Introduction:

Close Quarters is the 2nd DLC for DICE's big FPS, battlefield 3. This time however, it focuses much more on infantry styled gameplay, hence the name. There is no vehichles in this DLC and the maps are limited to only 16 players instead of the usual 24. However you will be able to get 10 all new weapons trough the new assignments, 4 all new maps, and 2 new game modes have also been introduced. No matter what, if you're a battlefield fan, you don't wanna miss out on this DLC.

Overview:

- Estimated trophy difficulty: 3/10 (My personal rating)

- Offline trophies: 0

- Online trophies: 5 ( 3 (B) and 2 (S) )

- Approximate time to earn all trophies: 8+ hours

- Playtroughs needed: None

- Missable trophies: None

- Glitched trophies: None that I'm aware of

- Do cheats effect trophies? No cheats

- Does difficulty effect trophies? No all trophies can be gained on normal or hardcore.

Roadmap:

Step 1: Get all trophies but "Show of Force"

All trophies but "Show of Force" can easily be gotten within 1-2 hours. These trophies include: Dominator

(B), Deadly tools (S), Men of Calibre (B) and Grinding the Crack (B). None of these should pose much of a problem for anyone.

Step 2: Complete all the assignments and get 10 kills with all guns

For this step, you want to aim for the trophy Show of Force

(S) which requires you to get 10 kills with all 10 new Close Quarters weapons. However the guns can only be unlocked by completing the certains guns assignment. Completing these shouldn't be too hars, but it will take some time. Also take note, all the assignments can be done on ANY map, not just the Close Quarter maps (Except those that requires a specific CQ requirement. Etc. Place in the top 5 in gunmaster). Also you don't have to unlock the new dogtags too, just the guns.

Won a round of Conquest Domination

Very easy. This is one of the 2 new gamemodes added in the DLC, together with Gunmaster. This gamemode however can only be played on the Close Quarters maps, not any other. This gamemode works almost the same as normal Conquest. However the maps are much smaller, there is always only 3 flags, and the default ticket setting is alwyas only at 100 and only 16 players is allowed, apposed to the usual 24. But the rules are the same as normal Conquest. The one controlling more than half (on these maps, it means 2) flags, the other team will lose 1 ticket each 3 seconds. Also killing an enemy will take 1 ticket away from the other team. First to reach 0 tickets, loses. Capturing a flag is easy. Stand close to it (In this case VERY close, due to the smaller maps) and wait for the flag to be captured. Remeber, Red = Enemy flag, White = Neutral flag and Blue = Friendly flag. Note that capturing a flag takes much shorter time than usual Conquest. So It's all about winning just once. If you see yourself loosing a lot, you might want to find a couple of guys to play with here: Co-op Partners Thread (Read First Post!)

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/883/46.jpg Deadly Tools (S)

Without dying, get a kill with a Carbine, Pistol and Rocket Launcher

Carbine = The usual primary weapon of the engineer, M4A1, G36c etc.

Pistol = Any sidearm. It can be a semi-auto pistol like an M9, or a fully-auto like a G18. It doesn't matter, as long as it's a sidearm.

Rocket Launcher = Any launcher counts here. It could be the SMAW, Stinger, Javelin. However things as a grenade launcher and so, does not count. I did it with the RPG-7v2.

But you have to get 1 kill with each of these three weapons in 1 life. That means no dying. Also this trophy is much easier than the Complete Warrior trophy in Back to Karkand.

Also I would reccomend to start out with the launcher kill. This is usually the worst to get a kill with, so start out with that. Then take the pistol, or carbine after. Doesn't really matter though. Do what you find easiest. Also remember, this can be done on ANY map. If you need a boosting partner, go to this thread: Trophy Boosting Thread (Read First Post!)

Completed a round of Gun Master

This is the other new gamemode in the DLC. It's very simple, yet fun gamemode. Many COD players may know this as "gungame". You see you are 2 teams with 8 players on each. All players starts with the same weapon and must then get kills with this weapon to advance to the next weapon. You need 2 kills with each weapon to get up a rank. In total there is 17 ranks, thus a total of 34 kills. The team who has the first person to get a kill with the last weapon (a knife) will win. However, this trophy only requires you to complete the gamemode, not win it. So it should be easy enough.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/883/47.jpg Grinding the Crack (B) Secret trophy

Fell over the edge on Ziba Tower

The only secret trophy in the DLC. You see Ziba Tower is a map in the new DLC. The map is going on at the top of a skyscraper. All you have to do is find an edge and... Well, jump. Once you have jumped, wait for the trophy to pop.

Assignment Guide!

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/883/48.jpg Show of force (S)

Got 10 kills with all ten CQ weapons

This is the hardest, and probably also the last trophy you will get. It only requires that you get 10 kills with all 10 new close quarter weapons. A total of 100 kills. However, you have to complete the specific guns assignments to be able to use that gun. You can however get to use some of the guns in gunmaster. Most of the new guns are in this gamemode free to use. However getting 10 kills will most likely require a total of 5 games, as you only use every gun for 2 kills. Also you can earn the kills by picking up the weapon/kit from a dead teammate/enemy who used the gun. You know you have 10 kills when you earn the first attachment on the gun. The first attachment will always unlock at 10 kills. Also you can check your battelog for more accurate stats

:D

Shepard - AUG A3

http://battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com/public/profile/bf3/assignments/2048/l/xp2a01.jpg?v=6000

- 10 Squad Revives

- 30 Assault Rifle Kills

Very easy one. Shouldn't be hard at all. You can work on both of them at the same time. A squad revive is when someone from your squad, marked by a green color, dies and you "get him back to life". That is done by using the defibrilator accesed on the "right arrow" on the controller. When someone can get revived there is a little skull icon on the minimap and on the screen. To get easy squad revives, simply work as a squad, and run around at all times. Whenever one dies, quickly get there and revive him.

Also getting 30 assault rifle kills should be REALLY easy. They are the main weapons for the assault class. These include weapons like M16A3, F2000 etc. If you want to speed it up, just play the Close Quarters maps or some TDM, and it will go fast.

Set us up the bomb - SCAR-L (Must complete AUG assignment first)

http://battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com/public/profile/bf3/assignments/2048/l/xp2a02.jpg?v=6000

- 20 kills with Underslung Grenade Launcher

- 15 kills with hand grenades

This one might be a little tricky. Grenade launcher kills should be very easy. The only grenade launcher available is the M320. However you can use the M320 as a grenade launcher, but also as a shotgun by using BUCK for it. You can use that if you aren't so lucky with the grenade launcher.

Grenade kills might be a little tricky. I would reccomend using the grenade/frag specialization. It will make you spawn with 2 instead of 1 grenade. Also using the support kit, will make it possible to ressuply yourself. The easiest way to get this is probably to play conquest domination, and just sapmming grenades at the enemy flags. Random grenades in TDM also works well. But it should come over time, as long as you use grenades enough.

No Shortage - L86A2

http://battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com/public/profile/bf3/assignments/2048/l/xp2a03.jpg?v=6000

- 20 squad resupplies

- 20 kills with Light Machine Guns

Yet another very easy assignment. The support kit has the ability to drop ammo boxes, thus being able to ressuply. You have to ressuply 20 times to your squadmates. One ressuply will give 1 mag total. On belt LMGs it will only give 25 bullets. It will ressuply for each 2-3 seconds. But a good way to get it, is by just dropping a ammo box whenever close to a squadmate. Chances are they will need at least a little ammo. Also throwing it at flags is effective too, as people will often crowd around those.

20 LMG kills don't really need explanation. It's the primary weapon of supports, and include weapons as M27 IAR, M60E4 etc. Getting 20 kills takes no time. Can easily be obtained in 1 match.

Point Blank - LSAT (Must complete L86A2 assignment first)

http://battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com/public/profile/bf3/assignments/2048/l/xp2a04.jpg?v=6000

- 10 kills with C4

- 10 knife takedowns

Pretty easy assignment too. C4 is available as an equipment for the support class. Easy way to do it, is by placing some on enemy tanks and other vehicles and then just exploding it. Another easy way I found, is by playing a conquest domination match, and placing some c4 on friendly flags. Once the flag start to flash and some enemies are standing there... BOOM! Chances are you will get some, as you have to be very close to capture a flag. So easy kills.

Knife takedowns are not just a knife kill. It's only when you perform a knife animation, not the simple "slash" attack. Getting 10 might be difficult. Also I wouldn't reccomend doing it on the close quarter maps, as they are very small and hard to flank in. Bigger maps might be better. Just try your best to flank enemies.

Done Fixing - ACW-R

http://battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com/public/profile/bf3/assignments/2048/l/xp2a05.jpg?v=6000

- 20 AT rocket kills

- 30 kills with carbines

Another pretty easy assignment. First of AT rocket is not any launcher. Only the SMAW or RPG-7v2 counts here. So the javelin and so, won't work. 20 kills is not much, so it shouldn't be that bad. But since launchers have very low splash damage, a direct impact is almost required to get a kill on a full health enemy. All I can say is you might want to attempt this on hardcore, due to players having less health, if you're having trouble.

30 kills with carbines is also very easy. As said before, the carbines are the primary weapon for the engineer. Just use any carbines for a total of 30 kills. Shouldn't take long.

My own Terminator - MTAR-21 (Must complete ACW-R assignment first)

http://battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com/public/profile/bf3/assignments/2048/l/xp2a06.jpg?v=6000

- Get a kill with EOD bot

- 100 kills with carbines

Takes a bit more time, but still very easy. The EOD bot is a piece of equipment for the engineer. It functions as a little "car". It's a little robot you can control. It's able to repair, arm and disarm M-COMs in RUSH and kill enemies of cause. You just have to kill an enemy with the EOD bot. There are 2 ways to do so. Killing the enemy by using the torch on them, or running them over at high speeds. I found the easiest way was to just have the EOD ready. When I then found a lonely sniper/camper, I pulled out the EOD bot and got an easy kill.

100 kills with carbines is the same as 30 kills, except, of cause, you need 100. Getting these shouldn't take too long either. So just use carbines enough to get a total of 100 kills.

Team Player - M417

http://battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com/public/profile/bf3/assignments/2048/l/xp2a07.jpg?v=6000

- 10 T-UGS assists

- Capture 20 flags

This one might seem hard but it's really easy. The T-UGS is a piece of equipment for the recon kit. It works as a motion sensor, that when placed, reveal all enemies around it. Crouching or going prone however, will hide one from the sensor. Getting a T-UGS assist (or Motion Sensor Spot Assist as it's called in game) is obtained by having a teammate killing an enemy your T-UGS have spotted. Simply place it in a firefight, or anywhere in a TDM or fast paced gamemode, where there will be a lot of killing.

Capturing 20 flags would take some time it it wasn't for conguest domination. In the 10min a default 100 ticket game lasts, you can easily get at least 10 flag captures. Simply stand close to a flag to capture it. Remeber you have to get the capture. That means if someone got there first, you will only get a "Flag Capture Assist". It has to say "Flag Captured". Shouldn't be hard, might just take a little time.

Bullet Point - JNG-90 (Must complete M417 assignment first)

http://battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com/public/profile/bf3/assignments/2048/l/xp2a08.jpg?v=6000

- 50 kills with Sniper Rifles

- Win 3 rounds of Conquest Domination

Still quite easy, but may take some time. 50 sniper kills might seem hard at first. However you don't have to use the slow firing bolt-action snipers. Just use a fast firing sniper like the MK11 or SKS, and give it a red dot sight or someting, to make it easier to use at medium range. Use TDM for faster kills.

Winning 3 rounds of conquest domination might require some luck and time. However refer to the trophy "Dominator" for more info.

These Hurt Too - SPAS-12

http://battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com/public/profile/bf3/assignments/2048/l/xp2a09.jpg?v=6000

- 20 kills with pistols

- 20 kills with shotguns

One of the easiest assignments. 20 kills with pistols are any sidearm actually. So using a M9, 93R, .44 Magnum or any sidearm, it doesn't matter, as long as it's a sidearm. 20 kills is easy. As mentioned, TDM is the way to go to earn easy and fast kills.

20 shotgun kills shouldn't be hard at all. Some shotguns include the M1014, DAO-12. USAS-12 etc. 20 kills is really easy. When using one, stick to the small areas. Shotguns have terrible range, so use them up close. You know the drill, TDM is the way to go.

Hold The Trigger - M5K (Must complete SPAS-12 assignment first)

http://battlelog-cdn.battlefield.com/public/profile/bf3/assignments/2048/l/xp2a10.jpg?v=6000

- Finish top5 in Gun Master

- 100 kills with Sub Machine Guns

Still a very easy assignment. First of, for some info on the game mode gunmaster, refer to the trophy "Men of Calliber". Due to there only being 16 players in gunmaster, you basically just need to be in the top 33%. You don't have to win, or get all the guns. As long as you are in the top 5 in kills. Shouldn't take many tries to get this. Just keep at it.

100 with Sub Machine Guns (SMGs) is also very easy. With SMGs, they mean Personnel Defense Weapons (PDWs). These include weapons as PP-2000, UMP-45, MP7 etc. They are available for all kits, just like shotguns. Remember what I told you soldier! TDM is the way ;)
