Road Map

Overview

Create is basically a puzzle solving game, it gives you various situations (Challenges) which you must solve with the gameplay objects given to you. There is never a time limit and you have as many tries as you need.

NOTE: This trophy guide is based on using the dual shock controller not the Move controller.

Either can be used to fully complete the game.

Step One - Complete Create Worlds

Your first step should be to get the offline world based trophies. There are 14 worlds. You unlock new worlds for reaching a certain number of sparks and you will earn a trophy for each world you unlock. As well there are trophies for reaching a certain number of sparks (100, 284, 501 and 610).

Each world has a different theme, but the types of challenges are the same. Each world will have the following types of challenges:

Object Challenge – You have to get a key object to a goal and are awarded a fixed number of sparks at the end. You are always given a small selection of gameplay objects to use, and a limit to the total number of objects you can place.

Pick-up Party – You have to get the key object to the goal and collect sparks along the way, the number of sparks you collect in the process reflects the number you are awarded at the end. These challenges usually mean taking the less direct route to the goal in order to collect all the sparks.

Contraption-o-matic -You are given five basic parts (drive wheel, hinge, grinder, small block and large block) you must use these parts to build a machine to help an object reach the goal. Depending on the challenge this could mean building a pushing machine, a carrying machine or a throwing machine or even building both a machine and a bridge.

There is always a limit to the number of parts you can use in each challenge, the less parts you use the more sparks you are awarded. The challenge brief will tell you what the part limit and sparks awarded is.

Scoretacular – You are given a large selection of all of the gameplay objects you have unlocked up to that point and are only limited in the number of objects you can place, by the limits of what the game can handle (a budget bar will appear on screen once you begin to get close to the limit). You are given points for every object the key object touches.

You must reach a certain score level to earn a certain number of sparks, for example score 15,000 points for three sparks, 30,000 for six sparks.

Remember, since you have all gameplay objects available to you that you have unlocked, if you have trouble with a scoretacular, simply come back to it later once you have unlocked more gameplay objects, which may help you reach higher scores.

You will need to collect every spark in the world challenges, since to get the platinum you have to have collected every single spark in the game. But you can replay challenges at any time once you unlock a challenge, so if you get stuck don’t worry you can move on and come back to it later.

Step Two - Create Chains

Each world also has five bonus sparks for completing Create chains. A create chain is simply completing a series of decorations. When you are in a world or a challenge you will see a tool icon in the top left corner of the screen, this tells you that there is an active create chain.

Once you see the tool icon and that there is an active create chain, look for a beam of light (press :r1: to zoom out may help you find it). Once you have found the beam of light you simply have to decorate to area in the beam of light with the tool shown in the top left corner of the screen. Once you place the correct decoration type, the beam of light will move, follow it and repeat the process. Once you have completed a few correct decorations, it completes the chain and you will be awarded a spark.

Step Three – Online Trophies

See individual trophies for information.

Step Four – Clean up

Most trophies should be unlocked in the course of normal gameplay and completing challenges. But there are a few that you may need to replay challenges to unlock, these are: Working up an Appetite, Impressionist, On Safari, Raging Debate, Grand Design, Michael Multiplier, Down, but not out. Please see trophy list below for details on each trophy.

General Tips

None of the challenges are hard, while some may seem impossible at first, believe me you will figure it out pretty soon. The key is persistence and trial and error. The first few worlds should be pretty straight forward and not take much effort.

The later challenges will be more complicated, but still not hard; it will simply be a lot of trial and error of experimenting with all sorts of different approaches to the problem and perfecting the timing. Timing is an important aspect, especially on the later challenges; you will probably have to do a lot of minor tinkering with gameplay objects to get the timing just right.

In Scoretacular challenges simply place lots of bumpers along the key objects path to the goal; as the key object hits the bumpers over and over you will form combos and rack up the points.

If you get stuck you can try to search for solutions. There are two ways to do this:

1. From: Dhiraj1:

Edit: I think i found the way. Use their official site-

Initlanguage

U can narrow ur results according to platform and/or level. With users from pc, xbox and ps3 all in same place... i think we will have enough solutions. I especially would think the solutions for the scoretacular or contraptions challenges would be more beneficial.

Official site: Initlanguage

2. From: RappappaR:

You can search in-game. Go to "My Gallery" and scroll to either "Lucky Dip" or "Top Rated" then hit Triangle. Pick your Level and Type (such as "Theme Park" and "Challenge 5") then hit Search.

The description speaks for its self; Collect 100 Sparks.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/694/36.jpgImpressionist (B)

Use every brush in Paint mode

Simply go to Free Create, go to your menu, brush tools, and paint brush, now just paint once with each brush type until the trophy pops up.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/694/37.jpg On Safari (B)

Place all types of animals throughout the game

Simply go to your menu, select world tools, then creatures and start placing one of each. You can’t place them all at once, so you will have to reset your creation after placing several, simply place several different creatures at a time until you have placed them all. Since earning sparks also unlocks one game element, such as creatures, decorations, stickers, etc. You will have to earn most of the sparks to have unlocked all creatures.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/694/38.jpgRaging Debate (B)

Place the Create team's favourite animal!

I forgot placing which creature unlocked this for me, but you will certainly earn it in the process of On Safari.

From hairytoenail:

The Animal is the Penguin.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/694/39.jpgFree Creator (B)

Save a Creation or a Challenge from within the Free Create level.

Simply go to Free Create, add something, anything and save it. You will need 40 sparks to unlock Free Create.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/694/41.jpgWorking up an Appetite (B)

Eat 50 slices of toast within Challenges (not player generated Challenges)

There are not a lot of challenges that have a toaster and plate, so you probably won’t unlock this in the course of normal game play. Simply go to a scoreacular challenges, since you have access to all gameplay objects you have unlocked and place a automatic toaster and a plate next to the toaster. Make sure the toast lands on the plate (which eats it) then press start, the toaster shoots out one piece of toast per round, so after it’s done, stop and start again and repeat. Adding more toasters and plates will speed up the process.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/694/42.jpgGrand Design (B)

Solve a Contraption-o-Matic Challenge with a contraption built of 40 or more parts.

Since your goal is to use as few parts as possible to earn the most sparks, you probably won't get this one in the course of normal game play. Simply go to a contraption-o-Matic challenge that allows you to use at least 40 parts and add 40 parts, but it still has to work and solve the challenge.

I recommend replaying one you have solved before (your previous solutions are saved by auto save) and simply add more parts as long as they don’t stop it from working.

Reach a x20 multiplier in a Scoretacular Challenge

If you don’t get this one in normal gameplay, simply replay a Scoretacular Challenge and add bumpers all around the key object, it will bounce off them like crazy and not be able to get out. You don’t have to solve the challenge to get the trophy just get to a x20 multiplier.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/694/44.jpgPop! (B)

Lots of challenges use balloons and pop them; this will be unlocked in the course of normal gameplay.

Use every type of rocket within Challenges (not player generated Challenges)

This will probably not be unlocked in normal game play. Simply go to a Scoretacular Challenge and place anything that is a rocket then start the challenge.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/694/46.jpgString 'em Up (B)

Balloons have strings, and you will use a lot of balloons this will be unlocked in the course of normal game play.

Do u know how to make the create chain appear in a world? I didnt realise to them all while doing challenges in World 1. I realised it when i was down to my last 3 challenges.

So i got 3/5 create chains done in that world 1...as each score chain appears after doing 1 challenge.

Now i cant get these 2 to appear, thus, cant get my last 2 sparks of the world 1. I did a couple of challenges again...no luck. I went and finished world 2 compeltely too and still it didnt appear.

Appreciate any help regarding this.

They appear randomly. Just go back to world 1 and wait, you may have to wait a few minutes, but it should appear again.

When I had a chance of getting my PS3 (probably this weekend), I'm going to tell how many stars do you need to entry in every world (in case of you need them).

And I think that pressing three times :r2:, you go to the EA Picks, if you need to put into the guide.

Yes, please let me know! I would really like that. I did not plan on making a guide at frist so did not write it down and I can't check it anymore now that all worlds are unlocked

I think your right about the EA picks, but I'll check it to make sure, then add it.

Thanks

Ok i will surely try that...also is it possible for u to upload ur solutions on EA, so we can check them in case we get stuck somewhere?

Thats a good idea, but there are a lot of challenges it would be time consuming to upload all solutions, plus most are not that hard.

But if you and others give me an idea of which challenges might be tricky where help could be needed, I can upload solutions to those.

What about the solutions u think are tricky to start off with? Also solutions of later levels? If i get stuck somewhere, i will make a list...but something to start off with.

Well ideally there should be working solutions up on the server for every single stage. As I've been slowly playing through (not much time this holiday season) if I get to a stage that I thought was tricky and I notice there is no solution I go ahead and upload mine. If everyone does the same thing the whole game should eventually be covered. :)

hey, does anyone know if the impressionist trophy is glitched? i used all paint types from every paint mode, even use every world object mode, and scenario object. still no trophy

I think you unlock different brush types as you go. Not sure how much progress you have made, but you might have to unlock more.

Do u know how can i search for solutions for stages?

I don't believe there is a search function. Which will make it sort of hard for people to find any solutions that are uploaded to go along with this thread.

I Wish I could do video capture from my ps3 and add it to youtube.

How stupid is that...easy option of uploading your solutions to EA but no way of finding others...waste of a function.

Edit: I think i found the way. Use their official site-

U can narrow ur results according to platform and/or level. With users from pc, xbox and ps3 all in same place... i think we will have enough solutions. I especially would think the solutions for the scoretacular or contraptions challenges would be more beneficial.

I am having an issue with 5-9. I get the tractor to the end location, but nothing happens. Anyone else have similar issues? It's a scoretacular level and it says to get the tractor to the top platform, I do so but the level does not end, and there isn't one of those "end waypoints".

EDIT: NVM found my mistake :)

U might wanna add that you cant get the Free Creator trophy until you have unlocked 40 create chains sparks. Because thats when the Free Creator becomes accessible...so potentially after World 8.

Also why is Creative Pride missable? I think its unmissable as you can just go back to the worls, wait for a couple of minutes, create chain icon appears, do it...rinse and repeat. Once 5 are done in any world, you will get the trophy.

Ok thanks I will add that part.

But I think that it is missiable once you have done all the create chain parks in a world no more create chain icons appear, or am I wrong here? Have you tried this in world where all 5 create chain sparks have been completed?
