CALL OF DUTY: BLACK OPS II CHALLENGES GUIDE

This guide is designed to help everyone complete the 160 story mode challenges, which are required for the Giant Accomplishment trophy.

Here are a few things that you should take into account when attempting to complete these Challenges:

  • It is recommended that you complete these challenges on RECRUIT difficulty. Any other difficulty is only going to make things harder.
  • Ensure that you have the ACCESS KIT Perk equipped at all times when attempting the challenges. Some challenges are impossible unless you have equipment that can only be obtained by scavenging areas / machines with this Perk.
  • When you see "CAREER RECORD UPDATED" in your HUD, that means you've successfully completed a challenge. Unfortunately, the game does not tell you which challenge you've just completed, so keep that in mind so you know what one you're tackling.
  • CHALLENGES WILL NOT REGISTER UNLESS YOU COMPLETE THE MISSION. Quitting will not save the challenge as completed, and dying WILL reset the challenge's progress back to what it was at the previous checkpoint. The only exception to this is the intel - picking up intel will automatically save it and if you pick up all 3 in a mission, you can quit and it will save your progress for that challenge.
  • Strike Force Mission challenges will remain completed if you complete them within the mission, but only as long as you finish the mission. Failing or succeeding on a Strike Force Mission won't have any impact on the completion of a challenge.
  • DO NOT BEGIN A NEW STORY AS IT WILL WIPE OUT YOUR ENTIRE CAREER PROGRESS, STATS AND CHALLENGES INCLUDED. If you plan on beginning a new story, wait until you have at least completed all 160 challenges and earned the trophy first.

Each chapter of the game has 10 challenges (including the 5 Strike Force Missions). You WILL need to complete all 160 for the Giant Accomplishment trophy. Below, I'll try and detail the best way to attain every challenge in every chapter.

PYRRHIC VICTORY

Eliminate enemy personnel (x15) with machete

Simple enough. In the beginning section of the level, you will be given a machete to kill opponents with. Run around the area using :r3: to melee 15 enemies.

Destroy all MPLA tanks

There are 13 tanks to be destroyed in the first section. On your first bombing run, there are 4 easy ones to take out. Use :l1: to fire rockets and take them out fast, but also use :r1: for the machinegun as backup. On your way around, you will see another 4 tanks (which are fairly easy to take out) and then 5 more tanks on the way back. BEGIN FROM THE LEFT TANK and work your way to the right here, using :l1: to blow up the tanks. If you don't start from the left, you'll fly overhead and miss your chance to hit those tanks.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x5) with one mortar explosion

You will need to have the ACCESS KIT Perk equipped in order to obtain the mortars from the truck near the beginning of the level, at the top of the hill to the right. Once you have these mortars, wait until Mason jumps onto the truck for the final push and equip the mortar with :right:. Lob a mortar into a group of five to complete this challenge. Another area for this is the final push near the beach - when being told to run, a huge number of enemies will swarm you from the top of the hill (way more than 5). Toss one into the fray to achieve completion. - Thanks to Zolanton for the tip.

Sink enemy vessels (x5)

After boarding the boat against your will, and killing some enemies, you'll need to mount some turrets in order to destroy some boats cruising down towards your ship. This one is pretty simple - use the turret on the left (when facing the rear) to take out the first few boats, and then climb the ladder behind you and head to the right when there are boats on the other side.

Dive to prone on an enemy grenade and survive

A really dumb challenge, this. Sometimes it doesn't register; you WILL need to find a grenade and dive onto it without dying to do this challenge. Make sure you've obtained the Flak Jacket from the boat section using the ACCESS KIT Perk as it will make it easier (if not being necessary). Your best chance at this is near the end of the stage, right before the helicopter comes in to conclude the mission. If you have had no grenades thrown at you, you'll probably be killed and will have another shot at it. Some claim that you must land right on the grenade for this to register.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x10) with animal traps

You can only obtain 5 animal traps from the shed using the ACCESS KIT Perk after sneaking through the grass with Woods and Hudson. The trick is to rig the traps with mortars by pressing :square: when near them; this counts as eliminating personnel using the traps. After shooting Menendez, run from the militia and immediately lay a trap behind you while arming it with a mortar. Doing this will blow up 5-6 enemies and if you repeat it while running in the next section, you should have the challenge complete in no time. If you're running low on animal traps, simply find an ammo crate to refill them (they are plentiful whilst you are fleeing from militia). - Thanks to Harry94 for the tip.

Kill (x4) enemies with one mortar primed animal trap

See the above challenge - prime the trap with :square: when near it, right after attacking Menendez. No doubt an enemy will come trailing down and get caught, after which his mates will follow. If you're lucky, you'll score 4 kills this way.

Use elevated improvised positions for confirmed sniper kills (x20)

The only outposts you can use for this challenge are the ones in the trees after shooting Menendez. Equip a sniper as part of your loadout before the mission commences, and after you reach this checkpoint, climb up a ladder into a tree-mounted outpost. Shoot as many enemies as you can before being instructed to move to the next area. You should easily score 20 kills if you are a proficient sniper before you make it to the third set of outposts.

Collect intel (x3)

1. Near the truck where you acquire mortars using the ACCESS KIT Perk, laying on the ground.

2. When you are on the boat, climb the ladder to the right (when facing the rear) and check on the right-hand side after climbing to find it in the corner.

3. While retreating from the militia, you'll pass the outpost towers. During the second set of towers, be sure to climb to the leftmost one (when running from the enemies) and you'll find it lying up there in an outpost.

100% survivability rating

This simply means you must complete the mission with zero deaths. Choose Recruit, play it safely and patiently, and never rush in headlong. If it helps, choose a loadout you are very proficient with. You should not have too much trouble with this level as long as you stay cool and take cover. Remember to move near the end of the mission when Hudson tells you to, otherwise the AI will automatically begin damaging you.

CELERIUM

Eliminate enemy heli before lift off

Right after charging up the hill, you'll see a heli preparing to take off. Salazar will be told to destroy it, but you can do so for a challenge. Equip your Titus-6 weapon (the one that fires explosive rounds in sting bursts) and shoot directly at it. This should be enough to send the chopper roaring up in flames.

Destroy sentry turret (x2) while disabled

Right after advancing through an archway, you'll be told by Harper to take out the nearby sentry turrets using EMPs. Do so by pushing :l2: to lob an EMP grenade their way, and while they're short circuiting, shoot them until they explode. There are three turrets in this area, so you should have no trouble clearing them both after disabling them.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x4) with one round from Titus weapon

Your Titus-6 is your secondary weapon, and is capable of shooting three sting burst explosives that can stick to enemies and blow them right up. Before you approach the sentry turrets (see the above challenge), you'll pass through an archway blocked by enemies. Shoot a round of Titus-6 shots into this fray and with a bit of luck, you'll take out four enemies with the explosion. The Titus-6 shoots three sting bursts, so you'll need to blow up another nearby enemy with them. Take note that the shots fired tend to stick to enemies, so if you find three, chances are your entire clip will stick all enemies. There is also another section further up with several enemies, so that is another potential opportunity, and after heading down some stairs in the underground base, you will find an elevator with four enemies - another easy opportunity to complete the challenge.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x10) with heli turret

Right after the section where the heli prepares to take off, you can run directly past it to find another heli that you can pop open using the ACCESS KIT Perk. Hack the heli and you can commandeer its turret. Do this and kill 10 enemies to complete the challenge - it's very simple, as the hostiles will be in plain sight due to their heat signatures.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x30) while using optical camo

When you head down to the secret underground base, there will be a door that takes some time to open. Past it is a huge staircase. When you reach this area, look on your right for a chest that can be opened with the ACCESS KIT Perk. Inside is optical camouflage gear, and you can equip it with . As soon as you receive it, equip it, and proceed through the mission killing as many enemies as possible. With any luck, you'll easily obtain 30 kills before the mission is up as your optical camo does not run out or take noticeable damage. Remember to always check the status of the camo, as it sometimes automatically switches off after interactive events such as pushing an elevator switch.

Destroy enemy ASDs (x2) by exploding nitrogen tanks

Right after heading down an elevator, you will be ambushed by an enemy ASD. To the left of it you will see some nitrogen tanks neatly set up. Shoot them to break them open and freeze the first ASD. You can also freeze another ASD in the section right after you save the scientist to complete this challenge, as nitrogen tanks are abundant here. The challenge won't update for some players when killing the ASD right after the elevator and one in the server room, so if it doesn't work, try and freeze 2 in the server room. - Thanks to GodofWar0924 for the tip.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x10) with the Assault Shield

You will have two opportunities to melee enemies with the shield weapon using :r3:. The first is right after you save the scientist - your team will tell you to grab a shield (and you can do so by holding :square: to obtain it from the giant cubic structures on either side). Once you have one obtained, run straight at enemies and melee them twice to kill them with the shield. When there are no enemies left, press :r1: to put the shield down. The second opportunity is after the scientist is shot and you run back outside - more enemies will pour in and you have more chances to melee them. You can also take the shield through the rest of the level if you choose. If you choose to melee enemies near the area where you grab the shield, be sure to blow up the nearby nitrogen tanks first, as they may make it difficult for you when you are running in to melee the enemies.

Protect ASD resource from destruction

Right before meeting the scientist (in the room with the two big cubes), you'll find a panel that you can open up right ahead using the ACCESS KIT Perk. Inside is a cute little ASD unit. Re-program him and he will happily run around helping you eviscerate opponents. You can return the favour by killing as many enemies in the area as you can, as fast as you can, because this mission requires you to protect the little guy. It shouldn't be too difficult - just avoid shooting any nitrogen tanks by accident and take out any enemy you see.

Collect intel (x3)

1. The first intel of the mission is directly to the left of the helicopter that you can hack using the ACCESS KIT Perk, right behind the one you are told to destroy after advancing up the hill.

2. Right after you descend into the underground base and get blown back by the ASD, check the little window on the left-hand side. You can acquire the intel through this window without ever entering the room.

3. After taking out the enemies you'll face after saving the scientist and acquiring the ASD resource, go to the other side of the room and check the door where they all entered from. The intel is here.

100% survivability rating

This simply means you must complete the mission with zero deaths. Choose Recruit, play it safely and patiently, and never rush in headlong. If it helps, choose a loadout you are very proficient with. You should not have too much trouble with this level either, as long as you (once again) keep cool and take frequent cover - always stay back and take out enemies from a distance (this is heavily recommended near the end of the mission where a stray shot can set off a nitrogen tank and kill you without you realising).

OLD WOUNDS

Eliminate enemy personnel (x15) with pulwar sword

At the beginning of the mission, you will be asked to jump on a horse and ride it to the meeting point. Check behind the horse for a special sword that can be removed from a skeleton using the ACCESS KIT Perk. Once you have the chance to fight, run up to any enemy and push :r3: to kill them. 15 kills later, another challenge completed. You'll find a lot of enemies in the ruins area where you must assault the BTRs.

Destroy enemy helo with a mortar

You will need the ACCESS KIT Perk to find the mortars in the shed prior to leaving the cave. Equip them when you mount the horse, and ride up the hill. You will ride forward a little and see a helicopter preparing to leave - hold :r1: to prep your mortar and throw it at the helo to blow it up. With some luck you will hit it, but if you fail, dismount the horse with :square: and blow yourself up with the mortars to try again.

Destroy tank with anti-tank mine

You can find these mines at the top of the small hideout where you pick up the Stinger in order to take out the BTRs. You will need the ACCESS KIT Perk to acquire the mines, though. After planting the cratering charge, you'll need to ride over to an area where two tanks will be attacking your base. Use  to equip the mines and use :r1: to plant them near the tank. With any luck, the tank will run right over them and blow up, but if you can't get it to do that, just plant it next to the tank (try being in prone if you can't) and then just shoot the mine with a pistol or any other weapon.

Run down enemy personnel (x10) on horseback

Very simple. All you need to do is jump on your horse and ride around the battlefield looking for hapless soldiers that are willing to get in the way of your all-powerful steed (and that's all of them). Ride around and into 10 soldiers to complete the challenge.

Destroy enemy helo with truck mounted MG

Near your base (the one that the two tanks attack), you'll see a white truck to the side with an unmanned machine gun. When the helos come in for attack (you'll hear the attack being announced on your radio), ride on over with your trusty steed, dismount it with :square:, jump on the turret and knock a helo out of the sky. Very simple.

Destroy enemy helos (x4) at North Pass

After you use the explosive charge to detonate the archway and halt vehicle movement, jump on your horse and head straight ahead for a very short distance, and then turn and travel left. Keep travelling this way and you will eventually see four helicopters landing to deploy more infantry. Equip your Stinger and take them out. You may want to attack the front-most chopper first as it is the quickest to lift off - you can also complete the no lock-on challenge here very easily.

Utilize stinger (without aircraft lock-on) to destroy enemy helo

When you're using the Stinger, you can press :left: to initiate lock-on mode. For this, simply avoid doing that. If you aim it with :l1: instead, the weapon becomes a standard rocket launcher and the missile will travel in a straight line. Take aim at one of the helicopters you find at North Pass to complete this mission - alternatively, you could just find another helicopter flying around the map, but they would be considerably more difficult to hit.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x25) using alternate fire mode on stinger

The alternate fire mode for the Stinger weapon is activated when you don't have the aircraft lock-on mode active. That is to say, press :left: if you have it equipped to de-activate it and have it serve as a regular RPG. 25 is quite a bit, and it might take some time before you achieve the necessary kills - but just keep on killing, and eventually you'll get it. Your best chance to achieve 25 kills with the standard rocket launcher fire is after you secure the ammo cache - infinite amounts of enemies will spawn here and so you can keep on killing them until you complete the challenge. - Thanks to Zolanton for the tip.

Collect intel (x3)

1. As soon as the meeting in the cave finishes, check to your right for this one.

2. The second intel is located near the epicenter of the battlefield. Look for a red flag with an ammo crate near a rock that looks like an upwards spire. It's on the floor near this area.

3. When you reach the ravine on the way to the ammo cache and first see the rickety bridges, head to the right up a small hill to a cave. The intel is on the ground to the right.

100% survivability rating

This simply means you must complete the mission with zero deaths. Choose Recruit, play it safely and patiently, and never rush in headlong. If it helps, choose a loadout you are very proficient with. This level has quite a few intense firefights and areas that can easily kill you if you are not paying attention to your health. Always take out overhead helicopters and tanks so that they don't mow you down when you're in the middle of a fight with enemy infantry, and keep your Stinger on you to take out such threats. Avoid melee attacks on the soldiers in the desert ruins area, and only take out tanks with the Stinger and not the Anti-Tank Mines. Be sure to avoid exploding vehicles (especially when you first ride towards the ruins).

TIME AND FATE

Eliminate PDF enemies (x7) with shotguns in under 10 seconds

This one is pretty difficult - you need to eliminate 7 enemies really fast with the shotgun you're carrying while you're in Rage Raul mode. Don't worry about your health for the time being as you have approximately ten times the health you normally do, but note that you can die. - Thanks to wiseguy20 for the tip! The best location to complete this challenge is when you reach the area with the truck mounted MG. Run around the area with your shotgun equipped and shoot seven enemies as quickly as you possibly can (from the hip to save time). Try to begin your attack when you see a group of enemies you can take out quickly.

Eliminate PDF enemies (x8) with truck mounted MG

The truck mounted MG is in the huge area right before the burning house when you're controlling Menendez - the poor sap on it will take one too many hits and fall off, leaving you to man it. Hold :square: to jump on the MG and fire at the unfortunate souls in your way. Killing eight of these unlucky men with this MG will complete the challenge. - Thanks to Dark_Overlord for the tip.

Rendezvous with Josefina in under 140 seconds

As soon as you gain control of Raul Menendez, you'll want to run and run quickly. Follow the yellow objective markers to move to the next areas as fast as possible - don't dawdle too much killing enemies, and shoot or melee if you have to (although there really is no reason, since you're invincible). If you need to clear enemies to move up, do so, but make it fast. You only have 2 minutes and 20 seconds to reach Josefina, so keep the sprint on and run, run, run. If you ignore everything but the objective, you should complete this easily.

Eliminate Cartel enemy personnel with Molotovs (x12)

You can find the Molotovs after you cross the river as Mason, in a small box you can break with the ACCESS KIT Perk. Press  to equip a Molotov and :r1: to throw it at an enemy to burn them. You only get a few of them initially, but if you travel up the hill on the left and then check the little hut on the right of this hill with soldiers in it, you'll find an ammo crate where you can restock. Kill twelve enemies with fiery bottles to complete the challenge.

Crash an enemy truck

When you reach the top of the hill, you'll hear a teammate yell: "MG Truck incoming!" and you'll see the truck drive right ahead of you from a few meters up. Take aim at the windscreen and unload a clip in order to mess up the driver - if successful, he will spin out and crash. Doing this completes this challenge.

Eliminate Cartel enemy personnel with mortars (x10)

You will find mortars in a garage right after jumping off of a balcony and talking about Noriega - you'll need the ACCESS KIT Perk to acquire them, though. Once you have them, be sure to stock up on ammo using the nearby ammo crate. Now, just equip the mortars with :right: and lob them at enemies. Ten kills should do it - if you find yourself running low on ammo, just head back to the ammo crate.

Eliminate Cartel enemy personnel with machete (x10)

Right after sliding down the ladder into the cocaine bunker, you will find a door that you can open with the ACCESS KIT Perk. Mason will grab the machete stabbed into the box in this room and you'll be equipped with a slicin', dicin' new melee weapon. Press :r3: to slice the enemies up with your new, awesome sword. Ten kills with this method will complete the challenge.

Locate evidence of CIA presence

Right after entering the room where a lot of men are setting fire to the area in order to burn the evidence, run straight ahead to where the fire is and bank right twice. You'll find a CIA dossier on the desk here; hold :square: to acquire it.

Collect intel (x3)

1. As you're passing through the barn and all of the horses are running at you, you'll notice a barrow of hay on the right-hand side just as you reach the exit. The intel is lying on the back of it.

2. When you have to assault the stairs leading into a massive courtyard as Mason (shortly after acquiring the mortars), check the right-hand side for a belltower. If you enter the belltower's floor area, you'll locate a ladder. Climb this and the next ladder after it to see the intel sitting on a box.

3. When you're in the underground area that has lots of men and civilians in the cocaine lab, head to the left side of the room. There is another passageway here with a few crates and the intel is resting atop one of them.

100% survivability rating

This simply means you must complete the mission with zero deaths. Choose Recruit, play it safely and patiently, and never rush in headlong. If it helps, choose a loadout you are very proficient with. You cannot die as Raul Menendez in the opening section of the mission, so just rush through this as fast as you can. As Mason, take it easy and clear all enemies before moving up - especially in big areas like the courtyards and out the front of houses (and inside the cocaine lab). Watch out for stray grenades, as they can kill you without a moment's notice (they have killed me several times on this mission).

FALLEN ANGEL

Avoid damage from large debris in streets

During the first part of the level, you'll have to pass through an area that is flooded and crawling with soldiers. Move through the level and take out as many soldiers as possible, but watch out for any falling debris from overhead (there are a few things, such as signs and energy towers that will fall down and they can damage you, but they won't if you stay back). Be aware of cars that are being swept down the flooded streets, as they also count as large debris.

Direct CLAWs to eliminate enemy personnel (x8) in the flooded street

As soon as the mission begins, you are accompanied by a CLAW robot that can blow up targets with grenades if you lase them with . Doing this in the opening section is useless as the game asks you to kill 8 in the flooded street. You will need the CLAW on the balcony for this, so be sure to have the ACCESS KIT Perk equipped so that you can get the CLAW off the flooded street. Once you're out there, you're reminded that you can lase targets with , so find 8 different targets and lase them for the CLAW. Your command over the CLAW is restored intermittently. Kill 8 enemies by lasing them for the CLAW to complete this challenge.

Record 400 TB of data from Menendez surveillance

As soon as you are atop the roof, you will locate Menendez with the scanning device and begin to record his conversation with several people. Always keep your scanner on Menendez, and if the connection is blocked by walls or pillars, move around them so that he is in plain sight. As you keep your scanner on him, you'll notice the terabytes escalate. You can get about 12 per second if you keep it trained on Menendez. There are four opportunities to record Menendez's conversations, and you can get a maximum recording of around 500 TB if you keep a tab on him at all times, so 400 TB should be no trouble.

Incinerate enemy personnel (x10) with flamethrower attachment

After Menendez catches on to you and attempts to kill you by throwing a grenade near you, you'll escape with Harper and have a chance to control Brutus, the CLAW. You can use its flamethrower functionality with :l1: (MAKE SURE you hack the CLAW at the very beginning of the mission to enable the flamethrower functionality), but be careful as it has a tendency to overheat rather quickly. Kill 10 enemies in this area with it - you will have to be VERY fast and VERY effective in order to kill 10 of them, so before you begin this mission, equip regular grenades as part of your loadout in order to kill yourself should you fail (by cooking the grenade with a held :r2: button).

Protect CLAWs (x2) from destruction

Right after the beginning of the mission when the bus rams into the building, your teammate will mention that the CLAWs are bugging out in the water. Head past this a little and you'll find a control panel you can open up with the ACCESS KIT Perk - once you do so, the CLAWs will automatically be led through here and saved. Later on in the mission, you will need to commandeer the two CLAWs (Brutus and Maximus) another time and take out some enemy vehicles with them. If you successfully take out all of the enemy vehicles in the area without either of your CLAWs falling to pieces, you will complete this challenge. Remember to take out the guys on the right rooftop when you take control of Maximus as well. - Thanks to wiseguy20 for the tip.

Deploy SOC-T boost to find alternate routes (x2)

There are two alternate routes that you can take with your SOC-T, but you must press :cross: to boost in order to take these alternate routes:

1. Stick to the left of the level near the beginning and ride up the highway - you will see two signs laid down to make a ramp. Boost off of this, and it should count as an alternate route.

2. Near the end of the mission you'll see a small ramp leading into an enclosed path in the middle of the road. Avoid this and stick to the right - eventually you'll see a little hill that you can ride up, and past that a window. If you boost off of the hill, you'll make it through the window to find an alternate route.

Destroy enemy vehicles (x20) with drone missiles

When you're on the move in the truck, you will have the option of pushing :circle: to control the overhead drone and get some drone fire going. Any time a vehicle comes into your line of sight, you'll lock-on to it almost immediately. When this happens, press :l1: to send that sucker flying. You'll be attacked by upwards of 30 vehicles on the way to the extraction point, so hammer :l1: whenever you see clusters of vehicles and you should have this before you reach the end of the stage.

Destroy enemy vehicles (x8) with the SOC-T

After you pass through the area where the drone is scouting, you'll kill two enemies and head into the sewers. After heading up some stairs, Harper will say: "You hear that?" and you'll see a door on the left that you can open with the ACCESS KIT Perk. In here, you will learn of enemy SOC-Ts. When Salazar comes around to save you from "half of Pakistan", you'll jump on the SOC-T and Harper will man the MG. While driving through this stage, it says you need to push :square: to use the SOC-T, but in reality, THIS DOES ZIP. You yourself actually need to ram into enemy SOC-T vehicles and take them out, and you need to take out 8. Stick to the right and don't go up the highway - chase the vehicles down on the right-hand road instead. Always press :cross: to boost as much as possible and keep hammering it to use it again as soon as it's available. When you get to the mall area, stick to the right as there are two SOC-T vehicles blocking your path that you can add to your count. There are a few more vehicles after that, and unfortunately there is a slight element of randomness to this (unless you know where the SOC-T vehicles are, roughly). It might take a few tries to get the 8 you need.

Collect intel (x3)

1. Turn right as soon as you gain control of Section to find the first intel of the mission.

2. Right after you bash open the door to dodge the oncoming bus, check the alleyway to your right. It's on the ground here.

3. Immediately after sneaking past the helicopter with the searchlight, you'll be told to follow Harper to the right through a gap. Look straight ahead on the ground instead for this intel.

100% survivability rating

This simply means you must complete the mission with zero deaths. Choose Recruit, play it safely and patiently, and never rush in headlong. If it helps, choose a loadout you are very proficient with. This mission is a TREMENDOUS pain in the rear to clear without any deaths or failures, and there are two problematic areas, listed below:

THE HELICOPTER DRONE SEARCHLIGHT: Hide behind Harper, and immediately head to the right and hide behind the wall when it makes a first pass. After it departs, keep moving and turn right into the abandoned shop - wait here until the drone comes closer to you, as it will turn around and head back. Now is your opportunity to move and follow Harper through to the next section. Keep hammering :l3: to sprint!

THE DRIVING SECTION NEAR THE END OF THE MISSION: This section is ridiculously difficult to pull through if you decide to drive manually. Luckily, there is a solution - as soon as you have the choice to pilot either the SOC-T or the drone, press :circle: to choose the drone. The cars will now drive automatically through the stage (for the most part) and all you have to do is worry about taking out any helicopters or vehicles that are on your comrades' tails. Do this by pressing :l1: to fire missiles and :r1: to fire rockets. This is the easiest way to avoid having to do this part of the stage by yourself, as chances are you WILL smash into something and blow up (even on Recruit).

KARMA

Obtain retina scan in less than 60 seconds

Probably the most infuriating challenge associated with this mission; you will need to be blindingly fast in order to make it to your objective in under a short minute. The reason this is the most frustrating thing ever is because if you fail you're forced to sit through the painful intro once again. Would it have been that difficult to implement a "restart from last checkpoint" option, Treyarch? Jeez. Anyway, you'll want to jump to move Ziggy along much more quickly, but only jump in the areas where you're not climbing along a wall, or you'll fall back down and lose it immediately. Jump the first gap, turn and keep jumping all the way to the power board and fry that with :r1:. Move back out and continue around the pipes - it may take some time to figure out how to get through the broken grates efficiently. Once you do, you'll reach a big red-blue pipe area. Scurry along the pipes here (you can probably cut a corner or two by jumping if you are feeling game) and once you've reached the end, you'll be at a giant drop with another :r1: prompt at the bottom. Run straight ahead down the slope to reach the final lock - tap :r1: to zap and open the lock, and then hammer it once again in order to jump on your target. With any luck, you'll make it in under 60 seconds. It will most definitely require a few tries! You can keep track of your mission time in the bottom left of the screen. Remember not to abuse your jumps as you'll end up getting stuck on the roof. Try to limit them to the opening section, the gap you need to cross, the stretch to the first power board, and any short-cuts across the pipe section. DON'T FORGET TO PRESS. AND. HOLD. THE :l3: BUTTON TO ENSURE ZIGGY MOVES AT THE FASTEST POSSIBLE SPEED.

NOTE: Some players have jumped off near the pipe area at the very end of the section after they reach the checkpoint as Ziggy (with the red and blue pipes). They claim that this will actually reset your timer to 0:00, and give you plenty of time to complete the challenge when you respawn. This may not work for all players.

Here is a video by Harry94 that details how to complete the challenge:

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgvTLHll6AE]Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Karma - Obtain retina scan in less than 60 seconds Challenge (Ziggy) - YouTube[/ame]

Retrieve precious cargo (Ziggy)

Clear the room full of enemies after using the retina scan to gain access. Once you're done, head in with Salazar to the mission objective area, but don't proceed forward all the way. It's a small little blue room in the center of the back of the area, and if you look on the ground to the right, you'll see poor little Ziggy all smashed up. Press and hold :square: to re-acquire the valiant spider drone.

Kill enemy personnel with headshots (x5) in Club Solar

After DeFalco seizes Karma, you'll enter an awesome slow-motion-cross-dubstep scene where you must shoot enemies while moving around the club. There are four opportunities to shoot the enemies, but always take aim for their heads. You will want to try and aim for at least two kills before you move around to the next section. This area is full of checkpoints, so try and get this done right away if you can. It's not too hard - just aim for their heads and take the shot.

Ensure zero non-combatant casualties

This is fairly self-explanatory. All you need to do is ensure that no civilians die (I am pretty sure it means in the final section) - most of them don't even really get in the way in this area, but play it safe and don't shoot anything that isn't an enemy soldier (fairly easy). You should get this without too much trouble or without even realising it - I don't think you can actually fail to complete this challenge unless you accidentally shoot a civilian. It doesn't seem to matter if the enemies do.

Eliminate rappelling enemies (x5)

After you open the giant door in the mall with Salazar and all of the civilians run out, you'll head down a flight of stairs. In this outdoor area, a helicopter will be dropping off infantry. Take this opportunity to shoot all five enemies while they are rappelling down. There are a few enemies that rappel down in the mall as well, so keep an eye out for those if you want to start the kill count early.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x25) in the outdoor area

When you get to the outdoor area, you'll see civilians running around like headless chickens and enemies chasing them whilst shooting at you. You'll want to kill 25 of the enemies in this area (easier said than done because you actively have to find some of them to kill). Keep an eye on overhead helicopters dropping more enemies in as well. It might be worth nothing that rushing through this area will cause your teammates to eliminate the enemies for you, thus leaving you with less enemies to kill. Proceed through the level slowly as you'll get closer to 25 this way.

Incapacitate enemy personnel using combatant suppression knuckles (x20)

Right after you speak to a guard and Harper tries to calm him down, you'll see a closet that can be opened if you have the ACCESS KIT Perk equipped. Inside the closet are stun knuckles, which you can use with :r3:. Simply run around punching as many enemies as you can with them - when you successfully incapacitate 20 enemies, you'll complete the challenge.

Protect ASD resource from destruction

After fighting through the mall, you'll find a door that you can open if you have the ACCESS KIT Perk equipped. Inside is yet another cute little ASD unit. Farid will re-program it to assist you in the fight - all you have to do is just keep an eye on it and ensure it is not destroyed by the enemy. This is fairly easy as the enemies don't really have a tendency to attack it that much - oh, and it usually mows them down before they get the chance anyway. There aren't that many enemies in this area to begin with, so this challenge should come without any trouble.

Collect intel (x3)

1. The first intel of the mission is right after you access the room through the retina scanner. Clear the room, and then check the back corner on the right. The intel is on a desk here.

2. When you're about to head down some stairs in the mall, check the bottom floor for a shop called d'HO. It's on the lower floor but it's facing away from the direction in which you entered. The intel is very sneakily hidden behind the sales counter.

3. After entering the giant outdoor area, stick to the right-hand side and you'll eventually come up to a little kiosk with a computer right before you ascend the stairs. The intel is on this desk.

100% survivablility rating

This simply means you must complete the mission with zero deaths. Choose Recruit, play it safely and patiently, and never rush in headlong. If it helps, choose a loadout you are very proficient with. This mission is fairly straightforward and there aren't too many problematic areas - the mall and outdoor sections are best played on Recruit, as mentioned. Don't be tempted to rush in with the stun knuckles; just play it cool. Bring along some EMP Grenades to pacify the ASD units near the end of the chapter.

SUFFER WITH ME

Perform a knife throw at enemy guard post

This one is pretty much unmissable. You'll climb a ladder and Mason will take out an enemy on the other side of the bridge - the game will prompt you to press :r1: to throw a knife at the other enemy, which will complete the challenge.

Survive an enemy RPG blast which causes enemy collateral damage

Basically, this challenge means that you need to be hit (or damaged, no matter how slightly) by an RPG or RPG blast and survive the hit, while a nearby enemy is killed by the same explosion. It has been decided that the best place to attempt this challenge is the area with Noriega's private jet (the section after descending through the skylight and passing through those subsequent rooms) - there is an RPG enemy on the opposite rooftop, and he will fire at you every couple of seconds. Find an enemy near you and wait for the enemy with an RPG to fire (but don't let the nearby enemy melee you to death), and with a bit of luck he should decimate the enemy while you run and hide for cover after taking the hit. This should complete the challenge - it might also be worth taking the Flak Jacket out of the room after descending through the skylight (you'll need the ACCESS KIT Perk), but RPGs will not kill you on Recruit (just damage you heavily).

Destroy Noriega’s private jet

This is the big jet that's "ready to take off" right after you pass through the skylight and clear all of the enemies on the way down. Mason will tell you to hit it with an RPG and the enemies with RPGs are on the opposing rooftops, but by the time you reach one of those enemies (and even if you do) the jet will have probably already been destroyed by something or someone else. This is why you should bring your own along! Equip a rocket launcher of any type as part of your loadout before beginning the level and shoot the big white jet. Challenge completed.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x10) with truck mounted MG

Right next to the private jet is a truck with a machine gun. Kill the poor sap manning it and then IMMEDIATELY get on it and start shooting enemies. There are only around 12 or 13 you can actually kill so you need to be quick, as your best buddy Mason will start shooting enemies as well, leaving you with less enemies to take out for the challenge. Try and mow down 10 if you can to complete the challenge - if you fail, blow yourself up with a grenade. There is also another truck mounted MG near one of the alleyways where you pick up the IR Strobes, so if you don't get it on the first one, you can continue your kill count with this one. - Thanks to Dark_Overlord for the tip.

Destroy enemy ZPU (x1)

The ZPU is an anti-aircraft gun. It's a bit difficult to spot, too - after Mason hands Noriega an empty pistol, you'll be able to travel through many different paths through the slums. If you stay in the centre and travel through the middle of the area, eventually you will come across a giant dome-shaped structure in the middle of a courtyard, surrounded by benches and trees. In this area, there will be many RPGs firing at you. Look past the giant structure and you'll see two enemies on the rightmost building - one with an RPG (the building has a blue car out front of it). On the right of the enemies, if you look closely, is the ZPU. Shoot it with an RPG or SMAW to destroy it and complete the challenge. If you're still having trouble finding the building, run around to the other side and look for a sign that says: "GRAN Fras Herramientas". This is the building you're after, now run back to the other side and scan the rooftop for the ZPU. You can also take out the ZPU with IR Strobes and grenades if you like. - Thanks to Dark_Overlord for the tip.

Distract enemy personnel (x8) with Nightingale grenades at the same time

You'll acquire these distracting grenades shortly after passing through the first firefight area in a crate on the ground (you need the ACCESS KIT Perk to open it up). The challenge indicates that you need to distract 8 enemies at once with any number of these grenades, so once you get to the section with a whole lot of enemies, the jet, and the truck mounted MG, start throwing a few around the area. This is where I completed the challenge - there may be better areas, but you need to distract 8 enemies with any number of Nightingales.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x15) with IR strobe

Stick to the left side after Mason gives Noriega the pistol, and eventually you'll see a gate accessible only if you have the ACCESS KIT Perk equipped. Woods will take the IR strobe, a small signaling device that calls an airship to blast whatever has been marked to pieces. Throw this whenever you see a large cluster of enemies (particularly in the church area) to mow them down, and once you eviscerate 15, you'll complete the challenge. The only difficult part of this challenge is that the IR strobes are not repacked into your inventory when stocking up at an ammo crate - so you will want to find four areas with large groups of enemies (such as the center area with the dome-like structure) and toss out strobes in those areas. It should also be noted that if you use all 4 of your strobes in the first area, you will get another 4 after the cutscene. - Thanks to nemec8 for the tip.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x8) in the clinic

This challenge commences right after you attempt to help the injured woman in the clinic but are interrupted by an enemy. As part of your loadout, take two weapons that fire quickly, have a large clip, and are loadable instantly (Fast Mag). As soon as the enemy finishes interrupting you, spray the left-hand side of the corridor where the enemies will begin to approach (to your left when you get back up). With any luck, you will shoot and kill eight enemies before you exit up top.

Collect intel (x3)

1. After dropping through the skylight and then again into a tiny hallway on the right, you'll pass through a small comms room and then see some stairs. Don't head down them yet - first check the shelves nearby for this intel.

2. After the fight near the dome-like structure in the middle of the slums, stick to your left. Run up into the alleyways on your left and eventually you'll enter a building with a flaming dumpster near the corner. Inside here are some ammo crates and the intel on a desk.

3. After hitting a cutscene when entering the next building, you'll want to look around in the next room for a metal table that the intel is lying on. Difficult to miss unless you rush.

100% survivability rating

This simply means you must complete the mission with zero deaths. Choose Recruit, play it safely and patiently, and never rush in headlong. If it helps, choose a loadout you are very proficient with. The very last section of this mission will make you want to hurt yourself due to the fact that it is placed at the very end, happens really quickly, and is very easy to fail. As for the rest of the mission, bring along two quick machine guns, and always focus on the RPG enemies as they can be very troublesome. That Flak Jacket you can find after the skylight section (you need the ACCESS KIT Perk) will help a great deal. Here are some tips for that other cursed section:

THE GUNSHIP RUN: Oh yeah. This gunship chases you through a hallway and you're tasked with sprinting away and jumping off of the balcony at the end in order to survive its strafing run. The only problem is, with Mason and Noriega running next to you, it's difficult to judge the distance of the jump you need to make (it's a sizable one) and - are you ready for the kicker? - failing this jump means you have to sit through the ENTIRE MISSION AGAIN. So if you want to get it right the first time, follow this one tip: DON'T SPRINT UNTIL YOU REACH THE END. Don't even touch :l3: when you begin; just walk on over to the jump, and when you feel as though you're close, break into a run and jump at the very last section to clear the gap. The gunship shouldn't kill you (even on Veteran, it doesn't), but it makes jumping the gap a daunting task due to the blood and blurriness that comes as a result of being shot.

ADDITIONAL TIP: I found that if you die from the gunship or if you fail the jump and die, quickly pause the game and/or quit to the XMB. Since the game was saved when you enter the clinic, when you select Resume Mission in the Campaign menu you won't have to do the whole mission again and you still have 100% survivability rate since technically you haven't died, and I'm guessing this works with similar missions. I hope that takes frustration off of people. - Thanks to Cronosecks for the tip.

ACHILLES' VEIL

Destroy enemy quad drones (x20)

There are a lot of quad drones in this mission (in case you don't know what they are, they're the little flying drones with four rotors that shoot at you, glowing red), especially near the beginning in the courtyard. You can get about 10-12 kills in the opening area alone, and as you progress through the mission, about 20 more. If you focus on taking out all drones as you go, you should have this challenge ticked off when you reach the part right before you meet with Menendez as Farid.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x20) with sword

Stick to the left-hand side as soon as Menendez leaves at the beginning of the mission, and head straight until you find a cupboard that you can open with the ACCESS KIT Perk. Inside it is a sword that you can use with :r3: to slay enemies. Simply run around killing 20 enemies to complete this challenge. Best done in tandem with the optical camo challenge.

Melee enemy personnel (x20) while using optical camo

Head right at the beginning of the mission and you'll see some stairs leading into a tower - if you have the ACCESS KIT Perk equipped, you'll find a chest with some optical camo inside. Press  to equip the camo and begin meleeing enemies with :r3:. 20 kills will mark this challenge off your list. Best done in tandem with the sword challenge.

Destroy enemy quad drones (x8) with turret

When you get into the open area with the ASD units driving around, stick to your right and eventually you'll come up to a gate you can open with the ACCESS KIT Perk. Take this route all the way up to the balcony and man the turret. There are a lot of drones flying around in this area, and a few more will spawn while you are on the turret. It should be easy to score 8 kills with the turret if you head there right away upon entering the area.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x5) by exploding vehicles

Your best bet to complete this challenge is to use the turret needed for the 8 Quadrotor Kills challenge (see above challenge). There are many cars in this area and if you spray a little (but within reason, aiming for the cars), chances are you'll end up taking out a few enemies. With a bit of luck, you'll decimate five and complete the challenge. Most of the cars are on the right side, so take note of that. If you are having trouble, seek this alternate method - while doing the 5 kills with the VTOL gunner section (or the VTOL gunner section in general), if you look down to the road, there are 2 cars with about 6-7 enemies standing nearby, hence being one of the easiest spots in the level to get this challenge. - Thanks to fpsd0minat0r for the tip.

Destroy enemy ASD (x4) while disabled

You'll head into a pretty big street area with a few Quadrotors and ASDs. You'll need to equip EMP Grenades as part of your loadout in order to stun the ASD units (the small tank-like drone things). Toss an EMP out with :l2: to stun them (be careful you aren't stunned if you throw it at point-blank) and then destroy the drone while it's stunned. There are approximately 5-6 ASD units in this area, so make sure to disable and destroy at least 4. If you run out of EMP Grenades, run back a little to find an ammo crate (you'll pass it on the way to the area).

Eliminate enemy personnel (x5) as VTOL gunner

When you are given the choice to shoot either Menendez or Harper, attempt to shoot Menendez. After you fail, you'll take control of the VTOL as Section. Using the minigun, mow down five enemies. The game is pretty generous with this one, and five isn't that many, so you'll get this one pretty quickly.

Direct quad drones to eliminate enemy personnel (x25)

When Mason takes over, you'll have the chance to command your Quadrotor drones. Press  to lase targets for them - pretty much whenever you see a group of enemies, lase them and your drones will do the rest. If you do this at every opportunity, you will get the 25 kills before you jump down to cross the bridge. Even if you lase the rough area around the enemies, your drones will still seek and eliminate them so long as they are close to the area you designated.

Collect intel (x3)

1. The first intel of the mission is in the same room as the optical camo crate, near the beginning of the mission. Stick to the right side of the courtyard and head up the stairs into the tower to find it on the floor.

2. As you pass through the alleyway while in command of some Quadrotors, you'll see two turrets firing at you from first-floor windows. If you stick to the left-hand side, you'll see some stairs leading up to the top floor. Right before you proceed up these stairs, look to your left to find the intel behind some boxes.

3. As you're running out in the wilderness, you'll see a small stone house on your right down a ramp. Head into the house and up the stairs, then check around the side for a ladder. Climb this ladder and you'll find the intel laying beside a tanker on the rooftop.

100% survivability rating

This simply means you must complete the mission with zero deaths. Choose Recruit, play it safely and patiently, and never rush in headlong. If it helps, choose a loadout you are very proficient with. This level isn't too bad to ace, although stray RPG shots and turrets can mow you down quickly if you're not paying attention. I'd suggest equipping a light machine gun such as the Mk 48 with lots of ammo and a secondary weapon you enjoy using to tackle this level. Use all extra assistance to your advantage (optical camo, drones, etc).

ODYSSEUS

Locate gift in Mason’s state room

As soon as you open the first door after Menendez has escaped, you'll be confronted by a few enemies and a turret. If you look to the right, there is a door that can be opened if you hold :square: (you'll see a prompt). Inside Mason's room are several personal belongings, including a letter on the desk. Hold :square: near this letter to acquire it and complete this challenge.

Incapacitate enemy personnel (x20) using Combatant Suppression Knuckles

Right after Menendez escapes, you'll step out into a small room with Salazar and to your left will be a box you can open with the ACCESS KIT Perk. Inside are the CSKs. As usual, press :r3: to melee and incapacitate any unfortunate enemies that may be in your way. 20 kills will tick this challenge off of your list.

Provide sniper overwatch for SEAL team advance across flight deck

After Mason tries to deactivate the security system (and fails), you'll pass down some stairs and go through an area outside the ship where multiple enemies are sniping away trying to protect their comrades. It's up to you whether you want to bring a sniper rifle as part of your loadout or find one during the mission, but in this area, you need to help your fellow men cover the team in the distance with sniper fire. You will complete this challenge when all enemies attacking your SEAL squad are eliminated.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x10) with security turret

After you pass through a door, you'll see a friendly soldier get shot by an out-of-view security turret. If you head past this turret and to the right, you'll see a panel you can open up with the ACCESS KIT Perk. Open it up and hack the controls to command the security turret. Simply mow down 10 enemies with :r1: to complete this challenge - remember you have a full 360 degree view with this turret to hunt and kill enemies. There is also another security turret later on (in a big room on the second floor balcony) that you can access via a panel if you have the ACCESS KIT Perk. This may also contribute to your total if you didn't kill 10 enemies with the first turret.

Destroy security turret (x3) while disabled

Bring along some EMP Grenades to tackle this one. You'll need to pacify the turrets before destroying them with your weapon. The first can be found as soon as you commence the mission, in the hallway. The second can be seen eliminating a friendly soldier as you pass through another door. The third one is up to you really, as there are three or four more turrets along the course of the mission. As long as you disable and destroy any three, you'll complete the challenge. Remember to always restock your EMP Grenades at an ammo crate if possible.

Eliminate airborne enemies (x8) before they land

After you exterminate Salazar for being a scumbag traitor, you'll head up to the flight deck. Two enemies will parachute their way here - these are the enemies you're targeting, and you can kill these two to get a bit of a head start on your kills. When the elevator ascends to the flight deck, look to your right and you'll see these enemies infinitely spawning in four spots. Choose either a machine gun or a sniper rifle and attempt to take out eight of these para-soldiers. They're a bit difficult to hit, and it's difficult to tell when you do actually kill them, so just keep an eye out for the "Career Record Updated" notification. There is also an alternate method to this: right after you and Salazar split up, you'll go up some stairs. Look over the balcony and there will be sets of enemies that spawn infinitely. No one is shooting at you and you can take your time. - Thanks to 8BitArtist for the tip.

Direct CLAW to eliminate enemy personnel (x5)

Upon reaching the flight deck, head to the left immediately to find the CLAW. If you run past it, you'll find a control room blocked by debris - you can reach the control panel with the ACCESS KIT Perk. When you've assumed command of the CLAW, lase the targets you want the CLAW to kill with  and the CLAW will take them out for you (hopefully - its grenades have barely any range). Best to do this as soon as possible as the CLAW proceeds through the level and will eventually prevent enemies from spawning - it's only five enemies, but you'll need to work fast.

Get to extraction in under 90 seconds

As soon as you reach the flight deck, run! Run to the right and past all the enemies that you see attacking the ship (kill any that get in your way). You have a minute and a half to reach your VTOL extraction, but this is fairly easy and that's plenty of time. As long as you keep the sprint on, and actively avoid contact with enemies, you'll complete this one easily.

Collect intel (x3)

1. The first intel of the mission is located to the right of the room with the security turret that you can control, sitting on a desk. Check for it shortly after passing the accessible panel that lets you control the turret.

2. Right after having the choice to wound or kill Admiral Briggs, you'll proceed down some stairs and then through a fairly wide corridor. If you keep an eye out on the right-hand side, you'll see some stairs leading up to a small control room. The intel is on a desk here.

3. The final intel in this mission is located on the flight deck, among the explosions and the shooting. Head towards the extraction point, but stick to the right-hand side of the ship. On this side, you'll find an open VTOL ship with the intel sitting on it in plain sight (it's after the first destroyed VTOL).

100% survivability rating

This simply means you must complete the mission with zero deaths. Choose Recruit, play it safely and patiently, and never rush in headlong. If it helps, choose a loadout you are very proficient with. This level is a breeze compared to the last few, but the final section with the Michael Bay explosions can get pretty chaotic. Attempt to fly through it as fast as you can, but be cautious of random grenades and RPG explosions, and always take out enemies that stand between you and your extraction. Bring flashbang or concussion grenades along if you want to stun the enemies and make getting to the end easier.

CORDIS DIE

100% impact ratio with SAM engagement on highway

A little bit of a toughie, this one. The SAM engagement is at the beginning of the mission (so it's not all bad), and it allows you to take out multiple drones at once after lock-on. The challenge tasks you with a 100% hit ratio whilst using the engagement - that means you can't miss a single shot and each of your missiles must take out an enemy drone. The best tips I can provide for this are these: tip number one is to make sure that you have all six locked on before firing, as it allows for groups of drones to be dispatched at once, and tip number two is to NEVER ever fire the missiles while the drones are flying overhead and shooting, as you risk missing one of your targets this way. Always ensure that you can see all drones flying around - this is your opportunity to lock-on to the drones and eliminate them in bulk. In addition to that, you will see the "Career Record Updated" AFTER you regain control of Section, so if you think you've failed, wait until you can start moving again and if you don't see it, then restart.

Perform headshot (x10) sniper kills from the upper freeway

After the SAM engagement section, you'll be given the choice to snipe or rappel. Choose snipe, and use your Storm PSR (comes with default loadout) to scan and shoot enemies. Aim for the head, because you'll need 10 headshots to complete the challenge. Don't shoot the enemies on the trucks, as it will complete this section of the mission faster and leave you with less enemies to shoot. Remember that you can hold :r1: to penetrate walls and get headshots this way as well.

Direct quad drones to eliminate enemy personnel (x8)

After you are rammed by a truck and pass out, you'll emerge among wrecked cars. If you pass the CLAW that just eviscerated the police officer and check in the cargo crate to the left, you'll find some Quadrotors you can control if you have the ACCESS KIT Perk. (Well, you can really only control one.) Take it and use  to lase targets for it - there are more than enough enemies in the section where you obtain it for you to complete this challenge.

Rescue trapped SSA in damaged vehicle

After you destroy the second enemy CLAW, you'll run toward the entrance of a shopping complex. On the right you'll find a hatch you can open up with your ACCESS KIT Perk. Inside are some trapped soldiers - free them and they'll aid you against the enemies up ahead. You need to be fast though, otherwise some enemies with RPGs will spawn and destroy the vehicle. If this happens, you won't be able to rescue the trapped soldiers!

Destroy enemy drone (x30) using SAM on roof

Right after entering the mall and proceeding up the escalator (near where you saved the SSA soldiers), look to the left and you'll see a panel you can hack using your ACCESS KIT Perk. Open this door and head upstairs to the SAM engagement turret (mysteriously placed on a shopping center roof in case management ever needs it). This works in a similar way to the SAM turret at the start of the stage. You must lock on to enemy drones by aiming at them and then pressing :r1: to fire (the turret can lock-on to about six at one time, and if the missiles are locked on there is a 99% chance they'll make contact with the drones). Keep scanning around the sky to find the drones when they appear and kill as many as you can before they blast you out of the turret. You'll get the notification a short time after you are sent flying back - remember that you're after 30 kills with the turret.

Protect G20 cougar at the intersection

Right after passing through the shopping center and fighting off enemy infantry, you'll see a mission objective asking you to protect the G20 leader. Up ahead will be a truck (that's it), and behind it on the roof, two enemies with RPGs will spawn with the intenion of destroying it. Quickly grab your Storm PSR or any other long-range weapon and take them both out as fast as possible to protect the G20 and complete the challenge.

Destroy drones (x3) with one shot

Right after protecting the G20 vehicles, you'll fly through the air after a bunch of enemy drones (and be told that you can use your afterburners with :l3:). Pressing :l2: will allow you to use your Skyburst Missiles, which can (apparently) lock-on to multiple enemy targets. Lock-on to a few (or even one, the Skyburst seemed to only allow for one lock-on) and press :l2: to take them out. With any luck, you'll take out three at a time with one Skyburst, but you can never really tell. If you see "Career Record Updated" whilst flying, you've done it.

Many players have noted that the Skyburst missiles will only be available if you protect Anderson in the ambulance on the highway while in the jet. Take due care to destroy the helicopters and vehicles with :l1: (or :r1: for machine guns if you're feeling game). If Anderson makes it out alive - to the point where you can activate your afterburners with :l3: - then she will enable the Skyburst missiles for you and you can use them to complete this challenge.

Protect all G20 vehicles

After Anderson takes a hit and is put into the ambulance, you'll have the opportunity to fly the jet. Stick with the convoy (further up from where the ambulance sort of begins) and keep an eye out for any and all threats. Spamming missiles with :l1: is a good idea as you can lock on to enemy helicopters and trucks. You'll need to pass through a few streets until the challenge completes, but stick with it and take out all enemies threatening your convoy.

Collect intel (x3)

1. The very first intel of the mission can be found after rappeling down onto the highway. Stick to the left side and look for a firetruck, and then a bus. The intel is on the street behind the SUV after the bus.

2. After you're rammed by another truck, you'll be back on the street. Stick to the left and past the first hot dog vendor will be an entrance to a hotel-style building on the left-hand side. On the main desk in the middle is the next intel.

3. Right after saving the SSA soldiers inside the flaming truck, you'll see a huge shopping complex with an entrance on the left near a sign that says "Dale's Fine Jewelry". Enter through here and go up the escalator - on the right-hand side is a T-shirt kiosk with the intel on the ground nearby.

100% survivability rating

This simply means you must complete the mission with zero deaths. Choose Recruit, play it safely and patiently, and never rush in headlong. If it helps, choose a loadout you are very proficient with. The first section with the SAM turret can prove a little bit troublesome, but if you spam missiles you'll be okay with it. From here, it's all about being patient. There are quite a few enemies in this mission and a LOT of areas where protection is required (and you're the one supplying it). Keep the Storm PSR from the default loadout as it will help greatly. Take out the CLAWs with RPGs so that they do not pose too much of a threat, and always keep an eye on enemies during the protection sections (convoy overwatch via jet).

JUDGMENT DAY

Avoid ALL anti-air missiles

This one can be a bit of a pain, but it happens at the very beginning of the mission so if you fail, you can just restart. Basically, all you want to do is avoid the explosions made by the missiles - if you see a cloud of fire, get out of the way. You don't have a lot of control over Section in the sky, but most of the missiles will hit the left or the right of the screen, so keep that in mind. You won't be able to alternate fast enough, so you need to find a good spot in the sky to be in. Your best bet is to stick to the bottom-right corner; this is what I did, and I seemed to avoid all missiles this way, up until I descended through the cloud, at which point I quickly moved left to dodge the final missile before hitting the ground. Your notification of completion will appear shortly after you regain control of Section.

Destroy ALL laser turrets

The laser turrets are on top of the buildings in the area you start in; they can all be seen if you head right from where you start the mission after landing. There are six - two on the rightmost building (high up), two on the leftmost building (also quite high up), and two near the center (if you look right from where you land, they're atop a higher level on the left and right). They look like little searchlights, and each one requires around two fully charged Storm PSR shots to destroy.

Destroy enemy quad drones (x3) while disabled

You need to toss out an EMP Grenade to disable the flying Quadrotor drones. When they are disabled, they will crash to the ground and become incapacitated for a short time. That is when you should take the opportunity to shoot and destroy them. There are several in the first area that you can take out, but if you need more, there are some in the giant server room as well. You only need to take out three to complete this challenge.

Perform sniper kills (x10) from more than 40m distance

At the beginning of the mission you'll be dropped into quite an open area with enemies attacking from the distance. If you equipped the Storm PSR or any other sniper, you're in luck! Take position anywhere down here before you run up the ramp, and take out 10 enemies with your sniper rifle (if you're down the bottom it will be way more than 40m). I do recommend the Storm PSR, as it can penetrate walls.

Melee camouflaged enemy personnel (x3)

To the right of the first building (number 26) you'll engage in combat with some enemies that have optical camouflage active. You'll want to melee these enemies with :r3: to kill them - they're not too hard to see and there are more than three in this area, so this challenge is quite straightforward.

Direct quad drones to eliminate enemy CLAW

At the beginning of the mission, after you land, run straight ahead to the other side of the open area to find a crate that you can pry open if you have the ACCESS KIT Perk equipped. Inside are a few Quadrotors, and nearby is an enemy CLAW (near the ramp). Use  to lase the CLAW and the Quadrotors will fire rockets at it, destroying it (you may need to do this a few times). Make sure you are quick about it though, or your friendly CLAWs will take it out before your drones can. Busting up the enemy CLAW with your drones will complete this challenge.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x5) with one strike of the kinetic projectile weapon

You will find the KPW right behind building 26 (the building you'll see if you run straight up the ramp at the beginning of the mission), but you'll need the ACCESS KIT Perk to acquire it. With it, you will need to kill 5 enemies at the same time. You can target the construction yard to your immediate right as there are around 5 enemies in here, or you can aim for the area behind it as there are just as many enemies there. Simply lase an area you deem fit for destruction and wait for the thunder. With a little luck, you'll take out 5 baddies and complete this challenge. Stand back, though - the resulting explosion from the KPW is quite massive.

Protect ASD resource to the objective location

Right before you reach the massive conference room, you can head right and find a terminal you can operate with the ACCESS KIT Perk. Doing so will reprogram the ASD unit in the bottom floor - now, get down there and assist it! Your objective is to protect it all the way to the conference room (the giant room with the huge screens). Once the ASD enters this room, you'll complete the challenge.

Collect intel (x3)

1. When you travel up the very first ramp of the mission, you'll see building 26. If you turn right and stick to the right from now on, you'll find building 27. The first intel of the mission is located up some stairs on the top floor, sitting on a desk.

2. In the big blue conference room, head up the stairs to the right and check the third row of desks all the way on the other side. You'll find the intel lying on a computer desk.

3. Shortly after Menendez broadcasts his message and takes out Checkpoint 4, you'll be in a huge, round server room which is fairly dark and has machines containing a blue fluid. You can jump down to the lower level of this room and here, you'll find the last intel on a crate.

100% survivability rating

This simply means you must complete the mission with zero deaths. Choose Recruit, play it safely and patiently, and never rush in headlong. If it helps, choose a loadout you are very proficient with. This level is VERY brief and the hardest part is probably the beginning section - even then, it's not too difficult. Just take your time and advance at your own pace, and make sure you're not caught off guard by cloaked enemies. Take a machine gun and a sniper rifle, as it's probably the best combination - bringing EMPs for disabling the ASD units is also a good idea.

STRIKE FORCE: SHIPWRECK

Destroy CLAWS (x2) using only soldiers

You will need to destroy the big bear-robot-type things (CLAWs) with soldiers and not other weaponry. You can do this by pressing :select: to enter Tactical View and command your soldiers to attack the claws, or take control of a soldier yourself and do it (I recommend the heavy soldiers with larger guns and arm-mounted grenade launchers). You'll find the first CLAW hanging around Objective Point C near the docks, and the second CLAW won't actually turn up on your radar but will usually appear around the same area.

Use only 3 network intruders to complete the mission

To complete the mission you need to set network intruders with :square: near all three Objective Points; A, B and C. After setting one, you will need to defend it in order to ensure that it successfully hacks the target. It will take some time for the intruder to hack the target, so you must defend each one if you are to complete the mission with three only. I recommend clearing the area of all threats before putting down an intruder, and then having all components of your force group up around it in order to defend it as the enemies will attack it. Tackle one Objective Point at a time and ensure that the intruder is well-defended - B is arguably the most difficult to protect. Avoid Tactical View for this.

Complete mission with more than 2:00 min remaining

Self-explanatory. You'll want to blitzkrieg all three Objective Points as fast as possible, so immediately dispose of Point A near your starting location and then head straight to B. Only concern yourself with the Objective Points and the surrounding enemies. You will have 8 minutes to complete the mission, which is ample time. Avoid Tactical View for this.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x10) with headshots

Choose an infantry unit and run around the map using your radar to locate opposing soldiers (red arrows). Aim for their heads and shoot. Ten kills will complete the challenge.

Melee enemy personnel (x15)

You're equipped with an awesome set of shock-knuckles for this challenge, so that makes it a lot easier. Hit :r3: near an enemy to shock the pants off of him. Repeat 14 more times by running around the map looking for enemy infantry (red arrows) to tick off this one.

Destroy enemy ASD (x3) as a CLAW

An ASD is a small, mobile tank drone with two machine guns and a missile launcher. They usually have a red core at the front to lock-on to you with a laser sight. For this, you must wait for your friendly CLAW to be dropped (should take a minute or two) and then command it with . Once you have control of it, walk around the map using :r1: to fire the turret. Take out 3 ASD units to complete the challenge. Avoid Tactical View for this.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x15) with explosives

Most of the infantry units you will assume control of come equipped with either rocket launchers as secondary weapons, or arm-mounted grenade launchers. Run around the map as one looking for enemy infantry (red arrows) and take their lives with either of those two options. 15 kills with any explosive variant will tick this challenge off for good. You may need to change to other infantry if you are running low on explosives. Another method that completes this challenge very easily and quickly is to use the ASD's unlimited rockets to kill enemies with the :l1: button. - Thanks to fpsd0minat0r for the tip.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x15) while they are stunned

Some of the infantry units you will assume control of come equipped with EMP/Concussion grenades (long, thin grenades). Tossing these will stun enemy infantry, forcing them to hold their arm up or spin around in a blind daze. Shoot and kill 15 soldiers while they are in this state to complete this one. You may need to change to other infantry if you are running low on stun grenade variants.

Run over enemy personnel (x20) with ASD

Take control of an ASD unit (will drop after some time) and drive around the map looking for enemy infantry (red arrows). Simply run into them to crush them under the awesome might of your ASD (some soldiers may need to be crushed twice or thrice). 20 is quite the number of soldiers, so if your ASD is destroyed, you may need to wait to equip another.

Complete the mission in "tactical view" only

When the mission begins and you have control of a unit, hit :select: immediately to enter Tactical View. This will give you an entire view of the battlefield, your units, opposing units, and capture points. You can select units with  /  / :left: / :right: and command them with :l2:. For this mission, the best approach is to have your units capture the Objective Points in order. Have them all group around A to capture it, then take out all threats surrounding Point B. Once this is done, take C. In Tactical View, infantry units seem to be capable of taking out CLAW units fairly quickly, so take note of this.

STRIKE FORCE: I.E.D

Eliminate enemy personnel (x3) while they are planting IED

This one is quite difficult. You'll need to eliminate three ground troops while they are laying new IEDs. I recommend playing through the level a few times to watch the path the convoy takes. Once you know the path, command the Quadrotor and head straight to the pre-placed IEDs (disregard the convoy, as even if you fail you will complete the challenge). Destroy them all (there should be 3 sets), and wait here while monitoring the ground closely. As the convoy approaches, you will begin to see infantry units emerge in order to lay more IEDs down. While they do this, take them out with :r1:. You should be able to find and kill three enemies laying IEDs here, but if you cannot, there will be one more enemy that lays down an IED near the end of the stage around the bridges, but only if you take out the IEDs already there first.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x10) on horseback

You simply need to eliminate ten enemies that are riding on top of horses by any means. Usually they come out in groups, so just run them down or shoot them. There are a lot of enemies during the mission, so 10 should pose no trouble. - Thanks to radiohead06 for the tip.

Convoy never stopped by presence of an IED

Your convoy must move throughout the entire mission without being stopped by the presence of IEDs (if a "Destroy" prompt appears, you have failed the challenge). There are three sets of IEDs over the first sandy hill you approach, and enemies will lay more down in this area if you remove them, so be careful. The final area with the bridges has one set of IEDs and enemies that lay more down if they are not eliminated. Command the Quadrotor and be aware of surrounding enemies and threats.

Destroy tanks (x3) with kinetic projectile weapon

To equip the KPW, simply press  while commanding any other unit and get a tank in your sights. Press :l2: and a small satellite image will be displayed over your target. Shortly after that, a roaring kinetic projectile will rain down from the sky and eviscerate the tank. Repeat twice more on two other unfortunate tanks for this one to be completed.

Destroy Helo with kinetic projectile weapon

To equip the KPW, simply press  while commanding any other unit and get one of the two helicopters that appear near the middle of the mission in your sights. Press :l2: and a small satellite image will be displayed over your target. Shortly after that, a roaring kinetic projectile will rain down from the sky and demolish the chopper.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x20) as a quad drone

This one is easy, seeing as you begin the mission in control of a Quadrotor. Use :r1: to fire the machine gun and follow the convoy along the route. Groups of enemies will attack you along this route (they'll be highlighted in red) so just take them out and 20 kills will come in no time.

Run over enemy personnel (x10) as ASD

Take command of an ASD unit and scour the map looking for enemy infantry (red arrows). Simply run into them to mow them down - some might need to be run over twice for the kill. Enemies cannot be shot in order to count towards this challenge. There are a lot of enemies near the bridge section near the end of this mission, so that might be the best spot to attain 10 kills.

Use only ASDs to destroy tanks

Take command of an ASD unit and follow the convoy - eventually it'll be attacked by a tank. Start shooting the tank with the ASD unit (:l1: for missiles, :r1: for machine gun) and eventually you'll destroy it. This challenge mentions tanks (in plural), but the challenge will appear completed after you destroy one tank. If it does not, kill a few more tanks along the convoy route with an ASD unit.

Keep all vehicles in convoy safe

This one is a little bit tricky - you need to keep all four vehicles in your convoy safe, and without blowing up. The best way to do this is to stick to command of the Quadrotor, and lead the convoy while destroying any threats (such as oncoming groups of horseback infantry and tanks). Destroy all tanks with the KPW () and be sure to use spare units to target other threats with :l2:. Tactical View might be a good option for this challenge, as it will allow you to see threats past your line of sight and let you plan for your next move. RPGs are the biggest threat to your trucks - look for them highlighted in red and hiding in rocks and mountains. Remember to eradicate IEDs before they stop the convoy, as you will only be leaving yourself vulnerable by having it stationary.

Complete the mission in tactical view

When the mission begins and you have control of a unit, hit :select: immediately to enter Tactical View. This will give you an entire view of the battlefield, your units, opposing units, and capture points. You can select units with  /  / :left: / :right: and command them with :l2:. For this mission, the best approach is to keep an eye out for RPG units hiding on mountains, and ensure that your Quadrotors are always ready to deal with them. Have your ground units (ASDs) take out the horseback troops, and leave the tanks to your KPW (if the KPW is recharging, have the ASDs attack the tanks). ASD units will also destroy the IEDs along the convoy's route, so be sure to deal with them fast by assigning them to take out the IEDs before they hold up the convoy.

STRIKE FORCE: FOB SPECTRE

Melee enemy personnel (x10)

Infantry units emerge on either side of the map in groups, so you should have no trouble finding enemies to attack. Use :r3: to shock them with your super awesome shock gloves. Simply electrocute-punch 10 enemies to complete this challenge.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x20) using sentry turret

There is a sentry turret located near Objective Points A and B (B is easier to use). You can move these turrets around using :cross: and utilise the turret with :square:. All you need to do is get on the turret and kill 20 enemies with it, and the challenge will be completed. It might be easier if you focus on getting the kills and ignoring the objective.

Eliminate enemy personnel as CLAW (x10)

You will have a CLAW unit dropped in at some point (if you do not already begin with one). Take command of the CLAW unit and use :r1: to mow down 10 enemy soldiers with it. They climb over the fence near Objective Point B, so it should be easy to score 10 kills near here.

Complete mission with enemy never lowering defense shield

This one is quite difficult. You have three Objective Points to defend across 10 minutes (if on Recruit). If two of the three points you are defending are destroyed by the enemy, your defenses will be lowered and you will be forced to defend a fourth Objective Point, D. By default, your units will each take an Objective Point to defend, but as the mission progresses, you will also need to pay attention to the status of your Objective Points. I recommend commanding an infantry unit near Objective Point A and using the turret to eliminate threats toward Point C, while keeping a close tab on B. You should assign the CLAW unit to watch Point B, and watch Point A yourself while a few of your other units watch Point C. Point C is often the most likely one to be attacked (especially by Quadrotors) so always ensure that your infantry units are watching it closely. If need be, use :select: to quickly assume control of a unit near Point C and deal with the opposing forces yourself. Remember that after the mission clock is up, you still need to eliminate all remaining threats to complete the mission. Objective Points can still be destroyed during this time.

Eliminate enemy ASD (x3) using only sentry turrets

ASD units are small remote drones with turrets that drive around asking for trouble. Have a soldier you're commanding jump on the turret near Objective Point A and mow down any ASD units that approach from the rear (where the turret faces to begin with). If your defenses are overrun, remember that there is a sentry turret on the top floor near Objective Point D, so that might be a good chance to mow down some ASD units.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x20) with headshots

Infantry units emerge on either side of the map in groups, so you should have no trouble finding enemies to attack. Take control of an infantry unit and aim for headshots. Don't worry about the mission objective, and just focus on scoring 20 headshots. Even if you fail the mission, you'll still have the challenge completed.

Destroy enemy quad drones (x12)

Enemy Quadrotors attack in large groups of five or six without too much warning, and will often assault Objective Points A and C. Have an infantry unit you're commanding camp near Point A and wait for the Quadrotors to fly around. You should have no trouble eliminating 12 over the ten minute mission time.

Prevent enemy from planting more than one hacking module

This one is also quite difficult, and similar in part to the other challenge where you have to prevent the enemy from lowering your defenses. If the defenses are lowered, immediately command all units to move to Point D and have yourself take control of the central sentry turret. If there is a hacking module in place, leave it until you clear the room of enemies as you risk them placing another one if it is destroyed. If more than one module is laid, you fail the challenge. Remember that after the mission clock is up, you still need to eliminate all remaining threats to complete the mission. Objective Points / hacking modules can still be destroyed / laid during this time.

Allow no more than one sentry turret to be destroyed

Take control of an infantry unit near Point A and move the sentry turret here into the corner by the door so it is not attacked by enemies. It will also mow down any enemies that approach from the stairs or through the door. There are three sentry turrets (to my knowledge) on the map - one near Point A, one near Point B, and one near Point D. You can let one of these be destroyed, but no more. If you are successful in defending the Objective Points from the enemy and the defense is not lowered, you will only have to worry about the turret near Point A, as the Point B one usually does its own thing and mows down the soldiers approaching from the stairs. Look after the turret near Point A as best you can, and if the defenses are breached while you're defending your turret, leave it in the corner where it won't be attacked and assume control of the one near Point D, as that one will become a target when the enemy commands an assault on that point. This challenge shouldn't be too hard as long as you don't draw too much attention to the sentry turrets.

This is arguably the hardest mission to complete in Tactical View, as there are so many points to defend. For this mission, the best approach is to watch ALL Objective Points like a hawk. Point C is susceptible to being attacked the most frequently by enemies and Quadrotors, so always ensure that you have infantry over there guarding it. Point A is usually well-guarded by the sentry turret and the soldiers there, but make sure you keep a close eye on Point B as well; set the CLAW to defend that with the sentry turret there. Remember that you can still complete the mission in Tactical View even if the security defenses are breached! If this happens, hit and hold :l2: to send ALL your units in to secure Point D. All they need to do is hold off the hacking modules until the mission is complete.

STRIKE FORCE: SECOND CHANCE

Eliminate enemy personnel (x10) as HVI

You'll need to rescue the HVI, Chloe Karma, from one of the Objective Points on the map that you are required to search. Once you secure the HVI, hold  to take control of Chloe and then proceed to kill 10 enemies as her.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x10) as VTOL turret gunner

One of your options will be an overhead VTOL with a turret. Simply command the turret gunner with  and mow down 10 enemies with it. The enemies will be easy to spot as they'll be encased in broken red rectangles.

Melee enemy personnel (x10)

Easy enough. Choose any infantry unit and run around the map looking for enemy infantry units (red arrows on your mini-map) and use :r3: to melee them and kill them. 10 kills and the challenge is done.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x15) with headshots

Choose any infantry unit and run around the map looking for enemy infantry units (red arrows on your mini-map) and kill them with headshots. Enemies respawn pretty frequently, so 15 kills should come fairly easily.

Destroy enemy quad drones (x4)

Watch your radar for Quadrotors (and also watch overhead for them). They are fairly abundant on this map, and you'll be shot by them quite frequently. All you need to do is take out four Quadrotors for this challenge. Use your infantry weapons for best effect.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x15) with explosives

Use :r2: to fire the grenades that your infantry will usually have mounted on their arm (not all of your units will have explosive grenades, some will have stun grenades). Simply kill 15 enemies with grenades or any other explosive weapon (some infantry units have a SMAW as a second weapon if you push :triangle:).

Eliminate enemy personnel (x5) by exploding vehicles

When you arrive on the map, run to your right. You will pass five or six cars on this side of the map - all you will need to do is wait for the enemies to group up near these cars and then begin shooting the cars to damage them. After a short time, the cars will catch a lot of fire and explode, killing nearby enemies. The range for this explosion is fairly limited, so ensure the enemies are close to the car before shooting it up. Moving away from the enemies usually prompts them to follow you, so keep this in mind when trying to lead them over to you in this area. You can usually score a maximum of two kills with one car explosion (three if you are lucky), and you should have enough cars to kill five enemies. If you blow up all of the cars and don't have five kills, quit and restart the mission.

Extract the HVI in less than 60 seconds

After extracting the HVI, take control of Chloe by holding  and run as fast as you can back to the helicopter you jumped off of at the beginning of the mission. Sprint as quickly as you can, taking out all enemies that stand between you and it - you should be able to make it back there from any of the Objective Points within a minute pretty easily.

Find HVI in less than 90 seconds.

You need to find the HVI within a minute and a half of you commencing the mission. The HVI will be in one of five Objective Points across the map - run around as fast as possible securing the Objective Points and checking for the HVI. If you are lucky, you will find the HVI within the first three Objective Points - 90 seconds is ample time for you to sweep and clear all of the Points.

Complete the mission in “tactical view” only

When the mission begins and you have control of a unit, hit :select: immediately to enter Tactical View. This will give you an entire view of the battlefield, your units, opposing units, and capture points. You can select units with  /  / :left: / :right: and command them with :l2:. For this mission, the best approach is to command ALL of your units to search and clear one Objective Point at a time. Since there are only a handful of soldiers guarding each Objective Point, your team will have no trouble searching for the HVI. Once you find Chloe, escort her back to the extraction point by hitting :l2: to defend her until she returns. Remember that you can use the overhead VTOL to take care of any other threats in your way.

STRIKE FORCE: DISPATCH

Melee enemy personnel (x10)

Once again, very simple. Choose any infantry unit and run around the map looking for enemy infantry units (red arrows on your mini-map) and use :r3: to melee them and kill them. 10 kills and the challenge is out of the way.

Destroy enemy ASD (x10) while disabled

Some of your infantry units will be equipped with EMP or Concussion grenades. EMP grenades are capable of disabling enemy ASD units (small, mobile tank turrets) for a short time. Use :l2: as infantry units to throw EMP grenades in order to stun the ASD units, and when they are stunned, take them out with your weapon. 10 kills this way will complete the challenge. Change to other infantry if you run out of EMP grenades.

Complete mission with more than 3:00 remaining

The objective of the mission is to make it all the way to the VTOL wreck and plant a network intruder near it in order to draw General Zhao out of hiding to assassinate him. You will need to do this with more than three minutes left on the mission clock. The best way to do this is to command an infantry unit and run down the path on the right side of the map. Take out the sentry turret here and then turn left to find the VTOL wreck. Here, you'll have to contend with two more sentries (deal with them using an EMP) and a lot of foot soldiers. Take them ALL out with your infantry, and once they are all dealt with, plant a network intruder with :square: in the corner by one of the turrets so that it will be less likely to be attacked. More units will attack after you put it down, so have your soldiers guard the area intensely until it finishes hacking. Approach the VTOL after the intruder is done hacking, and you will assassinate Zhao to complete the mission. If your mission clock has more than 3 minutes remaining, you will complete the challenge.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x20) with headshots

Standard headshot challenge. Choose any infantry unit and run around the map looking for enemy infantry units (red arrows on your mini-map) and kill them with headshots. 20 is quite a few but enemies seem to be very common on this mission.

Aim for groups of enemies to kill 15 much faster.

Destroy sentry turrets (x3) while disabled

In order to destroy a disabled sentry turret you MUST first throw an EMP at it with :r2: (not all infantry units will come equipped with EMP grenades, they are the non-circular ones in your inventory). Throwing an EMP will fizzle out the sentry turret temporarily and cause it to cease fire. Take this time to shoot it to pieces. There are a few turrets on this map - one on the left side of the map, one in the alleyway down the right from the beginning, and two guarding General Zhao's VTOL. You should have no trouble disabling and destroying 3 of these if you come prepared with EMPs.

Destroy multiple ASD (x2) with one explosion

This one is a little bit tricky, as you will need both an explosion capable of taking out two ASDs at once (the small mobile ground turret units), and also two ASDs actually next to each other. Equip a SMAW with :triangle: as it is the weapon that causes the most devastating damage with an explosion, and run to the right of the map all the way around to the downed VTOL at the end. If there's only one ASD here, kill some regular infantry enemies and wait for more ASDs to spawn. With some luck, you will be able to get two ASDs within close proximity of each other and when you do, take aim with the SMAW and devastate them both. A pinch of luck and careful aiming will mark this challenge off as completed.

Use only one hacking module to complete mission

The same strategy applies for rushing to complete the three-minute challenge, but to complete this one you require a more careful approach. The objective of the mission is to make it all the way to the VTOL wreck and plant a network intruder near it in order to draw General Zhao out of hiding to assassinate him. If the very first intruder you place is destroyed, you fail the challenge. So, the best way to tackle this challenge is to command an infantry unit and run down the path on the right side of the map. Make sure you defend it with your life - use yourself as a shield if you have to! Ensure it gets placed in a corner where the enemies will have to work hard in order to shoot it. More units will attack after you put it down, so have your soldiers guard the area intensely until it finishes hacking. Approach the VTOL after the intruder is done hacking, and you will assassinate Zhao to complete the mission. Remember that if the first intruder is broken, you will fail the challenge, so sweep and kill all enemies before placing it.

Eliminate enemy personnel (x10) while they are stunned

Some of your infantry units come equipped with EMP or Concussion grenades that can be used with :l2: (they are the ones that aren't shaped like discs used from your launcher). Toss them at enemies to temporarily disorientate them. While they are in this state, mow them down with your weapon. 10 kills this way completes the challenge - remember to change units if you run out of EMP or Concussion grenades.

This mission is quite difficult to complete in Tactical View as your AI teammates will more often than not run in and get themselves killed, unless you are very strategic about it. For this one, I suggest leading them ALL down the alleyway on the right side of the map. Command them to take out the sentry turret here and then you'll have a clear view of the area you will be attacking to reach Zhao. Target the enemies in this area one at a time, and always keep an eye on the condition of your soldiers. Sometimes, if they are low on health, it's worth pressing :l2: to just send them in and do what they can before they die. Don't be tempted to switch to commanding them though! When you clear the area, have ALL available units secure the Objective Point and then command them to defend the area at all costs. If you have more ground troops or other units on the way, have them go through the alleyway and not through the center as it poses more of a threat to your units.

Oh, sorry! I had no idea that WIP Guides weren't allowed. Well, in any case, thanks for letting me continue it, I plan on doing so for as long as possible until the challenges are all completed and written out (I'm updating this as quickly as I can while I get through them).
