phish5529
Ok at least mirrors edge had a unique edge and haze had.... uuuurm.... guns and stuff but this game is the worst bloody game I have ever played in my life!!! The trophies are completely unattainable...... it prides itself on its graphics... which are rediculously terrible!!! they are grainy and boxey the whole game looks like a 1985 Ford Escort.... Not only does the game look awful, but it is completely impossible,. I spent at lest two hours of tutorials and I still have no idea how to play, on the first races I ewin for the first kilometer and then end up last, my best position is 12/16!!!!! to learn how to play you must navigate menus inside menus inside menues inside another menu which is encased in small porcelein money box locked inside the stomach of a pixie!!!! I am seriously dissapointed of which could have been a really well done unique game... if you are going to make a shite game at least make it an easy trophy game so someone will buy it.... I can ' believe I spent £30 on this shit... at least it still has a £20 trade in value, I am taking it back for the GoW collection vol2 tommorrow! GGGGRRRR this is sooooo bad, please avoid!!!! Martin HFCRL
To be fair im doing pretty well on the game. I have won over 100 races. I agree the controls can be a bit annoying but ive found it easier 2 just play with one motion controller instead of 2. The trophies are very time consuming as ive been on it 4 nearly 2 weekends now and only just done 18% of trophies. But im pretty enjoying the game at the mo. phish5529
Ah i did it with a sixaxis controller... I was going to use move but i had lent the cam to a friend.... maybe that would have made life easier, oh well i traded it for cars 2 which is awesome... platted in in a about 5 hours! still has a £25 trade in in game in the UK so if you get bored, trade quick!!! Energy2k8
Oke, so it is a terrible game because you can't figure out the controls??? You traded it for Cars 2 and it is awesome because you platted it in 5 hours?? I am playing on the DS3 as well and have no problems getting wins/podiums.. Obviously this is not a game for everyone and only for the horse racing fans like myself...

Obviously this is not a game for everyone and only for the horse racing fans like myself... dont get me wrong, I am a huge racing fan.... the fact that i cannot master the controls is not the main complaint.... its that to master the controls you must navigate through 15 hundred menus inside menus.... also one of the main advertisments for this are the its claims of incredible graphics.... which it isnt close to. I understand that some people would enjoy this game.... but this is a trophy thread and at the time i was angry because i felt beaten by it! plus its ok as i managed to get a full refund as i claimed that the graphics claims were false advertising haha...... good luck to those who get on with it.... dezkly
This game isn't bad at all but I can see why some get frustrated.. Graphics look to be almost the same as the past few years.. As far as winning.. Its like real horse racing.. its all about timing and what horse you pick to ride. If your on the long shot with low stats and you rush them right out of the gate.. He/she is going to drop quick at the end. The controls can be a pain with all you have to do to build up a quick boost at the end. This game cant be rushed and will take some time to platinum.. TIDQ
I just want to say that I completely disagree with the OP. I've never played a horse-racing game before, and I'm actually very bad at driving games. And I found this game to be incredibly easy once I learned the controls. Just because you don't have the patience to do the control tutorials, doesn't make it a bad game. And if that's all it takes for you to give up on getting a platinum trophy then, I mean, stick to Disney games.
BrakoV5
To be honest the gallop racer series was more fun that G1 Jockey. I had them all for Playstation and Playstation 2. Champion Jockey was what I was waiting for all this gen, only to feel so badly ripped off after release. This was basically a badly ported version of G1 4, with only certain characters and tracks shifted over from Gallop Racer. With that in mind I really started to enjoy career mode to the point of doing 15 seasons without skipping anything. Loved it in fact. But when I tried to get the 1000G, that's when problems started to happen. The game is broken on 360 and cannot be completed to 100% completion. Not sure what its like on PS3 but I imagine its the same. Its the challenges that are bugged. Only now and then will the game try and fix itself to give you the correct horse for the challenge. If not though, then you're really screwed. And what will prevent me from buying from this scum (KOEI) ever again. Is not the fact that it had bugs. But the fact it was broken and rather than fix it they sent out DLC packs. Sickening. Really gutting though for the horse racing fans.
