Introduction:

Welcome to The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, which is actually three games in one. You get the remade Escape from Butcher Bay campaign (originally released on Windows/Xbox), along with the new Assault on Dark Athena campaign and online multiplayer. The gameplay is your basic stealth/shooter.

We recommend playing Escape from Butcher Bay first since it takes place before Assault on Dark Athena story-wise, but you can play the campaigns in the opposite order if you really want to.

If you're halfway decent at shooters, hard difficulty is not that difficult. It's highly recommended you play it on hard the first time for both games.

Step 1: Escape from Butcher Bay

Play through the Escape from Butcher Bay campaign on hard difficulty. The majority of the trophies are story-related.

Pay close attention to Ring Fight Champion and Bell Boy as they can be easily missed in your first playthrough. Bell Boy has the potential to be missed because the quests are strung out across a large portion of the game, so pay close attention to this one. You'd basically have to go back and restart from an earlier section if you messed up and missed a quest. Which would essentially equal 1.5 playthroughs.

For Chain Smoker you can reload checkpoints to retrieve missing cigarette packs if necessary; you do not need to get them all in one playthrough. However, you should try to do it in one playthrough because many packs you have to buy from prisoners or get as a reward, and it's easier to do that during your playthrough. Just remember that as soon as you get a cigarette pack, it is permanently saved; you do not have to get it again if you die.

After you complete hard and finish the credits, replay the last checkpoint on normal to get the normal difficulty trophy. If you dont feel like watching the credits then simply press start and and click on "Exit to menu" Huge thanks to "Etopiax" for discovering this!

Step 2: Assault on Dark Athena

Play through the Assault on Dark Athena campaign on hard difficulty. It should take about 10-15 hours. About half of the trophies are story-related.

If you are having trouble with any non-story trophies (i.e. Master of Drones or Honest Fighting on Hard difficulty), make a note of the checkpoint where they occur and skip them for now. Gabril and Sniper Rifle have the potential to be missed because you have to backtrack quite a ways and the first one needs to be completed before the second can be obtained.

For Bounty Hunter, you can reload checkpoints to retrieve missing cards if necessary; you do not need to get them all in one playthrough. As soon as you get a card, it is permanently saved so you do not have to get it again if you die.

After you complete hard and finish the credits, replay the last checkpoint on normal to get the normal difficulty trophy.

Step 3: Clean up the single player trophies

If you're missing any cigarette packs from Butcher Bay or any Bounty Hunter cards from Athena, then use the linked guides/walkthroughs, load up the appropriate checkpoints and retrieve the ones you are missing. Get any other trophies on easy if you struggled on hard.

Step 4: Online

The online portion is where you will spend over half of your Platinum time. Most of the trophies are easily doable with a single boosting partner but some require 3-4 players (Including yourself) and these are listed as such in the online section so you can easily tell how many players are required for each trophy! It's also worth mentioning that for the 3-4 player trophies, not all the requirements require 3-4 players and most can be done with 2 players. There are mostly just one or two requirements that you will need 3-4 players for and if it doesn't say 3-4 players are needed in the description, then it can be done with 2.

Winner Level 3 (win 1,000 matches) and Basic Weapon Handling Level 3 (kill 10,000 people) are very long grinds. Considering that the servers have very little activity currently, you will definitely need to grind them out with a reliable boosting partner. Expect to spend some 70-100 hours on the online trophies, and possibly longer if you have to use multiple partners or deal with quitters often. Also be sure to check the "Important!" part under online trophies here.

See the guide for details and strategies on all the online trophies. A number of them have multiple requirements and you can check what requirements you are missing from the "Trophies" options on the main menu. This method is a little slow though so it's probably a good idea to keep track of them on paper. These types of trophies should only take around 5-10 hours if you have reliable partners and strategies set up ahead of time. Your biggest and mind-numbing time sink will be for Winner Level 3 and Basic Weapon Handling Level 3.

For a boosting partner, check here: Boosting Thread.

Thanks to kakihara301 and JL85 for the additional info regarding the online trophies.

000.jpg  Platinum (P)

Get all Trophies.

Congratulations!

Escape from Butcher's Bay Trophies

001.jpg  Medium Security Jail Break (S)

Complete the Escape from Butcher Bay campaign on normal difficulty.

The difficulty trophies do not stack. See High Security Jail Break for more info.

002.jpg  High Security Jail Break (G)

Complete the Escape from Butcher Bay campaign on hard difficulty.

Hard difficulty is not that hard. Play the game on hard from the start. Once you finish the Escape from Butcher's Bay campaign, switch the difficulty to normal and replay the final chapter to unlock Medium Security Jail Break.

003.jpg  Chain Smoker (B)

Collect all cigarette packages.

There are 62 total cigarette packs. This does not have to be done all in one playthrough. Once you complete the Escape from Butcher's Bay campaign, you can reload any checkpoint and grab any cigarette packs you missed. As soon as you get a cigarette pack, it is permanently saved; you do not have to get it again if you die.

However, the best way to get these is to use a walkthrough that details where each pack is, doing it in conjunction with Bell Boy. This is because you can only get some packs if you do all optional objectives in the game. You have to buy packs from some of the prisoners or do missions for them to get other packs. Reloading to do that is not optimal but it can be done.

I would suggest using this walkthrough for the cigarette packs: LINK

004.jpg  Bell Boy (B)

Complete all side missions in Butcher Bay.

This is a somewhat complicated trophy that can be easily missed. It will span a few different checkpoints and requires you complete 6 different side missions for various prisoners in Tower 17. The best way to ensure you get this is to talk to everyone and follow up on any task they give you.

When you get to Checkpoint 16 (Recreational Area) you will start getting optional missions from the prisoners when you talk to them:

1. Jamal-Udeen (Section B) – Kill all the Blueskins

2. Cuellas (Feed Ward) – Find a snitch list

3. Wilkins (Section C) – Find out if Jagger Valance is alive

4. Gulag (Section C) – Find his red tube

5. The Nurse (Section C) – Poison Bink's food, collect his debt

6. Twotongue (Section C) – Kill Baasim, find his injector and a Moth

7. Shurik (Work Pass) – Find his glasses

If you want a checklist to make sure you're on track, here's an order in which you can do things in, once you get to the Tower 17 section. Note: Some parts can be done in a different order, this section of the game is somewhat "open world".

The absolute best way to do this is by following a 100% walkthrough, especially if you are going for all the Cigarette Packs (be aware that some steps related to the packs are omitted below): LINK

Collecting moths is something you should do regardless since you need them for packs and side quests.

  • Fight Harman (Blueskin #1) in the ring
  • Talk to Centurion for the next fight
  • Mission #1 Start: Talk to Jamal-Udeen in Section B when he's not praying
  • Collect Moths in the Recreational Area
  • Talk to Baasim, then Centurion to fight
  • Talk to Centurion for the next fight
  • Mission #2 Start: Go to the Feed Ward and talk to Cuellas
  • Go near the Dining Hall and kill Motor (Blueskin #2), then Asif, get all their stuff (including Poison)
  • Go to the second part of the Dining Hall where Monster is, open the loose panel to find the Red Tube and Injector
  • Go back to the first part of the Dining Hall and talk to Sawtooth to challenge him
  • Talk to Centurion to fight Sawtooth
  • Talk to Centurion for the next fight
  • Go to the Recreational Area, Section C, collect Moths again
  • Mission #3 Start - Talk to Wilkins
  • Mission #4 Start - Talk to Gulag
  • Mission #4 End - Talk to Gulag again since you already have the Red Tube
  • Mission #5 Start - Talk to The Nurse
  • Don't forget to collect Moths here
  • Go to Section D and talk to Cusa to challenge him
  • Mission #6 Start - Talk to Twotongue, agree to help him
  • Mission #6 End - You have everything already, talk to Twotongue again
  • Talk to Centurion to fight Cusa
  • Talk to Centurion again to fight Bam (Ring Fight Champion trophy)
  • Kill Abbott (trophy)
  • Go to the Dining Hall, put poison in Bink's tray
  • Mission #5 End - Talk to The Nurse in Section C of the Recreational Area
  • Mission #7 Start - In the Work Pass section, talk to Shurik
  • In the area where the lights are out, find the loose panel, inside is half of the snitch list for Cuellas
  • Kill the prisoner (Blueskin #3) in the Upper Mines, the guard is giving him a hard time
  • Find Quintana in the Upper Mines, take Shurik's glasses from the top of some crates nearby
  • Find Jagger Valance in the Mining Core, talk to him, you have to help him anyway
  • Later in the Mining Core kill Mosely (Blueskin #4), then Alonzo and Void (Blueskins #5/6)
  • Take the other half of the snitch list from Void
  • Mission #7 End - Back in the Work Pass section, talk to Shurik
  • Mission #3 End - Back in the Recreational Area, talk to Wilkins
  • Mission #1 End - Talk to Jamal-Udeen
  • Mission #2 End - Go to Feed Ward and talk to Cuellas

For info on Cigarette Packs, see the Chain Smoker trophy.

005.jpg  Main Frame Hack (H)(B)

Find the Butcher Bay main frame and input your DNA.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 6 (Mainframe), you have to provide the computer a DNA sample in order to use the guards' weapons. Do so and the trophy will pop.

006.jpg Eye Shine (H)(B)

Find Pope Joe and let him perform the eye shine surgery.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 9 (Pope Joe's Den), after escaping the Pit, you'll meet Pope Joe. After you get his voicebox for him he will perform the surgery on you.

007.jpg Kill Abbott. (H)(B)

Get the opportunity to kill Abbott.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 17 (Feed Ward), once you kill Bam in the ring, you'll be taken to Abbott. Defeat him to get the trophy.

012.jpg Kill Rust (H)(B)

Find Rust and kill him.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 4 (Aquila Territory), you have to kill Rust, another prisoner, in order to get to the infirmary. Rust is a little tougher than the normal prisoner; use a hit-and-run strategy to kill him.

008.jpg Ring Fight Champion (H)(B)

Beat all competition in the Tower 17 ring.

As long as you take the fighting path to reach Abbott (and you should be), this is story-related and cannot be missed. During Checkpoint 16 (Recreation Area), you'll have a chance to talk to Centurion (bowler hat, spade tattoo) and pay him money to get a name of someone to fight. Find that person to challenge them, then return to Centurion. There are 5 people total that you can fight. This trophy stretches across a few different Checkpoints, so you can't do them all at once; they will occur between the other side quests you do for the Bell Boy trophy. See that trophy for more info on when exactly the fights occur.

Once you defeat someone, immediately talk to Centurion for the next name so you can initiate the fight when you first meet them.

Here are the 5 guys you need to kill:

1. Harman – in the same area as Centurion

2. Baasim – in Section B of the Recreational Area

3. Sawtooth – in the mess hall of the Feed Ward

4. Cusa – in Section D of the Recreational Area

5. Bam – appears when you talk to Centurion the last time

009.jpg Control a Riot Guard (H)(B)

Find and control a Riot Guard.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 24 (Security Research 1), you will have a chance to get into a Riot Guard suit. Do so to progress and get an easy trophy.

010.jpg Kill a Heavy Guard (H)(B)

Find and kill a Heavy Guard.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 32 (Fuel Transport), you have to defeat a heavy guard to continue. Shoot the fuel tanks that move about the room to drop them on the heavy guard.

011.jpg Control a Heavy Guard (H)(B)

Find and control a Heavy Guard.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 36 (Facility Control), you'll come across an empty heavy guard machine that you'll need to control in order to continue.

Assault on Dark Athena Trophies

013.jpg  Master of Athena (S)

Complete the Assault on Dark Athena campaign on normal difficulty.

The difficulty trophies do not stack. See Champion of Athena for more info.

014.jpg  Champion of Athena (G)

Complete the Assault on Dark Athena campaign on hard difficulty.

Hard difficulty is not that hard. Play the game on hard from the start. Once you finish the Assault from Dark Athena campaign, switch the difficulty to normal and replay the final chapter to unlock Master of Athena.

016.jpg  Stealth Master (B)

Get through the Cargo Bay without being noticed.

This trophy may take you a couple of tries. You cannot be spotted at any time while you're in the Cargo Bay (Checkpoint 40). You are not "out" of the Cargo Bay until you get into the vent. If you are spotted, press :start: and just restart from the most recent checkpoint to try again – you don't have to do the entire level again if you made it through a previous section without being noticed.

The best way to learn the path is to watch someone else to do it. Here is a video by 0verlord73 showing the optimal route. Remember, stay in the shadows and use :r2: kills on the drones if necessary. Ideally you shouldn't have to kill any of them.

If you are playing on hard difficulty and having trouble doing this trophy, then skip it. After you complete the game, change the difficulty to easy, load Checkpoint 40 and try it again.

025.jpg  Master of Drones (B)

Complete the Main Decks using only two drones.

This one is much easier if you do it on easy difficulty after you complete the game. During Checkpoint 47 (Main Decks) you have to control some drones in order to get out of the Main Decks. You have 4 drones at your disposal but to get this trophy you can only use 2.

Here is a video by judasen showing how it's done. The first drone is used to stop the fan. The second drone is used to destroy all the other drones in the next corridor.

Note: you can get on and off of the control station as much as you want while controlling a drone, as long as you only control 2 actual drones during the entire section.

029.jpg  Margo's Locker (B)

Find and open Margo's Locker.

If you miss this trophy the first time, reload Checkpoint 42 (Crew Quarters) and play from there until you get it.

During Checkpoint 42 you have to kill Margo to progress the story. While in his room, make sure you take the code lying on his bed. If you restart the checkpoint for some reason, you'll have to get the code again.

Fast forward to Checkpoint 46 (Data Pad). In the room where you get the Data Pad is a sign that says "Margo's Locker. Hands Off!" If you have the code you can open the locker and get the trophy.

030.jpg  Miles Letter (B)

Help Miles and transmit his message.

If you miss this trophy the first time, reload Checkpoint 49 (Recycle) and play from there until you get it.

During Checkpoint 49, after fighting the Mech, you'll come across a dude named Miles who is being turned into a cyborg/drone. He asks you to deliver a letter to his family. Accept the request. If you don't, you can't get the trophy.

Then, at the beginning of Checkpoint 51 (Cell Decks Riot), after your spacewalk in the mech, enter the first cell on the right of the cell deck room (where Johns was being held captive previously). Miles' letter will be there. Take it.

At the end of the Checkpoint you will talk to Dascher over the comm. When finished, you'll have the option to send Miles' letter, do so and the trophy will pop.

032.jpg  Bounty Hunter (B)

Collect all bounty cards.

There are 60 total bounty cards. This does not have to be done all in one playthrough. Once you complete the Assault on Dark Athena campaign, you can reload any checkpoint and grab any bounty cards you missed. As soon as you get a bounty card, it is permanently saved; you do not have to get it again if you die.

The cards are a bit easier to find compared to the cigarette packs in Escape from Butcher Bay. The best list to use is the one by madcap1 on X360A (includes spoilers):

015.jpg Open the Vents (H)(B)

Get a Dark Athena vent tool.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 43 (Alternator), Silverman will make a Vent Tool for you.

017.jpg Control an Alpha Drone (H)(B)

Find and control an Alpha Drone.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 60 (Executive), you'll come across an Alpha Unit Control Station. The only way to progress is to get into the Alpha Drone and kick some butt.

018.jpg Kill an Alpha Drone (H)(B)

Find and kill an Alpha Drone.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

You'll first encounter an Alpha Drone in Checkpoint 55 (Bazaar). These suckers are tough. Stay in cover and out of its line of sight. Shoot it five times with your SCAR gun, then detonate all five darts at once to kill it.

019.jpg  Melee Master (H)(B)

Find and beat Iron Lord.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 42 (Crew Quarters), before you get to Margo's Cell, you'll run across the Iron Lord in the hallway. Kill him to get the trophy.

020.jpg  Kill Spinner (H)(B)

Find and kill Spinner.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 59 (Starport), you'll meet up with Spinner near the port where the Dark Athena is now docked. Spinner will be in an Alpha Drone suit.

021.jpg  Ulaks (H)(B)

Find and equip yourself with a pair of Ulaks.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 40 (Cargo Bay), you'll encounter a guard wielding Ulaks. The game allows you to take them when he's dead.

022.jpg  Rebel (H)(B)

Start a Riot on the Athena.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 47 (Main Decks), a riot will begin and prisoners will escape.

023.jpg  Control a Mech (H)(B)

Find and control a Mech on the Dark Athena.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 49 (Recycle), you'll have to fight a Mech. Once you kill the rider, you can get in the suit and use it yourself.

024.jpg  Escape the Athena (H)(B)

Find a way out of the Athena.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 52 (Hangar Bay), you'll fight the Captain of the Dark Athena and the ship will eventually crash land on the planet of Aguerra.

026.jpg  Honest Fighting (H)(B)

Find and kill Jaylor in a fair fist fight.

You'll meet Jaylor in Checkpoint 51 (Celldecks Riot). Kill him with just your fists to get the trophy.

If you are struggling with this one on hard, just skip it. After you complete Assault on Dark Athena, switch the difficulty to easy, then load up Checkpoint 51. He'll be super easy to kill then.

027.jpg  SCAR gun (H)(B)

Find and equip yourself with a SCAR gun.

Story-related, cannot be missed.

During Checkpoint 54 (Crash Site), you'll find a room with a Gas Mask, a NanoMED Health Unit and the SCAR Gun. Take the gun, you need it to progress through the game.

028.jpg  Sniper Rifle (H)(B)

Find and equip yourself with a sniper rifle.

In order to find the sniper rifle, you first have to help Gabril by destroying 5 signal jammers. Complete the requirements for the Gabril trophy first. Then, once you've helped him, check the rooms at the beginning of Checkpoint 58 (Refinery) to find the Sniper Rifle and get the trophy.

031.jpg  Gabril (H)(B)

Find and help Gabril.

At the beginning of Checkpoint 56 (New Venice), go to the right of the first building you come across. Go to the right, kill the guards and go inside. You'll meet Gabril if you activate the video screen. Talk to him about the communications grid and he'll ask you to destroy 5 signal jammers. You have to use the SCAR gun to destroy them.

From this point you'll have to backtrack through the last two checkpoints a bit to find all 5 signal jammers, as they don't appear until you talk to Gabril. You shouldn't have much trouble finding it using the video below from Mahalo, which shows the locations of the jammers:

Online Trophies:

Important!: The online trophies in this game unlock at the end of the match and not when when the requirement is fulfilled. Also, for the trophies with multiple requirements they don't have to be done in one game and can instead be done over multiple games. Another very cool thing is all the trophies can be done in a private match and even over LAN, so these trophies will always be possible even if servers go down! You would need 4 PS3's and 4 copies of the game though ;)!

G7rYaZp.png

The following trophies require 2 players!

(Including yourself)

033.jpg  Winner level 1 (B)

Win 10 matches.

See "Basic Weapon Handling level 3"

034.jpg  Winner level 2 (S)

038.jpg  Basic Weapon Handling level 3 (S)

Kill 10000 people.

This is where you are going to be spending the majority of your time! You are going to want to grind both kills and wins at the exact same time and in my opinion the best way to do that is using this method found by veeto. It will net you 12-13 kills and 1 win every 50-60 seconds. (Including loading times) Using this method you will get 10k kills with still around 200 wins left and some say this method found by Molveo is faster for wins so it might be a good idea to switch over once you reach 10k kills. Here is a video I made showing this boosting method working, I'm using two Playstations but it's the same thing:

This Youtuber also found a very crafty way to boost while being idle! It only requires 2 players but the catch is you both must have turbo controllers, its a very good way to break the grind up and you could leave your Playstation 3 on over night gathering kills and wins. Just take turns each night or even better if you have 2 PS3's! Here is the video if you wish to try this method:

This video is not mine nor Vyrastas's and belongs to Youtube member paulbroughton38, all praise goes to him for finding this wonderful method!

039.jpg  Advanced Weapon Handling (B)

Prove that you can use your weapon under difficult circumstances.

This trophy can be done with a minimum of 2 people, find yourself a boosting partner in the boosting thread and follow these instructions:

  • 5 Kills while Crouched:
Press :square: to crouch then simply kill your boosting partner 5 times.
  • 5 Kills while leaning:
Hold :l1: + :lsleft: or :lsright: then simply kill your boosting partner 5 times.
  • 5 Kills by knocking someone into a pit:
This is best done on "The Factory" map. From where the host spawns run straight ahead and drop down the little drain that's just past the door, after dropping down continue straight ahead until you reach a walkway. On the left and right side you can fall of to your death so get your boosting partner to stand on the edge and shoot them off 5 times. Use the machine gun for best results, just make sure not to kill them with bullets and let the fall kill them instead.
  • 5 Kills while you are jumping:
You can kill two birds with one stone here, play on "Desolation Court" map and and pick-up the SCAR. It's a grenade launcher that lets you detonate the bombs manually. You can find it on the upper level at the far back (The Minigun is at the front, opposite side.) After picking it up fire 2-3 shots onto your boosting partner with :r2: then both of you jump at the same time and the killer must press :circle: to get the kill. Make sure to stand a good distance away from each other so you don't kill yourself. Repeat 5 times.
  • 5 Kills while enemy is jumping:
    See above.

040.jpg  Killer (B)

Get a 4 kill long kill streak. Get a double kill. Get the first kill in a match.

Host a game with these settings:

Game Mode: Deathmatch

Max Players: 2

Max Time: 5 min

Max Points: 20

Map Random: No

Map: Fate's Dam

From where the second player spawns (Non-host) they must turn left and then just run straight until they reach a wall, once they reach this point get them to stay put and spam :r2: as this is the farming zone. The killer must grab the grenade launcher that's found in the center of the map and then spam the other player with grenades, if the other player keeps tapping :r2: to spawn you will keep killing them over and over. Don't move past the Grenade launcher spawn though or the other person will spawn elsewhere. It's also easiest to get the Damage Boost as this makes your grenades a 1 hit kill! It only last a short while but watch my video below to see where it is.

You need to stop shooting after two back to back kills and the announcer will say "Double Kill!" It's really important to stop shooting after the second kill or you will get a "Triple Kill" or "Quadruple kill". If you watch this video you will see where the farming point is, Damage Boost location, and the Grenade launcher spawn point.

041.jpg  Murderer (B)

Get a 8 kill long kill streak. Get a triple kill. Get the last kill in a match.

For this trophy you just want to repeat the same method you used for the "Killer" trophy above, only this time don't stop shooting after the second kill and instead stop after the third kill! The announcer will say "Triple Kill!" after that just make sure to get 8 kills and the last kill in the game then job done.

042.jpg  Dominator (S)

Get a 12 kill long kill streak. Get a quadruple kill. Get the first and last kill in a match.

Again use the same method as the last two trophies i.e Killer + Murderer. This time you don't need to stop after 4 kills though, you can spam :r2: like a mad man! I highly recommend the "Damage Boost" for this one, just listen out for the announcer to confirm the streak then get enough kills to satisfy the kill streak requirement.

044.jpg Juggernaut (B)

Keep on going no matter what.

  • Survive a direct SCAR gun hit:
The SCAR is a grenade launcher that fires blue orb looking grenades that are remote detonated. Not to be confused with the standard grenade launcher. You can find one on the "Desolation Court" map, it's at the far back on the upper level. (Opposite the Minigun and past the "Damage Boost") get your boosting partner to shoot a single orb onto you then have them press :circle: to detonate it, its important you have full health or the blast could kill you!
  • Survive 500 damage:
For this you must get your boosting partner to shoot you a few times then heal up. You heal by picking up the red vials that are found on the ground around the map. A good way to do this is use the grenade launcher, get your friend to fire a single grenade at you that will take your health down to 5-20 then grab the vials until you reach 100 health and repeat until you have gained more that 500 health back.
  • Survive a whole match and win:
This is very easy, just play a Deathmatch and kill your boosting partner over and over until the game ends. You will get this while boosting kills/wins to.

046.jpg Sniper Master (B)

They'll never see it coming.

  • Sniper headshot kill:
Play a Deathmatch on the "Desolation Court" map and grab the sniper that's up on a big crate type thing, if your standing where the Minigun is then head to the far left hand side corner and its here. (Left of the SCAR gun) After you pick it up aim at your partners head with :l2: and pull the trigger! (:r2:)
  • Get a No-scope Sniper kill:
Simply don't aim with :l2: and get a from the hip kill, must be using a sniper!
  • Get a long distance kill:
Get your enemy to stand at the other side of the map and then snipe them, make sure the distance is a good 60-65m.

Iy8B7Yo.png

These trophies require 3 people!

(Including yourself)

045.jpg Underdog (B)

Never give up.

  • Kill Riddick with melee:
For this you must play the Pitch Black mode, have your boosting partner be Riddick then meet up with them and press :r3: to melee, the Shiv also counts. If the game starts and you are Riddick let your partner kill you to switch sides.
  • Kill the leading player of a match:
Create a Deathmatch and then let your partner get a kill so they are in the lead, kill them after and that's it.
  • Kill the person who has killed you over and over:
You might be thinking why does this trophy require 3 people? Well this one wont work unless 3 people are present in the room! Create a Deathmatch and get your friends to join. Have one of them kill you 3-4 times in a row and you will notice that they start to glow white, when you see this kill them and the announcer will say "Comeback!".
  • Win a game after nearly losing:
For this you want to create a Deathmatch with the score limit set to 20, let your friend kill you over and over until they have 19/20 points. As soon as they do start killing them until you get 20 points and win the game.

047.jpg Explosive Master (B)

BOOM!

  • Get a direct kill with the grenade launcher:
For this you will need to use the standard grenade launcher and fire the grenade right at your boosting partner, make sure the grenade hits them and not the ground as splash damage won't count! Two grenades should net you the kill. You will also probably get this while boosting kills.
  • Get a direct kill with the SCAR grenade launcher:
You need to use the SCAR gun for this, if you need help finding it then See "Juggernaut". It's the gun that fires blue explosive orbs that are remote detonated. After you pick the gun up fire 3 orbs onto your boosting partner with :r2: and then detonate with :circle:. Make sure the grenades are actually stuck to your friend or it won't count.
  • Get an out of sight kill with the grenade launcher:
You know how at the start of a Call of Duty match people throw a random grenade for a few lucky kills? Same thing here! You want to tell your boosting partner to hide behind a wall so they are out of sight and then fire a grenade off a wall so it bounces in their direction. As long as you can't see them and you get the kill, it will count.
  • Get an Explosive double kill:
You are going to need 3 people for this one! I suggest using the SCAR gun and stick 2-3 orbs on each player and then blow them up to get two kills at the exact same time. The announcer will say "Double Kill!". If you need any help finding the SCAR gun then See "Juggernaut".
  • Do 600 worth of damage in one life:
You can either kill an enemy over and over or shoot a grenade at your feet and heal up, either works perfectly fine as long as you don't die! If you do die you will have to start over. It's probably easier just to kill an enemy as they spawn with 100 health so 6 kills will get the job done. It's also worth saying that you will without a doubt achieve this when boosting the kills.

048.jpg  Trigger Happy (B)

Don't stop firing until you are sure you are out of ammo.

  • Get a Minigun non-stop firing kill streak:
This one can be done easily with 2 players in a Deathmatch on the "Desolation Court" map, grab the Minigun which can be found on the upper level and head to the center of the map where the "Damage Boost" is located. You will see ammo drops for the Minigun located on the ground around the "Damage Boost" collect them until you have 1000 ammo, they respawn every 10-15 seconds and it wont take long to reach 1000 ammo. Once you have a 1000 stand on one of the ammo drop points and keep your finger down on :r2: and its important you never let go! Now have your boosting partner keep running to you to be mowed down! After about 5 kills you will get the streak. You will never run out of ammo if you stay standing on the ammo spawn point.
  • Get a Minigun double kill:
You need 3 players for this, get 2 of your friends to stand side by side and quickly kill both of them. You will know when you have done it because the announcer will say "Double Kill!" Check above if you need any help finding the Minigun.
  • Fire 5000 Minigun bullets in one round:
You will most likely get this while doing the Non-stop kill streak but if not simply collect 5000 bullets and fire them all off without taking your finger off :r2:.

049.jpg  Melee Expert (B)

Close and personal.

  • Get a melee kill from behind:
Simply run to the back of your boosting partner and press :r3: or use the Shiv.
  • Get a double Melee kill:
Like the other double kills 3 players are required, get your two friends to stand side by side and quickly melee kill both of them. I suggest using the Shiv for better results. To equip the Shiv Hold :r1: then press :rsne: and slash with :r2:.
  • Get a Melee kill streak:
Get 5-6 kills in a row with melee, press :r3: or use the Shiv. Both will work. The announcer will confirm the streak.

The following trophies require 4 people!

(Including yourself)

043.jpg  Hero (B)

Capture a flag. Capture a powercell. Win a round alone against at least 3 enemies.

  • Capture a flag
Capturing a flag is simple and only requires two people, create a CTF game type and get a friend to join you. Once you start run to the other teams base and get the flag, return it to your flag and job done!
  • Capture a powercell
Capturing a powercell is done in the "Butcher Bay Riot" gametype, the problem is you need 4 players to start the game and at this point in the games life that's quite a hard task! Once you have all players in the game start it and find the powercell, its usually in the center of the map. Grab it and then follow the arrow in the top right corner to find the drop of point.
  • Win a round alone against at least 3 people
To win against 3 people you must play on the "Butcher Bay Riot" mode, playing a Deathmatch won't work for some strange reason. You want to split the teams into 2 vs 1 vs 1 the person getting the trophy must be by themselves and to win the game you have to either capture the powercell every round until the game ends or kill all players every round.

050.jpg  Funwrecker (B)

Ruin someone's day.

  • Kill a flag carrier in Capture the Flag:
Get your boosting partner to pick up your flag and then simply kill them while they are holding it.
  • Kill a person carrying the Powercell:
This must be done in a "Butcher Bay Riot" game type and the biggest pain is you need 4 players to start the game! Get one of your boosters to grab the powercell that's usually found in the center of the map and then kill them.
  • Kill an enemy while they are capturing a Powercell:
Get one of your boosting partners to grab the powercell and then tell them to start capturing it, they do this by following the arrow in the top right and holding :triangle: to upload to the computer once they reach it. Kill them before they fully upload it.
  • Kill an enemy while they are using Damage Boost:
Get your boosting partner to pick up the Damage Boost that is found in most maps, its purple in colour and gives all your weapons double damage for a minute or two. You can find it easily in a Deathmatch on the Fates Dam map on the lower level. From where the second player spawns they just have to keep running straight to reach it. After they grab it quickly kill them and job done.
  • Kill an enemy while they are on a kill streak:
Get your boosting partner to kill you 5-6 times until they are on a kill streak and then simply kill them. You will hear the announcer shout when they are on a kill streak.

  • 2 weeks later...

Congratulations! :)

I have some suggestions for improving your guide:

The Bell Boy, Gabril and Sniper Rifle trophies are not missable trophies. These can be gotten with checkpoint select. To be missable you have to play from the start of the game which is not necessary for these trophies. Also you state that Ring Fight Champion trophy is missable in the road map text, but not in the overview. But this trophy is not missable either since it can be done with checkpoint select too.

Just a simple correction and not important at all, but you don't have to watch the entire credits (since its very long and boring) that is mentioned in the roadmap. You can simply press start and exit to the menu. You will get the trophies before the credits roll.

In the Chain Smoker description you don't mention how many packages you have to collect (neither does the Bounty Hunter trophy). Also you link to a guide for a list of cigarette packages but this link is not in Chain Smoker trophy description but in different trophy description (Bell Boy). Specially since you mention a walkthrough in the description. It would also be nice to have an overview of which checkpoints each pack and card is in. Especially since you mention that you can use checkpoint select to find missing pack/card. Using someone else walkthrough might not be the best choice to find them.

The Bell Boy trophy states that you need to complete all side missions and not only 6 as stated in the guide. Althought you list 7 side missions even if the description says 6. There are 9 side missions that are optional and can be missed. You are missing the Shabby and Waman from checkpoint 3 (these are actually two side-missions but they have the same requirement). But you are also missing the Valya's Chamber side mission.

The walkthrough list for the Bell Boy trophy have some stuff that might need an update. Collecting Moths is not a side mission and are only needed for two cigarette packs, so it's unnecessary to mention in the walkthrough for the Bell Boy trophy. For the 'Get Drugs' side mission you only need to do two requirements which are fighting Baasim and find the injector. You mention that you need to kill Asif in Dining Hall. First of all, Asif is not initially in Dining Hall and you shouldn't kill him when you see him. You have to buy a shiv from Cricket for 30 UD in order for Asif to go to the Dining Hall. Then you can kill him in the area where there are no cameras to get the map. You could however get the Red Tube and Injector without killing Asif. I don't think fighting Sawtooth, Cusa or Bam is necessary in order to get the Bell Boy trophy since its part of the story, but I'm not entirely sure. But if they are required for the trophy then you are missing to mention another side mission, to win all fights in the ring. However Killing Abbott is not necessary for the trophy and is part of the story. In your guide Blueskin #3 and Blueskin #4 is the same blueskin, Mosely. You kill Mosley (Blueskin #3) in the Upper Mines, the one with the guard. Then later you will meet Alonzo and Void at Mining Core (NOT Mosely). Which should write Blueskin #4/#5. The link to the location of each cigarette pack seems a bit off since it have nothing to do with the Bell Boy trophy. It should be in the Chain Smoker description. Also the descriptions in that link is very vague since many packages can be hard to find. Also you are missing to mention which checkpoints you will find the characters and items needed for the side missions since you mention that they are done through several checkpoints.

In the Ring Fight Champion trophy description, you meet Centurion in Checkpoint 15 (Tower 17 Base) and not Checkpoint 16. Actually you can do all fights at once. Once you defeat the first fighter, you will be able to reach all other fighters one directly after the other.

For the Kill a Heavy Guard trophy and Kill an Alpha Drone trophy you don't give a strategy on how to beat them. It is mentioned in the Trophy Guide FAQ that you have to do that on boss fights even if its a trophy that you can't miss.

In the description for the Stealth Master trophy, you mention that you have to press R2 to kill drones but do not mention why since L2 is stealth kill while R2 is not. Also what is the point in changing difficulty to easy when you are not going to fight the drones anyway? Either you pass them without them seeing you or you will kill them from behind. So difficulty doesn't matter here.

You mention that you have to enter the first cell to the right in Miles Letter trophy. This is a little confusing and might need a better description. When you enter the room, you will automatically go to the end of the room and jump out of the mech. Now there are two entrances in this room, the one you came in for the first time in this room in previous checkpoint, and the entrance you came now with the mech. The first cell on your right from both these entrances is the wrong cell. When you jump out of the mech you will be facing the mech and behind it, the entrance you entered with the mech. The right cell from this position is the left cell. You have to turn around and look at the entrance you first came into, in order for the 'first cell to right' should be correct.

You didn't mention that you have to de-select your weapon in order for Jaylor to show up during the Honest Fighting trophy. Probably self explanatory, but there might be people who is wondering why they can't find him.

When helping Gabril you have to choose 'Ask about the communications grid' otherwise you can't get the trophy. It would also be nice to list where each signal jammer is and how to reach them. At least it looks more professional than simply use someone else video for it.

How come a big description of the same boosting method is used in both Basic Weapon Handling level 3 trophy description and Killer trophy description? Simply referring to one of the trophy description should be enough since it is the exact same method. As was done with the other kills/wins trophies.

In the Dominator trophy you didn't mention that you have to do a '4 to 1 kill ratio in match' requirement in order to get the trophy, which won't be gotten with the method you mentioned. Seems that every single guide about this game miss that requirement. That's really strange. Also it might be hard to use your boosting method to get 12 kill streak, since you will sometimes get at most 11 kill streak (not including the first kill you have to do to change the spawn point). At least you have to raise the max points to something higher like 100 so you have better chance in getting a 12 kill streak.

For the Sniper Master you mention to make sure you are a distance of 60-65m, but don't mention how you should know that you are at that distance.

To get the 'Payback kill' requirement, you only need to be killed by the same person 2 times and not 3-4 times as stated in the guide. It's even mentioned as tip during the loading screen for multiplayer (hard to miss after playing for the 10000 kill trophy :p)

For the Explosive Master trophy you mention that you have to kill an enemy over and over for the 'Over 600 explosive damage done in one round/life' requirement. But you can't do it with any gun. It have to be the Grenade Launcher or the SCAR gun. Might want to mention that.

The requirement for the 'Over 500 Minigun shots fired in one round/life' in the Trigger Happy trophy isn't to shoot 5000 shots, but only 500 shots.

You normally press R2 to attack with a Shiv, not R3 (mentioned in Melee Expert trophy). But you can press R3 if holding a weapon. Also the game counts at least 4 players killed as a streak. So it's not necessary to kill 5-6 as mentioned in several places.

You might want to mention how you capture a powercell in Hero trophy since it isn't mention in the game or the game manual. You have to press triangle in order to load the powercell which isn't obvious. For the 'Round won alone against 3 or more enemies' requirement it doesn't have to be 'Butcher Bay Riot' game mode but could also be 'Arena'.

You don't get double damage when picking up a Damage Boost powerup that you mentioned in Funwrecker trophy. You will get three times stronger as mentioned in the in-game tip during loading screen. Also you mention that the announcer would shout when someone is on a streak, but don't say what the announcer is shouting.

How come all your requirement titles in the multiplayer trophies are not using the titles used in-game? Since you already are writing a description on each requirement, it's pointless to rewrite the title description. That would be more confusing for a player who is following the guide, since he can't make a direct connection to what requirements he is missing by comparing your guide to the in-game list. I can't understand why someone would make it harder to follow a guide. If the player wants a more descriptive explanation to the requirement, he could simply read the body text. The reason why other guides does rewrite the requirement titles are because they don't have a description that goes with it.

The game misspells several checkpoint names, but you have corrected them in your guide. Shouldn't you use the misspelled names when referring to a checkpoint? At least that makes the guide more true to the game.

Thanks for that, i agree with some things and others i dont.

Im making changes now but i wont be changing everything, i changed the requirement titles because its easier to read and follow, the in-game list is confusing and instead i went with straight to the point titles. The whole point of this guide is to be followed, if someone chooses not to do so then thats their problem. Not only that but they are in the same order so even looking at the in-game list you can easily tell what is what.

Sure thing, it was just suggestions and my own opinion. You decide what you think you should change since its your guide :)

Good point, that was a carry over from my roadmap, I wasn't thinking about it when I updated for the guide.

In the Chain Smoker description...

The Bell Boy trophy... You are missing the Shabby and Waman from checkpoint 3 (these are actually two side-missions but they have the same requirement). But you are also missing the Valya's Chamber side mission.

The walkthrough list for the Bell Boy trophy...

In the Ring Fight Champion trophy description...

These trophies can be done many different ways, I put together one possible way based on how I played it. I feel the best way to get these is to just use the 100% walkthrough that I linked, getting the cig packs along the way. For Bell Boy my intent was to provide a basic checklist of what you need to do in one possible order, that way you wouldn't forget anything. The moth things was there in case you're doing the cig packs at the same time (which I recommend). And I'm pretty sure you don't need the missions you listed, I know I got the trophy without doing the Valya one.

When helping Gabril you have to choose 'Ask about the communications grid' otherwise you can't get the trophy. It would also be nice to list where each signal jammer is and how to reach them. At least it looks more professional than simply use someone else video for it.

If you watch the video you'll know what to do, sometimes it's not necessary to spell it all out. I personally found it easier to follow the video and since you have to backtrack, you should know the area well enough to figure out where they are going in the video. I'll make a brief update to clarify, though.

Everything else I think is fine as is, some of it is common sense and the "boss" fights are pretty simple. There are multiple ways to do some of these trophies and these were the methods I used.

Oh, didn't know you could get the trophy without that side mission. The trophy description is probably misleading since it says to complete all side missions. You do need to complete that side mission for a cigarette pack though.

Yeah I've read stuff on other sites and there doesn't seem to be a specific concensus on what you need. If you're using the walkthrough and keeping up with the checklist you should be good to go.

  • 1 month later...
the funwrecker trophy only requires 3 people.

you only need 4 for win a match with 3 enemies at least.

You need 4 people to start a Butcher Bay Riot... The powercell is caputured in that mode thus 4 players are required. That was my experience anyway, me and Etopiax tried it with 3 players and the game wouldnt start until a 4th player joined the game.
