INTRODUCTION

Dark Souls II is the third iteration into the "Soul" series of games developed by FROMSOFTWARE. The game is a classic action-based RPG where you face tough enemies and even tougher bosses. If you have played the two games previous to this one there isn't much that has changed in terms of controls but a major addition to Dark Souls II is the ability to fast travel to any bonfire location which greatly speeds up playthrough time.

One important thing to note if you want to be the most time efficient with the game is to NEVER kill any human NPC and be sure to also talk to every NPC and exhaust all their dialogue (until they say the same thing over and over when you talk to them). This will allow you to meet those NPCs in different places throughout the game and obtain trophies. When you have beaten the final boss of the game, do not advance to NG+ via the Majula bonfire until you are sure you've received every trophy you want on your first playthrough. You can get all trophies except 2 on your first playthrough, those are: Master of Pyromancy (S) and Master of Miracles (S). You can technically get those 2 trophies but it would require over 1000 PvP wins within respective covenants. Otherwise you will need 2.75 playthroughs of the game (this is the recommended method)

Step Zero: Things to be aware of before starting the game

A quick note on missable trophies, there are NO missable trophies in the game as long as you do not kill any NPCs or free Navlann in Aldia's Keep (See Spell trophies post in guide). Every trophy can be obtained before going into NG+ except the miracles and pyromancy trophies. While every trophy can be obtained offline; it is recommended that you to rank up in certain covenants online because it's much faster.

For the people who are asking about online, the game will be much easier if you rank up the Bell Tower covenant in Multiplayer to get 30 wins which gives you the Hidden Weapon sorcery but the playerbase isn't what it once was so you're better off doing these offline. In addition, playing online and helping other players beat bosses while you are in the Sunlight covenant, is another way to get a rank 3 miracle. Those 2 spells can be obtained offline through grinding but can be done online. You can do the Bell Tower portion offline using an exploit, read HERE for more information.

You can build your character any way you want and use a Soul Vessel at any point in the game to respec your character at the 3 witches at the beginning of the game near the Things Betwixt bonfire to get certain trophies (ie trophies requiring X stat skill to talk to merchants).

Step One: Playthrough 1

On your first playthrough it is recommended to go for the two most annoying trophies in the game; that is Moonlight Greatsword (S) and Lucatiel (S). See their trophy descriptions before you beat any bosses if you want to knock those out first. Other than those 2 trophies if you do not kill any NPCs in the game you can just play the game as normal and enjoy it, you can easily mop up any trophies after you enter the post game (before heading to NG+). As outlined in the intro, you can get every trophy this playthrough except Master of Pyromancy (S) and Master of Miracles (S) unless you have 1000 PvP wins within the respective covenants. The 3 spells that are unobtainable in your first playthrough are Bountiful Sunlight (miracle), Wrath of God (miracle) and Great Chaos Fireball (pyromancy). If you do get those spells in your first playthrough you can platinum the game without needing to go into NG+. This game can be confusing so as a general roadmap you can use the picture below for a reference on what connects to where and where you will be progressing through the game:

MAP OF DARK SOULS 2 AREAS

Step Two: New Game + (NG+)

If you happened to miss getting any NPC specific trophy this is where you will want to go for it, other then that simply run through the game and pick up any other trophy you missed. Unfortunately you will still be unable to buy the last miracles and pyromancy in order to obtain Master of Pyromancy (S) and Master of Miracles (S).

Step Three: New Game ++ (NG++)

You will be doing another run through of the game where you can once again pick up any trophies you missed in the previous 2 playthroughs. If you are only missing the Master of Pyromancy (S) and Master of Miracles (S) trophies then you will only need to get access to Drangleic Castle in order to buy the 3 spells from the merchant right as you enter the castle; then the Platinum is yours!

TROPHY GUIDE

352.jpg The Dark Soul (P)

Acquire all trophies

Get all the other trophies, to pop this one.

STORY-RELATED TROPHIES

All these trophies are unmissable

spacer.png - Self Recollection (B)

Reclaim flesh and set out as an Undead

You will get this trophy after speaking with the old ladies at the beginning of the game.

spacer.png - Last Giant (B)(H)

Defeat the Last Giant

This is the first real boss you will encounter in the game, the best strategy for beating him is staying between his legs and attacking his feet. This will avoid his sweeping attacks with his hand. Just keep your stamina at 25% or higher at all times so you can dodge roll away if he decides to stomp his foot or run up to him again if he jumps back to get away from you. Very simple and easy boss fight. If you talked to Pate while progressing through the level and exhausted all his dialogue options you will be able to summon him as an NPC helper with the fight.

spacer.png - Sinner's Bonfire (S)(H)

Light the primal bonfire in Sinner's Rise

In order to get this trophy you will have to defeat the Lost Sinner boss and light the primal bonfire. Make sure then before you light bonfire you get the chest containing the Fragrant Branch of Yore. He is located at the bottom of the Sinner's Rise tower which is accessed by progressing through The Lost Bastille. In order to get to this boss and avoid a lot of the annoying enemies when you reach the basement of the area defeat the Belfry Gargoyles and obtain the Bastille Key first to unlock the doors in the cell area and also gain access to the 2 side rooms right before the fog door leading to the boss. Using a torch you will be able to light up the boss room making this battle much easier to stay locked on to the boss. To access this area you have a few options:

1. Defeat the Pursuer Boss in the Forest or Fallen Giants and have the eagle at the nest carry you to the Lost Bastille or go through No Man's Wharf (from Heide's Tower of Flame after the Dragonslayer boss) and take the ship to the Lost Bastille.

2. Then you will have to defeat the Ruin Sentinel Sisters in the Lost Bastille.

3. *Optional* Access Belfry Luna from Servant's Quarters bonfire after Ruin Sentinel Sisters boss fight to get the Bastille Key by beating the Gargoyles and doing the small sub-area (NPC invader).

4. Fight the Lost Sinner in the Sinner's Tower.

This is one of the boss fights you can summon Lucatiel for and will count towards the Lucatiel (S) trophy if you talked to her in the Lost Bastille tower and exhausted all dialogue. As for the actual boss battle the Lost Sinner is fairly simple, if you have a phantom with you (NPC or real player) one of you simply should have a shield with 100 physical reduction and high stability and just block when the Lost Sinner is targeting you and you will never take damage from him unless he does the overhead jumping slash in which case you have to dodge it. Other then that just use ranged attacks or pick your melee carefully after a successful dodge or block as you "punish" his recovery for whiffing the attack. As always, make sure you do not drain your stamina when attacking or forgo an attack if you blocked too much and lost too much Stamina. Video guides for this trophy are below:

spacer.png - Iron Keep Bonfire (S)(H)

Light the primal bonfire in the Iron Keep

You will have to defeat the Old Iron King boss and light the primal bonfire in order to get this trophy. To be able to access this boss you will have to have beaten the Dragonslayer at Heide's Tower of Flame in order to talk to Licia of Lindelt and exhaust her dialogue options to get her to return to Majula. The pathway that leads to this boss is:

1. From Mujula, take the stairs down behind the Cat's house.

2. Get Licia of Lindelt to turn the Rotunda to gain access to Huntsman's Copse.

3. Beat the Skeleton Lords boss to gain access to Harvest Valley.

4. Defeat Covetous Demon boss to gain access to Earthen Peak.

5. Defeat Mytha, the Baneful Queen to gain access to the Iron Keep.

6. *Optional but recommended* Defeat Smelter Demon

7. Keep progressing through the Iron Keep to reach the Old Iron King Boss.

As for the actual boss fight, it again is fairly simple. Magic/Lightning/Dark based weapons and spells will deal the most damage to him, ranged spells are the best options to use (Soul Arrows, Lightning, Hexes, etc) or elementally enhanced weapons. You should only physically attack him when he stomps his hands down and leaves them on the platform for about 15 seconds. Otherwise just used ranged attacks to wither his health away as he tries to attack you. Running to the right side behind the wall is a good place to dodge most his fire breath attacks but watch for him charging his hand for a beam attack which will hit you through the wall unless you dodge roll. Video guides for the areas and bosses outlined above are below in order:

spacer.png - Brightstone Bonfire (S)(H)

Light the primal bonfire in Brightstone Cove Tseldora

For this trophy you will need to defeat the Duke's Dear Freja boss and then light the primal bonfire. In order to access this are you will need to go through the following areas:

1. From Majula you will have to unpetrify Rosabeth with a Fragrant Branch of Yore in order to gain access to the handle that opens the gate to the Shaded Woods. This is where you can get the Change Clothes (S) trophy so make sure you have some spare armor on hand before you go here.

2. Progress through the Shaded Woods and fight the Scorpioness Nejka Boss.

3. Keep Progressing and fight the The Prowling Magus & Congregation Boss.

4. Get to the Duke's Dear Freja and beat her.

This boss again is fairly simple, you can only attack her faces (one on each side of her body). Being a melee character is risky because her legs and mouth can attack you for big damage and the acid she spits can erode your equipment. What you should do first is kill all the spider enemies around you and then focus on the boss. Before the boss fog door there is an NPC phantom at the other end of the fog door you can summon (Ashen Knight Boyd) for help. Fire based weapons and spells will deal the most damage to the spider. Be aware of her beam attack if you are too far away, she will use it. Video guides for the bosses are below:

b55.jpg  - Gulch Bonfire (S)(H)

Light the primal bonfire in the Black Gulch

For this trophy you will have to defeat The Rotton boss and light the primal bonfire afterwards. There are 2 ways to access this boss:

1. Acquire the Silver Cat ring and use it to fall down the giant hole in Majula. You will get to a platform that is connected to a tunnel that will take you into the Grave of Saints. Beat this area and you can reach the next area. Or you can wait until you've beaten Earthen Peak / talked to Gilligan and have him come back to Majula and drop a ladder down for 12,000 souls, using the Silver Cat ring again you can drop down to the very bottom of the hole and skip doing the Grave of Saints. Be aware that you will have to beat the Grave of Saints for the Gnawing Covenant (B) trophy anyways though.

2. From there just progress through the Gutter until you reach the Black Gulch.

3. Defeat the Rotten.

This boss is another boss where you can earn a point towards the Lucatiel (S) trophy by summoning her but you will have to find her in this area first. This boss battle is fairly simple as well, just basic melee attacks and fire spells will get the job done. Watch out for a charged sonic boom like attack the Rotten does that will knock you back and deal good damage if you are close.

097.jpg  - Looking Glass Knight (S)(H)

Defeat Looking Glass Knight

After you have lit all 4 primal bonfires you will gain access to the Shrine of Winter (found by heading through the Shaded Woods from the Fork bonfire). You will finally be granted access to Drangleic Castle. You will have to fight your way through 2 Dragonslayers as a sub-boss before being able to reach the Looking Glass Knight. This boss fight can be somewhat challenging but luckily you can summon Benhart and earn a credit towards the Moonlight Greatsword (S) for this fight if you talk to him and exhaust all dialogue at the bonfire before this boss. Having a shield that defends against 100% physical damage and has high stability is great here. Your best bet is to defend/dodge his attacks and punish their recovery animations without dropping your stamina to zero. Much like the Lost Sinner boss battle. Video guide on beating the Looking Glass Knight is below (Credit to Silver Mont😞

44d.jpg King's Ring (S)(H)

Acquire the King's Ring

To get this trophy you will have to beat Velstadt in the Undead Crypt. The path to getting here leads from the last trophy (Looking Glass Knight (S)).

1. You will take an elevator down to the Shrine of Amena

2. Beat the Demon of Song boss in the Shrine.

3. Progress through the Undead Crypt and fight Velstadt.

4. Head in the undead Vendrick's location after you beat Velstadt, get the ring and leave without attacking Vendrick.

Video guides for the Shine walkthrough and on the bosses needed to get the Ring and the King Ring's specific location are below:

f38.jpg  - Ancient Dragon (S)(H)

Acquire Ashen Mist Heart

After getting the King Ring you will have to reach the Ancient Dragon and speak to him in order to acquire this key. The path to get to him is outlined below:

1. From the Shaded Woods fork bonfire head down the middle path and open the door with the King Ring.

2. Fight your way through Aldia's Keep and beat the Guardian Dragon Boss

3. Progress through the Dragon Aerie and reach the Dragon Shrine.

4. Fight your way to the top of the Dragon Shrine and speak to the Ancient Dragon.

Make note that you cannot summon players to help you through the Dragon areas in the game because the Ancient Dragon is not hostile before you meet him, so after the Guardian Dragon you will have to beat your way up to the Dragon by yourself.

843.jpg  - The Heir (G)(H)

See the ending

After using Ashen Mist Heart to acquire the 4 Soul of a Giant you will be able to challenge the final boss of the game. 3 of them are in the Forest of Fallen Giants and 1 is in the Black Gulch. Below is the path you will need to take to see the ending of the game:

1. Find all 4 Soul of a Giant

2. Defeat Throne Watchers

3. Defeat Nashandra.

The only boss you really need to worry about is Nashandra, she can curse you quickly which makes you lose your humanity / health so destroy the hexes she places around herself to prevent being cursed. Watch out for her hand beam attack which deals a lot of damage when you are far away. If she approaches you then she will attack with her Scythe, be aware of that as well. She seems to take damage evenly from everything so use your strongest spells/weapons on her, she is an easy boss in the end. Video guides outlining the walkthrough and bosses are below:

COVENANT-RELATED TROPHIES

Listed in order you'll likely encounter them

646.jpg  - Covenant of the Fittest (B)(H)

Discover the covenant of the fittest

When you first reach Majula, head up a small path located to the right of the broken down archway behind the house where the Cat is. At the top of that path there is a statue where you can join the covenant.

b85.jpg  - Covenant of the Meek(B)(H)

Discover the covenant of the meek

To join this covenant you need to speak to the Crestfallen Warrior at the top of the hill behind the blacksmith's house. It's where the total deaths in Dark Souls is recorded. Keeping talking to him and you will be asked to join this covenant.

9a3.jpg  - Protector Covenant (B)(H)

Discover the covenant of the protectors

In order to get this trophy you will have to beat the optional boss Old Dragonslayer located at the top of the Heide's Tower of Flame. After you beat that boss you will be able to talk to Targray and join the covenant if you have a Token of Fidelity in your inventory. They can be obtained by co-oping and beating bosses with other players as a phantom or found in Hunstman Copse. See the video for how to beat the Old Dragonslayer:

0b0.jpg  - Clangorous Covenant (B)(H)

Discover the clangorous covenant

You will be able to join this covenant by access the Belfry Luna after reaching the Servant's Quarters bonfire after the Ruin Sentinel Sisters boss fight. There will be a ladder leading down from the room the bonfire is is. Head down the ladder and use a Pharros' Lockstone to open the wall and gain access to the Belfry Luna. Talk to the midget as soon as you open the door over and over until he asks you to join. You can also join this covenant when you reach the Iron Keep after the Smelter Demon if you open the door when you enter the lava room past the 2 turtle knights you can gain access to the Belfry Sol and join there as well.

fdd.jpg  - Gnawing Covenant (B)(H)

Discover the covenant of rodents

To join this covenant you have to gain access to the Grave of the Saints by fall down the giant hole in Majula to the platforms below. Wait until you have the Silver Cat's Ring/Boots or have access to Gilligan's ladder building. Once in the Grave of Saints you will have to fight the mini-boss to reach the Rat King and join the covenant. The boss fight can be annoying because there are lots of rats attacking you, I suggest using a strong area of effect spell/weapon such as Force, Firestorm, :r2: on 2-handed Halberd etc.

1ea.jpg  - Sanguinary Covenant (B)(H)

Discover the covenant of the bloodthirsty

In order to join this covenant, you need to defeat the optional boss in the Undead Purgatory i.e the Executioner's Chariot. From the Undead Lockaway bonfire in Hunstman's Copse make your way through the hidden path and across the large bridge. After you beat the boss you will meet Titchy Gren at the Undead bonfire. In order to join the covenant you will need to have invaded someone in some shape or form. See the video below for how to reach and beat the boss (Credit to WikiGameGuides😞

be1.jpg  - Brilliant Covenant (B)(H)

Discover a most brilliant covenant

You will be able to join this covenant you will have to have reached Harvest Valley. Before you enter the building where the boss is head to the right instead and take that path, there will be an enemy with 2 sickle weapons guarding the area to the shrine to join, defeat him and progress to join the covenant and get the trophy!

2bb.jpg  - Covenant of Ancients (B)(H)

Discover an ancient covenant

You'll have to do some work to get this covenant. It's a 2 part process, first you'll have to get the Petrified Dragon Egg from the Dragon Shrine and then you'll have to bring it to the merchant Magerold at the Iron Keep. Give it to him and then he'll allow you to join the covenant. See the video for a complete walkthrough on how to do it:

83a.jpg  - Abysmal Covenant (B)(H)

Discovery the abysmal covenant

In order to join this covenant you'll have to speak with Darkdiver Grandahl at 3 locations throughout the game. Below are where you will meet him:

1. From the Shaded Ruins bonfire in the Shaded Woods head out to where you see the enemies and go all the way to the right past the 2 towers and the boss pathway into an area where there is some long grass. You'll fall down onto the dark shrine and Darkdiver will be there.

2. In the Black Gulch when you get the Forgotten Key from beating the giants (part of the story) head back up to the top part of the gulch and then head to where the 2 worm creatures come out of the wall. There is a platform you can fall down onto in between the 2 worms, then find the another platform below it and use the Forgotten Key to gain access to Darkdiver.

3. The final location is under Drangleic Castle. When you reach the King's Gate bonfire, the open room where the Sentinels attack you get the door on the left closest to the golem to open. Enter that room and you will fall down to get the Forgotten Chamber bonfire. Darkdiver is right there.

736.jpg  - Selfless Giver (G)

Max-out devotion to covenant

If you are going for platinum you have to max out 2 covenants (Heirs to the Sun and Pilgrims of Dark) in order to get their rank 3 miracle and hex.

Maxing out Pilgrims of Dark just requires you to beat all 3 of Darkdiver's dungeons (Dark Chasm of Old). Be aware that you will have to offer a Human Effigy to Darkdiver every time you want to attempt a dungeon so it's best to make sure you do not die too much when attempting the dungeons. Also be sure to bring Flame Butterflies in order to light the giant torches in the dungeons. Getting this to rank 3 will get you the Climax hex and Darklurker's Soul which is required for Lifedrain Patch hex (trading to Straid). I recommend you watch the 3 videos below for how I beat the dungeons so you do not get caught off guard and end up wasting Effigies:

Maxing out Heirs to the Sun just means being in the Sunlight Covenant and acquiring 30 Sunlight Medals and giving them as offerings to the Sunlight Shrine. Below is how you can get the Sunlight Medals (taken from the Dark Souls II Wiki):

- Random from from the giants ridden by hollows in the Harvest Valley area

- Random Drop From Falconers in starting area (NG+)

- Can be obtained by helping another player beat a boss while in the Heirs of the Sun covenant

- Can be obtained by defeating a boss with a player who is in the Heirs of the Sun Covenant

- Can be obtained by phantom after summoning time limit expires (Phantom Duty Fulfilled)

NPC-RELATED TROPHIES

All these trophies are missable if you KILL any of the following NPCs.

*If you do not kill anyone the only true missable trophy is the Lucatiel trophy though*

911.jpg  - Change of Clothes (S)(H)

Give Rosabeth of Melfia something to wear

As part of the story you will need to unpetrify Rosabeth in order to gain access to the Shaded Woods. When you use the Fragrant Branch of Yore on her talk to her and she'll ask you for some equipment. Give her anything (it doesn't matter how much or how little) and you will get the trophy and she will return to Majula. See the video for where she is and how to do the trophy if you need more assistance:

32d.jpg  - Reflections on Disembodiment (S)(H)

Inherit equipment from the head of Vengarl

Very easy trophy, when you have access to the Shaded Woods, from the Fork bonfire head into the foggy pathway and hug the left wall until you reach a sort of shrine like area. Look for a pile of rocks and you'll find Vengral's head. Talk to him until he allows you buy stuff and then talk to him some more and he'll give you his piece of equipment. See the video posted below for a walkthrough:

4e1.jpg  - Garrulous Miser (S)(H)

Inherit Laddersmith Gilligan's equipment

After you beat Earthen Peak, Gilligan will appear near the giant hole in Majula. Simply talk to him and have him build a ladder for 12,000 souls and then talk to him some more and you will get his equipment and this trophy.

040.jpg  - Smith for Life (S)(H)

Inherit Steady Hand McDuff's equipment

First you will need to find McDuff in The Last Bastille. He is shortly after you encounter the Heide Knight in The Lost Bastille, you head down the ladder beat the wolves and his room is the locked door you encounter after that before heading up some stairs. You can use the Bastille Key to unlock his room or have an enemy roll the explosive barrel down the stairs and blowing open the wall revealing a bonfire and granting you access to McDuff. From there you will get the Dull Ember from the Iron Keep which is just before the Smelter Demon boss at the other end of the walkway from the fog door you will need to make a jump to a platform.

After you can use McDuff you will need to just keep spending souls on his equipment/smithing/infusing. I know I got this trophy after I spent 50,000 souls on smithing, some 20,000 souls on equipment and over 10,000 on Infusion. Reports are varying but just keep spending souls at this smith and keep talking to him after you spend a lot and you will get the trophy.

5e9.jpg  - Gathering of Exiles (S)(H)

Increase the population of Majula

In order to do this trophy you will have to get certain merchants and NPCs to pack up shop and move to Majula. It's a simple trophy that you get by simply spending some souls on the merchant's items and then exhausting all their dialogue options which is done by talking to them until they repeat their last lines over and over. The NPCs you will have to get to move are:

- Merchant Hag Melentia - She is at the Cardinal Tower bonfire in the Forest of Fallen Giants

- Cale the Cartographer - He is hidden away in a tree in Forest of Fallen Giants (See Curious Map for more details)

- Licia of Lindeldt - She is at the Tower of Flame bonfire after you beat the Dragonslayer in Heide's Tower of Flame

- Carhillion Of The Fold - He is located in No Man's Wharf right before you go down the walkway to board the ship you will see him sitting across from the boss ship. He is really uptight and won't talk to you unless you have 9 intelligence or more. I had to use a soul vessel to respec my character in order to talk to him and get him to move.

- Stone Trader Chloanne - She up the hill from the Poison Pool bonfire in Harvest Valley

- Laddersmith Gilligan - Simply beat Earthen Peak and he'll just show up in Majula, you don't even need to engage him at Earthen Peak.

- Rosabeth of Melfia - Give her any piece of equipment after you unpetrify her.

147.jpg  - Holder of the Fort (S)(H)

Inherit Captain Drummond's equipment

When you have the Ashen Mist Heart you will need to go to the Cardinal Tower bonfire and open the door that required the King Ring. This will give you access to the The Place Unbeknownst bonfire. From here you will want to enter the Memory of Jeigh and defeat the Giant boss. Get the Giant Soul and then return to the Cardinal Tower bonfire and go to the Memory of Vammer that is where Drummond is. Simply talk to him over and over and he will give you his equipment. See the videos posted below, in the 2nd video at the 58 second mark I run past Drummond.

56e.jpg  - Gesture Maestro (S)

Learn all gestures

You learn gestures from NPCs you meet throughout the game. See this google document created by Nyxil for all the gestures and their requirements: LINK

df5.jpg  - Curious Map (S)(H)

Light all flames on the map in Majula

You need to talk to Cale the Cartographer and have him return to Majula. Cale is located inside a giant tree which you can access by going down the ladder from the Cardinal Tower Bonfire and across a Tree Root ontop some rooftops where enemies are. There is a hole in the wall on the other side, when you enter the hole a boulder will roll down and try to hit you. This is where Cale is. Once you talk to him enough he gives you a key to the basement of the mansion in Majula. Speak to him some more and he'll return there.

Once he is back there you need to defeat 8 of the main bosses in the game which will happen with normal story progression (including the final boss Nashandra) and then in the post game before you go to NG+ return the basement of the mansion in Majula and speak with Cale. He will give you his equipment and this trophy will be yours.

752.jpg  - Moonlight Greatsword (S)(H)

Inherit Benhart of Jugo's equipment

This is one of the more annoying trophies in the game. What you have to do for this trophy is summon Benhart for at least 3 boss fights and have him survive at least 3 of them. For example you can summon him for 4 boss fights and have him only survive 3 and you can still get this trophy. After you've done that you will have to meet Benhart in every location and exhaust all dialogue options in order for him to finally show up in the Memory of Orro as soon as you enter the Memory of that Giant. Speak with him there and he will give you his equipment and this trophy is yours.

By talking to Benhart in certain spots you will be allowed to summon him for certain fights. Below is the list of where you can talk to him and summon him:

1. Before the petrified Rosabeth, and then again after you've unpetrified her.

- This will allow you to summon him at the Royal Army Campsite bonfire, inside one of the tents. You'll have to go with him through the level until you reach the Prowling Magus and Congregation boss fight.

2. At the Central Castle Drangleic bonfire.

- His summon sign will be right outside the Looking Glass Knight battle

3. Near the crow's nest (after the Pursuer Boss battle in the Forest of Fallen Giants) + Inside the Memory of Orro.

- You will be able to summon him in the Memory of Jeigh down the stairs from where you start.

4. You can also summon him at the Throne Watcher boss battle (and he'll automatically stay for the Nashandra fight if you automatically are put into the final boss fight after you beat the Throne Watchers but he only needs to survive the Throne Watcher battle).

You do not have to meet the NPCs or fight the bosses in the order they were listed. You can also summon them for the same boss in the same playthrough by using Bonfire Ascetics as confirmed by players.

If Benhart dies, you can simply choose to die and redo the boss battle resummoning him or quit the game and reload it and summon him again. If you've already completed a boss battle I would recommend just trying to go for this trophy in NG+ but you ca use the Bonfire Ascetic item on the bonfire closest to the boss to respawn that boss and summon Benhart for that battle again. I do not advise doing that because the bosses will be harder making it harder for Benhart to survive, so only do that if you are extremely overpowered and can kill the boss quickly or have another strong human phantom to help you kill the boss before Benhart is killed.

41d.jpg  - Lucatiel (S)(H)

Inherit equipment from Lucatiel of Mirrah

This trophy is missable, if you end up talking to Lucatiel in every point of the game so that she shows up at Aldia's Keep and you did not fight 3 bosses with her and have her survive she will disappear from the game.

In order to get this trophy you need have talked to Lucatiel and exhausted all dialogue options with her whenever you see her in the game. You then need to summon her and have her survive 3 of the 4 possible boss fights.

The places you see her are:

1. No man's Wharf Bonfire.

- Allows her to be summon for the Versatile Sentry Boss. Her signal will be near the door where you pulled the level to get a shortcut passing through the level.

2. Lost Bastille (McDuff Bonfire) - Head straight up the stairs, beat the enemies and she is in the tower.

- This will allow you to summon for for the Lost Sinner (Sinner's Rise) boss battle. Her signal will be in the basement after you take the elevator down to the holding cell area.

3. Lower Earthen Keep Bonfire.

- This will allow you to summon her for the Smelter Demon (Iron Keep) boss fight. Her summon sign will be right before the boss door.

4. Black Gulch (Mouth Bonfire) - Under that bonfire, you have to drop down to a small exposed ledge right outside the bonfire.

- This will allow you to summon her for the The Rotten (Black Gulch) boss, her signal will be at the Hidden Chamber bonfire in the Black Gulch

5. Aldia's Keep (Foregarden) - This is where she gives you the equipment, she will only show up here if you've talked to her in every other location.

You do not have to meet the NPCs or fight the bosses in the order they were listed. You can also summon them for the same boss in the same playthrough by using Bonfire Ascetics as confirmed by players.

If Lucatiel dies you can simply choose to die and redo the boss battle resummoning him or quit the game and reload it and summon him again. If you've already completed a boss battle I would recommend just trying to go for this trophy in NG+ but you ca use the Bonfire Ascetic item on the bonfire closest to the boss to respawn that boss and summon Lucatiel for that battle again. I do not advise doing that because the bosses will be harder making it harder for Benhart to survive, so only do that if you are extremely overpowered and can kill the boss quickly or have another strong human phantom to help you kill the boss before Lucatiel is killed.

MISC TROPHIES

5b9.jpg  - This is Dark Souls (B)

Die for the first time

You'll get this trophy when you die. Whether it's by enemy or falling off the map. Practically unmissable.

414.jpg  - Supreme Weapon (S)

Reinforce a weapon to its limit

To get this trophy you need to reinforce one of your regular weapons or shields to +10 or reinforce special boss soul weapons/shields to +5 at any blacksmith in the game. Reinforcing a regular weapon to +10 is much easier since it only requires the 4 forms of titanite versus the petrified dragon bone stones required to upgrade boss soul weapons. What I recommend is find a weapon you like and start upgrading it, below is what you'll need to upgrade a weapon to the max:

6 Titanite Shards

6 Large Titanite Shards

6 Titanite Chunks

1 Titanite Slab.

You can purchase all of those items after you've defeated the final boss from Stone Trader Chloanne in post game when she is in Majula. So do not stress if you don't find the titanite throughout the game.

799.jpg  - Vendrick (S)(H)

Defeat Vendrick

Vendrick is the undead King of Drangleic that you see wondering around aimlessly after you beat the boss Velstadt in the Undead Crypt. You do not want to fight him when you see him though because he has a 30x defense bonus multipler and will take forever to kill. What you need to do is gather the Souls of the Giants in order to weaken his defense bonus. You get 4 Souls of the Giant automatically through Story progression after you acquire the Ashen Mist Heart (See The Heir (G) trophy for the videos on where to get the Souls of the Giants). This is good enough to fight him and beat him with ease but getting the 5th Soul of a Giant will make him even easier. In order to get the 5th Soul you will have to kill the Ancient Dragon. Yes, the giant dragon that gives you the Ashen Mist Heart. This is no easy task but it is doable so it's totally up to you what you want to do. I've uploaded 2 videos of beating the Ancient Dragon and beating Vendrick with all 5 Giant Souls for reference. Having all 5 Giant souls will allow your weapons to do their base damage to Vendrick.

SPELL-RELATED TROPHIES

what does 1000 pvp wins do? i kinda interested if it means i only gotta do 1 playthrough

Gets you the miracles and pyromancy that you can only buy on NG++

If you get 500 PvP wins in the Brotherhood of Blood while wearing their ring you get the Great Chaos Fireball

If you get 500 PvP wins while in the Blue Sentinels you get Wrath of God and Bountiful Sunlight.

i know its probably longer this way but would it be easier to do pvp instead of 2th and 3th playthrough? (buying this game soon i think)

so i did the sentry boss with Bonfire Ascetic @ 2 (NG+) and managed to make Lucatiel survive the whole fight and then used another Ascetic making it (NG++) but looks i'm stuck there coz she dies really quick :( and looks i will be stuck there forever.

also did the rotten with her on NG no problem, so now i'm torn between smacking my head to the wall and keep trying the sentry boss on hope something goes right or should i burn an Ascetic @ the rotten making it (NG+) ??

It took me around 2 hours at level 175 to play 60 matches of which I won 50. Considering you can run NG+ and NG++ in about 5-10 hours each I would say doing the extra 2 playthroughs is much faster but PvP is really fun but it would take forever and you have to be good in order to get the wins.

I haven't tested using the same boss to keep Lucatiel alive, I would think you would have to do 3 of the 4 bosses. Also it makes it very hard when you use the Ascetic on the bonfires cause it levels up the boss to NG+ while Lucatiel is still on first playthrough stats.

True, I did 2 already. but what would the best option. as i did the rotten with here, i summoned someone who toke all the heat from her and every thing went smooth.

looks like the rotten will be the best option for sure but the thing is that i need to fight him again in NG+ and NG++, i wounder if he is manageable @ NG+++ after using 1 Ascetic on him.

and one more question... I should use the Ascetic on the hidden chamber bonfire right ?

Honestly I think the best option is waiting for NG+, you have to do all the bosses again anyways why make them NG+ difficulty on your first playthrough?

The NPCs that help you are also stronger in NG+ but don't level up with the use of the Ascetic.

If you are confident in beating the bosses quickly though then you can use the ascetic but it'll still make the subsequent playthroughs harder.
