YurtleTehTurtle
Buzz Junior Robo Jam Trophy Guide http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/cover.jpg Estimated trophy Difficulty: 2 Offline: 11 Online: 0 DLC: N/A Approximate time to 100%: 1-2 hours Minimum number of playthroughs: 1 Number of missable trophies: N/A Glitched trophies: None Cheat Codes: None Overview This is probably the easiest PSN title available to date and as noted above, with luck all trophies can be achieved in a single playthrough. Robo Jam is a cut down version of the PS2 Buzz game and for those who haven't played it before it's basically a collection of 5 party games in the vein of Mario Party. It can be played with either Buzzers (PS2 ones are compatible) or standard controllers (although these are slighly less intuitive than the Buzzers). All trophies can be achieved by a single player and by setting the difficulty to Hard in a single playthrough. Any trophies you miss can then be swept up in Practice mode where you are able to select and play individual events. The difficulty doesn't really vary much but Hard is required for the Super Bot and Mallet Master Trophies. On some of the events where being the first to press a certain colour is required IE Pillow Fight & Odd Bot Out, it is possible to press PS as soon as the screen appears thereby pausing the action. You can then select the correct colour and hover your finger just over the corresponding button before un-pausing. Thanks to Vintsukka for this tip. Event One: Mad Mallets http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/01.jpg Mallet Masher (Bronze Trophy) Score a minimum of 4200 points in singleplayer mode in Mad Mallets. See Mallet Master. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/02.jpg Mallet Master (Silver Trophy) Score a minimum of 6600 points in a singleplayer game of Mad Mallets. Simply hit the Purple Squidgy thing as quickly as possible by pressing the colour it lands on to score a maximun of 200 points per hit. The vast majority will not land on your own colour so just concentrate on the other three buttons. Some players have experienced problems getting 6600 with poor AI, even on Hard. My only advice is keep trying, the AI should get their act together at least one in three games. If you miss on your main playthrough go back to this event in practice mode. Event Two: Pillow Fight http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/07.jpg Feathered Friend (Bronze Trophy) Score a minimum of 2500 points in singleplayer mode in Pillow Fight. See Untouchable. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/08.jpg Untouchable (Silver Trophy) Don't get hit once in a singleplayer game of Pillow Fight. In this event you get randomly paired with an AI bot and have to press his colour to hit him before he hits you. The AI takes a second or two to hit you so as long as you're relatively quick you shouldn't loose. Your player will also swap positions and sides throughout the game to throw you off your guard. Ten hits are required for the Feathered Friend trophy. Event Three: Piston Peril http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/10.jpg Nerves of Steel (Bronze Trophy) Avoid getting crushed in all the rounds of Piston Peril in singleplayer mode. See Risky Robot. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/09.jpg Risky Robot Silver Trophy Score a minimum of 1800 points in singleplayer mode in Piston Peril. This is a game of nerve where a piston hovers over the players for a random amount of time before crushing the unlucky Robot. When it's above you, you accumulate points until you either forward it onto another player by pressing their colour or it crushes you (at which point you loose any points you scored in that round). This event last for five rounds so try to average around 300-400 points per round. RISKY ROBOT: I've worked out that you each piston offers just over 600 points, so if you count up how much is dished out before it comes to you then you should be able to squeeze a certain maximum out of it. If it starts on you, let it reach 600 points, and then quickly move it to someone else. Event Four: Odd Bot Out http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/05.jpg Fastest Finger (Bronze Trophy) Score a minimum of 3500 points in singleplayer mode in Odd Bot Out. See Eagle Eyed http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/06.jpg Eagle Eyed (Silver Trophy) Score a minimum of 6500 points in singleplayer mode in Odd Bot Out. This is probably the easiest event in the game; you have to pick the odd picture out by pressing one of four corresponding colours and the quicker you pick the higher you score (maximum 400 points per pick). The majority of these are really obvious, just make sure you have a finger over each button for maximun speed. Event Five: Nitro Racing http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/03.jpg Survivor (Bronze Trophy) Finish a race in singleplayer without blowing up in Nitro Racing. See Front Runner. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/04.jpg Front Runner (Silver Trophy) Win all races in Nitro Racing in singleplayer mode. This event consists of three sprints, the twist is that you are carrying a pot of explosive that overheats if you run to fast (speed dictated by how fast you hit the button). My advice to always win is 'slow and steady'; press the button just fast enough so that your explosive stays green. If it starts to turn yellow just slow down slightly for a second or two until it returns to green. During the early stages the AI will keep up and sometimes even lead, don't panic and you will always lead at the closing stages. To make double sure you win , just after the last marker (1) is an orange line - once you hit this sprint flat out to the finish line. http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/136/11.jpg Super Bot (Gold Trophy) Win a standard singleplayer game with the AI bots set to hard. If you follow the above tips you should easily get this after your first game. EDIT Updated 21/07/09 to include tips from Vintsukka & Squodge. Edited July 7, 2019 by Terminator Removed signature. Vintsukka
Or you could do Mallets, Pillow Fight and Odd Bot Out the easy way, pausing the game with the PS button. The game freezes and you can take your time picking the right button to press.
BigWillie21
I'm having issures with the Mallets, seems that the other robots start missing there hits and it caues like 5 seconds to run off the clock.
Memphis88
yea me too. i put it on hard and they still act like frickin idiots. i didnt miss a single one, and got 200 or 150 on just about every hit except like 3, and i still didnt even hit 5500. how is this even possible when the other robots are fricking dumb
squodge
RISKY ROBOT: I've worked out that you each piston offers just over 600 points, so if you count up how much is dished out before it comes to you then you should be able to squeeze a certain maximum out of it. If it starts on you, let it reach 600 points, and then quickly move it to someone else. MALLET MASTER: It's just luck that some of the robots will miss theirs, thereby slowing down the points. The best way to get this trophy is to get 200 pointers for every squish. This has got to be the easiest set of trophies ever, and they're actually far more enjoyable than either Noby Noby Boy or Linger in Shadows. ~ squodge ~
Soul Eater
MALLET MASTER = impossible for me The AI is sooooo stupid, that it's unbelivable. Even on Hard they mess up like 7-8 times... What about the points !? I hit them all really fast but still get different points, 200=50 on same speed, wtf !?
squodge
MALLET MASTER = impossible for me The AI is sooooo stupid, that it's unbelivable. Even on Hard they mess up like 7-8 times... What about the points !? I hit them all really fast but still get different points, 200=50 on same speed, wtf !? I got mine on the third try, so it's definitely not impossible. But it's definitely frustrating lol. That's why I wouldn't rate it a 1, as it's not a walk in the park... and people with slow reactions might never get 100%. ~ squodge ~
Morphine
Very easy trophies, Mallet master can be the toughest one but not impossible, I got like 9K on it, just put it on hard and pray AI does not miss much
Memphis88
pray? lol, ive kept it on hard and ive tried it 13 TIMES! every time they miss at least 6 times, and i cant get enuf points, this game sucks.
StarlightSammy
I feel your pain. But luckily after my 6th time, I got the trophy. The AI's are dumb even when they are on hard. I recommend you should use a Buzz Buzzer to do this. Seriously, it's a million times harder with a PS3 controller. This was my last trophy to get to have 100%... thedarkness91
Great guide and thanks for the help on the 1800pt Piston trophy. I didn't really know what to do.
StarlightSammy
But I don't get it. This game doesn't NEED a trophy guide. The trophy descriptions are pretty much straightforward.
thedarkness91
So, on Hard difficulty, is Mallet Master easier? I'm trying on Easy but I could only get 5000. BUT, I was using the blue player so I was on the left side so I hardly got any missed blob thingies... Maybe if I picked a different color which was in the middle then I could get more points? Also, can I go in practice mode and still get trophies?
d4ngelz
One of the easiest psn games I ever played, got 100% in 30mins, a real joke.
thedarkness91
I just got 8050 points for the Mallet Master lol...so easy on the second go. Mallet Master is easier on Hard for some reason, weird eh?
coach5488
Hello, Here is the best way to get the Mallet Master trophy if you don't get it after many tries : - play on easy mode - each time the little monster lands, press the ps button, then you'll see where it lands! - You'll have the chance to score 200 each time! jmptrck
for Nitro Racing, what button do I hit to run? I just kept watching my guy get burnt by the sanatizing flame thing
Jester695
I just tried the Piston Peril game. One time it started on me and squished me at 359. The next time it went over 1000 total before dropping. So the idea that it is always approximately 600 each time is incorrect. Also, on Nitro Racing, I tried the suggestion of keeping it green until hitting the '1' line and then sprinting for the finish. I blew up before I got there. So that doesn't work so well either. Update: Did the Nitro Racing again. This time I waited until I was a couple steps inside the '1' line before sprinting. Crossed the finish line....with the canister, then body, then feet......completely across the line. Then I blew up. My charred robo-body is sitting on the ground...entirely across the finish line. Game doesn't count it as a win, so no trophy (it was the third race, after two wins). Absolutely a garbage game.
