Introduction:

This is a pretty straightforward and short fighting game that is one of the predecessors to the great BlazBlue franchise: there’s definitely similarities visible between the games, although the difficulty in gameplay and trophy-hunting is significantly toned down. Required for some trophies are ULTIMATE CHAOS moves, which are the moves on the bottom of the command list (in the pause menu) that use up a full gauge when performed. You’ll know it when you see it. When an opponent is defeated using an ULTIMATE CHAOS move, the screen will have a blue background patterned across it, so you know you’ve done it correctly.

Roadmap:

1) STORY MODE

Without changing the settings, clear STORY MODE with whichever character you like. The goal in this mode is to get all of the endings (two for each character), as well as knocking out the miscellaneous action trophies along the way. Unlocking each character’s Ending B is thankfully very simple and the same for each character: defeat your first three opponents with an ULTIMATE CHAOS move. Afterward, a notice will flash across the screen announcing a “New Challenger is Approaching!” Once you defeat them, you are locked into Ending B (even if you lose and have to Continue). To get Ending A, make sure you don’t defeat all three with ULTIMATE CHAOS. That’s all there is to getting all of the endings. You can check which ones you’ve already obtained in the Gallery area of the Main Menu. In addition to getting all of the endings, try to perform the random tasks to get the miscellaneous STORY MODE trophies: most should happen naturally. It’s recommended that you always play STORY MODE at the default setting until you achieve Call Me Number One!: it’s not something too easily done, and it can come back to bite you if you achieve it (and don’t get the trophy) on a different setting.

Trophies unlocked in this step:

(B) First Timer

(B) Hidden Secret

(B) Story Teller of CHAOS

(B) Call Me Number One!

(B) Ultimate KO

(B) Perfection

(B) Strategist

(B) Deadly Blow

(B) Never Give Up

2) SURVIVAL MODE

This step is arguably the most difficult in the game, and it involves clearing the Survival Mode. This requires 50 wins in a row, and there are no Continues. <Strategy will be written once I get there.

Trophies unlocked in this step:

(G) Survivor

3) Clean-Up

Grinding in PRACTICE and VS MODE should be all that’s left to complete at this point. If Unlocking Expert hasn’t popped yet, check the gallery after you’ve completed the other miscellaneous trophies: if you’ve gotten them all, you should have unlocked everything! Congratulations on your 100%, and I hope you’ve enjoyed the game.

Trophies unlocked in this step:

(B) Money Worth

(B) Battle Maniac

(S) Unlocking Expert

(B) Hard Worker

Trophy Guide:

Finish STORY MODE at difficulty "4"

Finish a playthrough of STORY MODE with the difficulty at “4” (the default difficulty) or higher. Shouldn’t prove too difficult, the only matches that are at all tough might be Celia II and Kudlak-Sin. As long as you keep the pressure on these two, it’s quite easy.

See all Endings

Unlocking each character’s Ending B is thankfully very simple and the same for each character: defeat your first three opponents with an ULTIMATE CHAOS move. Afterward, a notice will flash across the screen announcing a “New Challenger is Approaching!” Once you defeat them, you are locked into Ending B (even if you lose and have to Continue). Finish the STORY MODE until its end, and the trophy should pop during your ending. To get Ending A, make sure you don’t defeat all three with ULTIMATE CHAOS. Simply get Endings A and B for every character. You can check which ones you’ve already obtained in the Gallery area of the Main Menu.

Spend over 10 hours of Game Time

If you have a second controller: set the Round Timer to Infinity in the Settings (in the Main Menu), start a VS Match with two players, and leave. Come back later to your trophy.

If you do not have a second controller: you may achieve this on your way to getting all of the other trophies. If not, just enjoy the game and challenge yourself with the highest difficulty until 10 hours are met.

Play over 200 player matches

Play 200 matches in VS Mode in the Main Menu. Change the Settings to One Round for VS Mode wins to make this fly by twice as fast (or more). They CANNOT be played VS a CPU, so a second controller is necessary. You can check how many matches have been played in RECORD in the Main Menu.

Score over 5,000,000 points in STORY MODE at default setting

It’s recommended that you always play STORY MODE at the default setting until you achieve this: it’s not something too easily done, and it can come back to bite you if you achieve it (and don’t get the trophy) on a different setting. You MUST be on Ending B's path, as you get the extra fight which makes it possible to receive a score over 5,000,000.

There are four point categories to keep in mind when attempting this trophy

1) Health

2) Time

3) Bonus

4) In-match

1) Obviously, you will be aiming to get as many perfects as you can...a two-round perfect will net you over 600,000 per match. If you do get hit, however, don't start to get sloppy, as the more health you have remaining, per round, the more points you get.

2) The faster you take out an opponent, the more points you are awarded. Simple.

3) Getting Perfect Bonuses and Straight Bonuses (winning two rounds without losing any) add quite a bit of points at the end of a match.

4) During the match, there a few other ways to get quite a bit of points. Every time you hit your opponent, you get points, so getting high-hitting combos that do little damage may be a quick way to rack up points. Getting an Ultimate KO finish is another way to add a decent amount of points to your score (using Celia's Destruction Chaos adds an insane amounts to your score: approximately 200,000 for finishing the round with it).

One strategy to help get more Perfects than may usually be possible is to play as Kudlak-SIN, and use the health-absorption Ultimate Chaos, as it, yes, restores health. If you get hit and then restore your health through this method, it DOES still count as a perfect.

A consistent way I've found to get perfects in most rounds is to knock your opponent down in some way (trip, heavy air hit), and then dash towards them before they can get up. The INSTANT they are hittable, crouch punch, crouch kick, and then crouch heavy kick, in order to trip them again. This works great against all characters EXCEPT Bravo, Hermes, Celia II, and Kudlak, but it will still work against them sometimes (I achieved this trophy with Celia, as her crouch heavy kick has wicked range due to her slide. You can open the match with it and avoid the stress of making sure you get the first hit in [due to its range, you can use just this single move to take out Bravo, as long as you back out of his throwing range every time afterward).

Collect all illustrations and movies in GALLERY

Collect Ending A and B for every character, play survival mode (you do not need to complete it), and play as MG Hikaru at least once (press left when hovering over Hikaru's portrait on character select). You have to actually enter the GALLERY in order for the trophy to pop. There seem to be multiple ways to unlock the gallery items (and it is known to sometimes be glitchy), so if you haven't unlocked all the items yet, start going for the other trophies and check back after getting each one. By the time you get them all (and have picked MG Hikaru) you will definitely unlock this.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1862/EB2.jpg Ultimate KO (B)(H)

KO opponent by ULTIMATE CHAOS in STORY MODE

ULTIMATE CHAOS moves are the moves on the bottom of the command list (in the pause menu) that use up a full gauge when performed. You’ll know it when you see it. When an opponent is defeated using an ULTIMATE CHAOS move, the screen will have a blue background patterned across it, so you know you’ve done it correctly.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1862/C50.jpg Perfection (B)(H)

Win by Perfect in STORY MODE

Win a round in STORY MODE without getting hit (chip damage via blocking exists in this game). You can tell if you have full health by your health bar having a gradient from yellow to green. When you have taken damage, it is a single solid color. When a Perfect is achieved, the word will be written on the screen. If you can’t manage it on the Default Setting, reduce the difficulty in Settings (in the Main menu) to increase your chances.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1862/A32.jpg Strategist (B)(H)

Win by Time Over in STORY MODE

Cause the timer to reach zero by not KO-ing your opponent (or getting KO-ed), AND making sure that you have more health than they do when this happens. If it is proving too difficult, you can reduce the timer length in Settings (in the Main menu) to increase your chances.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1862/79E.jpg Deadly Blow (B)(H)

Get hit by CELIA II's DESTRUCTION CHAOS in STORY MODE

Note: Celia II will rarely (if ever) use this move in the lower difficulties, so you must increase the difficulty level beyond the standard 4 (I got to trigger immediately on difficulty level 7, and a few matches later, she used it again, so it's pretty consistent). It is also recommended that the rounds for each match be set to 3, as one round is likely not enough to gain the 3 bars (and it takes some time to actually get to her, so 5 is unnecessary).

In order for Celia II to use this move, she will need at least 3 gauges of her bar filled up. At that point, all you can do is hope she uses it. Ways for her bar to get filled include her hitting you, as well as you hitting her. Defeating her for one round is usually not a bad strategy, as it boosts her bar. When she uses this move, the text "UNBLOCKABLE" will flash across the screen. Start walking toward her (arm's length should be fine) and you will be smote and pop the trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1862/10A.jpg Never Give Up (B)(H)

Continue in STORY MODE for the first time

Lose a match in STORY MODE, and then press :start: to Continue before the countdown timer expires.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1862/C03.jpg Hard Worker (B)(H)

Spend over 1 hour in PRACTICE MODE at once

This one is thankfully easier than some other fighting games’ time-based Training Mode trophies, as it does NOT have to be active training. Choose PRACTICE MODE, select your character, etc. and just wait. If you like, simply leave and do something else for an hour and come back to your trophy.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1862/0F5.jpg Character Love (B)(H)

Use the same character more than 100 times

If this still hasn’t been obtained by the time you are attempting Battle Maniac, simply play as the same character repeatedly (up to 100 times) until the trophy pops. The customizable moves or color do NOT need to be the same to count toward the total. You can see how many times your most used character has been selected in RECORD in the Main Menu.

NOTE TO MODS: I will be fixing this up before I submit it (posted this here on the basis of an incomplete guide is better than no guide!) One trophy strategy left!
