Introduction

This Clash Of The Titans game is tied in with the movie remake of the same name. It follows the path from the movie as well as adding extra missions and quests which are not featured in the film. If I had to compare this gameplay to any other game then I would have to say God Of War, although in my opinion it is nowhere near as good.

The story is relatively short and at times can be very taxing and can get repetitive quickly. Once you have completed the story you will unlock the ‘Realm Of The Gods’ area. In this are you have access to replay any mission quests and challenge quests. This is very helpful when you are going for the ‘S’ Ranks later on.

The trophies related to this game are easy to very hard in difficulty. There are trophies related to the story, combat, collecting, upgrading and other miscellaneous tasks.

I have had to base the difficulty and time to platinum on my own personal experience as I have yet to meet anyone else with the platinum. Please post in here/PM me with the time & difficulty you believe it should be, you must have the platinum for this though.

Step 1 – Complete The Game

Very simple stage. The story consists of 10 main chapters, but within each of these chapters there are smaller quests to be completed. As you go through the story you may unlock random trophies as well as story related trophies. You will also collect weapons and gifts which will help towards the harder trophies in the game, see steps 3 & 4 for more details.

As you completed each quest you will also be graded, there are 4 grades possible which are ‘C’ Rank, ‘B’ Rank, ‘A’ Rank & ‘S’ Rank. It is highly unlikely that you will get an ‘S’ rank the first time through a mission with an exception of one or two. So I recommend you forget about these until after you finish the story mode where you have the chance to replay any mission.

There is only one default difficulty level in this game so no trophies are related to beating the game on an easy/hard difficulty.

Step 2 – Replay Missions For 'S' Rank & Complete Challenge Quests To 'S' Rank

So after you complete the story you will unlock the ‘’Realm Of The Gods area’, this is where you have the chance to complete this step.

As you enter here you will only have a few statues to go to, interact with a statue and a list of previous missions will show up, now simply select which mission you need an ‘S’ rank in and complete it. Keep trying and improving until you find the necessary requirements for the ‘S’ rank. I recommend you see the ‘Height Of Olympus’ trophy below in the guide, it contains some important info and a link to an ‘S’ rank guide.

To unlock more statues in the ‘Real Of The Gods’ area (which hold missions) you need to complete challenge quests. These challenge quests can be found by walking up to the golden owl and interacting with it. Remember all these challenges also need to be completed to an ‘S’ rank.

Step 3 – Collect All Sub-Weapons

As you go through the game you will have to perform sub-weapon seizes on enemies. By doing this you will take their weapon off of them, all different types of enemies hold different weapons & they will all need to be collected.

I have put this as a later step here because the chances are you will gain almost all of them when you are attempting to ‘S’ rank missions & questions.

In total there are 91 weapons to be collected, please see ‘The Weapons of Hecatoncheir’ trophy in the guide for more information. There are also two helpful links there which show what weapons can be collected, who they can be collected from & where that enemy can be found in the game. The ‘Dark’ enemies can only be found when replaying missions.

Step 4 – Reinforce All Sub Weapons

This is more than likely the last/one of the last trophies you will get in the game. You will first need to collect all sub weapons in the game (see step 3 above), before you can upgrade them all.

I recommend you upgrade your weapons as you go through the story and replaying missions. This will just make killing enemies easier & will make your weapons more powerful. It will also decrease the time needed to grind this step out at the end.

In order to upgrade your weapons you need to collect gifts. These gifts are obtained from killing enemies normally & by doing sub-weapon seizes on them. The rarer gifts can normally only be gotten from sub-weapon seizes, there are also other gifts obtained from ‘dark enemies’ and these enemies are only found when replaying a mission/quest.

For more information on gifts & where they can be found simply see the ‘Surpass Hephaestus’ trophy in the guide below. It also contains 3 links, one for finding the weapons, one for enemy locations & one which lists the gifts & which enemies they are obtained from.

Step 5 – Clear Up

This step is simply for collecting any remaining trophies you may need. They will most likely be related to the combat side of things because you may not have been concentrating on getting them done earlier on in the game.

Just look in your list for the trophies you need & search the guide below, everything you need should be in there.

Chapter 1: Clear “On The Home Front”.

This is story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=bbjk]

In this chapter there are about 5 quests to be completed. The last quest will bring you to meet Hades. Simply defeat the enemies after the meet & continue into the last section. Defeat the skeleton enemies, the bird like enemies & the snake like enemy that comes out of the ground to end the battle and this chapter.

Chapter 2: Clear “Departures”.

This is story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=92f7]

In this chapter you need to keep going back and forth between characters to accept their quests. Most of the quests are challenges and you will need to beat that character or other characters in their chosen quest. Simply finish each quest by doing your tasks or killing more enemies than the other person. The last person you speak to will be Draco, he will tell you that they are leaving, accept the quest for the final part of the chapter. One you are outside you need to successfully beat the town’s people by performing sub weapon seizes on them. Defeat about 6 people to finish this section and chapter 2.

Chapter 3: “Clear Calibos!”.

This is story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=b0b0]

Once more you will need to traverse between the 3 main characters, Ozal, Kucuk & Draco. One you have completed all of their individual quests you will get sent out by Draco looking for some ancient stone pillars. Go back through the map following the pillars as you find them, when you reach the last one a cut-scene will play that shows you Calibos.

The next part is a boss fight. You need to get about a quarter of Calibos’s life down, just use normal attacks as well as your special attacks. When he moves far away he will leap at you from a distance so be wary of this and try to dodge a lot. If you get hit a couple of times then you will lose a lot of life. Also remember that you have a healing core ability. If your life goes down then use this to get it back up. When you have his life down enough a cut-scene will play & you will earn this trophy.

Chapter 4: Clear “Into The Fire”.

This is story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=al0c]

This chapter takes place in the Djinn desert, you will encounter a lot of Satyros enemies here and is possibly one of the more frustrating parts of the game so far.

Accept any character quests available to you and complete them as necessary. The next part is very important:

You will eventually get to a part in the story where you have the chance to take 1 quest from 2 available. One requires you to stay back and defend the camp whilst the other requires you to go directly into the Satyros’ base and kill their leader. You want to go on the quest to kill the Satyros leader in order to have the chance of obtaining a few trophies, this quest is called ‘Infiltration’. You don’t have to choose this path because it will be available after you complete the game but it’s just easier to get it out of the way now.

Following the above route should allow you to get a lot more sub weapons and will allow you to get the trophy ‘Sharp Shooter’.

The end of the mission requires you to fight 2 worm bosses. The first you encounter is easily defeated just by running around it and attacking it with your sword. The second is massive, when it rears backward this means it will slam down to where you are stood. Just move sideways and roll to avoid being hit. The best way to defeat this boss is to stand near is mouth and use the dual wield sword attack, then like the other enemies use a sup weapon seize to finish it off.

NOTE: The Cyclops in this mission & the two worm bosses give you a chance of obtaining the ‘Three In The Black’ trophy. I recommend you try it with the worm bosses, the reason being that the circles move towards each other very slowly which gives you a better chance of pressing the button at the right time.

Chapter 5: Clear “Face Your Destiny”.

This is story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=pzql]

This chapter is based around 3 main quests, there is one quest for each of the witches. Pemphredo, Deino & Enyo will all give you a quest that is based on killing a monster. You need to complete these quests in order to show that you have what it takes to kill the Kraken.

Complete each of the quests in any order you wish.

Chapter 6: Clear “ Scales”.

This is story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=jz91]

This chapter is very short & only contains about 3 quests. You will be on a boat crossing the river towards the underworld. The last quest actually requires you to kill a see monster, follow some tips below for some help:

TIPS FOR THE SEA MONSTER:

This can be very frustrating if you don’t know how to kill this boss. As it swims around the boat it will fire some soul-like fireballs at you, you need to roll around & dodge these attacks, do this 3 times in total. After the third time the sea monster will rise up out of the water and the camera angle will change, once again you will need to dodge 3 waves of the fireballs.

AVOID GETTING HIT!! That is the key, if you get hit then the monster will go back into the sea and the process will start again. If you avoid getting hit however, you will get a free shot at a weak point on the monster. There are actually 4 weak points and they are shining yellow, you need to equip your bow and take some shots at them. Rinse and repeat the whole process until the sea monsters life gets near to the end.

There are two more sections to complete after that, these aren’t nearly as hard and they only require you to constantly hit the monster as it rises out of the sea & as it coils around you. Finish this boss to finish the chapter and earn the trophy.

Chapter 7: Clear “The Gate Opens”.

This is story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=0m3v]

For this chapter there are 4 quests to be completed, each quests ends in a boss battle. The first 3 battles are for keys, each boss holds a key that you will need. The fourth will only be unlocked after you have all 3 keys, this fourth battle is the ‘skeleton king’. See below for the order I done the quests and for some useful tips.

Quest 1 – The Evil Lizard:

At the start of this quest you will be in a small cave. Progress through this cave either taking care of any enemies or ignoring them, the choice is yours. Make your way to the cave tunnel at the end to enter a new section.

This new section is where the boss battle will begin. The lizard is quite big but he is not hard at all. If you like you can do your normal sword attacks as usual, if you want to do a lot more damage then I suggest using the flame core. Avoid the Lizard when it charges and when it releases poisonous gas. Get his life all the way down to end the battle and earn your first key.

Quest 2 – The Watchdog:

This section is very easy. You will start off in a massive cave with a lot of scorpions to kill. Once you have taken care of these 2 dogs will jump down into the cave, once again they are not hard to kill and spamming your sword attacks should be sufficient.

Once the dogs are killed the last section will begin. The watchdog will now come down into the fight. This is just a bigger version of the two dogs you have just killed. I recommend using your dual sword attacks as well as the flame core ability for maximum damage. Complete this battle to earn your second key.

Quest 3 – The Giant:

The giant is actually a big Cyclops. This is not a hard fight but the only place where you can damage this Cyclops is in its big purple eye. There are two easy ways to attack this eye to get its life down.

The first is to just run up to the Cyclops, jump up in the air so your are at the level of the eye & spam your attack button. When doing this you can also start on the floor and use the dual sword attack which will lift you into the air anyway. The second method is to use a bow & arrow. So equip a bow and take aim, then just keep firing every arrow you can get your hands on.

If you run out of soul to use your special abilities just kill the worm enemies for more. Defeat the Cyclops to earn your final key and move on to the last quest.

NOTE: You can get the trophy ‘Sharp Shooter’ in this fight. Please see that trophy description below for more information.

Quest 4 – Skeleton King:

You need to defeat the Skeleton King in order to continue through the big gates and into Medusa’s lair. This boss is pretty much vulnerable to every attack you can muster up. So use your sword attacks and any special abilities that you can. Also because this is a skeleton you have more chance of dealing damage by breaking its bones. Therefore I recommend you should concentrate on its arms, if you do this then its arms will break which means it will lose some of its most dangerous attacks.

NOTE: This is where you will get the chance to achieve the ‘Aesthetic Destruction’ trophy. Please see that description below for a lot more information. Don’t worry if you missed it, you can replay this chapter after you have completed the game.

Chapter 8: Clear “A Human’s Strength”.

This is story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=uip2]

This chapter gives you one main goal and it is the one that has been building up for a while. This chapter sees you battle Medusa, you need to kill her and take her head in order for you to defeat the Kraken later on.

I have no real tips for you here except go to town on her. Use any weapon and abilities that suits you best, she is definitely the hardest boss in the game. Just avoid her when she uses her stone stare ability & when she blast lasers out of her eyes. Just complete all of the sub-weapon seizes when you have the opportunity to defeat her & end this chapter.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/16.jpg (H) (B)

Chapter 9: Clear “Disillusionment”.

This is story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=83j7]

This is a very short section of the game and you will embark upon this quest straight after you kill Medusa. You simply need to make your way out of Medusa’s Lair and back to the surface, but as you reach the surface you will bump into Calibos.

Now all you need to do is complete the following battle. This time around Calibos is very easy, all I used was normal sword attacks to finish him off. Just ignore the scorpions because they will hardly touch you, now get Calibos’ life down until you can perform a sub-weapon seize. Just initiate the seize and complete it successfully to beat Calibos and clear this chapter.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/16.jpg (H) (B)

Chapter 10: Clear “CLASH OF THE TITANS”.

This is story related and cannot be missed.

[spoiler=89tg]

This is the last chapter within the game. You start off in the castle area with a few quests to complete that are given to you by Ozal & Kucuk. Eventually you will get to the last quest in the game, this is another part you have been building up to & it is where you will fight the Kraken.

This boss is actually very easy. You simply need to keep moving whilst avoiding being hit. After about 5-10 minutes you will get a chance to do a sub-weapon seize, complete this part to damage the Kraken. Do this process one more time and complete one last sub-weapon seize to defeat the Kraken and end the game.

Bull’s-eye – Successfully perform a Perfect Sub Weapon Seize.

A sub weapon seize means to disarm an enemy of its weapon. Before you can perform a sub weapon seize you first need to get the enemies life down a certain amount. So keep using your sword and other abilities to attack the enemy, when you see it flash orange & the words ‘:l1: – sub weapon seize” come up on the screen you know it is time.

Walk up to the enemy and press :l1:, this will trigger an action type scene where you see Perseus about to attack the enemy. A screen with a purple circle will pop up along with an orange circle, this orange circle will move closer to the purple circle & you need to press one of the controller buttons just as they touch. If you get your timing right then you will hear a different sound to if you miss and Perseus will say something like ‘perfect’. Doing this one time counts as a perfect weapon seize and will earn you this trophy.

Normally the enemies will require you to get your timing right twice, other enemies will require more, but remember you only need to be perfect once. After you have disarmed the enemy the trophy will pop up.

NOTE: There are four buttons that work for the disarm, they are:

:triangle:

:circle:

:cross:

:square:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/21.jpg (B)

Hat Trick – Successfully perform Perfect Sub Weapon Seize three times on one enemy.

To perform a perfect sub weapon seize just see the Bull’s-eye’ trophy description above.

So for this trophy instead of performing one perfect sub weapon seize you need to perform 3. This can be a little tricky because you need to time your button presses 3 times in a row.

There are only a few enemies that allow you to do 3 weapon seizes on them, the first I encountered were in chapter 2. Right at the beginning of the chapter you will face some stone soldiers along with stone statues, these statues are the ones you are aiming for. Do not fear if you don’t do it correctly, you can reload your save which brings you right back to the start of the fight. Alternatively just carry on through the story because there are other enemies & bosses this can be done on.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/23.jpg (B)

Soul Slaughter – Defeat 100 enemies with Soul Seize.

A soul seize means to steal some of the enemies’ soul and collect it for yourself. You can then use this soul to perform special weapon attacks, protect yourself by using other weapons or by using objects to heal yourself.

To perform a soul seize you need to aim at an enemy by pressing :l2:, then when you are close enough press :r1:. There are two ways that a soul seize can work, they are:

1) When The Enemy Is Still Near Full Health – If the enemy still has a lot of health left then the soul seize will not work to its full potential. You can still press :r1: and steal some soul but you won’t get much and the enemy also has a chance of blocking the attack.

2) When The Enemy Has Low Health – If the enemy has low health then the soul seize is almost guaranteed to work every time. A way to now if the enemy has low health is to aim at it by pressing :r2:, if the enemy is a darkish blue then it’s not quite there. If the enemy shines a bright blue however then the soul seize will kill the enemy which will get you a lot of soul.

This will work on pretty much every enemy. The small frogs you encounter near to the beginning of the game are incredibly easy to do this on.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/31.jpg (B)

Adamantine Axe – Defeat 5 enemies at once with one Axe attack.

For this attack to work you need to make sure you are attacking weak enemies, preferably some skeleton enemies. You need to equip an axe and use its main attack, an axe that is upgraded fully is much more powerful. Also some axes main attack can be charged, so when you are surrounded by enemies charge up your attack by holding :circle:. When the enemies are close enough release :circle:, the attack should be powerful enough to kill 5 in one go.

The ‘Looming Skeletons’ challenge quest is a very good place to try for this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/32.jpg (B)

Attack Ballista – Defeat 10 opponents in quick succession with one Bow attack.

This can be tough if you don’t know what bow to use or what quest to try for the trophy. The only bow that has the capability of killing 10 plus enemies at anyone time is the ‘Bow Of Eros’. You need to upgrade this bow as much as it can go before it is ready. Once done equip this bow and charge up its attack, the attack will fire lots of arrows into the air at once, the arrows will rain down into a specific spot which will kill the enemies below. Therefore you need to get a group of 10 enemies huddled into a small group, a challenge quest I recommend for this is the ‘Looming Skeletons’ trophy.

To find out where to get this bow read ‘The Weapons of Hecatoncheir’ trophy below.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/33.jpg (B)

Wrath of the Anemoi – Defeat 10 enemies at once with one Wing attack.

A wing attack can be performed once you have obtained a ‘Feather’ weapon, I first collected one of these in the chapter 2 quest ‘Guiding Light’.

There are not many places where 10 or more enemies are together at the same time, luckily the chapter 3 challenge quest ‘Miasmic Swamp’ has a lot of the frog enemies. These enemies are very easily defeated which is good for the wing attack because it isn’t that powerful.

Simply run around this swamp area until the maximum number of enemies spawn, then just wait somewhere and let them hop towards you as they gather into a big group. Next all you need to do is equip the wing attack and press circle to use it, try pressing circle not too close to the enemy. This is because the attack brings you forward a little bit first, when you get to close you will get hit and this will interrupt the attack. If you do not defeat 10 straight away then don’t worry, you have a time limit of 2 minutes 30 seconds & the enemies will constantly respawn.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/24.jpg (B)

The Pyre – Use a 'Flame Core' attack to defeat each type of undead monster, except undead bosses.

For this trophy there are four flame core abilities, but I don’t know if all four work. Your best bet is to just use the one that is actually called ‘Flame Core’, see ‘The Weapons of Hecatoncheir’ trophy below for the location of this weapon.

So all you need to do now is equip the weapon and press :circle: to use it on each undead enemy. For the locations of the enemies needed please use the list below, thanks to K1llerMonkey from xbox360achievements.org for this list.

Fallen - Found in Mount of Idols Challenge go left and enter that section to find it.

Fallen Warrior – In the same Area as a Fallen enemy.

Bones - Found in the Mount of Idols Challenge. Go Right from where you start and you will see it at the Y Section.

Bone Soldier - Found in the Mount of Idols Challenge. Go right and when you get to the Y section take a left, jump on the rocks and climb the wall then go back down jump back over the rocks and they will spawn.

Bone Warrior - From Bone Solider, jump up the rocks Climb the wall and he spawns here.

Skeleton Soldier - From where you get Bone Warrior. Carry on Climbing up to the next section where you will find this guy.

Skeleton Warrior - Found in Streets of Argos Second area in the Street like part.

Skeleton Mauler – In the same area as the Skeleton Warrior.

Skeleton Archer – In the same place as the Skeleton Warrior and Mauler.

Bone Archer - Found in the Streets of Argos. He is right at the very end section of the place in the outside part of the town.

Bone Mauler - Found in the same area as the Bone Archer.

Death Soldier - Found in the Argos Castle Area . When you start in here go though the hall way into the open throne room (I think it is) then you get to the steps on the outside, here you will find him.

Death Mauler - Same place as the Death Soldier.

Death Warrior - After the Death soldier and Mauler you can carry on through into the very next area, here you will find this enemy.

Death Archer – In the same area as the Death Warrior.

Dark Archer - This guy is in the same area as the Death Warrior. What you need to do is keep going in and out of the area till he spawns. But make sure you run to the outside part of the town otherwise you will have to keep killing the mobs in the other section to be able to get back in. So once your in the outside part go in and out over and over until he finally pops up.

Dark Soldier - Found in Medusa's Temple. When you spawn in this area head down into the big round room, in here take the door to the left, you will enter a room with a totem in the middle. From here take the rock formation door (the left one) and follow this section all the way down. The next room you go into will be with a water feature in the middle. This is the room that the Dark Soldier will spawn. You may have to go in and out of this room until he spawns.

Lost Spirit – This can be found in 2 areas, the Underworld and Miasmic swamp. For the underworld he’s right next to the 1st climb up part. For the Miasmic Swamp location follow the Dark Spirit description below.

Dark Spirit - This guy is found in the Miasmic Swamp. To get to this guy from where you start first go across the bridge, drop off to the left & go into the next section. Once in the next section stick to the left side and go down that path, go down there until you get to the jumping part.

Once there go left on the jumping bit & climb up the rocks, he should spawn up there. He is a rare enemy so just keep jumping up and down from where they spawn until he finally shows up.

Soul Eater – This can be found in two places, the Miasmic Swamp and the Underworld. For the swamp follow the Dark Spirit description, for the Underworld follow the Dark soul description below.

Dark Soul - Found in the Underworld. For this enemy you need to go through the Underworld until you get to the bit where you go up some stairs, standing at the bottom of the stairs you will see him behind you. He is hard to spot, so if your at the stairs looking to your left then you will see several rocks that you can climb a little into the distance.

He will spawn right up there and once again he is rare so he won’t always be there. The easiest way to get him to spawn is to go to the stairs and run up & down and check in the distance each time you get down to see if he’s there.

Sightless - Found in Norn Mountain. From where you enter travel the first section & go into the next. You'll end up coming into a T-Junction, carry on straight & travel into the next bit. Here you will be at a cross type junction, take a right and follow this road until you get to a dead, this enemy will spawn here. Once again if he isn’t there then just go back and fourth between the two sections until he spawns.

Living dead - Found in the Underworld just before the first wall climb.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/39.jpg (B)

The Body Of A God – Use the 'Spirit of Argos' to take down 5 enemies at once.

Once you have obtained the ‘Spirit of Argos’ weapon you need to equip it and kill 5 enemies at once. The weapon isn’t too powerful so you need to find enemies with a low amount of health, alternatively you can try to get some enemies life down first before you use it. You may also want to upgrade it as much as you can before attempting to get this trophy.

I recommend the first method & the easiest place to do this on is in the ‘Miasmic Swamp’ challenge quest.

For the location of this weapon see ‘The Weapons of Hecatoncheir’ trophy below.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/40.jpg (B)

Aesthetic Destruction – Using the Battle Song on Perseus, destroy part of the 'Skeleton King'.

To use the Battle Song you first need to have the harp that uses this ability, the harp I used was the ‘Piscium’, see ‘The Weapons of Hecatoncheir’ trophy below for its location.

Now it’s pretty simple. All you need to do is equip the harp and use its special ability, Perseus will shine yellow so you know when you have used it, to be honest I don’t actually know what this weapon does. Anyway after you use it you need to attack the Skeleton King and break something from its body, just do this by attacking either its arms or legs, you can use your normal sword attacks or equip another weapon and attack with that. It may take a few tries before it works, so if you need some more soul then just get some from the skeletons that will be attacking you.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/43.jpg (B)

Draw Out The Ichor – Destroy the heads of 20 giant animated statues.

The giant statues are first encountered right at the beginning of chapter 2, they will also be encountered later on in the game and through other challenge quests. You need to attack them in a specific way to knock their heads off. DOING A SUB-WEAPON SEIZE DOES NOT COUNT!

You need to attack them with a hammer. If you hit them a few times then their head should break off, quite simple. The hammer I used was the ‘Capricorn’ or the ‘Cyclopean Maul’, see ‘The Weapons of Hecatoncheir’ trophy below for more information on the weapons location.

Only the women statues work for this, the men statues are too strong and they will just die if you hit them too many times.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/46.jpg (B)

Beaten to the Punch! - Defeat 20 skeletons who are preparing to throw skulls.

This is quite hard to explain but it is a very easy trophy to get. A skeleton that throws a skull is actually throwing his own head, there is a certain method to make sure that the skeleton does this.

What you need to do is put that skeleton into sub-weapon seize a few times. So just constantly hit it with your sword until it starts flashing orange. Then just wait until it is back to normal and then repeat. After about the third sub-weapon seize the skeleton may now throw his head.

What you need to do is watch the skeleton closely as it comes out of sub-weapon seize mode (stops flashing orange). If the skeleton starts flashing orange straight away of its own accord then this means it will now throw its head at you.

You need to be quick on that part. Either attack the skeleton really quickly with your sword or use a powerful weapon on it like a hammer or a bow. Just do this 20 times and the trophy is yours.

NOTE: Skeletons without armour or clothing do not work for this trophy. The skeleton normally needs to have some armour like a helmet & shield.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/47.jpg (B)

Vanished Threat - Destroy all parts of the Scorpioch.

The Scorpioch is a boss battle that you will encounter a short way into chapter 4. You will definitely recognise this boss because it is essentially a massive scorpion. Destroying all parts of the Scorpioch doesn’t mean killing him and completing the fight, there are 3 other parts of it that you need to attack and destroy.

1) Its Left Claw – Simply keep hitting at its claw with your sword. You can use other abilities do deal more damage is necessary. When it breaks it is destroyed.

2) Its Right Claw – Follow the exact same instructions above.

3) Its Tail – This is a little bit more tricky. To attack its tail you need to get right in front of the Scorpioch and jump into the air. Whilst in the air you need to button press your attacking buttons as much as you can before you land. Eventually the tail will break meaning all 3 parts should be destroyed. If you are having trouble breaking the tail then follow the tip below.

TIP: When the Scorpioch falls to the floor & starts flashing orange it means it is ready for a sub weapon seize, DON’T INITIATE THE SEIZE. Now is the perfect time for you to attack its tail. Simply walk up to the tail end and attack it, keeping doing this method and it will break soon enough.

This can also be gotten in a challenge quest after you have finished the game, so don’t worry if you miss it in this chapter.

Bound Souls - Defeat 10 enemies at once with Chain Seize.

You cannot do a chain seize until a little bit into the game, so forget about this trophy until then.

To perform a chain seize you need to constantly hit & defeat enemies. As your hits connect you will basically be charging up your sword, when it starts to flame and you see the words ‘:r1: - chain seize’ come up on the screen you will know that it is time.

This is performed just like a soul seize attack. Simply walk up to an enemy and press and hold :r1:. The attack will begin to charge and link any enemies nearby, you will then steal all of their souls in one go. This is very effective when dealing with a large amount of enemies.

There are 2 good places to attempt this trophy. One is in the chapter 2 challenge quest ‘Rivalry 3’, the other is in the chapter 3 challenge quest ‘Miasmic Swamp’.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/26.jpg (S)

Smash Hit - Destroy enemy parts or protective gear 300 times.

As you go through the game you will encounter enemies with destructible parts (body parts) or protective clothing such as armour or shields, you simply need to destroy 300 parts or gear as a whole. So you could destroy 150 of each if you wish or 300 of one and 0 of the other. The easiest way to smash parts or gear is to use a hammer, I recommend the Cyclopean Maul (see 'The Weapons of Hecatoncheir' trophy below for the weapons location.).

Just A Few Enemies I Encountered With Destructible Parts:

– Scorpioch Boss

– Skeleton King Boss

– Stone Statues

Just A Few Enemies I Encountered With Protective Gear:

– Centaurs With Silver Armour

– Satyros Enemies With Shields

– Satyros Enemies With Gold Armour

– Skeleton With A Shield

– Skeleton With Armour

The Weapons of Hecatoncheir – Collect all Sub Weapons.

This is not a very hard trophy but it may take some time. Almost every enemy in the game will drop a weapon when killed, but the only way to get this weapon is if you kill by performing a sub-weapon seize on that enemy. They DON’T have to be perfect sub-weapon seizes.

There are 91 weapons available in the game. To see each weapon needed, the enemies they can be gotten off & where those enemies can be found, just follow the two following links:

The Hunter's Title – Collect all Gifts.

The gifts throughout the game are dropped by all enemies, some will only dropped certain gifts & some are rarer than others. You need to perform a sub-weapon seize on an enemy to get the gifts from it. In order to make sure you get the rarer items or more gifts each time then you will need to perform a perfect sub-weapon seize, see the ‘Bull’s-eye’ trophy above for more information.

You will need to replay missions and challenge quests in order to find the enemies you may be missing. The darker enemies are much rarer, you may need to go in and out of a particular section until a dark enemy spawns.

To see your gifts simply press :start: and go across to ‘Gifts’. To see what gifts you are missing simply compare your list to my list in the following thread:

Gifts http://www.ps3trophies.org/forum/clash-titans/58874-all-gift-items.html#post912368

Surpass Hephaestus – Completely reinforce all Sub Weapons.

This may be your last trophy gotten from this game. To reinforce a sub weapon you simply need to collect the gifts necessary in order to level it up. Go down in the weapons power list and another list will show on the right hand side of the screen. In this box it will note what gift items & how many of those items are needed to level up that weapon. Just reinforce everything that you can see, a weapon that is reinforced fully can be seen in the weapons list with a golden crown next to it.

Just do this for all of the weapons in the game and you will get the trophy. For the weapon locations, enemy locations & gift item locations just click on the following links:

Miscellaneous/Other

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/25.jpg (S)

Complete Conquest - Complete all quests.

There are actually two types of quests that need to be completed for this trophy, there are the main story quests & then the challenge quests. The challenge quests will unlock as you go through the game, there are also extra challenge quests that will unlock after you complete the main game.

NOTE: During one mission in the story there was a part where you had to choose what path to take, in here I told you to take the ‘Infiltration’ quest path. In order to get this trophy you will need to go to this certain chapter and choose the opposite quest, this can be found by going to the correct statue & seeing a quest that hasn’t been played yet. Just play that quest & you will get the trophy.

This can only be done once you have completed the game and have the option to replay the quests.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/29.jpg (B)

Sword Dance - Perform 30 hits in 7 seconds using a dual-wield attack.

Because the description says ‘dual-wield attack’ it means you have to use the dual swords. You will get the dual swords early on in the game so wait until you get these before going for this trophy.

I recommend you find a group of about 5 enemies before attempting this. You need to equip your dual swords and press :circle: to use them. This attack normally deals about 7 hits, so do this attack 5 times and that should equal 32 hits which will get you the trophy. Remember you will need some soul to attempt this, I recommend a full bar just in case.

A great place to try for this trophy is in a challenge quest which is unlocked in chapter 3. The challenge quest is call ‘Miasmic Swamp’.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/30.jpg (B)

Battering Ram - Send 5 enemies flying with one Hammer attack.

For this you need to make sure that the enemy won’t die first time if they get hit. By this I mean don’t try it on the skeletons who have no armour whatsoever, skeletons with armour and shields are your best bet.

So simply find a hammer that is strong enough to knock a group of enemies down I personally used the ‘Capricorn’. Then just equip the weapon, wait for the enemies to come close to you & then attack. The enemies have to be flat on their backs for the trophy to count.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/24.jpg (B)

Deadly Poison - Stun 3 enemies at the same time using the Tail attack.

A Tail weapon is first obtained from the scorpions in chapter 4, but if you would like a more powerful tail then I would wait until you beat:

[spoiler=iif3] Medusa

So when you have the tail all you need to do is use it. So as usual equip the tail from the weapon menu. If you upgrade this tail all of the way then it can easily stun 3 enemies at once. I recommend you try using it on the satyros enemies, this is because they are much stronger than other enemies and won’t die as quickly. Try charging the attack for more of a chance to stun the enemies.

A stun counts when the enemy is on the floor with a green goo/flash on its body.

This is easy to get in the challenge quest ‘Desert Of The Djinn’.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/36.jpg (B)

The Grace Of Erebus - Activate a 'Dark Blade' Underworld Core attack and successfully connect 50 times consecutively.

The weapon you need to use for this trophy is the 'Essence Of Hatred' underworld core. Now equip the weapon and make sure you have a full soul bar.

All you need to do now is just keep hold of aim (:l2:)and tap circle rapidly to use the attack on the enemies. Keeping hold of aim will allow you to automatically find a nearby enemy and attack that enemy straight away.

If you miss an attack on an enemy then don't worry just continue to hit :circle:.

The best enemies to do this attack on is the 'watcher' eyes or just plain old skeletons (without armour). These two die very easily which is the key to this attack & keeping the chain going.

Once you hit your first enemy you have started the chain but that first kill doesn't count, only the rest will. You need to constantly hit :circle: again and again killing any enemies you can to build up a big chain of kills.

It may be glitched, all I know is that it seems to take forever for the trophy to pop.

(The purple bit you see when you attack an enemy is just that enemy dying, so you basically want to see purple bits until you stop your chain).

The best challenge quest to do this on is 'Looming Skeletons'. Just use soul seize on the skeletons can be used to replenish your soul bar. EVEN THOUGH THE CHAIN STOPS WHEN YOU USE SOUL SEIZE IT SHOULDN’T MATTER. I GO THE TROPHY USING MY METHOD.

This trophy may be glitched. So just keep doing this move until the trophy pops up.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/38.jpg (B)

Impenetrable Defense - Defend 100 enemy attacks using a Barrier.

For this you simply need to use a weapon where its primary use is to be a barrier. So when enemies attack you they will simply hit the barrier, if one enemy hits the barrier it will count as one enemy attack defended. Just do this until you get hit 100 times.

The Barrier Core weapon I used was simply called the ‘Barrier Core’. When you activate it a small shield will shine in front of you. Just find a nice corner and stand still, then wait for the enemies to come & hit you.

This is easy to get in the challenge quest ‘Miasmic Swamp’.

NOTE: Everytime an enemy hits you, you will lose a bit of your soul bar. So it is important that you keep stealing souls so you can constantly use this weapon until you get the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/41.jpg (B)

Partner - Play 2P Mode for the first time.

NOTE: ‘2P’ stands for ‘2 Player’, so you will need a second controller I order to get this trophy.

The first time you get the chance to do 2 player mode is at the end of chapter 2. You will enter the streets with Draco, he will be the 2nd player who you will be allowed to control. Read the on-screen instructions because it will explain to you about 2 player mode.

To get this trophy all you need to do is press :start: on the second controller.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/42.jpg (B)

Trusting Heart - In 2P Mode, have a support character perform a Sub Weapon Seize.

See the ‘Bull’s-eye’ trophy above for more information on sub weapon seizes. Please note that this doesn’t have to be perfect though. This trophy can be gotten at the same time as the ‘Partner’ trophy above.

Simply enter 2 player mode by pressing :start: on the second controller. Now with this second controller you need to go up to one of the town’s people and start the sub weapon seize. Simply complete the action sequence to successfully disarm the person & get the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/45.jpg (B)

Sharp Shooter - Pierce a cyclops' weak point with a Bow.

There are two different cyclops type enemies that can be found in the game. Both have the eye as a weak point so most times as you attack it you can deal a tiny bit more damage.

So to get this trophy you need to equip any type of bow you want. Now just aim at the cyclops and fire away. Sometimes you won’t aim at the eye so this may take a few goes to get. Alternatively when you are using the bow you will do a manual aim, I’m not sure how to get the manual aim up on purpose. Anyway, there will be a red dot in the middle of your screen, just move this dot to the cyclops’ eye and fire. You only need to hit the eye once for this trophy to pop up.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/35.jpg (B)

Won't Let You Die - Use a 'Healing Core' 5 times to recover the health of a dying support character.

Certain missions require you (or give you an option) of taking a support character with you to help you out. Chapter 3 is a good place for obtaining this trophy because there are 3 separate characters that will give you quests (Ozal, Kucuk & Draco), all 3 of these can be support characters if you wish.

Please be aware that you will need a ‘Healing Core’ ability before you can get this trophy, see ‘The Weapons of Hecatoncheir’ trophy above for more information.

So when you are with a support character that characters health is located below yours, it is the green bar. This character needs to take damage on purpose before you can go for this trophy, so just let him attack an enemy on his own. Alternatively press :start: on a 2nd controller to control him yourself, you can then just let him stand there which will mean he will lose health a lot faster.

Now you need to equip your healing core ability, the first one I came across was the ‘Caducesian Core’. Press :cross: to have the option of equipping it & put it into one of the four slots available. To use it simply select the slot you put it in by pressing that direction on the d-pad (, :right:,, :left:)) & press circle. Remember that you need to have some soul before you can use the item.

You want to use this when the support characters health starts to flash red. You need to heal him enough so it stops flashing. Do this 5 times and the trophy is yours.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/48.jpg (B)

Curse of the Gods - Clear 'Mating Season' with the ability 'Erosion of the Abyss' set.

‘Mating Season’ is a challenge quest that gets unlocked early on in the game. However, you will only be able to play it on the certain chapter it gets unlocked in, or until you beat the game where all quests are available to you.

You need to equip a weapon with the negative effect ‘Erosion Of The Abyss’. This simply makes you lose a little health every few seconds non-stop. The weapon I used was the ‘Savage Blade’.

Make sure you have the weapon equipped before you start the quest & make sure you DON’T CHANGE YOUR WEAPON DURING THE QUEST.

All you need to do now is kill 100 enemies within 2 minutes 30 seconds. If you managed to do this then you will get the trophy.

NOTE: A bit obvious but try not to get hit at all. Because remember you can’t change to a healing core to get some health back.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/22.jpg (S)

Three in the Black - Successfully perform a Perfect Sub Weapon Seize three times on one boss.

This can be obtained at the same time as the ‘Vanished Threat’ trophy above, during the Scorpioch battle. Just proceed through the fight as normal attacking the Scorpioch until you gets its life down to about a quarter left, the Scorpioch should fall to the floor giving you the chance to start the sub weapon seize.

Walk up to the Scorpioch and press to begin. As explained in the ‘Bulls-eye’ trophy above you will need to time your button pressing when the purple circle connects with the yellow circle. Do this 3 times and the trophy is yours.

NOTE: This isn’t the only time you get to go for this trophy. There are plenty more bosses throughout the game. There are also challenge quests unlocked after the game that contain each boss, so if you still need the trophy then just play one of these. I specifically recommend the Worm boss, the Soul Serpent boss & the Skeleton King boss for this trophy.

IMPORTANT TIP: A boss can only be defeated by doing a sub weapon seize on it. If you fail whilst performing a sub-weapon seize on a boss then that boss will regain some of its health. Therefore you can always have the opportunity to perform a sub-weapon seize if you fail on purpose. I also found out that it doesn’t have to be 3 perfects in a row which is why this method works, you can get one perfect & fail, one perfect & fail, a final perfect and get this trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/24.jpg (S)

First-Class Warrior - Perform an attack with each of the main weapon skills.

This simply means to perform each attack that you can make with your sword. To find the list of available attacks just press :start: and go across to ‘help’, from there go to ‘main weapon skills’.

I will also list all of the attacks you need to perform. This is because they are not always visible from the start of the game:

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/402/44.jpg (S)

Aerial Dance - Hit an enemy 20 times while it is in the air.

To obtain this trophy an enemy needs to be in the air when you are hitting it, there are a few ways to obtain this trophy. The first is to find a enemy that is flying, such as a harpy, the second way is to hit an enemy into the air and then keep on attacking that enemy until the trophy pops up.

I recommend the second method. There are a few ways to get the enemy into the air, one is to use your normal and hits. The second is to use a dual sword attack which usually means you hit an enemy into the air and fly up with it. From then on you can keep spamming to build up as much hits as you can.

Experiment with different swords in a dual sword attack because they do different attacks. Some will hit the enemy more than others and therefore give you a better chance at getting this trophy.

Height of Olympus - Obtain S Rank in all Main Quest and Challenge Quests.

The mother of all trophies, this is very tough and will definitely challenge you. You can go for these first time through as you play the story mode or go for them after the story. This is because you can replay every mission any amount of times as you wish. As well as story missions that need ‘S’ ranking there will also be challenge quests unlocked.

To get an ‘S’ rank in a mission depends on 3 factors:

– The Time You Finish The Quest In (Less Is Better).

– How Much Damage You Take (Less Is Better).

– How Many Enemies You Kill Or Defeat (More Is Better).

There are two weapons that are extremely helpful for completing the harder quests/challenge quests. The two weapons are ‘Axe Of Themis’ & ‘Piscium’, if you combine these two weapons together then you have a very powerful weapon overall.

TIP: There are also two moves you can do which will help you kill enemies a lot quicker. Firstly you will need to perform the ‘Storm Blade’ attack see the ‘First-Class Warrior’ trophy above for information on that move. Doing this on an enemy should allow you to charge up your sword so you can then perform the ‘Chain Seize’ move, see the ‘Bound Souls’ trophy above for more information on chain seizes. If you do these quickly then you will take out huge groups of enemies in just a few seconds, this will also net you a lot of soul points for your soul bar & will therefore let you use your weapons special attacks more often.

For a rough guide on times/kills/damage on the quests simply click on the link below:

Thanks Yoshi :) I have been slacking off of this guide due to the world cup being on :o But now my team is out I can spend the next few days finalising the guide.

I only have to write info for about 5-10 more trophies & then I can finish posting it.

Oh, take your time Rockets. I just thought I'd lend a hand with the images to make things easier for you. ;)

  • 2 weeks later...
how do u get the eye of the stygian witches?

http://card.mmos.com/psn/profile/ne/m/nemec8/card.png

Just as the eye is about to be caught by one of the witches, that witch will flash orange. That means you need to perform a sub-weapon seize.

Just try to anticipate where the eye is about to go & try to get a head start by running in that direction.

Damn, caught me off guard. I'll have to load the game up, find the right weapon I used & then write it down. It is one of the last ones I need to write for the guide to be complete.

I am also stuck on the Erebus trophy :( so any help would be great. Also do you know where to find the essence of vitality healing core. Its the last sub-weapon i need!!

The Essence Of vitality is dropped by the flying enemies. So a spirit, dark spirit etc etc. Check the enemy records in-game to see what ones of those you are missing & then I can work it out for you.
