Dark Souls 3 is the 4th game in the Souls series, and the last. You play as an Unkindled Ash, and you are set to find and return the 4 Lords of Cinder to their thrones in Firelink Shrine. The Abyss Watchers, Yhorm the Giant, Aldritch and Prince Lothric to link the flame once again. Dark Souls is renowned for being hard, and this game is no exception. The first few bosses start out easy, but things drastically scale near the end. The game is brilliant, so expect nothing but an enjoyable experience on your way to the platinum.

As far as the platinum goes, it's like the past Souls games; you have to defeat all the bosses, and collect every available spell, miracle, ring, pyromancy and gesture. That will be the bulk of the platinum. You also need to do 3 playthroughs. Unlike the past games, the +1 and +2 variation of rings don't spawn until new game+ and new game++. This isn't so bad, when you think about the amount of missables in the game. The game can also be completed fairly quickly if you just focus on the Lords of Cinder.

Missables!

  • Rosaria and Sirris' have conflicting questlines. If at any point in the game, you join Rosaria's Fingers, then Sirris' will spawn into Firelink Shrine and say how you aren't friends anymore. The best thing to do, is leave Rosaria until later in the game. Sirris' has the "Darkmoon Loyalty" gesture and "Silver Cat Ring". Get both of these from her questline, and you never have to worry about this again.
  • To get Yuria to appear in Firelink Shrine, you must accept the 5 free levels from Yoel before the Abyss Watchers. To get the 4 free levels after the first, keep killing yourself. Every other time you die, you get a free level.
  • Three NPCs give you Gestures. You must summon them while the Abyss Watcher's are still alive. One requires 5 dark sigils (recieved from Yoel), one requires nothing to appear and the other, Heyzel is a bit more complicated. Refer to the guide for more info.
  • Siegward's and Anri's questlines are missable, make sure that you are checking the locations where he is at in the gestures related to him.

b8NQGDR.png

Step 1: Play through the game, kill all bosses, farm covenant items, get as many gestures, rings, sorceries, pyromancies and miracles as possible. Get the "To Link the First Flame" Ending

Note: Don't consume boss souls! It might be tempting to, but you will need to trade a few of them for a ring or a spell with Ludleth. If you struggle with any of the bosses, get an online summon. Make sure you're in ember form and just look for summon signs on the floor near bonfires by boss rooms. I recommend just summoning one player, don't summon anymore. Bosses get a 50% health boost per phantom you have with you.

The first step is to pretty much just play the game, and enjoy it for what it is. Explore as much as you can so you can pick up rings, spells etc as possible. Pretty much all of the rings are out in the world, apart from 2 which come from questlines and around 7 that come from merchants. As this is your first playthrough, I don't recommend following a guide until you get to the end of the game. Once all 4 Lords of Cinder are dead, don't continue any further, instead clean up everything you can. Reason being is the game gets harder each new Game+ so you want to do as little playthroughs as you can.

Go and join all the covenants. You will be able to join all of them, except maybe the Blade of the Darkmoon if you didn't get the "Darkmoon Loyalty" gesture from Sirris'. If she doesn't let you join then you will need to just kill her and pick up the covenant item. Don't worry, she'll respawn in New Game+ and you'll just have to farm them next playthrough. Farm all the covenant items with them. You need to get to Rank 2 (30) with Warriors of Sunlight, Mound Makers, Watchdogs of Farron and Blade of the Darkmoon. You need to get to Rank 1 (10) with Rosaria's Fingers and Aldritch Faithful. You can do PVP for a good few of them, which involves invading and killing the host in another world. But, most of it will be farming. A farming method ha been outlined next to each covenant. You will want to max your item discovery for this. To max it out as much as possible, wear the Symbol of Avarice head (random drop from Mimics), off-hand the Crystal Rapier, equip the gold covetous serpent ring use gold rusted coins and put a few points into the luck skill.

The only covenant you really want to make sure you finish in this playthrough is Rosaria's Fingers. This covenant messes with Sirris' questline. The others, you can leave till New Game+ if you really want to. Make sure you do Leonhard's questline this playthrough as well as it involves joining Rosaria's Fingers. Refer to the "Bountiful Sunlight" miracle within the Master of Miracles trophy for more info.

Once you are ready to go into new game+, put all the Lords of Cinder heads on the thrones and go fight the final boss. once he is dead, kindle the bonfire here for the "To Link the First Flame" ending.

Step 2: Complete the game in New Game+, Sirris' and Siegward's Questline, collect all New Game+ rings and get the "The End of Fire" Ending

New Game+ has a few notable differences, but nothing major. Enemies and bosses become a little more aggressive, and use a few moves they wouldn't often use in the playthrough before. The main change is that there are now 21 +1 rings in the game. You want to pick all these up this playthrough, as well as any ring, spell etc you may have missed before.

The main part of this step will be doing the NPC questlines that give you gestures, rings and spells. You need to progress far enough in a fair amount of them. There are; Siegward, Sirris, Anri and Greirat. The other NPCs in the game will give you gestures for talking to them, or buying a certain amount of spells etc. Just make sure you do all of those. You will be doing Anri's questline in New Game++ so don't worry about that for now. Very few of the questlines actually fail by advancing too far. That means you can leave an NPC standing there for the whole game without them randomly disappearing.

This playthrough, focus on Siegward/Patche's and Sirris' questlines. Those are the two main ones, and they are the two missable ones. Below is a small roadmap on how to to do it.

Siegward, Patches and Sirris Questline Guide

Step 1: You can first find Siegward by the elevator in the Undead Settlement. Exhaust his dialogue.

Step 2: He will move up the tower. Head up towards the giant, but roll off halfway when you hear him say "Hmmm". Help him kill the Demon and then talk to him. He will give you the "Toast" gesture. He will then fall asleep, talk to him again to get the "Sleep" gesture.

Step 3: Talk to Anri at the Halfway Fortress bonfire. This will trigger Sirris' to spawn in Firelink Shrine for the first time. Exhaust her dialogue. Now, go to the Old Wolf of Farron bonfire and get the dream chaser ashes behind the illusionary wall. Give them to the handmaiden, tell her where you got them. Now reload the area and Sirris' will be here. Talk to her and you'll get the "Darkmoon Loyalty" gesture.

Step 4: Defeat the Deacons of the Deep, at the Cathedral of the Deep and open the main door to the cathedral. Now, go back to the Cleansing Chapel bonfire and go to the well just by it. Siegward will be trapped in here and somebody has stolen his armor.

Step 5: Return to Firelink Shrine, and go to the tower if you haven't already (Requires Tower key from Handmaiden). Patches will lock you in here. Roll down the coffins to get out or use a homeward bone. Now, Patches can be found in Firelink Shrine up at the top where the exit to the tower is. Talk to him, and DO NOT forgive him. This will give you the "Prostration" Gesture. Buy Siegward's armor rom him.

Step 6: Return to Siegward in the well, and chuck his armor down there for him. This will give you the "Rejoice" gesture. You know have all possible gestures from Siegward! Return to Firelink Shrine and Patches should be sitting down. Talk to him to get "Patches Squat" gesture. You are now free to kill Patches for his "Horsehoof Ring" as you'll no longer need him.

Step 7: When you first get to the Irthyll of the Boreal Valley, go down to the "Central Irthyll" bonfire. Now fast travel back to the first bonfire in this area and go back onto the bridge. Sirris' will have a summon sign here. Go into her world, and help her defeat the dark spirit. Return to Firelink Shrine to get the "Silver Cat Ring".

Step 8: You can now find Siegward in the Kitchen on your way to Pontiff Sullyvahn in the Irthyll of the Boreal Valley. Make sure you go and see him as soon as you get to the Boreal Valley. Go straight to him and don't detour. If you end up going to the distant manor and beyond you'll end up skipping him. Exhaust his dialogue to get the "Emit Force" miracle, as well as the "Toast" and "Sleep" gesture if you missed them in step 2.

For a guide on all the sidequests in the game, you can refer to the Dark Souls wiki.

http://darksouls3.wiki.fextralife.com/Side+Quests

Once you are ready to go into new game+, get the Firekeeper Eyes from the Untended Graves area if you haven't already. Once you get them, give them to the Firekeeper. When you defeat the last boss, don't kindlke the fire. instead, summon the Firekeeper next to the bonfire to get the "The End of Fire" ending.

Step 3: Complete the game in New Game++, collect all New Game++ rings and get the "The Usurpation if Fire" Ending

You should now only be missing:

  • All 16 +2 (Including Life Ring +3) Rings.
  • Yuria's 3 Rings (If you never got them in your last playthroughs).
  • Usurpation of Fire Ending.
  • Pale Shade Londor NPC Summon Gesture - Refer to the trophy guide.
  • Yellow Finger Heysel NPC Summon Gesture - Refer to the trophy guide.
  • Black Hand Gotthard NPC Summon Gesture - Refer to the trophy guide.
  • A few remaining spells, miracles etc.
  • Questlines you may have missed out on.

You may be missing some more, but don't worry. Just focus on it in this playthrough. You will want to get the "Usurpation of Fire ending. This ending is very long compared to the other two, and you can easily mess things up. I have included a full written walkthrough, and video, within the trophy guide for this. There are also 16 rings that will only be available in New Game++ here and you want to pick those up. None of them are missable.

The Dark Soul (P)

Acquire all trophies.

Unlock all other 42 trophies for this. Praise the sun!

a87.jpg  To Link the First Flame (G)(H)

Reach "To Link the First Flame" ending.

To Link The First Flame is one of the endings in Dark Souls 3. Once you beat the Soul of Cinder, interact with the bonfire and select "yes" to link the first flame that will trigger a cutscene and the trophy will unlock just before the credits. There are no prerequisites for this ending. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below.

4da.jpg  The End of Fire (G)(H)

Reach "The End of Fire" ending.

The End of Fire is one of the endings in Dark Souls 3. There's a few steps to getting this ending, unlike the first ending. The first step, you need to get the eyes from the "Untended Graves" area (if you need help in reaching this area, please refer to (S) Untended Graves). You now want to head into the Firelink Shrine and go to where Blacksmith Andre usually is. Take a right, and go down the corridor and hit the illusory wall ahead of you. Hit it and it'll disappear, the eyes are on a body in front of you.

Head back to the hub area Firelink Shrine and give the eyes to the Firekeeper. The music in Firelnk Shrine will now change. The last step is to now get to the end and defeat the Soul of Cinder. Once he has been defeated, do not interact with the bonfire. Instead, interact with the summon sign next to it. This will summon the firekeeper to trigger a cutscene. There is a trick that you can do during the last 8 seconds of the cutscene where you can attack the Firekeeper. Do not do this, as it'll give you a different ending and the trophy will not unlock. For a visual walkthrough on how to get this ending, please refer to the video below:

dac.jpg  The Usurpation of Fire (G)(H)

Reach "The Usurpation of Fire" ending.

The Usurpation of Fire is one of the endings in Dark Souls 3, and involves becoming the Lord of Hollows. This is a very lengthy quest, and involves 3 NPC questlines. Yoel of Londor, Yuria of Londor and Anri of Astora. You can easily miss things, and this ending is very missable. Here's a complete walkthrough below on how to do it:

  • Step 1 - Talk to Yoel at the Undead Village
Yoel can be found just after the High Wall bonfire (as soon as you defeat Vordt and get carried down to the Settlement). Head down the stairs, and then turn around. There's a bunch of pilgrims here, and one of them will be still alive. This is Yoel. Recruit him and he'll teleport to Firelink Shrine.
  • Step 2 - Level up with Yoel a total of 5 times
Yoel can be found down the corridor to the left of Blacksmith Andre. Go up to him, and select the option to draw out true strength. This will give you a level up, for free. But it will also give you the "Dark Sigil". This will make you hollow. You can check the status of it under the soul level in the player status screen. Once it reaches 15, you will look like beef jerky. That's the only thing that will happen though, there's no truly negative side effects. Now, to level with Yoel more times you have to keep dying. This can be done by throwing yourself off the edge of Firelink Shrine or by just naturally playing the game. Every two times you die, Yoel will have a level up for you. You need to level with Yoel a total of 5 times. You MUST do this before the Abyss Watchers or Yoel just dies and you won't be able to get Yuria to show up. Yuria will show once you level with Yoel 5 times and replace him. You can talk to her if you like, as she becomes a merchant.
  • Step 3 - Talk to Anri of Astora at the Road of Sacrifices
Anri of Astora is the third NPC that is involved in this questline, and the main one. Depending on your characters gender, Anri will be the opposite. He/she can be found at the "Halfway Fortress". Exhaust his/her dialogue.
  • Step 4 - Talk to Anri at Firelink Shrine
After you defeat the Deacons of the Deep, Anri can be found in Firelink shrine on the staircase to the left of the main throne. Go up to him/her and exhaust all dialogue.
  • Step 5 - Talk to Anri in the Catacombs of Carthus
Anri can be found in a corridor just before the steps with the rolling skeleton ball. He/she will tell you that Horrace has been seperated from him/her and asks if you have seen him. Exhaust all dialogue before proceeding any further.
  • Step 6 - Talk to Anri again later on in Catacombs of Carthus
Anri will be to the right of the bridge that breaks when all the skeletons run over it, just before High Lord Wolnir. She will ask again about Horrace. You now want to bait the skeletons along the bridge to break or, or hit the bridge with a weapon to break it yourself. You want to climb down it, to reach the lake area. Head to the right once you reach the lake and through a small cave on your right. Horrace is down here. You need to kill him as he has gone mad. Make sure you do kill him, and not leave him there.
  • Step 7 - Talk to Anri in the Irthyll of the Boreal Valley
In the next zone, you can fine Anri by the "Church of Yorshka" bonfire. He/she will be right next to the bonfire. Talk to him/her to obtain a gesture. Exhaust all dialogue options before proceeding. There might be some notes on the floor by a statue saying to attack it. DO NOT ATTACK IT. One of Yuria's assistants is disguised as a statue, and attacking it will fail this ending. You really don't need to worry about this, just don't attack the statues in the corner of the church.
  • Step 8 - Talk to Yuria after defeating Pontiff Sullyvahn
Once you defeat the area boss Pontiff Sullyvahn, return to Firelink Shrine and talk to Yuria. Keep talking to her until she says that your spouse is ready. She'll tell you to go to the Darkmoon Tomb below Anor Londo.
  • Step 9 - Go to Darkmoon Tomb below Anor Londo and start the wedding ceremony
Darkmoon Tomb can be found just before the staircase elevator leading up to Anor Londo. Talk to the pilgrim just outside the door. She will give you a sword, which you need to complete the wedding ceremony. Go to the very end of the tomb and interact with Anri's body. A cutscene will play out and you'll stab the sword into Anri. Once this step is done, the usurpation ending will be set in stone.
  • Step 10 - Return to Yuria
Talk to Yuria again at Firelink Shrine. She'll tell you about your vows, among other things. Now, you must NOT cure your dark sigil. You have to keep it until the ending is done. Do not kill Yuria either, as obvious as that is. The Firekeeper is the one who can cure your dark sigil.
  • Step 11 - Kindle the fire at the end of the game
Just like you did in the "To Link the First Flame" ending. Defeat the Soul of Cinder and interact with the bonfire at the end of the game. You'll get a cutscene, and if you take the flame and put it into your chest, you have got the right ending. The trophy will unlock just before the credits.

a9e.jpg  Lords of Cinder: Abyss Watchers (S)(H)

Defeat the Abyss Watchers, Lords of Cinder.

Boss Location: Farron Keep, Road of Sacrifices

Optional: No, story related.

Recommended Level: 30

They abyss watchers are the first Lord of Cinder you will be facing against. They can be found beyond the big locked door in the Farron keep. To open this door, you will need to extinguish all three of the flame towers around the swamp. Once that's done, the Abyss Watchers can be found in the building up ahead. They are fairly easier to beat, you just have to be good at dodging and knowing when to attack. The fight has two phases. Phase 1, you will be fighting up to 3 Abyss Watchers. You'll have the main one, who when damaged will take away the boss health bar. Then, you have two others who act as normal enemies but they have the same move sets. The good thing is, the Abyss Watchers will attack each other. So, if there are 3 of them running about try and run away from them. Eventually one of the others will start attacking another, then all of them will be attacking each other. Use this to your advantage.

Once dead, you will enter phase 2. The souls of the Abyss Watchers will all merge into one. The main guy will have his health back to full again. He will have a new move set entirely, and have a lot more combos. This is where the fight can get dangerous if you are caught in a combo. He will be very aggressive and won't usually give you time to get away and heal. His attacks will also deal flame damage, so if your shield doesn't have a flame resistance then you will take damage from his hits, if using a shield. Just roll out the way of his attacks like you did in the first phase. It'll only be him, there won't be other Abyss watchers. If you happen to die, you will have to fight them from the beginning again. For a visual walkthrough on the boss, you can refer to the video below:

115.jpg  Lord of Cinder: Yhorm the Giant (S)(H)

Defeat Yhorm the Giant, Lord of Cinder.

Boss Location: Profaned Capital, Irthyll Dungeon

Optional: No, story related.

Recommended Level: 40

You can find this boss at the very bottom of the Irthyll Dungeon, in an area called Profaned Capital. Yhorm the Giant might seem scary at first, but he is very easy to beat. In the boss room there is a weapon next to his throne called "Storm Ruler". You want to pick this up, and use this weapon on him only. The weapon has zero stat requirements so any build will be able to use it effectively. Once you have it equipped, you want to use it's weapon art. Hold down :r2: until you see the sword charge up (wind will be circling the blade). Once you see this, wait until Yhorm is close and then while holding :l2: press :r2: to unleash a whirlwind at Yhorm. It'll take 1/5 of his health off. Just keep doing this until he dies, just be mindful of his attacks and choose the times to charge the Storm Ruler up wisely. For a visual walkthrough on the boss, you can refer to the video below:

475.jpg  Lord of Cinder: Aldritch, Devourer of Gods (S)(H)

Defeat Aldritch, Devourer of Gods, Lord of Cinder.

Boss Location: Anor Londo, Irythll of the Boreal Valley

Optional: No, story related.

Recommended Level: 40

This boss will look familiar if you have played Dark Souls 1, so will the boss fight arena. Aldritch is actually a fairly simple fight and in my opinion the easiest. He will slide around the room using spells if you are far away, or use bow attacks. These are hard to avoid so try and stay as close as possible to him as you can. Aldritch is a long worm like creature, and the best place to attack him is the back of his body. This way, you are pretty much out of reach of this scythe attacks as well as the damage that his teleportation does. Keep using this strategy, run around the room so you get as close as possible to him. Then when he teleports away, run to the furthest point from you and he should spawn nearby. This will prevent most of his magic.

For phase 2, he'll use pretty much the same attacks. Except his magic and bow attacks are much more deadly. If you see him drawing his bow, you want to run around the arena as quick as you can. It'll rain arrows for a good 8 seconds or so and if you get caught underneath it, then it's instant death. As long as you stay near him you shouldn't have to worry about this attack at all. For a visual walkthrough on the boss, you can refer to the video below:

27a.jpg  Lord of Cinder: Lothric, Younger Prince (S)(H)

Defeat Lothric, Younger Prince, Lord of Cinder.

Boss Location: Lothric Castle

Optional: No, story related.

Recommended Level: 60

Lorian, Elder Prince and Lothric, Younger prince are on of the hardest bosses to beat in the game. The fight is very tough, if you aren't a tank with a great shield. If you aren't a tank or ranged build I do recommend using a summon for this fight. For phase 1, you will just be fighting Lorian. He teleports around A LOT and this makes things annoying as you'll lose your lock on him, and he can get a cheap shot at you from behind. The best strategy is to keep circling him, baiting an attack, then hitting him once or twice. If he teleports far away, he'll charge up a slam which will send a shockwave across the floor. If you see him doing this, stand still and then dodge just as the sword is about to slam the floor. This shockwave does devastating damage to you.

Once he is dead, phase 2 will start. Now, Lothric joins in the fight. He'll be on Lorian's back and you'll have two boss health bars to deal with. This is where the fight gets very intense. Lorian will try to teleport far away from you a lot, and this will cause Lothric to you all sorts of magic attacks. Avoiding these attacks, and Lorian's sword attacks is difficult. You want to try and get to Lorian as quickly as you can when he teleports away to prevent this, but it'll all be down to luck. Once you get Lorian's health bar to zero, Lothric will stand over his body and revive him. if you don't kill him as he is doing this revive then Lorian is going to be revived with 60% of his life back. This is why it's very important to attack Lothric mainly during the second phase. But, that's easier said than done when Lorian keeps teleporting and turning around. This fight is mainly an endurance because of how long it takes to beat him. Once Lothric is dead, then the boss fight will finish. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below. I was using a summon to switch the aggro, as my build just wasn't suited for him at the time:

378.jpg  Supreme Weapon Reinforcement (S)

Reinforce any weapon to the highest level.

To reinforce a weapon to the highest level, you need to get it to +10. Some special weapons can only get to +5, and this will not unlock the trophy. You can reinforce a weapon with the Blacksmith in Firelink Shrine. You need to use titanite on the weapons that go up to +10.

986.jpg  Master of Infusion (S)

Perform all forms of infusion.

There are 15 forms of weapon infusion (and one for removing an infusion which is required for the trophy). You can infuse weapons with Blacksmith Andre at Firelink Shrine. First, you need to find coals however. Once you have the coal you bring it to Andre and you'll get more infusion options For a video showing the locations of all 4 coals, click

. Each coal will allow the following infusions:

Coal

  • Farron's Coal - Sharp, Heavy and Poison
  • Sage's Coal - Blessed, Crystal and Deep
  • Giant's Coal - Lightning, Simple and Chaos
  • Profane Coal - Blood, Hollow and Dark

To actually infuse a gem into a weapon though, you need to find the gem for it. You can find gems all over the game world, and some of them drop from crystal lizards. Here's a list of all 15:

Gems

  • Refined Gem
  • Raw Gem
  • Fire Gem
  • Heavy Gem
  • Sharp Gem
  • Poison Gem
  • Crystal Gem
  • Blessed Gem
  • Deep Gem
  • Dark Gem
  • Blood Gem
  • Hollow Gem
  • Lightning Gem
  • Simple Gem
  • Chaos Gem

Once you have put all of these gems into weapons, at least once, the trophy will unlock. You do not need to use the weapon or upgrade it.

4ea.jpg  Master of Sorceries (S)

Acquire all sorceries.

MISSABLE!

Note: If you happen to sell a spell, then do not worry. In order to meet the requirements for this trophy, you do not need to have every spell all at once, just as long as you've had it at some point.

There are 34 sorceries you need to get for the trophy. Pretty much all of them come from vendors, but to get some vendors to sell them you need to find scrolls. Giving a scroll to certain merchants will unlock more sorceries to buy. Here are the locations of all the scrolls.

Scrolls

Sage's Scroll - This scroll can be found in Farron Keep, located in the Road of Sacrifices. Go to the Keep Ruins bonfire and head down the stone ramp in front of you. Take a left and go towards the wall. There is a group of dead mushroom people and you can find the scroll on one of their bodies.

Golden Scroll - This scroll can be found in Farron Keep, located in the Road of Sacrifices. Go to the Farron Keep bonfire and keep going to your right in the swamp. You will soon encounter those frog like enemies. There is a cave on the right, head in here to find the scroll.

Logan's Scroll - You can find this scroll in the poison swamp area of the Profaned Capital. This is the area where you get a few rings, and where you get the key to free Karla. Kill the sorcerer on the roof of the main building down here and he will drop it upon death.

Crystal Scroll - Kill the Crystal Sage in the Grand Archives, it will be dropped upon his death.

Vendors

Orbeck of Vinheim- To get her available as a merchant, you must first reach the Crystal Sage boss in the Road of Sacrifices. From where you fight him, head back into the building. before you go over the bridge to the other building, take a right and go around and up the stairs. You can find Orbeck up here. He will say as a merchant here if you don't have 10 intelligence. If you do have 10+ he will teleport back to Firelink Shrine. You will be able to find him to the right of Blacksmith Andre.

Karla - To get her available as a merchant, you need to reach the Irthyll Dungeon area. She can be found locked in a cell at the very bottom of the dungeon (with the 6+ jailers walking around). To get the key to open her cell, you need to proceed further until you reach the "Profaned Capital". From here, roll off the edge of the tower and go down towards the toxic swamp area. Down here, is a ladder leading up to a building. Climb this ladder and head around the building, then up the stairs. You'll see the giant on your right. At the end of the corridor is the Jailers Key. Go back to Karla and free her.

Sorceries

Soul Arrow - Can be bought from Orbeck of Vinheim, Yuria or the handmaiden.

Great Soul Arrow - Can be bought from Orbeck of Vinheim.

Heavy Soul Arrow - Can be bought from Orbeck of Vinheim or Yuria.

Great Heavy Soul Arrow - Can be bought from Orbeck of Vinheim.

Farron Dart - Can be bought from Orbeck of Vinheim, or the handmaiden.

68f.jpg  Master of Pyromancies (S)

Acquire all pyromancies.

Note: If you happen to sell a spell, then do not worry. In order to meet the requirements for this trophy, you do not need to have every spell all at once, just as long as you've had it at some point.

There are 27 pyromancies you need to get for the trophy. Pretty much all of them come from vendors, but to get some vendors to sell them you need to find tomes. Giving a tome to certain merchants will unlock more pyromancies to buy. Here are the locations of all 5 tomes.

Tomes

Great Swamp Pyromancy Tome - Head to the Halfway Fortress bonfire, which is in Road of Sacrifices area. proceed to the watery area with trees and a few giant crabs. You can find the tome in the lake area by the giant crab. It is just by a tree closest to the stone wall, on a corpse

Carthus Pyromancy Tome - From the Abyss Watchers bonfire, head down into the Catacombs of Carthus and go halfway along the bridge. You can fall down on the left to a platform below. You can find the tome in the room this platform leads to on a corpse.

Izalith Pyromancy Tome - Head to the Abandoned Tomb bonfire in the Catacombs of Carthus. Head north-east over the smouldering lake until you see what looks like a breakable stone surface below you. Down here is where the Old King's Ante Chamber bonfire. You want to get the crossbow to shoot the floor so it breaks. This is the quickest way to get here, if you already turned off the crossbow and didn't get to the Old King bonfire then you will have to go the long way round in the Demon Ruins. The tome is in the corridor, right where you fall down and to the left of the bonfire.

Quelana Pyromancy Tome - Found in the Demon Ruins area in the Catacombs of Carthus. It can be found behind an illusionary wall where all the vegetation is growing out of the walls and floors. See the video provided for an exact location if you are having trouble finding it.

Grave Warden Pyromancy Tome - In the abyss area where you fight High Lord Wolnir. Once the skull teleports you, walk towards the item and pick it up when Wolnir appears.

Vendors

Cornyx of the Great Swamp- To get him available as a merchant, you must first reach the Undead Settlement. Head to the Cliff Underside bonfire, and then up onto the roof. There will be two enemies who throw the firebombs at you here as well. Kill them, and head around the balcony on the roof. He can be found locked up in a cage. Talk to him, and he will relocate to Firelink Shrine.

Pyromancies

Fireball - Can be bought from Cornyx of the Great Swamp.

Fire Orb - Can be bought from Cornyx of the Great Swamp once you give him the Great Swamp Pyromancy Tome.

Great Chaos Fireorb - Can be bought from Cornyx of the Great Swamp once you give him the Izalith Pyromancy Tome.

Chaos Bed Vestiges - Trade the "Soul of he Old Demon King" with Ludleth for this pyromancy.

Fire Surge - Can be bought from Cornyx of the Great Swamp.

Fire Whip - Can be bought from Karla once you give her Quelana Pyromancy Tome.

Firestorm - Can be bought from Karla once you give her Quelana Pyromancy Tome.

Chaos Storm - Can be bought from Cornyx of the Great Swamp once you give him the Izalith Pyromancy Tome.

Great Combustion - Can be bought from Cornyx of the Great Swamp.

Sacred Flame - Head to the Demon Ruins bonfire, in the Catacombs of Carthus. You want to head to the area where you fight the NPC Knight Slayer Tsorig. There is a lava pool here, and the pyromancy is found on this lava. Just run onto it, and be sure to keep healing yourself.

Profaned Flame - Head to the Profaned Capital bonfire, in the Irthyll Dungeon. Go through the poison swamp, and up to where you get the key to free karla. Jump down to the giant below and you can find the pyromancy on a corpse down here.

Next to this wax pool is a dark room, and in here is a lever. Pull the lever to reveal a hidden room behind a bookcase. The pyromancy is in here.

Carthus Beacon - Can be bought from Cornyx of the Great Swamp once you give him the Carthus Pyromancy Tome.

Carthus Flame Arc - Can be bought from Cornyx of the Great Swamp once you give him the Carthus Pyromancy Tome.

Warmth - Requires rank 2 with the Mound-makers covenant. You need to turn in 30 Vertebrae Shackles. You can invade people using the Red Eye Orb for this, and I preferred doing it this way as it seems quicker and more enjoyable. But, if you would prefer to farm it the big skeletons with glowing red eyes can rarely drop it. They aren't the easiest enemies to kill though. If you happen to miss joining the Mound-makers covenant, farming skeletons will be the only way for that playthrough.

Rapport - Can be bought from Karla once you give her Quelana Pyromancy Tome.

Boulder Heave - Trade the "Soul of a Stray Demon" with Ludleth for this pyromancy.

Black Flame - Can be bought from Karla once you give her the Grave Warden Pyromancy Tome.

333.jpg  Master of Miracles (S)

Acquire all miracles.

MISSABLE! - The tome that Yuria sells, is missable as you can only get Yuria to appear as a merchant if you leveled up with Yoel 5 times before the Abyss Watchers. Also note if you give the "dark miracle" tomes to Irina she will eventually go insane and you won't be able to buy miracles anymore but this can be avoided by not buying any Dark miracles from her. The tomes can be picked up by her new spot in the firekeeper tower and given to Karla later on with no penalty (credit to simonp92 for this info).

There are 35 miracles you need to get for the trophy. Pretty much all of them come from vendors but to get some vendors to sell them you need to find tomes. Giving a tome to certain merchants will unlock more miracles to buy. Here are the locations of all the tomes:

Tomes

Braille Divine Tome of Carim - Near where Mornes Ring can be found. Fall off the bridge near the Road of Sacrifices bonfire (and close to the Halfway Fortress bonfire). Can be found in a cave near two dogs after falling off.

Londor Braille Divine Tome (Missable!) - Sold by Yuria of Londor in Firelink Shrine. She will only appear once you get 5 levels off Yoel. You must buy the tome off her and give it to karla later on for 3 miracles. The tome won't carry over to New Game+.

Deep Braille Divine Tome - The mimic on the way down from the first giant in the Cathedral of the Deep. Head all the way down the stairs and the mimic is in this room and drops the tome upon death.

Braille Divine Tome of Lothric - From the Dragonslayer Armour in Lothric Castle, go towards the Sunlight Altar and fall off the railing where there is a gap (make sure you have full health). The tome is on a corpse down here.

Vendors

Irina of Carim - To get her available as a merchant, you must first reach the Undead Settlement. From here, you will want to get to the Dilapidated Bridge bonfire. Go up to where the giant shoots the arrows at you and head up to the left. You want to pick up the "Mortician's Ashes" which can be found near a shed up here. Return these ashes to the Handmaiden in Firelink Shrine and buy the "Grave Key" for 1,500 souls. Now, head back to the Dilapidated Bridge bonfire and go done to the sewers on your right. Near the giant rat is a cell door you can open. Head down this pathway and you will find Irina at the very end, up a ladder. Talk to her and she'll go back to Firelink Shrine. She can be found down the left handside corridor from now on.

Karla - To get her available as a merchant, you need to reach the Irthyll Dungeon area. She can be found locked in a cell at the very bottom of the dungeon. To get the key to open her cell, you need to proceed further until you reach the "Profaned Capital". From here, roll off the edge of the tower and go down towards the toxic swamp area. Down here, is a ladder leading up to a building. Climb this ladder and head around the building, then up the stairs. You will see the giant on your right. At the end of the corridor is the Jailers Key. Go back to Karla and free her.

33d.jpg  Master of Rings (S)

Acquire all rings.

MISSABLE! - The two questline ones mentioned below are the only missable ones, as well as the ring Orbeck gives you if he leaves Firelink Shrine. The rest of them are out in the game world for you to pick up, or from covenants.

This trophy is missable for a few reasons. Make sure you do not do the following / watch out for on your playthroughs:

  • Do not drop, or sell your rings. You won't be able to get them again until a new playthrough.
  • You need all 107 on you at once for the trophy to unlock.
  • You need all +1 and +2 variation of rings.
  • if you sell, or miss a ring in your first playthrough, it'll respawn in subsequent playthroughs.
  • First playthrough has 70 rings available.
  • Second playthrough has 91 rings available.
  • Third playthrough has 107 rings available.
  • Two rings are associated to questlines. Those are:
    • Anri of Astora (You'll do this quest during the "Usurpation of Fire" ending).
      1. Talk to him/her at the Halfway Fortress in the Road of Sacrifices.
      2. Talk to him/her in Firelink Shrine after the Deacons of the Deep fight.
      3. Talk to him/her in the Catacombs of Carthus, near the first rolling ball.
      4. Talk to him/her on the upper ledge by the bridge in the Catacombs of Carthus.
      5. Go and kill Horace in the Smouldering Lake below the broken bridge
      6. Return to Anri and tell him/her about Horace, he/she will give you the "Ring of the Evil Eye".
      7. If he/she isn't there, go to the Church of Yorshka bonfire and talk to him/her there instead.

      [*]Sirris of the Sunless Realms.

      1. Talk to her at Firelink Shrine after you talk to Anri for the first time.
      2. Get the Ash near the Watchdog of Farron bonfire (go outside, up the stairs).
      3. Give the ashes to the Handmaiden, then reload Firelink Shrine.
      4. Talk to Sirris in Firelink.
      5. Once you reach the Irthyll of the Boreal Valley, kill the dog at the start, then light the bonfire. Travel back to the first bonfire here, and then go back onto the bridge. They'll be a summon sign here and you can go to Sirris' world and help her kill an invader. Successfully kill the invader.
      6. Talk to Sirris in Firelink Shrine. She will give you the "Silver Cat Ring"

There are 107 rings you need to collect. There are 70 rings, 21 +1 rings and 16 +2 rings. +1 rings will only spawn in new game+ and higher. +2 rings will only spawn in new game++ and higher. There is only one +3 ring and that's the Life Ring +3 which also comes from new game++ and higher.

This trophy can be boosted. If you join somebody who has the rings, they can drop them on the floor and you can pick them up. This can save a lot of time and cut down on the platinum time tremendously. You will need to have somebody willing to drop rings for you though. If you want to help people, or would like to receive help, you can refer to the Trophy Boosting Thread.

For ring locations, I have made videos for all of them. The +1 and +2 ring videos are in the order that you find them in the game, this saves time on those playthroughs. The big video is in order of how they are listed in your inventory. This makes it easier for you to find the ones you are missing, as you will pick up a fair amount on your first playthrough if you do enough exploring. Refer to the video description for a timeline:

004.jpg  Master of Expression (S)

Learn all gestures.

MISSABLE!

There are 33 gestures that you need to learn for the trophy. At the very start of the game, you will get 7 by default, so you need to find 26 of them. They come from a few different places, but you mainly learn them from the NPCs in the game, and from doing questlines relating to NPCs. Hence, this trophy is pretty missable. However, you'll be doing 3 playtthroughs anyway and the gestures carry over into New Game+ so you have plenty of time to get them all.

Point Forward - Automatically received.

Point Up - Automatically received.

Point Down - Automatically received.

Wave - Automatically received.

Beckon (MISSABLE!) - Learnt from Yoel of Londor. Talk to him at the Foot of the High Wall, right after you kill Vordt of the Boreal Valley. You must talk to him here or he dies. Once he relocates to firelink shrine, talk to him.

Call Over - Give a Homeward Bone to Snuggly the Crow on top of Firelink Shrine. Simply drop the item in her nest.

Welcome - Learnt from Cornyx of the Great Swamp. Talk to him once he relocates to Firelink Shrine.

Applause - Learnt from Leonhard.

Quiet Resolve (MISSABLE!) - Learnt by talking to Anri of Astora at the Church of Yorshka bonfire. She will only appear here if you talk to him/her in the previous spots. See the Usurpation of Fire walkthrough for more information on this questline.

She will invade you in the Farron Keep area if the Abyss Watchers are still alive. You cannot even talk to Rosaria before doing this or she won't invade you. Reinforce a bonfire to the highest level.

Reinforcing the bonfire in Firelink Shrine upgrades your Estus health recovery. This is done by burning "Undead Bone Shards" in the bonfire at Firelink Shrine. There are a total of 10 you can pick up (per playthrough) and to reinforce a bonfire to the highest level, you have to burn 10 bone shards. If you happen to miss any, you can go into new game+ and they'll all have respawned. You can only get your Estus Flask up to +10 though and any further bone shard you pick up will be useless. Estus Flask upgrades carry over into New Game+. For locations of them all, please refer to the video below:

Reinforce the Estus Flask to the highest level.

To reinforce the Estus Flask, you need to find "Estus Shards". Once you have found one, go to the Blacksmith in Firelink Shrine and give him the shard. Doing this will allow you to carry another Estus flask use. You can get a total of 15 (spread across Estus, and ashen). You start the game with 4. The Estus Shards respawn in new game+, so if you happen to miss one you can get another one you already got. Estus Flask upgrades carry over into New Game+

a1d.jpg  Covenant: Warrior of Sunlight (B)(H)

Discover Warrior of Sunlight covenant.

To discover the Warrior's of Sunlight Covenant, you need to find the "Warrior of Sunlight" item. This can be found in the Undead Settlement, in a room just after the mob of enemies around a tree. As soon as you pick that up, the trophy will unlock. Once you have that, you can start earning sunlight medals by helping others in co-op or invading other peoples worlds. You will earn a sunlight medal by killing a boss with somebody in the sunlight covenant, or you help somebody kill a boss while in the sunlight covenant.

If you want to farm it offline, it'll take a lot longer. The Lothric Knights in at the High Wall of Lothric and Lothric Castle have a very rare chance of dropping them. You can turn in medals at the Sunlight Altar. This can be found just before the Dragonslayer Armou boss. The covenant rewards for turning in medals are as follows.

  • Rank 1 (10) - Sacred Oath (Required for (S) Master of Miracles)
  • Rank 2 (30) - Great Lightning Spear (Required for (S) Master of Miracles)

For a visual location of the covenant and altar, you can refer to the video below:

694.jpg  Covenant: Way of Blue (B)(H)

Discover Way of Blue covenant.

The Way of Blue covenant item is given to you by the High Priestess just before the Vordt of the Boreal valley boss fight. She will give you a flag first (the one that gets you to the Undead Settlement) but if you talk to her again she'll give you the covenant item. If you miss the chance, you can always come back and get it at any time. She will drop it later in the game once 3 of the lords of cinder are dead. There are no rewards such as spells, rings etc for this covenant. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

7e7.jpg  Covenant: Blue Sentinels (B)(H)

Discover Blue Sentinels covenant.

The Blue Sentinels covenant can be found after the Undead Settlement, in a location called Road of Sacrifices. Head through this area until you reach the "Halfway Fortress" bonfire. Talk to Anri and exhaust all of his/her dialogue. Then, talk to Horrace. Horrace will give you the covenant item. There are no rewards such as spells, rings etc for this covenant. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

6a6.jpg  Covenant: Blade of the Darkmoon (B)(H)

Discover Blade of the Darkmoon covenant.

This covenant can be found in Anor Londo, in Irthyll of the Boreal Valley. You will want to go down the spiral staircase from Anor Londo and then walk along the invisible pathway over to the tower next to you. Company Captain Yorshka is sitting here, and she is the covenant leader and the one you turn in covenant drops in to. Just talking to her should let you join. If she doesn't, then you will need to kill her and she'll drop two items. One of them will be the covenant item. Don't worry about killing her, she will respawn in New Game+ and she'll let you turn in drops.

The Blade of the Darkmoon has 2 award tiers, and you need to get 30 Proof of a Concord Kepts. You can get these to drop from the silver knights around Anor Londo, but it is a very rare drop. Just make sure to wear the mimic head and combine it with rusted coins (you can buy an infinite amount of these from Patches in Firelink Shrine). Off hand the Crystal age's Rapier as well, as this will give you increased discovery too.

  • Rank 1 (10) - Darkmoon Ring (Required for (S) Master of Rings)
  • Rank 2 (30) - Darkmoon Blade (Required for (S) Master of Miracles)

For a visual walkthrough on this covenants location, you can refer to the video below:

4c7.jpg  Covenant: Rosaria's Fingers (B)(H)

Discover Rosaria's Fingers covenant.

Rosaria's Fingers covenant can be found in the Cathedral of the Deep. You will need the shortcut down by the giants in order to get here first, but you should already have that if you defeated the Deacons of the Deep boss. If not, you can unlock it by following the pathway in the area with the giants to it. Head up the elevator by this shortcut, and make your way up the ladder next to you. Head along the rooftops and into the cathedrals upper catwalks. You want to fall down on the opposite side and land on the balcony. Then, fall down again and land on the next balcony where the slugs are. From here head up the stairs, and through the door. You will see a bonfire in front of you as well as Rosaria. Talk to her to pledge allegiance to the covenant. Do not, doing this is going to make Sirris in Firelink Shrine dislike you and you won't be able to get the Cat Ring.

Rosaria's Fingers has 2 award tiers, but you only need to get 10 pale tongues for the platinum. 30 of them will just give you a staff. You can get pale tongues in two ways. The first is to equip the covenant item, and invade other players worlds. If you defeat the host, you'll be rewarded with an ember and a Pale Tongue. The second way is to farm Darkwraiths in the road of sacrifices. You It is a very rare drop however. Make sure you put on all items that boost item discovery for best results.

  • Rank 1 (10) - Obscuring Ring (Required for (S) Master of Rings)
  • Rank 2 (30) - Man-Grub's Staff (Staff, not required for the platinum)

87f.jpg  Covenant: Mound-makers (B)(H)

Discover Mound-makers covenant.

MISSABLE! - You have to do this before killing the curse-rotted greatwood boss.

The mound-makers covenant can be found in the Undead Settlement. They are a little tricky to join compared to the other ones. From the Undead Settlement bonfire, head through the building in front of you and you'll come out at a mob worshiping a tree. Head across the bridge on the right but don't go into the building in front of you. Instead, head around the right and the climb up the ladder at the end of the pathway. Climb over the roof, and you'll see an "enemy" with a cage on it's back. Go up behind it and get in the cage. Do not attack it. It'll bring you to the area where the Curse-rotted Greatwood falls down during that boss fight. This is why you can't have done that boss yet, as the boss will crush the NPC who lets you join and kill him.

The mound-makers have 2 award tiers, and you need to get to rank 2 in order to get the platinum. To rank up, you will need to turn in Vertebra Shackles. You can get Vertebra Shackles in two ways. The first is to equip the covenant item, and invade other players worlds. If you defeat the host OR a phantom if the hosts world. You can also help a host fight a boss and get one. You'll be rewarded with an ember and a Vertebra Shackle. The second way, is to farm the big skeleton ninja guys in the Catacombs of Carthus (the ones with glowing eyes). It is a very rare drop however. Make sure you put on all items that boost item discovery for best results.

  • Rank 1 (10) - Bloodlust (weapon, not needed for platinum)
  • Rank 2 (30) - Warmth (Required for (S) Master of Pyromancies)

For a visual walkthrough on this covenants location, you can refer to the video below:

084.jpg  Covenant: Watchdogs of Farron (B)(H)

Discover Watchdogs of Farron covenant.

MISSABLE! - The wolf just randomly dies after you defeat Yhorm, The Abyss Watchers and Aldritch. Make sure to join and rank up this Covenant before that, or come back to it in New Game+

The Watchdogs of Farron covenant can be found in the Road of Sacrifices area. From the "Keep Ruins" bonfire (the one just before the big locked door), head down the ramp and then up the ladder of the tower to your right. In this room, is a bonfire and the covenant. Talk to the wolf to pledge allegiance to them to join.

The Watchdogs of Farron have 2 award tiers, and you need to get to rank 2 in order to get the platinum. To rank up, you need to turn in Wolf's Blood Swordgrass. You can get Wolf's Blood Swordgrass effectively by farming the 3 enemies just before the "Keep Ruins" bonfire. Make sure you equip the covenant item beforehand. They just sit there, and all 3 have the chance to drop a Wolf's Blood Swordgrass. Just make sure to wear the mimic head and combine it with rusted coins (you can buy an infinite amount of these from Patches in Firelink Shrine). Off hand the Crystal age's Rapier as well, as this will give you increased discovery too.

  • Rank 1 (10) - Old Wolf Curved Sword (weapon, not needed for platinum)
  • Rank 2 (30) - Wolf Knight Greatshield & Wolf Ring (Required for (S) Master of Rings)

For a visual walkthrough on this covenants location, you can refer to the video below:

6c3.jpg  Covenant: Aldritch Faithful (B)(H)

Discover Aldritch Faithful covenant.

This covenant can be found just after the Pontiff Sulyvahn boss fight. Go past all of the dead giants and into the building up ahead. Do not go up the stairs, instead hit the wall by the stairs to reveal a hidden entrance. Go down the ladder. There are two of those crazy mutant wolf things down here, and they are very dangerous. You do need to kill them for the Ring of Favor, and they don't respawn. To join this covenant though, you need to pledge to the deacon guy in the corner of the room.

Aldritch Faithful has 2 award tiers, and you need to get to rank 1 in order to get the platinum. To rank up, you need to turn in Human Dregs. You can get these by equipping the covenant item and farming the Deacons just before the covenant location. They are on the higher platform from where the dead giants are. Just make sure to wear the mimic head and combine it with rusted coins (you can buy an infinite amount of these from Patches in Firelink Shrine). Off hand the Crystal age's Rapier as well, as this will give you increased discovery too.

  • Rank 1 (10) - Great Deep Soul (Required for (S) Master of Sorceries)
  • Rank 2 (30) - Archdeacon Great Staff (Weapon, not required for the platinum)

69f.jpg  Untended Graves (B)(H)

Reach the Untended Graves.

The Untended Graves is a secret area in Dark Souls 3. It can be found hidden in the room after the boss "Oceiros, the Consumed King". Hit the wall behind the chest and which will reveal a hidden entrance. Head down the pathway and you'll reach the "Untended Graves". For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

488.jpg  Archdragon Peak (B)(H)

Reach Archdragon Peak.

Archdragon peak is a secret area in Dark Souls 3. To get there you need to learn the "Path to the Old Dragon" gesture. You can get this in the room after Oceriros, the Consumed King. Interact with the knight sitting in front of the fountain.

Once you have it, head to the Irthyll Dungeon. You want to go outside near where the shortcut elevator is. There's a few knights and dragon looking people looking out to a palace on a cliffside. You want to use the Path to the Old Dragon gesture on the unoccupied rug. Do this gesture for a good few seconds, a cutscene will play and you'll get transported there. Walk forwards until "Archdragon Peak" appears on the screen and the trophy will unlock. You can fight the "Ancient Wyvern" Boss here as well as "The Nameless King". For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

1c5.jpg  Iudex Gundyr (B)(H)

Defeat Iudex Gundyr.

Boss Location: Untended Graves

Optional: No, story related.

Recommended Level: N/A

Iudex Gundyr is the very first boss in the game, and you'll fight him pretty soon into the game. He is an easy boss, and doesn't have much health at all. He merely serves as a tutorial. When you pull the bonfire sword out of him, start hitting him straight away. This will cause you to damage him while he is waking up. Just stick close to him, and roll out of the way of his easily avoidable attacks. Once he gets to about half health, he'll be consumed by an abyss form and have more dangerous attacks. Just stay as close as you can to him as possible and keep hitting him. There isn't much he can do about it as his attacks in this form are mainly long range.

d40.jpg  Vordt of the Boreal Valley (B)(H)

Defeat Vordt of the Boreal Valley.

Boss Location: High Wall of Lothric

Optional: No, story related.

Recommended Level: 20

Vordt of the Boreal valley is the second boss you will face in the game. He can be found opposite the cathedral where the priestess is in High Wall of Lothric. Vordt is an easy boss, like the first. You want to attack his back legs to avoid most of his attacks. If you are quick enough, you can keep walking under him to stay by his back legs and never get hit by him. For his second phase however, he'll be much more aggressive. His attacks will now pretty much consist of bull charging you very quickly. You can dodge these, and try to hit his back legs again. Overall though, Vordt is an easy boss and he shouldn't be too difficult for you to take down. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

8f0.jpg  Curse-rotted Greatwood (B)(H)

Defeat the Curse-rotted Greatwood.

Boss Location: Undead Settlement

Optional: Yes, but you need to kill him to access Ludleth's boss weapons

Recommended Level: 20

Curse-rotted Greatwood can be found just beyond the graveyard where the giant shoots his arrows, in the Undead Settlement. This boss is somewhat gimmicky, where you want to attack the sack things on his body. He'll have a big group at the front of him, and you'll want to focus on these first. Keep hitting him there until they exploding, dealing big damage. Once one sack has exploded, he will jump up and break the floor. This will kill all the adds in the boss arena as well, but not hurt you.

Use the same strategy as before. he has sacks on his feet, and mid way up his back (to attack these, he has to roll back a bit), If you run out of sacks to burst and he is still alive, you can bait the hand in front of him to attack, then get one or two hits in on it. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below. This boss is optional, but he will give you the kiln that lets you trade boss souls with Ludleth.

f4b.jpg  Crystal Sage (B)(H)

Defeat Crystal Sage.

Boss Location: Road of Sacrifices

Optional: No, story related.

Recommended Level: 25

The Crystal Sage can be found beyond the Crucifixion Woods in the Road of Sacrifices. The boss will pretty much only use crystal magic spells on you, and occasionally hit you with a rapier if you get close. You want to just run at him, and hit him as much as you can. He will get stunlocked easily so don't worry about him hitting you. Unless he has Homing Mass cast he will teleport away. if he does, you can near enough kill him in his first spot as he will not teleport while those are above him.

Once he gets to around half health (or once he teleports a certain amount of times) they'll be 4 of him in the boss arena, and all of them will have his move sets. It just becomes a magic spam fest at this point and you want to run around the arena and quickly hit any of them you see. The fake ones will die in one hit. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

87d.jpg  Deacons of the Deep (B)(H)

Defeat the Deacons of the Deep.

Boss Location: Cathedral of the Deep

Optional: No, story related. Drops a doll required to enter the Irthyll of the Boreal Valley

Recommended Level: 25

Deacons of the Deep can be found in the Cathedral of the Deep, the area just after the Crystal Sage. It is a mob boss, so essentially it's just a massive group of enemies and you need to attack one of them to get the health bar down. For the first stage of the fight, attack the deacons who are glowing red. Keep doing this until the main boss spawns in. Once he does, just be as quick as you can in taking him down. He was use hexes against you which take a ton of your health off if cast. If you take too long during the fight, a spell will get cast that just instantly curses you. The trick to this fight is just to be as quick as you can. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

3f6.jpg  High Lord Wolnir (B)(H)

Defeat High Lord Wolnir.

Boss Location: Catacombs of Carthus

Optional: No, story related.

Recommended Level: 30

High Lord Wolnir can be found in the Catacombs of Carthus, the area just after the Abyss Watchers. You want to solely focus on the bracelets on his arms. There's two on his left arm, and one on his right arm. Destroying all 3 of them will kill him. Just hang to the side of him, but don't get too close to the mist just beyond his torso as this will hurt you. He has limited attacks, and he'll mainly swing with his arms. If you see him tilt his head back and purple gas comes out of his mouth, run all the way back. This gas will kill you very quickly if you get stuck in it. Same can be said for if he starts climbing up the arena. Simple fight, just focus on the bracelets and avoiding his attacks by rolling. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

0a1.jpg  Pontiff Sulyvahn (B)(H)

Defeat Pontiff Sulyvahn.

Boss Location: Irthyll of the Boreal Valley

Optional: No, story related.

Recommended Level: 40

Pontiff Sulyvahn can be found in the Irthyll of the Boreal Valley, just after the High Lord Wolnir fight you will come to this area.. He is a very tough fight in my opinion (reminds me of Fume Knight from Dark Souls 2). You can summon an NPC outside the boss room if you have your ember restored. This way, the boss will usually focus on him as Sulyvahn is very aggressive. He has two swords. One infused with fire, one magic. You have to roll very carefully and get the timing right as if he hits you, you will lose more than half of your health. Stick as close as you can to him, and move around him. Once he attacks, roll, and then get a hit or two off. He has 1 hit, 2, hit and even 3/4 hit combos so it can be difficult to now when it is safe to attack.

When he gets down to around half health, he will spawn in a clone of himself that has a fair amount of health. You can either kill this one, or focus on the boss. The clone has the same attack patterns as Sullyvahn is using. So, if Sullyvahn does the jumping attack, the clone will do the same but shortly after. The clone will also stick pretty much right next to Sullyvahn as well, which can make killing it difficult. This is why I recommend the NPC summon outside, this way the clone or Sullyvahn will split up. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below.

627.jpg  Dancer of the Boreal Valley (B)(H)

Defeat Dancer of the Boreal Valley.

Boss Location: High Wall of Lothric

Optional: No, story related.

Recommended Level: 50

Dancer of the Boreal Valley can be found after you have defeated 3 of the Lords of Cinder. Once you kill the the third one, you will be teleported to the Priestess at High Wall of Lothric, She'll die, and give you a bowl. Walk forwards a bit and then a cutscene will play... and the Dancer will appear. She is a very elegant, and fluid boss. This boss is the turning point, and all of them past this one are very difficult to beat. Predicting her movements can be tricky and she will always keep moving in a circle around you. Try to stay behind her, and hit her from behind.

Be very careful of her grab attack. This will pretty much kill you in one hit. It is easy to avoid though, and she'll only successfully grab you if you are right in front of her. Once she gets to around 50% health, she will dual wield two swords. She has a lot of combos during this phase, and one that has her spinning around the room for a good 5-10 seconds. If you get caught in this windmill you will die and there's nothing you'll be able to do. Just stay behind her if you can, and get 1 or 2 hits each time. You can use the pillars around the room if you like to get something between you and her. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

c01.jpg  Dragonslayer Armour (B)(H)

Defeat Dragonslayer Armour.

Boss Location: Lothric Castle

Optional: No, story related.

Recommended Level: 50

Dragonslayer Armour can be found in Lothric Castle, just beyond the two Wyverns. He has a big shield, so be careful of attacking him when it is up. He hits very hard, so you want to make sure you roll perfectly to avoid his attacks. Be quick as well, so dodge, and then attack him a few times. Always attack when they is an opportunity. Once he gets to around half health, the cinder dragon things in the distance will fire projectiles at the arena. The best thing to do to avoid these is just roll about constantly around the area. Just be careful of the Dragonslayer as you do this.

He has a fairly predictable moveset, and not many combos. It's just when he does hit you, he hits you really hard. If he does manage to get a hit off on you, back away and use your Estus Flask for recovery. For a visual walkthrough on this boss, you can refer to the video below:

946.jpg  Old Demon King (B)(H)

Defeat Old Demon King.

Boss Location: Catacombs of Carthus

Optional: Yes

Recommended Level: 40

Old Demon King is a somewhat hidden boss. You can find him in the Catacombs of Carthus. Just before the High Lord Wolnir boss fight, there is a bridge that will collapse when the skeletons run across it, or if you hit it with a weapon. Break the bridge, then climb down it. You will eventually reach smouldering lake down here. Which has a worm mini-boss, and a crossbow that will repeatedly shoot you with arrows. The boss can be found just beyond the giant worm.

He is one of the few bosses who punishes you for being close to him. The strategy here is to wait until he attacks, the quickly run to him and hit him a couple of times. Then back away. Keep doing this, and don't get greedy. If you are a Mage, or Archer, then this fight is easy. Just keep shooting him from a far and he won't even hit you. Be careful of his AoE attacks which he uses when his health gets low. However, when he waves his hammer in the air you can get a decent amount of free hits on him as he summons the meteors. d0a.jpg  Oceiros, the Consumed King (B)(H)

Defeat Oceiros, the Consumed King.

Boss Location: Lothric Castle

Optional: Yes

Recommended Level: 40

After the fight with the Dancer of the Boreal Valley, head up the ladder and turn left instead of going straight up. You can find the consumed kings garden up here, as well as Oceiros at the end of the garden guarded by knights. During his first phase, he'll attack you with his staff and occasionally use an AoE attack that covers the floor around him in a damaging mist. Just try to stay underneath him, and attack his hind legs.

When he gets to 50% health, he'll become a lot more aggressive. Charging at you on all fours pretty much the whole time. It is difficult to get hits on him as he is always charging, and charging about the place. Just try to chase him about the arena, and not get caught in his charging attacks. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

772.jpg  Champion Gundyr (B)(H)

Defeat Champion Gundyr.

Boss Location: Untended Graves

Optional: Yes

Recommended Level: 50

Champion Gundyr can be found in the Untended Graves. For more information on how to get to this location, please refer to the (S) Untended Graves trophy.

Champion Gundyr is a very, very aggressive boss. He has no patterns to his attacks, and he can chain a ton of different attacks together. If you get behind him and try to attack him, he'll punish you by round house kicking you. This is something you need to remember. Do not attack him from behind if you can help it, attack him from the sides. There is an NPC summon outside the door if you are struggling, just remember he'll get more health if you have a summon.

For the second phase, he gets even more aggressive. He'll chain attack combos, and then finish with shoulder charges. These are difficult to predict, but luckily they don't do a huge amount of damage to you. His halberd attacks are the ones you need to look out for, especially when he is charging at you. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

3ff.jpg  Ancient Wyvern (B)(H)

Defeat Ancient Wyvern.

Boss Location: Archdragon Peak

Optional: Yes

Recommended Level: N/A

Anicent Wyvern can be found at Archdragon Peak. For more information on how to get to this location, please refer to the (S) Archdragon Peak trophy.

Ancient Wyvern can be found near the start of Archdragon Peak. He'll swoop down and land in front of you after you open a gate. Now, don't even bother attacking him. Just run up to him, and then make a left. Run all the way up here, and past the enemies. You will eventually reach a ladder leading up some scaffolding. Go up these, and then fall down to the concrete area next to you. Wait until the Wyvern is sitting down just below you, then jump off and do a jumping attack. If done correctly, you'll land on its head and one hit kill it. For a visual walkthrough of this boss, you can refer to the video below:

ba1.jpg  The Nameless King (B)(H)

Defeat Nameless King.

Boss Location: Archdragon Peak

Optional: Yes

Recommended Level: 80+

Nameless King can be found at Archdragon Peak. For more information on how to get to this location, please refer to the (S) Archdragon Peak trophy.

Nameless King (you've probably heard the rumors) is the hardest boss in the game. You can find him at the end of Archdragon Peak, but ringing the bell near the Great Belfry bonfire. The first phase, you are fighting the King of the Storms. This dragon doesn't have much health, but he has some devastating attacks and so does the Nameless King. Try and stay in front of it, then get one or two hits on his head. Do not hang around underneath him for too long, as he will fly up and breath fire below him. If you get caught in this you will die, as the fire lasts long enough for the invincibility time to run out. When he breaths fire in front of him though, you can hit his neck a good number of times.

Once the King of Storms is dead, the real fight begins. The Nameless King hits very hard, and has a lot of combos. Your best bet is to stick right up close to him, dodge his attacks, and get one or two hits in. Be very wary when he shoots a lightning bolt into the air, as this will hit you after 1-2 seconds and you have to time a dodge perfectly or it'll deal a ridiculous amount of damage to you. He has a fair amount of health, so it'll take a while to kill him. If he does happen to kill you, you'll have to kill the King of the Storms again. If you are a ranged character, this fight is much easier. You can hang far back and shoot him with arrows or spells. He will only use one or two moves from a distance, and both are easily avoidable. For a visual walkthrough, you can refer to the video below:

7e8.jpg  Enkindle (B)

Light a bonfire flame for the first time.

This will be one of the very first trophies you get in the game. The first bonfire is just beyond the ashen estus flask you pick up. Any bonfire will unlock the trophy though and you need to light the one in Firelink Shrine at the beginning of the game to proceed anyway.

2d7.jpg  Embrace the Flame (B)

Become a Host of Embers for the first time.

This will unlock after you defeat Iduex Gundyr. Host of the Embers is referring to "Cinder Mode" which is when you get your health buffed by 1.4x and can summon other players. You will take this form every time that you kill a boss, or consume an "Ember". You cannot miss this trophy.

I need to finish videos for the sorceries and stuff, then it'll be 100%. As well as adding in confirmations for things, missables etc. Feedback etc appreciated.

Also, thanks to the people at /r/darksouls3jpn without their translations and help confirming locations for things, this guide would not have been possible :D

Wow nice job! Perfect timing too. :applause:

I was just looking around trying to figure out a few things before I get the game tonight. Since I have only played Bloodborne there were a few things I was confused or wasn't sure about. This guide pretty much cleared up the last few questions I had. This will be a big help for cleaning up any rings and other stuff I missed too. So thanks for the guide! Im sure it will come in handy and it looks great. :)

Awesome work. How many quests are there to do ?

You need to advance quite far in a fair few of them... I mention which ones next to the trophies. They are pretty simple though for the most part, you just need to know what to look out for.

Siegward of Catarina = 1/2 his quest

Leonhard = full quest

Sirris of the sunless realms = 1/2 her quest

Yuria and Yoel of Londor = full quest

Anri of Astora = part of Yurias quest

Thanks for the guide ! :applause:

By the way, is it possible to get 2 endings at first playthrough by loading save ?

So you will not actually need to complete New game++ and save some time.

One of the +2 rings is literally right at the end of the game. You can back up your save if you would like to. Kindle bonfire, reload save, summon firekeeper.
