Step 1: Complete the game on Normal Mode.

Complete Chapter 1-6 on Normal Mode. Chapters 7 and on do not have to be completed, as they are bonus chapters. For beating the game for the first time you will obtain Vampire Hunter. You should be able to get Bone Cold Justice, Grasshopper, and maybe Slick Kick as well. If you're playing online or with friends, then Lifeguard and Grim Synergy should be gotten during this step.

Step 2: Complete the game on Hard Mode.

Complete Chapter 1-6 on Hard Mode. Once again, Chapters 7 and on do not have to be completed. For beating the game on hard you will obtain Hunter Legend. I suggest playing online with a few people to make it easier.

Step 3: Farming and clean up.

Farm the rest of your items/money/kills for Pack Rat, Wicked Deep Pockets, and Slaughtervania. Any missed trophies should also be gotten here like Poetic Justice and Boned (online only).

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1120/01.jpg Lifeguard (B)

Bring a comrade back from the dead.

When playing a co-op game (local or online), obtain a Water of Life by opening a blue treasure chest. When a teammate dies, they turn into a skeleton with a halo above their head. Stand next to the skeleton and press :r2: to resurrect them. If you want to boost this online, head over to the Trophy Boosting Thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1120/02.jpg Slick Kick (B)

Defeat a boss using sliding.

The easiest is Chapter 1 boss. You can damage the boss any way you want, but the attack that kills it must be a slide. Damage the legs until the armor around his legs breaks. Hit him a few more times until he's low on HP but don't actually kill him. Now keep sliding into his legs until he's dead. It's advisable to have a decent defense stat while doing this to prevent death.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1120/03.jpg Bone Cold Justice (B)

Defeat an enemy by hitting back a Skeleton's bone.

I got this trophy naturally during Chapter 1. You need to hit a Skeleton's bone while in the air so it deflects back at the Skeleton and destroys it (or another enemy). The bone must be hit while it is going up into the air. If the bone is coming down to the ground, it will destroy the bone rather than deflect it.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1120/04.jpg Grim Synergy (B)

Defeat a boss using a Dual Crush.

The easiest is Chapter 1 boss. Damage the boss as much as possible without actually killing him. Stand next to your teammate and press :r2:, which will initiate the Dual Crush attack. If the boss was low enough on HP, he will die. If not, try again until he dies. Dual Crush attacks require MP to use. If you want to boost this, head over to the Trophy Boosting Thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1120/05.jpg Poetic Justice (B)

Defeat an ally who has been seduced by the enemy.

This trophy can only be gotten on Chapter 6 or 7 and requires at least two characters.

Chapter 6: Dracula must be in his third form for this to happen. When in his third form, he will use a spell that casts out heart projectiles. Have a female character get hit with one of the hearts, which will result in the character attacking her allies and having a heart above her head. Quickly kill the character before the spell wears off. It's advisable for the female character to be weak for a quick kill.

Chapter 7: During the boss fight with Astarte, she will do a similar hearts attack that Dracula does. However, her hearts only affect male characters. Again, it's advisable for the male character to be generally weak.

If you want to boost this online, head over to the Trophy Boosting Thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1120/06.jpg Vampire Hunter (B)

Destroy the lord of Castlevania.

Defeat Dracula, the boss of Chapter 6. Dracula has three forms, his human form, his demon form, and his final form is a three headed, winged demon.

Form 1: His human form is the easiest part of this battle. First he'll teleport around the room and cast Hellfire, Inferno, or fire pillars from the ground. When he teleports, try to jump over him to avoid damage and keep hitting his head. If he teleports in a corner, jump kick his head to avoid damage. Keep this up and he'll switch to his second form.

Form 2: His demon form is a little harder but still easy if you know what you're doing. He can shoot a fireball to the ground creating a wave, jump over characters and poison them with projectiles, shoot a large beam (like Chapter 1 boss), and summon ghosts that chase you and can curse you when hit. The fireball wave is easy to dodge, simply jump over it. When you see him jump, try to run to the opposite side of the room to avoid poison, or try to dodge the poison. The large beam can be avoided by running to the opposite side of the room and double jumping just as he shoots it. Ghosts can be tricky to dodge but keep jumping and running around. Keep attacking him and dodge all the attacks and he will go down. Then he'll change to his third form.

Form 3: His three headed, winged demon form is his hardest. You'll notice that he has three heads and giant claws, both of which can damage you if you run into them. He has many attacks in this form. He has his claw swipe, he can shoot triangular projectiles at players, and shoot out heart projectiles. When a female gets hit with a heart projectile, Dracula will have temporary control over that character. If a male gets hit, he will only take damage. He can also summon other spells which are indicated by a circle in front of him. When the circle is red, he will cast fire pillars below an ally. Just keep running back and forth to avoid them. When it's orange, he'll shoot a fireball to the ground a create a wave similar to the one created in his second form. Simply double jump over it. When the circle is purple, there will be purple lines all around the room. Be sure to get in between the lines before he shoots his lasers. When it's red and white he will cast Demonic Megiddo, which is a large ball of dark energy that does massive damage. The only way to avoid this is to stand in the very corner of the room. He also can cast immunities upon himself. When he glows dark blue, he is immune to physical attacks. when he glows light blue, he is immune to magical attacks. Keep damaging him and try to avoid all damage possible. Like I said before, playing online will greatly increase your chances of defeating him. If you're having trouble, go back and farm for better equipment.

Jump kick 30 times in a row without touching the ground.

The easiest is Chapter 1 boss. Double jump above his head and press , :cross:. Now keeping hold down  and keep pressing :cross:. He may jump around which will hit you and break your combo. Just start again and you should get it. It's easier if you have another player distracting him.

Another easy way is jumping on a stack of Bone Pillars, which can be found in Chapter 2. Depending on your damage, you can get about 10 hits on each head.

Tip from XainTheGreat:

Jump kicking on an partner's head 30 times in a row will unlock this trophy as well.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1120/08.jpg Boned (S)

Defeat a boss with 5 players in skeleton form.

The easiest is Chapter 1 boss. This trophy must be gotten online with five other players. When you reach the boss, have five of the players die intentionally by the boss. Now just simply have the final character kill him, but make sure the final character can kill him. If you want to boost this online, head over to the Trophy Boosting Thread.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1120/09.jpg Pack Rat (S)

Collect a large number of items.

Collect 300+ different items. All 300+ items do not have to be in your inventory at the same time. As long as you have the item recorded in your Item Compendium, you don't have to keep it. Items, weapons, shields, spells, sub-weapons, Martial Arts, armor, etc. all count towards this. Each character has specific weapons or spells that can only be obtained by that character, so be sure to play as each one. The trophy should unlock somewhere around 320 items or so.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1120/10.jpg Wicked Deep Pockets (S)

Amass 1,000,000 gold.

Collect 1,000,000 gold. Farm for gold and sell useless items. Your gold must say 1,000,000 for this trophy to unlock, so it is not accumulative.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1120/11.jpg Slaughtervania (S)

Rack up 10,000 enemy kills.

Kill 10,000 enemies. No real easy way of getting this, just keep playing the game. All of the character's kills count toward this trophy. You can check each character's kills in the Character Selection menu.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1120/12.jpg Hunter Legend (G)

Complete Hard Mode.

Complete the game on Hard Mode. This step could be extremely hard for some people, so I highly suggest finding a team and playing online. You can find people at the Trophy Boosting Thread. Hard Mode requires skill, teamwork, and high level equipment, and even then it can be difficult. I suggest farming for equipment on easier levels before heading onto the harder levels.

In theory you could earn this a lot faster by just slaughtering things by yourself in normal mode. Playing online with other people means losing a lot of potential kills. I'd guess the best way to blitz this particular trophy would be to go to one of the areas with the infinitely respawning enemies (like the medusa heads heads or the zombies that pop out of the floor) and then just going nuts until time runs out. And repeat that about a million times.

Mind you I don't actually suggest doing this for sake of your sanity. But if all you cared about was getting kills as fast as possible I guess that would be the way to do it.

Thanks for the tip! And yes, that does sound extremely boring :p

I haven't tried this yet, but I'm thinking another easy stage to get the "Boned" trophy might be the Chapter 3 boss, after knocking the boss down twice with the giant hammer and resetting it for the third hit, then everyone can die and run away, then someone just needs to throw the switch.

Seems like it would take a while to reset the hammer three times, but it does sound safer.

Ok, the Medusa Heads & Zombies are NOT infinite.

For example, the first area of Chapter 1, there are around 9 Zombies there. The Medusa Heads in Chapter 6 seems like they keep respawing but they are limited too. I haven't tried out the Retro Medusa Heads in Chapter 10 yet.

Can the "Poetic Justice" trophy be unlocked in local Co-op? I just tried to get it but somehow I wasn't able to hit the second character despite beeing charmed? (I played ch.6 with Charlotte and Julius)

Do you have to do something specific?

I haven't tried it on Local Co-op, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

You can unlock the Grim Synergy trophy by playing solo with two controllers and switching until you reach the boss (did it in chapter 1).

I did a first run in chapter 1 (normal) to see how many hits I needed to kill Gergoth (usefull for Slick Kick too), then play it again with two controllers and use the Dual Crush before Gergoth dies.

It's a bit tricky, but it works, did it on my first try.

What about the Retro Red Skeletons in Chapter 10? You can't kill them, but everytime you beat them so they fall apart again you get +1 kill in your Monster Composium Book... I haven't tested if this counts towards the trophy though, but if it does I think this is THE way to fast forward this trophy.

Great guide

That "boned" trophy is a real pain in the ass.

Chapter 10 is only for DLC??

Medusa head is the best for farming in chapter 6.

Also do anyony have the list of the itens, my character dies so easily in hard mode. I thought that would be more defensive armors...

Suggestions for the trophy guide:

Poetic Justice: Clarify the gender of the character in order to be seduced by the boss, a lot of players seem to miss this piece of information.

Pack Rat: I got this playing my 2nd character (Shanoa, after Alucard). You want to go for this after getting the Wicked Deep Pockets trophy, because you will have 1mil+ at this point. What you do is you choose another character, preferably from the other gender (as there are specific male/female items) and run through some maps with your second character. Having obtained most common equipment go into the shop and buy whatever is "0 stock", this will add to the item compendium. If you still lack item entries, pick another character, loot some common items and "cleanup" by buying unacquired items in the shop. Having about 100-200k helps in boosting this trophy.
