Introduction

Burn the Rope is a puzzle game ported from mobile devices, where you must do as the title of the game suggests - burn ropes to complete 172 levels split into 8 sections. The concept is simple, although it is trickier than it sounds, some later levels may take many tries. The trophies are of a simple nature, as long as you get gold in every level, you get every trophy naturally, meaning you don't need to go out of your way for them.

Step 1- Play through the game, attempting to gold every level

Simple as that really. If you gold everything, you've got every trophy. The trophies other than getting golds all come naturally through playing through the game. You can choose to skip a gold if you wish, but as explained in Master of the Flame, this isn't advised

Step 2- Clean Up

If you did skip a gold, now is the time to get it. Once you've got every gold, you'll have all the trophies, most notably Master of the Flame. Congrats!

Trophy Guide:

Got a gold on every level.

There are a total of 172 levels in the game, divided into 8 sections, getting more difficult and with more gameplay elements as you progress (although the last section is arguably easier than the penultimate, albeit longer). To get gold in a level, you need to destroy 95% of the rope (and pretty much every insect). This can get quite tricky, so below are some tips:

  • Alternate rotation - At some points, you'll need multiple flames going at once in different directions, but as flames only go up, if one is at the top of a rope for too long, it will burn out. This means you'll need to rotate the level quickly so they don't burn out and you make progress with eradicating the rope, but not too quick which will cause very slow progress. For example, if you have two fires going in either direction, rotate the level 180 degrees every couple of seconds.
  • Experiment from different starting points - For some levels, you'll really need to think about where to start from. If you start from the wrong place, you'll find yourself in a dead end with a lot of rope still left. The right place isn't necessarily by an abundance of insects. Some levels have more than one spot you can start from, if you are sure it is possible to complete the level from a certain starting point but are struggling, still try another spot.
  • Resilience - This is a game where skipping a level and coming back to it later if you're frustrated doesn't really help. Keep trying, all the while getting closer and closer until you get the gold.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1767/F8E.jpg Rainbow (B)

Got 4 or more flames all of different colors at once.

This is practically unmissable. You'll get at least four different colours from ants in the bonus level straight after level 8.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1767/E0D.jpg Dead Ant (B)

Eliminated 5 Ants.

The first ants appear at level 3. When a flame hits them, it changes colour. Some ropes are coloured, and only a matching flame can burn them. Disregarding repeats, you should get this on level 6 or so.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1767/5DB.jpg Beetle Bopper (B)

Eliminated 10 Beetles.

Beetles are first found on level 17. They serve no special purpose, but must be hit with the correct matching colour flame, or you lose 4%, which is very damaging. You should get it soon into the Wood Pile levels.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1767/B99.jpg Web Wizard (B)

Eliminated 20 Spiders.

Spiders are first found in level 33. They create a thread to a nearby rope, which can transfer the fire to places that are initially impossible to get to. You'll get this in the early levels of the Outhouse.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1767/721.jpg Bomb Blaster (B)

Eliminated 20 Fireflies.

Fireflies first appear on level 7. They explode upon contact with a flame, taking nearby rope with it, lighting new fires. You should get this near the end of Fire Pit levels.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1767/68E.jpg Electrician (B)

Eliminated 30 Electric Bugs.

You first encounter electric bugs in level 23. When you hit one, they start a fire at the location of the other one on the level. You should get it right by the end of the Wood Pile levels, or at the start of the Dock levels.

http://www.ps3trophies.org/images/trophies/1767/725.jpg Soaking Wet (B)

Eliminated 30 Water Bugs.

Water bugs first appear on level 49. Unfortunately, they do nothing but douse the flame that hits them, but you must hit them or you suffer a 5% penalty (and if you miss them, you pretty much can't get gold). You'll get this in the Wagon Wheel levels.
