SWOTBM
Just curious as to what method you guys/girls are using. I'm mainly using the D-pad as it gives more control over my inputs, although it does make my thumb cramp up after a few hours of play I have tried the analogue stick but seems almost too sensitive in a way, although I'm sure if you master it then it could be much more fluid. I'm particularly interested to hear from those of you who have completed the Babel trials
doomgun
I prefer using the D-pad for tackling the main Nightmare stages, but whilst walking around stray sheep and the landings I'd use Analog sticks.
raz3r1
So far i have completed Altar and Menhir and i´m using the D-pad. It´s just as you say, i feel like i lose some controll over my character when i´m using stick.
Xzero
D-pad because the stick can cause a lot of mistakes at the wrong time.
Maldron
My experience with analog has always been movement relative to position and direction. My experience with D-pad has always been strict left or right based on camera. I needed the latter to stop making stupid mistakes.
VOOT
D-Pad so far.
Pokkit_
This is one of those games where using the D-Pad makes things much easier during gameplay. I made a lot of stupid mistakes using the analogue stick during the puzzles.
Novibear
Directional Pad all the way Analog when its time to get plastered and text though
theinsanething
Pretty much what everyone else is saying. D-Pad for Puzzles Analog for everything else.
CanadianSurfer
D-pad works well. That's what I tend to use. I find that it can get kind of annoying when you are behind the blocks though, coz the controls can reverse depending on the camera angle.
Creoena
I probably should use the D-pad but I use the analog. Analog is just quicker for me to switch direction (for example trying to get to the next block before a collapsing block collapses where I have to change direction to do it). I'm just too used to using analog I guess.
The soul of link
D-pad is best. With the analog you can get out of control.
Jusmel
I used D-Pad.. Analog just messes everything and I feel it's too sensitive or just maybe I'm just not good with it lol.
Crimson46
dpad for me. Tried analog but it was way too sensitive.
Puzzler
D-Pad for puzzles I've found to be far more precise, when walking around though I use the Analogue Stick.
SGDave
I switched a lot. mainly analog, but when I noticed I needed to do a lot of precision moves I'd sweap to D-Pad. Sick and tired of going to turn round and accidentally stepping into the path of a falling block because of the analog.
Terminator
D-Pad for puzzles I've found to be far more precise, when walking around though I use the Analogue Stick. This^ The Sticks are pain to use during the Puzzles so I rarely use them.
souj83
I alway been using the D-pad for this game as I feel that the stick will force me to make too many wrong turning. But the D-pad is giving me a bit of thumb cramp as I rarely use the D-pad this much on a single game!
AIRALEX
dpad here, i´d tap a lot
SpadesOfDarkness
I used the D pad for everything! Made too many mistakes with the analog stick. I only used the analog stick when I was walking around the Stray Sheep. Edited March 17, 2012 by SpadesOfDarkness
Saiho
D-pad for the precision. I have tried switching to analogue because of babel stages. After long uses of the D-pad, my fingers start to get sore. But I rather have a sore finger than dying near the end of say 9-5 on hard mode due to inaccurate input from the analogue stick (has happened before). Bridget
D-pad is the better choice.
iknowlondon
D-Pad all day
Totavier
My vote goes to D-Pad, is more comfortable and precise (thinking right this is the only PS3 game that i play using only the D-Pad)
therealagent81
I use Analog for quick movements side to side, but use the D-Pad for more touchy scenarios. IDK, it's wierd. Actually, now I think about it, I wonder how much fun it would be to try using an Arcade stick to play xD?
