Road Map Estimate difficulty: 3/10.Everything in this game is really easy except one quick draw shooting gallery. That is the only thing preventing this from being a 2. Estimated time to Platinum: 6-12 hours. Minimum number of playthroughs needed: 1 in story mode and all galleries. Trophy breakdown: 28 (8 , 13 , 6 , 1 ). Offline: All. Online: None. [*]Missable trophies: None. [*]Glitched trophies: None. [*]Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, story mode must be cleared on hard difficulty. [*]Do cheats disable trophies?: Not applicable. [*]Special hardware required for platinum?: No.That said, this game is compatible with the PS Move and the Top Shot Elite. Either of these come highly recommend. Note: This guide is written assuming one is playing with a PS Move. It should not be difficult to convert between controller types though. Step 1: Complete story mode on hard difficulty: With proper planning, you can easily knock out all of the story trophies along the way. One thing you want to keep in mind is that there are nine map piece collectibles scattered throughout the story mode and they are needed to unlock some galleries. Check the "The True Adventurer" specific guide for a rough location guide. Here are the story mode related trophies: Getting Down Keep Them Off Survivor Hangman Focus Novice Focus Master Pro Hunter Down Bear, Down! Cat Dominator The Story’s Taking Shape Getting The Hang Of It Latch Proficient Latch Master Hunt 20 With Handgun Hunt 30 With Bolt Hunt 10 With Semi Auto Rifle Hunt 20 With Shotgun A Good Explorer The Pro Adventurer The True AdventurerStep 2: Complete all galleries with a gold medal: All but one of the galleries are very easy to get gold medals on, especially if you follow the tips below. The one gallery that is hard (quick draw 8) should come with practice and patience. Here are the trophies that pertain to this step: Shooting Galleries Expert Hunting For Gold Practiced ChallengerStep 3: Mop up: You should still need the challenge and latch trophies from gallery mode and possibly some loose ends from story mode. Take this time to knock those out. Any story mode trophies lingering can be done via chapter select. During this step you should unlock the following: Gold All The Way Novice Challenger Pro Challenger Latch Them Down Master of Survival Edited September 2, 2017 by Terminator Replaced a missing image. Cauchy
http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/01.jpg Master of Survival Unlocked all Trophies Nothing too fancy here, just follow the guide and you should be all set. Story Mode Trophies http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/18.jpg Getting Down Landed the plane without hitting any obstacles This will almost definitely be the first trophy you unlock because this is one of the first sequences in story mode. Honestly, I got this trophy without even knowing that there was a trophy for doing it. That’s how easy it is. Just keep your plane level and in the center and you’ll be good to go. If you do happen to miss this, you can unlock it via chapter select. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/27.jpg Keep Them Off Successfully repelled 10 animals using melee attacks in Story Mode You can melee attack animals when they are close to you by pressing . Kill 10 animals with melee and the trophy is yours. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/13.jpg Survivor Hunted 30 animals in a row without dying in Story Mode There is nothing to worry about with this trophy, as you have plenty of health and plenty of easy animals to kill. In fact, this will very likely be one of the first trophies you get. Any animals you kill count towards the total, including the flying animals. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/09.jpg Hangman Hunted 20 targets while hanging in Story Mode During some of the climbing sequences in Story Mode, some flying animals (birds early on and bats later on) will swarm you. At these times, the game will allow you to gun them down. Take the opportunity and shoot as many as you can down. Kill 20 flying animals over the course of the story and the trophy is yours. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/26.jpg Focus Novice Hunted 10 animals using Focus Shot in Story Mode See the "Focus Master" trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/10.jpg Focus Master Hunted 20 animals using Focus Shot in Story Mode You enter focus mode by pressing . Focus mode makes it easier to fell your targets. Kill a total of 20 animals while in this mode and the trophy is yours. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/11.jpg Pro Hunter Finish three hunts in Story Mode This trophy is unmissable and will unlock as you progress through the story. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/14.jpg Down Bear, Down! Hunted three bears in Story Mode This trophy is unmissable and will unlock as you progress through the story. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/15.jpg Cat Dominator Hunted four cougars in Story Mode This trophy is unmissable and will unlock as you progress through the story. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/20.jpg The Story’s Taking Shape Gathered 15 collectable elements in Story Mode Ammo, journals and map pieces all count towards this total. No collectible guide is needed as 95% of the collectibles are in plain view and there are well over 15 to be collected. Of particular note though are the map pieces, since they are required to unlock some of the Galleries. I have included a map piece guide under the "The Pro Adventurer" trophy. Since there are nine map pieces, you only need to find six other collectibles throughout the entire story mode . http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/25.jpg Getting The Hang Of It Hunted two animals in latching situations in Story Mode See the "Latch Master" trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/12.jpg Latch Proficient Hunted three animals in latching situations in Story Mode See the "Latch Master" trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/05.jpg Latch Master Hunted four animals in latching situations in Story Mode Occasionally, an animal will latch onto you with jaws and try to make a meal out of you. When this happens, get them in the cross-hairs and take them down. Unfortunately, latching happens very rarely without coercion. While I have read that cougars can latch onto you, I was never able to get one to do so during my hard playthrough. That said, I did have quite a bit of success with the White wolves. Better yet, there’s a very nice place to farm these latch kills: During the third or fourth (maybe fifth) chapter, you will be tasked with gathering some vaccine samples. At the beginning of this little quest you will deal with a good number of wolves, several of which are white. Kill off all the non-White wolves. Let the White ones latch onto you by just standing there. Once they do, kill them. You can reload the checkpoint as necessary to unlock all of these latch trophies at the same time. If you're still having difficulty with this trophy and still don't have it after your hard play-through, try lowering the difficulty to easy, so you don't die as fast. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/23.jpg Hunt 20 With Handgun Hunted 20 animals with the handgun in Story Mode See the "Hunt 20 With Shotgun" trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/21.jpg Hunt 30 With Bolt Hunted 30 animals with the bolt-action rifle in Story Mode See the "Hunt 20 With Shotgun" trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/17.jpg Hunt 10 With Semi Auto Rifle Hunted 10 animals with the semi auto rifle in Story Mode See the "Hunt 20 With Shotgun" trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/22.jpg Hunt 20 With Shotgun Hunted 20 animals with the shotgun in Story Mode You get the weapons in the following order: Handgun, Bolt-Action Rifle, Semi Auto Rifle and, lastly, the shotgun. As long as you exclusively use each new gun as you unlock them, you should have no problem getting this trophy by the story’s end. That said, if you get impatient and want this trophy right away (like me), then you can actually reload checkpoints to farm the kills whenever you find a good spot. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/28.jpg A Good Explorer Finished the Story Mode on Easy difficulty setting See the "The True Adventurer" trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/08.jpg The Pro Adventurer Finished Story Mode on the Medium difficulty setting See the "The True Adventurer" trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/02.jpg The True Adventurer Finished Story Mode on the Hard difficulty setting Hard mode is not hard at all and there is no reason you shouldn’t play on this difficulty right from the start, since it is available. Beyond the story mode trophies, there is only one other thing that you need to concern yourself with during story mode and that is finding the map piece collectibles, as they are needed to unlock some of the Galleries. They are listed below in order of appearance. The descriptions may not be perfect, but all of the map pieces are in plain view, except the eighth one. Map Piece 1: (Chapter 2) Just after you hunt the three moose, but before the following climbing sequence, you will see it on the ground. Map Piece 2: (Chapter 3) After your first cougar fight, you will see it on a ledge to the right. Map Piece 3: (Chapter 4) After the first campfire save point, you can climb to it. Map Piece 4: (Chapter 4) After the hunt, there will be a climbing sequence and you should see the map piece in plain view just before the end of the chapter. Map Piece 5: (Chapter 5) You will come to a point where you have to drop from tree limb to tree limb. Just after this, you will see the map piece. Map Piece 6: (Chapter 5) Shortly after you pick up the grapple gun, you will come across this map piece on the ledge of a building. It is on the path you must follow. Map Piece 7: (Chapter 7) You will have to cross a busted up bridge. Just after you do so, you can find this piece in an alcove to the right. Map Piece 8: (Chapter 7) This is the only really hidden map piece in the game. After you fight “the creature,” you will have to clime up some ladders and ledges. Keep climbing up and you will eventually see this piece sitting on a ledge in the middle of the screen that you need to climb to. Map Piece 9: (Chapter 8) After the first climbing sequence in plain view. Edited April 27, 2012 by Cauchy Editorial Sweep.
Cauchy
Gallery Mode Trophies http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/06.jpg Shooting Galleries Expert Obtained gold medals in all of the Survival Shooting Galleries There are eight Survival Galleries and, in order get a gold medal on a gallery, you need to survive for seven. The easiest way to accomplish this is to change the difficulty to easy from the main settings menu. Once you do this, the animals that attack you will take off less damage. Apart from this, the best thing you can do is shoot anything that moves to fend off the animals. Obviously, you want to use the power-ups wisely. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/07.jpg Hunting For Gold Obtained gold medals in all of the Trek Shooting Galleries There are eight trek Shooting Galleries and, in order get a gold medal on a gallery, you need to reach a certain point threshold. The point thresholds are very easy to achieve so don’t worry. That said, if you really want to crush the required score to ensure that you get gold, you should play on hard difficulty because it awards more points. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/04.jpg Gold All The Way Obtained gold medals in all of the Quick Draw Shooting Galleries There are eight quick draw Shooting Galleries and, in order get a gold medal on a gallery, you need to clear each gallery in a specified amount of time. Clearing a gallery may seem awkward at first, but it’s not that bad. In this mode, you will see a line of dots in the top center portion of your screen. When you reach a certain point threshold, the dots will fill up starting from the left. The more points you get, the more dots fill up. When all the dots are full, you will have to reach one last threshold and then the gallery will end. If you do this under the specified time you will get your gold medal. The catch is that dots are taken away if you are attacked. All of these Galleries are very easy to clear in the specified time with one very distinct exception, the eighth and final gallery. All I can say is that you will have practice quite a bit on this gallery to clear it in the specified time. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/24.jpg Novice Challenger Won five challenges in Shooting Galleries See the "Pro Challenger" trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/16.jpg Practiced Challenger Won 10 challenges in Shooting Galleries See the "Pro Challenger" trophy. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/03.jpg Pro Challenger Won 15 challenges in Shooting Galleries After you play any of the Galleries, you will be given the option to make it into a challenge. You will then be able to choose what the challenge is consists of. For the purposes of this trophy, here’s what you want to do: Load up Survival Gallery 8 and just stand there and die. Once the stats screen comes up for the gallery, hit to make a challenge. For your three challenge options, pick the number of kills, shot percentage and score options. As long as you didn’t fire a shot, all of these will be at zero. Save the challenge. Switch the game difficulty to hard. Go in gallery mode and start up the challenge. For the first sequence of the Gallery, don’t do a thing. In particular, don’t shoot the path chooser which should be pointed right. For the second sequence, you will see some moose. Kill at least one of these. For the third sequence, you will be latched onto by a wolf. Just let him gobble you up. If done properly, the challenge will end at 28 seconds and you will have one challenge complete added to your total. [*] At the end of each challenge, choose the option to restart until you’ve unlocked all three challenge trophies. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1257/19.jpg Latch Them Down Hunted five animals in latching situations in Shooting Galleries The best place I’ve found to get this is Survival Gallery 8. At the start, kill the first pack of wolves but don’t tinker with that path chooser. (It should be pointed right.) During the next sequence, you can either kill the moose or not. It doesn’t matter. The next sequence is where you will get latched onto by a wolf. Once he does, blast him away. After you kill him, restart the level and repeat until you unlock the trophy. Cauchy
im having trouble getting them to latch on to me.any other tips.it just wont work Well, you can try to go the cougar route. Or, you can try lowering the difficulty so you don't die as quick.

DarkWizard
Great guide as always. Just a thought, maybe for map #8 add in right after the fight and when you start to climb the ladders, you want to climb the ladder on the left to get to the map. The ladder on the right will progress the story and you may not see the map, at least I didn't. Since this is the only real hidden map, just thought it could be made more clear. Anyways just an idea. alien666
Many thanx for your guide – it was very useful. I think you should correct something. Shooting Galleries Export: As description says you have to survive all 8 shotting galleries (you said that seven it`s enough). Keep Them Off: You can melee attack animals by pressing R3. Many thanx for desription to Pro Challenger. To achieve all three trophies it took me about 5 min. I had some trouble with Latch Master trophy. During my hard playthrough I didn`t kill any animal this way. You have right, I easily obtained all three trophies in chapter 5 after first "lighting a fire save". You meet some white wolves there which all the time latch on you. I did it on easy difficulty loading last checkpoint only two times.
