instead of bouncing on the third pad, guide yourself in mid air to reach this bulb. Do so now.

 

Gallery 5 - Now this time we will use the pistons all the way to the end. Press the switch but before moving on, look over the edge of the building to see a lightbulb. Right beside this lightbulb on a lower rooftop sits this collectible (Just out of sight). Drop down on the rooftop to claim it (NOT the lightbulb yet).

 

Lightbulb 19 – Now drop down and pick up the lightbulb.

 

Style 6 - Follow the objective arrow to the Haz-mat power-up and use it to defeat the Elites and smash the crates in the ink. Use the transformation engine that appears. DO NOT move on just yet. Instead turn around 180 degrees and you should be looking up a stairway. To the left of the stairway is a small path that runs along a glass wall. Follow it to some rooftops and drop down. Continue keeping left along this outer walkway along the next section of the glass wall and you will run right into this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 20 - You should be in the middle of the top of a stairway. Continue along the glass wall and you will come to a single story building. Jump up and a wall that used to be there is now gone allowing us to finally access this portion of the first area with paint. The first crate you come to has this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 21 – Continue along this path to find 3 more crates and another bulb.

 

Lightbulb 22 - Return all the way back the way we came to the objective marker. DO NOT use it yet. Turn 180 degrees again to look up the stairway again. Right at the top of the stairs there should be a button. Use it to activate a gravity wall. Climb to the top and you should see this item on the pipes on the right.

 

Style 7 – Return to the ground, press the button again and go back up the gravity wall. This time you will notice this item on top of the pipes on the left. Drop down to it as well.

 

Lightbulb 23 - Return to the gravity wall button but to not press it. Instead you should see some stairs on your right leading upward. At the top is a yellow Paintbot and on the single story building on the right is a piston jump. Just past this single story building is the water’s edge. Drop in right there to collect this bulb. It is kind of hidden by the reeds in the water so you may need to move the camera around to see it.

 

Gallery 6 - We are finally ready to move on so activate the objective marker and use the wrecking ball to destroy the enemies while rolling down the hill. You will get a cut-scene as you enter the area and afterward you should notice a yellow Paintbot on the nearest bridge. Under the bridge you should see a red extra life. On the other side of the extra life but still in the water is this item.

Lightbulb 24 - Get out of the water and continue toward the red objective marker. Before you reach it you will come to some stairs that lead to the football field. In the back of the field you should see this item spinning around between the goal posts.

 

Lightbulb 25 – As you leave the field, take the left stairway down and you should see this bulb sitting on a roof in the distance. Run over and grab it.

 

Lightbulbs 26, 27 and Style 8 - Activate the objective marker then run around and defeat all the enemies. Activate the next objective marker too and head inside the building. There is nothing in here so transform it and get back outside. Head to the next objective marker and use the wrecking ball to roll across the metal platforms in the water and into the elevator (just follow your objective arrow). At the top collect enough red paint and head inside. There are no collectibles in here so just complete all the puzzles and transform the building to stop the timer. Back outside, drop all the way down to the bottom and return to the wrecking ball power-up. Don’t use it. Instead pan the camera until you see a fast stream of water splashing out of a pipe into a puddle below. Just to the right of the puddle you should see a hole in the ground. Go ahead and jump inside. Ride the water wheel to collect ALL the items.

 

Style 9 - Once you are back outside, you should be able to see this collectible sitting on a single story rooftop to the right of the water puddle.

 

Gallery 7 - Drop down and face the water puddle. Pan the camera 90 degrees to the right and head down the road toward a red Paintbot. Jump up onto the rooftop behind the Paintbot and you should be able to see a Z-pad up on a second story roof. Use it to reach the top of the buildings. Go clockwise around the tower to find this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 28 – Continue clockwise around the tower for this bulb.

 

Style 10 – Continue clockwise around the tower for the final style bonus of this level.

 

Lightbulb 29 - From this corner of the tower you should be able to see this lightbulb on a nearby rooftop. Jump over to the lower roof first and then climb up to the bulb.

 

Lightbulbs 30 through 46 - At this point, go ahead and complete all the green challenges. Use your compass to run around and find them all now. Note that there are some items that we will be picking up DURING some of the challenges so read the next 4 entries below so you don’t have to redo something.

 

Gallery 8 - There is one challenge where the old man tells you he will activate the piston jumps. Jump on the pistons up the ramp and when you hit the last one at the top and start going back down fall to this ledge instead. The last gallery picture of this level should be right in front of you.

 

Lightbulb 47 – This is found on the same challenge as the last gallery picture. Once you pick up gallery 8, bounce on the nearby piston to launch to the next ledge and this item. Bounce on this last piston to complete the challenge.

 

Lightbulbs 48 and 49 – After completing the bouncing challenge you will end up back where the challenge started. Now head toward the Pinky icon in front of you but DO NOT talk to him yet. Instead you should see a lightbulb floating in mid air near another piston jump. Jump toward the piston and use it to bounce to the bulb. Continue bouncing through the pads to reach another bulb.

 

Lightbulb 50 – You should end up back at the piston challenge starting point. Now either use the pistons to get all the way to the top of the stairs or just roll up them. At the top you will see the wrecking ball power-up that we first used when we went down the hill. Use it and this time go back uphill into Engineering. Go up the first stairs, past the red Paintbot and up the next set of stairs. You will be at the gravity wall button so take the left path and you will roll down some more stairs. Right in front of you should be a pool of water so use the wrecking ball to drop inside, sink to the bottom and collect this final bulb.

 

TROPHY NOTE: This piston challenge is another good spot to try and get the secret trophy, “Piston Partisan” if you did not do it earlier. Just keeping bouncing on the pistons, up and down the hill until it unlocks.

 

Awards – Now take some time to follow your compass to find the remaining awards. If you have missed some they will be displayed on your compass. The 3 awards are Liberation (little brown guy symbol), Environment (palm tree symbol) and Clean Up (explosion symbol). If you already have a gold medal for one or more of these awards, that symbol will not be shown.

 

You should be clear to talk to Pinky and exit the level.

A quick disclaimer: this level is a little tough to write a guide for so bear with me. We may be revisiting areas a couple times. I may focus more on getting from point to point for the objectives and then coming back for some stuff once the timer is gone. Don’t forget to paint complete building sets to release citizens so you can paint them and get time extensions. Well, let’s see how it goes….

 

Style 1 – Tag the first objective marker, paint the air car on the left and start climbing the tower in front of you. You will pass this item on the way up.

 

Lightbulb 1 – On the same level as style 1, follow the walkway around to the back of the tower to find this hidden collectible.

 

Lightbulb 2 - You should have noticed this bulb sitting on some pipes. Climb up a level or two until you can jump to the pipes and then mosey over to grab it. (Yes mosey, I’m running out of descriptive words to use in the guides).

 

Lightbulb 3 - Continue to the top and enter the yellow tower. Drain the water and drop down along the color atoms. Complete the puzzles inside and press the yellow button at the bottom to raise the silo with yellow soda. Stay in the middle as you float up to grab this collectible.

 

Style 2 - Use the transformation engine to return outside. Hop in the cannon and launch to the red tower. Paint the air car to get it moving and activate the next objective marker. Once again you will run straight into this style bonus as you make your way around the tower.

 

Style 3 – At this point, BEFORE climbing the red tower, you should see a little walkway leading away from the tower. Follow it and pan the camera to see this collectible in front of you. Jump over to take it.

 

Lightbulb 4 – You will run right into this bulb as you ascend to the top of the tower.

 

Lightbulb 5 - Enter the red tower and work your way through it. Once again press the button at the bottom and ride the red soda up. Stay in the middle to grab this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 6 - Transform and head back outside. Use the cannon to launch to the bottom of the blue tower. Once again target the air car, jump on it to paint it and then jump back off. Now start climbing the blue tower. Once you reach the entrance, keep moving past it and climb up to the next level. Continue around the tower to find this bulb in the back.

 

Lightbulb 7 - Return to the entrance and head inside the blue tower. There are no collectibles in here so just transform it as fast as possible and move on. Once back outside, use the cannon and you will land at the primary color hub. Activate the next objective marker and climb to the top of the center tower while using the rainbow power-up to paint the required buildings. Just follow the top walkway around to the back to find this item.

 

Lightbulb 8 - Follow the marker to the transformation engine to lower the bridge to the secondary towers. Drop down into the middle red stream and keep dropping down until you reach this bulb.

 

Style 4 - Roll and dash to defeat the Spiky enemies and then press the yellow, blue and red buttons to lower the next bridge. Defeat the 2 elites and then paint the air car on the right to get it moving. Head toward the objective marker and activate it. The item is on the very next rooftop so grab it while painting the buildings.

 

Style 5 - Use the transformation engine to open the way forward. Follow the trail of color atoms to the next objective marker and this item.

 

Lightbulb 9 - Once again activate the air car before moving on up the green tower. Get all the way to the top and go inside. There is nothing to find in here so transform it and move on. Use the cannon to reach the next objective. Activate it and smash the 2 crates nearby.

 

Lightbulb 10 – Drop down behind you to reach this bulb that you probably already saw.

 

Style 6 – Drop down some more for this collectible.

 

Gallery 1 - Climb back up and head toward the objective marker. Drop in the hole to head up to the tower. As always, activate the air car before moving up the tower. At the top go inside and transform the tower to continue. Use the cannon to launch toward the next objective. BEFORE using the Z-pad shortcut, walk onto the middle of the pipes and jump to the boat on the left. Jump on the second boat and then to the dock with the yellow Paintbot. There is a sign on the dock and behind the sign is a boat with this item on it.

 

Style 7 - Pan the camera around and you will see a cannon on a rock ledge. There is also a single crate sitting there. It contains this collectible so jump over to break it open and grab it.

 

Lightbulb 11 – Jump back over to the dock and at the other end you will find 2 more crates. Break them open for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 12 – Continue to follow the dock around past the 3 buildings with globes on top of them and you should see this lightbulb just sitting there in the open. Swim over and grab it.

 

Lightbulb 13 - Move back to the dock and continue going around in the clockwise direction and you will come to 3 boats. The middle one will have a red Paintbot and a single crate on it. Break the crate to get the bulb inside.

 

Lightbulb 14 – Without moving, you should now be able to target another crate sitting on a rock ledge. Smash it for another easy bulb.

 

Lightbulb 15 - Head back to the middle boat and you should see a lone crate on a pier. It also contains another bulb.

 

Lightbulb 16 - Cross back over the pipes and use the Z-pad we were at a few minutes ago to continue on. You will land right on the next objective marker. Three pipes form the walkway to your destination but first we are going to pan the camera to the right until you see a waterfall with a 90 degree bend in the middle of it. Swim over and drop down at the angle point to collect this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 17 - While in this waterfall there is only one safe exit. Head along the wall and you should be able to see another lightbulb. Keep going that direction and you will be able to safely drop down to the water one level below. You might as well jump to the walkway and grab this bulb while we are here.

 

Gallery 2 - Jump back up on the walkway and face the big metal base. Head toward it and take the right path and you should see 3 pipes forming a walkway in the water. There is an island that serves as a connecting point for another set of pipes and you should be able to see this item on the ledge behind the island. Swim over to grab it.

 

Lightbulb 18 - On the very next island (if you would have followed the pipes to their end) is a Z-pad. Use it to bounce along and you will land right on this collectible.

 

Gallery 3 - Because of time, we need to make a quick loop around this level to grab the collectibles. Don’t forget to paint entire groups of houses to release citizens which in turn will give you more time. Hop in the water and head to the right. You should see this collectible sitting right in front of you at the base of a small waterfall.

 

Lightbulb 19 - Now head to the base of the yellow structure and behind it you should find a small waterside village. There is a yellow Paintbot so absorb it and look for an air car circling around (assuming you activating them like I suggested). Hop on one and ride it a short distance and you will see a bulb that was hidden behind a sign on the building we were just on. Jump down to claim it.

 

Gallery 4 – From up on this building you should be able to see a boat below you with 2 crates on it. Drop down and destroy the crates for this item.

 

Lightbulb 20 - Jump to the base of the red structure and continue clockwise through the village. From the next set of rooftops you should be able to see this bulb on the next set of buildings. Climb over and take it.

 

Lightbulb 21 - There are 2 crates on a pier on the next island. Find them and break them open for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 22 - At the base of the blue structure you will notice a boat docked between two piers. Smash the box on the boat for another bulb.

Lightbulb 23 - Now head all the way back to the base of the yellow structure and continue back across the water to the Z-pad that we used to get here. Bounce back to the base of the secondary structures. Cross the pipe walkway to the brown structure. Use the piston pad on the right to get back up. Take the walkway to the left around the central structure and you will jump across a black ink stream. Go up this small ramp and look down below. You should see the base of the purple structure, our next objective arrow marker and a Z-pad. Make a big jump toward the Z-pad and continue on to the next objective. Paint the air car and use the charge power-up to work your way along the bottom walkway, dashing through the 3 Spiky enemies. Ride the third elevator down and you will find this bulb at the end of the bottom walkway.

 

Lightbulb 24 - Climb up to the top of the purple tower and go inside. You will slide across to the left across some ice and take an elevator down. Your current objective is to hit 4 buttons so move through the building and do so. Next you will need to press a blue button. Do that and take two piston jumps back up a couple levels. On the left side at the top of the second jump you should see this bulb in plain sight.

 

Gallery 5 - Swim across the blue pool and drop down to find a Haz-mat power-up. Use it to roll through the flames and press the red button. Return back up top to transform the building. Back outside, DO NOT use this cannon. Instead, drop down into the purple waterway that you just saw in the cut-scene. Carefully drop down to the next purple waterway below to land on this collectible.

 

Style 8 - Drop down again to find yourself back at the secondary hub tower. Take the small ramp on your left up and look for the purple, green and orange pipes. Drop (not jump) off the edge of the walkway at the green pipe, to land safely below. The transformation engine should be right in front of you. Activate it to open a new path. Now time your movements to run across the moving platforms in a single attempt. Go straight across to the objective and ignore the lightbulb on the right for now. Go down the ramp on your right to find this item.

 

Lightbulb 25 – Jump across the orange, green and purple streams to collect this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 26 - Head up to the top of the ramp and take out the mortar. Then go back down to activate the path forward and the other side of the path backward. Head backward real quick and let’s get the lightbulb we skipped before.

 

Lightbulb 27 - Now turn around and go back up the other side to be back to the button we just pressed. Continue on to the next path of moving platforms. Once again we are going to skip the collectible that we pass on the right. Head up the ramp and take out the 2 mortars then go back down and you will notice that you can reach some buildings on the left. There will be a shield and a red Paintbot. Target the Paintbot and jump over. Climb the buildings and you should see this lightbulb sitting at the top.

 

Gallery 6 - Go down the back side of these building to find this item hiding at the bottom.

 

Style 9 - Return to the front, hop over and get some green paint and then hop back over to mix with the red Paintbot to make brown. Use it on the button to open a new path to the front and the back. Go backwards first to get the style collectible that we skipped on the way here.

 

Style 10 - Return and you will notice that there is no nearby platform on the next pipe. The platforms start about halfway down. Instead we will need to jump over to the left and work our way to the ones in the middle. Below is a blue Paintbot so jump to it and then climb the next couple of ledges to reach this item.

 

Lightbulb 28 – Now head to the front of these platforms near the pipes to find this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 29 - Climb to the top of these buildings and you should see a yellow Paintbot on the next walkway. Jump over to it and walk around to the front to find six smaller pipes forming a walkway to the next tower. Carefully cross them and drop down where 3 of the pipes do for this bulb.

 

Gallery 7 – Drop down on the pipes again for this collectible.

 

Gallery 8 – Climb back up and continue to cross over the 3 remaining pipes. Behind this other building you will find the final gallery picture of this level.

 

Lightbulb 30 – From here, drop down to the wooden platform below for the next bulb.

 

Lightbulb 31 – You probably already saw this next bulb sitting on the building across the gap in front of you. Jump over and climb up to the second floor to retrieve it.

 

Lightbulb 32 - Now at the next hub, go up the ramp and take out some more mortars. Head back down and find the yellow Paintbot. Now head back up and hit the yellow button and use the transformation engine to open up the final path (we don’t need to go backwards this time, Yay!) Time it well and run across to the next objective marker. Next use the Z-pads to get to the base of the tower. Run around and clear out the mortar on the left and then any other enemies on this lower level. Paint the buildings for some time extensions and finally press the gravity wall button and climb up. At the brown switch, look over to see this bulb sitting on top of a globe.

 

Lightbulb 33 - Press the brown button and drop down to use the new Z-pad. Climb to the top floating platform and enjoy the ride around to the entrance of the brown tower. Work your way through the tower taking out turrets until you reach the wrecking ball power-up. Use the wrecking ball to climb the magnetic metal wall. Head to the left passing one crusher at a time until you reach the end. DO NOT press the switch yet! Instead drop down one level to claim your prize.

 

Lightbulb 34 - Now work your way back up and press the switch we skipped, roll to the right and enter the final brown room. Take out the remaining turrets and transform the building. Back outside drop down to the lower level and move around the outer walkway until you can see the purple tower structure (it is a big purple globe shaped thing). Walk to the edge of the walkway that is nearest to the purple building and look down over the edge. You should see a support column mounted in a rock ledge that is surrounded by glass. You will also notice this bulb spinning around down there. Jump down to claim it.

 

Lightbulb 35 – Drop down again and you will be near a Z-pad. Right in front of you will be a boat with 2 crates on it. Smash them both for your reward.

 

Lightbulb 36 – Just past the boat is another lone crate by a house. Break it open for another bulb.

 

Lightbulbs 37 through 50 - At this point, go ahead and complete all the green challenges. Use your compass to run around and find them all now.

 

Awards – Now take some time to follow your compass to find the remaining awards. If you have missed some they will be displayed on your compass. The 3 awards are Liberation (little brown guy symbol), Environment (palm tree symbol) and Clean Up (explosion symbol). If you are playing on normal you need to start keeping a close eye on the timer for the remainder of the game. On easy the timer is practically a non-issue.

 

From the beginning activate the first objective marker and pan the camera to see the Haz-mat power-up. We are going to be using the power-up to skate around and defeat enemies and free the slaves. Because of the speed in which you move here, it is a little difficult to give directions so instead I’ll make a list of everything you can find while sliding around this area.

 

Style 1 – Smash an enemy snow sled.

Lightbulb 1 – Use a ramp to reach it.

Style 2 – In the back corner past 2 curved ramps.

Lightbulb 2 – In a narrow path near the starting point you will find this under a bridge.

 

You have 20 seconds with each Haz-mat power-up which will give you enough time to get maybe one item before needing to return and recharge your protection bubble.

 

Gallery 1 - After getting all the above items, saving all the citizens and defeating the enemies, press the button to open the way forward. Ignore the objective marker for a second and take the road to the left. At the end you will find a hole in the ground. Make your way through the level and you will press a red button and be shot out of a cannon. Save the 8 citizens and use another cannon to shoot upwards. With the wind machine now off you can progress all the way to the left, past the exit cannon and collect this item.

 

Lightbulb 3 - Exit back to the surface and activate the objective marker. Climb to the top of the tower and press the button. From the top of the tower pan the camera to the right a little and look down to see this bulb floating in mid air. (not the one on the frozen waterway) You can jump to it and collect it.

 

Lightbulb 4 - Go to the left side of the tower to find the graviton power-up and use it to defeat the two enemies on the bridge in front of you. The explosion will also take out a nearby crate and give you this bulb as a bonus.

 

Style 3 - Use the graviton on the next group of enemies standing on the bridge and wipe out any others left standing however you like. Return to the first bridge (the one nearest to the graviton) and cross it. On the left are a couple of buildings that you can climb to reach the frozen waterway above. Do so to collect this item.

 

Lightbulb 5 – Skate down the frozen water a short ways to collect this item.

 

Lightbulb 6 - Drop down and activate the objective marker. On the single story roof beside you is a yellow Paintbot. Hop up to it and notice the billboard mounted on the tall building in this group. The item is hidden behind this sign. You will notice another yellow Paintbot on top of the second story roof along the cliff wall. Climb over to it and you should now see a blue Paintbot on the next adjacent roof. Leap to it and from here, we can finally jump over to the roof of the tall building and claim the bulb behind the sign.

 

Lightbulb 7 - Enter the police station. Head to the right and you will see this bulb behind a water shower. Just climb over to get it.

 

Lightbulb 8 – After freeing the citizens at the bottom of the police station a gate will open on the right. The air current will take you back up and you can collect this bulb that is floating in mid air.

 

Lightbulb 9 - Transform the police station and head back outside. Take the ramp on the right side of the police station up and before going to the objective marker, take the small path to the left to go behind the police station and see this bulb sitting right there in the open.

 

Lightbulb 10 - Tag the objective marker and start to climb the tower. After pressing the red button you will need to cross some flame traps. Once on the other side, you should be able to see a bulb sitting in mid air near some pipes. Jump over to collect it.

 

Lightbulb 11 – Continue defeating enemies and freeing slaves until you reach the top. Use the transformation engine and then launch yourself in the cannon to the next area. Pan the camera around and you will see a snow sled sitting in the corner. Smash it for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 12 - Climb to the top of the building with the single smoke stack and look over the edge to see another small rooftop below and this bulb. Drop down to collect it. Just walk along the top of the pipe to get back.

 

Style 4 - Head to the objective marker and activate it. Turn right to go down a ramp and then turn right again to find 3 crates at the dead end. Break them open for you reward.

 

Style 5 - Now return back up the ramp and go inside the next building. There is nothing to find here so just transform it and move on. Back outside, head around the left of the building to find some crates up on a ledge. Jump up to the lower rooftop and make your way to the right to find this item in the corner.

 

Gallery 2 – Drop down on the right side and you should land near a yellow Paintbot. You should see this item if you look down the ramp and into the frozen ink. Head over and pick it up quickly before taking too much damage.

 

Lightbulb 13 - Cross the new bridge to the next section and the objective marker. Activate it but before moving on, break the 4 black road barricades to uncover this item.

 

Lightbulb 14 – Get the appropriate paint color and roll between the gap in the buildings, using wall run. During the wall run, jump from one building to the next to collect this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 15 - Take out the enemies in the immediate area and then head to the left to find this item sitting right out in the open at the dead end.

 

Style 6 – Return to the previous courtyard and then head to the right to find this item sitting in the open on top of the roof.

 

Lightbulb 16 - Continue climbing the roofs and you will reach a walkway that leads to the first jail. Go inside, free all the people and transform the building to get back outside. Follow the trail of color atoms, PAST the objective marker and they end at a snow sled. Break it for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 17 - Turn around and follow the left wall and you will eventually come to another snow sled and some crates. Keep going all the wall down the road and you will find a single crate on top of some shipping containers stacked in the water. Break open the crate for this prize.

 

Lightbulbs 18 and 19 - Now follow the objective marker to enter the next building. Inside, use the Haz-mat item to cross the flame traps. Make your way through the building and you will come to a large frozen pool of ink. Slide across and pick up these two bulbs as you do.

 

Gallery 3 - Transform the building and head back outside. Jump over the pipe to reach the objective marker way below and activate it. You now need to rescue at least a total of 200 citizens to move on. If you’ve been painting all the buildings and freeing everyone you see so far, you should be around 180+ already. Skate around this bottom area freeing everyone you see. While doing this you should see a boat with a red Paintbot on it. Above this boat is an inactive Z-pad. Head to the left and you will come to some rooftops that are low enough for you to climb on. Work your way up and to the left to find this collectible at the end.

 

Style 7 – Keep skating down the canyon and you will come to a series of houses in the middle of the frozen water. This item can be easily seen at the top. Climb up to get it.

 

Lightbulb 20 - Pan to the left and you will see a boat with a red Paintbot on it and a Z-pad on the ledge just behind the boat. Make your way to the Z-pad and use it to enter the pipe above.

 

Lightbulbs 21 and 22 - Drop back down along the pipe we just came up cross to the opposite side of the canyon to find another Z-pad and pipe. Jump on it and ride back to the objective marker (assuming you have 200 people freed and didn’t already activate it).

 

Style 8 - Activate the objective marker and head all the way back to the other end of the canyon. Stay on the right hand side and you will come to a group of houses just past the Z-pad/pipe that we just used. Climb to the top to collect this item.

 

Lightbulb 23 - Defeat any remaining enemies and go to the objective arrow. More enemies will drop in so defeat them and a Z-pad will unlock. BEFORE using it, climb up the houses behind it and find this collectible mid way up.

Style 9 - Continue climbing to the top of these houses for the last style bonus on this level.

 

Lighbulb 24 - Get a full charge of the required paint color and use the Z-pad to climb inside the Inktron Collider. Work your way through the level and transform the building to stop the timer and return outside. DON’T drop down just yet. Go around the back of the top of the collider to find this hidden bulb.

 

Lightbulb 25 - Carefully drop down on top of the highest arm of the collider. At the end you will find a bulb floating in mid air. Jump to it to grab it. If you miss, just use the nearby piston to jump back up and shoot right to it.

 

Gallery 4 - There is a pool of water behind the collider. You will find this item on top of a ledge in the middle of the back edge.

 

Lightbulb 26 - There is another Z-pad back here behind the collider that you can use to launch into the air and collect this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 27 - You should have noticed that the Z-pads throughout the canyon are also active. Use the one close by and bounce along them to collect this bulb in mid air.

 

Lightbulbs 28 and 29 – You should have also noticed that air cars are now floating around. Make your way to the top and ride them around for these two bulbs. Don’t forget that you can target them to make your landing a bit easier. There are two different loops of cars that you will need to ride on so be sure to do both as they each take you to different bulbs within the canyon.

 

Lightbulb 30 - One of the air car loops will take you past a waterfall and you will be able to see this bulb inside it at the top. Simply jump off and swim over to get it.

 

Gallery 5 - At the bottom of this waterfall you should see some crates nearby on the left. There is one that has spikes on top of it. Target and dash through it for the final gallery picture of this letter.

 

Lightbulb 31 – Continue along the bottom of the canyon back to the Inktron Collider. You will see 3 crates on the left by the Pinky icon. Break them open for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 32 – Head back along the right side of the canyon to find another grouping of crates. Break them all for this item.

 

Lightbulbs 33 through 39 - At this point, go ahead and complete all the green challenges. Use your compass to run around and find them all now. Note that there is one item that we will be picking up DURING the challenges so read the next entry below so you don’t have to redo something.

 

Lightbulb 40 – While completing the green challenges, you will end up back in the area with the police station and where we used the graviton on the two bridges. In the back of this area (near the graviton icon if you can remember that) is a waterfall that is now unfrozen. The bulb is right inside it.

 

Awards – Now take some time to follow your compass to find the remaining awards. If you have missed some they will be displayed on your compass. The 3 awards are Liberation (little brown guy symbol), Environment (palm tree symbol) and Clean Up (explosion symbol). If you already have a gold medal for one or more of these awards, that symbol will not be shown.

 

You should be clear to talk to Pinky and exit the level.

If you are playing on normal you need to start keeping a close eye on the timer for the remainder of the game. On easy the timer is practically a non-issue.

 

Style 1 - From the beginning, pan the camera to the right and locate the blue Paintbot below. Take the walkway it is on to the cliff edge and climb up. About halfway up, you should see a yellow Paintbot. Above the Paintbot is a ledge with this first item on it.

 

Lightbulb 1 – From here, head to the left and drop down to find a gravity wall button. Press the button, climb the wall and jump over the ink waterfall to collect this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 2 – Instead of continuing up the gravity wall, drop down at the angle point. You should land on a tree and this bulb is below.

 

Style 2 and Gallery 1 – Jump back over and take the ink hit. You can find some water back at the starting point to wash off. Activate the objective marker and paint the buildings and destroy the 3 towers. Activate the next marker and defeat the elites. Before using the transformation engine, head all the way to the right along the cliff’s edge to find a hole. Drop in and use the cannon to shoot onto the gear. Walk along the top of the gear while it is spinning to collect everything.

 

Lightbulb 3 - Return to the left to find a button that will turn on the gravity wall. Take the wall up to the first platform to find this bulb.

 

Style 3 - Continue up the gravity wall to the next level. Move along this walkway all the way to the left, jumping any gaps along the way. At the end lies this item on a rooftop.

 

Gallery 2 – Return to the right along the upper rooftops. You will reach 4 crates so smash them open for this item.

 

Lightbulb 4 – Keep moving along these upper rooftops until you reach the end and this bulb.

 

Gallery 3 - Now drop back down and use the transformation engine. Use the piston jump to leap inside the pipe. Head to the right and cross all the gears. You will come to a room and you will see this sitting on a ledge above you. Drop down and use the Z-pad below to bounce all the way back up.

 

Lightbulbs 5, 6 and 7 – Now on the next platform is a brown button. Press it to activate a gravity wall on the ceiling. Head all the way to the left and drop down to a room containing all 3 of these lightbulbs.

 

Lightbulb 8 – Make your way to the objective and follow the arrow up the tower. You will pass this bulb automatically on the second level.

 

Lightbulb 9 - On the third floor defeat some enemies and go up the next gravity wall. There you will find some laser traps and TV sentry and this bulb. Head over and destroy the TV so you don’t have to worry about it and then jump through the lasers to grab the bulb.

 

Lightbulb 10 - Continue on to the top of the tower and transform the building. Use the Z-pad to ride the pipe back down to the bottom. Move on to the next objective marker at the Quality Control tower. Just ride the center fan around to the next stop. On this first level you should be able to see a sign blocking and edge. Approach it and wall run across the gap to the other side. Tucked around the corner on the first floor of this tower is another bulb.

 

Gallery 4 - Climb to the second floor and pass the first set of crushers. You will come to a blue Paintbot on the corner of the building. Behind it is a ramp that leads down to this well hidden item.

 

Lightbulb 11 - Continue on and destroy a TV and smash all the crates to uncover a hole. Enter the hole and make your way to a room with 3 crushers. This bulb is found right in front of the middle one. Just climb up and ride the conveyor belt over to the left to reach it.

 

Style 4 - Continue on to the next objective arrow and climb the gravity wall. As you work around the tower you will see this spinning on a rooftop. Go ahead and climb up to grab it.

 

Lightbulb 12 – On the next level up, is a moving platform that you can use to reach this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 13 – On the next section of the tower is another easy bulb in the middle of some spikes.

 

Lightbulb 14 - Continue to the top and transform the tower then use the Z-pad to enter the pipe and return to the bottom. Ride the fan over to the next platform and the next objective, the packaging tower. As you work your way upward, you will come to a section with 4 enemies, a TV and spiked walls. Destroy everything and go up the next ramp. At the end of this walkway you should be able to see some shipping containers. Drop down and then a little to the left to collect this bulb.

 

Gallery 5 – Right around the corner from lightbulb 14 sits this item.

 

Lightbulb 15 – Continue on to the top and take the next gravity wall to the right to see this bulb sitting in your path.

 

Style 5 – Continue up to defeat some enemies, smash a TV and save some citizens. Your should see this item spinning on top of some shipping containers on the left side.

 

Lightbulb 16 - Smash all the crates in this area to uncover a hole in the ground. Work through this area and you will collect this bulb automatically.

 

Lightbulb 17 - Continue to the top and transform this tower too. Use the Z-pad and the pipe to make it back to the bottom. Ride the fan to the next transformation engine and use it to stop the fan. Use the button and ride the elevator to the next area. Climb the shipping crates to the rooftops and pan the camera to locate this bulb on the upper roof close to you. Climb over past the smoke stacks to reach it.

 

Gallery 6 – This item is hidden by the smoke stack on this same rooftop.

 

Style 6 - Activate the next objective marker and let’s go clockwise around the tower to press the switches. You will see this item sitting on top of the nearby roofs.

 

Lightbulb 18 – Ride the first conveyor belt you come to and use the shipping containers to reach this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 19 – On the next platform on the right is 4 crates. Break them over for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 20 - Continue to the top to hit the first button. Now use the nearby boat and you should be able to see this bulb. Take out the enemies and grab the bulb when the coast is clear.

 

Style 7 – Jump over to the next tower and use the gravity wall to reach the top. Grab this item and then hit the switch.

 

Lightbulb 21 – Drop down, head back to the main tower and grab this bulb along the way.

 

Style 8 - Continue clockwise around the tower and you will see this on another rooftop.

 

Lightbulb 22 - Ride the conveyor belt to the next tower and once again grab the lightbulb by jumping off the shipping crates.

 

Lightbulb 23 – Smash the crates on the next platform for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 24 - Use the gravity wall to reach the top once again and press the switch. Drop down and once again use the boats to cross to the final tower. Grab this bulb along the way.

 

Lightbulb 25 - Continue across and use the gravity wall to reach the top. Press the button and head back to the main tower. Grab this bulb on the way.

 

Lightbulb 26 - Activate the next objective marker and climb the main tower all the way to the top to get inside. You will collect this bulb while progressing through the main path.

 

Lightbulbs 27, 28 and 29 - At this point, go ahead and complete the 3 green challenges in this area. Use your compass to run around and find them all now.

 

Lightbulb 30 – Now go talk to Pinky and when he asks if you are ready to leave, say NO. DO NOT say yes. Select the “Three Towers” to warp there and run around to complete the green challenge in this area. Use your compass to find it.

Lightbulb 31, 32, 33 and 34 – Now go talk to Pinky again and when he asks if you are ready to leave say NO. DO NOT say yes. Select the “Factory Gates” to warp there and run around to complete the green challenges in this area. Use your compass to run around and find them all now. Note that there are ten items that we will be picking up DURING the challenges so read the next entries below so you don’t have to redo something.

 

Lightbulb 35 – One of the challenges will have you climb up a gravity wall that was previously inaccessible. Right in front of the green challenge marker you should see this bulb sitting in the water in a circle of reeds.

 

Gallery 7 - At the same starting point of the green challenge referenced in lightbulb 32, pan the camera around and you will also see this in the water in a little niche in the cliff wall.

 

Lightbulb 36 – During the same challenge as the last two collectibles, you will finally start climbing the gravity wall. This lightbulb is right on the main path as you head up.

 

Style 9 – During the same challenge as the last three collectibles, you will see this on a rooftop while painting the buildings.

 

Lightbulb 37 – During the same challenge as the last four collectibles, you will reach a small walkway in front of the last houses that you need to paint. Go to the end of these houses and you will see a sign on the back wall. Wall run on that sign, to the small triangular rooftop and this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 38 - After completing the green challenge that we used to collect the last five collectibles, you will activate a wrecking ball. You can use it to sink underwater and enter the underwater hole shown in the cut-scene. Grab the wrecking ball inside the hole and quickly make you way to the right and fall down the hole past the gears to reach this bulb.

 

Style 10 – After the wrecking ball power-up wears off, float up to the top and you will enter an area with a gear. Watch it spin around and collect this item. The exit pipe will take you back to the middle of the factory so talk to Pinky again and when he asks if you are ready to leave say NO. DO NOT say yes. Select the “Factory Gates” to warp there.

 

Gallery 8 - While completing one of the green challenges in this area, a secret cave will open. Use the gravity wall to reach the entrance. Once inside take the first elevator up and use the cannon to launch to the left. Keep heading to the left to find this item.

 

Lightbulb 39 - Press the green button right in front of you and follow the color atom trail to a hole. Drop down and walk all the way to the left to collect this item.

 

Lightbulb 40 – Use the piston jump to get back up and travel all the way to the end of the cave to enter a pipe. Ride the pipe to return to the middle of the factory. Turn around and go back in the exact same pipe to automatically collect the bulb and return outside.

Lightbulb 1 – From the beginning, follow the path and go around the bottom of the rock formation for this easy bulb.

 

Lightbulb 2 - As you cross the first bridge, look below and to the right to see a red extra life and a cave. Enter the cave and proceed to it until you get to a point where you press buttons to raise the water level. Then walk right to the bulb.

 

Gallery 1 – Continue up the ramp to the right to find some color atoms and a couple of shields. Jump to the ramp on your left and follow it up to a shaft. Drop down the right side to land on this little ledge below and collect this item.

 

Lightbulb 3 - Exit the cave and activate the next objective marker. Follow the main path and you will run into this next bulb.

 

Gallery 2 - Press the button to open the gates. Go inside and defeat the enemies and free the people. Climb to the top of the buildings on the left of this area to find this item.

 

Style 1 - Enter the first dome and go to the objective marker and then straight into the hole that opens up. Drop to the bottom and use the Paintbot to fill up with paint. You want enough to break through the wall on the left so let the Paintbot respawn if you need more. Break through the wall to find a piston jump. Use it to jump straight up to this item.

 

Lightbulb 4 – Use the same piston jump again but this time stick to the middle of the right wall by pressing :cross:. Once stuck, press :cross: again to jump off the wall to pick up the bulb on your left.

 

Lightbulb 5 – Free the first group of slaves, press the next button and drop down the shaft that opens to collect this bulb.

 

Gallery 3 - Press the blue button and use the piston to jump back up to the left. Mix with the red paint to make purple and jump across to the yellow Paintbot. DO NOT mix with that because we need purple. Use the Z-pad to jump through the spikes and destroy the turret at the top. Now, head all the way to the right, pass the piston jump, to see a purple turnstile. Activate it to open the next door on the right. Make your way through the spikes to find this collectible at the end.

 

Style 2 - Return to the piston jump and use it to exit the hole. Tag the next objective marker and drop down behind the building you are on (I mean to the outer edge near the dome). On the ground, behind this building, you will find some crates with this item in it.

 

Lightbulb 6 – Continue clockwise around the exterior and you will come to a blue pool. Look above it to see a crane and this bulb. Climb the nearby shipping containers to reach the adjacent roof. From there, you can jump around the crane base to collect the bulb.

 

Lightbulb 7 – Continue clockwise around the exterior, passing the blue pool and climb the next group of buildings you come to. Smash the crates there to find this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 8 - Press both buttons to free Arty. Now use the transformation engine to exit this dome. Jump to the next objective marker and you will see this bulb at the base of the control tower. Go ahead and collect it.

 

Lightbulbs 9 and 10 – Enter the control tower and grab the blue paint and head left. Kill the guy and use the launch pad to get to the cannon ball power up. Use the cannon ball and roll up on to the BACK metal wall. Roll along the back wall avoiding the spiked smasher and then turn to go up. Roll past the 2 smashers and turn left. Go straight through the breakable wall at the end and you will find these 2 bulbs and another wrecking ball power-up.

 

Lightbulb 11 - Use the power-up in this room and go back up and to the right. Above you is another smasher, so time your move to go up and passed it to the right. Keep rolling on the back wall all the way to the right (past the hole we first fell through) and you will be able to get back down to normal ground. A little bit more to the right is the yellow Paintbot. Mix with that, drop back down the original hole and hit the button to move on. Defeat the Elites and transform the building to exit. Enter the next tower and transform it too. This will open the transport tubes which you can ride to the second dome. As soon as you land you will see some crates on the left. Smash them for this bulb.

 

Style 3 - Activate the next objective marker. Make your way counter clockwise around the exterior of the dome to find this item sitting on a single story roof near a smoke stack.

 

Gallery 4 – Continue counter clockwise and jump up to the top of the very next set of buildings. Once at the top look down below to see this item sitting on a lower rooftop. Drop down to collect it.

 

Lightbulb 12 - Take some time to go and press the 4 buttons now. On the platform with the green button is a lone crate. Smash it for this bulb.

 

Gallery 5 - Defeat all the enemies and head underground via the next hole. Work your way through and after filling 3 holes with paint, you will activate a dormant Z-pad. It is between the red and yellow Paintbot. Use it to reach the top and grab this item.

 

Lightbulb 13 – Drop all the way to the bottom and go down the new hole. This is directly under the grate that the Z-pad we used for gallery 5 is sitting on. So as you descend, keep your eye on that shaft to know where to go. Once in the hole, you will find yourself on top of a piston jump. Drop down another level and head to the left to grab the bulb. Use the pistons to return to the top.

 

Lightbulb 14 - Return outside and use the transformation engine. Head toward the next objective marker but DO NOT activate it yet. Instead, pan the camera 180 degrees to see a new Z-pad. Use it to soar through the air and finally reach the bulb that was sitting up at the top of the dome.

 

Lightbulb 15 - Return to the objective marker and pan the camera to the right. You will be able to see this bulb on the nearby lower ledge by a tree.

 

Lightbulb 16 – From this lower level, jump across the ink to collect the extra life (if you need it) and this bulb.

 

Style 4 - Use the gravity wall on either tower to get back up. Defeat the Elites and press the 2 buttons to move on. Use the transformation engine to enter the third dome. Defeat the enemies in the immediate area and pan the camera to find a red Paintbot in the corner of this lower level. Head toward it and you should see 3 crates on your left. To the left of the crates is a single story rooftop with this item on it.

 

Lightbulb 17 – Return to the red Paintbot and climb to the top of the building right beside it to find this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 18 - Now work clockwise around the dome smashing crates and defeating enemies. Return to the objective marker and activate it. Hit the buttons, paint the buildings and press the final button to clean out the ink. With the ink gone we can safely swim over and get the bulb from the bottom of the waterfall.

 

Lightbulb 19 - Activate the next objective marker to extend some bridges that you can use to press a button and release your third friend. Use the transformation engine and you should see this bulb on top of a rock ledge in the distance. Use the gravity wall to climb up and take it.

 

Lightbulb 20 – Continue to follow the gravity wall all the way down to its end and you will see a single crate sitting on a pier. Break it open for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 21 – As you round the first corner you will see that you can climb up the cliff side on your left. Climb to the highest ledge while avoiding the bombs to collect this prize.

 

Lightbulb 22 - Drop down and take the next gravity wall to the top of the tower for another easy bulb.

 

Lightbulb 23 – Continue along the main path and take the third gravity wall to the top of the tower for yet another easy bulb.

 

Lightbulb 24 - Enter the cave and move through it to enter the fourth dome. Activate the objective marker and climb around the ledges on this center piece to find this item.

 

Lightbulb 25 - Paint the buildings and defeat the enemies. Press the lower green button to turn off the flame traps and grab this prize.

Style 5 – Quickly move to the other side of the green tower while the flame traps are off to claim this item too.

 

Style 6 - Use the gravity wall at the top of the green tower to reach the green button and drop down. Head on over and use the lower orange button to activate the gravity wall that leads to this item.

 

Gallery 6 – Quickly climb the gravity wall at the top of the orange tower and go straight off the next edge to fall onto this collectible.

 

Lightbulb 26 - Press the main orange button and drop down to push the lower purple button. Once again, quickly climb the 2 gravity walls and jump off at the top of the purple tower to this lower rooftop below to land on this item.

 

Lightbulb 27 - Push the main purple button. Now drop down and push the bottom brown button and use the center gravity wall to climb up to press the top brown button and thaw your fourth friend. Activate the transformation engine to escape this dome and then head for the next objective marker. There are a row of crates with spikes on top of them, so target them and dash through them all for this item.

 

Lightbulb 28 – You will notice there is a red Paintbot here as well. Head over to it and look over the edge of the platform to see this item below. Drop over the edge to grab it and use the gravity wall to get back up.

 

Style 7 - Head down the main walkway and defeat all the enemies there first. Then take out the Elites and finally press the two buttons to extend the bridge. Use the regen power-up and take out the next group of enemies on the walkway. Then attack the elites and press the last two buttons. As you continue down the main walkway to the main island, you should be able to see this item in the distance near the surface of the ink. Walk over and drop down on the shipping containers to collect it.

 

Lightbulb 29 – You might as well grab this bulb that is right beside style 7 while you are at it.

 

Lightbulb 30 – Climb back up and continue to the right to see some moving platforms. Pan the camera to the left to see this bulb sitting in the open by the center column.

 

Style 8 - Return to the outer ring and climb the buildings right beside you. Continue counter clockwise and you will come to a gap in the walkway on this upper level. Jump across and you should see this item on the rooftops below and to the right.

 

Lightbulb 31 - Drop off the rooftop to the lower level and return to the outer edge to find this bulb sitting on another hidden platform just above the surface of the ink.

 

Gallery 7 - Continue around to complete our loop and end up back at the objective marker. Activate it and follow the arrow to press the 3 buttons and release your blimp. Now head back to the center tower and activate the next objective marker. While climbing the tower, a moving platform will take you from the center to an outer platform with electricity traps. Wait for them to shut off, run to the end, jump off, target the yellow Paintbot in mid air and smash it to land on that platform. Quickly defeat the single enemy standing there and you should see this item sitting on the next platform in front of you. Jump over to grab it.

 

Lightbulb 32 - Now use the platform that is going up and down to reach the top level of the tower and you will see this bulb right in front of you.

 

Lightbulb 33 - Defeat all the enemies and enter the main building. When you drop down be sure to ONLY press the blue button. Leave the yellow one alone. Pressing it will release a room full of bombs and kill you. Ride the elevator down. Progress through the area and you will get a message about filling the final color sinks. As you drop down to them, you will collect this bulb.

 

Lightbulbs 34 through 49 - Complete the remaining portion of this area and transform the building to stop the timer. At this point, go ahead and complete the green challenges in this area. Use your compass to run around and find them all now. Note that there are three items that we will be picking up DURING the challenges so read the next entries below so you don’t have to redo something.

 

Lightbulb 50 - You will get a challenge that requires you to enter a hole to free the bears. Drop in the hole and as you work through the area you will come to a part where you need to climb a metal magnetic wall. Climb it up to the top and drop down to the right to collect this bulb.

 

Gallery 8 - You will get another challenge that requires you to enter a different hole to free some critters. Use the first turnstile and then drop down the hole. Break through the weak section of the floor to collect the final gallery picture of this level.

 

Style 9 - Now use the nearby Z-pad to launch yourself up to the top and collect this item along the way.

 

Awards – Now take some time to follow your compass to find the remaining awards. If you have missed some they will be displayed on your compass. The 3 awards are Liberation (little brown guy symbol), Environment (palm tree symbol) and Clean Up (explosion symbol). If you already have a gold medal for one or more of these awards, that symbol will not be shown.

 

You should be clear to talk to Pinky and exit the level.

Inky Fabricator (Railyards)

If you are playing on normal you need to start keeping a close eye on the timer for the remainder of the game. On easy the timer is practically a non-issue.

 

Style 1 – Begin the level, activate the first objective marker and defeat the 6 enemies in the immediate area. Head up the hill behind you and defeat those guys too. Watch out for the Spiky enemy and take him out first. In the very back behind the black building, you should be facing a large wall on the other side of an inky moat. To get there now, grab the nearby blue paint and climb the 2 buildings on the left. You should see a yellow Paintbot across the moat. Jump toward it, target it in mid air and then smash it to land on the opposite platform. Press the green button and then return toward the large wall to jump up and grab this item.

 

Lightbulb 1 – This can be clearly seen a couple of jumps away from style 1 as described above.

 

Lightbulb 2 – Return to the mainland, grab the blue paint again and this time, climb the 2 buildings on the right. Target the red Paintbot across the moat and then press the purple button. This will activate a graviton power-up. You can now use that to wipe out the remaining enemies in one attack. This should also destroy the helicopter in the fountain which will release this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 3 - With everyone dead, climb up the back of the train station building to get inside. There is nothing to find in here so just transform the building and move on. Activate the next objective marker and cross the left bridge. Kill the Spikys and TVs first and then wipe out the remaining guys. On the left side of the ground level is a row of crates. Destroy them for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 4 - Climb to the top of the buildings right beside you on the left, avoiding the electricity traps as you go, to claim this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 5 - Continue clockwise around this small area and you will come to a red pool. On the next set of buildings you should see this item sitting right out in the open.

 

Style 2 – This is just a jump away from lightbulb 5.

 

Style 3 - Make sure you have some red paint and return across the bridge and the cross second bridge to the right. You will see this item on top of the buildings on the right, just across the bridge.

 

Gallery 1 - Continue around to the blue pool to find a Haz-mat power up. Use that to cross the flame traps and climb to the top of this building. If you paint the whole building while protected, the flames traps will disappear. At the highest rooftop you should be able to see this item sitting on a nearby platform. Jump over to grab it.

 

Lightbulb 6 – Follow the path on this side of the moat all the way to the left to grab this bulb at the end.

 

Lightbulb 7 - Work your way to the end of the right side of the path on this side of the moat to grab this item.

 

Style 4 – Return to the mainland and continue on to the final set of buildings to find this item sitting near a smoke stack.

 

Lightbulb 8 - Follow the arrow to press the red and blue buttons to continue to the next objective. Use the transformation engine to open the next gates and grab this bulb found in the middle of the path to the next objective.

 

Style 5 - Grab the Haz-mat power-up, head to the left and work around clockwise, destroying tanks and killing guys. When you near the end of the loop around the area you will see this item sitting on a single story rooftop.

 

Gallery 2 - Once all the tanks are gone, use the cannons on top of the roofs near the entrance of this area to launch to the top and hit the 2 buttons. Then drop down and fill up with paint to enter the building. There is nothing to find inside so transform the building and move on. Drop into the newly drained moat, and head clockwise to find this item right in front of you.

 

Style 6 - Enter through the new gates and proceed to the next objective marker. Activate it and go to the back of this area to find this item near the red pool.

 

Lightbulb 9 - Climb to the top of these buildings and return to the front of this area. Defeat the mortar and use the wall run to reach the next rooftop and you will find this bulb hidden right around the corner.

 

Gallery 3 - Paint the trains next. After doing that, you will get a cut-scene that shows you the next button you need to press and you will land on a platform in the middle of the trains. From this platform, pan the camera around to see this item sitting in the corner. Ride the trains over to reach it.

 

Style 7 - Now ride the trains over and press the button to continue. Paint the buildings and use the transformation engine to advance to the next area. Use the Z-pad and activate the objective marker. There are gravitons all around this area to help defeat the enemies so use them as you see fit. A good one to start with is the one at the front of the ship you are standing on. Grab it, use it and you should see a red Paintbot on the rooftops in front of you. To the right of the Paintbot is this item.

 

Lightbulb 10 - Head to the top left side of the buildings we just climbed up to grab style 7 and you should be able to see this bulb sitting around the corner on another set of buildings. Use your wall run to reach it.

 

Lightbulb 11 - Drop down and you should land near a yellow Paintbot and a walkway. Follow the walkway, defeat any remaining enemies and you should see 3 crates on the boat. Smash them for this item.

 

Gallery 4 – Continue following the last walkway we were on to the back and walk around the smoke stake for this item.

 

Style 8 - Head back to the front of this area and you should see a blue pool. Right behind it on the lower rooftops lies this item. Jump over to get it.

 

Gallery 5 - Continue to climb the last set of rooftops for this item too.

 

Lightbulb 12 - After defeating all the enemies a hole opens up on the ship. Go inside and as you make your way through the level you will get to a section where the ink level rises and falls. Time your movements to drop down and collect this bulb while you make your way to the right.

 

Lightbulb 13 - Be sure you have some blue paint and use the next piston jump to land on the above ledges. Press the blue button to open the door and collect this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 14 – Exit the boat and follow the trail of color atoms to reach this next bulb floating on an orange platform in the water.

 

Lightbulb 15 – Continue to follow the trail of atoms to this bulb and the next objective marker.

 

Lightbulb 16 - Defeat the enemies and enter the building. There is nothing to find inside so transform the building and move on. Activate the next objective marker and head to the left. You will find 3 crates lined up in the back corner. Smash them for this bulb.

 

Style 9 – Climb the nearby building and cross the rooftops to see this item sitting on the adjacent building roof. Do a big jump from the lower rooftop and you can make it up there to collect this.

 

Gallery 6 - Drop down and proceed back to the front. Use the Haz-mat power-up to cross the flame traps and defeat the enemies. On the second boat, before going up the gravity wall, look down into the water to see this item on a rock ledge below. Jump in to grab it.

 

Lightbulb 17 – Jump into the water and head over to the right to see this bulb on a small island near the wall.

 

Lightbulb 18 - Continue heading to the right in the water and you will reach a small cliff side ledge that you can get on top of. Climb up to the very top for this bulb.

 

Gallery 7 – While climbing the cliff you should have also seen this item tucked away in the corner. Head over and grab it too.

 

Gallery 8 – Jump back down to the water and swim back and pass under both boats. As you round the corner you should see a piston jump and this item will be tucked in the right corner of the little walkway.

Lightbulb 19 - Use the gravity wall to climb up the main part of the tower and defeat the remaining enemies and smash the helicopters to enter the building. Once inside, get through the area as quickly as you can and transform the building to return outside. Stand there and jump onto a nearby boat to ride to this bulb floating in mid air.

 

Lightbulb 20 - Cross the new bridge and make your way up the left side of the building. Climb all the way to the top to find this bulb in the back.

 

Style 10 - Below the area where we just picked up lightbulb 20, you should be able to see the last style bonus of this level. Drop down to get it.

 

Lightbulb 21 - Enter the main building. Ride the conveyor belt and you will see this bulb sitting right there beside a cannon on the left.

 

Lightbulb 22 – Use the cannon sitting beside lightbulb 21 to launch up above to another conveyer belt. In the distance and in the back of this area, you should be able to see this bulb. Carefully make your way through the traps to reach it. If you accidentally land in an ink puddle just keep going because there is some water on the end with the bulb.

 

Lightbulbs 23 through 30 - Return back to the main level and ride the conveyor to the end. Use the piston to reach the pipe and enter the room to fight the boss. Refer to the description for “Railyards Liberated” in the trophy guide if you need some tips to defeat the boss. Once back outside, transform the building and go ahead and complete the green challenges in this area. Use your compass to run around and find them all now.

Lightbulb 1 - Continue to the objective marker and cross the small island with the yellow Paintbot. Climb the next building and smash the crates at the top for this item.

 

Gallery 2 - On the other side of this rooftop you will find some more crates. Break them open to find this item.

 

Lightbulb 2 - Press the purple button to clear out some of the ink and cross the new bridge to the next objective. Paint some more and press the red button for another bridge. Continue defeating guys and press the blue button to fill up some paint pools. From the blue button, pan the camera to the right to find this bulb sitting on top of a structure near a red Paintbot. Drop down toward it, clean out any remaining enemies and climb out to snag it.

 

Lightbulb 3 - From this upper platform, you should be able to see a bulb and a gallery item across the water on a little island. You can get the bulb now but you will have to come back for the gallery later.

 

Style 1 - Continue clockwise through the water and you will reach another small island with this item on it. This is near the bridge we originally started the level on.

 

Gallery 3 - On this exact platform, you will notice a tree coming out of the wall. Climb up onto it and then jump to the next ledge to reach this item. If you have problems getting onto the tree you can come back and get these later when riding around on the boats.

 

Lightbulb 4 - From gallery 3, jump over to the neighboring island for this easy bulb.

 

Gallery 4 – Drop down to the water and head right down the middle across the broken bridge segments. You will come to a lone crate so smash it open for this item.

 

Style 2 - We can now head to the next objective. Starting from the right corner of the next row of houses and working to the left you will come to this item first.

 

Gallery 5 - Use the Haz-mat power-up to roll around in the ink and paint the buildings. Press the brown button to advance the level. Climb to one of the upper levels and hi-jack an enemy vehicle. You want the one going clockwise. The first item you can reach is the Gallery item we skipped earlier. Jump over to collect it.

 

antoniosbandana adds a bit more info: To get up, take the elevator to the upper level, go left to get on the blue tower to find the boat going clockwise. Also, the boats will stack one on top of the other. The clockwise-traveling boat is the one below the other.

 

Gallery 6 – Now, just ride around back to the next objective. Once there, head to the left and break open the first two crates you come to for this item.

 

Lightbulb 5 – In the middle of the upper area is a statue. To the right of the statue on an elevated platform are a couple more crates. Break them open for this item.

 

Lightbulb 6 – Enter the next building and you will automatically collect this bulb when you jump over the first gap.

 

Lightbulb 7 - Transform the building and return outside. Go to the next objective and defeat the enemies however you like. Once all 3 waves are finished, return to the front entrance and let’s work clockwise around this area. Climb the rooftops on the left near the red extra life and pan the camera around to see this bulb on a lower roof hidden by one of the taller buildings.

 

Style 3 – Directly above lightbulb 7, you will find 2 crates on the roof. Break them for this item.

 

Lightbulb 8 - Now use wall run to help make your way up to the platform with the wrecking ball power-up. Jump up one more level from there to collect this bulb at the highest point.

 

Lightbulb 9 - Go ahead and enter the next building now. You will automatically run into this bulb as you progress.

 

Style 4 - Transform the building and return outside. Head to the next objective marker and then down the ramp on the left. On top of the buildings at the bottom of the ramp are a couple of crates. Break them open for your prize.

 

Gallery 7 – After pressing the button to turn on the gravity wall, pan the camera to the left to see this item in plain view on a nearby island.

 

Lightbulb 10 - Now use the gravity wall to reach the next section. At the top of the wall, pop over the edge to grab this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 11 - Tag the next objective marker and drop down to find 3 crates lined up near the Haz-mat power-up. Break the crates for this item.

 

Lightbulb 12 - Use the Haz-mat item to reach the orange and green buttons and then move to the next objective. Paint the buildings and enter the main building. Ride the elevator down one level and head to the left for this easy bulb.

 

Style 5 - Transform the building and then walk around the same building to use the pipe to reach the next objective. Work your way over to the green button to find this item tucked away in the corner.

 

Lightbulb 13 - Press the green button and while walking over to the orange button you should see an opening in the side wall. Climb up and look over the opposite edge for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 14 - Press the orange button to drain the ink and fill the color pools. Now from the orange button continue clockwise around the area and you will reach 4 crates with spikes on top. Smash them for this item.

 

Lightbulb 15 - Continue clockwise and you will reach a yellow pool. There is a water tank on a nearby roof. Head toward the tank and you should see this bulb in the back corner.

 

Style 6 - Resume the clockwise motion to find this item sitting in plain view.

 

Lightbulb 16 – Yes, we keep going clockwise. You will come to some more spiked crates. Dash through them for this bulb.

 

Style 7 - Activate the next objective (if you haven’t already) and climb the gravity wall. Load the fuel and continue to climb the tower. Once on top, enter the hole. Progress until you use the cannon to fly through the air while grabbing some color atoms and land at a blue button. You should be able to see the top of this item below so drop down to get it.

 

Gallery 8 - Keep working through the level and you will use a power-up to dash through a big line of enemies. Then you will use a cannon to shoot downwards. Use another cannon to shoot upwards. DO NOT use the next cannon. Instead walk past it for now and climb the gravity wall on the right. Kill the 2 minions and use the next gravity wall on the left. Walk to the right and you will run into this item automatically.

 

Lightbulb 17 – From gallery 8, drop down the hole on the right to collect this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 18 - Use the cannons and press the remaining buttons to exit the building. Head to the next objective marker and activate it. Press the 6 buttons and move to the control tower. Head to the top and use the transformation engine to stop the clock. DO NOT talk to Pinky yet. Instead, jump over the edge of the walkway leading to the rocket. Use should land near a Z-pad with a shield on top of it. Use this Z-pad to bounce to the lightbulb.

 

Gallery 9 – At this point you are sitting on the mid level of an outer tower. Drop back down to the Z-pad that we used to get here. Now go clockwise and straight down the road and you will run into a water tank on the single story rooftop. Jump onto that platform and look down into the water and you should see an island all by itself. Swim over to it to find this well hidden item behind the rock.

 

Lightbulbs 19 through 29 - Now go ahead and complete the green challenges in this area. Use your compass to run around and find them all now. Note that there are two items that we will be picking up DURING the challenges so read the next entries below so you don’t have to redo something.

Lightbulb 30 - You will get a challenge about surfing. Paint the buildings and press the button to drain the ink. You will then be able to swim out to one of the distant islands to find this bulb.

 

Gallery 10 – After completing the surfing challenge, swim around the area to find 3 pipes coming out of the cliff side with a platform on top. Underneath that platform in the water is this hidden item.

Hypno Ray

 

This level is unlike any other due to the fact that you cannot do any backtracking after stopping the timer. It goes straight into the ending. EVERYTHING needs to be done at once or you will be replaying the level to recollect anything you missed. Due to that fact, I will be giving you the cut-off amounts to the citizens, trees and breakable items as well. This way (and assuming that you have done everything else the way I’ve outlined in the previous 11 guides) you will receive a parade of trophies upon completing this level. It all ends here, so let’s wrap this game up!

 

Lightbulbs = 10

As always, if you are playing on Normal, keep the timer in mind. It is not as critical as the previous levels but you should still keep an eye on it. As long as you enter the final boss fight with at least one second left you will be alright because the timer stops at that point. On Easy, the timer remains a non-issue.

 

Style 1 - You start the level in your ship cockpit so drop down and head to the right to exit the ship. When you land outside of the first rocket, you should see this item directly behind you so go grab it.

 

Style 2 - Proceed to the objective marker and activate it. Use the Z-pad to bounce to the first asteroid. When you land you should see this to your right.

 

Style 3 - Paint the asteroid to unlock the next Z-pad and use it to launch to the second asteroid. When you land you should see this item on your left.

 

Style 4 - Paint the asteroid to unlock the next Z-pad and use it to launch to a spaceship. You will have a choice to free the people or continue on. Free the people by jumping off the side of the ship toward the dome. DO NOT use the Z-pad to continue on or you will miss items. Activate the green challenge and pan the camera 180 to see the buildings behind you. Jump over the small rooftop to be by the outer glass edge of the dome and you should see this collectible behind the taller building.

 

Lightbulb 1 – Go counter clockwise from style 4 and you will come to 3 crates. Smash them all for this item.

 

Lightbulb 2 – Continue counter clockwise around the exterior of the dome and you will come to 3 more crates. Smash them all as well for this bulb.

 

Gallery 1 – Now follow the objective marker to the lift that is rising up and down. When you grab the blue paint you should also automatically collect this item too.

 

Gallery 2 - Press the blue button and defeat the Inkies, paint the buildings and free all the people. As you are freeing the people there will be 2 or 3 slaves up on a high rooftop by 2 small smoke stacks. This item is on the same roof as the smoke stacks.

Checkpoint - BEFORE hitting the green button in the middle of the dome, pause the game and check your progress. If you have everything so far, your stats will look like this:

  • Liberation - 23/49
  • Environment - 4/13
  • Clean Up - 11/26
  • Lightbulbs - 2/10
  • Gallery – 2/8
  • Style – 4/10

If you don’t have these numbers; run around and paint the trees, smash the crates or free the remaining citizens until you do. Once you have everything, hit the green button to launch the explosives into space. Ride to the top, collect all the color atoms and use the transformation engine.

 

Lightbulb 3 - You will find yourself on the outside of the first dome. After the short scene, you will get this bulb automatically.

 

Gallery 3 - DO NOT use the Z-pad just yet. Instead roll to the bottom of the dome to find this item. Jump over the “edge” at the bottom and just roll along the edge until you find it.

 

Style 5 - Return to the top and use the Z-pad to reach the next asteroid. Activate the next objective and you should see this object while painting the asteroid. Don’t forget to grab it before leaving this asteroid.

 

Style 6 - Use the Z-pad to launch to another small ship. Leap to the rotating platform and head to the left to use the nearby Z-pad to launch to another vessel. Use the Haz-mat item to run around and collect all the color atoms. Once the spikes disappear, use the Z-pad to reach the next asteroid. Find the hole and enter it. Complete the small puzzle inside, grab the purple paint and return to the exterior. Paint the asteroid and once the flame traps disappear, grab this item.

 

Gallery 4 - Use the Z-pad to launch to another small ship. Once again you have a choice to make and once again we want to free the slaves. DO NOT use the Z-pad to continue. Jump toward the glass dome and make your way to the green challenge marker. On the opposite group of buildings, you should see this item sitting between the large smoke stack and the 3 small pipes. Climb up to collect it.

 

Gallery 5 - Drop off the back of this building and go counter clockwise to come to 3 crates. Smash them for this item.

 

Style 7 - Continue going counter clockwise to find 3 more crates. They contain this item.

Checkpoint - Now defeat the remaining enemies and press the green button. More guys drop in but so does a rainbow power-up. Use that to make short work of this group and quickly paint the buildings at the same time. BEFORE hitting the green button in the middle of the dome, pause the game and check your progress. If you have everything so far, your stats will look like this:

  • Liberation - 40/49
  • Environment - 7/13
  • Clean Up - 20/26
  • Lightbulbs - 3/10

Gallery 6 - DO NOT use the Z-pad just yet. Instead roll to the bottom of the dome to find this item. Jump over the “edge” at the bottom and this time roll along the edge of the gray rocks until you find it.

 

Style 8 - Return to the top and use the Z-pad to reach the next asteroid. You will see this item just to your left when you land. Go ahead and grab it.

 

Style 9 - Activate the next objective and enter the hole. Complete the small puzzle inside and fill up with green paint and return outside. Paint the asteroid and use the Z-pad to launch past a couple of ships until you land on another trapped vessel. Once again, use the Haz-mat power-up to collect the color atoms to deactivate the flame traps. Use the piston jump to reach the next asteroid and head inside the hole. Complete the puzzle, fill up on orange paint and return outside to use it on the asteroid. Once the electricity traps are gone be sure to grab this item BEFORE leaving the asteroid.

 

Style 10 - Continue through the level until you reach the third dome. For the third time, choose to save the citizens. DO NOT use the Z-pad to continue. Jump toward the glass dome and make your way to the green challenge marker. Paint all the people on the platform and you should get the Liberation Gold Medal. Pan the camera around and you should see this item sitting right in the open. Jump over to collect the last style bonus of the GAME!

 

Lightbulb 5 – From this rooftop, drop to the exterior and dash through the Spiky in front of you. Smash the nearby crates and paint the nearby trees then continue clockwise. You will come to another Spiky so dash through him too. Paint the trees and smash the nearby crates for this bulb.

 

Lightbulb 6 – Go behind the next building along the edge of the dome to find this bulb sitting in plain view.

 

Lightbulb 7 - Continue clockwise and paint the next 2 trees for the Environment Gold Medal. Resume the clockwise motion and you will find two crates behind the platform the houses the brown button. Break them both for the bulb and the Clean Up Gold Medal.

Gallery 7 - Now we need to mix up some brown paint. While doing so you will come to the yellow Paintbot on an upper walkway. On the nearby rooftop you should see this item near some small smoke stacks and just out of reach. Drop down and press the brown button. Defeat the enemies, paint the buildings and press the orange button to raise the explosives. Now, collect the color atoms but DO NOT transform the dome just yet. Instead, orient yourself so you can see the item, drop down to the nearby moving platform and then jump over to collect the item.

Checkpoint - BEFORE using the transformation engine, pause the game and check your progress. If you have everything so far, your stats will look like this:

  • Liberation - 49/49
  • Environment - 13/13
  • Clean Up - 26/26
  • Lightbulbs - 7/10
  • Gallery – 7/8
  • Style – 10/10

If you don’t have these numbers; run around and paint the trees, smash the crates or free the remaining citizens until you do. Once you have everything, return to the top and transform the final dome.

 

Lightbulb 8 - You will find yourself on the outside of the third and final dome. After the short scene, you will get this bulb automatically.

 

Gallery 8 - DO NOT use the Z-pad just yet. Instead roll to the bottom of the dome to find this item. Jump over the “edge” at the bottom and this time roll along the edge of the gray rocks until you find it. This is the final gallery image in the GAME!

 

Lightbulb 9 – You guessed it, return to the top and Z-pad away. Tag the next objective marker and jump to the rotating platform. Mix up some orange paint and enter the center hole. Make your way through the level and defeat the 2 different groups of turrets. While mixing up the brown paint you should see this bulb in the middle of the room. Work your way around to the top and then drop down to collect it.

 

Lightbulb 10 – You will be forced to shoot through some blue spraying jets to proceed. Continue climbing the tower and you will see this as you zip past on the next set of Z-pads. Use them to reach the top and then drop of the right side and land on the ledge below for the final bulb and collectible of the GAME!!!

 

Proceed through the level and defeat the final boss. There are some basic tips in the trophy guide under the description for “Hypno Ray destroyed” if you need help. CONGRATULATIONS!!

 

Level score before the final boss fight: 1,000,000 something (sorry I missed the exact amount, you should be fine though)

Level score after bonuses: 1,388,196 for “S” Class

 

If this is your first playthrough and you have done EVERYTHING as outlined in the Roadmap and the 12 collectible guides, AFTER the credits roll, you will unlock the following trophies at the final score tally screen:

  • Hypno Ray destroyed
  • The People’s Hero
  • INKT smasher
  • Nature Lover
  • Totally Inspired
  • Every picture
  • INKT informed
  • Nothing but the best
  • Keepin’ it real
  • Medal of Color
