Introduction

This DLC pack for F1 Race Stars offers 5 very easy trophies that can be obtained in a very short amount of time. The Canadian track follows the premise of the tracks in the main game, with a recognisable start and finish, and some creativity in-between, which will see you race across an ice rink, and dodge moose and groundhogs that pop-up from the ground as you attempt to beat the opposition on a frantic, short track.

Walkthrough

1 - Offline

To start off with create a custom trophy chase event with the maximum amount of points to win (25000) and the speed class to 1000cc for Trophy Hunter. This can easily be combined with Maple Highway as the track is pretty short and you'll have plenty of opportunities to get the hidden key for the secret shortcut.

If you are feeling brave, then it is possible to get 3 trophies in one event. By creating the trophy chase event mentioned above on 3000cc, you can also obtain Canada Expert in the same race. If not, then simply create a custom 2 lap sector snatch event for this trophy.

By now you should be familiar with the new track and can attempt Canadian Gold in Time Trial mode.

2 - Online

For this final step you will need to find a boosting partner and create a private custom race online for Road Trip: Canada.

Earn a Gold Time Trial record on Canada (G)

The gold times in time trial are not anywhere near as difficult as the tracks from the main game, making this trophy considerably easier. I managed to get a gold time in my very first run, while making a few mistakes. As long as you take the shortcuts (boosting across the grass at the start of the lap & the shortcut during the ice rink section) and grab most of the boosts, then it shouldn't take more than a few laps to get a gold time.

Win an online race on Canada (S)

There is almost no one playing this DLC track online, so it is much quicker and easier to boost this trophy straight away. Create a private custom race with damage off, power-ups to simple and the speed class on 1000cc; and invite your boosting partner to join. Like all other online races, you will have to beat the AI as well as your boosting partner, so this may take several attempts. The AI are very easy to beat on this track as they lose a lot of time through the icy section of the track.

Collect 200 trophies on Canada (B)

Create a custom trophy chase event using the Canadian track and set the winning score to 25000 points with the speed class set to 1000cc (you can also disable damage and set power-ups to simple to make this easier). 1 trophy is worth 100 points, so you will need 200 trophies to unlock the PS3 trophy. A trophy will count as long as you pick it up - even trophies that you've dropped will still count to your overall total (the trophy popped for me when I had a score of about 14500). The trophy will unlock long before the end of the event as the AI will make each other drop points with power-ups all of the time.

Win a Canada event at 3,000cc (no teams) (B)

Create a 2 lap sector snatch event on Canada with damage disabled, power-ups to simple and the 3000cc speed class selected. Using Red Bull or HRT (for their speed boosts) you can easily dominate enough sectors to win the event. There are only 6 sectors on this short track, so as long as you have dominated 2 you should be safe. If you have dominated the most sectors, but are also level with an opponent at the end of the race, the game will still award you the trophy. Ensure that teams are turned off before starting, otherwise you will not get the trophy.

Take the locked shortcut on Canada (B)

The key for the locked shortcut on Canada is hidden very early on in the lap. At the start of the ice rink section there is a path off to the left - follow this to find the key. The path you will need to take once you've picked up the key is just off to the right as the ice rink section of the track ends. Once you have entered the locked shortcut the trophy will pop - you won't have to finish the race.
