Linkinito
http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/984/01.jpg Burnout Crash All-Star Obtain all 270 stars. Yep, that's right. Obtaining 270 stars, that means you must get 5 stars in all the 54 challenges on the game. And it's clearly not that easy. However, I'm currently doing a video guide to get all these stars. Work in progress: 9/54 challenges uploaded 9 challenges to encode and upload, 36 challenges to do (I didn't get all 270 stars yet! I'm far from getting them all, I'm doing videos as I get them!) I'm going to use the Takedown 4x4 for each challenge, as it's the starting car and it's the most balanced of them all, with a good Crashbreaker power, and a decent Aftertouch control. Here's some basics: - You are not forced to get the 5 stars in one game. You can go for the $50 million in one game, trying to get the Special Feature in another, and focusing on the last objective in another game. - In Road Trip mode, you have four common objectives: $50 million in damage (dispatched in 3 objectives), the Special Feature, and one variable objective. - In Rush Hour mode, you must get $50 million in 90 seconds, and two other objectives that are variable. You can let escape as many cars as you want, so you can focus on buildings, high-value cars and secondary objectives, as traffic cars crash into each other. - In Pile-Up mode, you must get $100 million in damage, one objective concerning Inferno mode, and one variable objective. High value cars and buildings will be your main moneymakers on this mode. - Try to destroy at least 10 objects in a row at the start to get at least a 10x Destruction Chain. It will give you $5 million. But sometimes you won't get more than 6x, 7x (it's $1 million after 6x). It's a bonus you shouldn't miss, especially in Road Trip. Windrush Road & 1st Road Trip [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMxE_8IUs8U]Burnout Crash 5-star Guide - Windrush Road & 1st - Road Trip - YouTube[/ame] I managed to get $75 million, thanks to the $17 million given by the two money trucks (I also get a trophy for getting $9 million from a money truck), and another $17 million from the Tornado with a 100% power. Rush Hour [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhlc2QRcPQg]Burnout Crash 5-stars Guide - Windrush Road & 1st - Rush Hour - YouTube[/ame] I barely got $50 million, but I got every objective done. It's possible to do much better with a better bonus from the pizza truck. Pile-Up [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y6Sx7Zz1ujU]Burnout Crash 5-stars Guide - Windrush Road & 1st - Pile-Up[/ame] It was a good try overall, and in this mode, blowing up all sport cars with a 5x multiplier, gives you $45 million, and the gold car gives you $30 million (and a trophy). You can see me getting it. The key for it is to not miss any car, then trying to focus on the high value cars and buildings by maintaining some fires around. Windrush Road & 2nd Road Trip [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T07_ejyknEc]Burnout Crash 5-star Guide - Windrush Road & 2nd - Road Trip - YouTube[/ame] It was a good attempt. I did better games, but I didn't manage to get the Gold Car, which is an objective. I could have done better by letting go less cars, as the Tornado has only 40% Power. Anyway, I reached $50 million before the Tornado so I was golden. Rush Hour [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ShWogwrPxk]Burnout Crash 5-star Guide - Windrush Road & 2nd - Rush Hour - YouTube[/ame] A very good and lucky attempt, as I get all three sport cars and both pizza trucks. Sometimes the second pizza truck don't spawn, or I missed it by pure badluck. Anyway, if you struggle to get everything in one go, just spread the stars on multiple games. Pile-Up [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pdXY_U1Quho]Burnout Crash 5-star Guide - Windrush Road & 2nd - Pile-Up - YouTube[/ame] I got it mostly because of the big crashbreakers, the sport car, and the Gold Car. Like every Pile-Up challenge, getting a x5 multiplier and blowing up buildings and high-value cars (Sport and Gold), and doing Skillshots with crashbreakers, are the big part of your money. Windrush Road & 3rd Road Trip [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4ASrGuMOsY]Burnout Crash 5-star Guide - Windrush Road & 3rd - Road Trip - YouTube[/ame] Wasn't a very good attempt. I let escape 3 traffic cars, only 40% Power for the Tornado, fortunately I managed to go over $50 million thanks to the City Hall at the end. If you see closely, I try to damage the City Hall as much as possible so the Tornado can destory it, even at 40%. I could have got the Did You Let One Go? trophy as I let escape the Oil Tanker, but I already got it earlier. Rush Hour [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wX-AfibNbV0]Burnout Crash 5-star Guide - Windrush Road & 3rd - Rush Hour - YouTube[/ame] It was a decent attempt, with a pretty nice final. Even if I missed the 2 Pizza Trucks, the good Crashbreaker at the end made me cross the $50 million mark before the final explosion, which I used to destroy the City Hall to get the last star. Pile-Up [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8FoQohl6jk]Burnout Crash 5-star Guide - Windrush Road & 3rd - Pile-Up - YouTube[/ame] It didn't started well, and I thought I wouldn't get it. I didn't blow the Gold Car, however, it seemed that respawning by falling into the hole locked the Inferno mode, and this permitted me to blow up other cars and buildings that led me to $100 million. CyberKid69
So.. you are fast with it. I enjoyed your first levels... Keep up the good work. Tip: Work your way to the last level (score at least one star in every Road Trip). There is no need for doing any Rush Hour or Pile Up. After your last Road Trip all your cars will get the Elite status. This means both Power and Aftertouch will get some extra strengths. JaMaJ_PL
Well done doing the guide. Now, in Pile Up during inferno, falling down the pits gives you huge advantage as the timer doesnt start unless you hit something (exactly how you did in Windrush Road & 3rd). So during inferno blow something up, then steer yourself to the pit. You will start at the beginning and you can choose your next target (preferably near the pit) and hit it and again - steer yourself to the pit. There many maps with huge pits so it makes things easier and sometimes blowing EVERYTHING on a map won't be a problem. Scores like 200.000.000 will make you smile:) Hope this helps. One more thing. Smash Chain. That's the only thing i have problems with. It's about blowing buildings? Do i have to blow them simultaneously? Explosion Chain is when one car blows another standing nearby right? Or maybe its the Explosion Combo? Need to figure it out... Edited September 30, 2011 by JaMaJ_PL
Rampidzier
Smash Chain is when you start off driving (or after you fell into a hole) and hit stuff on your way to the intersection. Which means if you want a 10x Smash Chain, you have to hit 10 things on your drive.
Twitch_City
Have you made it to Seacrest & 3rd yet? I'm trying to get my last star on the Rush Hour event... which is to get a smash chain of 11x. And I can't for the life of me figure out a route that a) allows me to hit that many things in rapid succession; and, b) allows me to also hit traffic. Any ideas? Rampidzier
Well, I don't think it says anywhere that you have to do your Smash Chain at the beginning drive. You can always fall into a hole and re-enter the course, which gets rid of that annoying Try Again if you crash into something other than a car. So if you can find an 11x Smash Chain, then just do it on a re-entry. Me personally, I haven't been able to find an 11x Smash Chain even with knowing that. UnholyInfinity
for the 11x smash go the left way. if you hit everything on the way before you hit through the fence (not including the street lighting at the beginning) and then hit the stuff on the right between the fence and the parked bus + car and then smash into one of them you should get exactly 11x. KRAUSY13
for the 11x smash go the left way. if you hit everything on the way before you hit through the fence (not including the street lighting at the beginning) and then hit the stuff on the right between the fence and the parked bus + car and then smash into one of them you should get exactly 11x. Thanks for the tip I'll try that tomorrow. I've tried that event nearly 80 times purely to try and get that last star. It's driving me mad... UnholyInfinity
well I've 2 more stars left: rockham & 3rd, road trip -> 5x explosion chain only managed to get to 4x so far. kinda difficult to get a good cluster together since you have to jump around all the time if you don't want to let 5 escape. and roswell & 1st, rush hour -> 15 skill shots I have absolutely no idea how to get 15 skillshots......I don't think I even managed to get 10 here. I mean.....the most obvious one would be to go for dunk shots, but there's only one hole and it's kinda hard to actually get 15 in the hole in only 90 seconds and sometime even though I push/blast a car in it doesn't count as a skillshot, which makes it even harder :/ any tips would be appreciated. edit: well got the first one but still struggling with the 15 skillshots edit 2: ok don't know how but also got the 15 skillshots, so I'm done Edited October 4, 2011 by UnholyInfinity
PoolieMike
can someone tell me the difference between a Shunt skillshot and a Punt skillshot?
Rampidzier
A Shunt is where you launch a car (or dumpster or another object that counts) into a parked, undamaged car. A Punt is where you launch a car (or another object that counts) into a moving car.
JamesBR27
Don't care that it's hard as long as it's fun. Is this thread dead by the way?
YvoMulder
I finally got all the stars. Here are some tips: - Skillshot Stars: use the Trashmaster Elite. It is very powerful and can shoot cars and objects easily around. Also, look out for alternative routes after you went down a hole. These routes often end with a sports car or dumpster, which you can use for skillshots. - Rockham & 3rd Pile Up (or any Pile Up): as soon as you are in Inferno mode, go down the holes over and over again and hit something on your way, but not too much. The timer resets every time you go down a hole. This way you can even get away with a 4x multiplier to reach $100,000,000 on this particular event.
