CZTiger
I was wondering how do you know when you have successfully countered? Also, for it to count as a counter do I have to hit Square or triangle after or just before I get hit. (Obviously I know I have to be holding down L2 the whole time)
nimrod
When a counter is successfull, the time will slow done for a small window, during that time you have to press or to hit the enemie back. And no, you do not have to press/hold down the whole time. It works like in GoW where hold down to block, but you have to press it right before an attack to actually counter it. If you hold it down all the time you will only block. And be sure to equip the Relic wich increases the counter time window (sorry forgot the name). CaptainZombie
Where is the best place to get this trophy? Edited January 30, 2011 by CaptainZombie
broadsword93
I got it pretty easily on the Shores of Archeron. Right before you get to Charon there is a bridge where there are two flying harpy type things that keep respawning over and over. With a bit of practice you will get it there. You need to buy the unholy flying countermeasures ability (don't remember it's name).

ZOLANTON
where should i go too get the countermeaseur trophy Any place is good. If you want to have time and enemies I suggest the challenges part near the end.
CZTiger
The countermeasures trophy is cumulative throughout your game playthrough. I did not farm this in one area. I just did it on my half playthrough or speed run for the other side of the holy/unholy spectrum.
LoJac963
it was mentioned you have to do it RIGHT before the enemy attacks. Is this when the golden org I guess you could call it happens and the enemy gets knocked back-attack then?? Or is that something different? boobiejones
Yes you have successfully countered an enemy if you get the golden aura around you.
watersoulhealer
I've been trying to get this trophy. I press L2 get the gold aura, press Square or triangle and nothing happens Any help would be great
Fire Emblem
You must kill to the enemies using the counter, a great place to do it is the very beggining where 2 flying things spawn until you cross a bridge. Just remember press L2 for the counter and then press triangle to kill them, repeat until get the trophy, it is better do it in easy.
watersoulhealer
I have tried that I press L2 and triangle but nothing happens he doesn't even attack back. When should I press triangle, immediately, or slightly after.
Fire Emblem
They attack, you press defense and a golden aura appears, in that moment the game is in "slow-motion" which is the moment to press triangle.
Cangriman
I can't see to counter enemies. I don't see any slow-motion moment. I definitely see I block the attack since I get the gold aura and I have press square or triangle and I don't get to hit back. You know how the gold aura goes from small to big I even press square or triangle in every moment that aura is up, I even hit it when I see the enemy knock back but I can't get any result... I don't know why this is so hard.
Seasonreaper
Months late so you've probably figured it out, but you guys who can't initiate an attack during the gold aura, did you actually buy the counter skill from the Unholy tree? It sounds like you didn't. Probably quite easy to miss if you decided to run Holy without checking out what each of the upgrades do in the skilltree. Fettster777
Its a lot easier if you do the L2 and then O move which knocks back all enemies. Just do it on Minions and you can kill several at once.
