snooka
hi, if this was mentioned elsewhere or this method is too obvious feel free to move/delete this post this procedure may help some people with gold results as its possible to get "infinite" thinking time without to pause the game and to not loose your combo by abusing the "undo" function: I noticed that the combo meter is set to full when undoing an action (no matter where it was before - if it was at least not empty) and you dont get any penalties by using undo ("Select" button) I tried this on normal difficulty in the EN version (can not confirm this so far for other versions / difficulties) How it works: 1.) when you need time to think: move any cube (no matter if it makes sense or not => move it anywhere) 2.) think 3.) when you found a solution or the boss comes too close / bottom lines drop etc => press undo 4.) the moved block moves back where it was before step 1.), combo meter is full, combo is not lost, boss and dropped bottom lines are back to the state before step 1) 5.) go on climbing also it possible do change random blocks with this "trick": when random blocks (from the later levels and some boss levels) dont come out in your favor simply press undo and they are randomized again. e.g. a random block turns to a breaking block => press undo => its randomized again in another block unfortunately this is not possible in babel mode since there is no "undo" hope this helps someone as i didnt see this mentioned in the trophy guide Edited September 6, 2012 by snooka

RandomHypnotica
It's gonna help me, cause i like to replay all of the game for each ending, so it means i can skip easier
pooyas
you can skip stages uf you get the gold prize on each stage
TheCrazyHand
you can skip stages uf you get the gold prize on each stage Yeah, I never do it though, not unless I just want to view different endings in short order. I play the game to play it, not watch it.
Equirah
I will add a bit of information when it comes to the infinite thinking time though (actually it's weird that i haven't found this in other threads/posts/in the throphy guide). So if you hit pause, you get time to think but you cant really see the puzzle so that's not much help but if you hit the PS button and go to XBM you'll have a clear view of that section of the game and the counter/blocks won't fall (tested). What that means is anytime you're faced with a though situation you can just back out and think about it without any penalty.
Teddy547
Actually this is a more or less common "strategy" for babel. Although i did not use it myself until now (Altar conquered in pairs, Menhir solo) i might use it in the other two stages.
