INTRODUCTION
Brink is a timed objective class-based FPS mixing in elements from Team Fortress 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Borderlands. The game's trophies can be obtained offline, online, or a mix of both offline and online gameplay (4 challenge trophies must be obtained offline, see Challenge-Related Trophies in the guide for more information). Trying to attain all trophies offline is a difficult task and the game is significantly easier when played online. The game will immerse you into a unique art style with hundreds of customizable characters traits, abilities and weapon modifications.

There are four character classes: the Soldier, the Medic, the Engineer, and the Operative. The Medic heals fallen teammates and buffs their teammates' health. The Operative can get intel (radar) on enemy locations, performs acts of hacking, and disguises himself as the enemy. The Engineer can repair, upgrade, and remove hack boxes/Timed-C4/Landmines. The soldier can plant C4 and replenish ammo. Each class has a specific "buff" they can apply to themselves and team mates and as you level up you can purchase more buffs to apply. Players can customize their characters and buy items with experience points, which are earned by completing objectives. You will need to change classes at in game "Command Posts" in order to complete progressive objectives in the level you are playing, for example you might be required to start as a soldier to blow up a door but then the next objective requires you to be an operative in order to hack a safe. You can depend on team mates to do the objectives however they don't do them well.

Important note is that anything accomplished in single player (offline) will also carry over to multiplayer (online). In other words the game is indifferent to your stats when playing online or offline. If you reach level 14 in offline play, when you play online your character used in matches will also be level 14 and retain all abilities, upgrades and mods you've applied previously.

Feel free to watch this video I made showing Brink's interface, customization and discussing trophies:

STEP ZERO - THINGS TO BE AWARE OF BEFORE STARTING THE GAME
In Brink there is one annoying collectable trophy, "Well that was Educational" which requires you to complete EACH primary objective (for offline play) as both the defending and attacking team. For example if one map requires the Resistance to defend a computer from being hacked, you will need to remove a hack box that the enemy places on the objective for it to count as being defended. In terms of offense, if the objective is to place a charge on a door, you will have to go to the objective as a soldier and place the charge and ensure it detonates in order for it to be counted as the objective being completed. There are 74 audio logs tied to the sum 74+ objectives in the game. You can only earn ONE audio log from winning a match at a time in offline mode requiring 74 individual games that you win. You attain 2 audio logs per match you win when you play in Co-Op. More details will come on this after. It is assumed at this time that playing through the co-op campaign twice will unlock all audio logs (unconfirmed) making this trophy significantly easier.

One more thing to be wary of is how you are spending your upgrade points when you level up. You will be required to purchase several different class abilities for certain trophies. See the "Class Specific Trophies" section for blue text next to trophies that require certain abilities to attain. The required abilities you will need to purchase are:
Grenade Shooting - Under Universal, available from level 1
Transfer Supplies - Under Medic, available when you reach level 4
Command Post Upgrade - Under Engineer, available when you reach level 4
Cortex Bomb - Under Operative, available when you reach level 14
Satchel Charge - Under Soldier, available when you reach level 20

STEP ONE - COMPLETE ALL 4 CHALLENGES
After you've created a character, before jumping into the campaign it is recommended that you play Brink's Challenge Mode. There are 4 challenges each consisting of 3 difficulties (one, two and three stars). The reason you want to do this step first is because it will unlock all weapons and attachments for you to outfit your weapons with across all characters (if you make more) making the campaign mode easier. See the Challenge-Related Trophies section of the trophy guide for video walkthroughs I made on each challenge. When you've completed this step, enter the character customization and outfit any weapons you want to use.

Total time investment: 2-4 Hours

STEP TWO - COMPLETE THE RESISTANCE & SECURITY CAMPAIGNS ON EASY/IN ONLINE VERSUS MODE
Now that you've completed the challenges you will be able to play any campaign mission with the weapons and attachments you've unlocked. If you are playing this game offline it is recommended to play all 6 story missions as well as the "What If" missions on each side (16 missions total) on easy first as it will lessen headaches when you replay the campaign on hard (as you'll get a feel for maps, where objectives are, etc). You can start the game on hard and try to knock all the story-related trophies out in a single run however if playing offline you'll need to grind out the audio logs anyways which requires 74 offline wins so you might as well play on easy first to avoid headaches. You will attain all 6 story related trophies in this step if played on easy (see the Story-Related Trophies section of the guide).

If you are playing and win the full campaign in online versus mode you will also automatically attain the "Tough as Nails" trophy and will NOT be required to beat the game on hard mode (offline). You can knock out all 7 story related trophies with 1 playthrough in online Versus Mode. This is the preferable step making the "Tough as Nails" trophy much easier to attain, especially if you're playing with a formalized squad of friends.

Total time investment: 8-14 (offline) |or| 7-14 (if playing online Versus Mode)

STEP THREE - REPLAY THE CAMPAIGN ON HARDEST DIFFICULTY (Only if playing offline)
If your first playthrough the campaign was offline on easy mode you'll be required to play the campaign again on Hard Mode. If you played through the campaign in online Versus Mode then skip this step. Enemies do more damage, are more aggressive, there are more "heavy" body types (meaning they have larger health and more deadly weapons) and your teammates (AI) start off doing very little support until time winds down.

Total time investment: 16-24 Hours |or| 7-14 (if playing online Versus Mode)

STEP FOUR - CLEAN UP IN FREEPLAY MODE FOR AUDIO LOGS
You'll most likely attain many of the objective specific and basic class specific trophies when playing through the game for the story-related trophies but if you're missing any now is the time to clean them up. In freeplay mode you can adjust settings to aid you in attaining any class specific or misc trophies you need if required. (see the Collectible-Related Trophies section of the guide).

Total time investment: 19-27 Hours (offline) |or| 10-18 (if played online Versus Mode)

TROPHY GUIDE

- Time to sleep
Earn all other trophies.
Get all other 36 disc-based trophies in order to unlock this trophy.

Challenge-Related Trophies

- Well done!
Complete your first 1 Star Challenge
See the King of the world! trophy.

- Very well done indeed!
Complete your first 3 Star Challenge
See the King of the world! trophy.

- Who's bad?
Complete all 1 Star Challenges
See the King of the world! trophy.

- King of the world!
Complete all 3 Star Challenges
There are 4 challenges in Brink each consisting of 3 difficulty levels that must be done OFFLINE (cannot do it online Co-Op). Each STAR has its own difficulty, you do not need to complete the challenge on easy, normal and hard. It's best to complete all 3 stars on easy (select easy in campaign mode and it will carry over to challenge mode). You will need to replay the same challenge 3 times in a row, when you beat the first star on a challenge you will not be able to replay that star on that character (the game will automatically move you to the second star and when you beat that the game will move you to the third star). Even on easy the challenges can be very tough. If you find you cannot beat them it is likely because you're character is too high a level. Simply start a new character and play all the challenges and the enemy AI will be easier. I have created my own videos with strategy commentary to aid you in beating them:

Challenge 1 - Be More Objective Stars 1-3

Challenge 2 - Parkour This - Stars 1-3

Challenge 3 - Escort Duty - Stars 1-3

Challenge 4 - Tower Defense - Stars 1-3

Story-Related Trophies

- The start of something big
Win any mission, whether Campaign or What-If
Simply complete any mission under the Campaign

- You've saved the Ark
Win all main missions of the Security Campaign (no including What-If missions)
See the To serve and protect trophy

- You've escaped the Ark
Win all main missions of the Resistance Campaign (not including What-If missions)
See the To serve and protect trophy

- Viva la revolution!
Win every Security Campaign mission, including What-If missions
See the To serve and protect trophy

- To serve and protect
Win every Resistance Campaign mission, including What-If missions
Win all 16 missions under the Campaign mode. This can be done on any difficulty and online or offline.

- Tough as nails
Win all storyline campaign missions (not including What-If missions) playing either Online Versus, or in Hard mode
Simply select to play the campaign in online Versus Mode before selecting a mission (There must be at least 1 other human player or else the game will not give you credit towards beating the level in Versus mode) and complete all 12 levels (excluding the 2 What If missions on each side). If you are playing offline you will need to beat all 12 missions in HARD MODE. If you are having difficulty beating levels on Hard it is likely because your character is leveled up past level 10. Simply start a new character @ level 1 and beat the campaign on hard (you can complete whatever missions you couldn't complete on your main character or opt to play the entire campaign on hard). The reason for this is because the game's enemy AI will be less aggressive, they won't be over buffed (with health, kevlar, weapon damage, etc) and your teammates will be smarter.

Class-Related Trophies
All of these are boostable online.

- You can place another mine now
Take down an enemy with a mine
To deploy mines you will need to be the Engineering class, simply press on the d-pad to bring out the mine and hold to deploy it. This requires 1 supply meter to use. You can only have 1 mine deployed at a time and if you deploy a second without the ability to deploy 2 mines (purchasable upgrade not required for this trophy) the first mine you placed will disappear. The trophy will pop when an enemy gets killed from the mine.

- I live....again!
Revive yourself
When you get "killed" you will be incapacitated, simply wait for a team mate to come over to you and throw a revive syringe and then revive yourself by selecting the revive tab on the on screen menu at the bottom of the screen and hold down . Very easy to attain offline as the AI will almost always revive you.

- Not so sneaky now, are you?
Reveal an enemy in disguise
You will need to be an operative class, this trophy is easier with the skill Homing Beacon which is attainable at level 4. Simply aim down your sights at any character for 2-3 seconds and they will be outlined in red if they are an enemy, eventually you will come across a player that has disguised themselves and it will be broken. You can always see enemy operatives indicated by the sign beside their health bar when you get them in your reticle. If you want, you can also just follow around an enemy operative in disguise and wait for him to take on a disguise to reveal him.

- A bit of a headache
Take down an enemy with a Cortex Bomb - Requires Cortex Bomb Skill
You will need to be an operative class with the skill Cortex Bomb which is attainable at level 14. Wait until you are shot down and incapacitated and then when an enemy is approaching you/gets close go over the Cortex Bomb option on your menu and follow the prompt to detonate and kill the enemy.

- Tis better to give than receive
As a Medic, using the Transfer Supplies ability, give the last of your Supplies away - Requires Transfer Supplies Skill
You will need to be a medic class with the skill Transfer Supplies which is attainable at level 4. When your supply meter (shown around your supplies in the bottom left corner of the screen) is down to the last pip, use this ability to give it away to any team mate.

- Pump up the volume!
Upgrade your team's command post - Requires Command Post Upgrade Skill
You will need to be an engineer class with the skill Command Post Upgrade which is attainable at level 10. You will have to go to a secondary Command Post (Supply/Health) that is under your teams control (or capture one) and then hold to upgrade it.

- It's a trap!
Take down an enemy with a Satchel Charge - Requires Satchel Charge Upgrade Skill
You will need to be a soldier class with the skill Satchel Charge which is attainable at level 20. Throw down some satchels and then run to hide (camp) somewhere with your reticule over the satchel and when an enemy is over it press to detonate it.

- Smart decisions win battles
Attempt to Revive an objective-class teammate over a non-objective teammate near a Primary Objective
You will need to be the medic class for this trophy. Stay near an objective and wait for 2 team mates to go down. Revive the one that is required to complete the objective (for example, if you have to repair a crane, and there is an engineer and soldier that go down near it, do not revive the solder, throw a syringe at the engineer).

- That mine you found? Disarmed!
Spot a mine which is later defused by another Engineer
A challenging trophy to accomplish offline due to the stupid AI, but nonetheless you will need to be the operative class. Press on the D-pad to see if there are any enemy mines deployed, if there are select that objective on your wheel and the game's objective marker will show you where that mine is. Simply go to it and mark it when an engineer is near by for them to diffuse it. Much easier to do online, but if attempting offline, you should use immikeulate's method, which can be found here: Offline That mine you found? Disarmed! Method

- Brinksmanship
Complete an Operative Primary Objective within 5 seconds of breaking disguise
You will need to be the operative class when the objective that needs to be completed is hacking a control box (for example on the Shipyard Map the second objective is to hack a control box). Hack the machine up to ~95% (or ~85% if a teammate is hacking with you) and then stop, find a dead body (or make one by killing an enemy close by) and use the disguise ability, then go back and finish the hack to attain this trophy. This one is probably easier to attain offline. Thanks to PowerPyx for the video:

- Boom!
Detonate an HE charge
You will need to be the solider class and play on any map that requires a door to be blown up (for example, security side offense on Container City, it's the map's first objective). Simply plant the charge and defend it to blow up a door. Easily done offline in Freeplay with modified settings for 1 vs 1 (change team to security if you're not on there already) on the map Container City.

- Was it the red or blue wire
Disarm the HE charge
You will need to be the engineer class and diffuse and HE charge set by an enemy soldier on a door (for example, resistance side defense on Container City, it's the map's first objective). Easily done offline in Freeplay with modified settings for 1 vs 1 (change team to resistance if you're not on there already) on the map Container City.

- No I insist, you take it
Use the last of your Supplies to refill a teammate's ammo rather than your own
You will need to be the solider class. When your supply meter only has one pip left, simply find a team mate and give them some ammo instead of giving it to yourself. You'll likely get this naturally without even trying.

Collectible-Related Trophies

- Well that was educational
Collect all Audio Logs
This is the most annoying trophy there is. If you're playing the game for fun, online or offline you'll likely get this naturally with 20+ hours of gameplay. However if you're specifically going for this trophy you'll have to complete and win 74 matches offline (or half that in online co-op) as well as complete all the attacking and defending primary objectives. You can check the Dossier on the game's main screen and then clock on Audio Logs to see 6 sub-categories of names. You can then check each person for the logs you've obtained and the ones that are still locked. The complete objective list, thanks to k1ll1ng5pr33 for posting it:

Spoiler! (click here to reveal)

Here is a video I made for those who want the quickest way to grind wins offline for the Audio Logs:

Misc Trophies
All of these trophies are easily obtainable in a FREEPLAY private match adjusting the game settings to 1 vs 1 (min/max teams set to 1/1) on the map I describe under each trophy. Keep this in mind as you read each trophy.

- Use the wheel, earn more XP
Complete an objective after first selecting it on the Objective Wheel
Press and hold on your d-pad to bring up the objective wheel. Then use your analog stick to select a specific objective and the objective marker in the game will guide you to it. Complete the objective to earn this trophy (for example, complete a secondary objective of hacking the side door as an operative during the beginning of the map Container City).

- Oh I'm sorry, was that yours?
Capture an enemy's Command Post
Using the objective wheel you can see where secondary Command Posts are, simply capture one that has been secured by the enemy. You will hear in game prompts when an enemy captures a command post so you know when to go after them.

- Not over till the fat lady sings!
Take down an enemy with gunfire while knocked down
You can purchase the skill Downed Fire to make this a little easier but you'll likely get this trophy without even trying. It's also better to play this on a full 8 vs 8 match. All you have to do is kill an enemy when they have knocked you down (ie if the enemy melee'd you or slide kicked you), there will be an indicator on the bottom of your screen showing your characters position as lying down, simply spray and pray while down to kill!

- Great shot kid! One in a million
Take down an enemy by shooting a grenade - Requires Grenade Shooting Skill
You will have to have the ability to shoot grenades under Universal abilities, purchasable right from the start. Throw an uncooked (don't hold it just throw it) grenade at an enemy and shoot it to kill them; it's better if you shoot them first to soften them up and then throw it. You can also shoot an enemy's grenade.

- I think I know a shortcut
Open a shortcut for your team
To get a shortcut you'll have to complete a secondary objective usually when attacking. An easy place for this is unlocking the side door as an operative wright at the beginning of the match on the map Container City. Thanks to PowerPyx for the video:

- Cut 'em off at the pass
Close an enemy team's shortcut
Play the Shipyard map as the Resistance and as the engineering class. Repair either the side or main barricade which is a secondary objective (you can use your objective wheel by pressing to guide you to the objective). Repair either barricade and you'll get this trophy. Thanks to PowerPyx for the video:

- That's how you win a match
While on defense, take down an attacker who's completing a Primary Objective
Very easy, kill an enemy while they are completing a primary objective. Easier to do on defense. For example, kill an operative hacking a control box or an engineer repairing an objective.

- You shall not pass!
While on defense, prevent the attackers from completing their first objective
You'll likely get this without even trying but you must be on defense and prevent the enemy from doing the first objective. For example on the map Shipyard, just don't let the enemy repair the crane.

- They never knew what hit them
While on offense, win the match in less than 30% of the time limit
This one is best done in Freeplay mode and private match with the following settings:
- Game Mode: Stopwatch
- Match Duration: 30 Minutes
- Min/Max Team Size: 0/1
- Map: Shipyard (attacking as Security forces)
Simply repair the crane and hack the control box and the trophy is yours. You'll have no enemies on the opposing team with this set up so just complete the objective in less than 10 minutes (it only takes 3 minutes though).

- You're going places, kid!
Reach Rank 2
See Time to start a new character trophy. You'll get this naturally progressing through the game, when you hit level 4 it's yours.

- Time to start a new character
Reach Rank 5
You'll have to reach level 20 for this trophy which requires 300 000 XP, you'll naturally get to this level when grinding out the audio logs as they require 74 wins offline (or half that online). The ranks are as follows:
Rank 1 - Levels 1-4
Rank 2 - Levels 5-9
Rank 3 - Levels 10-14
Rank 4 - Levels 15-19
Rank 5 - Level 20

Yeah no problem, I just thought I would organize the guide this way see whichever people like to use more. You can use the challenge videos but I've made a few more vids I'm going to upload later to help with my trophy descriptions.

Hmm, I'll wait for one more confirmation. I tried to get it without this ability and couldn't, when I purchased it I unlocked it shortly after.

I got the trophy without it and I didn't know about the Homing Beacon until after I got it, but I understand if you want to wait for someone else to confirm.
